Days Inn by Wyndham Waynesboro

A concert in the area left this as my only option. My main complaint was the cleanliness. Room had a smell, there was a fingernail on the bathroom sink and walking barefoot left dirt on my feet. Sheets & towels were clean. Staff was kind.

We were in the first floor and there are obvious signs of leaks and patches in the bathroom and bedroom ceiling, which makes me worry about mold. We would never stay here again. Do better, Wyndham.

Room was clean. Staff friendly. Breakfast was coffee, juice, and muffins. No place to sit. Just an old fashioned continental breakfast, not what most hotels offer today. Sink leaked. Shower rod about to fall off.

The staff person was very friendly and tried to be helpful. The hotel is old and not well maintained. Only one of our beds had the spread on it. Ceiling fixture had no globe and one bulb was missing, the other was burned out. Neither lamp worked. One had no bulbs and the other had both bulbs burned out. Smoke detector was gone off the ceiling and stuck in the bedside table. Tv did not work. The staffer wanted to move us to a different room but we left. It’s a one star hotel at best.

Very dirty and unkept. The room smelled like an ashtray. There were stains on the walls and a missing bathroom vent fan with hanging wires.

Great hotel, clean, great amenities. On checkin I had a problem with hotels dot com. The receptionist was absolutely great. She spent a lot of time on the phone with hotels dot com customer service until the issue was resolved. Beds are very comfortable.

The bed was uncomfortable the pillows were the worst ever. We had to get new keys 3 times. Will never stay at a Days Inn again. Im a Wyndham Rewards Member and It doesn’t look good for Wyndham.

Drastically overrated on Expedia, this property is more in line with a 3-star rating or less. A roadside motel by the interstate in bf Virginia, the grounds were filthy, the room was poorly maintained with a cracked sink, an industrial-style gas station toilet and a noisy AC unit. There are other options in the immediate area -- avoid this dump.

This place was filthy. Dead bugs on the floor, used zip ties and blood. Stains on the ceiling and walls. The door did not seal, leaving a gap between the door and the ground.

This hotel was the worst I have ever been to. The toilet was sticky and there were brown smudges on the bathroom walls. The AC unit leaked a 10 foot stream of water across the floor overnight, soaking our clothing. The staff didnt care when informed, simply stating we would need to get a refund from Expedia, not them. It was disgusting in every way possible.

Easy on/off the highway property with a generous parking lot. There were a few places available to eat within walking distance or directly across the main road. Gas stations nearby as well for easy refueling. Front desk attendant was helpful and efficient.

But, most egregiously, the most offensive and disgusting part of this stay was when a hotel employee OPENED THE DOOR TO OUR ROOM WITHOUT KNOCKING at approximately 4:00 PM. My girlfriend was terrified and traumatized. Luckily, I had closed the security latch. After a very difficult attempt at a conversation, the employee claimed that we had called "maintenance." That would not have been possible from this room, as neither of the two phones connected to the wall actually worked. This hotel is a disgusting, filthy disgrace. I have honestly never seen a place this disgusting in my entire life. There were people openly smoking marijuana in the parking lot. Dogs barking inside the rooms at all hours. Car alarms in the parking lot going off constantly. If you are a decent person, if you value your safety, and you have any other options, DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.

Check in was suppose to be at 3pm, we arrived at 4:45 to no clean rooms. They tried to have us check into a dirty room and when I asked to just cancel the reservation (the place was notably filthy and there were several people waiting in the office because their room was also dirty) they informed us their cleaner had called out and they had 75 rooms that needed to be cleaned. They refused to cancel our reservation or refund us. Will never be using their services again.

The room was nasty and dirty—there were hairs all over the room, sticky substances (I think it was a sugary drink) on the floor, dust, spider webs, a brown bed, and a brown pillow cover, as well as mold. There was mold on the bed skirts, in the bathroom, and on the curtains. This was the nastiest, dirtiest room I have ever had. I don't know why, but they unplugged the microwave and fridge. They have plastic cup lids but no cups. They have an ice cube tray, but it is not clean, and there is no plastic bag to cover the ice cube tray. I go to the office and request one more set of towels, but they told me they would bring them to our room. We waited more than an hour, and they never showed, so I went again and picked them up. The doorknob is not working well, which is not secure at all. I requested an extra blanket from the office, put it by the door, and got chairs to block the door. I went to many different hotels, but this is the worst. Even if it is a cheap hotel, they wash and put clean bed sheets, but this hotel and hotel room are not clean at all. Dirty, nasty, not secure; the staff is not friendly or helpful. Do not stay at this hotel.

