Stayed here a quick one night before jumping on a cruise out of Long Beach arrived late around midnight and left really early. The room was fine for what I paid for it was clean. Everything was acceptable and I was happy that I chose this place. The bed was kind of uncomfortable and the sheets were clean, but there were some stains. The area is somewhat sketchy there’s all kinds of trippy people hanging around outside. I don’t know if they’re tenants people who live there or just random tweakers. The staff was great. They got me a parking spot right next to my room like I wanted and it was right next to the office. Nothing happened to my car or us. Everything went smooth. It’s a great hotel to crash out for a quick night sleep.

The hotel parking lot and surrounding lower level rooms had numerous homeless individuals hanging out. The exterior the hotel was extremely dirty. I had to bypass several homeless people to get up the stairs to my room. Elevated noise level throughout the late evening.

The room was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning worked really. However, the outside of my room, was trashy.

The room was clean and renovated. There was enough towels, soup, shampoo and body moisturizer. Room was specious. We had some issues with TV. Quiet AC. Free parking, plenty of space. Area not the best but it was actually not a problem since we felt safe in the hotel. Price was great. I would stay there again.

Power source on the working desk and phone did not work. No hot-water boiling facilities in the room. Bed was well made, but unfortunately the housekeeper was slipshod and left hair lying on the bed. Overall, it needed more amenities, but if these are not so important, then the property works. The proprietors are friendly and helpful.

No cups or plastic glasses. No mini coffee machine. No soap. Only two towels. Not enough convenience outlets. Curtains were nasty. Disappointing. Stayed at Wyndham in Tombstone Az. It was excellent.

Burn holes on sheets in a NON-SMOKING room. Did the check in on line and added late check out-which was then told "Oh, we didn't approve that" the day of check out at 1130 in a rude manner and tone by some guy who never introduced himself in any fashion. Fortunately, I was already packed up since being woken up by people yelling at 430 AM. Definitely a stay at your own discretion.

While the room was very clean and staff was very friendly and kind, the pool was empty and there was old furniture in the pool area. Within minutes of arriving, we were approached in the parking lot by someone asking for money. I can tell that the new management is making changes and improving the property from what it seems like used to be a hangout for homeless. Despite this, we did not feel unsafe or like the room was dirty.

The area wasn't that good, beat up cars, noisy streets, lots of trash. It was fine for a couple of nights, and the motel itself was fine. Just not in the best area. Plus, they could put some water glasses in the rooms. Coffee would be nice, too

We stopped for a quick overnight while on our drive and found the motel to be clean, bed comfortable and adequate for our stay.

Its very run down on the outside and the parking lot smells like cat pee. The room was nice and remodled and the bed was comfy but there was no coffee maker in the room and no coffee or breakfast as promised. I felt like this was false advertisement.

The Wyndham name is poor quality in this hotel. Very run-down, low quality hotel.

The rooms were dirty, I asked for a new room and they wouldn’t give me one. There was mold on the ceiling and the wires hanging out of the door. There were bugs. Worst stay in Bakersfield.

The room was filthy. The bed was extremely uncomfortable thought it was going to break. Tweakers out working on their car all night. When talked to office staff about my concerns, he didn’t care. I didn’t even stay my second night left and got a different hotel it wasn’t safe for my daughter and I to be there

What stood out and would always stand out is the hospitality from the staff they always remember, which is my favorite room. They remember me by name greet me with a smile and I genuinely happy to see me return and that means a lot.

i booked the room while on my roadtrip to texas. solo female traveler on a budget. well, the reviews looks great despite it being bakersfield. i stop and check in and immediately can get an uneasy vibe however i was sleep and i reserved a bed. within 5 minutes, groups of men (3) started knocking and turning handle. luckily i had already barricaded the door with furniture. after the first attempt of interacting/knocking on the door. i call the front desk and alert them of the matter. they tell me they’ll come scare them off and to not call the cops. she comes and knocks on my door announcing “MAAM, ARE YOU OKAY?? they are gone now” i call the cops anyways because not she announced i was solo. they sent a patrol car. i asked for an escort but no one helped with that. i called the front desk and asked her to walk me to my car, she literally didn’t. just watched me from a distance. i told her i didn’t care for a refund for my safety. my safety is well worth MORE than a $45 room. save yourself the trouble. get the room near the tesla super chargers… the rooms here are patrolled, card access only and well worth the peace of mind. take care yall. and f this place for life!

