The hotel is beautiful but the staff leaves much to be desired. We got 2 rooms for 6 nights, spent money at the restaurant, overnight parking, room service, and yet they refused to ship a small item we left behind (housekeeping took it by mistake) unless we paid a $25 shipping fee. I’m disappointed by their poor customer service at the front desk. All other staff was good.

We were very pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was, and all staff we interacted with were very accommodating and helpful.

Loved everything! Wish the sheets were just a little softer but no real issue!

Lovely hotel, convenient restaurant, location was ideal for our day at the Biltmore. The red stag isn’t yet back to the quality of staff and food from before the storm, but it’s still a lovely and convenient aspect of the lodge .

Stay is always nice. Beautiful property, i'm really comfortable to stay at. If they had a pool, that would be wonderful, they keep saying they're planning one.But that hasn't happened yet. Location is great. It's right across from the entrance to built.More estate is part of built more village. Lots of dining and shopping are in a short walk and even a short drive away. Redstag restaurant inside is superb. It is a higher end restaurant, so it's gonna be pricey. But was well worth the price. The red stag bar is really nice. The property has some very inviting fireplaces right in the center right across from the check in area.Very comfortable to relax and just chill out for a little bit. Having your car ready when you need to leave to go on.Errands or leaving the property is quite fast. Very nice place to stay on the higher end.But still, far less than some of the more upscale places in town.

Friendly staff, very clean rooms. Make sure when you book you clarify what type of room you want (tub, balcony, etc) . We didn’t specify because we booked online, and we were given a non tub room when we wanted a tub room. The staff made the change for us, no problem, which was great!

Unfortunately, Biltmore Village is not fully recovered. The room was not cleaned while we were out most of the day.
- 5/5
Breakfast was amazing!
- 5/5
Beautiful property and very close to Biltmore Estate.
- 1/5
Our stay was not great. Valet parking only and not included. No on street parking at all. Tiniest fridge I have ever seen. No microwave. Strong musty odor in our dark room with no opportunity to change to a comparable room and penalized if we left the hotel. Expedia attempted negotiate with the hotel to allow us to leave but the hotel hung up on them twice.
- 5/5
Great service, clean, nice bar/restaurant
- 4/5
all was good
- 5/5
The property is in pristine condition! There are still a lot of places that haven't rebuilt after Helene. It seemed that only the big franchise names were open for business. Most of the surrounding is under construction, but it's coming back strong2
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel with great drinks and food. Stone’s throw from the Biltmore.
- 5/5
Room was great, the staff was very friendly, greeting us with a glass of prosecco. Look forward to spending time there again.
- 5/5
Outstanding in all respects. Particularly the staff.

Excellent stay. We enjoyed the spa with the best therapeutic massage ever. The staff were friendly and always helpful. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud.

Hotel is clean , charming and cozy. It is perfectly located and the staff are courteous , professional and impeccably dressed I might add. Dining at the Red Stag was a memorable experience , very relaxed , exquisite cuisine and friendly service. A definite must !
- 5/5
Overall, all services, cleanliness, and staff were exceptional.
- 5/5
When you take a getaway for a special weekend, I highly recommend the grand Bohemian Asheville the staff the accommodations. Everything was top-notch. The food was exquisite. They even had an amenity waiting for our dog, a beautiful bed, dog bowls, a little kerchief, and she was treated just like a Vip. Ms. Bennett, Juliana the red stag grill Alicia everyone treated us like we were VIP’s.

