Such a cool place! Beautiful and great location. Breakfast wasn’t worth it. No eggs, meat etc. just bagels yogurt and hard boiled eggs.
- 5/5
Such a lovely stay for one night in Asheville. The bed was very comfortable and the house felt very private despite us not being the only guests there. The fireplace in the lobby made our stay extra cozy, so much so that we wished we had planned for an extra night during our travels! The staff were also wonderful and made us feel truly welcomed. If we ever come back to Asheville we would certainly book this again.

This my second stay at Cedar Crest. THe first time I was on the 1st floor. This time I was on the 3rd floor. I think I would prefer a lower floor. My only suggestion is the breakfast never changes and by the 3rd morning, I was ready for a change

Cedar Crest Inn was a great place to stay! It was well located and beautifully maintained. The Romeo and Juliet room was well appointed and very clean. Would absolutely stay here again!

This place is pure magic. It’s like traveling back in time. This house is so well taken care of and full of love. We stayed in the tower room and it was some of the best sleep I have ever had in my life. Breakfast was simple but so good. Soft beds, great atmosphere, and close to all the great places in town. My wife and I will definitely be going back!

This was one of the most charming and peaceful hotels I've ever stayed in!

Neat place, good location, nice staff. Not much of a breakfast, hard boiled eggs, toast, muffins, and yogurt every day.

Hospitality is outstanding. Very comfortable bed. Great location.
- 3/5
We chose the Eastlake room and it was not particularly comfortable - mostly because of the noise throughout the night making it difficult to sleep - lots of traffic noise and sirens as it’s close to a hospital - but mostly the loud clanging coming from the plumbing or furnace - it literally sounded like someone banging on pipes with a wrench and the noise would repeat regularly through the night. The check-in experience was strange - apparently we were the only guests checking in that day and were asked very specifically about what breakfast items we planned to eat and how many of each we would eat - I found having to decide how many eggs I was planning to eat the next morning a very weird question and the whole thing made the check-in experience super uncomfortable. The coffee provided was excellent, and access to a Keurig was handy, The breakfast itself was disappointing - as a B&B (it’s in the name), I think more of an effort should be made to provide a fresh, hot breakfast for guests - rather than the buffet style packaged food you’d expect at a Quality Inn or similar hotel. This is the only B&B I have ever stayed in that didn’t serve a fresh, hot breakfast to guests. The stay wasn’t bad, but I will probably choose a different b&b next time.

We stay at the Cedar crest Inn at least twice a year. Beautiful, relaxing, clean, lovely. See you again soon
- 5/5
Continental breakfast was good. Would have been better if they changed it since we were there for 5 days and same menu every day. Staff especially Christi was extremely helpful with information on the area and where to go. They were all very accommodating in anything you needed!

A seriously stunning Victorian mansion. It’s been well cared for. The woodworking throughout is the best I’ve ever seen. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We stayed two nights in the Garden Room. Lovely. Breakfast is served, somewhat simple fare with several choices and delicious coffee. Recommend!!

Very charming and picturesque! Plenty of parking and very friendlt staff. Immaculate rooms! Plenty to choose from on their continental breakfast buffet!
- 5/5
The place was an awesome find. The staff was amazing and catered to all who were there as well as made us feel at home. It was so close to the Biltmore which what we wanted. I highly recommend them and will stay again! There is nothing i didn't like.
- 5/5
Beautiful room, comfortable bed. Friendly staff
- 5/5
We absolutely loved our stay at cedar crest. The inn is gorgeous inside and out. Every room is decorated so uniquely and beautifully it makes for such a romantic and cozy place to be. We enjoyed the breakfast every morning and all the staff were so kind and helpful. We were in room 2 of the carriage house. All the amenities worked well and the room was very clean. The only trouble we had was the fireplace in the living room didn’t seem to be working. We loved how close we were to so many fun things to do like the Biltmore house, antique stores, the blue ridge parkway, etc. Would definitely recommend and love to stay again
- 5/5
Great place to stay! Will hopefully be back.
- 5/5
Loved this beautiful historic inn!
