Reviews
Guests generally have a positive experience at this hotel, appreciating the cleanliness, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. However, some common complaints include issues with parking, breakfast, and certain amenities not meeting expectations.
- Cleanliness of the hotel and rooms
- Comfortable and spacious rooms
- Parking issues, including tight spaces and additional fees
- Breakfast not meeting expectations, with long lines and limited options
- 4/5
The hotel itself is very nice and well kept. We had quite a long wait at the front desk, but our room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Our biggest complaint is that our toilet room (separate from the shower) continuously gave off a sulfur smell into our room. It was very strong after we came back from dinner and being out for the evening.

Clean room

Low water pressure in shower.

Location
- 3/5
no towels in room charges on my credit card
- 3/5
I feel this particular property has declined a bit. We stayed 3 nights. Room was never cleaned. We put towels in hallway as directed - they were not replaced. Had no towels at all, try calling front desk they don’t answer. Had to go there at 10pm after a long day to ask for some. The lighting in the room and bathrooms are entirely too dim. Breakfast is not how I remembered it in the past, but there are just sooo many people with all the school trips I guess they do their best. I just feel that housekeeping could have gone into my room to at least give us new towels since they clearly picked up the ones we left outside the door, yet they didn’t and never came in once to even empty waste baskets.
- 5/5
Clean property with friendly staff and parking
- 5/5
Two day stay. It was very clean and very friendly staff. The breakfast in the morning was a plus.
- 4/5
Definitely pleased with my stay, especially for the price compared to everything else I saw when booking. Room and bathroom were clean, I didn't get the ick from anything. Breakfast was typical, nothing to shake a stick at but not bad. Parking was $15/day which also wasn't bad compared to other hotels around. Would stay again.
- 3/5
I liked the space in the room. I did not like the fact that the room was not cleaned after the first night. One thing I enjoy about staying in a hotel is that the bed gets made, and the bathroom is cleaned every day. We had to ask for clean towels.
- 5/5
Everything was great. Just keep in mind that you’ll have to pay for parking.
- 4/5
The staff at check in couldn't have been nicer. She was so accommodating, and made an excellent impression. The room itself, King Corner Suite, was spotless clean, spacious, and very well appointed. The bed/pillows were very comfortable, and the shower was excellent. The person who checked me out, was also very friendly and personable. Kudos to the front of house staff. The hotel is in a strange location. It feels like the middle of a concrete jungle of office buildings, one on top of the other. Just felt strange and unappealing. Don't like having to pay $15 a night for parking, and even though the breakfast area was spacious and clean, the breakfast itself was limited and very basic. But the staff working breakfast was very friendly. In the end, I loved the hotel facilities and staff, but not the location.
- 3.5/5
Location is good Room cleaning happens every other day Breakfast is average
- 4/5
Break2was bare minimum. Rooms are cleaned every alternate day. Rooms are very spacious n well furnished
- 4/5
I didn't like having to pay $15 per night for parking.
- 5/5
This hotel was very clean and the staff was helpful.
- 5/5
Great clean, quiet stay. Great location all you need for a good stay
- 5/5
You will not be disappointed with the service nor the property. Although it is pricey.
- 5/5
This is the second time that we stayed at this hotel when visiting our son and daughter-in-law and we definitely will return. The staff is courteous, helpful and always has a smiling hello. The rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. The gym is decent for a quick work out. The common area is lovely with plenty of seating for breakfast. The breakfast has a decent array of choices for being included with the stay. The breakfasted staff are friendly and always keeping the breakfast items well stocked. The location is perfect and not too far from Olde Town. Highly recommend.
- 4.5/5
Room was generously sized; we especially appreciated the separate toilet room with its own sink. Neighborhood seemed very safe, but there wasn't much around to eat or drink. Location was just down the street from a Metro station, probably a 20m walk. Except for a terrific little Italian restaurant in the same parking lot. Everything spotlessly clean. Staff was friendly and professional. The single TV was a bit small, since it was located in between the bedroom and living room areas it wasn't particularly close or well angled for either. But perfectly adequate.
- 4/5
You pay for parking...keep this in mind, $15 per day.
