It was a lil noisy but it was ok as far as clean and staff was helpful

I will be getting in touch with Wyndham and every association I’m involved with and black listing this location, Booking.com and Wyndham from future travel plan arrangements.

Roaches in room. Didn't see them until early morning. Poo on bathroom door casing. Bed hard as a brick. Hardly anything to eat for breakfast. Not stocked at all. No milk for cereal, no forks for waffles, no cups for coffee and orange juice was watered down and nasty. Don't waste your money!!

I was very impressed!! The room was not only affordable, but the hotel was very clean, friendly and helpful staff, and just a short walk from the ocean!

I tried to save money , but this place is not good for a family. It might work for a single person , who wants the cheapest , but doesn't care much about cleanliness, breakfast etc. as mentioned above. I don't think I will ever come back here with family - though if I am single, I might consider if I don't get any other options elsewhere

Don’t stay here. First night the headboard fell off the wall and broke my laptop charger. They ended up charging me to fix the headboard and they wouldn’t offer compensation for my laptop charger.

We made the reservation for 2 days in this hotel and When got into the room We found a Lot bed bugs in the bed so We needed to cancel this reservation and now they sent the receipt for about $500 so I need my money back I did not spent and time in this place

I stayed here with two other people for a quick weekend trip. Off of first impression when walking into the room, we noticed fixtures that were damaged and the floor was not very clean. There were also some stains on a chair in the room. During our stay, each day the key card that grants access to the room would no longer work and we had to replace it three times. They also have a very strict towel/linen policy. I also had requested for no one to enter our room for the duration of our stay, but to come back to our room and find that someone had been in there while we were out. For the most part the staff was attentive, meanwhile others were not very helpful or welcoming. Breakfast had very limited selections with most items running out very quickly. One last thing, if you require assistance and/or are handicapped make sure you request a room on the first floor as they do not have elevators to access the second floor. On the other hand, for a quick stay, it definitely gets the job done. The beds are very comfortable and most of the room is clean. Check in and Check out was pretty smooth. Everything is pretty standard and basic if you’re looking for something average.

Everything was pretty chill, but the bedroom floor felt like it had been cleaned with oil. My husband and I also watched the front desk person turn away a trucker due to “availability”. But we knew there were rooms open and I’m sure he did as well. We also had to wait for house keeping to get extra towels, which I thought was kinda odd as well.

The room was very dirty. The couch and office chairs were covered in stains. The table was dirty and have white stuff all over it and the floor was dirty. Thankfully, the beds, sheets, and blankets were clean when we inspected them. Unfortunately, I only took one picture of one of the chairs, but will add this to the review. The shower head was also separating from the wall. I did have the breakfast while there. They had a drink dispenser; however, it was empty both days. They only had waffles, bagels, and bread. I thought it was supposed to be hot breakfast, but I must have misunderstood that. The waffle batter dispenser Spicket fell off multiple times when people were trying to use it. The staff was polite and helpful when asked questions.

This is not a place for a nice rest. There were roaches in the room, air conditioner has a loud sound. There were people hanging outside near window all through the night. Bed were horrible. I made my last visit at this place. Very old ran down motel.

The hotel was not clean at all. I had reserved a total of three rooms for a family function had to trade one room because the room originally smelled like cigarette smoke. The room I stayed in. I had to get new sheets at 12 o’clock at night because when I pulled down the bed, there was hair and sand in it. The bathrooms were disgusting. The floors were filthy and it was supposed to be $150 security hold for all three rooms and they charged me 180 security hold will never be back again.

The flooring is leaving granules on the socks and those granules get in the bed and on the linens. When I first saw them I thought I had bed bugs. The toilet leaked on the floor after every flush and when I took a shower the water pulled on the outside of the tub. The ice machine was broken but that was never relayed by the check-in staff so I walked the entire complex trying to find another one and apparently there is not a secondary ice machine. And lastly, this is not an indictment on the staff but they allowed a tenant in the room above me who partied all night long. He should have had a ground floor because he was jumping and dancing and thumping the entire night. I found out after I checked out that this is not a very good area and a lot of prostitution takes place and there was also a policeman in the parking lot last night. Overall I would not recommend anyone to stay here unless it is a financial hardship and you must. Big mistake on my part trying to save my company some money!

Breakfast was fine but where you go to get it you tend to bump into each other. They should only have tables for two people in that area.

1.There are no elevators. 2. There is no flexibility in there is refund policies. 3. Guests smoke in rooms even when guests are not supposed too. 4. Their hallway trash bin was overflowing with garbage, plus there was a very large garbage bag out of the trash bin very unhygienic.

Breakfast area picture looks inviting however there were few choices (no fresh fruit). Room was OK but couldn't move shower head, tub floor seemed slippery despite safety strips.

