This is an inexpensive motel without many of the amenities I expect, including an ice machine. My room was cool and there were no extra blankets.

This is a great economical alternative to chain motels. It was very clean, affordable and convenient.

You will go far and not find a cleaner room or property.

Upon check in I was asked for ID and whether or not I had a pet. $20 pet fee, and no conversation about any amenities... leaving no clue abt wireless nor was there anything else such as coffee or snacks for the AM. This is a solid 3 place to stay. The saving grace is Caldera Brewpub walking distance down the road.
- 5/5
Easy parking. Next to freeway. Close to Shakespeare festival.
- 5/5
Extremely clean. Comfortable bed and comfortable cute bedding. Small, but efficient room with mini fridge, microwave, and desk. Great water pressure and flow made for an excellent shower. Location was ideal. Close to the freeway and walking distance to a few different restaurants.

This is a great pet friendly place to stay when your passing through town. Lowest pet fee I've found and the room was perfect for the night. The family that runs the hotel is nice and they've done great renovations. The beds are comfortable and the shower was hot. I wouldn't stay here for more than a night, the rooms are just too small and the highway too close, but I will be staying again next time I pass through. It was also a good place to walk a dog.

Good Good Location
- 2/5
Good location, pet friendly TV remote didn’t work and they couldn’t fix it. Was stuck on one channel. Shower drain wasn’t draining, AC unit very loud. Family that owned hotel was lurking constantly and made you feel unwelcome. They really don’t give you privacy and was knocking on doors hours before check out pushing you to leave. I would not stay there again.

Limited breakfast
- 3/5
Air conditioner in the room struggled to cool the room down. Television didnt work.
- 0.5/5
Bathroom smelled like urine and sewage.
- 5/5
Check-in was quick, easy and relaxed. The room was recently renovated and was clean and comfortable. It was compact but spacious, well stocked and finely furnished. There was a coffee stand at the Mobil gas station next door, great gas prices too. Overall this hotel is great and affordable and I highly recommend the Relaxed Inn. Cheers.

