Reviews
The hotel is generally well-liked for its cleanliness, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. However, noise from nearby bars and courtyards is a common complaint, and some guests have experienced issues with air conditioning and hot water. Additionally, parking and breakfast options are limited.

Proximity to main attractions Hotel is next to a bar and noisy street
- 3/5
Bed was comfortable. Television was good size, probably because it was right on top of the foot of the bed. Good body and hair care products provided. Room was cramped; very tiny as in microtel style. Room size was not in the pictures provided when booking. Flintstone type table and chairs, not the comfy ones shown. Breakfast should be in the overinflated price. $100 incidental fee is too much; no way anyone could even cause $100 worth of damage to that cubby hole. Fortunately, we are both short in stature.
- 2/5
The hotel location was very, very noisy. It was difficult to sleep throughout the night lots of sirens people talking, and it was very warm in the room, even with the air conditioner going.
- 4/5
The property did not have hand soap for the bathroom. They stated they were out of hand soap. This was not an ideal situation after using the toilet and not being able to wash your hands properly.

Everything was great especially the staff. They were all so kind and helpful. If I find myself in DC again I will definitely be staying here another time.

Nice place nice
- 5/5
Convenient, clean hotel, close to GW, Duport circle, and Georgetown.
- 5/5
Everyone was nice and helpful.
- 4/5
Very accessible to downtown DC, loved Casta's (restaurant and rum bar located right next to the hotel). Staff were very pleasant and helpful, room was clean, spacious and a unique layout that my partner and I loved. The only caveats would be that some of the amenities (a lamp in the living room and the toilet paper holder for example) were either already broken or could very easily come loose. The expedia listing says that there is on-site parking but that is inaccurate: on the brightside, you can park in the Ritz-Carlton via Spothero for the same advertised price (24/7 in and out access for $40 a day). Never had an issue with finding parking spots in the garage itself.

Great location

The rooms were overall clean and comfortable. The staff were all very kind and helpful. We had some issues here and there with the things in the room not working but the issue was resolved quickly. The parking was a bit of a hassle. The location is perfect for walking to restaurants and GWU. The bar is a bit loud at night.

Great room and staff.

I had to go to the reception for another roll of toilet paper. There was only one in my room, also the same thing happened to my second room that my family was occupying.
- 4/5
My daughter and I stayed for four nights and loved the location. Really great proximity to Georgetown and to the tourist attractions down by the White House. I think it’s a great place to stay for the money.
- 5/5
Great location and kindly staff

Everything are very good. We only have one issue about room cleaning, because the person don't refill the toilet paper.

This is a clean and comfortable bare bones hotel. I expected a little more from the photos, however, it is in line with the price. The rooms were clean and staff were very friendly and cleaning staff made an extra effort to make the stay more pleasant.
- 1/5
When we arrived the staff was nice but our room did not have body wash, lotion, Kleenex or coffee pods. The staff brought up these things. The other bigger problem was the room was on the second floor above the Cuban restaurant and bar. It was very loud until 12:30 am both nights. We mentioned it both nights. We asked about a higher room but were told that there were no other rooms. I would not stay there again due to the loud noise of the restaurant/bar. We needed to go to bed and get up early so this was BIG disappointment. It was not clear when booking.
- 3/5
Room was fine. Thermostat did not work. Not ideal. BR pretty tight. Water cooler in lobby broken. Fair hotel. Good location. Prob would not return.
- 4/5
Great location would stay again. About 10 min walk from 2 metro stations. Does not have a manager reception like most Hilton properties. If your room is near Casta’s Thursday thru weekend- you will hear crowds cheering , music. But we were so tired we didn’t care.
- 3/5
Moving air in the room and very loud bar downstairs
- 4/5
There was only enough toilet paper for one wipe. When my wife asked one of the employees in the hall, he said you have to go to the front desk.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay!
- 5/5
Céntrica … personal muy atento
- 1/5
The hotel room was small and dark and smelled like food. The hallway was not clean. Bags of towels lying outside my door and garbage on the carpet there. The utility closet was open and was also filthy with food scraps on the floor. There was no one at the front desk when I was try to check out. Several other people were waiting at the front desk, the phone was ringing and no staff was available. I eventually just left my door key cards on the desk. Awful experience.
- 5/5
The hotel was centrally located, happy hour at the restaurant was excellent and the bed was extremely comfortable.
- 3/5
Rooms were not very clean and they fill the lobby with a strong air freshener. The breakfast area in the basement is strange and not overly desirable. Bed was very comfortable.
- 5/5
Clean room.
- 5/5
great location great room staff was ok
- 2/5
People hang outside of the hotel restaurant/bar until well past midnight talking loudly. The noise makes it impossible to sleep in the rooms facing the front of the hotel.
- 4/5
Clean room but AC didn’t cool down the room enough and has bad placement. Staff at the hotel is great. Plenty of stuff to do around the hotel. There are optional parking garages that are cheaper nearby but the closest one is high dollar at $40 a day.
- 5/5
My son left his wallet in the dresser so, we had to turn around and go back to get it. They had it ready for us at the from desk already when we got back.
- 5/5
The hotel smells lovely when you walk in with pretty decor, then you’re greeted by friendly staff. The room was spacious and clean. There are places for breakfast and dinner within short walking distance. Randi at the front desk made great suggestions and followed up to see if we’re enjoying our stay. I would definitely stay here again.
- 3/5
Nice location, friendly staff, room heating equipment
- 5/5
This was a great hotel option in the Georgetown/Foggy Bottom district of DC. I loved being a short walk to different restaurants and cafes and a quick drive to the capital's museums.
- 3/5
Room was clean, beds comfortable. Staff was friendly. The pictures show a restaurant that is not connected to hotel, not recommended by staff. The “breakfast” or morning coffee that is offered is in this restaurant but staff did not mention it. Looks like a cute restaurant but was not recommended by hotel staff when asking for dinner recommendations. No pool, no workout center, no onsite parking. Parking garage is around corner.
- 4/5
The receptionist was kind and switched us to room 103. Large room, nice amenities. We loved being on the ground floor, loved the kitchenette. (although the fridge was so cold, our cheese froze) Still could hear the Latin music but we could live with it. There is no on premise restaurant or bar. Location is good and neighborhood is decent.
- 3/5
Stayed here for a nearby conference. It is in a very convenient location and the room was reasonably large. The construction is cheap. I could hear running water and people closing the blinds in the neighboring rooms. The shower water knob was falling apart and it was hard to to get the water going and to regulate the water temperature.
- 2/5