Worst motel I ever had when I walked in. There was old socks behind the chair. The floor was broken, and the fridge was leaking

The first room we were put in was disgusting and run down. The area felt uncomfortable and not safe.

Hotel was fine for an overnight stay - clean, but a bit dated. Nice large refrigerator. Woke to several police cars in the parking lot - not sure what was going on, but we left as soon as we felt safe to do so.

Booked non smoking room. Immediately smelt like a pack of smokes with burn holes in the curtains. Says daily housekeeping but out of my 4 days I stayed my room did not get touched for 1 second.

2 stars because the young girl at the front desk was amazingly kind and professional, sadly I feel she has few other options than to work/be there. However, I booked this hotel based off of the photos, ratings, and reviews, and I feel severely misled. I am not familiar with the area, which is also not great. There were men hanging out on the stairs and in the parking lot, it was after midnight. I checked in, then quickly checked out after I went to the room and saw that it looked like the door lock was broken out, the bedspread was stained, and the room felt less than clean. The whole property felt very unsafe to me and I live in a high crime city, but I felt like I would have had to sleep with one eye open. Thankfully, I was able to find another available hotel for that night and the remainder of my time in Bakersfield. I would love to give a higher rating just for the wonderful girl at the front desk, unfortunately the property doesn’t even deserve one star. I also feel that if I had been able to stay here, there should have been some sort of price reduction since breakfast was not available. If I had booked a hotel based on it offering breakfast, then it was not available and I had to go pay for it elsewhere, I would think that should be deducted from the cost of the room rate.

Very nice family owned business

This has become my go too stay while in Bakersfield on business. The manager gives reserves my favorite room every time I return with out me asking! The second time it had a bible on the night stand. I keep the Bible on my dash so he must have noticed and placed one next to my bed as a recognition of my faith. Very impressive and appropriated.

The room was dirty, there was no toilet paper, the towels and bedding all had stains, the back of the door where the mechanism to lock the door was exposed and battered.

Stopped here for a quick overnight stay due to the rain being so heavy. Area isn’t great. Free parking. When we got into our room it was clean but a tad musty. The linens had some stains on them. The toilet was extremely whiny and loud after flushing. Lots of dust on the light fixtures. Some don’t even work. If you’re staying on the first floor, GOOD LUCK. You can hear every single movement of your upstairs neighbors, including the toilet and shower. You can also hear the neighbors on the first floor next to you. Terrible sleep here due to the noise. Highly recommend spending your money somewhere else. We should’ve just drove home in the rain.

The parking lot was rly dirty especially the stairs area. I had pre checked in online and put my card on file but aparently that doesnt matter so my husband had some trouble checking in. The doors to the room were also kind of dirty. Other than that everything else was pretty smooth.

Noisy, no TV remote control, no hair dryer (I had to go reception), in room phone not working. I was on the second floor, but the building was shaking and it was so noisy that I couldn’t sleep.

Ok for a one night stay. We did find a place to dine walking distance away. Bare minimum is the way to describe this room. No coffee, hair dryer, or tissues. Office was locked durning check out hours. Shower had good water pressure.

Check-in was a breeze. The staff were really friendly. We had an issue with the G5 breaker in the room, and they fixed it within an hour or so. Rooms were clean. The light enters at night that's the biggest disturbance. Some kind of room-darkening shades would be helpful. The room we stayed in has a fridge and a microwave. Not a big choice for breakfast. Hopefully, they will include it soon. Also, they can provide more pillows and extra towels some basic needs ( like shampoo, etc)

Large clean King size bed room, like the larger refrigerator, staff was friendly. Only negative is the music coming from somewhere till 1am. Not loud, but noticeable when trying to sleep. Location is easy to the freeway.

