Superb

The room was clean and the staff was pleasant. The nearest shops were probably not easily walkable, not really a factor for us. One complaint we had was that we had reserved an accessible bathroom based upon a picture on the website. What we ended up with was a tub with one vertical safety bar at the entrance. We also needed at least a horizontal bar across the back of the tub. We stuck with the room only because it was so quiet and otherwise OK.

Great location convenient to the space centre and Baybrook Mall. Beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. Staff weren’t super proactive, helpful or attentive. But they were able to answer any questions we had. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss, only single-use plates and cutlery were provided and we had some off milk.

Reasonable price, clean, and comfy. They did not receive our reservation from Booking! It was a good thing we checked in early! We got their last double room! What happened here???

It was in a nice area surrounded by things to do. It was seemingly understaffed. The front desk clerk was very snappy and inattentive. Almost rude. Our room didn’t get cleaned even though we requested it.

The room was clean, staff was great, breakfast wasn’t bad. Typical breakfast fare of eggs, waffle maker, cereal, yogurt, fruit, and juice. The place was very nice. I’d stay there again.

The room looked very spacious in the photos, but it was just a regular-sized room. The building was clean, so we had a comfortable stay.

As of this survey I have not had the opportunity to take advantage of the breakfast.

Staff are welcoming and very helpful. Room and bathroom were spacious. Convenient location for places to eat and shop. A safe place to stay in Houston.

It was great my only issue was housekeeping started knocking on our door at around nine and did this two more times before we checked out, the do not disturb was on door and we were sleeping so it was slightly annoying, other than that it was a good stay

Check-in was quick considering I had booked this hotel room a few minutes prior to arrival. I had a room booked at another hotel that was in poor condition. The front desk associate at Fairfield Inn was friendly and welcoming.

The pool was awsome. The water temperature was shy of a spa. Crystal clear water.

The night clerk got upset because we asked for 3 extra pillows. We went back n forth. Pedro is his name. I was there for 1.5 hours. He called the police and told us to vacate the property and did not refund my money. He called me a "N" word and he was getting me off his property.

When we got off the elevator to get onto the 4th floor, it just smelled old and musty. When we walked in our room, we noticed that parts of the bathroom floor were sticky, parts were slick, and it smelled of urine. We asked them to address it, and they did. Only 3 towels in the bathroom for 4 people. Both times that we had to ask for extra, when we got them, they had a long black hair on them. Our fitted sheet kept coming off of our bed any time we would move, and it had gritty wash wear. No towels at the pool. No one had replaced them. The worst part by far was breakfast. BOTH MORNINGS. They had a very young man running breakfast, probably no more than 21. One of 2 things was going on: either he was lazy and didn’t care, or no one had trained him very well to recognize priorities when it comes to a breakfast setup for guests. Half and Half was empty both mornings. The burners under the food were not turned on, they had red lights that were on zero, so the food was room temp. Eggs laying in their water. The second morning, an empty pan of eggs. Waffle batter out. This was at like 9:15….45 minutes before breakfast was supposed to end. It was just bad honestly. The hotel was very pretty, and besides than the other things mentioned, it was very clean. Staff was friendly enough. It’s a good location.

The staff was friendly and professional but as soon as you walk in the room it smelled as if the filters have not been changed, the room smelled old and mildew. The water pressure was very low whether cold or hot water and the shower was clogged the water filled to the top and very slow drain.

The manager uponour checking out made sure to come outside to the parking lotand proceed to embarrass my girl and herself by announcing at the top of her lungs that i would have to pay a extra 250 dollars due to the blood on some towels and the sheet. My girl had just had surgery on two bed sores due to her condition, The other staff knew of this and i dont know why she didnt but 250 is outrageous for 3 towels and 1 sheet

Hotel was very nice and the lady at check in was amazing. The room was clean. The only fault I had was that the room temperature did not go under 71 and for a person who likes a cold room, it did not allow me to sleep well. It made the room feel stuffy.

The room was nice. Just a few issues; the shower water was luke warm at best, the mini fridge froze everything in it, the thermostat got stuck on 61 the first night, stayed 3 days and never received house keeping, the pool was not heated. On a positive note, the staff was nice, the room and other parts of hotel were clean. Nice little area with a lot of shops and eating options.

Desk clerk was not welcoming. Several interactions with her and she was rude each time. We had a noon check out and housekeeping began knocking on our door at 9:30 and again at 10:30. Breakfast is over at 9 or before.

The staff was not helpful at all. We booked our room for multiple days and house cleaning did not even come by or offer towels or empty the trash. We also checked in and out early due to a death in our family and when I asked the front desk lady for a receipt (last night about 8:00) she denied it and said that it was because they had not posted the room for the night so they would not be able to send it in until our scheduled visit has been completed on paper.