I liked the location and the staff was friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
They were great! Let me check in late at night/ early morning no card down paid cash at the office. Easy and quick no hassle.
- 5/5
The people working there are very kind and helpful. I saw someone from the motel handing a christmas gift to the man driving the garbage truck as i was leaving. This is the second time I have stayed, I recommend this motel.
- 5/5
Room was spotlessly clean, if a bit tired around the edges. Very helpful staff when I couldn't get my door to open. She made a new card and followed me to my room to make sure I got in. Would have been faster and easier if she had shared that I needed to leave the card in the door, new system to me.
- 5/5
The rooms are clean, everything worked, the price was right, very inexpensive.
- 5/5
Nitpicking: 1. No peephole at the door. 2. Combo AC/Heater was LOUD and blew right on the bed (and in your face). 3. Water was very loud. Every time another tenant used it you'd have to turn your TV up to drown it out. 4. Hot water was good, but it took several minutes to warm up. Again, though, I was able to blow these things off given the low rate I got. It was a good stay.
- 5/5
Great family owned experience
- 4/5
The place was great the female staff were very friendly. The man however acted very strange when he saw my dog in the morning as if it was an abomination. I only booked this place because it was dog friendly. Fortunately, he didn’t say anything to me about it.
- 5/5
Loved loved the staff she was sweet informative and just an all around joy to have done business with highly recommended stay Great place.
- 3/5
This is a cute motel and very clean with everything you need but it’s very tiny for 3 people. The breakfast was cookies, sugar muffins, apples and bananas. Even the young boy that checked us in said it wasn’t much of a breakfast.
- 3/5
The linens and bedsheets had so much bleach they burned my skin. I had to actually put plastic over them to sleep on the bed
- 4/5
Pet friendly. Instructions on the AC would be a good idea as it kept turning off until we realized there was a remote and my husband played with the controls. We have a small dog so it was perfect. If you have a big dog it might be a very tight fit! Good budget motel next to an excellent coffee shop and a texmex restaurant. All within walking distance and they had an out door table so you can bring your dog
- 5/5
This is a family owned and run hotel. They are friendly and very personable. I stay there to support small family business. Every time I visit I am greeted personally as they know me. They continually upgrade and improve the property. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Stayed here while visiting Crater Lake during Labor Day weekend. Place is small and it was clean. It’s right off I5 and a few mins away from downtown.
- 4/5
The room was very clean and everything was in good working order. However, the room was exceptionally small. It was very cramped for the two of us. The hanging rack was high on the wall and you would have to crawl over the bed to reach it. Not very convenient. But it was a decent place to stay for our visit in Ashland.
- 5/5
Small, quiet, bright, clean dog-friendly room. One-story motel. Next door to a good Mexican food restaurant with a dog-friendly patio.
- 5/5
Thank you for a great experience!
- 4/5
Great low cost venue for Ashland, OR
- 5/5
The rooms are pretty small & the amenities few. It was like walking back in time, but with a well-appointed room. The price is right, the area safe, & places to eat nearby. It was everything we needed.
- 5/5
Zzzzzzz
- 4/5
Overall, good stopover spot. Simple, clean, right off the I-5. The only detail I was a little bummed about was the "breakfast". I had read reviews about a nice continental breakfast with fresh fruit, but, in reality, it was only carafe coffee and blah bagels/cream cheese. Nonetheless, would stay again.
- 4/5
Older property with openings when the festival was very busy.
- 5/5
Easy to find. Young man at front desk very polite and helpful. Quiet area, comfortable bed and good air conditioning.
- 3/5
It was a small room, ac didn’t really work otherwise it was fine
- 2/5
It’s located right off the freeway so very convenient and close to many good eating places. However, the bed is not a queen size and told her that I actually measured it because we have a queen at home. She just responded that all the beds are that size. Room size is also very small. I would have paid extra for two double beds or it would have been nice to get some kind of compensation. Then, it’s summer and they only have a small counter top ice maker. Breakfast was okay. Overall, The property is clean. We would not return even if the price is the lowest in the area. We would rather pay more at the other hotels in the area. Ashland is beautiful and had great walk in the neighborhood next to the hotel area.