- 3/5
The room was nice, and the beds were a pretty good size. The only thing I did not like was that there was no laundry, but the description mentions laundry. There is no laundromat nearby, so if you are staying for long, it might be an issue.
- 5/5
Clean and helpful staff
- 4/5
It was ok. No fitness room, no complimentary buffet.
- 5/5
The hotel is inviting, and the staff is extremely kind and helpful.

Remarkable comfort and great value...
- 3/5
This hotel is one of the few with two beds in a room, plus a kitchenette. Close to the metro. Alas, lots of deferred maintenance, starting with the absence of a street number and the lack of light in the street at night, which makes the property impossible to find in the dark, and ending with a broken coffee machine. Great location and idea, but lack of care.
- 5/5
Beautiful, clean, spacious room. I liked the window shades!
- 5/5
So clean! Just wish it was continental breakfast! Loves it overall though
- 4/5
It was fine. A little surprised that soda machines were not available and a can of soda was $6 in the market.
- 3/5
Overall a nice stay but I wouldn’t return or recommend. The hotel is situated next to a bar which plays loud repetitive music until around midnight, so if you’re staying on the right side of the hotel be aware of this or ask for a room change. Fortunately I packed my earplugs but on the Friday night I could hear the music through my earplugs as well as people at the bar screaming and shouting. It didn’t ruin the stay or massively disrupt sleep but it was an annoyance.
- 2/5
The room was fine, but the parking is nonexistent and it’s incredibly difficult to get in and out of the hotel if you’re driving. I do not recommend.
- 1/5
Low level of service, not helpful staff, expensive for nothing
- 4/5
Staff were very helpful when me and my team stayed here during a business trip.
- 3/5
The room was nice, with a comfortable bed, a little kitchen area, an ironing board, and quiet. However, there had been a water main break in front of the hotel a few hours before my check-in (4 pm-ish) and I could not use the water at all for most of my 1-night stay. Staff was apologetic and courteous providing bottled water to brush my teeth etc. But, what would have been more helpful to me would have been a call at least a couple of hours before check-in to allow me the opportunity to choose an alternate place to stay. As it was, I was exhausted when I got there and not familiar with the area, so I decided to make the best of it rather than cancelling the reservation and seeking other accommodations.
- 4/5
Comfortable beds and comforters. Nice staff too.

