Reviews
The hotel is generally well-liked for its cleanliness, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. Its central location in midtown is a significant advantage, with many dining and shopping options nearby. However, the valet parking is expensive and often causes delays, and some guests have experienced issues with room maintenance and service.

Friendly staff. Checked in late and received free upgrade. Very clean. Refrigerated towel in gym felt amazing after running

I appreciate nice people and good service!!

The hotel overall was great. My only comment was the third party booking issue I had which I explained below. I went thru a third party booking and was still charged the full rate, when I got to the hotel from the hotel. I had already paid for the room in full.

All was good except for parking. If you’re going to spend a lot of money for your stay, parking should be free. $54.00 per day for parking is extremely expensive.

Rosa was a delight as she greeted us upon arrival. The men out front were friendly and helpful as well. Room was clean and comfortable. Overall great stay would do it again.
- 5/5
I didn't eat a full mean there just appetizers and cocktails and they were good.
- 3/5
All staff was delightful. The water pressure in the shower is extremely low. And the temperature couldn’t be controlled. Washing my hair was out of the question. Oh, and they overbooked so I had to have a rollaway bed in the room because I don’t have a lot of loyalty points. It was very quiet and centrally located.

Location, room size, clean, friendly staff. Only 1 person at registration desk at 4 pm on Saturday! Shortly after 4 another person came but still confusing the way the desk are located. The lobby was full of people trying to check in. Also need more elevators! 2 working in a hotel the size is not enough!!

The executive suite was very nice. However, the TV remote in the bedroom needed new batteries. No microwave oven in the room. The frig was too narrow to place a dish in it, and the couch was too slippery with the fabric.

Room was clean, A+ for valet workers. I did not enjoy breakfast, mediocre buffet, instead of buffet I ordered an omelette from the menu and it was very salty along with the home fries, I could not finish eating because of salt content. coffee was room temperature, I didn’t drink. I did not want to ask for another coffee because the waitress was rude already when I arrived. So food and service was terrible, i recommend going some place else for breakfast. Besides that, my stay was ok. Great location.
- 5/5
The food was ok. But because we have been here so many times, I think it wasn't as exciting for us.
- 4/5
Areas were super loud due to an event. If was hard to get checked in due to limited personnel at the desk. The bathroom door would not stay shut, there is no latch and it just reopens itself. Makes for an awkward situation. Parking is a nightmare, but expected for downtown Atlanta.

- 2/5
Wifi didn't work one morning so I couldn't work from the hotel. No hot water in the shower in the eveing. The plumbing is very loud - like a constant toilet flush
- 2/5
It's probably quicker to list the things that actually worked in our room but here we go, upon arrival the air conditioner , and the refrigerator did not work, then the power and water went out (I understand this isn't the hotels fault) the power came back within hours, the water did not, mid-day on day 2 the water returned to at least flush the toilet but the hot water was out for our entire stay. to add insult to injury, they wanted to charge us $18 a day for wifi, this was taken as insult after all of the other issues with this hotel.
- 5/5
Great location. Superb service.
- 1/5
The Wi-Fi never worked the building, lost electricity in the three nights. We were already had no hot water. Nobody came to make up the rooms and they didn’t tell us that we needed to ask for that service every day when we were checking in nobody made any accommodations for the fact that there was no hot water.

Conveniently located in Midtown, within walking distance to the Georgia Tech campus. The room was modern and had lovely detailes, view of the skyline is a nice touch. The bikes in the Gym require you to sign up with Peloton to start your workout, I wish there was a Guest mode to just start riding. Parking is valet only, but there are other garages closeby where you can park yourself for cheaper.

Starting off, $400 up front, after the cost of the room for $100 a night deposit was ridiculous. Second, $66 a day for valet seems a bit excessive, especially since I did not drive the entire time I was there. Third, $15 a day for WIFI after paying over $300 a night is insane. As far as the room, it was nice, except the beds were hard, and the shower was lukewarm at best. Also, the ice machines on my floor and the floor below did not work.
- 4/5
Cons: room felt old with some small signs of aging like peeling wallpaper, pillows are rock hard, high prices for breakfast menu and breakfast buffet, beware of "free" Wi-Fi. WIFI warning: It's not good enough to click the FREE button after you enter your Bonvoy number, you have to also call the front desk and give them your number even though there's no indication anywhere that you need to do that. I think that's sneaky. Check your bill when you check out. Front desk lady very unfriendly when I asked her to remove $14.95 wifi charge from my bill.

My stay was wonderful. I will be staying again. I stayed in the suite and checked in at 530pm. However, my room was not ready. That is unacceptable but I will say that the person at the desk did give us a suite that was available but was being held for another guest that had not arrived. That was the only issue i had checking in. Other than that. The room was wonderful.
- 3.5/5
Alot of noise. Could hear everything outside including loud thumping at night. Had to pay to use internet becasue booking wasn't done directly with Marriott. For the amount paid, wifi should've been included. If I brought a laptop, it would've been evern worse. Also restaruant had a very basic menu.

