Reviews
The Darcy Hotel is generally praised for its friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, and great location in DuPont Circle, Washington D.C. However, some guests have complained about issues with housekeeping, small bathrooms, and extra fees for parking and amenities.

Nice hotel in a great location. Rooms were clean and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful.

GREAT
- 2/5
Food was VERY overpriced, but to be expected in dc. Tv was not able to watch anything live without constant buffering no matter what. Had the AC on full blast for 4 days and it was never able to get below 72 in the room. Wouldn’t come back until some updates are done. Staff was kind and the room was very clean
- 5/5
It was great
- 4/5
Staff was amazing! From management down to maintenance everyone was very nice and made a point to say hello!! The fee for parking was steep. The onsite parking details need to be clearer when booking. No self parking solely valet. Limited space available. Room was perfect and location amazing! I’m
- 5/5
Location was perfect. Clean property and the staff was absolutely amazing.
- 5/5
The shower! The best shower pressure I’ve experienced at a hotel by far
- 5/5
The Darcy is something I would explain as small, but mighty and fun and trendy. I love boutique hotels, and this one has been added to my list. I would stay here again and again and again the rooms were clean. The staff was super helpful and it was close to everywhere I needed to be.
- 3/5
Good location; strange decor, hotel rental bikes in poor condition. Expensive for what we received.
- 5/5
Great hotel and would recommend staying here. Walkable location, near good restaurants and the subway. Friendly staff from check-in to departure. Room is perfect for a solo traveler. Bed was super comfortable and the rooms really are soundproof. Recommended

- 3/5
I have been charged $35 extra for amenities that I didn't use. This is unacceptable
- 5/5
Steak and eggs was amazing. Definitely returning next year

Good one. I only spent...

Overall the experience was great. The mandatory $35 per day additional charge for other services weren’t that useful during my stay but it could be convenient for others.
- 5/5
Style of room is unique and functional
- 3.5/5
Location Room too small for the price; not many amenities or other facilities in the hotel.
- 3/5
We booked a king size room. I was traveling with my husband and infant son, and wanted the extra bed space. The Darcy is listed as a family friendly hotel, stated they offered king-size beds, and have refrigerators in each room. Sounds great-sold. Their king size beds are actually California kings. Again, not a big deal, although slightly annoying given there is a size difference between the two. Our room had the most narrow entry way for getting in, making moving in and out with a stroller REALLY difficult, and if not careful, dangerous to my infant who I was scared would get slammed by the door. My husband’s with me, with his help, we can manage the door, so again, annoying, but not the end of the world. Our “refrigerator” ended up being a freezer, so we couldn’t prep our infants formula bottles ahead of time without the formula freezing over. Annoying, but we can just prep a bottle one at a time, so solvable. By themselves, not a big deal. Combined, very uncomfortable stay. Why we won’t ever stay there again though is the day before check-out, we found what looks like a bed bug in our room! The staff were accommodating and moved us asap. That was the biggest red flag. For $100/night amenity fee, they could do better.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel in convenient location- walking distance to Dupont circle. Staff were friendly professional, and overall experience was everything I expected in a top notch hotel.
- 5/5
We had dinner and breakfast at the on-site restaurant-Gerrard Street Kitchen. The food was amazing! The service was excellent, especially from Saied at dinner!
- 5/5
They treated us as family not a stranger. The room was very neat. Bed very comfortable. The restroom was supplied with towels, and every morning. The view fron the window, looked unto the street and skyline. The front entertainment area was very nice, plenty of seating. The door Attendant were great! Very nice and helpful. They took time to talk with us. My experience was very positive. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Great location. Staff was so nice and helpful
- 4/5
The ice machine on the 5th floor produced ice maybe every other night. Otherwise, for ice had to go to 3rd floor. Water pressure/temperature/volume in shower is GREAT!!! Bath towels were better than most you would find in other hotels. Of course, very good location. I travel a lot for business & with family.I /we will stay here again & recommend to others.
- 3/5
The hotel is in a great location for navigating around DC. Bear in mind that we were there during Memorial Weekend, so we didn't experience the usual traffic. We also didn't visit the hotel bar, experience its food, or use its gym. The hotel mentions it has Pelotons but the rest of their equipment is bare minimum in terms of strength machines and free weights. The Darcy also touts that it is dog-friendly which basically means dogs are allowed to stay. They did not offer any amenities for dogs or even a welcome treat as other dog-friendly hotels tend to do. Additionally, they place guests with dogs on the second floor. I'm not sure what the other rooms were like, but our carpet was filthy to the point that I never once walked on it barefoot. It also smelled like a locker room. We were also a bit disappointed that the room didn't look like the photos you see online. The linens are the same, but the room itself is very small and the bathroom is tiny. Prepare to pay $35 per day for amenities like bottles of purified water, in-room coffee, and the gym - whether you use them or not.