Beautiful property
- 5/5
Clean room, great location
- 4/5
Beautiful property but the area surrounding is under construction from hurricane Helene. Once construction is complete, the area would be 4 stars.
- 5/5
Had a lovely stay here! Excellent dinner menu and cocktails, staff was helpful and pleasant.
- 5/5
The bed was so comfortable. The soap & lotion was great!
- 5/5
We had a magnificent stay!!
- 5/5
My husband and I stayed here and wow..what a gorgeous hotel. Our room was very large clean and quiet. We enjoyed the cozy lobby with a cocktail at night and breakfast was very good. We will definitely stay here again! ❤️
- 5/5
Upon arrival I was greeted by the very kind and informative front desk fellows. The Lobby has extremely unique decor which reminds me of a hunting cabin. The restaurant and gift shop are all very close to the lobby and check in area. The room was spacious and nice. I very much enjoyed dinner in the main restaurant with an excellent server and excellent food. You can count on this restaurant. Coffee in the morning was great and I do appreciate this hotel, mostly due to the five star quality staff. It's a special experience and I will be back again.
- 5/5
2 nd night in restaurant not as good S the first but the manager came over and was extremely nice and helpful
- 5/5
Could use a sundry shop. Mainly loco wear and jewelry
- 5/5
Everything was great. The hotel is beautiful
- 5/5
My wife and I loved this hotel. Right at the front entrance to Biltmore which is why we came to Asheville. Staff were nice and professional. The food there was excellent. We really enjoyed the room. We will stay here again.
- 2/5
Would not recommend and possibly it could improve but right now the area is incredibly noisy and the hotel sits right in the middle of construction zone. WE tried 2 different rooms. AC is out in room. We selected this hotel since it had a EV charger—EV charger not working. This was a major issue and I’m not certain staff recognized this since we were offered only a bottle of wine for our inconvenience. If you’ve ever stressed over power and paying extra at EV Go you understand when a hotel promises 3 EV locations, one should be operable
- 5/5
Absolutely beautiful property. Walking distance to Biltmore entrance and shopping
- 5/5
I love this hotel....Everyhing is perfect including the food...
- 5/5
Gorgeous!
- 5/5
Premium bedding. Big bathtub. Wonderful staff. Clean. House car for local transportation. Excellent cuisine for dinner and very good breakfast too. Had a superb oxygen GLO facial in spa with Chloe. Across street from Biltmore Village and entrance to Biltmore Estate.
- 5/5
We were in Asheville to tour the Biltmore. The Grand Bohemian is a minute from the entrance to the property. The hotel is beautiful and comfortable. The hotel restaurant, The Red Stagg is amazing! Every staff member that we met were friendly and professional! Hope to visit again!