- 5/5
Great experience. I will book again for sure
- 5/5
Hotel was very clean, we had a comfortable stay
- 5/5
Loved this propeety
- 4/5
Great place to stay off the beaten path. Clean, well-staffed.

- 5/5
Loved my stay. Staff did an amazing job with hospitality & comfort. Would absolutely recommend There was nothing I did not like. Even having a microwave in the room was something you don’t experience in other hotels. Very much appreciated
- 5/5
Clean family friendly Breakfast could’ve been better
- 3/5
Decent location and free breakfast Very limited parking, especially if you come back later at night
- 5/5
The breakfast and parking were incredible.During our stay at spring hill suites by marriott.
- 4/5
Breakfast was very good and room was clean
- 5/5
This hotel was fantastic. The front desk staff was very friendly. The room was VERY clean. The hotel has been remodeled(Very Very Good). I would definitely stay again!
- 5/5
Excellent!
- 5/5
The room was very clean. The staff was very professional and helpful.
- 4/5
The new doors inside the room are so loud. I do like the separate toilet and shower
- 3/5
The breakfast was decent. The establishment was clean. But paying $15 per vehicle for parking in an open lot is insane
- 4.5/5
Very clean. Good breakfast. A little noisy from the highway. Hard to regulate heat/air conditioning.
- 4/5
Clean room
- 5/5
The breakfast was fresh and the amenities was great the location takes the place of the missing pool. I love that they have a walking and bike trail right outside the hotel with a awesome scenic view.
- 4.5/5
Too complicated to get WiFi
- 5/5
The breakfast was good but minimal change from day to day. I stayed for a week so I was not happy having the same breakfast every day. The room was clean, capacious, and convenient. The cleanliness was really noticeable. The reception personnel were really helpful, available, and friendly in a professional way. I tried to cancel the last day of my stay and I was given no options. I tried to have a partial refund or credit but the answer was no. I didn't like paying 15 dollars a day for parking
- 5/5
Great location to Metro station and Wegmans. Clean. Great hot breakfast. Nice gym.
- 5/5
No pool
- 3/5
Breakfast was really bad. It’s not the cook it’s just the quality of the eggs, coffee , the brand and the sausage they were not good quality.
- 5/5
Nice property.
- 3/5
Breakfast menu was not what you would expect from Springhill suites. very little variety, and breakfast hours are very awkward.
- 5/5
Everything was amazing!
- 2.5/5
The room had a smell cause of the carpet, the microwave in my room when out at 1am nothing was done couldn’t heat my food had to eat it cold you would think paying the rate I did and being a Bonvoy Marriott member things would have been better
- 5/5
$15 parking a night, but it’s actually not bad for parking and hotels in and around DC.
- 4/5
Room was clean, the only downside was the lack of a pool.
- 3/5
Breakfast was fresh but limited selection.
- 4/5
Great clean hotel. Convenient to the metro station for easy access to D.C. I really enjoyed the oatmeal bar at breakfast, nice change from the usual hotel waffles.
- 5/5
The staff at the front desk was very welcoming and always willing to help.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay! The staff was amazing, the room was spotless, and we were extremely comfortable. Can't wait to visit again!
- 5/5
Great place
- 5/5
Room was spacious, clean and quiet. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was very typical for a hotel, nothing special but the food was hot and replenished often.
- 4/5
Difficult to get a TAxi.
- 4/5
Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Nice gym. Took off one star because the WiFi was spotty my entire stay and the microwave was dirty.
- 0.5/5
The property does not answer the requests at booking.com chat.
- 4/5
I didn’t use the gym, the room was very clean and well stocked. The room was either cold or too warm. The thermostat was not controlling the temperature. I had a handicap room and the bed was too low and hard. I was also charged for ‘garage parking’ which I parked outside as always. This is the first time me. I’ve been charged.
- 5/5
Staff was amazing and friendly to my family
- 0.5/5
It is very disturbing at night. Some noises. They put us in a room with a shared door, and someone was knocking on it in the middle of the night. We did not sleep well. Also, the hotel does not answer through the Booking.com chat. I have an upcoming reservation (they are close the location that I need to be), and I am trying to modify the dates, but the hotel does not answer. I called them, and they said they have rooms that day but cannot do it through booking.com.
