Best Western Asheville Blue Ridge Parkway

The room was nice and suited our needs for an overnight stay. However, very early the next morning, we were disturbed by a dog barking continuously for about 15 minutes, so instead of being able to sleep a little longer, we just got up and checked out.

The room was clean, and the staff was very friendly and quick during check-in and check-out. Not very noise, but you could hear the people outside. Overall was a good place for my one night stay.

Room was clean and breakfast was tasty. Dog was able to safely potty. They allowed super late check in which was great considering our road-trip was delayed and we arrived at 2am and were able to get a late check out at 2pm. Staff were kind.

Ok for a 1 or 2 night stay. Nothing more. On the whole the room was relatively clean though it reeked of stale cigarette smoke even though the rooms are supposed to be non smoking. AC kept the room cool but was extremely noisy. TV remote sensor had fallen in behind the TV stand / dresser so you couldn't adjust anything on the TV. The front desk did help us figure that one out. Staff was very helpful.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, lots of parking

Everything was wonderful. I was able to get into my room early. That was a real blessing. It kept me from roaming the streets until check-in. The staff were super friendly and most efficient. The breakfast was pleasant and tasty. The room was very roomy and the beds were sooo comfortable. I will definitely come back here if I am ever in Asheville again. Thank you to Noah and Dylan for making an old lady feel comfortable.

The staff and breakfast were good, and the room appeared updated. However, it smelled awful like an old musty motel to the point I had difficulty sleeping. Idk how it smelled that way since everything looked relatively new but they should address it.

Breakfast had hot dishes as well, so not just continental Somehow I missed in the ad that this is a motel, with rooms opening outside, instead of a hotel. That was a bummer. And soundproofing could be better.

Wonderfully maintained, very large, older property. The landscaping is beautiful. The breakfast is great. The pillows are absolutely awful. Chopped foam or something. All Best Westerns I have stayed at are using them.

This has gotta be the BEST hotel in the Asheville area! You walk into the room and it SMELLS CLEAN!! The staff was very friendly as well and the breakfast was good! I wish we could've used the amenities like the pool area. They have an indoor and outdoor pool. They are also pet friendly, which is a plus for us because our dog travels alot with us. They have a dog walking area as well for those that do travel with their pups. If we ever come to Asheville again, we will be coming here!!

Decor is very dated, curtains were dirty and torn, looked like possible pet damage. There was a “water bug” crawling up the shower wall when we turned on the bathroom light. Lamp behind the chair was broken. Was only a one night stay.

Nice hotel for the price. It was much quieter than expected.

The room was not swept and there were long brown hairs on the bed, and hair dryer. I appreciated that you could use the amenities at both hotels. It seemed like the housekeeper had long brown hair and probably tried but left her hair everywhere. Not the end of the world. But there was also pieces of paper and stuff left on floor so I know it wasn’t swept. Overall, good value for what you get considering the price. We stayed solely for my child to swim.

We were in Asheville for the NAIA Track and Field National Meet. This was a nice convenient place to stay near UNC Asheville. Clean room, great staff, nice breakfast and access to workout room and indoor pool. The outdoor pool looked nice but wasn’t open for the season yet. Would stay here again.

The rooms were really clean. You could smell the cleanliness when you walked in. Had to bottles of water and mints on the table in the room. The staff was perfect and the breakfast was great. This is the cleanest and best hotel I've stayed in, in a long time.

This isn’t your boutique, curated, “artisan soap and reclaimed wood headboard” kind of place—and it’s not pretending to be. It’s a straightforward, road-trip-friendly hotel that delivers where it counts: the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and everything worked. Zero drama, which is underrated. The setup is more motel-style (park outside your door), which I actually didn’t mind—especially hauling stuff in and out. Staff were friendly, check-in was easy, and the free breakfast was better than expected (real food, not just sad muffins and regret). Downsides? It’s a little dated in spots, and the location is more “convenient” than “charming”—you’ll be driving anywhere you want to go. But for the price, it’s hard to complain. Bottom line: if you want a clean, affordable place to crash while you explore Asheville—and don’t need it to double as a lifestyle brand—this place gets the job done. Would stay again.