We had a van load of what appeared to be local construction workers just outside our door drinking beer in a van they were sitting in for about 4 hours before they moved into the room next to us for the night.

Do not stay here unless you are desperate like we were. There was hair on the toilet lid (bowl and seat were clean), in the shower and on the bathroom floor. One of the beds didn’t have a bottom sheet and there was a huge gap under the door. A trim board was lying in the exterior hallway outside the room - nail side up.

Furniture had been updated recently as well as the flooring, however the walls had missing drywall and the ceiling tiles in the bathroom were falling in. A dessicated Wendy’s French fry fell out of the “clean” towels hanging in the bathroom. The bed seemed clean and was comfortable. Most likely will try to stay at different hotel in the future. 4/10 experience

Staff was helpful and courteous moving us to another room when items in the room were broken. Bed was very comfortable. First room, lock was broken, not very clean and light fixture issues. They moved us to another room. They needed to explain how to flush the toilet as it is very different--push the handle in vertically to flush, I needed both hands. Bathroom had black mold in the ceiling and there were minimal towels so we asked for more. Over the bathroom mirror light had to be plugged in with a cord, no working switch. There was a heat light above that the switch worked.

The room had stains and tears throughout the room . The bathroom did not look very clean at all. There were brown stains on the ceiling that looked like oil marks ,brown rings in the sink and tub…holes and tears all over the floor- I would not go there again. To say it was just run down is an understatement.

The room looked nothing like the pictures. One of our beds had no frame and the boxspring was on the floor. Tub had black mold and room smelled of cigarette smoke. The latch for the door to outside was missing so no added security to lock room. Comforters looked brown and dirty.

The room was rough, you could say it was a bit of a hole... check the pictures for context. Despite the strict no smoking policy, the bathroom smaller like the teacher's lounge from the 80s. You can see the nicotine stains on the ceiling in the bathroom. Thankfully the room wasn't carpeted. The room just needed a full gut and refresh really.

Disgusting rooms. Door didn’t lock properly, I had to really shove it hard to lock it. It seems like it had been kicked in before….I felt very unsafe there. Non-smoking room smelled of smoke. You could tell it’s never been officially cleaned properly. Big gross stain on the ceiling above the bed. There was some brown liquid that spilled on the wall by the bed as well.There was hair and gunk in the shower, dirt and dust crusted all along the floor boards. Tv remote didn’t work unless you were standing in front of the tv. The outlet near the desk was black, like there had been an electrical fire so I didn’t feel comfortable plugging in my laptop. I knew this wasn’t a four star hotel…my expectations were pretty low… but this was fn horrible. I immediately left, drove 10 minutes away, and spent only $10 more to stay at an amazing hotel. Unless you’re desperate, someone points a gun at your head, or have literally no other choice…don’t stay here. Deserving of one star because at least the employees or whatever were nice enough. Didn’t get any money back though but I don’t even care bc this place was awful.

Room was dirty. Refrigerator was propped open, unplugged, filled with wet towels, and floor was wet. Walls were slimed with stained. Bed linens were dirty. Asked to change rooms. New room was not much better and located immediately next to another non-smoking room with the smoker smoking heavily right outside the door. Bed linens had cigarette burns and were stained.

We left within 10 minutes of checking in. There were sketchy people in the parking lot, sitting in vehicles and watching guests, there was a shopping cart in front of the entrance to the second floor, and once we got into the room, it smelled of body odour bleach, and cigarettes. The bathroom was filthy, and the bedside tables had sticky spilled to drink on them. We immediately left, told the front desk that it was unacceptable, and booked another hotel.

The stay was not horrible but it was definitely somewhere I wouldn't stay again. The room we stayed in was sketchy walking to the room from the parking lot. The room was ice cold and took hours to warm up. The toilet seat was loose and the toilet flushed so violently that it scared the crap out of me. There was no channel guide so we just had to flip channels like pioneers. The beds were unlevel and the head was downhill from the foot and they were extremely uncomfortable.