- 5/5
everything was great
- 2/5
Bathroom smells like urine.
- 5/5
Great room!
- 5/5
This place was nice and rooms were pretty clean.

- 5/5
Very clean and Pleasant people
- 5/5
The room was updated and spotless and staff were all friendly and helpful. We found the complimentary breakfast had good choices and was kept well stocked. We used the gym and found it to be sufficient. We will come back here to stay whenever we visit our family in Virginia.
- 5/5
Clean hotel with very friendly staff. I was traveling with my family and requested a crib—when we checked in, it was already set up in the room. Amazing service!
- 5/5
Great value for the price.
- 2/5
I had reached out multiple times, starting on 1/29 about needing the rooms to be adjoining due to traveling with someone on the autism spectrum. I called once again before arriving and was told “okay we can take care of that for you”. When we arrived, we were told there were no adjoining rooms available because the second one was not going to be clean. After going through the system they finally said that one room is clean and I would be called when the second room is clean. I went to the car and got the rest of our stuff and when we all came back up, we were told that the other room will not be cleaned today and they needed to find a different option for us. We were offered two rooms next to each other and the manager brought us up to the rooms. One room was currently being cleaned and the other room was not on that maid’s schedule. We had brought everything up at that point and the manager was going to bring us back down to find another set of rooms. I was incredibly frustrated at this point and in thinking for the overall safety of the person in our group I told them to cancel my second reservation and we would wait for the one room to be finished. Because I had pre-paid through a third party, they couldn’t issue a refund. The best they could do was cancel the reservation and hope Expedia took care of the rest. About two hours after finally putting everything in our room, we went to get food and saw a maid cleaning the room that “wasn’t scheduled to be cleaned” that day.
- 5/5
Convenient.
- 5/5
Great room!
- 4/5
Clean room, nice staff.
- 5/5
The property was modern, clean and well appointed
- 5/5
I loved it. Very clean, quiet. Definitely booking again
- 5/5
Front desk worker was very nice! Great customer service! The rooms are alway clean and smell good. TV has Netflix and all of the channels you could want. Breakfast is also good too. Always a nice stay at the SpringHill Suites.
- 5/5
Clean room and good service
- 4/5
Front desk check in
- 3/5
So this place is great if you don't bring your dog. It was an extra $120 a night, plus an extra $15 for parking. Beds extremely comfy, shower wonderful, it would make more sense to take a deposit for your pet, and get it back if room left perfect. Oh well, read the fine print people
- 5/5
Nice clean room and lobby. But we did have to pay for parking even though it says free on the site.
- 5/5
Everyone was good
- 3/5
The staff were customer focused and attentive. The breakfast bar was well stocked and maintained with a variety of choices. The gym was very good and had everything necessary. The only downside is the location; sandwiched between I 395 and the Metro railroad tracks! The night stand by the bed has a set of earplugs waiting for you so the location KNOWS how loud the traffic noise is.
- 0.5/5
I didn't stay at the hotel but they charged me 150 dollars and refuse to return the money as booking.com double booked me for different hotel same area. I called to get it rectified and neither booking.com nor the manager at this hotel could help. I won't be using the service again as they way I was treated was terrible
- 3/5
The location was great for what we had planned for our trip. Paying $15 per day for parking in spaces that were too small and a parking lot that didn’t seem to have enough spaces for how many folks were there was a bit excessive.
- 4/5
Breakfast fair. Didn’t like the meat in the potato’s. Meat should be separate. Cups could be a little bigger. Please do not put green unripe bananas out. I wanted to leave a tip online but did not option to use other payments like a debit card or Apple Cash. So I left Lividias tip at front desk. Rates needs to be lower.
- 4/5
Everything. Loved the location, the staff, the breakfast. The rooms were great and so clean. Easy access to where we needed to go. Parking was easy. The entry was gorgeous.
- 5/5
Room was clean and staff was courteous.
- 4/5
The room was spacious and accommodating to families.
