Check in person was excellent. Our room was not yet ready when we arrived. She patiently looked for accommodation options to try to provide us an upper level room. She held our luggage while we enjoyed the pool, and when our room was ready - she upgraded us to an Executive Suite! Whole stay was awesome. The pool, locker room, and pool staff were also exceptional.

Someone keyed my brand new car in their parking structure for absolutely no reason and there’s no surveillance and impossible to find who did it. I’ll never stay here again!

Great place to stay. Citrus Grill was wonderful, food and drinks on the patio was very nice. staff was friendly, helpful and professional. Rooms were very nice and comfortable.

Loved the gym, our room, restaurant, and close proximity to Ohana Fest for our anniversary weekend. Clean, modern facility with comfortable bed, spacious room, friendly staff, and gorgeous gym. We dined outside by the huge pool/ spa and enjoyed the weather and some sports playing on the outdoor TV. Love Renaissance ClubSport! We’ll book again soon.

Very happy with my stay. Beautiful location with great amenities. I was ok with the restaurant for breakfast, but quite disappointed with dinner. Need to upgrade their menu.

Very overpriced

Great hotel with a bar, coffee shop, incredible gym with pool. Staff was nice friendly and what you would expect from a nice hotel. Parking was $35 per night which seemed like a nice add-on revenue generator for the hotel. But the price of the room was a great deal so it evened out. Overall i would reccomend this hotel and i would certainly stay there again.

The hotel looks super new. The big perk is that you have access to a state of the art gym with olympic heated pool and all kinds of classes. The room was big and was super clean and there was a fridge for our left overs. Staff was very helpfull and friendly. There is a charge for parking. It's located about 15 minutes to Laguna Beach. I would stay here again.

Our room was directly above the kids water park, young kids were screaming and at times had no supervision. This is a family hotel, really not a business travel hotel. It was near where my daughter lived so location was good.

It was exceptionally modern, and clean. The pool was amazing, and very clean as well. The breakfast is AMAZING!!! and the area where we eat is very modern and clean. The bedroom we stayed in was very comfortable and very clean, and the bathroom was the same. Nothing!!! :)

There was no microwave. I wasn’t aware that this was also a gym, so there was a lot of foot traffic. Not very peaceful.

The construction is finished and everything is shiny and new. Best bang for your buck in Laguna.

Unexpected charges from other people, had to wait 3 hrs for check in, was shpposed to get a call on cell phone, never did until we decided to go back to front desk and check and was told that our room was indeed already available, requested for extra pillows and blanket that never came. Will unfortunately never come back here

Pool, jacuzzi and sport club is plus. We hope they not charging $35.00 for parking, which was empty. Overall we like it.

My wife and I love to workout and be active, this place is perfect for the hybrid athlete. It has turf field, basketball court, all he weights and machines you could need plus new treadmills that are fun to run on. Outdoors they have a huge swimming lane pool so perfect for training.

Where do I start this place is horrible. Booked for Valentine’s Day and the total come out to $312. The moment I get to the hotel I get hit with hidden fees such as an incidental and parking and some other minor fees. When I go to pay it brings the total to 465 and when I asked the guy at the counter if there was anything we can do he laughed in my face and just said these are our prices. Absolutely embarrassing and will not be staying here again.

Several mysterious charges after check out. I would like a detailed bill. The last charge of $32.00 was, I guess, for two bottles of water I bought as the(( hotel does not provide water. Two others might have been parking $49 and $50. ?? Of course, the room gets cleaned every 3rd day and you get 2 towels to last the two days before cleaning.

This is a really nice hotel with great customer service. The spa was also amazing! I got a great deep tissue massage from Jeremy. Highly recommend!

The location is nice close to the John Wayne airport. The property is clean the room is clean. A few things the AC is noisy and not cold . The bed is to soft, when I lay down my whole body was sunk in and the pillows are very flat. Not comfortable at all to sleep in / the food options are limited.

Add on type of hotel, parking $32 per night, breakfast $30 per person. But if put this aside, great staff, clean rooms, good lobby area.

We didn’t stay long enough to explore the pools and other amenities but our room was very clean and comfortable. We had the one next to the ice machine and it was very quiet! The bathroom and shower were very nice. We will definitely consider staying here again!

I liked that this property had tons of options for activities, such as swimming pools, workout areas, etc. Great staffing as well, and comfortable rooms.

Stayed in an accessible room so shower was low flow not to my liking. Food was good but Starbucks offerings were limited and out of stock. It was a family reunion and convenient rooms to each other were supplied. Many sports and exercise classes offered and a nice gift shop on premises.

I was overcharged; check your bill. Housekeeping forgot to service my room. I could only turn the A/C down to 67 degrees after being told I could turn it down to 62. Nice fitness though.