Everything was covered in pollen outside and could have benefited from a hosing down, but since it’s been so dry, maybe it’s a water shortage issue. Breakfast was plentiful and the staff was busy with refilling and cleaning.

This should be a motel not hotel I felt unsafe in the room. The swimming pool was closed. I didn’t like the fact that swimming pool was outside and dirty. The staff is friendly but I think some more upgrades need to be made. The room I stayed someone with a loud truck was in and out and on the first day a man came and stood outside our door on the phone for about 2 hours. On this trip I was not happy sorry the photos are misleading on the booking site.

They have electric car charging stations just behind the office but they are Tesla chargers and you have to pay for them. I don't understand why more and more hotels are moving to paying for charging. The one I stayed at the night before had free charging for electric vehicles which is the way it should be everywhere.

The guy who checked me in was quick, efficient, and friendly. He gave me the information I needed. Breakfast the next morning was more than adequate. There were many choices. Checkout was easy. I'll stay there again.

The room was perfectly clean, and quite. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was very good. We had a good stay.

While they say "..all rooms are non-smoking" that does not mean that they have not been smoked in. The duty manager showed me 6 rooms before we found one that did NOT smell of cigarette smoke and spray over scent. There were stamped out cigarettes in the stair well and on the sidewalks.

Only complaints - one of our beds had several hairs on the bedding - they replaced the bedding but because there was no one able to remake the bed I made my own bed. Also our tv wasn’t working properly and would close out Netflix every 3 minutes!

Room was not well sound-proofed. Traffic noise was fairly loud. TV in adjacent room was on and audible most of the night. Room was generally in OK condition, slightly worn, not fresh, not new. Sink was cracked. HANDRAIL NEEDED ON WALL NEXT TO TUB TO PREVENT FALLING WHEN STEPPING INTO SLIPPERY TUB. Breakfast was very good. Staff was very pleasant.

This was a great place to stay near the Blue Ridge Parkway. We were there to day hike and it was close to the BRP Visitor’s centre where we got great advice for hiking. Rooms were clean and comfy, and the breakfast was amazing. Great value!

The room was clean but hotel was actually a motel with 6 ot 7 inside rooms, the walls are paper thin and our neighbors were loud. The staff had to come fix our TV, he was very kind. Just not really advertised as is, in my opinion.

I was not even given opportunity to stay at this hotel due to their night manager being a complete insensitive jerk. I drove over 10 hours to come see my dying nephew who was only given two weeks to live and the night manager had a horrible attitude towards from the second i walked into the hotel lobby. He claimed i was yelling at him which i was not but i was physically and mentally exhausted, so I tried to apologize to him.And he yelled at me further and told me that I can leave, and i'm not going to stay there. When i left the lobby and walked to my car,i ended up having a horrible anxiety attack and collapsed right in front of my car door. Then the night manager came outside to tell me to shut up or he was going to call the police. I did my best to get myself back together but he kept coming outside to yell at me more. I tried to drive out of the parking lot and almost crashed. This so called night management should not be allowed to treated people like that. I am so angry that my nephew who is Marine, a husband,an amazing father and just awesome person doesn’t get live but this monster night manager does. Life is so unfair.

The hot breakfast buffet was a nice option with biscuits and gravy, sausage, make your own waffles and scrambled eggs in addition to cereals, yogurt and bagels. Not to far from Biltmore Estate and plenty of restaurants in the area. Would stay again if back in area.

Only complaint I have was the parking. We checked in at 4pm and had ample parking and was able to park directly in front of our room. We left to go to dinner around 7pm and returned around 9pm to find absolutely no parking available. We drove around the parking lot 3 times to try to find a spot. We ended up having to park up by the office which was on the opposite side of the property from our room. Other than that everything was great. Clean room, well kept grounds, and friendly staff.