Clean room, friendly staff

The tub stopper needed to be fixed. I had to hold up the tub stopper for the water to go down. One lamp in the room did not turn on. Everything else was fine. There’s a sink, garbage, microwave, and fridge in the room. The room was comfortable overall.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
Amazing room and great staff members, the best hotel to stay in DC.
- 5/5
Great hospitality!
- 4/5
Clean rooms, helpful staff
- 5/5
Great location that was surprisingly quiet. Lots of restaurant options within walking distance along with easy access to K Street. Friendly staff, very clean, comfortable bed... will stay again. There are stairs from the street to the lobby.
- 4/5
Beautiful artwork and decor.
- 5/5
Nice gentleman at front desk
- 5/5
Great experience
- 4/5
TV remote is very difficult to use.
- 5/5
I was apprehensive about staying in this hotel after reading some of the reviews, but it ended up being a lovely experience. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a safe area with plenty of restaurants nearby, and easy access to transportation to get to the museums. The staff was welcoming, and the lobby decor was very boutique like and pleasing to the eye. I would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Great staff and rooms
- 4/5
Great working distance to the metro, the the historical sites. The room was nice and spacious and the beds were comfortable. Staff where friendly but on check out the staff member of the desk was on a private call with their family on loud speaker and on video. This was very unprofessional, loud and not very relaxing as they mentioned several times how tired they were at a 12 o'clock check out.
- 4/5
It was a great location and very friendly staff. Our room was right above the bar/restaurant and it was a bit noisy on Saturday night. Not a problem on Sunday night. The room itself was great and had a nice sitting area.
- 4/5
I kind of liked the room, but it was a little awkward to due placement of the furniture. The refrigerator was buzzing in my room (I believe 501) and the bathroom tub faucet was loose and the bathroom was a little small. The location was great and I will probably come again, but reserve a larger room.
- 4/5
On noisy street, brekfast is not a buffet as advertised. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
Nice rooms. Quiet. Easy check in and out.
- 5/5
Room was super clean the bath room was extremely clean I love that was it wa super quiet and i definitely felt safe
- 5/5
I love the facility and staff!
- 3/5
Good area. Average hotel. Fulfilled my purpose but nothing extra or exceptional. Got bitten by mosquitos every night. Never has happened at any hotels I've stayed at. The windows I think have weak points that allow for mosquito entry.
- 4/5
Good location to explore DC.
- 5/5
Yes, clean room, and very nice staff at front desk.
- 4/5
It was nice to have a microwave and kitchenette area.
- 4/5
We had trouble with the shampoo dispenser in the shower and TV didn't work on the all the channels but overall everything else was fine.
- 5/5
I loved the location and wish I'd explored more. Staff was exceptionally helpful to the old lady who always try to do things ashe shouldn't lol
- 4/5
Good location for the event I was attending. The only thing that would be better is having a ramp option for entering the hotel. There were brick steps on the outside and then several more steps inside to get to the lobby area.
- 5/5
Very affordable property within walking distance of different places in the Georgetown area. Happy with our stay.
- 5/5
Great staff too
- 5/5
very good location.
- 5/5
Perfect location. Loved having the Restaurant right down stairs. Will stay here again
- 1/5
Noisy. I could hear music and conversation from the dining hall late into the night.
- 5/5
Everything was great and great area, I definitely enjoyed my stay in this hotel.