- 4/5
Not a fan of the location of the bathroom. Sliding door is very noisy and bright at nighttime. Light and noise also come through gap of door to hallway.
- 5/5
Awesome stay, clean room and great customer service
- 5/5
Wonderful
- 4/5
Thermostat in room didn’t work
- 4/5
Clean room, comfortable bed
- 5/5
The room was very accommodating. The staff was very professional

The room was clean. House keeping was excellent. And the front desk was very nice
- 5/5
Room was very comfortable and room was very clean.
- 5/5
Staff care all of my family
- 5/5
The hotel was quiet with spacious rooms.
- 5/5
Bed was comfy, could have use hotter water with more pressure.
- 5/5
They need Bacon on the buffet.
- 1/5

- 3/5
The breakfast could be better, they also charge $15 per day for car parking
- 5/5
Clean and well kept

- 5/5
The room was very nice and clean. We stayed only one night so it was a quick trip. $15 per night parking just be aware. The only con I have is the walls are very thin, we could hear our neighbors talking, laughing and screaming all night.
- 5/5
Outstanding

Room was spotless, front desk staff was very helpful, hallway was quiet, breakfast was great!
- 4/5
Room was clean, staff was courteous, but it took a while to check in and to check out. Also, the train is very close and xan be noisy at times.
- 5/5
Hospitable Service, Excellent Clean Rooms, Complimentary Breakfast and Easy Parking. Definitely will stay there when visiting Alexandria VA in the future! Thank you 💖
- 5/5
Staff was friendly, hotel clean
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Hot and fresh
- 4/5
We were charged for parking even though at check-in we said we did not have a car and would not be parking. Charged anyway
- 5/5
Very attentive staff, comfortable accommodations, a nice stay.
- 4/5
Good
- 5/5
It was very clean and we liked the separation of the shower and toilet in separate rooms. The staff was helpful and friendly.
- 4/5
Disappointed with how much the room was and STILL had to pay for parking
- 4/5
yes and yes
- 5/5
Breakdast, though traditional, was served in a bright and very airy place with lots of froendly and helpful staff.
- 5/5
Kedamiel at the front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful!
- 1/5
Room was normal room, not impressed.
- 5/5
Amazing Breakfast and Clean Room. Cordial staff.
- 5/5
It was quiet and staff was great!!
- 5/5
Very clean and the beds were very nice!
- 5/5
Overall great stay
- 5/5
Clean room continental breakfast was good
- 2/5
Poor breakfast (barely any options, pointless “free” breakfast) Bed bugs (my husband and I have bites)
- 5/5
Hair dryer in room is awful - I know people might steal them but it made my hair a mess. Also I like to read in bed and the lamp by the bed was like only 25 watts.
- 5/5
Spotless room
- 5/5
This property was beautiful, clean and we really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was a plus. Shantrell at the front desk was the kindest soul and greeted you every time you came in. She really made our stay wonderful.
- 5/5
Friendly, helpful front desk staff. Great breakfast. Comfortable room layout. Able to handle 2 large groups one morning.
- 4/5
The fridge could also use a freezer portion. Otherwise, the 2 queens were comfortable. Beware of the $15 a night parking, but I guess it’s the norm in the DC area
- 5/5
The front desk clerk was lovely. The trees and walking path around the hotel were great.
- 5/5
Catherine at the front desk was terrific!
- 5/5
Love this property, great location and staff.
- 5/5
Gym was nice with a water station, and the front desk staff member I spoke with was kind and helpful. Clean room and bathroom.
- 5/5
Great location, close to old town.
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
This was the first time that we stayed in a handicapped room. The bed was a little too low but the room was very clean. The maid service was excellent. The TV was stabilized and could not see from the far side of the bed and we couldn’t control the volume. We enjoyed our stay.
- 4/5
Beds were a little too firm (personal preference) and coffee was terrible, but everything else was nice.
- 5/5
great location right outside of old town - easy to uber to !