- 5/5
We stayed at the Cedar Crest Inn for the weekend and it was wonderful. It was my wife's birthday and made a special request to the management and they were highly accommodating in a very short period of time. The management was brilliant and responsive. We did not stay inside the main Inn but was placed in one of the guest cottages outside. Parking was right outside the cottage and cottage is walking accessible to the main Inn which can be accessed at any time. The breakfast was good and the staff was very hospitable. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to stay close to downtown Ashville with quick access to Biltmore estates.
- 5/5
This place is a real gem! We loved our room and being able to hang out in the gorgeous living room. Lovingly run, which shows! We will be back!
- 5/5
We absolutely loved our stay at this property!
- 5/5
Nice B&B in old mansion. Nice staff, clean room.
- 4/5
The Serenity Suite has a spacious bedroom with fireplace, a comfortable sitting room, wonderful bathroom with spa tub/shower, and its own veranda. Well prepared and ready. Christy and Sue are great.
- 5/5
Wonderful historic bed and breakfast! There were many personalized touches that were great (access to coffee and tea 24/7, the water jug to refill your water, afternoon cookies, etc). The fireplace was a fantastic place to enjoy a glass of wine and overall the decor and vibe was immaculate. I do have to say that the breakfast was very basic and coffee was very weak (breakfast is basically bagels and yogurt and muffins) but I would still recommend it. Just plan to grab breakfast or coffee elsewhere (which is not hard in a place like Asheville). Totally recommend!
- 5/5
The innkeeper Susan and the Hostes Chris where wonderful! Friendly, helpful and taken care of all our needs. The Inn is beautiful! We stayed in Cottage 2 which was Pet friendly. Perfect! Warm and cozy! We will be back!
- 5/5
The room was great. We love learning about the history of the home. Christy was awesome with telling us places to eat. She also told us of the best place to see the sunset, since part of the the parkway was closed.
- 5/5
It’s was a beautiful, cozy property. Location was great and rooms were comfortable.
- 5/5
The staff was helpful and nice. The Serenity Suite was perfectly clean, cozy and quiet. Nice Continental Breakfast. The homemade granola which was a nice touch, with many other choices.
- 5/5
Would definitely stay here again if we come back to Asheville in the future.
- 5/5
We had such a wonderful stay at the Cedar Crest Inn! Each room was so unique and the craftsmanship was incredible. The staff was so kind and helpful. We will definitely be back!
- 4/5
The staff were kind and professional with an impressive check-in procedure. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. This is an old home with all the charms and quirks. The fireplace area and porch were nice for hanging out. 24 hour access to coffee and tea. The location will be good once Biltmore Village is reopened. If you are used to a amenity rich hotel, this is not for you. You may be happier downtown in a traditional hotel. Downtown parking for restaurants and shopping was very inconvenient so a hotel there has it's advantages. Breakfast was the biggest disappointment. We splurged on this Inn and the breakfast was just oatmeal packets, hardboiled eggs, bread products and yogurt and fruit. I did appreciate the oat milk for the coffee. If you are looking for the charm of an older home, this is perfect for you.
- 5/5
The inn is beautiful! The historic details and charm of this inn are so impressive. Also the location near the Biltmore Estate and Biltmore Village is wonderful. The staff are lovely and helpful. Christy was amazing and an asset to the inn. We loved sitting by the gorgeous fireplaces in the living room and breakfast area. There is also a beautiful veranda porch with lots of sunshine to enjoy. Our room and bed was comfortable. We will be back to stay again!
- 4/5
Clean room, comfy bed.
- 4/5
The house is amazing and was so beautiful with the holiday lights and decorations. We were not able to stay for the breakfast as we went to meet family, and breakfast did not start until 8:30am ET. Check-in was fast and efficient, and the afternoon snack of coconut pecan cookies were amazing. My husband didn't find the bed particularly comfortable, but I thought it was fine.
- 5/5
Wonderful 1891 property filled with craftsmanship and a great overnight stay.
- 5/5
The owner was so gracious and tave me a toir. The large fireplace on the main floor is so cozy and romantic. Light refreshments and wine were a nice touch to the holiday
- 5/5
The staff was courteous and helpful. Kept the entire site immaculate and was very accommodating
- 5/5
Will definitely be back!