- 5/5
What a gorgeous hotel! Enjoyed my stay!
- 5/5
Fantastic all around. We stay in great hotels all over-this was top notch.
- 5/5
Great location for seeing the Biltmore
- 3/5
I called the front desk desk to see if this was normal and was told no. This made me and my girlfriend feel that this may have been an attempt to break in to our room. We left a day early. I would not recommend this place and won’t be back.
- 3/5
VERY disappointed with Red Stag dining from the room. I called the restaurant to make an order and they advised me at the restaurant for take out they coulnt take an order it had to go through the hotel front desk? They did take my simple order - mashed potatoes and a mac and cheese. They screwed up and gave me 2 potatoes even with the receipt saying what i had ordered. I was told when i called in my order that it would be a long wait...for potatoes?! Wasnt a horrible wait. BUT when they had to correct the order it took 15 minutes for mac and cheese to be corrected. At firsr at the restaurant they said they DIDNT TAKE CASH?!? But she was wrong and they did but had to wait 10min for change and when they brought my change they shorted me $1. When i pointed it out the lady asked "do you really want your $1"....i just left unsatisfied with the service there. A year ago we ate lunch there and were but 1 other table there that day and waited almost an hour for a burger!
- 5/5
Great hotel! Fun bar area. Very friendly and accommodating staff!
- 5/5
Service was excellent, rooms were very comfortable.
- 5/5
The property is unique and special. The staff is very attentive.
- 5/5
Staff and facility were great. Red Stag restaurant was pricey but had excellent food. My only complaint was no microwave in the room.
- 5/5
By far the greatest hotel we’ve ever stayed at. The red stag restaurant was amazing ( try the grits). The staff was fantastic and soo helpful, I can’t recommend enough. Thank you grand bohemian, you made our vacation.
- 3/5
Great staff and great service! Love the valet! The staff made everything super easy. My only complaint is the noise from the street outside. Got absolutely NO sleep because every hour a train would come through. But it IS right in the middle of downtown, so next time I’ll probably book a space away from the city
- 5/5
Gorgeous hotel very close to Biltmore
- 5/5
Staff was delightful. The hotel is a remarkable experience of old world class. Hotel is steps from the entrance to the Biltmore estate. We had a beautiful stay
- 5/5
Great management !
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel. We took advantage of the spa there-wonderful! Everyone was very nice and accommodating. We were wowed at the whole experience and will certainly come again
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel! With great staff, but a bit dangerous driving into and out of the parking garage onto the streets.
- 3/5
“Nicer” executive room just ok- sofa needs to be tossed…dust hanging off wall. Had to call to get room cleaned first day.Tacky artwork for sale in narrow hallways. Valet guys are super polite and nice.
- 5/5
Dinner at The Red Stag was unfortunately terrible. Long ticket time combined with lack of management presence. When the food came out the bisque was cold and the pork chop was overcooked. We will be back to stay but not to dine.
- 5/5
The customer service was impeccable, the art display created an old-world atmosphere, and the room was homey and organized down to the last minute detail.
- 5/5
Complimentary champagne on checkin and proximity to Biltmore makes this one of our favorite places to stay in Asheville. We love it!
- 5/5
Perfect place to stay for Biltmore Christmas tour. Very romantic getaway. Wonderful. Like being offered champagne upon check-in made the weekend very special.
- 5/5
Very beautiful property and everyone was so nice.
- 5/5
Great hotel with wonderful restaurant on site. We return every time we are in Asheville.
- 5/5
Wonderful eclectic hotel with a fantastic dining option ( Red Stag ) and easily walkable location to shopping/dining. Beautiful room and amenities. Lovely artwork. A favorite boutique hotel!
- 5/5