The bed in the room was not clean, we were out late came in to go to bed and had to sleep on the top comforter. It was 2am and I had a 4 hour drive in the morning. This was discussing, urine in the bed. Told them when we left and said we will get maintenance on it. That’s all that was said. Not happy, will never return to that Hotel ever again

On the upside the sheets and towels appear to have been laundered, the door locked, and the room the seemed to be waterproof. And if you are into it there are plenty of ladies of negotiable affections at hand.

My remote didn’t work although the front desk attendant replaced the batteries. Staff replaced the remote with no further issues with my room. Second time staying at this hotel and it’s convenient to get in and out of from Market street. Close to food and gas and budget friendly.

I wish I could upload the videos of the heat/ac unit noise! So load I had to shut if off and sweat all night! Floor was sticky and dirty! Shower curtain was ripped and the bed was falling apart. Pillows may as well have been stuffed with rolled up newspapers! Neighboring room has druggies in it up all night making all kinds of noise and slamming the door . Room smelled of stale cigarettes…never staying there again! Went to check out and said I’d never stay there again and the girl said ok that’s it!

This hotel is horrible, it seems like this is the hotel that a lot of people on the street lounge out at, the room was nasty, very disgusting my skin started crawling! the shower head was so rusted and all the outlets. i will not be staying here again and do not recommend. It felt very unsafe to sleep there. The images are not what it seems to be.

I stayed there tonight’s and all I can smell was marijuana. It was very noisy all night. I went to get coffee in the morning and the older lady in the kitchen area wouldn’t give me no cream for my coffee. Awful breakfast selection. They only offered a waffle cereal or toast. I have stayed at a lot of Baymont hotels. That offer an awesome breakfast and doesn’t smell like marijuana doesn’t have people wandering around all night long would not. Recommend this hotel at all.

The bathroom was horrifically dirty with feces stains all over the walls. The bathtub was rusted out at the drain and the whole room smelled of smoke. There was very sketchy activity the entire time we were there. Do not recommend to a family, this is a motel..

No Really! Avoid it. There is homeless and unsafe people hanging around the property without intervention from property staff. I was begged/solicited for money with only having been there for a few minutes. Immediately upon checking into my room, I smelled Fabuloso cleaning product trying to cover up nasty and dirty smells from the room. I immediately went back to the front desk and asked for refund, but since I have booked it through Expedia, it was not possible to get that money back. They never responded to Expedia request for compensation. I was in the room less than three minutes before I went back to the front desk. Management did not respond to anybody’s request from Expedia nor myself.

I am literally in shock that i was sent an opportunity to review this hotel..i booked this room about 2 1/2 hours before i arrived..final price with taxes and discounts was $63...if there are any attorneys out there reading this, under the heading of AT A GLANCE they mention a $100 deposit depends on hotel...AT A GLANCE is a place to post garage sales or social events...Hotels.com announces the necessity for a deposit...nowhere on the webite under anything financial⁰ or whats in the room does it talk about putting a $100 deposit.... AND if you dont have the $100 deposit to put down on your credit card... YOU CANT STAY IN THE ROOM THAT YOU PAID FOR....NOR DOES IT SAY YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR MONEY BACK THAT YOU USED TO PAY FOR THE ROOM WHEN YOU RESERVED AND PAID IT ON LINE. i arrived at the Bates Hotel( aka OYO) around 1130 PM. Mrs Sirdeep walked out from behind a curtain enterance to their apartment..she had a scowl on her face and immediately asks me if i am traveling with animals? Each of the 4 times she asked me, her tone sounded more and more accusing..then the 2nd repedatuve accusing question was how many people im traveling with...each time she asked i had the same response..i was traveling alone..Then she asks me for a separate drposit of $100..what? I didnt have it. My deposit had not deposited yet into my acct..The room i paid for i only had $65 in my acct waiting for my deposit that was to happen during the night..Mrs Sirdeep said i couldnt stay there and no refund!!

Absolutely disgusting. The room was terrible. There were still hairs in the shower, the coffee maker was disgusting, the floors have clearly never been mopped, it’s all vinyl and dirty and sticky. Chair was stained and disgusting. Everything is rundown and you can tell they slapped some new paint and called it a day. Every time someone in an adjacent room shut their door the lights and power in my room would flicker. I had to be in the facility for work otherwise if I had a choice I would’ve immediately left and gone elsewhere.

Nothing was as advertised fir the price

I needed a room for my mom who was visiting for a her doctor’s appointments, and not only did the Uber driver inform her that the hotel is known for drug dealing and sex workers, but the concierge staff demanded a deposit of 100$ she would get back in three days or more. Let me say that I’m horrified that she didn’t feel safe enough to take a shower, but she mentioned massive scratch marks on the bed frame and other patrons literally camped out in front of their doors in lawn chairs. I will never ever book this hotel again.

