The hotel is clean and comfortable. The location was perfect and a traffic light at the exit made it easy to get in and out. Sadly, the pool was not open while I was there.

There had been a power outage before I checked in… and was unaware that hot water was not available and the discovery was made that it would not be available during the length of my stay. I would say it put a metaphorical damper on things. Had there been hot water, my stay would have been much cleaner- as hot water encourages a good shower.

They charged me for an extra night because we had to cancel when the dog got sick and we were not able to leave on time, someone else had just booked a reservation within the last 45 minutes and they wouldn’t let them out of it either. Hotel was very, very average, water stains in the ceiling, peeling wallpaper in my room. It was a good location for sightseeing.

On our last night, the hotel lost power, and it had still not been restored by the following morning. The room became very warm overnight, and it was difficult getting ready in the morning without lights or warm water.

Power went out at 10pm, kept thinking it’d come back on, it did not. Miserable night of sleep, no shower in morning, still fighting for a refund.

This location was very convenient for our weekend trip. The staff was very friendly and informative upon arrival. Check in was quick and easy. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast staff was also friendly and on top of replenishing the breakfast as needed. Also quick to wipe down any tables that were used. I would definitely stay here again.

Had issues with the room, door lock not working, AC fan so loud for the first day but was fixed the next day. Otherwise it was not bad. Kevin and other lady with him was helpful!

We were there during the blizzard, the staff 100% took care of us, make sure we were all set, helped us dig our cars out, make sure we were fed while we were snowed in. They were awesome!

Good and friendly staff, decent breakfast options where I went down everyday for my stay. Like the coffee and hot water station is available 24 hrs. Smell of cleaning chemicals at first when entering the lobby for first day. Also sink spout was very short and a bit of inconvenience but nothing that made the stay unreasonable.

I was pleasantly surprise at the breakfast. It was hot, fresh and there was several options. The kitchen staff made sure everything was always stocked.

My niece lives nearby there. I love staying at this hotel wherever I visit her. Once, the toilet was leaking. Maintenance fixed it super quick! The breakfast is delicious. The nightly cookies are a plus. The staff is very nice.

Parking tends to get full late night...breakfast is free so can't complain wish they have bacon...staff is great...needs refreshing hallway smells old...carpets probably need deodorizing.

The property itself is a bit older, but they make up for it with cleanliness and good service. Everything in the room was clean and perfectly usable, and the staff maintained the place well. The complimentary breakfast was decent and a nice start before heading out for the day. The one major downside I noticed was the Wi-Fi. The hotel only had an unsecured Wi-Fi network, which was quite disappointing in this day and age. Reliable and secure internet is a basic expectation now, so hopefully the hotel upgrades its Wi-Fi infrastructure soon. That said, for the price, cleanliness, and proximity to DC, it’s still a solid option and worth considering for a practical stay.

Breakfast was great and exceeded my expectations. The room is good and comfortable. The location is also great, with many options of restaurants/fast-food around.

Staff was friendly, hotel clean and convenient location. The rooms seem a bit dated, the beds not as comfortable as other Hampton Inns, but adequate. The bathroom was clean and well stocked, plenty of hot water, the shower was short, could be an issue for tall people. Overall the stay was fine, would stay again if needed.

We as business travelers when we pick hotel not only for convenience but for comfort i been coming to Hampton Inn for years now.This first time i been disappointed. I love the remodel with big screen T.V it was clean inside but only one problem the bed felt like i was sleeping on the floor.I paid 200 dollars for your accommodation an couldnt sleep.I drove fours was tired didn't get my proper rest i left 5 in morning to make back get in on bed you are not motel 6.

Property was clean,, very welcoming, handicap accessible,, close to restaurants, shops, supermarkets etc. Everything within walking distance as well as on a city bus route. Breakfast every morning and staff very friendly.

We got there earlier than the check in, the staff were very nice and took care of us quick. The hotel was Super clean. The pictures and some reviews don’t do justice. The breakfast area was super clean and everything was fresh not alot of options and the flavor of the eggs nah. That was the only downfall but there’s a lot of food options in the area definely next time we’re in DC we staying here again 👍👍.

Needs a renovation

The breakfast is the standard fare found at these establishments - waffle bar, potatoes, sausage, cereal, oatmeal, toast, yogurt etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is great. There are only a few GF options and a whole lot of single-use plastics. The carpets in the hallways are a bit tired and need to be replaced. The room is serviced is every other day, the amenities weren't consistently maintained (had to ask for coffee, the ice bucket wasn't cleaned out and new liners were not left). I would have liked to have used the fitness center but they didn't have any lighter free weights on the rack; I'm guessing they get stolen -- a simple fix would be to check out the weights from the front desk.

We are in town, death of a family member. His assistance & demeanor have made a huge impression. Very pleased our room, the soaking tub, the morning breakfast too.

The staff was very helpful, courteous, friendly and accommodating. The bed was very comfortable and clean. It was about 15 minutes from everywhere we needed to be/go while we were there. It is walking distance from PotBelly's deli sandwiches, which I highly recommend.

Room had a scent from the bathroom upon check in, walls and ceiling water damaged. Floor sticky in some places.