Nice hotel…they’re renovating but not inconvenient at all. If you love gyms and working out, this hotel is for you- nice gym, lap pool, sauna, exercise classes. Didn’t try the restaurant so not sure how that was. Their Starbucks drinks were not good at all. The bar looked busy on Friday night, so guessing that was pretty good. My biggest complaint is the bed pillows are horrible! Still trying to get the crick out of my neck two days later.

The restaurant had so many different options and it was affordable. The lap pools to whirlpool and outdoor jacuzzi allowed for muscle relaxation at its finest. It boosts every exercise equipment and exercise classes (Shout out to Natalie our instructor!) that you can think of. It was a nice way to either regenerate your determination to workout or ignite your existing flame dor health and fitness. It was truly an amazing experience. The only downfall was the housekeeping was not timely for our room.

Meh, the hotel part of it was ok. There was debris all over the floor so who knows when the last vacuum ran through. Bedding was dirty, and the room itself was a little run down. I also thought the $35 parking fee was ridiculous for you to park your own car in the large empty parking garage across the street. The upside was the pool area for the kids to play and the lobby was nice. The fitness facilities looked nice but we didn't use them.

Bad service. No front desk help. No one to help with luggage or dolly. Very rude.

Would like to have more towels at the outset.

The property had a great gym. Location was not far from the beach areas.

Great restaurant so I did not have to go out unless I wanted to. Great servers too. Mattress was the only downside of my stay. Lumpy and not comfy.

We loved everything! The other reason why we rated it 4 is in 2023 if you’re a hotel with this reputation you should have mini fridges in every room. This is the first hotel of this reputation that we arrived with no mini fridge. Also, the TVs are outdated with apps and not connected to WiFi to even access the apps on them. Lastly, the sink clogged up continuously within 30-60 seconds. Either someone needs to fix those drains or replace the sink. Overall beautiful property.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights on a beach trip. This hotel was in a location that was very quiet (not next to noisy roads). We also had a room at the end of the hallway in a corner room, so we heard nothing! The room was very nice and well laid out (King bed). The mini fridge was a decent size. There was no microwave, but we didn’t need one. The bed had a slight feather- type pad, but the bed and pad were not very soft. However, I’m pretty picky and I travel with a memory foam pad. The shower was a walk in shower with no closing door, which was fine, but there was no exhaust fan, so the bathroom steamed up. There was a bunch of black hair around the drain during my shower and if was not my hair. Other than that the room was clean. I couldn’t get the vending machines to work on two floors but the man at the front desk got some Sprite for me from the bar when I told him about it and said he’d let the manager know. We didn’t go to the bar/restaurant or gift shop and I think the pool was under repair so I can’t comment on these. Overall it was a pleasant stay. I wasn’t really happy about the paid parking. It was a parking garage next to the hotel. We had to drive farther to the beach staying here, but it was worth it to have a quiet hotel room. There is no free breakfast, if that’s important to you. I would probably stay here again if the price was right. We got a good last minute deal in October.

Nice, clean resort. Enjoyed the gym which offers just about everything and more compared to other monthly membership gyms.

A hotel perfect for everyone, adult, couples, and families can definitely enjoy a stay here. Lots of amenities like the gym, swimming pools, and small water slide area for kids. They have a restaurant with pub food and a full bar. Parking is a little pricey like $27 a night for garage self parking. It’s like 30 minute drive to the Laguna Beach waterfront. Location wise, it was great.

I thought it was going to be a little more luxurious. There was no room service, mini bar or good tea selection. They put a $250 hold on the card for amenities but there weren't really any amenities.

Not a luxury hotel average Joe nothing to write home about. Property does have nice amenities pools, fitness center, Starbucks counter, bar and restaurant nothing fancy. Rooms are in need of updating nothing special at all about them.

We loved everything about this hotel. It is centrally located, attractive, staff was friendly and the facilities - especially the fitness center - are among the best I have ever seen.

This is hands down one of the best , if not the actual best hotel I’ve stayed in for vacation. The staff is outstanding and the facility has so much to offer with full access to pool and full gym with fitness classes.

We stayed 10 days. The highlight was the fitness center attached to the hotel. The basketball court, pool and weightlifting equipment are excellent. The cafe and restaurant in the hotel are very good with heathy options for the entire family. We also used the spa services and had an excellent experience. One thing to know, they don’t clean the rooms unless you request it. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but pretty basic. For our family of 4 that used the hotel to mainly sleep as we explored Southern California, it worked out really well. Easy to get to and from places. We would definitely return.

I will never stay here again based upon one item, $27 a day to park a car in an open parking structure is overpriced and abusive. The gym that uses the same structure is not charged. Again abusive and I was not advised until I arrived and had to back into the structure 2 floors up and hang a card on my mirror

Didn't realize that it was located so far from the beach and required a ride to the center of town. No one's fault.