Just good new hotel

When you walk in the hotel, it has a nice diffuser smell that not soon after will become overbearing. You will realize the diffusers are to mask an awful smell on an upper level. That smell hit us as soon as we stepped off the elevator-a plumbing/sewage type smell that lingered our whole stay. The room was pretty clean, except for the shower curtain. The beds were comfortable. The pool area was nice and well-kept as well. We asked for housekeeping for each day, never received it. Overall the stay was decent but there’s room for improvements.

They stopped providing one of the warm food options at 8:30 during breakfast on a Saturday, saying that they ran out, while there were still many guests who haven't had any. Not sure if it's the employee herself or if it came from the management. For a property like this, there is no reason to go cheap.

Love this property always stay here when I'm on Houston usually every 2 months. Hotel always quiet and staff is wonderful. Area full of different dining options within 5 miles plus shopping the mall is 5 miles away. Oh and my favorite buc cees is like 10 mins away

Great stay. Check in people didn’t recognize or speak first which would have been nice, just a little awkward for me.

Wasn't as great as it could've been. Too many kids running around and parents not disciplining them. So noisy and loud I couldn't enjoy my last day breakfast. Also the kitchen staff and front desk seemed to have a lack of training in how to keep the breakfast area stocked, the coffee pots full, and how to cater in general.

Bathroom doors have lock from inside and ppl can end up locking themselves out from the washroom.. unless there is maintenance available you end up without washroom.

My husband and I went on a last-minute business trip and were delighted. It was a very clean hotel in a quiet area with a nice atmosphere, and we felt very safe and comfortable there. We will return in a few weeks. The room was affordable. FYI, just double up on pillows and double-check the soap dispenser for the shower. Overall, it was a really pleasant stay.

They had great breakfast options and something for those that are gluten free!! I would stay at this hotel the next time that I'm in the area and would recommend it to my friends.

Stayed here previously. This time serious mildew smell in room 204. Great area. Very nice staff. But the smell is overpowering.

Staff were friendly; however I gave this hotel a low rating based off cleanliness. Our room was dirty. The floor under the pull-out couch appeared as though it had not been cleaned after several guest hotel stays. Trash underneath along with previous guest belongings. After pulling out the bed (pull out couch), we saw a few roaches crawl across the back of the couch/wall. The toilet in the bathroom lifted up when sat on it. The next morning we saw more bugs in the room—crickets this time. The hotel maid never came to clean our room during the entire stay and our trash never got taken out—we traveled with a toddler. We had to take the trash out ourselves. We had to ask for extra towels, the pull out couch did not have bedding and we had to ask for it, TV remote didn’t work and the replacement didn’t work either. Indoor pool had ants all around it. The king mattress sunk in on one side and was very uncomfortable. Lastly, the thermostat didn’t work and so the room would get really cold and then really humid when we would adjust. Will not be staying here again.

Housekeeping never showed up to clean the room; although they were in the hallway talking trash about management. AC was too loud and right next to the bed. Breakfast food was horrible, tasted like frozen food.

When I checked in mr. Dominic was amazing he even had me sign up for the rewards , and gave me detail information about check out and my stay, however my disappointment came in the morning, I was getting breakfast , and the cleaning lady opened our door, my boyfriend was getting ready to shower , so that was out of place as check out was noon and it was only 9 AM. A bit after some one kept knocking on our door , it stopped only after I called the front desk to ask about check out time, since I recalled mr.dominic had said noon. Other than that and the pool water being freezing to the point we both had leg cramps was ok. Why say noon , is check out and try to do everything so guest leave early?

The desk clerk on duty was extremely helpful. I had signed up previously for the rewards program but couldn't remember my login information. She didn’t make that an issue for this stay. As usual, I had an excellent stay at Marriott.

AC made a loud noise in the middle of the night and I had to turn it off.

We drove all the way there to find out they had NO power. They didn’t offer a courtesy of a phone call to not come. There were no other hotels anywhere in the area and that was checking 45 min out in all directions.

Lovely property

There were a couple of minor issues with our room that we addressed with the front desk, and we have no doubt they will be resolved. We'll be looking at Fairfield Inn first when we are heading back.

The hotel looks brand new, but opened in 2019. The entire hotel was very nice. The room seemed to stay humid, but perhaps it was the high gulf coast humidity

Waited at the front desk for 20 min with no one at the desk. Actually walked into the back area to ask for assistance and a maintenance worker said she would find the front desk attendant. 10 more minutes later someone comes up front and gets us checked in. Not a great start with someone who has an infant and needs to feed and change her.