Room 514 next doors car alarm went off over 10 times between 12 and 7am staff did not address it. Beds were somewhat clean

Checked out early. The breakfast was very picked over and no one was checking or replenishing. There was a large rat or mouse eaten hole in the bathroom door jam. Not at all near the rating that was posted.

Parking in front of your room is the best! Dog area has a great amount of space to walk your babies without any issues. My room was clean. Plenty of hot water for a nice shower! Only negative part was the location of my room. It was next to the stairs and laundry room which I believe may have an ice machine too. People were coming up and down the steps and slamming the door to the laundry room. And to be honest, it the heaviness of the doors so it’s not intention noises from the doors. So I got lil to no sleep. Next time I will request a different room location but the price, the room, free breakfast and safety make this BW a great value for your money. Will def be back soon. Thank you!

The front desk was super helpful and very accommodating. The room was very clean. I stayed two nights and the room was cleaned and linen changed, which was not expected as it seems hotels have changed this standard since covid.

The staff when we checked in was awesome but leaving not so much. The beds were high off the ground so we had to lift my elderly mother. The rooms were terribly out dated. Clean linen but dirty tile floors and a chair that was poorly patched with tape. The price jumped over 130$ by the time I arrived which I now know I should have paid when I booked, although won’t stay again.

For $187 we thought it would be a nicer hotel. It was set up like it used to be a sketchy motel that was remodeled. You access the rooms from the outside which I don’t like. Old furniture, sheets were kinda dirty with dead skin and crumbs. The only positive was the free breakfast was pretty good.

The room was mostly good. The bathroom door, however, got in the way. Also, the floor was dirty. The guest next door had a pit bull that barked and was intimidating. Around 9 pm, a bunch of young men on the second floor were hanging over the railing drinking and making a lot of noise.

The staff here is amazing. The people that clean the rooms work HARD. For a room that can easily track in dirt and bugs, the staff there definitely cleans every corner. Not a cobweb or stain in sight. I took a Clorox wipe and wiped the entire inside of the tub and the wipe was still WHITE. Cleanliness is so important to me when choosing a property. Very clean. The breakfast was DELICIOUS too. The front desk overnight guy was great and the day shift front desk girl was very accommodating and sweet. Pet friendly, we traveled with our dog and there’s a place for them in the back to relieve themselves. I wish it was gated tho so I could have let him run around a bit. Stayed 3 nights. Highly recommend.

This hotel, is actually a motel. I was able to choose a room furthest away from the driveway, which made it pretty quiet. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were lumpy. The whole room definitely needed an interior upgrade.

Basic hotel, could use some TLC. The brown armchair in the room was cracked, scratched, definitely worn. Not that I was planning to use it but definitely an eye sore. There was also a huge chip in the paint on the bathroom door which was unsightly. That said the room was clean and bed comfortable, and the desk staff super friendly!

Room was quiet. Grounds well kept. Unfortunately someone backed into my parked car overnight and did not leave a note. I was allowed to review surveillance camera video and it did not capture the culprit. There was a 2 hour gap in the video though when it may have occurred. Large dent in tailgate and deep scratches below rear window. That was my only disappointment with the hotel.

EV charging was a simple 12A and 75 cents per kWh which is expensive.

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel numerous times. It is always clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast is excellent. Today they served fluffy scrambled eggs, link sausages, biscuits, and gravy. Cereals, grits, toast, bagels, yogurt, and make-your-own mini waffles were also available. This is our go-to hotel when we visit the Asheville area. We will be back. Thanks to all the staff. Keep up the good work and cheerful, helpful attitudes.

We took my daughter's toy poodle with us on this trip. The staff placed us in a great room close to the dog park with parking right at the door. The dog park was very nice and well maintained. It was quiet, clean, and close to everything that we wanted to do on this trip. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

Front desk help needs more English training. She did not understand my request for cleanup at the tool. The mess was not cleaned up before I checked out.

Breakfast was good there was a pool and it was pretty clean no major issues or concerns.

We ask for a downstairs room because of elderly customers and were put in an upstairs room with no elevators available. We barely made it up the steps to stay.

