Spark by Hilton was perfectly suited for a quick overnight stay. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable and the basics needed for an overnight were supplied. The room lacked a personal coffee pot which required an early morning trip to the lobby, but for the money I spent, I was pleased.

Luckily we didn't plan on doing laundry as laundry was out of order. In general, the hotel is subpar and that was not the review the Comfort Inn had received when we booked it.

Room was newly renovated but not completed. Missing lights in ceiling, nothing in the shower to put soap or shampoo and conditioner on. I’ve stayed here before so I get the renovation part. But a completed room would have been nice.

Constant Construction in the hotel at ALL hours! They should have let me know that I would NOT be able to sleep because of all the “reinventing” going on the entire day and night! I definitely would have stayed somewhere else!

Nice clean room, recently renovated. Friendly staff. There was renovations going on but did not disturb us. The front flood lights were a little obnoxious, streaming in the window even with blackout curtains closed. The breakfast had a number of offerings. The usual eggs and sausage. Would have liked to have seen some bacon or premade omelets. All in all a great stay. We will return.

This property was about to undergo a much needed renovation starting with the 3rd floor. The breakfast offerings were limited. The mattress was in need of replacement . The biggest inconvenience was that we were unable to access the wifi without the assistance of the front desk clerk. When asked for instructions she said it would be easier to do it herself. Since it wasn't intuitive, written instructions for wifi access should be available in the room or given at check-in.

The staff was very nice and helpful! The room was nice and clean. The hotel was undergoing a renovation so there were some issues finding a working ice machine and the room phones did not work, but of course everyone uses cell phones so not a big deal.

There is construction going on and the noise was unbearable and we talked to management, got a refund (talked to your rep today) and got a room in another hotel. They were very nice and understood. It should be at the top of their website and on yours as well to let people know. I have a video of you want. Quite comical actually.

I checked in and as I always do, immediately checked the beds and found bed bugs. We complained to the hotel staff and said we would not stay there but since the supervisor was not present she said there was nothing she could do and she couldn’t refund my money. Booked this through hotels.com and they offered me a $25 One-key credit for a room that cost me over $110.

Internet even though they give you the passcode as reward .. it takes forever for you to bypass the confort rewards to sign up for. I want a FREE internet and no rewards BS to have my email overloaded with crap.

Frige, coffee maker and microwave are located in a strange place sitting just inside the door tucked in a corner, inconvenient location. Outside pool closed for the season but our bed was comfortable and plenty of hot water. Friendly, helpful staff!

I liked the size of the room...wasn't cramped. The staff was very helpful when I had a problem with the TV.

The lady who checked us in couldn't have been nicer. And that's about the only thing good I can say about the stay. The room had a very bad odor. The floors were too dirty to walk on with bare feet. The room had obvious wear that was poorly repaired. The security latch on the door was barely hanging on. We were only there one night and left as soon as we got up the next morning after a horrible night's sleep.

The room smelled damp, the shower was molded and the toilet was not in good condition. Instantly when opening the door, the stench was deplorable. The more I looked around, the more I kept telling myself this was only for a few hours. Will not recommend, nor stay here again.

Stay at this location for doctor's appointments at UVA. It is conveniently located and has always provided a good night's sleep, as well as friendly staff.

Our room was spacious and clean. We enjoyed a mini-workout in the gym with equipment that was all maintained and free weights as well. The breakfast room was pleasant and clean.

First impression was that it wasn’t quite as nice as the photos on the Expedia website. Having said that the room was large, clean and the bed was comfy. AC worked great but was a little noisy when it initially kicked in. Bathroom was super clean and looked like it had been recently updated. Breakfast was better than expected and bacon was in the menu. Coffee was decent and the staff were super friendly. All in all a good place to spend the night.

Stayed one night on the first floor with our dog. Comfortable stay, some things are dated such as bathroom door needed force to shut. Staff is excellent, the front desk was helping with breakfast service as the the actual staff called off sick.

Our only major complaint had to do with the water temperature in the shower and sink. I gave up on the shower because there was only a narrow control band for truly cold water and the rest of the band was "lobster boil" hot! There was no setting that produced comfortably warm water. A very small stream of water in the sink produced similar results.

I slept so well here. The beds are comfy and rooms are quiet. At at Cracker Barrel right next door.

Just wasn’t clean as the others I’ve stayed in.

The one staff person seemed completely uninterested and annoyed when checking me in. Her 8 year old son(?) pretended to be the one to check me in all the while playing on the front desk computer. At first it was cute but then he started making inappropriate wisecracks mocking me as I was trying to check in while the desk clerk talked on the phone, ignoring me and letting the young boy pretend to check me in. When the desk clerk finally checked me in, she was rude and would barely engage with me, did not welcome me as a guest and handed my key card to me barely making eye contact. Later in the evening as I was trying to purchase a snack item, I was ignored for 2-3 minutes standing at the counter with my snack and cash while the desk clerk was engaging with family members or friends rather than taking care of me as a customer. The young boy started making inappropriate comments to me again. When she finally came over to help she was snarky when asking me if she could help me. After returning to my room I could hear the young boy yelling and causing a ruckus in the reception area and he is still loud in the reception area as I’m writing this review. If there were a zero star rating available, zero stars would be my rating.

Floor in room was very dirty. Ask for it to be mopped. It was cleaned somewhat, still sticky and had dirt on floors. Carpet seemed to be clean.

Our room was by the door at the end of the hall and because we had our dog - he was very restless and barked at all the noise of people going in and out.

What a total cluster f:@$& we tried to get this resolved but never heard from property!!!! We did hear from Expedia briefly. I will NEVER use either again! Yes, word of mouth travels fast!!!! Charged but wasn’t even in the State of Virginia!!!!

Property is a gem outside SNP. If you are traveling the whole park and hitting the south part, the property has great value! Room was spacious, breakfast was great (has bacons!!) and great staff

We cancelled this trip but Expedia did not confirm cancellation as their site returned "problem" numerous times. Could not get through on phone.