Everything great
- 2/5
The breakfast restaurant was a buffet, but the quality was very poor for the price of $32. When I asked about using the Wi-Fi, the front desk simply connected me to the service provider and told me to resolve the issue myself, which made me question the staff’s professionalism. The fact that the Wi-Fi is not free and requires an additional fee was also very inconvenient. Overall, this is a hotel I find difficult to recommend.

My stay at the Renaissance was awesome and the bar was clearly my favorite due to the ambience, convenience, as well as the spirits. My friends and I enjoyed it so much that we were there reminiscing and catching up with each other for at least 8 hours. 10 out of 10 for sure 😃
- 2/5
Staff, amenities. Total indifference on behalf of most staff. Didn’t care.
- 5/5
This is a very gorgeous hotel. I like how they rolled out the red carpet for my convention with the personalized details. I will say the area feels congested but its not a complaint as theres nothing you can do when you're smack in the middle of the city. You just do the best you can which is what they did. Also, one othe thing id like to mention. The bed was super duper soft... and uncomfortable AF. I am not sure HOW thats even possible but my back was very unhappy. I dont know if they're all that way or what. Anyway. I still give 5 stars.
- 3/5

Nothing it was dated and they kept spraying some sort of disinfectant spray in the lobby that was unpleasant The young Black female that checked me in was rude and condescending. My room was small. The paint was chipping on the shower floor. I didn’t feel welcome or comfortable
- 5/5
Parking was very easy. Valet was fast.

Excellent location. Clean and spacious bedroom. Comfortable bed. Highly recommended. Parking was $59. There are cheaper parking options nearby. The woman at the front desk did not look at us at any point; not very friendly.
- 5/5
The entire staff at the hotel and restaurant were fantastic. We will definitely stay again.
- 5/5
We loved the Renaissance. From the moment you walk in the lobby is beautifully designed and smells GREAT! The bar is amazing and the food is so good. The service in the restaurant was outstanding we ate there several times and it was always a warm greeting and great service. Housekeeping was the best and I haven't said that in a long time. It was just a 10 minute walk to Georgia Tech and lots to see and do in the area. Barnes and Noble was a couple blocks which made my husband happy. Overall should our son get accepted into GT, this is were we will stay :) Thank you Staff!!!

- 4/5
The room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. The hotel itself feels modern and luxurious, and the location is great, close to everything we needed. The hotel has an arrangement with the parking lot right next to it, but they won’t tell you about it. Instead, they’ll offer a $65 valet service, which is extremely overpriced. I had read on Booking.com that there’s a $20 self-parking option, and when I asked the receptionist, she said they didn’t know about it and don’t control third-party offers. It took me a while to figure it out myself, but eventually I parked there and paid only $20. Also, the hotel offers free Wi-Fi only for guests who book through their own app. Since we booked through Booking.com, we didn’t get free Wi-Fi which is quite strange in 2025, when most hotels provide it as a basic service.

Clean room and convenient to ga tech. A nice place to stay when we visit ga tech. The restaurant is decent.

They valeted my car and tried giving me the wrong car. Mixed up the tickets.
- 2/5
I stay here because of the location and the bar next door is really convenient. The staff was friendly. Black straight hair was in the bathroom sink when I arrived. The bathroom door wouldn't stay closed. The hotel was a little more crowded than usual this time. My streaming service didn't work the first night I arrived. After it was fixed the Pluto stream was awful. It kept stopping in the middle of the program. There were too many pets on sight. One man got off the elevator with 2 large dogs.

8 out of 10 my only complaint is that when we made it to the room that night, my door didn’t lock nor would the door latch work, but I called the front desk and was moved to another room right away

- 3/5
The staff was great. Very helpful and professional. The food from the restaurant was pretty good. There was only one working elevator my first night. The line was incredibly long and we waited at least an hour for it to die down so we could get upstairs. No one mentioned that either upon check in. The room door wasn’t operating properly. It tended to get stuck in the close position when the door is open therefore preventing you from closing it. I had to move the handle up and down before I could close it. Otherwise the stay was pleasant. Parking is expensive too. $54 per day when I went a week and half ago.
- 4/5
A nice area of Atlanta, close to restaurants. Gave it 4 stars because the overnight parking is too expensive!
- 5/5
Great property close to downtown with board games in the lobby for the family to enjoy during one of our breaks.
- 5/5
Street parking was convenient and accessible. Staff was friendly and helpful. AC controller didn’t work first day, they quickly fixed. Lobby was pleasant.
- 5/5
Great location. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Very clean. Only negative was the bed was a little hard.
- 3/5
The WiFi was spotty and at times our streaming service didn’t work. Otherwise, it was clean with a good location. Showers had good pressure and water temperature

Didn’t like that we had street parking and had to pay the meter at 7:00am or receive a ticket
- 3/5
The staff was very friendly and things were organized. One of the elevators were broken which required a longer wait time to use them. Things were very pricey there, no complimentary anything and the valet parking was expensive as well. Over all nice hotel, I just feel as though there should have been more amenities for the prices we paid.
- 5/5
My stay was great the only hiccup was four elevators and only one working 15/20 minute wait to get on.