My experience at The Darcy Hotel was outstanding. The staff showed exceptional hospitality, and Mr. Desu went above and beyond with helpful information about exploring Washington, DC. Unfortunately, I had to end my stay early due to a family emergency, but I fully intend to return in the near future to continue my visit.
- 3.5/5
What I didn’t like about the stay was the lack of variety in beverages that were easily available to guests. While water was appreciated, there were times when we wanted other drink options, and because the bar was closed, there wasn’t really a convenient way to get anything else. Adding more accessible beverage options for visitors would definitely improve the overall experience.

Enjoyed the stay

I love staying at The Darcy - great location and very helpful staff.
- 5/5
Great value! Beautiful stylish rooms and nice restaurant.
- 5/5
Room was awesome. We had a bedroom. Coffee in room was perfect. Location of hotel was great, and room had a nice street view. We didn't have breakfast but the bar was great. I wish it was open earlier. We were on the last day of work and first day of vacation. Bar was going to open after we left. Nothing, except that minor open bar issue. We loved everything. We wish we could have stayed another day or so.

This is a nice, clean hotel in a good location but unfortunately the staff does not match that level. Both at the restaurant and the front desk. Management should invest in better training for the staff.
- 5/5
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Darcy. Very convenient location for touring D.C. Room was spacious. Daily housekeeping was excellent. Staff friendly and responsive.
- 5/5
Great location and wonderful staff!

The staff are friendly and helpful.

Room was clean. TV didn’t have great connection, tried to watch the Stanley Cup playoff game and it cut out frequently.
- 5/5
Staff was terrific. Cleaning could have been better.
- 1/5
No. Waited forever for a simple overpriced breakfast. Minimal choices to chose from and lousy customer service
- 4.5/5
Superb
- 5/5
Best staff ever! Delightful Darcy cocktail at happy hour! Clean and comfortable accommodations. Great shower. Very good breakfast, again excellent wait staff! I've tried hard, but can't think of any complaints!