- 2/5
While the location and price contributed to our decision to book here, the room was very small and the AC unit was extremely loud. This prompted us to leave at 5am the next morning.
- 4/5
It was a great place at a great price for a very short stay with our dog. The room was small but we didn't mind. It was clean and comfortable. We were able to put our food in the fridge for the night and there was a small ice maker in the lobby we used to make a small ice pack for our lunch. The freash fruit and delicious pastries for brakfast was just right. It was easy off and on I-5, also.
- 5/5
Easy check in, friendly staff, clean.
- 5/5
They are always nice and friendly. This is a family run hotel. Their teenage son helps at the font desk with a smile. Good people. They are always improving the location. I highly recommend this motel.
- 5/5
The room was small however very clean and newly remodeled. The staff was very friendly and helpful and took pride in their property. The beds were very comfortable & we enjoyed our stay very much.
- 5/5
This is a great place to stay while in Ashland. It is a great value and very clean and friendly. I personally liked the cozy smaller room as it had everything I could need, including a desk, fridge, microwave, etc. I liked that I could choose to have the AC blow less or more as well. I liked the beautiful mountain picture over the bed, and the white comforter. Overall very nice and affordable place to stay in town.
- 5/5
so clean
- 4/5
Very small and clean. No smoke detector in our room
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly. They have a small grab-n-go breakfast in the motel office: Coffee, orange juice, pastries, and yogurt. It's also a dog friendly motel. If you need a clean, quiet, budget friendly room, I highly recommend Relax Inn!
- 5/5
Great customer service, very clean, comfortable bed.
- 3/5
It’s a nice place to stay if you just need somewhere to lay your head for a night. Nothing fancy, very small room, but it did its job. Friendly staff!
- 5/5
The room was clean, I did not get breakfast it was put up to quick
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
Room was pretty small but adequate and clean for me and my two young sons. We also liked walking to the Oak restaurant nearby for breakfast. All in all, not too bad at all!
- 5/5
Good place. Super quiet. Small fee for my dog to stay. Also great coffee shop right to it. Super fiendly owner who has been managing it for 25 years etc. Very friendly people and town. Place was clean and also theres a Mexican restaurant right next to hotel. I didnt get to eat there but convenient. Also theres beautiful view from your room overlooking highway. Its a simple hotel and close Shaekspeare festival etc in short drive
- 3/5
Small room. Comfy bed. Could be cleaner. Fine for a quick overnight stay. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
We like that it’s located on a culdesac, because it’s a nice quiet street for a walk after dinner. There are several restaurants within walking distance: El Paraiso has great food, margaritas and ambiance. Caldera Brewery also has great food, beer, etc. Across the boulevard is the Ashland Hills resort which has Luna Cafe. We’ve been staying at Relax Inn for several years now.
- 1/5
Smelled bad and the water from the shower came out yellow. Therefore, we did not shower and ended up leaving the place
- 4/5
Very clean with comfortable bed. Easy off the freeway, plenty of parking. Owner/operator were very helpful.
- 4/5
We have been coming to this motel for several years. It’s not a high end place, but it’s clean, quiet and close to several restaurants and other amenities.
- 1/5
Nothing they're rude and just want your money. So I lost my id and I reserved with my card had the booking number and all. They said the person I was with could not use their id and I was burnt and they did this after I could cancel and get my refund . Not too mention I purchased the free cancellation and insurance . $85 down the drain no refund if I do it'll be 7-10 business days ..... I've got to wait so didn't have any extra cash to get another rm for the night so I froze in my car all night.. they're awful have no care or concern and are rude as hell!! They only care about money. Totally not personable at all!
- 2/5
The towels were old basicly almost rags discolored from age, but clean. I would not recommend it or stay there again.however, the shower was hot no blankets but heat
- 3/5
It’s small and unassuming but it was quiet, good mattress, clean, convenient off of freeway and inexpensive. Bathroom could be redone with better shelving for shaving kit