A midgrade . A step or two up from a motel six, but that’s about . Nothing super . Very average I would say two just three starstar hotel. It was fine, although the room was really small. Nice but Smaller than expected. Comfortable bed. The only real complaint I had is that they were out of everything at the breakfast by 9 AM and they serve until 930. We got there close to nine and they had no more waffle mix and weren’t getting any more. Everything else was pretty much out by 9 o’clock. They need to keep it full until the end of the breakfast at 9:30.

No hot water and while packing to check out the person next door complained they had not had hot water for a shower in two days. They also come to enter the room to clean at 10am which is when the guy next door complained about the hot water. I tried to take a shower after checking in but there was no hot water. The guy at the front desk said I should have called for the maintenance guy who was not there which seemed like a stupid waste of time to call for someone who wasn't at work.I also spoke to several others who said they turn the hot water off at night like slum lords and turn it back on after the maintenance guy comes to work. Complete dump hotel not worth booking.

This place charged me 4 times for one room for two days. $980 vs $200. Checked into a filthy room which had mildew on the lampshades, a hole in the wall. Damp towels, damp pillows. Room was disgusting. No tv remote. Cigarette holes in the comforter and chairs. Rude staff.

don't stay here. the photos they use on here look waaay better than how the rooms actually look in-person. with the amount they charged, we figured the rooms would be fine/similar to the photos. spoiler alert: they don't. they shouldn't be charging anything over $80/night for their rooms. we got there to see that the room just looked and felt gross. the lampshades and furniture were stained or just not cleaned. the bathroom doorknob was broken. the neighbors were noisy. the lighting was bad. it felt cheap but the price i paid was not. i immediately booked a room at a different hotel. i asked the front desk if i could get a refund since i was leaving immediately but obviously they refused. shocker. don't stay here. they owe me over $400 and should honestly be shut down LOL.

My day was really good. I just only had a problem with the TV. I could not get that many channels and my control wasn’t working right I think it needed batteries.

First check in was very slow. I understand that it was late but atanding in the outer lobby for 15 minutes does not make it ok. Secondly the Wilmington Police came thru as i was taking my bag in and people were scattering. Third once in my room i turned on the tv to find it didn't work. And when i attempted to call the desk i found the room phone non- functional as well. And the signs up in the breakfast area admonished GUESTS from taking food to their room is a bit foolish. And lastly I requested the manager contact me on 8/5/2025, which has not happened as of this writing.

We ended up not staying at the Hotel. We did not check in. We felt very uncomfortable. Lots of homeless and possibly some prostitutes around the property.

The bed was uncomfortable. I requested room service daily and on my last day there they finally brought new washcloths, room service did not come daily. I had to ask for new washcloths daily at the desk. The room was dirty and there were cockroaches.

People smoking weed outside the office doors, people smoking on sidewalk/access ways, housed beside someone who appeared to live there. Blood stained sheets. Homeless people across the street, up and down the road, through the parking lot.

The room was very dirty. Tv didn’t work properly. Pillows were dirty and stained with no pillow cases. There were roaches in the room. It was horrible. We left a day early because of the condition of the room.

This motel was an absolute nightmare. The second we walked in, the entire place reeked of smoke, even though we booked a non-smoking room. The room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years—filthy floors, stained furniture, and a bathroom that was downright disgusting. There were people sleeping in their cars in the parking lot and sketchy characters hanging around outside who looked like they were high or dealing drugs. We didn’t feel safe at all. We were scheduled to stay for two nights, but we only lasted a few hours. We checked in around 1 a.m. and by 7 a.m., we packed up and left to find another hotel. That’s how bad it was. We didn’t even want to risk staying there a minute longer. Avoid this place at all costs. It’s not worth saving a few bucks when your health and safety are at risk. This place needs to be shut down.

As soon as I pulled up to the place it look trashy. Parking lot was full of trash, people just walking around dinking dogs barking people hanging over the balconies yelling it was just a mess. Then go into the room it smelled bathroom wasn't clean. I had to go get something to spray the room with it smelt so bad. Tried to cancel but couldn't so that so that's why I stayed cause I didn't have any more money for another hotel. Then I had to drive 45mim.to get to the beach.

The breakfast was from 6am till 9am And it was ok. The coffee was thin as water. And there were people loading up for the day,so I felt as if I were taking food from the needy and we ate elsewhere. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. I will never go back. They really should refund my $$$. And yes, I told them everything I am posting.

The hotel rooms look nothing like the pictures. The rooms are dirty floors The shower heads were green no it's not for kid friendly they locked I was locked out of my room four times and I checked out a day early and they still charge me for the extra day I do not recommend ever staying at this hotel unless you like being at a hotel where the police are called there at least three times a day. The towel in the pics are after drying the floor with it after I mopped it.