- 3/5
The hotel was a bit old, the bed was extremely hard, the lighting was poor. The breakfast was disappointing as someone who does not eat pork & has food allegies the selection was very limited & sparse. I was required to join the reward program for a late checkout where other hotels just charge a fee for extended time. We will not return to this particular hotel
- 4/5
Everything was great but we had to pay 15 dollars for parking. Parking should be free
- 5/5
Everyone was do nice! Beautiful rooms!
- 4/5
The hotel was very nice
- 5/5
The breakfast was incredible and the woman in charge was so sweet! She definitely helped brighten our mornings. The front desk staff were also incredibly kind and helpful. Though the area is technically walkable, and there are a lot of stores nearby, if you have any difficulties walking like I do you will get tired out very quickly by the hills in the area. But the public transportation is incredibly easy to use and does have a stop right outside the hotel.
- 5/5
The only food in walking distance is a, thankfully good, Italian restaurant.
- 4/5
Very clean property in a quiet area
- 4/5
Nice hotel
- 5/5
It was a great experience. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was clean and quiet. There were not many food options but there was enough to supply.
- 5/5
Parking is great, a lot of food option in the area and no far from downtown D.C and MGM casino
- 4/5
The room was big and confortable. I highlight the cleaning everyday. Breakfast is included, but is very basic, they could include some other options.
- 5/5
No issues
- 5/5
Favorite spot! Always clean, quiet, and friendly!
- 5/5
Staff friendly
- 5/5
This was one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. Our room was so nice, I love that the toilet and shower were in seperate rooms. The front desk staff were always so warm and welcoming to greet us, and answer any questions we had. It’s in a great part of town. We felt very safe, and it was a short walk to the free bus shuttle, and a great Italian restaurant named Aldo’s. It’s also a short walk to the metro train station that made getting around DC super easy!
- 5/5
I had a blast here and would totally come back if I ever need to visit the area again!
- 5/5
The hotel is situated in a tranquil and secure neighborhood, conveniently located near the MGM and other attractions. The staff exhibited exceptional friendliness and attentiveness. There was a sense of safety which is very important to a solo traveler. I highly recommend this hotel.
- 4/5
Quiet clean
- 4/5
Good but parking had hassle
- 4/5
Great service
- 5/5
I came in very late and I was welcome with easy check in
- 5/5
This hotel was great. It was perfect for our family of five. Very clean and well-kept rooms. Great staff who were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great too- good variety of food and well stocked. Very close to a Metro station though it would be a little bit of a walk, but there is cheaper day parking (around $8) at the station.
- 5/5
Very conveniently located toacces the metro to ride into Washington DC. Very clean
- 5/5
Great service and friendly
- 5/5
It was a great place.Breakfast was good and staff was nice!
- 5/5
Safe area, 1O-20 minute's drive from most attractions. Short distance to the metro. Breakfast is not horrible. Staff were pleasant. Room had plenty of room for 5 people. Visit Old Town Alexandria (our favorite).
- 5/5
Great stay. Very comfortable beds. Staff was amazing. Wish there was a safe in the room.
- 5/5
Bartender ran food for us. Very cool.
- 3/5
The personnel at the hotel were excellent, the breakfast was good, it was clean and comfortable but in the midst of a heatwave, the fans in the restroom were not operational and most importantly the air conditioner was rigged to barely function, it was 98° outside and 86° inside the room, very uncomfortable, I would think twice to go back.
- 4/5
Breakfast was not great. Food was cold and selection was poor.
- 3/5
Tv didnt work
- 5/5
Great bed, great staff and perfect gor our nights stop over.
- 5/5
Very clean. Continental breakfast. Very comfortable bed.
- 5/5
Great stay. Property was well maintained. Rooms were clean and quiet. Breakfast was good. Close to public transit.
- 4/5
Room clean 4 star
- 5/5
They need towel bars and hooks to hang up bathtowels, so they can be reused and to hang up backpacks etc.
- 5/5
Ideal Hotel to stay. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this location.
- 5/5
The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly. The room we got was clean and beds were comfortable. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Professional staff, rooms and property always clean, parking on premises, don’t overcharge for parking, location, location, location!!!
- 4/5
the staff at the reception desk were welcoming and cordial. The room was okay but I did not like that tve bathroom was located in front of the bedroom and had a closet type door and did not have any kind of ventilation inside.