WORST PLACE: Toilet ran all night and didn’t flush, the AC was not turned on when I arrived so I sweated in the room for hours before I could fall asleep when the air became tolerable. When I eventually did fall asleep, I was still waking up sweating. There was no hot water in the shower, so I had to take a drinking cup from the sink and bring water to the shower to dump on me just to wash my body at least. (don’t worry, it was a disposable cup). Just imagine sweating all night, and you can’t even take a shower. There is no pool. It’s incredibly loud. Even louder than the Las Vegas hotels I’ve stayed at. Probably one of the loudest hotels I’ve ever stayed at. One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at to say the least. I’m not high maintenance, and I don’t ask for too much. But a toilet that flushes, and hot water in the shower is the bare minimum. They knew the toilet wasn’t working, because it constantly ran. The mini fridge did not shut, so that was broken too. There was no hair dryer either. But that’s okay because I couldn’t even wash my hair because there was no hot water in the shower. For over $100? I’d rather stay at a $60 motel 8. I used this hotel for work purposes. I DO NOT recommend.

A cheap and clean place to spend the night. Office staff was friendly at check in. The lobby was not open in the morning when I left at 6 am so no access to coffee.

I had to sleep with lights on after the first night because the second night a cockroach scurried across my phone screen while scrolling and laying down in bed. They seem to have arrived when a new neighbor checked in next to me who was also pretty unruly, knocking things over and I also noticed the window was cracked when it hadn’t been the night before. The first night was pleasant, the remaining two I had to quite literally sleep with one eye open which led me to only get a few hours of sleep.. effectively defeating the purpose of my stay. It did seem that there were many people questionable in character who were also staying here at the time, it almost felt like the tension of war in the air when stepping outside to retrieve something from my vehicle. I don’t want to blame the owners for this experience as I do believe the behavior my fellow community members who were sharing the space conducted themselves in a way that negatively impacted safety and comfort that would have not been impacted otherwise.

Well first off I'll be seeking money back for one day cuz I left to go to another hotel. the floors were so dirty my feet were so black.The TV didn't work the internet didn't work. In the front of the door was actually improperly installed his son and body wanted to They could have either broken the window or the window was left open you could reasonably reach in and unlock the door not good The door needs to be replaced to open from the other side. I know this place was inexpensive to stay out but that's not excuse I've stayed at motel 6's that were nicer and cleaner. And their Wi-Fi worked. FYI I've tried to add a photo but for whatever reason it's not letting me upload a photo but trust me the door needs to be replaced That is not safe

2. He fails to state on the travel websites and on the motel website that they oddly limit consecutive nights to 21; causing unresolved refund issues and unresolved booked dates adjustment issues, and severe stress. He knows that because Expedia is dyslexic, lazy and corrupt and does not reply nor comply with clear emailed instructions; that he needs to reiterate them to them. 3. No microwaves, no freezer section in the mini fridges, none of the rooms window's open, no coffee makers, stained floors, thin walls, loud air conditioners, loud mini fridges, no guest laundry room, no breakfast, no irons no ironing boards, no blow dryers, rowdy party drug addicts guests every day, no cups, no luggage racks, no hot water after neighbors shower, stained towels and stained replacement towels, ceiling lights are bright/white, no stores/shopping nor restaurants within walking distance, housekeeping carts are loud every early morning through afternoon.

The man who checked us in was very kind, waived our deposit twice for two separate trips. The hotel is just clean enough, any worse and we would've stayed somewhere else. But for the price...

Clean safe spot with a refrigerator and a microwave. Comfy beds dark room and quiet. Check in and out super easy. Couple of downsides... pool and jacuzzi drained at the start of summer and a wet pull string to flush the toilet, that ran. Great stay otherwise, I would recommend staying here and would stay here again.
