Knights Inn Aiken

Picture shows a breakfast bar, which is why we booked this place. That's closed down. The pool was green. The room was clean enough, but the mattress and bedframe were extremely cheap feeling. I get this was a cheaper option for the area, and even so expected much better. Further, it seemed like section 8 housing with lots of noise overnight.

Every year I run a 5k in Aiken. Was looking for something a little cheaper. The room was I checked in had Roaches come out the bottom of the microwave!! I was mad!! The hotel needed to be torn down and remodeled. The pool is nasty. Pretty much everything around that hotel needs work. Not recommended to stay there. Next year I won’t be back to that hotel.

The place was dirty , the bathroom / shower looked liked it had not been cleaned in a long while . Killed 4 cockroaches first day .The towels and stuff looked dirty and had to go to Walmart to buy some. Would never stay there again!!

Outside had plenty of parking but the sidewalks to the rooms were filthy with sticky dried up liquids you had to manuever around. Tweekers were loitering, talking to themselves and tried to talk to me and ask me for things when i walked past them quicky to access the ice machine. The room was big but very old and dirty. After walking on the carpet bare foot and getting into the shower, streams of dirt washed off the bottoms of my feet. I tried to use towels to walk on. Speaking of towels, I used one but when I saw a speck of dirt or leaf on the other, I opened it on the rack to see scattered dirt on it. The microwave had rust throughout and looked unusable. The toilet had a big yellow shim half wedged by the big rusted bolts but still was very wobbly. There were a bunch of little flying insects in the tub/shower area I had to battle with a wet towel before I could use the shower. Brushing my teeth, I noticed thick clumps of dust/dirt in the corner and the reflection of the sink through the mirror showed a dirty 1inch gap between the counter and the sink.

Locked down main office. Had to "check in" from outside. Exterior condition rather poor. Room was decent, but no coffee maker...and no coffee at the main office in the morning! Never have seen that before. Shower curtain pulling off the wall ...barely holding the curtain.

When you take a shower in the morning and only have a hand towel and wash cloth to use to dry your whole body.......and the office/front desk doesn't open until 930,,, figure out how the stay went!!

Four great nights at Knights Inn - super friendly staff, clean room, ample parking, great rate. Not fancy, but had everything I needed in a safe environment.

They had no electricity or water and continued to rent rooms ... I had to fight to get a refund !!!!

My room was not cleaned prior to my stay. The floors were dirty. The floor between the beds had some visible dirtiness from not being mopped. When I went to use the bathroom the front of the toilet had a visible brown smear down the front of it. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt so I got soap and a rag and wiped the area. It came clean and I freaked out. I immediately packed my room and went to report it to front desk. I took pictures and showed the staff. I returned the room key for a two night stay and I was only there two hours approximately. They refused to refund. I said I need the owner. He still hasn’t contacted me. My fiancé just had surgery in June and has one at the end of this month. We don’t need a health risk like a place that doesn’t even do a basic room clean prior to a customers stay.

The property itself was good for the price. Location is okay, but the environment is very scary with the people living in that property. The man owner was looking for confrontation when I asked for the remaining 2 nights, but I guess it was the wife came and settle the situation by issued me a refund the remaining 2 nights. That classified her in the professional leadership role.

I only liked the location. Everything else about the Inn was very disappointing. Not clean at all.

Property was disgusting. Very dirty rooms and looks like nothing was cleaned in the rooms. Definitely nothing like the pictures. Shows a breakfast bar in the pictures but instead lobby is closed and has kid’s toys all over it. Just over all unpleasant.

Absolutely nothing It was supposed to have a breakfast and didn’t. For a family of 4 they gave us one towel and 2 washcloths. The room wasn’t very clean, and a lot of people partying every night in the parking lot. Even had a stranger trying to look in our window.

The hotel is kept nice and clean and feels safe .very helpful and friendly all the staff

The bed was kind of comfy and the water was hot. The linens were dirty. The non-smoking room smelled like smoke. Check in was through a tiny little window and there was no one at the counter. There were people partying outside the room until late. There was something smeared on the wall.

Advertise breakfast but wasn't served. Office Always locked had to use a window. Pool was not as clean as it would have been sat on side of pool and ruined my shorts something white got all over them. Power went out the morning we left.

Close to downtown where the food truck festival was at that I was a vendor I travel with an elderly mother who is walking impaired. Short distance she can use a walker but there was only one handicap parking space and all the other close spaces were filled so I ended up parking on the far end from my room and it was raining and had to use the wheelchair because that was to far for her to walk

Nothing I had view of swimming pool and the water was green with trash in it. Two police cruisers were leaving when I checked in. My sheets were stained along with the washcloths and towels.