Unfortunately the room was infested with unwanted guests like Roaches. I sent a text asking if there are any room without roaches where I can accommodate my wife and kids. This property is horrible, dated, very dirty and not suitable for anyone to stay in. I took pictures and videos of the room and property after reserving online paying $283. I get there after driving 3 hours. With no way to get another hotel until morning, I had to Lysol the bed and everything then slept on top of the covers with my jacket under me. Please don’t stay at this location. The next morning the owner admitted to not having housekeeping staff and recycling the linen. Floors dirty and filth all over the walls in the restroom. I can’t believe Wyndham let this hotel still operate. I took pictures and videos and hope that I can find a site to post them for potential customers. When leaving that morning and taking a loss on what was suppose to be a 2 night stay. I witnessed 2 men possibly in their 70s attempting to dump trash and make beds in another room. I may have slept 45 minutes and have other witnesses to this mess. If I could give a “0” I would. Wyndham has lost a customer and I am in works to collect a full refund even if I have to spend double to get it. Its principles for me…False advertisements

Didn’t like the fact that although situated and booked in the US with a US debit card because I inadvertently booked via the Expedia UK website it was much more expensive than if I had booked online via the US website ! My unfortunate learning experience never to be revisited !!

Room 246. Deadbolt didn't work. Cable for tv not attached so no reception. Double beds - VERY tiny. Breakfast is a loose term. Coffee maker, Few items. I would call it 'minimal continental' in hotel terms. Entrance before entering lobby desparately needs upgrade. Best thing was the two guys working there at check-in and check-out were very nice, helpful and polite.

Pictures they show must be from when the hotel open. There is no signage telling you what hotel it is. The exterior of the hotel is by far not well kept. The rooms have a funny smell. Does not feel like a safe atmosphere especially if you have small children. Some guest actually live in their rooms.

The room sell like cigarette and the floor was dirty. There was a guy doing mechanics at 10:00pm in front of my room. Weird people seem to live there. It was suppose to be a non smoking place, but I had a big hastray in front my door. I don't call breakfast a counter in the front lobby with muffin and a toaster.

The hotel is not cleaned properly. It's very old and not being looked after. I paid for a non-smoking room, and it smelled unbearably of cigarette smoke. My next-door neighbor was making a lot of noise, you could hear everything. It was horrible. I don't intend to return to this hotel and I don't recommend it.

The only suggestions I to make my stay better: a trash can was needed in the bathroom and a coffee pot and coffee would have been nice.

Close to a lot of restaurants and high ways. Pool does not look clean. Room had a smell I went to two rooms and both smelled. But bed is comfortable even though there are stains on the white bedding but very good bedding. I believe the room has been clean it just has smell because maybe the people that are in the room smoke or are dirty I don’t know

While the room was spacious, it seemed to be missing something. A table and chairs perhaps? Also, there were no towel racks in the bathroom. The tv was fine, but the bed not so much. Very, very hard. If you don't mind your room being lit up by the outside lights, (we do mind), you'll be happy with the amount of light that shines in. Needless to say, not a restful night.

The tv's had recently been changed out and the connection to cable was just stuck into the tv instead of properly being attached. This caused the cable to be fuzzy. When i inquired about this at the desk i was informed they just hadn't gotten to correctly attaching them yet.

Flooring was coming up, appeared to be furniture missing, tube faucet took two hands to turn and water kept runnig after turned off, safety latch missing on door, and the light in bathroom didn't work.

At 7 pm a maid attempted to enter the room without knocking when my husband went to the door and asked what was she doing she handed him a towel! Apparently only 1 was left in the room. We made the best of this stay but will NEVER stay there again!

Basically clean. Just old. Frig freezer was so iced over that the door would not close properly. But beds were very clean.

The room was nice and big. However the toilet didn't flush right. Had to flush twice just for pee. There were con webs in corners of room. Been nice to have a broom also in room. The pool was the best part!! Amazing and very clean. However, I didn't like that they let locals stay there or pay just to use pool. I think hotels should be for travelers.

We asked to be moved, our second room was marginally cleaner but between some long term guests that were out side a good deal of the time, talking loudly on their phones and smoking. The room phone didn’t work, there was stuff on the beds, hairs in the beds and the deadbolt was coming off the door. Tried to reattach but the screw holes were stripped. Fortunately, no bugs. Would not stay here again. Or recommend.

The staff were super friendly as we arrived quite late/early in the morning. However, the bathroom was flooded when we got to our room. There were pools of water leaking into the bedroom; could've been from a the leaking overhead light, or toilet overflow. Shower curtains were also moldy. The bedding was clean, though. We told management the next day, so hopefully they'll have fixed it.