Amazing staff!
- 5/5
Staff was incredible, above and beyond.
- 4/5
Nice hotel
- 3/5
The biggest issue was the A/C system, which only offered "Fan On" or "Fan Auto" modes. Even on "Auto," the fan ran loudly all night, making it difficult to sleep. Soundproofing was also poor—thin windows allowed constant noise from the neighboring rum bar, Costa’s, which was active late into the night. The hotel’s aesthetics felt outdated, far from the modern, boutique experience expected from a Tapestry by Hilton. Having recently stayed at another Tapestry property in Wilmington, NC (which was excellent), this location fell significantly short in comparison. Modern amenities like Chromecast or AirPlay were missing, and the cable options were limited, resembling those of a budget motel rather than a Hilton-affiliated hotel. While the room was clean and the neighborhood felt safe, the overall quality and comfort were lacking. I would not recommend this particular Tapestry location and hope Hilton considers updates to align it with the brand's usual standards.
- 3/5
The hotel itself was in an OK area and provided options for excellent restaurants within walking distance. I was able to walk to Georgetown for dinner and there’s an excellent Indian restaurant close by. The parking situation isn’t great. You have to park below the Ritz Carlton, which is close by but not directly across the street. I arrived later in the evening and didn’t like having to navigate to a different parking area. The directions I got from the front desk weren’t very clear. I just found it really inconvenient.
- 5/5
Excelent
- 4/5
I did not like that the water in the shower was not hot in the afternoon or evening; though it was better in the morning, but I think it should have been so at all times. I also think it unusual that they still have not sent me a receipt for my stay.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly. Room was spacious and clean.
- 3/5
Goof
- 3/5
Decent hotel in good location. Staff was friendly!
- 3/5
The AC in our room didn't work. They moved us for the rest of our stay. The staff 10/10
- 4/5
Great location, convenient for walking
- 5/5
Place was comfy; clean; cozy, and quiet. We recommend it!
- 5/5
You see a lot of reviews of the place being loud, it’s not at all besides a car alarm going off other than that the staff was pleasant did not need much from them check in was simple, room was clean, location is close to DuPont circle 10min walk for the metro, would stay again.
- 4/5
Conveniently located near many embassies
- 5/5
I had a good stay. The staff was super helpful and very friendly. They offer aminties like a fridge, microwave and coffee maker, which is super helpful. We were able to use a pullout bed for only $20 a night. The location is great, with lots of places to eat. Overrall we had a great experince using Expedia. I recommend your website for anyone planning to travel.
- 3/5
Friendly staff and they were attentive and helpful. Could not get hot water all the time in my room, especially the sink faucet. Overall, it was clean and a nice hotel.
- 3/5
Staff not friendly
- 3/5
My credit card number was stolen by desk clerk when I "signed up" for Hilton Rewards. Hilton then charged me many fraudrulent claims and my credit card shut down. Terrible!
- 4/5
Nicely done inside; parking description on site is misleading, though! They don’t have their own lot.
- 5/5
Great location, very friendly staff. Room size was average for the city. Would recommend!
- 5/5
We were close to everything. Love the whole downtown area lots of shops and restaurants.
- 5/5
Great hotel and friendly staff. Plenty of places to eat and visit within walking distance. Would stay here again
- 5/5
Good location parking is across the street. The room was very good.
- 3/5
I never checked in. When I arrived, there had been a power outage. There was no heat, hot water etc. Staff didn't know the power would be restored. With that, I had to go to another hotel. This is probably a great property otherwise.
- 3/5
A very average hotel. Nothing compared to the pics Expedia shows on their website. Staff is ok
- 4/5
Need to upgrade coffee service I room. Real creamer instead of that nasty powder.
- 5/5
Perfect spot for a work trip. Near Foggy Bottom and Dupont Metro Stations with decent dining options nearby. Check-in and -out were a breeze. My room was tidy and modest. Space was at a premium (and the layout was a bit gerrymandered), and still the room had everything I needed for a productive work trip, including a microwave, mini fridge, black out curtains, and good wifi. I look forward to staying again.
- 5/5
Great place to stay and affordable. This our second visit and definitely will come back again. Quiet and close to downtown attractions. My husband and enjoy the Casta's Rum bar that is just under the hotel.
- 2/5
A number of these rooms are directly over the open air back room of a rum bar. Great place for drinks, but it’s not a great place to get a good night’s sleep. You could hear music and loud conversations late into the night.
- 3/5
The hotel was fine - not bad, not special. But there was an oddly noticeable lack of staff.
- 4/5
Amazing city Washington! I loved it
- 3/5
The staff had great service and the location was near many shops. The downside was that the building seemed very old with facilities that had wear and tear. The room was a lot smaller than expected and there was no centralized heat; the heating system had poor quality and circulation. The bed was not comfortable. I was not satisfied nor very comfortable during my stay. I hope improvements will be made regarding these concerns.
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Convenient location
- 5/5
The room was decently-sized, had a fridge and microwave, and was comfortable and clean. The bathroom is a bit small but manageable. The location is EXCELLENT! I love Dupont Circle and this hotel is a great location to explore that area or walk to the metro or bus stops to easily travel elsewhere
- 5/5