This property is really good but not 5 out of 5 for two reasons. The shower head is really bad and has no volume or pressure. They charge $27,00 for PARKING!!! I use to live right around the corner so I know the area well and the parking garage is virtually empty. Charging Manhattan prices for parking is border line highway robbery. Otherwise this is an outstanding hotel.

This hotel has everything. Great gym facilities, pools, splash pads for the little ones, great bar and food and is conveniently located near many restaurants. Staff was great. Only dislike is the bed….needs to be updated to a firmer mattress.

If you enjoy the gym or the feeling of a wellness center...you will very much enjoy this hotel. The gym seemed bigger than the hotel...its in a separate area easily accessible from the hotel. The womans locker rooms are nothing like I've ever seen (guessing the men's locker room is the same). Each sink has a blow dryer, spray deodorant, hair spray, Q-tips, etc, gym bathrooms have body wash, shampoo, conditioner. Very clean. The steam room, sauna and jacuzzi are available in the women's locker room as well. Gym offers basketballs and racquetball courts, massage, esthetician, yoga classes, trx classes, zumba.... it really does have it all. Rooms are good and clean...nothing spectacular. but the amenities def made up for what the rooms for lacking. we will definitely be back on a regular basis.

The beds were hard and uncomfortable. I had to request extra pillows and the lady at the front desk completely forgot about my request. My body ached my entire stay.

This is our second time staying here and we are so excited to show the kids all of the great activities. We celebrated our nine year anniversary here and had such an amazing time. Such a Clean Hotel, and everybody is very friendly, delicious food and they even had a DJ on Sunday.

Good experience except my wife could have used a shower AP because shower is one option only of a rainfall and she couldn’t get her hair wet due to wedding that night.

I love how the gym is fully equipped, all machines are all wiped down or have the tools and cleaning supplies you need to wipe down before and after use. I love how the courts aren't dusty when playing pickle ball and the rooms are always clean. The only complaint would be new manager at the front desk that was helping teach new staff how to work reception. I called earlier to let them know I was arriving early and doing an early check-in. The African American manager right off the bat said "check in is at 4PM" then I told him I had already called and let them know a head of time my situation. He didn't even apologize that he was in the wrong, he just left to the back and let the new staff handle it. If I hadn't called in, he definitely would have made my wife and I wait til 4PM for check-in.

The bedding was terrible. Too soft a bed with a mattress pad that was lumpy and bulky bedding. The room was very nice and clean. The dining area had a fun vibe to it with yummy bar food. The margaritas were only ok. Served a Small size glass instead of margarita glasses filled with ice and only a minimal taste of alcohol. Also the drink was very tart without any sweetness. Paid $14 per drink at the bar which was ridiculous after having 5-6 small swallows and the glass was empty. The pool was perfect and the hot tub wasn’t hot.

Few things about the hotel is that the Hotel does not have a microwave anywhere in the building. Starbucks only has brewed coffee. At check in you will not receive any information about the propery.

Have stayed at this hotel several times before when visiting friends in the area and over the years the quality and cleanliness of the rooms has continued to decline. Sheets smelled as if they hadn’t been cleaned and there’s were stains on the headboard. Also the room was on the top floor which might seem nice except the HVAC units were right above the room and ran all night producing a loud humming noise in the room all night.

I had so much fun for my Valentines day weekend with my hubby! Will def go back bc the hotel is 15min from the beach which is perfect!

What an incredible hotel. Any kind of gym equipment, classes, delicious restaurant and childcare. Staff is constantly cleaning. And front desk is very polite. We will definitely come back!!!

Pleasant& felt safe. But no minibar or water in room plus curtains would not close. Otherwise, a good choice.

Upon arrival, we took the elevator and it ended up being broken. Staff took us to service elevator and ended up getting inside the elevator for 10-12 minutes. Maintenance had to come and shut of power to be able to pry door open. Food and beverage staff compensated our breakfast for the following day, super kind. It would have been nice to get our rooms discounted but they added 2 extra hours to check-out.

Elisa at the front desk was fabulous. I called ahead of arrival to request early check in. Upon arrival, she remembered me, was friendly & super welcoming. She was also the desk agent at check out & was chatty, ensured we had a nice stay, etc. room was clean & stylish, shower was huge. We’ll definite be back.

We arrived for check-in at 2:45 PM. I understand check-in is at 4 PM. I asked front desk if we could check-in early, she told me in 1 hour she would call to let me know room was available. 2 hours later and still no phone call. I had to go to front desk at 5:30 PM to check-in. No apology or effort to accommodate having to wait extra was amended, they wouldn’t even give my wife and I a late check-out.

Love this place. If you like to be active, it's the place to go. We love the lap pool and definitely used it. The gym is amazing with so many options! Also the restaurant is good. Even shakes at the snack bar after a workout are great!