- 5/5
Nice place. Clean, charming and convenient to downtown Asheville.
- 5/5
Room was very clean and cozy. The staff was very cordial and pleasant. The house was beautiful with lots of dark wood interior.
- 5/5
Beautiful Inn, wonderful people and a comfortable bed
- 5/5
lovely in all regards
- 5/5
Fantastic stay. The staff were friendly, the house was what you would expect. I miss the real B&B's. Where you can sit and talk with the other guests and share your stories with each other. Certainly, a great place to do just that.
- 5/5
Clean. Comfortable. Great breakfast. Very close to The Biltmore Estate and convenient to shopping and restaurants.
- 5/5
Staff showed us great hospitality and the inn is historic and beautiful. We had a very comfortable room and really enjoyed the daily breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
This is what a B&B is supposed to be. We will be back.
- 4/5
Very clean and comfortable with pleasant staff.
- 5/5
Driveway is difficult to get in and out. The tower room has a bouncy, squeaky cot vs 2nd bed. There are no railings on the upper staircase. The staff is good and everything is clean.
- 5/5
Very nice woodwork, antiques, and stained glass in this 130 year old B&B. Christy was a fabulous hostess and had good stories to tell about the building, the city and the food they served.
- 5/5
Convenient parking right by the front door. We didn’t have breakfast there. Staff was polite and accommodating. The room was small, but fit our needs for a brief stay.
- 5/5
Liked the peaceful stay and the convenient location. Did not want to leave.
- 5/5
The staff was marvelous. We enjoyed them and the inn was an added trip back in time.
- 5/5
It had all the amenities that a solo traveller, like me, required.
- 5/5
Beautiful home, excellent staff, good location.
- 5/5
Staff was super friendly and helpful. Got our hopes up to see a bear, but no luck this time. We'll have to come back.
- 5/5
Nice and quiet B&B. Sue was very helpful and nice! The breakfast was light and perfect! The location was central for all things Biltmore without Biltmore prices! Loved our stay!
- 5/5
The staff was most helpful however we were placed on the third floor which was quite an effort to get the luggage up and down the stairs. I would suggest a personal phone call to the management prior to arriving to notify them of any special needs instead of booking through a third party such as Expedia. The food was excellent and I would highly recommend staying here.
- 5/5
The History of the place, the beauty of the grounds and porch, and the friendliness of the staff.
- 5/5
It was very comfortable and clean. Christy was very nice and helpful.
- 5/5
Wonderful hostess. Nice b&b
- 5/5
Charming property! Christy was a gracious hostess.
- 4/5
Two-night stay in Asheville specifically to tour Biltmore and visit with friends.
- 5/5
Beautiful Victorian home. Delightful breakfast. Warm, inviting staff.
- 5/5
This house is absolutely stunning! Original owner was friends with Vanderbilt and supposedly used some of the same craftsmen to build this home. The finish work is UN-BE-LIEVABLE! Beautiful and comfortable common areas, porch. Convenient parking for unloading, clean room, awesome inn-keeper.
- 5/5
Nice atmosphere. Clean, organized and well run. Rooms are quaint and cozy. Staff are super polite and courteous.
- 4/5
Would have preferred a walk-in shower. Beds and rooms were nicely done.
- 4/5
Our stay was very enjoyable and felt very safe. Christy was very welcoming and informative about the area
- 5/5
Beautiful building, comfortable room, helpful staff. All superb, as was the breakfast
- 5/5
Loved the antiques! The staff was very helpful with information about the area
- 5/5
A few small plumbing issues, but other than that, it was great! We didn’t take advantage of breakfast due to wanting to try local restaurants
- 5/5
Stunning old home with the most impressive woodwork we have ever seen. Sue was a fantastic host, advisor and guide on our visit in Asheville.
- 4/5
Needs more breakfast options. Inn keepers were very nice. Very pleasant, and easy on the eyes. Love the early 19th century look of the house! Cedar woodwork was fantastic.
- 5/5
Our first bed and breakfast experience and won’t be the last. Great property and well run
- 5/5
Beautiful place! We were close to everything, including The Biltmore. Staff were very helpful and courteous. Close to shopping and restaurants/breweries. Breakfast was simple and delicious.