The pictures are deceiving. They must have been taken 20 years ago. The police were there for some situation and a lady woke my spouse up yelling at her companion. The bed was quite comfortable and the room was cool.

I came in around 6 the non smoking room that was assigned to my booking was not ready. 237 ended up being available which smells like cigarettes aggravating my sinuses. The AC stopped working, and to their credit, it was easily fixed. There is trash all over the campus and all in all I feel more comfortable sleeping in my car than in this trash heap. So I will be disputing this with my card agency. I am sending this to ask for a refund on the room that I paid for and ultimately was not ready and in the smoking section. If the establishment is unable to issue a refund I will continue the conversation with my bank tomorrow morning. I see that the hosts are trying but the entropic nature of this inn may requires more than the current staff is able to or willing to handle.

They didn't ckean room so well. Kids spilled a drink wr cleaned it up. Than we use s clean towel it was black from dirt. I use sanitize wipes to wipe the fridge. Family stayed only two towels in room. Had problems with the remote. They fixed that. Had get clean tiwels two days. Didn't evrn make beds or empty tradh on room.

We get there and they said we have to pay $100 for accidental which is crazy because when I booked it never said that needs to be better communicated then the rooms omg nasty it’s cracks everywhere door had no inside lock on it my wife pulled back the blanket to inspect the bed and it was a blood stain on it the shower stop thing was stomping up the water it wouldn’t stay it same thing with the sink stains all on the walls like hotels are supposed to renovate after some time and that place was really bad they really should shut down it was my wife’s birthday weekend and we came out of town and the hotel wasn’t comfortable nor enjoyable then I go the first night to ask for sheets nd more towels the attendant gonna say laundry room closed what???? Already was ready to go then so unprofessional a lot of hotels have extra towels sheets at front desk i manage a hotel I knw and then the whole 2 days we was there trash was not changed outside place was just dirty then I go the next day ask for sheets towels again at 9am she gonna say they still not ready at this point just refund me we where not happy at all the place needs new management wish I could submit pictures

This property was unsuitable. Dirty and lots of people hanging around outside. Looked like a homeless shelter.

The floors were sticky, the safety latch on the door was broken off, there was mold on the ceiling, and the bathroom door barely closed. The coffee maker in the room was dirty enough on the outside that we chose not to use it. We got to breakfast at 8:30 (It runs from 6:00 to 9:00.), and almost everything was gone.

This property was so terrible that I sent a note to Wyndham asking that they remove the Wyndham name from the property before further harm to the corporate name is done.

After checking in at 5pm, we returned from dinner to discover a flood in our bathroom. Water was pouring into the bathroom from the fan vent in the ceiling. The entire floor was flooded and the water was beginning to flow into the room. We were moved to another room. This one had no coffee maker. Both rooms were missing a functional smoke detector with just a hole in the wall where they had been located. The rooms were to be non-smoking; as a non-smoker I can assure you they were not. The room reeked of stale smoke. There was a 9 volt battery left on the ledge by the sink, maybe from the removed smoke detector. Breakfast was included but substandard. Not well stocked and served in a tiny room inadequate to handle the number of guests. In short, choose another hotel.

Our room was generally clean and fully equipped, with every utility working perfectly, including the AC, TV, fridge, iron, and a shower with great, hot pressure. While some aesthetic updates like fresh paint, caulking, better lighting, and thicker curtains would make the room nicer, these were minor issues. Although I saw homeless individuals around the surrounding area, I always felt completely safe due to the constant presence of local law enforcement. I was never approached or had an issue. With new management in place, it feels like this hotel is on the path to some promising upgrades that could easily push it to a solid 4 or 5-star experience.

We didn’t even end up staying we left and found another hotel. It was not safe and the cops were in and out several times while we were there.

This property gives the Brand a horrible name. Yes, the expectations were low but even for one night stay due to the flight cancellation, it was just horrible. Moldy, smell of cigarettes, dirty walls, floor, furniture, fixtures... Couldn't wait to get out of there

The property was dirty, door didn't lock from inside, fire alarm handing from ceiling. Drinking and drugs outside.

I'm not going to lie for this motel if that's what you want it is terrible

Decent stay for the price. The breakfast wasn't what I'd advertise as breakfast. More like free snacks.

I hate that the room is not what is advertised aesthetically. The service and workers were quite nice and helpful so that balanced the experience. The tub however left MUCH to be desired; Grime, calcium and mold are EVERYWHERE, and the tub floor was peeling. Please do better and advertise the floor paneling is gross. The renovations are obviously still under construction, and we hope they will be as advertised next visit. I don’t think I would choose this place on the return though.

This hotel needs to be totally refurbished, or better yet torn down and rebuilt. Breakfast area was not clean either.

The floor was dirty but everything else was great.
