Construction in building, carpet areas was bad with odor

Not sure if they were in the middle of a remodel but I will not be returning here. Roaches in the halls, room smelled like paint, faulty furniture, and pillows must have been 25+ years old. Low key ruined our trip.

Hotel was clean and everyone was very friendly. We only stayed 1 night, didn't have any issues other than there were 2 of us in the room and there was only 2 bath towels, 1 hand towel and 1 wash cloth. I didn't say anything but me personally as a girl like to normally have 2 towels (1 for hair & 1 for body) then was a little disappointed in the breakfast. They had just basics.

Great hotel for families, close to NASA. The breakfast is fully stocked, and the staff is very attentive to your needs. We have stayed here multiple times and will continue to do so.

First off, the desk clerk could not find my Expedia reservation and was not helpful in resolving my problem. We ended up paying for 2 nights AGAIN with the hopes that Expedia would refund my money. This hotel is being renovated. The 1 working elevator was sketchy. Our room (suite) was newly renovated and nice but hot. We called the desk for towels (bathroom was short wash cloths) and we had to go back down to the front desk ourselves to get them. I have stayed at many Hampton hotels and this is the first one to disappoint.

Room was clean, although initially a strong musty amell throughout the room and hallways. Bed was uncomfortable. Hard and lumpy. Breakfast was ok, very simple eggs biscuit sausage,waffles oatmean and cereal. Coffee and juice. Breakfast staff was exceptionally helpful, and friendly. Housekeeping staff were also very friendly and helpful.

I love Hilton properties. I am a part of their rewards program. But just because my job booked me thru a 3rd party they couldn’t add my Hilton honors number ok but I didn’t even get my water and cookies. It may not mean anything to some. But it’s wat we get and it’s nice. I had to literally buy a water when I am literally a member. Make it make sense. Like I was on call so I had to stay but they made me feel unwelcome. Won’t happen again and will not a ay there. Then I asked can I take these stairs to the 3rd floor and they said yes but guess wat they don’t. She knew that. It was just unpleasant and unprofessional

The hotel was going through renovation and our smoke detector went off in the room because of it. Other than that, our stay was pleasant.

Booked a room with two beds and one of them ended up being a pull out couch. Went to front desk and she said all rooms with two beds are actually a pull out couch and a regular bed.

Renovations were loud. AC made various loud noise, even when not actively cooling. And faucet in bathroom was so loose you had to hold the base with one hand and open it with the other.

We wanted to like this hotel. The location near Johnson Space Center is excellent, with tons of restaurants, shopping, and easy access to downtown Houston. But several ongoing issues made it hard to enjoy. The biggest problem was construction. From the moment we checked in, there was loud, disruptive noise directly above our 2nd floor room. We requested a move but were told nothing was available that night. It continued the next day, sounding like a jackhammer overhead, before we were finally moved to the 4th floor. The new shower was nice but wouldn't fully turn off. Housekeeping fell short too. No extra toilet tissue, scarce towels that had to be tracked down daily, no ice bucket, and a pullout sofa barely larger than a twin. The pool was open but heavily shaded by the hotel, leaving it freezing cold with virtually no afternoon sun. It was also very small. The complimentary breakfast was well-stocked and tasty. The hotel is dog-friendly with great walking areas nearby. And the free cookies at the front desk were a big hit with my kids. With better communication around construction and attention to basic room stocking, this could be a solid option. As it stands, the stay was more stressful than relaxing.

Nice hotel, clean and close to our venue. The air conditioner was loud though and 2 days in a row, the “hot water” was warm, not hot enough for my tea. Expensive 2 nights stay.

First visit to Houston and delighted with it all. Family there suggested Holiday Inn Express but agreed Hampton Inn had them beat. Thank you so very much.

Comfy bed and quiet room!

I paid for the upgraded king room and when I got into my room, the floor was wet like they had a leak. They were performing construction all around, so things were dirty, and then my air conditioner did not work. When I went to the front desk and talked to them. I got downgraded into a smaller king size room. When I came in from work, tried to ask about auxiliary parking because of all the construction equipment and things like that. The parking was almost Neal and the front desk person did not listen to what I was asking and just talked over me the entire time.

Staff very nice and accommodating. Room freshly renovated but sadly tile bathroom floor not clean with long dark hairs. Shower very nice but new sliding glass shower door would role half open as it was not installed level. Open cabinet under TV to access refrigerator and it was unstable and almost fell out of the cabinet. Nice to have pool but if you want sun better get out by 1pm as sun goes down over building leaving mostly shade after 3pm.

We were not aware that the hotel was being renovated at the time we made the reservation. Construction workers gouged the side of my car while parked in the lot. The desk agent was no help…gave me the manager’s email address. I sent her an email with photos and have yet to hear back from her. Commode didn’t flush, water was turned off for extended period when we were planning on getting dressed for a function, and the nightstand wasn’t plugged in.