The check in clark was extremely crude, the door lock kept messing up, so they moved us. Which i was greatful for. Then I noticed a change on the precheck in card, talked to manager, they said it wouldn't go through but it did and I'm still waiting on the refund.

Property is easily accessed and convenient to the highway. Exiting the property was challenging due to busy roadway. Room was dirty. Bed was dirty. Entry door was warped so much so that bugs came in. I had to seal door with a towel. I felt like I was being bitten throughout the night; however, I didn't see any bed bugs. The entire room requires maintenance, deep cleaning and painting.

The room was okay and the bathroom was mostly clean. Check-in was simple and the attendant was very kind to me. Okay, the reason for this review: There are obviously people living here. While relaxing in my room, there was someone loitering outside in their car with the music blaring. I was trying to nap and could not because of this. I had to message management through two apps before someone put a stop to it. This person stayed outside, near my room, all day and made me uneasy. Later in the evening and early morning, I could hear a television being played loudly and people talking and yelling. I booked this located for the affordability and continental breakfast. There was hardly a breakfast. It was individually wrapped muffins and maybe bagels (I can't remember). I do recall that the juice machine was out of order and the coffee did not look appetizing. So, overall, I would not recommend this location unless you absolutely have no other choice.

Great last minute stay

stayed here twice before and for the price it wasn't bad. This time, a different story. The first room they gave us had a smoky smell to it, and the room was a little dirty, bathtub was not scrubbed, stained chair and wall between window and ac unit was dirty. Second room was a total nightmare, bed not made and vomit on the floor, no kidding. needless to say we went elsewhere.

This place is filthy dirty, hair in the wash room and on the bed sheet, stained towels, room door was damaged and the locks don't work. Breakfast is a shame and service overall is so poor. It's highly priced than it's value. I would not recommend staying at this miserable property. I gave them one star only because there is no ZERO star. Terrible experience. Do yourself a favor and run away. What a waste of money :(

Clerk only initially gave us one room even though I’d paid for two, then second room hadn’t been cleaned…total disaster.

The owners have upgraded the property, though it is still a roadside motel. We appreciated the breakfast, friendly staff, and availability of a wheelchair-accessible room. All in all, we had a nice stay.

The room was dirty. The outside sign for the hotel was missing all the parts of it. Breakfast was in the lobby and pretty much nothing but a bagel, cereal or muffin.

Some of the lights didn't even have light bulbs in them. Not going back there.

The bed, and shower were satisfactory. Only had a 32” tv with a poor picture and limited channels. Remote did not work well. They do not service the rooms and when I asked for 2 fresh towels, they only gave me one and said the rest were in the wash. When I asked later, no towels were available. Breakfast very limited. This place is super dirty! The floors are disgusting and the overall condition of the property leaves a lot to be desired. The front desk employees were very nice, but this hotel needs to be condemed.

Do Not stay here. I knew coming in that this was not going to be luxurious hotel, but I had slim pickings due to it being graduation weekend. As it turned out, it was not even a mediocre place. It ranked well below Motel 6 standards and was comparable to a crack house. The place was filthy (blood stain on the blanket and visible dirt all over the floors), the shower had mold, the toilet was gross, the ceiling tiles were cracked and falling down, the tv wouldn’t work, the door and window looked like someone had tried breaking in (or out), there were holes in the walls, the furniture was a joke, and the entire “non-smoking room” smelled of smoke. Plus I spent about $130 for the night. The fair reviews have to be bogus. There is no way this is a “good hotel”. I thought Hotels.com only sponsored decent places to stay. I was willing to pay two or three times more money to stay at the hotel across the street, but it was too late in the evening to change. I sucked it up for a few hours and left before the crack of dawn.

Friendly staff

The motel office was dirty, the room was filthy hair in sink shower wasn't clean. Asked for different room was told because we booked and reserved through you. I and my wife were traveling for our 41st anniversary. This sucked!!

Checked in and pulled the sheets back to see if everything was clean, and there were stains on the sheets that looked like poo. Went and told the clerk and he offered me another room, and I said no thanks. He said he couldn’t refund my money and that I would have to get with Expedia to get reimbursed. The next day I contacted Expedia, who contacted to hotel. The hotel manager tried to refuse my refund because I didn’t take the room that was offered. He eventually agreed to refund me l. Avoid this place.