- 1/5
This place is haunted and despite our discomfort , the property did not give a refund.
- 5/5
We would stay again :)
- 5/5
I’ve stayed here before. Get location and a very nice place. I’ll definitely return
- 5/5
Service and property were spectacular and would definitely stay again
- 5/5
I had an absolutely amazing time
- 5/5
Wonderful B&B, helpful staff, great breakfast. Nice location.

- 5/5
Great bed and breakfast! Rooms are very cute. The breakfast was delicious! Great location for Asheville and close to the Biltmore estate.
- 4/5
Bathtub only was inconvenient and not safe. Should install shower ring. Breakfast was sometimes good but once very meager and another time overly heavy. Too much sugar, not enough fruit.
- 5/5
Wonderful property. We stayed in the Serenity suite, with a separate sitting room and it's own verandah. The amenities were very nice: the spa tub luxurious; plenty of hot water; great towels. Bed was comfortable. Wasn't quite cool enough for the fireplace; but, I'm sure in the fall and winter, it will make this suite a truly romantic hideaway. The breakfasts were tasty and imaginative and very filling. We were very pleased with our stay and will plan to stay here the next time we travel to Asheville.
- 4/5
Lovely home. We stayed in the carriage house. Arthur the breakfast server was really the only person we interacted with and he was lovely. The breakfasts were lovely
- 5/5
Exquisite room, excellent staff, lovely breakfast.
- 5/5
The pink exterior for historic property !!
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay at this charming Victorian B&B, it was a memorable experience that will be cherished for years to come.
- 5/5
Beautiful, historic property which exquisite antique furnishings. Conveniently located, wonderful and friendly staff, and fantastic breakfast.
- 5/5
Loved the location and the cute setting! The room was clean and comfy and the staff was very accommodating. The door handle was loose, though, and should be fixed.
- 5/5
Area was clean and estate was beautiful.
- 5/5
I loved our Big porch ( Veranda)!! Everything looked great!!
- 5/5
The building was lovely
- 5/5
So charming! Service is lovely, the building is beautiful, and two courses of delicious breakfast out on the porch was a dream. A super quick drive to everything going on downtown, or a longer walk if you don't mind a good stroll. Would repeat this stay!
- 4/5
The property is lovely but as you would expect with a historic home it was missing some modern conveniences. There weren’t enough plug ins for all your electronic devices to charge by the bed. There is some signs of foundation issues and the room we stayed in was pretty small with the bathroom being a bit bigger than two phone booths. Overall it was charming but I was glad we only were staying one night.
- 5/5
Wonderful property. Delicious breakfasts are included and we really appreciate how the staff remembered our dietary restrictions and served us something delicious every day. Super convenient to some great downtown restaurants and Biltmore. Only down side is it's off a busy road--and you will hear traffic noise. But don't let that deter you.
- 5/5
Well located for a visit to Biltmore. A privilege to spend a couple days in this historic home.
- 5/5
What a beautiful Inn! Wish we were staying longer!
- 5/5
Service is excellent and the breakfast was the best ever!
- 5/5
Friendly staff and excellent service. Convenient location in Ashville to Biltmore, Downtown, and Blueridge Parkway.
- 5/5
Fantastic place with a fantastic staff! Everything was great!
- 5/5
We had a lovely stay! Our suite was so cozy and private and the building was beautiful. Breakfast was tasty. Also loved the location, so close to both downtown and the Biltmore, so very easy to get around. We will definitely be back!
- 4/5
although we arrived during the check-in period, prior to 6pm, there was no one to receive us. the instructions for entry left in the mailbox worked fine. We found the situation awkward, though.
- 5/5
Beautiful, charming, loved sitting by the fireplace on the evening, breakfast was amazing, fellow travelers were lovely. Comfortable, unique.
- 5/5
Very nice place to stay for the weekend! Staff was incredible!
- 5/5
What an amazing experience this was everything I was hoping for!