I drove 300 miles to enjoy the room I specifically booked, which said it came with a deep soak tub. I was looking forward to bringing in my Mother’s Day relaxed and most importantly enjoy a nice hot bath. But when I got my room, their was no bath but a stand up shower that I could have done at home. Even though the photos showed I booked a suite with a deep soak tub, that is NOT what I was given. I was told my suite was the only suite without the tub. No accommodations were done. I was told they wouldnt charge me for the resort fee and refund me $50. I never got the $50. I am extremely disappointed and plan to contact corporate.
- 5/5
Always a great stay here. Breakfasts are excellent and the hotel is located well for travelers who like to walk around.
- 5/5
Nice stuff, clean rooms
- 5/5
Clean, safe, nice amenities, good value
- 5/5
Comfortable bed, delicious breakfast food, and clean and quiet floors - all made a great stat for a work trip. Will definitely book again
- 3/5
Nice stay, but if you have a connecting room, it is loud!
- 5/5
This was a great location to stay while in DC. We could ditch the car and walk to all rhe major locations.
- 5/5
The hotel was very impressive. The room was great. We had breakfast, oatmeal and steak and eggs with potatoes and they were phenomenal and well seasoned!
- 5/5
Very helpful staff.
- 5/5
Chocolate covered strawberries were delish. Service was great.
- 4/5
Property was good. I did not like the bathroom doors. Difficulty using television. Very close to everything.
- 5/5
Spiffy, clean, quiet, and elegant.
- 3/5
On the positive side... the hotel is attractive, the restaurant is nice and the location great
- 5/5
Great staff. Perfect location.
- 5/5
Friendly staff at check in and loved the cocktail hour and restaurant/bar/coffee shop onsite
- 4/5
Over all clean, very friendly staff
- 5/5
One of the nicest hotels we've stayed at. Could have used an extra chair in the room for the short times were in there.
- 4/5
The staff was friendly accommodating and attentive!
- 3/5
My room and rooms of my colleagues were not cleaned and smelled almost moldy.
- 5/5
Great decor.
- 5/5
The Darcy provided a lovely experience for my 2 night stay. Though I did not take advantage of room service, the room amenities were very nice and he location was convenient.
- 5/5
Staff is excellent
- 5/5
Staff is excellent

The crib offered was not a crib but a pack n play without a mattress. It was hard. The room felt worn. Also we asked for
- 5/5
Check-in was very pleasant
- 5/5
Easy check in. Let us check in early which was a nice touch.
- 5/5
Great hotel and extremely helpful staff.
- 3/5
Staff wasn’t great. Room wasn’t cleaned. Better service could be provided. Good overpriced and kit quality.
- 4/5
Very good
- 3/5
Bad shower/bathroom sinks
- 5/5
There was a bad smell in the bathroom when I checked in.

