Reviews
The hotel has a great location with easy access to various attractions, and the staff is generally friendly and helpful. However, there are consistent complaints about the cleanliness of the rooms, issues with room service, and problems with the front desk staff.

I thought the common areas were a little dark. Better lighting in common areas would be nice.

Excellent hotel, wonderful housekeeping highly recommend

It could better if the bathroom had a night light and wash towel hanging rods. Another problem is that one of the lamps on nightstand doesn’t have outlets for charging cell phone.

Great customer service. Breakfast was okay. The mattress is hard, pillows flatten when you lay on them. Barely any sleep. Overall stay was okay.

We do not recommend this hotel. The overall vibe is creepy meets dated meets dirty. The first room we were assigned reeked of cigarette smoke. We were given a new, larger room. But the bathroom in the second room had a terrible mildew smell. The wallpaper in the room was peeling and the furniture and bedding is extremely low quality/uncomfortable. The food in the restaurant was not edible. The server was nice, but seemed apologetic about the quality of the food.
- 4/5
Lovely.
- 5/5
Exceptional staff! Anything we needed was dealt with promptly. They also gave us locations to bring the kids for activities in Baltimore. The room was amazing as well. The concierge also called us before we got there to say there was an issue with our suite and gave us a discount for the inconvenience. I would suggest there be a microwave in the larger suites or even in the ice machine area. However, when we asked about a microwave, staff immediately brought one up.
- 3/5
Too expensive and not worth it. They charge amenities fees of 25.00-nothing extraordinary services than a typical 3 star hotel.

I thoroughly enjoy staying here each time I come. The concierge and valet staff are always so pleasant and the rooms are extremely well maintained and comfortable.

I've stayed in several hotels in Baltimore over the years. The Royal Sonesta is definitely my favorite hotel in Baltimore. It's clean, the staff are kind, and best of all the hot tub feels incredible after a long day. I wanted to try their cafe becuase they have Italian coffee but I did not have the chance. I will definitely return next year. What other hotels offer this many services?

Excellent staff all around. Kevin in the bar is a treasure. All staff, in reality, were pleasant and helpful. Location was perfect. Close to Harbor, close to Federal Hill. Short walk to stadium. Bathrooms are a bit outdated. Would have enjoyed better bed linens. Otherwise the property was comfortable and well maintained.

No tienen una buena opción para desayunar-cuentan con una. Cafetería muy limitada operada por solamente una persona que a las 7:30am está rebasada-largas filas, lento proceso y solo venden algo de pan…decepcionante para el tipo de hotel.
- 2/5
Room was clean. Location is wonderful. Spoke to hotel staff 5 times about the beeping thermostat before I gave up. They sent someone to fix it after the second night (4th time asking for someone to take a look at it.) It beeped again within 5 minutes of him leaving. Beeping would happen at random intervals day and night, waking us up in the middle of the night. The first time I mentioned it at the desk after checking in, they shared a few people were having this challenge and they would send someone to take a look at it, so it seems to be a known issue. If you don't mind being woken up various times throughout the night, this is a great hotel.

This hotel is located in downtown Baltimore, central, giving a very safe feel. Loved the space in the room, the view of the Habour from the room was breathtaking! The size of the room is generous and very clean. Because it is an older hotel, the free Wifi is not high speed - you have to pay for high speed WIFI. The shower pressure could have been stronger and the water warmer.

Very clean throughout. Check-in staff at front desk was not particularly helpful and placed us in a harbor view room that had a view of trees only. Check-out staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating. She understood our disappointment and made it right.
- 4/5
Great location, spacious rooms, friendly and professional staff, easy and reasonable parking. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the mattress was not as comfortable as say at the Marriott. May be just mine but it was a bit lumpy, maybe old.

Front desk clerk was very friendly and accommodating when I asked to be moved from a accessible room to a regular guest suite + super helpful with packages I had delivered to the property as well as answering all my questions about parking and getting around the inner harbor area.

No breakfast was availed
- 5/5
We had a wonderful one night stay, our room was clean, we used the pool, which was also very clean. Unfortunately, we did have breakfast in the restaurant, the food was cold, and not cooked to our liking, and the service was awful. My recommendation would use the café and not the restaurant for breakfast.
- 5/5
Excellent experience all around. Loved the fact that we could walk to Everything we wanted to do and never needed to use the car which was safe in their parking garage for 4 days.
- 5/5
To me the best feature of the hotel was tied to the parking garage, you could enter and exit the garage as many times as you wanted without incurring any additional fees, made getting around so much easier

Room was nice and well furnished. Very comfortable bed. Great location! Room warm and air conditioning wasn't functioning well. Room service not available and staff didn't speak very good English, extremely rude! Not worth the higher expense! Charge a reset fee for what I have no idea!

