Accommodated my disabled brother with a first floor room. Room was nice. Beds comfy. Free breakfast. Friendly staff. Parking right outside door to assist with disability. Will stay again.

Instead of a closet or dresser, they have pegs.

I was overcharged I was supposed to be charged 9860 as I was the weekend before and they charged me one 5640 at first. I thought it was because of the holiday weekend however, other people that were staying at the hotel was charged the hundred dollar rate

Great location very clean

Every hotel in town had their pool open but not Microtel. It was 90+ degrees outside and no reason they should "wait until Memorial Day" to open. There was no coffee maker in the room and the breakfast consisted of bagels and cereal. Have stayed here often but rates have increased to the point that it's no longer worth the money.

There is a great restaurant around back. The hotel is great for short stays.

Location for the reason I was there. Breakfast was very limited. No hot food of any kind. Limited cereal to choose from.

No iron in the room no drawers whatsoever. Clean. I was asleep and the front desk clerk called my room and asked that I come pay a bill for the restaurant next door because I left without paying. Never been there in my life. She allowed the waitress to look through the driver's license in file and they concluded it was me. When I went to the front desk the waitress instantly knew it wasn't me. My grow is why was a third party allowed to see my private information. That has to be against the law. Nevertheless. I expressed my disclosure with this acct and asked no to be woke again for any reason. I slept well the rest of the night. I still haven't met with my attorney to see if this is a violation of my privacy but it sure should be. I was so embarrassed to be treated like that. I was furious at the same time. I wish I had never stayed there and because if this I will never stay there again if I can avoid it. Someone apparently forgot to train this person. What kind of hotel would embarrass a customer like that without concrete everywhere. It's like she wanted to see me get in trouble. I didn't recommend staying anywhere that will try and incarcerate you if they think you may have possibly left without paying which is what the waitress claimed. How did the attendant know she was telling the truth and not just trying to get her significant other downstairs to shoot him for cheating or Good knows what other reason? Surely someone out there can see the issues with this?!!!

Feel like a very safe area and convenient right off of I-85. Many restaurantsin very clise proximity. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast could be better, very limited, but im not a breakfast person so it was fine for me.

The amendies and the comfort of bed The fact that the desk clerk went to personally look in my room before I received my cash deposit back...I was extremely embarrassed!!...I'm a 64 year old woman what in God's name did she think happened in my room? I will never recommend or attend this hotel ever again. I have never experienced this before in a hotel.

I expected much more, the hotel is older. I had to put down a cash deposit which was weird to me. It felt like the carpet in the room was damp. I expected much more for the the cost. I moved to another hotel.

Our room as well as the facilities were decent and clean. The price was reasonable. The continental breakfast that they offer was lacking. The rooms, though clean, were outdated. And the carpet definitely needs to be taken out.

Could hear neighbors arguing and yelling. people above us must have had lids because you could hear them constantly running back and forth. Breakfast wasn't anything to write home about. not many options.

I guess it was good for the price. The room was smaller than I was expecting. The sound from other rooms and the corridor was louder than I am used to. There are no blackout shades/curtains so the room was lit up from the business across the road.

The hotel had been upgraded since I last stayed there. Great improvements. Staff was great. There were a few housekeeping issues that they remedied as they were able. Overall a good stay- comfortable bed- good coffee!

The pool was not open even though it was 73 degrees outside.My biggest complaint is the first night their were people screaming yelling and slapping sounds.Aparently they were enjoying themselves but at the expense of others.Then the second night I a man was singing to the top of his lungs at 2:00am.The hotel staff just called and said their was a noise complaint.I was there for work and it was not a pleasant stay.

The young lady at the desk was an absolute gem, quick, professional, and extremely personable. The room was clean and comfortable-and with it getting warm in SC the AC worked great. The hotel was within walking distance to a Starbucks & Arby’s and there was a Shell station with a McDonald’s attached right across the street. More than ample parking as well. I wasn’t there long enough to take advantage of any amenities but I did see the laundry facilities & they looked clean as well. If I come through that way again I will definitely stay there a second time.

You get what you pay for. I always regret cheaping out. Funky odor and not so clean. Stale smoke and wet dog smell combo. Glad it was late and a quick one sleep stay.

Description says queen bed, but it’s definitely not a full sized queen. It’s a full mattress. This was very underwhelming after long travel. I also believe i got bit by a spider the first night on my ankle.

The carpet in the room was stained and looked like it had water stains. The TV remote had dead batteries and I had to call the front desk. The bed was comfortable and the staff was responsive.

We stay quite frequently at this hotel since they are pet friendly and convenient to everything we need. Our only issue with our room is that the HVAC was not working properly and the room felt "muggy" even after adjusting the temperature.

The property was clean and inviting. Room was very comfortable and cool which being in the middle of august is very important. Front desk people were very friendly and helpful. Check in was simple, easy, and quick. Room was clean. Breakfast the following morning did not offer a lot of variety, but it was pleasant.

The stay was smooth and an easy drive to Clemson University. The staff gave dining options for incredible bbq, but also printed a copy of some items as I didn’t have access to printer— above and beyond. The breakfast is simple but enough to the motor started. Some staff were on there private phones at times but were still responsive and accessible. Overall wonderful stay.