- 2/5
Only one elevator. Front desk said they were all working. They lie. It took 50 minutes. That’s almost an hour, to get to the room. They were unconcerned. I’m sure just sick of the complaints. Requested and got a low floor BUT no stair access. Valet doesn’t let you call for the car so you have to go wait. I know, get over it, but we were actually in a massive rush.
- 5/5
Great property
- 5/5
It would have been nice to have a microwave in our room but I’m grateful to have had a fridge there. There is only 1 microwave in the entire hotel located in the lobby. I will say the restaurant did not have great lunch and dinner options especially if you are vegan. However, it is walkable to Publix and restaurants. All in all, I would definitely stay there again depending on the parking price. I was not thrilled to pay the $100 a day deposit so I’m sure the parking is expensive too.
- 5/5
We were happy with the experience from check in to check out. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the room was clean and spacious and the response to the room when we needed more towels was prompt. Room service was not great, order was sent to another room initially, apart from that we had a great experience.
- 3/5
The stay was not as expected. I reserved two queen beds but received one bed and a rollaway. How inconvenient and disappointing. I asked was the room available when I purchased. The response was, yes. I paused for an insertion of the rationale to no avail. I will think 10 times before reserving again as it has been proven you do not get what you pay for for provide any interventions for their mishaps.

- 4/5
Very nice hotel and service. The geolocation was perfect in the mid town area with lots of restaurants and shops. The room was very nice and I loved the sheets. Bed very firm. I did not like the fact that the bathroom has a frosted glass which allows light to flood into the room during the night, awakening me or my husband. Don’t know why architects thought that was a good idea but I could without it. There were no lotion toiletries and only one hand soap. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

- 1/5
I was given a room with a dirty restroom and they didn’t fix it for a whole a day, then I was moved to a new room late at night. They didn’t come to fresh up the new room either. Terrible service.
- 5/5
My room was spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully designed with a perfect blend of comfort and sophistication. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, and the room had all the little extras that make a difference—plush towels, high-end toiletries, and a great workspace. The location is fantastic—right in the heart of Midtown, with easy access to restaurants, cultural spots, and Georgia Tech. Despite being in such a vibrant area, the room was peaceful and quiet, offering the perfect retreat after a long day. What truly stood out was the level of service. Every staff member I encountered was professional, helpful, and genuinely kind. Whether it was a restaurant recommendation, a special request, or just a friendly conversation, they made sure every detail of my stay was handled with care. The rooftop lounge was a highlight—great atmosphere, creative cocktails, and stunning views of the city. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger. I highly recommend the Renaissance Atlanta Midtown Hotel to anyone looking for a stylish, comfortable, and memorable stay in the city. I’ll definitely be coming back

Second time staying here. Staff is courteous and pleasant. Hotel is in a quiet and safe area. Lobby is inviting with a warm fireplace. Rooms were clean and have a nice view (hotel is 20 floors, we were on 19th). One of the few hotels that still does daily cleaning. Would recommend.

- 5/5
This location was amazing. In the heart of everything, plenty of restaurants, shops, and easy access to transportation. I will definitely stay here again
- 5/5
I loved my stay. The staff were very nice, friendly, and accommodating. The hotel is very nice as well. It’s close to a lot of restaurants. They have a Publix a few blocks away for anything you may have forgotten to pack. 10 out of 10.
- 5/5
Great check in. Bar staff friendly. Room clean and very spacious.
- 1/5
We reserved a city view and parking. Neither were available and the evening staff was rude.
- 5/5
Room was spacious, as was the bathroom. Everything was clean, front desk was very courteous as were the valets for parking. Good coffee in the lobby. Showers had good water pressure and multiple heads. All in all, everything you could ask for. We didn’t get to try the restaurant as we were there for one day, but so much in the area you can walk to.
- 3/5
The hotel was clean and the room was very comfortable. Was not noisy although it was quite a crowd for the weekend that we were there. It appeared that the staff in the dining and bar area were understaffed. There was significant wait times for drink orders, and food. The food was mediocre at best. Parking on the street was impossible. Their staff was extremely courteous, polite, and helpful however, cars were on Friday when we checked in triple parked on a one-way street, which is quite hazardous for car zipping by. Condition of the furnishings booths and chairs in the restaurant and dining area were well worn and needed replacement. We ask for bar soap and was told none was available on the first day and finally received one small bar on the second day. The body wash and the shower was empty. It was never replaced.

Great vibe, lobby restaurant and bar are excellent
- 1/5
While the location was great and I did get a reduced rate, to have to pay for breakfast AND pay for WiFi in your room, I was truly baffled. There were other hotels in the area that my fiancé looked up and said I should have chose that offered free breakfast because I am a diabetic and could have gotten juice and things if needed. But I chose the place because of price. While nice and I am a Marriott member, I don’t know if I would stay at another. And that disappoints me because I love midtown Atlanta.

The staff here was absolutely amazing. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. They all went above and beyond for us, the valet helped us out a lot and Mike at the front desk is the nicest guy you will ever meet. Thanks Renaissance! We had a great stay