I know it's an old property we stayed here 20 years ago but no reason for really badly stained carpets and no vacuuming of the floors, just felt gross. Should go with cleaning.. A vacuum would have been nice. Front desk staff very pleasant and accommodating.

Hallways seem to always have trash bags fill all over the floor, elevator was dirty same trash and liquid on floor entire stay only one elevator working, windows so dirty could not see out of window, stayed one night couldnt do it anymore i left one night earlier even though i paid for two would be nice to get a refund on stay but by looks of things they need the money, Oh while side sitting on bench seen a big rat size of a small dog right outside of hotel, never again nasty is how i describe this place

There was no pool and the walls were pretty thin so we could here people talking outside our door.

Despite setting the temperature as low as 65 degrees, the room remained uncomfortably hot. The hotel itself felt very old and worn down.

This hotel was a great alternative to the downtown DC hotels. Much more affordable and has everything you need. Clean rooms, good shower pressure, typical free breakfast, and most importantly ... free and easy parking. This hotel does have an outdoor pool but it was closed during our stay. We were informed about this as soon as we booked the hotel (I belive the pool is seasonal). Supposedly there is a subway nearby that takes you to DC, but we used Uber. Uber wasn't htat bad with pricing between $15-25 depending on timing.

Overall, a good quiet economical and easy stay.

The staff was very friendly and very helpful which was wonderful. The reason for the 4 star was that I had to change room as the A/C was not cooling the room. the room given also had a problem but was working better. When we got in after a late dinner the room was comfortable while being awake but not cold enough for sleeping I called down stairs and asked if a fan could be brought up as I did not want to change room again that late at night. They were able to get a standing fan and brought it up. The fan help a great deal and I was able to sleep comfortable for the 2 nights I was there. Our friends also had a slight problem in their room with the toilet not shutting off, but it was eventually fixed.

Service was excellent. Housekeeping was excellent; the room was fresh and clean when I checked in. Breakfast was excellent. The front desk provided my every need (extra toilet paper, facial tissues.) Thank you for the excellence. I have come to expect excellence at all Hampton Inns and they all have been great. On this trip, I learned I now must travel with a portable air cleaner to conteract the neighboring tenants who vape and smoke marijuana in nonsmoking rooms. I was not able to sleep at night because someone smoked off and on all night long. The bathroom was especially hard to breathe in I know Hampton cannot control what tenants do in their rooms, but I need the management to be advised. I could only breathe because of the excellent air conditioner. When it turned on, there was fresh air and I could breathe. When it turned off, it was hard to breathe again. I ended up lowering the thermostat so that it would come on more often and I could breathe while the other tenants vaped and smoked.

Found multiple (5-10) hairs in the bathroom after check in. A funny and unpleasant smell came from somewhere maybe from A/C or bathroom. The both male ans female common bathroom at lobby were uncleaned and unhygienic conditions.

I wish i would ha e been informed about this so i could have found q different hotel with q working pool. I would advise others to call and confirm before their stay.

Our hotel room was clean and the included breakfast had plenty of options. One issue was that the pool was not open and that is one of the main reasons we booked this hotel. Our kids were highly disappointed and we would have picked a different hotel had we known that.

I payed for a hotel with a pool, but it wasn’t open until next month. On the website it said there was a pool. The bathroom had giant cockroaches too. I wish I could have my money back.

The pool was closed. Its mid June and 80+ degrees and the pool was closed. I would never have booked a hotel that doesnt have a usable pool.

The room was extremely clean but contained a heavy stale/smoke/chemical smell. The the free bottles of water at check-in were appreciated. The pool was not open for use. Price paid was too expensive for this decoratively outdated hotel. Will not return here in the future.

Room condition is not so bad and people are very nice. However, because it's a old hotel, so I have to listen other room's sound, especially, water heating sound from the next room.

They provide free parking which is a plus. I went on a trip to DC with my gf and we were 15 min away from the city, area is very quiet and has a lot to offer.

I have stayed here numerous times. In the past I always noted the friendliness of staff and the cleanliness. It seemed a little off this time, maybe new management.

Great mattress. Hotel is in need of a renovation. Comfortable mattress which is why I try to choose the Hilton brand when I travel, but this hotel has seen it’s better days and the owners have neglected to reinvest in the room areas based on appearance. Carpet and wallpaper in the hallways loooks dated, halls old enough to still have ashtrays by the elevators. My room had very worn furniture based on the fading from use, and window seal has been broken for so long the entire upper sash was translucent. Rooms were however very clean, and service for a quick check in to get to bed after several hours on the road was great.

We stayed at this property due to its proximity to Georgetown University. The commute was 15 minutes. The property itself is a little older and could use some updating, but we were satisfied with our short stay.

I chose Hampton Inn for the included breakfast and economical price. We chose this location, a little away from DC proper, with the idea that it would be cheaper to Uber in and out of town than to stay near the Mall and museums. I think that that was a good plan.

The facility is nice and clean. The only problem was the person who doubled as the cook and front desk clerk. She was very rude on more than one occasion in two days. Her attitude ruined my stay because she was not only rude to me but to someone who picked me up after my stay. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!