Our room was updated and very clean. The kids loved the pool and breakfast was great every day. There were a lot of options for breakfast and the staff running breakfast made sure everything was refilled and clean. The staff came in and refreshed our room about halfway through our stay and it was great. We travelled with our dog as well and the dog area was spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and ready to help in any way needed. This is a great hotel!

My Room was clean everyday with fresh towels and sheets and the water was good and hot and everybody was nice....the only thing ive got to say is something was wrong with the hot waterntank and I didn't have hot water for whole.day but other then that good nice clean place and they kept the pool uip

The property was quiet, clean and safe. We were only there for one night, but we were able to get a great night's sleep and a wonderful breakfast on our way out the next morning.

Motel feel but nice, clean rooms. Downside, noisy road.

We stayed here on trip back home and it was super clean and convenient for my children and I. Would stay again if we were ever in the area.

This motel though lower priced, always delivers on easy check in, well kept landscaping and clean rooms. Pool was clean and open. Be aware $100 held on your credit card.

This is probably an older property that has been completely refurbished. The young lady at teception was very couteous and helpful. The reception area, breakfast area, the room and all exterior area were spotless. Kudos to the reception staff and especially the housekeeping staff for a splendid job. Your dedication did not go unnoticed. Thanks also to the morning breakfast staff who did a superb job of providing a delicious meal in a very clean breakfast area.

Check in was very easy and fast and the front desk attendant was friendly and professional. The rooms are large and close to anything you want to explore in Asheville.

I was very pleased with the appearance and hospitality I found here! Everything was clean and my room was very comfortable! Nestled under a mountain background, it was appealing. Breakfast was delightful and had a 99 on it’s current sanitation certificate

Cons: King bed and pull out sofa bed were very uncomfortable; carpet dirty; leaks in sink and bathtub

The room smelled like a wet diaper, but it was late at night when I checked in and I didn’t feel like complaining. I made staff aware the next morning when I checked out so they could address it before I next guest checked in. This is the first issue I have ever had, and I stay at this location on a regular basis. It’s definitely the best value for the money in this area.

There’s nothing really wrong with the place. A little dated. Good value. It’s a reasonable place to stay if you’re budget travelers.

Very nice place, no issues

I do not recommend. Old style motel in an area that feels a little sketchy. I realize Asheville has been through its tough times, but there are a lot of people hanging around here that are not housed. People sleeping in their cars, etc. not saying that it isn’t safe, but I wouldn’t leave anything in my car and I’m not sure it would be a great place for kids. People going between rooms in the night, etc. Property should alert potential guests that this has become a FEMA hotel.

We went to the Biltmore for our anniversary. The hotel was just minutes away from there. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly and they served a great breakfast. There were many nice restaurants in the area.

The bathroom floor in room 238 was very dirty. It left a black film under my foot. Other than that, everything else was nice and clean. Breakfast was nice too. Nice hot coffee. I love the coffee maker in the room. Would definitely come again in the future if I’m ever back out there.

I enjoyed the friendliness of the man when I checked in and the young lady when I was checking out, and everything in between!

I have stayed before really great! This time different. Before two water bottles were in room this time none. This time a roach first night by sink. Second night roach on my nightstand. They need to fix this problem quickly and get it back to what it was before.

Always appreciate the friendly staff

No hot water! I let the folks know at the desk that we didn’t have any hot water the first night. When we checked out after the second night, I explained that we still had not had any hot water. The lady at the desk said that she would be calling the manager because other folks in various buildings were also complaining about no hot water. We were in town for a wedding and really needed at least warm water for showers. This is really a shame because it looked like the hotel had recently been updated.

The Hotel is showing its age but is a bargain for the money. The staff, especially Dylan at the Front desk was very friendly and helpful during my stay.

The room itself was a no smoking room but the moment we walked in we could tell it had been occupied by smokers. There were little things missed by the cleaning staff here and there. The toilet never stopped running and the screws came out of the top hinges of the bathroom door after the first day. And there were transients all over the property at all hours. Stayed because it would have been too luch trouble to change and the location was convenient, but would not stay again.