Staff was exceptionally wonderful, the service at the restaurant awesome, Kylie from Minnesota is a terrific waitress. This place is an experience.
- 4/5
The hotel is beautiful. Parking is awkward. There are 2 separate buildings with rooms, which is mentioned in the description but it is not specified in the reservation which building you will be in. Had to pay for an upgrade to be in main building. The beds were very comfortable. Valet are polite, but luggage not delivered to room in a timely manner. My husband had to go get it. Restaurant is fabulous. Overall the hotel is nice, but I’ve stayed in less expensive hotels that offered the same, if not better experiences. For a one night stay, drinks before dinner and dinner for 4, my bill was almost $1800.00
- 5/5
Entire experience was fantastic! Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Great location. Friendly staff.
- 2/5
I’ve been coming here and other Kessler properties for years. I booked a “King room” that I was accustomed, then was sent “across the street” This was a “bait and switch”. Tiny sink, micro fridge (that doesn’t hold a single bottle of wine), no tub and no bathroom door?!?!? All contrary to my previous stays and the photos shown on the Expedia booking page. If this is how a loyal customer is treated, I’m done with this property and will think twice before booking with Kessler, again.
- 5/5
The dining experience wasn’t the best, but the overall hotel is GORGEOUS and like being in an art gallery/hunting lodge all at the same time. The woodwork inside is gorgeous and the large soaking tub in our room a major plus. They provide a driver and car service so you can save your $$ on Ubering around which was major for us. Would definitely stay here again. Complimentary champagne at check in reminded me of previous resort experiences I’ve had.
- 5/5
In great location. Pet Friendly too
- 5/5
Great service!
- 5/5
Always a great spot
- 5/5
The front desk staff was so nice and accommodating. Made checking in so easy through an e-mail and we’re able to get me in my room early. Overall an amazing experience
- 5/5
I liked that when we arrived the valet service came and took our luggage and told us not to worry they would deliver it to our room. Also I loved the fact that when we checked in we were offered something to drink. The room was excellent. There was no complants about our stay there it was excellent.
- 1/5
Too pricey
- 4/5
The stated square footage of our king room was comperable to most standard rooms, but seemed cramped. You had to sit on the bed to be comfortable if hanging out in your room for any length of time.
- 5/5
Stayed for a couple of nights with my wife while celebrating our 35th anniversary. Wonderful property close to downtown and literally across the the street from the Biltmore entrance. Staff, property and location were all perfect.
- 2/5
Excellent overall except for the booking and billing. I booked a room with a balcony from Expedia - the room I got did not have a balcony. I gave the front desk my card for incidentals when I checked in and I got a notice from the card that it registered the transaction- I later had to complete another form w all of my information again to complete the process.
- 5/5
Wonderful design and decor.
- 5/5
The ambiance and decor were amazing at this hotel.
- 4/5
A very nice and enjoyable stay
- 5/5
Amenities were not great.
- 5/5
food quality at restaurant was disappointing
- 5/5
Very nice hotel with good restaurant. Traffic noise somewhat high.
- 5/5
Beautiful property, comfortable bed and accommodating staff. We love staying here!
- 5/5
Lovely stay at this gorgeous property. Fantastic food and service at the restaurant, Red Stag Grill. We had the bison short ribs and the NZ elk. Ending the meal with a cheese board and a gorgeous glass of port. Will definitely be back!
- 2/5
Beautiful property, however, I did not like the pillows in the room...they were too large cocking your neck from the mattress. I also did not like the covers...they were too thin. There was no other covers in the closet to add to the bed. I like a room that is cool 69/70 with heavier covers. I this room I had to increase the temp of room to 73 to be warm but I found this to be uncomfortable. Just sayin.