Hotel smelled horrible of smoke, in lobby and in all hallways. Breakfast was gross and hardly a feature. Staff was rude on check-in and smelled so bad of smoke it made my eyes water.

We have stayed here before. Part of our past concerns were being updated so we tried for what appears to be our last time staying. We requested a suite availability in the area, and was not given anything close to its listing. Hotels.com there are a few dozens of new places to visit and rent, please update your area partners. Microtel had no hangers, closets, weight bearing anything for our clothing. Shower curtain was too short. The parking lot could certainly use safer lighting at night.

My daughter and I stayed here last year for the SC Jr Beef Round-Up and had the best experience. The lady who checked us in is ALWAYS excellent ( I remember her vividly because she was very welcoming and down-to-earth.) However, the room this year was on the first floor and was not as big, clean, or "stocked" as the same kind of room (2 queen beds) as last year. That room was on the fourth floor. This year's room was not unbearable. There was a used tissue behind the bed, hair in the bathroom and the room was a bit cramped. I guess I was expecting the same as last year and was disappointed when staying this year in a "lesser" room for the same or more money. The lady who checked us in is this hotel's Saving Grace! She is such a gem that I didn't want to burden her with my complaints. I will just know to inspect rooms going forward BEFORE I confirm payments.

Our stay had some issues. They put us in a handicap room that had a non-working bathroom exhaust fan. The decorative garment pegs where no secure to hold a robe or jacket. The carpet and bathroom floor was dirty. The bed was comfortable and linen was clean but i think they amenities failed.

For the last few years whenever we are in the area, we always stay at this Microtel Inn. It is very clean, quiet and has very friendly/helpful staff. Comfortable beds, lots of bathroom amenities and excellent room furniture. The facility was undergoing a major renovation the last 2 years and the result is wonderful. Also has a free nice Continental breakfast.

It was fine for just a quick one night stay but I wouldn’t recommend for any more than that. The beds and bathroom seemed clean but the carpet in our room was disguising and needed cleaned badly. Breakfast was fine for what we needed, which was just the basics.

The hotel was more than expected for the price. I slept like a baby( my sister said) the bed was so comfy. Towels, linen was white as snow and soft as well. Had coffee at 5 am and I just think it was great.

It is a budget hotel. It was very clean and everything in the room worked. Breakfast was OK, but certainly not among the best. But again, this is a budget hotel.

Everything was good save the continental breakfast. A lot of blue collar workers stay here for a week at the time. They pretty much wiped out the breakfast and no one on staff attended to replenishing it. Great if you like coffee and cereal.

If you only need a quick place to sleep, this is great!

The room we stayed in didn’t have blinds or curtains. You can see right into the room from outside. The breakfast was continental, I should have looked for that before I booked but I had no choice because the neighboring hotel where I was booked had a fire and told me a day before my trip so I had to book something fast. I also didn’t realize they were pet friendly so you just hear dogs barking the whole time. The rooms were tiny. The bathroom was tiny.

NOISY - crying baby across hall, loud teenagers in room next door, garbage truck outside window at 2:33AM, noisy hotel staff (I believe in either laundry room or kitchen) 3 doors down at 5:30AM. Absolutely no sleep. And not much empathy from staff.

Everything was fantastic, from the service to the room amenities! The hotel/room were well lit and clean, the bed was comfy, and the snack area had a nice selection for reasonable prices.

Heavy pot smell all around the property. Unbearable smell of pot wafting through adjoining room door throughout the night, had to change rooms. Most of the coffee creamers attempted to use were curdled. Tile floor in the room was sticky and dirty. Supposed queen bed felt very small, measured more like a double bed.

The hotel was over all nice. The breakfast was not so good being everything was cold. It was convenient for what we needed it for and affordable.

When they say breakfast ends at 9 they mean they are turning off the lights and the TV and you need to leave. If checkout is 11 they are knocking on your door at 10:58. Very annoying.

Rooms are small and no ironing available, but room and lobby was clean and staff was good.

Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Room size was good but really lacks a place to put things. Three stubs on the wall is not the same as a place to hang clothing and coats. It is difficult to live out of a suitcase for five nights. If just doing a quick overnight with a backpack would be fine. Also, staircases have no emergency lights so when power goes out unexpectedly could be dangerous.

Small town

Will not be staying again I had 2 small children with me we order pizza and went to the movies afterwards we came back to the room and fell asleep upon waking up we notice a trail of ants coming from behind the tv to the pizza when I approached the front desk to tell her about the situation she was very rude and accused us of trashing the room but still returned my deposit but refused to do anything about the hundreds of ants … She also stayed out of her own mouth that our room was not the only room complaining of ants

The sheets were itchy like fabric softener has never been invented. We stayed two nights and our room wasn’t cleaned. We were provided a handicap accesible room even though we didn't request one which made showering a mess. We used all of our towels drying up the floor and had to request more the next day since the room wasn’t cleaned. The A/C was also poorly functioning and took most of the night to get cool enough to sleep. I've stayed in worse places, but I've also stayed in better places for the same amount of money. Can't say I'll be back even though we travel to the area often.

It was good for the money. The only thing i did not like was that there was no place to HANG your clothes. We had to live out of our luggage. Breakfast was decent. Beds were nice and clean.

The check in clerk was very personable. The breakfast was a grab and go type which was fine for us. The only negative was our room smelled like smoke from the previous occupants.