Upon arrival front desk was friendly and courteous as well as respectful but, the minute I got the keys and entered the room all I could smell was mildew as if the room had water damage in the past the bathroom was filthy dirty, dust and mildew surrounding the tub and flooring . I asked for another room which also reeked of funk but looked a lot better but was still the floor was very dirty as my socks turned from white to brown as I just walked to the bathroom and out , guys were outside the hotel which seemed to be a dope dealer/ pimp or both driving back and forth most of the night which was very sketchy, especially with me having my kids . Definitely the bedding was horrible as I woke with body aches and hardly couldn’t sleep because of the hustle and flow outside .

Breakfast did not have real juice, just the plastic bottle juice . Milk container was curdled all around top and smelled sour. I told desk and they brought a new carton. No place to sit for breakfast. Had to eat in room. Overall the place was horrible and would not stay again

Holes in the walls, large repair spot on the wall, bathroom door full of scratches and other marks, bed had a large sink hole on one side and the rest of the bed very hard and uneven. I did take pictures of all of this. Will not recommend this hotel to anyone and will not be coming back.

Pieces of the ceiling were on the floor before I was checked out. BUT the room was only $45 on Expedia, so I just took it.

Breakfast was too basic

Bathroom needed updating. Traffic noise. Room was very spacious.

First room sent to wasnt cleaned. However, the bed was comfy and seemed clean. Would not stay there again.

The heater in the room ran non stop it was clearly a room that was smoked in and the only chair was broke and dirty.

Good distance from Wintergreen and lots of places to eat nearby.

The front desk had a sign 'forgot anything, ask us' so I asked for a comb and the front desk said he didnt have any toiletries. The breakfast area was cold, sad and gross. Low price was the only thing this hotel had going for it.

2nd room the celing was literally caving in and there was standing water on the floor from where the roof was actively leaking and the bed was wet from the leak as well. We immediately reported the condition of the 2nd room to the front desk and demanded a refund. They said i would need to go through Expedia to request the refund. Ive requested a refund through Expedia and they have declined to issue a refund because they cant get in touch with the Motel supposedly. I just contacted the Motel with no problem at all. I wont ever book through Expedia again after loyally booking through them for over 10 years. I do not recommend staying at this Motel at all!

Bathroom fan switch is broken in the ON position and the bathroom fan is falling out of the ceiling. Breakfast room was unattended, the juices were empty, and the coffee was cold.

It was the cheapest in town and for the price it was amazing. A little worn due to age but clean rooms and great staff.

Ive stayed the many times before I wont be back No coffee maker in roof like it was showed They used to have microwave food for breakfast they don't have anymore The person at the desk said theyre no required to have them anymore They had a note saying nothing can be taken out of snack area I had to drive to Sheetz to get coffee and something to eat

Saturday 12/7: I went out to lunch with a few friends while my grandma stayed back in the hotel to catch up on sleep. When I returned around 3pm, she told me that someone from the front desk had called & asked if I “wanted company” in my room. She declined & the man on the other end said he would call back later. (If he did or not, I’m unsure, we were both gone from 3:30pm until well after midnight.) IF it actually was someone from the front desk, how very creepy. It’s creepy no matter what. Sunday 12/8: check out is stated as being at 11am. The new manager came knocking on my door at 10:15 telling me to check out. Normally I head out well before 10am but I had neglected my packing due to a long night at a public event in Gordonsville. I was under the impression I had 45 minutes to get my things together but he certainly seemed determined to get me out at 10:15. Other than the creepy phone call & the hasty “you need to check out” manager banging on the door 45 minutes before the stated check-out time, it was a pleasant stay.

Our room was very spacious and clean. Bed very comfortable. Our only suggestions would be to add room darkening shades as light filtering in from above and below the curtains was an annoyance for those of us who prefer darkness to sleep. Also while the worn leather couch is comfortable, it is very hard to get up from as its so low. Could also station the tv between couch and bed ao people have the choice to watch from bed or the couch.

Super sketchy, dirty, loud, roach motel that is also somehow expensive. Skip this and stay elsewhere.

Our room was dirty -- dirty floor, dirty bathroom sink. Pretty gross! The man at the desk was considerate.

After staying at this property my debit card was hacked. My bank alerted me to a number of charges made after our stay there.