Gym has dumbbells up to 75lbs. Staff was amazing. Pool and spa are clean. Some rooms under construction but they only made noise during specific times and management informed us well in advance. Will stay here again.

The staff is really friendly! The breakfast was great. My kids loved the waffles everyday. The hotel is really close to the space center and depending on the time of day 30ish to the zoo, aquarium, beach near by.

The stay was nice but, the suite I stayed in the paper towel holder was hanging and not secure. Anna at the front desk was absolutely amazing, overall my kids and I had an excellent stay.

Hotel in middle of renovation. Was clean and beds are comfy. Coffee pot in room did not work and shower door would not stay shut so had to hold it closed with my foot while showering.

The first room was humid and smelled like mold. We were moved to another room but the lamp made a loud buzzing sound when turned on and made a black cloud of smoke. There were no maintenance people to fix or replace. You couldnt watch tv because the signal was bad. The shower sound like a jackhammer and vibrated violently. I have never left a review good or bad but i feel like i needed to post this.

Booked a suite and loved the extra room. Breakfast is always good at Hampton Inn and the kitchen staffer, Loretta, was friendly and really took pride in the breakfast area and the food presentation. Front staff and check-in was quick and friendly. Great location and lot's of restaurant choices.

I was very impressed by their free breakfast. There was so much to choose from. You know normally you get some cereal or some muffins that are not fresh. This place had everything from cereal, make your own waffles, eggs and sausage, biscuits and gravy and more.

Room was very comfortable. Late check in and late check out was no problem. The best part was the breakfast. This is not an ordinary continental breakfast. Bacon sausage omelettes scrambled eggs waffles etc. The very nice lady who puts it on is so nice and lovely and takes a personal interest in her guests. I felt welcome and cared for. She spoke to my soon to be wife who was meeting my mom for the first time and gave her kind words of advice and encouragement. A true gem. Thank you.

As soon as we walked in the room smelled like dirty feet and the lamps and table were full of dust. Whenever we or the rooms around us would open the sink/shower you can hear loud knock on the wall while the water was running. Front desk lady with light brown hair and glasses was super rude. I tried to extend for 4 more days and she said she did not have rooms available and the only room she has was the king suite and the total would be $740. I went on expedia and saw different rooms available for $541. I confronted her about it and she said she did not know what I was talking about. Horrible experience.

Suddenly, my disappointment turned into “should I move in permanently?” The suite was spotless, spacious, and so nice I briefly considered starting a new life there. Everything was clean, comfy, and honestly nicer than my own house (I’m still thinking about that bed). The staff were friendly, helpful, and seemed genuinely happy to see me—which is refreshing when you’ve been on the road and just want to collapse into a pillow fort. In short: the room wasn’t ready on time, but the Hampton Inn made it more than worth the wait. 10/10 would gladly have my room “not ready” again if it comes with an upgrade like that.

All were so friendly, especially Christian, the admissions clerk, Rhonda, with the breakfast service, and Amanda as well. It’s because of Christian especially that I will always choose Hampton Inn & Suites whenever I travel.

If you’re looking for a cheap over priced place to stay, this is it! Our room was very musty smelling like it had been shut up since the last rebates who possibly had a dog in the room were in there Im the 1990’s. The bedding smelled like wet dog, there was only two sets of towels even though the room was a king room with pull out bed for 4 people and our reservation said 4 people. The breakfast server was rude, which is crazy considering we are in Texas, and we live in Texas! The only good thing about the hotel was its location. We do not plan on booking this hotel again. Save your money and go with the nicer more expensive properties in the area!

The breakfast was good. The kitchen staff were friendly and kept everything stocked. The location is good with a lot of food options around. We stay at this location often when visiting the area due to the cleanliness, friendly staff, and area around.

Hampton Inns are generally 5 stars but I only gave 4 stars on this one due leaking tub, loud a/c, and loud noises from slamming doors - most of these items could be fixed for little costs.

This property was phenomenal. The staff was amazing and professional from the time we checked in to when we checked out. If I’m ever in the area again, I would come back. The only downside, I was in 319 and there are two soap dishes in the shower. The taller of the two is at an awkward height for someone 5’8”which I racked my elbow into rather hard. But again, other than that minor nugget everything was great! And shoutout to the ladies making the waffles!

Rooms are a little dated but were very clean and comfortable. Cold AC and hot showers...what else can you ask for?! Breakfast had a variety of items which worked well for my picky toddler! Very close to a bunch of restaurants and shopping.

We stayed only 2 days as a stop over before going on with our trip. We really enjoyed our stay there. The rooms were very nice. The restroom had its own shampoo, conditioner, body soap in bottles attached inside the wall of the tub/ shower. We had our own, but it was a nice touch. The lady that ran the breakfast area was amazing. She was very friendly and helpful. Overall, I am very pleased we chose to stay here.