This place is a gem! Absolutely gorgeous, super clean and spectacular service. Would highly recommend!
- 4/5
The dinners were pricey and food not very warm and steaks undercooked. Breakfast was very good though and reasonably priced. We stayed at the Manor House across the street from main hotel and it would have been nice to have had help carrying our luggage as there was no bellhop. Overall it was a nice stay for the Christmas season.
- 5/5
Great atmosphere. Very friendly.
- 5/5
I enjoyed the property.
- 4/5
1. The beds aren’t very comfy 2. The hostess in the restaurant where we ate breakfast didn’t have a very pleasant demeanor, but our waitress made up for their shortfall. She was amazing. Overall well worth the trip and we will be going back!
- 4/5
Couple getaway for a weekend, enjoyed the property. Comfy bed, poor lighting in room. Nice shower. Nice amenities. Expensive overnight valet parking! Pleasant spa, and we liked the location. Cool decor.
- 5/5
We loved this weekend getaway and birthday celebration. Room was amazing, food in the restaurant top notch and the service over the top - we will be coming back to this one.
- 2/5
The bathroom in Room 208 is terrible... The Sink & the Tub do not drain properly..... I had 8 inches of water in the tub in 2 minutes with the drain wide open.... It's hard to brush your teeth when you are looking at the sink backing up.... There is no ventilation fan in the bathroom.... Over-all our stay was terrible, and more especially at a rate of close to $500.00 plus dollars a night......
- 5/5
Great, modern hotel located directly across from the Biltmore Village. If you’re looking for an ideal location, this is it. Plus, restaurant located here is excellent.
- 3/5
The room I received was not as expected. I was put in a handicapped accessible room. I was on a birthday trip with my husband and would have liked the room I requested. Additionally, we spent $50 just on parking for one night. There is nowhere public to park so you do not have any other option than valet from what I could tell. The hotel didn’t have common space. There is a tiny lobby but that’s it. The restaurant was cute but food was just okay. I wasn’t impressed for the price of this hotel.
- 5/5
Need to improve the lighting everywhere. Too dark in both common areas and in rooms.
- 5/5
The staff were tremendous
- 5/5
Daughter and I stayed for a couple nights and LOVED it! The room was impeccable, beds super comfy, a/c perfect (we like to sleep very chilly) and location perfect. Valet fast and nice guys. Front desk staff very friendly and always offered us water, which we greatly appreciated!
- 5/5
Friendly, welcoming staff! Upon arrival, enjoyed a glass of sparkling wine and we were delighted that our room was ready early!
- 5/5
Distinctive style with an upscale feel. Service from check in to check out was friendly, prompt and proactive. Room was spacious and well appointed. Downtown Asheville is close by and there are many attractions very close by the property. I am recommending to friends and family
- 5/5
Accommodations were more than adequate and the staff was helpful and very friendly.
- 4/5
This is a beautiful hotel located in a noisy area. Trains and traffic kept waking me up. However, the employees are top notch and could not have done more to make my stay nicer. Rooms are well appointed and clean.
- 1/5
Never stay here if you can avoid it. Situated between a McDonalds and a parking lot, busy intersections surround you. Awful staff. Absolute nightmare. We left after only being there a few hours and went to a different hotel
- 4/5
We felt the rooms were not as clean to the previous stays that we have been at th bohemian. Good was excellent and staff very accommodating. We will come again
- 3/5
We arrived to town early and I was calling to ask if an earlier check in was available, it was not. Which wasn’t a problem as there is plenty to do in Asheville. The problem was after being redirected from a friendly recording to the front desk I was greeted by a bothered “hello”. Umm? Am I still on line with The Grand Bohemian? The gentleman, Chip, JD, and Michael at the bar is what saved our stay and my boyfriends birthday…otherwise the price of these rooms compared to the service we received did not go hand in hand. Next time I will stay somewhere else and just come to visit the bar, I suggest you do the same.
- 5/5
After a busy day, our room was always refreshed and taken care of. Wished that parking was free.....
- 3/5
For starters, the decor is kitschy and the property is akin to something you'd find at Disneyland: themed, dated, and made for the masses. There's nothing wrong with a Disneyland hotel, but let's agree that it's meant for a specific demographic. The most egregious thing this hotel has done is to intermingle SEVERAL pictures of the Biltmore Estate into its gallery, creating the impression for first-time visitors (as it did for me) that those gorgeous grounds are part of the property when in fact they are not. Instead, the property is practically in a strip mall with no outdoor space, a crappy steakhouse / we make everything (average) restaurant onsite, and nothing to do nearby except shop for yoga pants and artisanal gifts. Its saving grace is the Starbucks across the street which is one of the friendliest Starbucks locations I've ever been to. If the nightly stay were priced at ~$300, it would be appropriate. But I paid more than double that and I don't think I will ever recover emotionally from such poor decision-making.
- 5/5
Super great staff, great location, great room and the hotel itself was a great experience!
- 5/5
Great rooms and decor Great staff
- 5/5
The property is as beautiful and different as it looks in pictures. Loved the vibe! The staff was very friendly and ready to help!
- 5/5
A wonderful place to stay! Top tier!
- 5/5
Everything is unique about this property. There are unique pieces of art in every corner. Unique art lines every hallway. Rustic, chic and elegant. I’d visit all of them!
- 5/5
Get to the bar food is great but Ken makes the meal!!!!
- 5/5
Super clean and beautifully decorated for our quick mountain getaway! Loved the lobby withbthe 4 sided fireplace to sit around and have a drink. The staff was so friendly and quick to help with everything. I also enjoyed the welcome glass of champagne!!
- 5/5
We had a lovely stay overall and would return. The bar/ breakfast area was exceptional and we really enjoyed it. Our only complaint, which could have happened anywhere, was a very loud TV/Music situation right under our room until 1:30 in the morning. I slept through it but my husband did not.