- 5/5
Highly recommend staying here.
- 4/5
Hotel practices of charging for Spa or Resort fees that include complimentary or seldom used items needs to stop.
- 4/5
Nice staffs, decent room condition.
- 4/5
Very clean which made it super comfy, and everything worked well (hot water, fridge, and heater). The fan however was too loud we had to turn it off in the night and some furniture have some wear. The service was exceptional and the ladies made us feel welcomed... until the early morning, where we were awakened by kids screaming and running down the hallways but otherwise amenities and everything else was great.
- 5/5
Fantastic location!
- 4.5/5
Superb
- 3/5
The “resort” fees are ridiculous, as there are few amenities.
- 5/5
Great place, clean and the staff very welcoming
- 4.5/5
Fromt desk y receptionist super! Room clean and all works!
- 5/5
The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The location was great and it was an easy walk to attractions.
- 3/5
the front desk staff were rather rude but it is an OK small boutique hotel with small rooms. Not on Dupont Circle as was advertised. It is on Scott Circle. The parking is additional $60 a night. Nobody helped us with our luggage and it seemed understaffed. Would not recommend.
- 5/5
Staff are exceptional. Always very helpful and courteous. Room was nice and clean.
- 5/5
Everything so perfect I love this hotel
- 4/5
The staff was attentive and helpful. Met all our needs upon request. Room clean/ comfortable beds provided a great night sleep/refreshing powerful shower with immediate hot water. Delicious food selections at in house restaurant with efficient staff. Close coffee houses great for am walk. Loved our stay and would reccommend highly. Also... super pet friendly of both dogs and cats!
- 5/5
The cleanliness of the hotel is also commendable, with well-maintained rooms and public areas that create a pleasant atmosphere. Overall, the Darcy Hotel combines a welcoming environment with quality accommodations, making it a highly recommended option for those visiting Washington, DC.
- 3/5
Great location & staff. The doors & windows are solid & sound proof. Yet, not the walls; I could see just normal conversation from the room next door - glad they did not turn on TV or so.
- 4/5
Great location. Nice stay. City view room was everything. Food was good at restaurant and staff was attentive but timely service was lacking as clearly they were understaffed.
- 5/5
We had a great stay! Room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Location was great!
- 4/5
Clean room, staff was amazing, loved the coffee shop downstairs. Easy access to everything. Would stay again and recommend.
- 1/5
The floor was very dirty, and the room was not properly sealed. There was a lot of noise from the room next door, making it difficult to sleep. The elevators were very old and small. There was no parking available, and the consulate directed us to another hotel for parking. Overall, paying $500 for one room was extremely expensive considering the poor conditions. They charged us again for amenities after we paid at the beginning.
- 3/5
The room was one of three smallest rooms I’ve ever stayed in. I’ve stayed at multiple hotels in this area this room was noticeably smaller. The hallways are dark and the lighting is dated. The hotel needs a refresh.
- 5/5
Lovely boutique hotel. Super friendly and accommodating staff.
- 5/5
Well organised hotel.
- 5/5
One of the nicest places we have stayed. All clean room with renovated fixtures. Nice lobby. Great staff. Great area. Would happily stay again.
- 3/5
It was fine. Not
- 5/5
Friendly staff, spacious and clean rooms. Would happily stay here again.
- 4/5
We enjoyed our stay at the Darcy. Our room was really quiet and clean. It was a little smaller than we expected from the pictures but still very nice. Everyone was very helpful and we really liked their daily happy hour!
- 5/5
I have stayed at the top hotels across the country and the hospitality here was the best I have ever experienced!
- 5/5
The gym isn't great but they do have Peloton bikes which works well for me. The staff was incredibly friendly. The $34 resort fee is a little annoying but the cocktail at 5 was fun.
- 5/5
Staff are super helpful and accommodating. Arrived around 12nn and had an early check-in. Location is also super convenient and near tourist spots. Highly recommended!!! ✨
- 5/5
Friendly and helpful staff; safe and lovely surrounding area; clean rooms, bathrooms and common areas. Will return.
- 3/5
The Darcy is a beautiful hotel. However, the was a strong, pungent smell of mildew in our room.
- 4/5
Cons: Resort fee for what? Tiny bathroom
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Everything was perfect, friendliest staff of any place I’ve stayed in a very long time. Would definitely stay again on my next trip to DC.
- 4/5
rooms were small
- 5/5
Absolutely wonderful experience!
- 4/5