- 5/5
Great stay at the Cedar Crest Inn to celebrate our 42 Wedding Anniversary! Our breakfast was extra special as the chef made a spicy egg crepe for my hubby. He was very pleased. Also, a bottle of wine and kind note from our neighbor greeted us in our room. She had notified her friend who manages the Inn. Beautiful place!
- 3/5
There were pluses to our stay: very close to the Biltmore, very clean, and very accommodating staff. The negatives: very small bathroom with sink literally at the foot of the bed, room was not warm because the heat couldn't be adjusted. Very close to a busy hospital.
- 5/5
Charming unique. Friendly staff wonderful breakfast would stay there again
- 5/5
Amazing stay! The home is absolutely beautiful and takes you back in history. The staff was amazing and so kind. Breakfast amazing. If one complaint was the house was warm. Our room was amazing except for temperature which was too warm. We tried AC but just never kicked in. At night opened & slept with windows up to cool down. Other than that place classy and top notch.
- 5/5
The house was beautiful, the staff very friendly and the manager was quick to resolve a slight issue. Highly recommend if visiting Asheville.
- 5/5
Beautiful property. Wish we had stayed longer than one evening. Breakfast was delicious.
- 4/5
We stayed 3 nights and very much enjoyed. Beautiful place, well kept, clean and safe. The breakfast meals were delicious although the portions may be a little small for a lot of men. It’s in a very convenient location to access many things within a reasonable drive.
- 3/5
The house was beautiful as were the grounds and it is close to many places. I do recommend that if you want to stay here do not reserve tower room 8. The room is very noisy due to Biltmore road that sits below it. It is a heavily traveled road and there is a hospital by the property that compounds the noise level. It’s 3 flights of stairs to get up to that room also there are stairs to the bathroom in the room which are very loud when you walk on them. The bathroom only has a tub no shower which made it hard for my 6’2 husband. There are other rooms that are much better so choose those instead.
- 5/5
Morning breakfast was very good and original. Beds and sheets and pillows excellent! A little pricey but that whole area is because of The Builtmore!
- 5/5
Only possible downside is a lot of ambulance noise during the day. You are right next to the hospital.
- 5/5
Very nice place! Road and hospital noise was distracting though.
- 5/5
given the age. The beds were comfortable (I am picky due to a bad back), the towels were big and cozy, great TP, and the breakfasts …wow! The coffee was a fantastic local brand and each morning the breakfast was a two course delight of sweet and savory. The location was so convenient, the majority of our plans were within a 10-15min drive. Absolutely recommend!
- 5/5
Beautiful, unique and authentic property!
- 5/5
Breakfast was excellent for the 2 mornings we were there. Very courteous staff.
- 5/5
We spent 2 nights here for a quick getaway and loved everything about the Cedar Crest. I would stay here again and also recommend it to anyone looking for a historic and romantic place to stay in Asheville.
- 5/5
The breakfast is awesome. Substantial food with good taste and presentation.
- 5/5
The rooms all have a private bath (note - most have a beautiful pedestal or claw foot tub, but they have a few options for a stand alone shower, so if that is an issue, you have to look at the details or call for info). The patio was amazing at any time of the day. We had excellent choices for food (including a several Breweries) within a mile, it was very close to the entrance of The Biltmore, and only a couple of miles from the Greenway (walking/biking path along the river) and River Arts District. We really enjoyed our stay! Please note - there is no elevator, and most of the rooms are on the second or third floor, so please plan accordingly
- 5/5
It was absolutely beautiful!
- 5/5
The room was so perfect for a romantic getaway. Arthur was amazing and super nice. We left something behind in the room and he reached out to us immediately and told us. We were still local so he held onto it for us until we could get back to the Inn. The food, oh the food., was sooooo very good. Can't recommend this place enough. Close to everything and an easy drive into Asheville or to Biltmore.
- 5/5
Was a lovely experience. And the breakfasts and staff (Especially Arthur) were a pure luxury.
- 5/5
Very beautiful house and spacious. Close to hospital so sirens should be expected if noise is a concern. Food was delicious and most of the staff very friendly, only one seemed bored to be there, but she was cordial, but everyone else was just lovely! Would stay there again!