The room was definitely not clean and I had to clean it my everything from the floor to the bathroom and I have pictures to verify, absolutely no reason for it to be that way

There were cigarette holes in my blanket and there was no comforter. Holes and dirt on the chair. Holes in all lampshades. Floor and bathroom dirty. Someone else’s soap was left in the bathtub. It was disgusting!

The management team and cleaning staff are available all the time. The rooms are clean and they are big enough for people in wheelchairs. Its my go to place in Aiken, SC

We were in a pinch for a place to stay for a funeral. The sheets were stained, the floor was dirty, the cover on bed was absolutely disgusting and horribly outdated there were prostitutes soliciting and I asked for non smoking and both rooms rented smelled strong cigarette smell. Will not stay there again!

The property is pretty run down, room was not well cleaned, dust & wrappers in corners of the room, mattresses old and can feel springs when you lay down on them, lamp outlets that didn't work.

I’m a bus driver and just needed somewhere to sleep for a few hours so when I knew I was an hour away, I pulled over and booked the hotel online then when I got there, the guy at the front desk really gave me a hard time checking in, saying I couldn’t check in because it was 6am and check in wasn’t until 3pm even though my booking was for the day before and then he said I couldn’t check in because check out was 11am and I said I knew and understand but I had just made the booking an hour earlier then eventually he gave me a room key and originally was gonna ask for a late check out just by an extra hour but after all that trouble, I just took my 4 hours of sleep. I also got up 30 minutes early to dip my feet in the pool and still have time to shower before leaving but the pool was closed until who knows when, I left at 11 and it was still closed so don’t expect to swim before noon atleast. Other than that the room was good, especially for the price. No complaints about the room itself just about the customer service.

This place is a great value. I stay in these low cost motels often and this one far exceeded expectations.

If You’re and exterminator this is the place for you, you’ll be killing roaches all night there’s a Honda Accord that looks like a body went through the windshield and abandoned truck some of the rooms have broken windows this place needs to shut down for a year and start over it needs new everything cause they had a tube screen zenith floor model on dresser but it definitely needs Roach Spray and fumigators lots of it

Great customer service!! Clean property!! Even accommodated me with a downstairs room, close to my car so I wouldn’t have to carry my 2 young children up the stairs. Check in was quick. Check out was quick as well. All the staff was so nice too.

We booked our room for four guests. There were two towels in the room. When we requested more towels, we were told that they did not have access to them until housekeeping arrived at 9AM. When 9 came, we went for more towels and housekeeping had still not arrived. The room was infested with stink bugs. When we called the front desk, we were told that it was breeding season and that they would likely be in the other rooms. There was no cancellation available for our room.

I usually stay here on my visits to Aiken . I’m amazed how much cleaner and quieter it is with the new owners .

My husband and I could not believe what we saw when we got to the room. It looked like someone swept up trash and just left it at the door. Once inside...it was filthy and musty...dirty sheets ....urine stains on toilet seat. Burn marks were all over the place like the carpet and sofa. We went back to the office and explained it all. The man apologized and said he would go look at it. No way could we stay there afterwards. My husband and I went there to have a special evening and still have a hard time getting that image out of our minds.Even the TV was still on like someone had just left there right before we arrived. It was an even worse experience considering we cant even get a refund.

Had to be switched rooms. First room wasn’t even cleaned. Dead bugs. Live bugs. Blunt wrappers & ash everywhere. Second room didn’t even have a fridge microwave or phone.

It was ok. It was a last minute stay. The wash clothes you could tell were used. I came out to my car and a guy that was apparently under the influence came from behind a wall asking if some guy was in the room. So that had me kinda nervous because it was me and my kids in there.

This was the first and last time I will stay at this hotel. When I first arrived it appeared to be a very nice place. I then got to the room where things started to change for the worse. I pulled the bed away from the wall a little so I could plug a charger in and I found that the bed had not been moved from the wall in sometime because there was all kinds dirt and things that had dropped back there that housekeeping either does not check or care about. I specifically chose this facility because of the amenities in the room one being a coffee maker. How do you have a coffee maker and not have coffee, coffee cups or anything else for it for guests to use? The next morning as I was preparing to leave and check out I found some kind of bug crawling around in the bathroom. I will say on a good note that the night I checked in the staff working were very friendly.

Well I didn’t expect much from this place being that it was only 60 bucks after taxes. Unfortunately it was a little sub par for my taste. The room was a little gross, the paint didn’t match and I didn’t even have toilet paper in my room. The employees were fine but the room was not great. You’re getting what you pay for but at the end of the day if the bedding isn’t spotless, that’s the deal breaker. I really didn’t want to get get under the covers to be honest. Other than that just expect to get what you pay for. Next time I’ll spend the extra 20 bucks to have a cleaner room.