The room was smaller than I expected but it was clean and nice and when i needed a microwave they brought one up to the room. We had a king bed city view suite
- 5/5
Very nice hotel. Excellent staff, especially Desu and DJ.
- 5/5
Every part of the hotel was excellent. From the service to the room and location.
- 5/5
The Darcy Hotel had everything I needed and hoped for, and more. It was a great experience!
- 5/5
It was my first time staying at The Darcy. It was a very cute and upscale hotel. The bar and restaurant attached had really good food and advice. My only down side was the gym. It was very small. As long as you are the only one working out it is cool! I would definitely stay there again as long as working out is not on the agenda.
- 5/5
Wonderful people from the valet to the front desk. Everything was clean and well kept. The location was great. Loved it.
- 4/5
The front desk staff dealt with a lot and you could tell they were stressed. The bellmen were all very kind. The breakfast was delicious and the bar downstairs excellent.
- 5/5
Was great all around
- 5/5
Courteous staff, quick service, reasonably priced valet parking. Excellent value for the price
- 2/5
Left restaurant after waiting for 15 minutes for anyone to come to me. Two machines broken in the fitness center. Outlet broken in room. Doorman rarely on duty.
- 5/5
The staff were friendly and helpful!
- 5/5
It was clean and people were nice
- 5/5
really kind staff dealt with a lot of requests made a last minute suite upgrade happen
- 5/5
Antique, classical and tranquil stay!!!
- 4/5
The door staff was exceptional! The desk staff was moody and dis-associative.
- 3/5
AC too loud
- 5/5
Amazing stay and staff
- 5/5
The staff were very friendly, attentive and efficient from the moment we pulled up to the hotel. The staff were polite. The service impeccable. The room wa clean and the bed was very comfortable.
- 5/5
Staff were excellent. Great location. Rooms were clean and lobby area was great to meet with friends
- 5/5
Loved the stay!
- 1/5
I am now holding 13 minutes For someone to explain to me how this was billed. The only people who were pleasant were the door man and valet. The desk staff were appalling. Rude and did not remotely address my issues. We were inDC to collect my deceased stepson's remains. The restaurant was obscenely overpriced with lackluster service. One of the worst hotel stays.
- 5/5
Nice clean room. Great hotel bar and restaurant.
- 5/5
Nice boutique hotel. Very comfortable, great location. Polite staff. Etc…
- 5/5
Ended up stuck in Washington DC after a flight cancellation, found The Darcy on short notice. Friendly staff who were happy to offer late checkout and other flexibility since I was unsure when I would be able to get another flight, nice room, very cool decor in the lobby.
- 5/5
Great staff, comfortable and clean room. Its my DC home away from home.
- 5/5
I would surely stay at The Darcy Hotel again!
- 5/5
Staff, room, location, restaurant
- 5/5
The hotel was beautiful, updated, friendly, attentive staff, goods room rate.
- 5/5
It was a great experience. Room, location, restaurant etc all up to par. The service on the other hand was exceptional! In the hotel and in the restaurant in it.
- 1/5
Overpriced, rude, charges for any small thing, security guy thought he owned the place. Not helpful at all.
- 5/5
It’s definitely a cool hotel. I like it. It’s comfortable nice clean restaurant and bar downstairs is very nice.
- 5/5
Safe, Walkable and staff
- 4/5
The staff are amazing. Very helpful. Accommodating. Our bathroom had mold in it. We switched to a new room and the bathroom in the second room had a slow drain in both the shower and the sink. They need to invest in updating their plumbing.
- 5/5
Special mention to Khadijah, Safa (front desk) and Mohamed (door) Thank you 🙏
- 5/5
One of the best hotels in DC recommend highly
- 5/5
The Staff was amazing. Everyone was very kind and helpful. Very clean, charming and great location.
- 5/5
Great stay overall! As a frequent corp traveler, things that matter most, as funny as it may sound, are how quickly I can get up to my room. The FD staff is efficient and flawless, got me up in no time. The room itself was clean. The FFE could use some updates, but nothing that stuck out immediately. Thank you!
- 5/5
clean room, staff, amenities, location
- 5/5
Awesome spot
- 5/5
This hotel is a hidden gem!! It is updated and has a great vibe. Every staff member we met was fabulous!!! Would give six stars if I could. In addition to the cool factor of this hotel, its amenities were impeccable and the location with available food and bar options in the neighborhood convinced me that I found my go to for my DC visits now. Job well done Darcy!!!!
- 5/5
Intersting fun design, friendly helpful staff, and great location
- 5/5
Great location. Easy check in and spacious clean room. This hotel "Checks all the boxes"
- 5/5
Nice staff , compfy bed
- 5/5
Great hotel! Very clean. Warm staff. Will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect
- 5/5
Courteous staff. Nice rooms
- 4/5
Rooms are smallish. The bathroom is very narrow! Disappointed in room service options (main reason) we picked this hotel.
- 5/5
It was amazing
- 5/5
Staff was ALL excellent and welcoming. I felt like this is my home away from home - not kidding.
- 5/5
The hotel was wonderful. It’s older and needs some updates, but very clean, and nicely set up. The biggest issue I had was I door dashed some food in and it kept getting delivered to the wrong location because the GPS is incorrect for the hotel. Would definitely stay again.
- 3/5
Too many fees. Charges you for 24hr vallet even if you don’t use it starts for day of check in. You pay for all amenities and you don’t really use them. Drinks at bar are great but food in restaurant is not as great as surrounding places
- 5/5
Valet was also great, lobby and hallways had great atmosphere. Overall its one of the best hotels I have been to in terms of room, staff service and hotel design.
- 1/5
The room is dark and the carpet looks dirty.
- 5/5
Nice rooms, very helpful staff. Had an issue with miscommunication and an erroneous charge with the front desk, but it was handled to satisfaction within a couple days by management. Great location, close to everything and would stay here again in D.C.
- 5/5
Cute hotel. Attentive staff.
- 5/5
Everything is great
- 5/5
Everything wonderful
- 4/5
Nice location, the people working there were extremely helpful and attentive, parking kind of expensive ($60/night) so after one night i found another place to park, free bottles of water which are convenient, easy in room temperature control, overall a nice stay
- 5/5
Very cool place to stay, great location
- 5/5
Great location! Wonderful staff! Lots of areas to gather with friends and family!
- 5/5
Great hotel, clean, classic design rooms. Staff is wonderful and helpful. And kudos to Desu who was the first face to greet me and the final one to see me off at the end of my stay - an absolute ray of sunshine.
- 5/5
If you want a 4/5 star hotel with an unpretentious vibe overseen by a friendly and attentive staff, this is the place for you. Oh, and it’s the only pet friendly hotel I’ve been to that does not charge a pet fee (i.e. pets stay free)!!!
- 5/5
The staff was great. Everyone was very friendly from the door person, front desk & bar staff. We did not have a chance to try the restaurant. Will definitely stay again on our next visit.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff, allowed me to check in early and held my bags for a few hours on the day of checkout since I wasn't flying out till later. In a great, safe area. Would happily stay again.
- 5/5
Staff was very courteous, great location!!
- 4/5
A nice hotel in the heart of DuPont. Staff very nice. Only negative was being in a room with an adjoining door to the room next to us. We could hear everything in the next room, including someone snoring (lol!) luckily I wear earplugs and my husband sleeps w/o his hearing aids.
- 5/5
Great staff! Bathrooms are a little small but would stay there agin
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Staff super helpful as always. Bed was great.
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
From pulling up in our car to walking into the Darcy, we were treated extremely well. The dooman, Solomon, was friendly and courteous. The young woman at the desk, Ellen, was pleasant and professional. The hotel was beautiful and inviting. It was also very quiet which I truly appreciated at night while sleeping.
- 5/5
I didn’t have breakfast there and didn’t know it was free
- 4/5
Great location
- 1/5
Heater of room is so loud. After turn off the heater, motor sound is terrible. I asked to change room . After changing room, next room was so loud until 1:30am, the heater sounds is also so loud.I requested to refund, and they upgraded room but guest service and valet parking ( fee: $60) is so slow,. I should wait for over 20min to get my car. Also I almost fell down because water of floor of inside elevator. It was so terrible experience about the Darcy. I never trust Expedia review, and I never use Expedia again
- 3/5
There was an additional amenity fee per day that we were not aware of until it was too late to change plans. We could hear the room next door - watched tv until 1am and then again at 6am.
- 5/5
Everyone was wonderful from the check in to the valet. Amazing.
- 4/5
It was convenient to my conference and property was very pretty.
- 4/5
The Darcy was a vibe. The ambience was nice. The rooms were clean. The staff was pleasant and always smiling. If you’re thirsty, don’t worry you can get a water at the moment‘s notice. If you’re looking for a quiet and stylish hotel then choose The Darcy. Also a 10 minute drive from almost everywhere.
- 4/5
Overall clean and tidy. The restaurant menu is not very big and expensive but good quality
- 5/5
Excellent hotel in a perfect area, close to all the attractions. Staff and rooms were superior. 5 star.