People outside looking in our window. No coffee in room. Virtually no amenities in room except a microwave. But the room was very clean.
- 5/5
This is a great value tucked on a side street just off the 5 freeway. It is run by a local family who takes great pride in keeping the property: safe, neat, clean and even planted flowers...!. The family is friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
This quaint hotel is just off the 5 Freeway and I highly recommend it to the value traveler. The family that runs this property do a great job. It is Quiet, Safe and Convenient. There is a great deal of pride of ownership here from the family.
- 5/5
This is a Family Run Inn, they are always welcoming. Great value and convenient location right off the 5 Freeway. The property has been renovated and updated. I go out of my way to stay here to support them. Thanks.

Eventually were able to work out between office and Expedia to refund the second night (cancelled due to change in plans, not anything wrong with motel). "Free breakfast" options were OK, but meager

My partner found the mattress too hard. There was no ice machine
- 5/5
This is a older property but is well maintained. The proprietors were helpful. There is plenty of hot water!
- 3/5
It was quiet, beds were good and lots of hot water . Great view of two gas stations. Good location 10 min from DT Ashland And close to grocery, stores, restaurants. It was fine. I didn’t visit Ashland to hang out at the motel and you shouldn’t either! There is do much to do in Ashland!

Relax Inn Ashland OR. is a great value. Good convenient location just off the 5 Fwy. This is a family owned & operated Inn. The family is hands on do a great job keeping the location looking fresh and welcoming. I have stayed there many times. Kindly support this locally owned and family run hotel, I drive an extra 40 miles to stay here rather than in Yreka CA.
- 5/5
This is a nice family run hotel. Basic amenities at a good price. The owner lives on the property and is a great guy very helpful.
- 5/5
Thanks
- 5/5
A special shoutout to the staff for taking the time to reachout ship some clothes that was left behind - most hotels wouldn't bother to do any of that. It's the little touches that make a difference.
- 5/5
Wonderful family owned and run motel. It’s an older motel but they keep the rooms and premises very clean. Worth a stay.
- 4/5
Very attractive motel--convenient location in Ashland. The room is small but nice and has a microwave and fridge. The bathroom, too, is small but has a tub/shower. The price is affordable, relative to other Ashland motels/hotels. Definitely recommend for a night or two.
- 5/5
Came down to Ashland for a play... as one does... and we used this nice place for a base for two days. It was a great deal for the money. Not a huge room but certainly very nice and clean and especially a great place to just crash after a day of exploring Ashland.
- 4/5
We like the price, it’s within walking distance of 3 restaurants, and easy access to the freeway. It’s a quiet place. The bed and towels are always clean but the floors need more attention.
- 5/5
The Staff were kind and friendly. Very helpful.
- 3/5
So dirty! The bottom of my feet were black from walking around the room for less than an hour, not entirely sure the sheets had been changed either
- 5/5
They are affordable, clean, comfortable and convenient for what we want to do in the area.
- 5/5
So.e wonderful host. Very friendly and helpful
- 5/5
Very nice family run small business. The family is very friendly and eager to provide a quality experience to the traveler. I appreciate their efforts and top-notch customer service attitude.
- 3/5
The bathroom was not clean--while it reeked of chlorine, there was a bloody fingerprint on the shower tile. The room was minimal but not bad. Small tv. Minifridge was noisy all night. Bed was firm. For $100 per night, Ashland offers nicer places.
- 3/5
clean, quiet, Pretty awful decor. but fine
- 2/5
Dumpy hotel, dead bolt didn’t even work, and the staff barely spoke English. I slept on top of the covers, surrounding area was sketchy.
- 2/5
Did not answer the phone. Finally did hours later, did not talk loud enough to be heard. Room was run down, needed paint and updates. No coffee available. neighborhood was sketchy.
- 5/5
OVERALL SATISFIED CUSTOMER!
- 4/5
It was central and convenient. Room was fine for the price.
- 1/5
There were pubic hairs in my bed sheets and brown water that came out of the bathtub. I could not sleep that evening because I was disgusted by the condition of the room.
- 4/5
The Relax Inn was an ok place to stay. The room was clean and it served its purpose. The manager was friendly. The only thing negative was the hot water in the bathroom sink took at least 10 minutes to warm up and the bed wasn’t very comfortable.
- 4/5
The bathroom was a little dirty.
- 5/5
Great basic motel. Next to a fantastic Mexican restaurant. The heater in the room works well. But it is loud.
- 2/5
Not a good stay
- 4/5
Good price for clean room.
- 4/5
My decision to stay was made on short notice and I was pleasantly surprised on the comfort of the room and the friendly staff.
- 5/5
Clean, easy, had what we needed, quiet, good night’s sleep. Had to ring the bell twice for an 11pm arrival as the resident clerk was sleeping. No smile or kind words at that hour, but check in was easy and smooth. Would stay here again next time.
- 3/5
Very basic but had a mini fridge and microwave
- 3/5
The room was clean but sparsely supplied. We wanted a cheap room because we were planning on staying in Southern California for a few weeks. They only had a small refrigerator and no coffee. The soap was awful. Some cheap brand. I don’t think Expedia should ever reccomend this hotel.
- 3/5
It was clean & comfortable bed
- 4/5
My stay was good. Okay was there for one night and it was quiet and convenient to downtown and adjacent to the interstate.
- 5/5
New facility at PDX. Very helpful staff person. Easy in easy out
- 3/5
The owner was rude and I have never had to check out of any hotel or motel before 11. She demanded we check out at 10:30
- 2/5
I asked for another room because my neighbor was smoking and that aggrivates my asthma. The owner was not pleased with my request. The room itself was adequate though someone left items in the fridge that the staff should have found and removed but didn’t. I wouldn’t stay there again.
- 5/5
Even though the room was small, it was comfortable and clean. Also, easy access to and from highway I 5.
- 3/5
The location was convenient, but we found the sheets to be quite itchy and our AC unit wouldn’t stay on no matter what setting we tried.
- 3/5
this is a good option for a quick overnight stay
- 1/5
Dirty, many ants and spiders. No hangers so couldn’t hang up clothes
- 4/5
It was good! I had to go ask for a receipt since.I paid with cash. Ice wasn't provided nor coffee.and at least a breakfast roll in the morning. I think those two items would.have made my stat even better.
- 5/5
A nice family runs this spot.
- 3/5
Floors needed a good scrubbing. Air conditioner very noisy. Other than that, overall was acceptable.
- 3/5
The place is nice enough, but the motel is old and rough. Painted cinder block walls in small rooms, and looks like almost nothing has been updated in decades. But the staff is nice, and do well with what they have, it is all clean and functional, just old. And it does have a fridge, which I didn't expect. Doesn't compare well with the Best Western right next door, looking down on you.
- 5/5
Considering we booked for half the price of some of the other hotels, this place wasn't dirty or scary. Nice area, nice staff, no ick or bugs from the room
- 4/5
The room wasn't fancy but supplied all of our needs.Comfortable, clean and affordable.
- 2/5
This place wasn’t haunted, but it was certainly scary enough. Room was dirty and it was like being in a prison cell. Which may have been ok if it were half the price of what we paid. I would have spend the extra $20 to stay in the Holiday Inn Express next door.
- 1/5
It was dirty and very run down. I couldn't stay there- I has to book another place.
- 5/5
Great little motor lodge. It was clean and recently remodeled. Big bed with good sheets. Water was hot and the heat worked great. Cable tv and WiFi included. A lot of reviews talk about the cinder block walls. I like it because it’s quieter and safer in case of fire. Felt safe there and felt that my car was safe. The place was packed with road travelers. It’s a great location coming off the 5. There is a gas station next door with a really good coffee hut in the parking lot. Easy morning walk to good coffee is a definite plus. Nice family owned place.
- 3/5
felt like staying in a high end prison cell