- 5/5
Very clean and great staff
- 5/5
Good staff. Very helpful and friendly.
- 5/5
Separate from other guests. Overall a great stay.
- 4/5
Clean but location was a little hard to get to
- 5/5
Great hotel. Great staff
- 5/5
Nice hotel, no complaints.
- 5/5
Affordable pricing, clean and quiet facility, close to local attractions, amenities on-site, and helpful staff make this a convenient stay in the Arlington area.
- 1/5
I am not going to use Marriot as a hotel choice in Washington DC again. For the price of the room I expected way better accommodations
- 5/5
Room very roomy, nice and clean.
- 5/5
Free parking would be nice
- 5/5
We loved everything about this property! We parked our cars and never had to move them because of the easy access to the metro that was only a 15 minute walk away and close dining options nearby. The area was quiet and safe. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Clean, staff was really nice
- 3/5
However, the hotel itself left a bit to be desired. The rooms were a little stuffy, and the décor felt a bit outdated. The cleanliness was acceptable but not spotless, and we had a couple of minor maintenance issues. Staff were friendly but seemed overwhelmed, especially during check-in and breakfast hours. Speaking of breakfast — it was basic at best, with limited options and often ran out of items if you didn’t get there early. Overall, it’s a decent place if you prioritize location over luxury or amenities. I probably wouldn’t stay again unless I couldn’t find something better in the same area.
- 4/5
It was a nice place to stay.
- 4/5
Nice hotel very clean and staff was very nice.
- 4/5
I enjoyed a brief trip with Spring Hill suites, just stayed overnight. The accommodations were clean, people were kind. There are some areas of wear and tear in the exterior and in some minor areas along the hallway but that definitely did not lessen my experience. I would stay here for a night again.
- 5/5
Hotel was quiet and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful!
- 3/5
It was okay. Good if you are traveling for business. You have to pay $15 per night for parking even though Expedia said it was free parking. I'd pick the Marriott Courtyard two blocks closer to the metro if I had it to do over again. Free parking and better location.
- 4/5
Check in was flawless. On the first day we realized that the water was coming out from shower onto the floor, we used the floor mat to hold the water. On the same day we notified the front desk person. It was never addressed/ fixed. We asked cleaning staff for additional floor mats for the next two days to help with the water issue. Staff was very pleasant during the stay, we did mention at checkout that it was never fixed.
- 5/5
Met all of our expectations
- 5/5
Nice, clean room with a unique set up. Breakfast was good. Staff was very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
The room was impeccably clean and comfortable! While the bedding was a little worn, it was nevertheless clean, which is most important. There was a beautiful plum tree in bloom outside the hotel, and nice windows in the dining hall.
- 5/5
Trains nearby are noisy throughout the night but other than that everything was great
- 5/5
Good overall experience.
- 5/5
Nice and quiet. Very clean, all the employees were so polite and friendly
- 5/5
The staff was very kind and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I was able to rest well and even had breakfast available in the morning as well! My stay was great.
- 4/5
will recommend to my friends
- 5/5
No complaints
- 5/5
It was a great place for my family. Was able to take a train (7 mins) from the hotel into D.C. it was great.
- 5/5
It was great for the price
- 3/5
Wish there was more than two hot food items per day. Biscuits and gravy would have been nice for another option.
- 5/5
Great location. Convenient and easy access to many locations. Lots of shopping and dining options nearby.
- 5/5
I’ve stayed at several properties in the area, when visiting home, but none of them can even come close to this property. They take pride in their property!! Everything is so clean and immaculate, from the parking lot, to the lobby’s, to the elevators, on to the rooms. The staff is amazing!! I don’t ever want to stay at any other hotel besides this one, every time I return back to my hometown.
- 5/5
Lack of sanitized glasses in room for beverages. Prefer over provided plastic and paper.
- 5/5
Nice place

Great stay with a decent sized room that was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good with options like eggs, a meat, bagels, assorted coffee and juice. Staff were extremely nice. Only downside which was minor was that its a mini-fridge and small microwave.