Extremely friendly staff near the White House, fair value, a bit noisy because of nearby hospital and ambulances, walking distance to many dining opportunities. Rented a suite with kitchenette. Would do it again
- 4/5
-No wine glasses at all in case you decide to bring a bottle of wine with you. -Very noisy in the morning as construction is happening within the place and also late evenings as there is a restaurant with outdoor seating.
- 5/5
Fiyat performans olarak çok memnun kaldık. Çok yeni bir otel değil ama çok temiz ve rahattı. Yürüyerek tüm washington ziyaretimizi tamamladık. Gönül rahatlığıyla kalınabilir.
- 4/5
Clean, easy to access property with friendly staff.
- 5/5
Great location in West End. I had king suite which was like being in a one bedroom apartment - lots of space.
- 5/5
Great stay! Clean & comfortable rooms. Super helpful & friendly staff. Excellent location & Castas is terrific.
- 5/5
excellent receptionist
- 5/5
Clean and friendly staff. Great location.
- 4/5
Overall pleasurable experience. The rooms are quite large. Not having an exercise facility was a big con. I had to find a gym and get day passes for $25 per day.
- 5/5
Location, cleanliness and friendly staff
- 4/5
Everything was good untill the last night because our room was not serviced and we had to sleep in the room just they way we left in the morning. Wet towels, trash wasn't picked up, beds were not done the same as the bathroom.
- 5/5
This is an excellent hotel if you are visiting DC and wanting to be close to the Capitol and museums. The staff went over and above to help wherever they could, and were genuine and friendly. Beds were extremely comfortable and the room was dead quiet for a great sleep. Although there is no parking on site, there are plenty of options in the immediate area. Nobody wants to pay for parking, but it is a reality for built up areas such as this. Hotel is located within easy walking of the Metro as well as several restaurants. It is in a great walking neighborhood, with lots to see and do. We felt very safe during the day and at night. Would absolutely recommend.
- 4/5
When I checked in at around 5pm there was no one at the register, I saw someone in the office but she didn't come to the front.
- 5/5
I loved my stay! The great thing was the cold filtered water machine in the lobby and the room was excellent. The only thing was I was here on a Saturday night and the restaurant/bar next door was loud late into the night so just beware and being a noise canceling device if possible. Otherwise it was excellent and I would absolutely stay here again!
- 5/5
My stay was great for what we planned. My husband and I just wanted an overnight stay to break the norm. The room was super cute. Nice set up. Bed and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom was a little small but. Every thing was clean. Staff was nice.
- 5/5
The property was clean, quiet, easy to navigate. Parking across the street was fine for us. We got a suite which was very large and comfortable. I recommend the suite.
- 5/5
Courteous and respectful
- 5/5
Staff were very friendly and courteous
- 1/5
Carpet was dirty Room size small Towel was dirty No parking available , it was self park on different property.
- 5/5
Clean and extremely quiet room. A/c was cold. It’s not a luxury property, but the room was more than adequate, large for DC with a small bathroom. Lots of dining options within a few short blocks. And an easy mile walk to the Lincoln Memorial and the mall.
- 4/5
Very pleasant stay. Great location. Would be better if the water tap in the bathroom is higher and not so close to the sink edge.
- 3/5
The strange layout of the room and single seat sofa made watching television together impossible. The shared end table had only one working outlet and useless USB plugs. Fortunately we brought extension cords with us, (CPAP users require outlets near bed) even though one front desk attendant said they had one to use while the next said no we don’t have any for use. One of the two luggage racks was broken. The location of this hotel is the only reason we stayed.
- 3/5
Great location with nice view but noisy at nights and uncomfortable pillows
- 5/5
It was an ideal location. Cozy and comfortable
- 5/5
Staff were so friendly and helpful! The beds were super comfy and the room was so nice. Great location, just down the street from a couple of amazing little breakfast spots. We really loved it and will book again if we go back to DC!
- 5/5
Very good!
- 4/5
Good location
- 5/5
This was the only hotel during GW graduation weekend that had reasonable rates.
- 3/5
Everything was clean and fresh however they didn’t deliver additional towels when we requested. Also were out of coffee pods for 2 of the 3 days we were there. There is a bar next door that was very noisy on the weekend nights we stayed. Avoid rooms that face the street!
- 5/5
Quiet and very comfortable. Nice size rooms and helpful staff.
- 2/5
Bath tub faucet broken and fell off preventing shower working.
- 4/5
Quiet neighborhood until got awakened at 4:30 am by garbage collection.
- 5/5
A very nice place to stay in DC.
- 4/5
average hotel, clean, staff is friendly.
- 1/5
No hot water unless you ran it for fifteen minutes. Limited tissue and towels. A cup for coffee would be nice compared to paper cups
- 4/5
The manager on duty, gets a bad attitude
- 3/5
This was an adequate hotel
- 3/5
Easy walk from the metro. Overall, location was okay. Rooms large but not designed well. No workout facilities was a disappointment.
- 2/5
Attached bar very loud.
- 3/5
The downstairs bar was quite noisy.
- 5/5
Outstanding hotel and a large comfortable room
- 5/5
Nice, large room with separate sitting area. Clean, comfortable and extremely convenient location
- 5/5
I have stayed at this location twice - once with my teenage son and most recently for work. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. I also love the kitchenette and the fact that the room is divided. The spacing allowed my son to watch tv while I did some work across the room at the table. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well.
- 5/5
Will definitely return
- 5/5
The beds are comfortable. The property is well maintained.