The room we stayed in had four lamps. One worked, 2 had no bulbs, and the last one had a blown bulb.

I saw bad reviews but needed a room for one night an price was right so I took a chancethe rooms are a lil outdated but they had a whole side blocked off when I got there where they are remodeling so I stayed the lobby is very clean desk clerk was very friendly an the pool area is nice an clean I believe they are trying to make the rooms nicer an for what I needed which was sleep it worked well I would stay again an give them time to get place back right seems like at one time it may have had wrong owner management but from my stay I think they have turned it around an trying to make it better

This property is possibly the worst property that I have ever stayed in. It was like something out of a horse movie. It was dirty, full of bed bugs, there were drug deals and unsafe activity going on and generally somewhere I would not stay in again or recommend. Do yourself a favour during Masters and do not stay here.

Old and run down property. The staff are friendly. The amenities are lacking. For over $140/ night (during the Master's Golf week) I expected more. No mini-fridge. The microwave was placed on the floor! Not even placed on a table. The towels are thin and scratchy. The continental breakfast is lacking. Mini-Bagels, waffles / juice. I should think that eggs or biscuits and gravy should be available for that price. I was in Aiken on business, so my company paid for it. I would not go back there.

It's an older building and could use some updates but it served the purpose.

It was a disgusting dump. Baseboard molding hanging down. The A/C blew warm on high. Half patched water stain on the ceiling. A wall to wall crack on the ceiling. The room phone didn’t work. I asked for a non smoking room, but got a room that smelled like a chain smoking bar room. The pool was so bad, you couldn’t see 2 feet below the surface. The free breakfast was the standard waffle machine, stale doughnuts and frozen Jimmy Dean sandwiches that had to be microwaved. I was on a 3 day notice to attend The Masters, and this was the only room available within 50 miles. I know why.

Was told I would have a Kingsize bed n we only had a queen!! But paid the Kingsize bed price. We had no extra blankets, only had towels for 1 person in room n it was booked for 3 people. The lock on our door did not work and as a single mother, I didn't sleep well at ALL! !

I had no problem with the hotel itself. The people running it was very rude from the very beginning when I was trying to check on the accommodations I asked for with the booking. Wouldn’t recommend this particular to anyone. Again I have stayed at many Knights Inn but never again in Aiken SC

Spider weds smells, the chair n floor was damp hall way full of maggots.

Hotel was ok. Grounds were clean. Room seemed clean, but walls had plaster and not painted in a few areas. Just had the bare necessities - one towel for each person.

It was okay. The cleaning lady was beyond excellent! However, the day help (registration staff) cleared off breakfast trays by placing them on the counter in the lobby restroom. ??? Also, lobby restroom counter needed cleaning badly, and only one light bulb out of six in the lobby restroom was working. One roach in our hotel room bathroom.

My stay was very well. Plenty of restaurants with in a two mile radius to eat at. There were no committees in the refrigerator. Breakfast offered was very meager an I wouldn't even wast my time on it.

Not so good you can smell cigarettes smoke in the room. The bathroom ceiling was dripping water, appliances need to be up dated, the bathroom door would hit the toilet while trying to close the door,room had no iron board in one room and no iron in the other room.

I stayed at the Knights Inn at Aiken, Sc before staying one night in Columbia, SC. The knights inn located in Aiken was definitely way better. Even though I stayed only one night at the one in Columbia, I do not believe I would stay there again.

This is a CHEAP HOTEL that ALOT of POOR PEOPLE live there because it's cheap! HORRIBLE PLACE but for money what do you expect

We had to get evacuated from our room at 1AM due to meth pimps next door. The poor night manager was a trooper in getting us a new room fast but it was still not an ideal experience to have at a hotel. The bullet hole in the glass of one of the rooms was also not reassuring.

Tried to get away from Hurricane Matthew but after seeing hotel we turned around went home which anything was better than this place! Booked 3 rooms, 1st room had cockroaches everywhere! 2nd room was just filthy. The 3rd room had dirty towels, cigarette butts and chicken bones on the floor. Pulled back bedspread and bed was soaked with urine right into the bed! We left immediately! Thank you hotels.com for getting our money back. DON'T EVER GO HERE!

Very dated. No security lock, peeling wallpaper, no sprinkler system, very old tv-horrible reception, chintzy with the thin towels--there for 5 nights and never the same number, --was quiet except for barking dogs breakfast ok and owners and staff very accommodating

Plus the owners especially the female was plain out rude. We where there due to hurricane Matthew & instead of helping ppl they were raising there room rates! Very disappointed