- 5/5
This was a great place to stay! Very pretty and charming and very comfortable. Inn staff was really friendly and made an amazing breakfast every day. Would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
The property is absolutely beautiful, and the staff was incredibly helpful In making our stay a wonderful experience. My new bride and I stayed there for our minimoon, and we both just fell in love with the place. Once again a big thank you to all of the hard working staff!
- 5/5
Stunning house with wonderfully creative breakfasts every morning. The bathroom had seen better days, but it was made up for by the sheer beauty of the place
- 5/5
Historic house with wonderful fireplaces. Breakfasts were great. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
- 5/5
Unique property wonderful staff
- 5/5
I loved the historic building. The breakfasts were yummy.
- 4/5
We loved our stay for my daughter's sweet sixteen birthday. The room was cozy and clean. Staff was really nice and the breakfast was amazing everyday. The only negative remark I would give isn't towards the house itself. The traffic was loud and busy outside of our room but it wasn't too bad at night. Overall excellent place for a memorable weekend.
- 5/5
So gorgeous. Loved every single thing about this stay, from the charm to the history to the lovely breakfasts by the fire…had like a whole wing…a hallway and private full bathroom with a second half bath and an exclusive side door…honestly cannot wait to go back.
- 5/5
The two-course breakfast was excellent. The staff was very kind.
- 5/5
All the amenities, laundry, coffee, full kitchen, perfectly peaceful bedroom. Wi-Fi and good apps on tv. Good water pressure! Breakfast is terrific. Staff is terrific. Immaculate! We love the cozy Stables Suite! Perfect stay. Thank you!
- 4/5
Beautiful property, very well kept, friendly staff. The only problem we had was that the power went out one night and was still out the next morning (obviously not the fault of the innkeeper), however, the "breakfast solution" was a small box of Dunkin Donuts holes and a few biscuits from Hardees. Of all the fine bakeries or grocery stores in Asheville, what they unapologetically came up with was unacceptable. There weren't even plates set out; certainly, the power outage didn't impact the dishes in their cupboard. Breakfast on the subsequent day was good and what one would expect from a B&B.
- 4/5
Cedar Crest Inn was a great place for us to stay for our weekend getaway. Our only real issue was the fact that you are less than a mile from the hospital so, every single time an ambulance went by, it was loud and would wake us up. Other than that, the room was beautiful, the staff was amazing and the food was delicious.
- 5/5
I definitely want to visit again to enjoy the outside space and gardens. The staff were friendly and attentive!
- 5/5
Beautiful old home. Excellent linens & bedding. Cookies! Delicious breakfast catered to your dietary needs.
- 5/5
Our stay was beautiful and everything we could have hoped for
- 5/5
Beautiful place. Comfortable bed. Great breakfast.
- 4/5
Hosts were very nice, and breakfast served was outstanding. Our suite room was excellent.
- 5/5
The little touches like tea/coffee/cookies were amazing. And breakfast was absolutely delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive.
- 5/5
There is not much that will get me out of bed early on a vacation weekend, but breakfast both mornings was absolutely worth the trip downstairs. The exterior is currently under a bit of renovation, but the interior is every bit the match for some of the coziest spots in the nearby Biltmore Estate. Not great for folks that can't do stairs because there are a number of them. But if you can manage that, and you're looking for a warm, comfortable spot to spend a winter weekend in Asheville, NC, you really ought to give this place a try.
- 5/5
From the moment we arrived and Sue checked us in, we felt graciously welcomed. She showed us how to operate the fireplace in case we wanted to enjoy the common spaces after she left then showed us to our room. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast that was included was delicious. The inn is very close to Biltmore and walking distance to Biltmore Village. We will definitely be back for a longer stay!
- 5/5
Delightful venue close to everything i
- 5/5
Beautiful place to stay. Friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious! It was very clean. I did not take into consideration the number of stairs and accessibility for all in my party. This and the traffic noise were the only drawbacks. It was a gorgeous place and I would stay again if traveling with different people in my party. Lovely Victorian home!
- 5/5
Wonderful B&B in a historic old house. The rooms were comfortable and the staff was pleasant and attentive. The interior architecture is original to the 1890s. We have stayed several times.
- 5/5
Beautiful property and attentive staff.