I experienced a problem with my room. Staff immediately took care of it. This was an absolutely great team. They also spoke with a smile. Great people. Great hotel. Definitely on my list for future stays.

One of my best stays overall. Wonderful staff. They were very helpful and accommodating. Rooms were clean. Good quality coffee. (And for those who care) the water pressure here is superb! Gym was clean and well equipped. I didn't use board rooms, but I saw nice board rooms. But above all, I was really impressed by their staff and how helpful, professional and accommodating they were.

The Darcy employees were very kind and knowledgeable. Super easy to work with!

Great! We will return! Happy hour was nice. Unfortunately parking at hotel cost is on the high side.

We enjoyed our room, the property, the staff were kind and helpful.

1/ The bathroom was dirty with toothpaste behind the mirror, the bed was not made right (the sheets were not put in the right direction making the mattress bare where my feet were.). 2/ the cleaner knocked super loudly at every door at 8am and opened our door, turned the light on and was going to start cleaning despite we were sleeping. We had to kick them out! 3/ the AC makes the whole hotel super cold, more than any other place innDC. If you like being in a fridge you will love it.
- 5/5
Our King 1 bedroom suite was quite spacious. We enjoyed the gift of fruit and macarons on arrival. The bathroom was enormous and had separate bath and shower. We all took baths in the huge soaking tubs! The front door staff was particularly gracious. Only hiccup was getting the couch made into a bed for sleeping. It took 4 hours and 2 requests. We would love to stay again if we see a “deal” in the future. Regular prices are out of our range

Had a good experience. 100% recommend

I loved my stay at The Darcy. Andrew at checkin was just awesome! Hotel was clean and comfortable, and it’s close to so much, as long as you don’t a bit of walking, and the staff really do a good job servicing the rooms. The king room I was in did not have much of a view and the rooms are small, but it felt cozy. The bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to get up each morning. I’ll be back, I hope!
- 5/5
Andrew is fabulous and always has the best recommendations for food and other special things in the area. Kayla is extraordinarily helpful and was able to give me a super late checkout so I could take my work call from my room. Teo was fabulous at check-in. Frew and his team are the best doormen who greet you with a smile and friendly hello and always, always open the door for you when you enter the hotel. The housekeeping staff are incredible and take immense care in making the rooms perfectly spotless. The rooms are well designed and incredibly comfy. Such great sleep and they’re incredibly quiet! The restaurant and bar staff are friendly, efficient, and so lovely. The food and drinks are top notch!!! The area is the best and within walking street of everything you need on P Street and close to all the best attractions. I can’t wait until my next stay!

5/5 a day ago on Google The Darcy hotel and staffs were amazing. My husband and I stay 3 nights for our son DC wedding. The front desk staffs were super nice. When it rain they offer us an umbrella to used, always offer bottle water coming and going. Kept our room clean. We had an incident the first night we arrived, the bed mattress was wore out, took us to another room for us to check and it was not right. The third room was perfect. My husband and I let the hotel for a dinner engagement, when we return, we were surprise to see the staff had in our new room a complimentary fruit tray with different kind of fruit, cookies. Wow that was amazing. Thank you Darcy staff for your warmness and kindness. We plan to stay with you all again. The hotel is classy and we enjoy our stay. The price is average compared to other hotel, which are extremely expensive, but Darcy hotel is worth the stay. Darcy is in walking distance to the White House, the monument and smithsonian. Darcy staff we will see us again!

The TV did not work during our stay. The shower did not drain properly while in use, and the air filter was noticeably dirty
- 5/5
This is my second stay at the Darcy and it is just a wonderful experience.

The rooms are small and cramped, internet is really bad, unreasonably expensive.

- 5/5
The hotel location is centrally located to everything without the downtown traffic. Overall rating is 5 stars because we were extremely happy with our stay. Thank you.