The hotel staff was friendly however, the rooms definitely need some help. The bathroom door wouldn't shut, there was some kind of black stuff all over the ceiling and it needs repainted. I went to the pool and you couldn't see the bottom because the water was so disgusting. I will not stay here again.

The worst stay ever. Our room have the window curtains broken and we could not close at nights or during the day. There was a constant loud electric noise coming from another room. We complsin and they did nothing. Fire alarm sounded for no reason. Not helpful staff

Comfortable beds, quiet, clean & a great breakfast. It’s just a bit dated, and we had to request silverware for the kitchenette because it isn’t provided. There are dishes and cookware but no silverware unless you ask.

Just hope that they open the window often to take fresh air!

If I had to say one thing to improve on, was the room was really muggy and didnt really get cold, but it was comfortable for 3 nights. I would stay here again. Location was great as well.

I really like the convenience of where the hotel is located in regards of what we wanted to visit between Houston and Galveston. I like the set up of a small kitchen and sofa bed. What I didn't like was we had a room that wasn't renovated yet. There was a crack in the shower and the air conditioner wasn't initially working but they fixed it in a timely manner. The manager was nice and resolved any issues we had. My main issue was the worker in the breakfast area assuming I was stealing food. I have 2 kids and it was easier to take food back to the room and eat in the dining table in our room. I did this to give them time to wake up. The worker saw me come from the elevator and asked if I was staying there. She asked for my room key, asked what room I was staying in, and still didn't believe me. She even went up to the front desk I'm guessing to see if I was telling the truth. I told the front desk lady to verify me if she needed. We stayed a week and I felt like I wasn't welcomed to get breakfast. I had to have my husband go down there the rest of the days. Since we have stayed in the area before, I will rethink staying here because of this in the future.

Pool was inoperable the first day, tv reception wqs poor (constantly buffering), made reservations several months in advance and was given a room with no view except the rooftop.

As a customer who invited my entire baseball team to stay here with their families so we can have chemistry playing to find out the pool was had feces in it ruined the experience I was hoping these kids would have. I am a requesting/expecting a discount.

Keep scrolling and pass on this Hampton Inn. The A/C had a moldy smell. Ugh. TV was constantly staticky about every 4 seconds every channel. Haven for buses since it’s near NASA. Hampton Inn can do better. No cups in the bathroom. I guess they figure we travel with cups?

The first room had mold on walls, ceiling and base board of the bathroom. The smell was very strong. Carpet old. More like a broken motel than Hampton Inn. Had a hard time sleeping at night. The next morning asked for a different room. The second room was better, but overall, very moldy and in poor condition. Never will go back.

The property itself is fine. Open spaces are nice. Breakfast area and gym were good. My first room had a defective refrigerator that made loud noises all night. I disconnected it and told front desk. They promptly moved me to another room close by. This room had a musty / gym bag aroma that wouldn’t go away. It was a most unpleasant odor to walk into. I didn’t have the energy to ask to move rooms again.

The check in was okay, but the staff member did not greet us upon arrival. She seemed rather bothered we disturbed her and made her work. Later, I asked if there were towels for the pool and she just said,"ya, by the pool" like she didn't want to be bothered. Other than that, breakfast was great and the staff there. The faciltiy was nice and we may be back again. Jacuzzi does need maintenance as the buttons did not work to make the jets blast.

I love staying at the hapmton inn when im in town but the last few visits, the tv wasnt workimg amd i had to switch rooms which is really an inconvenience, this last trip the mini fridge would make anterrible loud noise ever once in awhile so i didnt sleep well. The bed made alot of creaking noise when i get up or down. Just haven't been impressed lately with this property. IDK...

Great customer service but interior of the hotel definitely needs an upgrade/remodel. I did not experience the clean feeling and comfortability there like I'm used to at other Hampton Inns that I've stayed at. I always choose Hampton inn over other hotels but won't be choosing this one again when visiting the area.

Easy check in, great cleaning crew. Nice old lady on the breakfast nook.

*We had issues with the shower leaking *Ants were present during evenings *T.v. would not work properly *Bathromm fan did not work so we had to leave door open and light kept going out .

Restroom need update

Anyone could literally walk off from the street and access the pool area. I thought that was very sketchy and not very private. The wifi internet was very slow and staff didn’t know how to upgrade internet services to premium which I thought was disappointing. And I was willing to pay for the services.

There is a miscommunication between hotem.com and hampton Inn, so we got wrong reservation and extra charge We called both of them and they suggested us to dispute the extra charge using credit card service Also swimming pool is located at breakfast room door, you have to wear wet clothing passing people eating breakfast..... Weird

Lady at the front desk was awesome

Clean , quiet rooms. Excellent upfront staff Great very enjoyable breakfast. Breakfast staff made me feel like I was home.

It was ok. Not the price i qould have paid for. Wall outlets and lamp didnt work so it didn t allow me to plug my oxygen tank to sleep with. I had ro sleep on lumpy sofa that was moldy and dirty.