I absolutely love the property! The design showcases a remarkable attention to detail, from the beautifully arranged decor to the thoughtfully selected furnishings that create a warm and inviting atmosphere. On a particularly warm day, the staff pleasantly surprised me by providing ice-cold water, which was a refreshing touch. Housekeeping was exceptional, ensuring my room was impeccably clean every day, with fresh linens and all amenities replenished. Overall, it made for a truly comfortable and enjoyable stay.

My stay at the Darcy was exceptional. From check-in with Joy to the end of my trip, every single staff member was incredibly kind and attentive. I loved the fruit plate in my room upon arrival! The rooms are extremely comfortable, spacious, and calm. The staff and food at the restaurant were phenomenal too. I look forward to my next stay!!!

The staff at the Darcy was amazing. I stayed in one of their king suites which was an equipped with a sofa, coffee table, desk, fridge, and bar area. The location perfect as it was walking distance from so many great bars and restaurants as well as many sites you would want to visit while in DC.
- 5/5
The hotel is in an excellent location. Very clean, safe and accessible to all DC attractions. The hotel is very clean. Staff is very friendly. Joy, Safy, Solomon and DJ were always very friendly and helpful. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. The attached restaurant has a great breakfast. A must stay.

Great
- 5/5
The hotel itself is gorgeous and conveniently located. Everyone from the valet to the door man to the concierge are extremely accommodating and attentive to detail. Unlimited water and espresso doesn’t hurt either. We liked it so much we stayed a second night. Highly recommend
- 5/5
The front desk staff is great - tbey went out if tbeir way to be helpful and accommodating. The roo. Is a bit "dated" but very clean, and the matfress waz really comfoftable. The only complaint is that the wifi kept going out so we had keep signing in. The staff did try to help, but the wifi continued to be problematic. Because it wasnt solved, they removed the daily amenity fee from our bill, which we really appreciated.

I was exposed to BED BUGS and when I talked to the Director of rooms, Denzel Wong he treated me like i was an idiot. He said the 61 bites on both legs were mosquito bites. I told him that I had gone to get cream for the aggravation and the pharmacist at the nearest CVS said with hesitation that is was BED BUGS.
- 5/5
Staff was wonderful. Only downside was the outside temperature. Staff offered bottled water every day in lobby

- 5/5
Great hotel experience!
- 3/5
The location and the staff are great.
- 5/5
Great location near 14th st restaurants and stores, embassies, and not too, too far from monuments. I would stay here over hotels closer to monuments and downtown DC because I think it’s better to have proximity to bars and restaurants at night
- 5/5
Our visit coincided with World Pride, and we were pleased to find ourselves in a safe and supportive environment. The proximity to various gay-friendly establishments further enhanced our experience and solidified our positive impression of your property. Thank you once again for the wonderful stay. We look forward to returning in the future and will not hesitate to recommend your establishment to friends and colleagues.

- 4/5
All of the staff was extremely welcoming, friendly, and professional. They truly cared about their service to make you have an enjoyable stay. The hotel is in a lovely area with so many fantastic food options! There are people walking around in the neighborhood all day and eve which makes it enjoyable. There is also a real nice restaurant in the hotel with excellent food, ambience, and service. The lobby is small but nice and feels welcoming. There was an issue with the heat not working but the staff was very professional and caring and worked to resolve the issue.
- 4/5
this property is pretty good. the staff is mostly good but ocassionally a very boisterous and over-talkative evening manager. he's nice just a bit over the top. otherwise, the staff is quite good and professional. staff is generally good. rooms are nice and clean, but I'd still rate this as a four in many areas. I dined at the restaurant once; not very good; lobby is nice. in my room, you can hear banging throughout the night. I'm not sure if it's the elevator or something else. but it's somewhat noisy.
- 5/5
I lived in DC for 15 years and have stayed in several hotels while visiting for work since. This is by far my favorite hotel. The staff was welcoming and helpful, the complimentary cocktail is a nice touch, and the location is perfect to reach almost any DC neighborhood in a reasonable amount of time.