My wife and I have stayed at the Royal sonesta harbor Court a couple of times in the last 2 years. It's a very nice hotel that is at the center of quite a few attractions close to the Inner harbor of Baltimore. The staff are always very helpful and accommodating. The hotel is clean with great amenities. I would highly recommend the Royal sonesta harbor Court as a place to stay when in Baltimore.
- 4/5
Staff was pleasant. Property was clean, but aging.

Very nice stay at a well maintained hotel. The gastropub was wonderful for breakfast.

The property was very clean and beautiful, the food was delicious at the restaurant.

If you have kids & want to go to a baseball game at Camden Yards but also explore the zoo, aquarium & other places- want a hotel that is easily accessible to these places, have a car to park in a garage, want a pool to hang out in at night time, a clean, quiet(ish) hotel…. This is your place. I spent hours looking at reviews for each hotel close to Camden Yards. Some good, some bad and I would read them over and over again. We chose this hotel and if we ever went to Baltimore again, we would stay here. It ended up being in a wonderful location- parking was decently priced for our car in the attached garage. The staff was nice, room was nice, couple of minor things I would change but nothing that would make me not want to go there again. The pool was an added bonus and we used it at the end of the day a couple of times. Beds were comfortable, good water pressure in showers. We had a three night stay. Great experience!

The staff is always wonderful and go above and beyond with anything that you need. It is a beautiful hotel… This is the fourth year in a row that I have stayed there and I’ve never had any problems and the rooms are always beautiful and clean.

The hot tub was freezing. Colder than the pool. Apparently that is an ongoing issue. I waited for a really long time to be acknowledged at the restaurant to place a carry out order. When I entered my room for the 1st time, the cabinet was broken. Luckily maintenance was next door making a repair, so I asked if he could fix it. He did come right over. The hotel removed some of my expense to make things right. I'm pretty easy going, so I was satisfied.

The hotel was great and the room was excellent. The only that was a disappointment was the restaurant closed early.
- 5/5
Beautiful room, very friendly staff. Very nice hotel.
- 4/5
Overall the hotel was nice close to alot of the restaurants I wanted to try . Staff was friendly parking garage right around the corner very convenient. Pool and gym was super clean and nice spacious. Definitely would come back just wish they had a microwave
- 5/5
The room was extremely clean. The 2 Beds were a decent size for 4 guests. Gym was really clean and had various machines to use. Pool is located on the 7th floor next to the gym. The hotel is super convenient for inner harbor & game day stays!
- 3/5
However, there was a Starbucks cup left on the floor by the window from a previous guest, and when we pulled the curtain back further, we found even more Starbucks trash. It made the room feel like it was given a quick once‑over rather than a full clean, which was disappointing. The onsite restaurant was also a bit of a letdown. Several menu items we tried to order weren’t available due to missing ingredients, and we were told they closed at 9, even though weekday hours say midnight. Since check‑in is at 4 and we were out exploring the city, it would’ve been more convenient to rely on the onsite option — that’s kind of the whole point of having it. Overall, the photos online looked a little brighter and more polished than what we experienced. The stay wasn’t terrible by any means — it was okay — but between the room cleanliness oversight and the restaurant issues, we’ll probably explore other hotel options in the area next time.
- 5/5
We love the cleanliness the way everything is put together.very good accommodations. The free shuttle for the touring was the ice on the cake, even though one of the staffs members ( a male) told us there was nothing like that at the hotel but we knew it wasn't true since another female staff told us already about it. This is our 1st time and we would come again.

Pristinely clean, incredibly welcoming and helpful staff, fantastic room - large, beautiful view; bathroom lovely.

Close to everything. Valley parking a little pricey but can park cheaper in lot.
- 4.5/5
Hotel was quiet and beds comfortable, pool and hot tub were great! My bathroom door didn't close all the way and my tub didn't drain well during shower.
- 4.5/5
I enjoy being close to the harbor and all of the restaurants to choose from There was not a view of the harbor in my price range
- 4/5
I didn’t like the fact that I had to wait till 7 o’clock in the morning to get a cup of coffee. There should be more options for getting bottled water or beverages or coffee and just to get a black cup of coffee took 10 minutes at 7 o’clock in the morning. And I know you have coffee makers in the room, but they didn’t have caffeinated coffee pods.
- 5/5
Room was clean and large, property was very nice and in a good location, view was beautiful. Only downside was traffic noise but overall a great stay

I’m sorry my personal experience was awful they try to make it look clean a spray a lot it was awful and the restaurant they had trash I’m so confused on all those great reviews false.
- 3/5
Not nearly as great as it used to be. Needs a remodel. No actual bell services. Minimal valet assistance.
- 4/5
Pretty good hotel for the price. Location was awesome. The lounge/restaurant/breakfast place is a no. Super long waits and terrible food. Pass on that. The indoor pool was awesome for the kids. Altogether I would stay here again.
- 4/5
Decent hotel stay for families. Indoor poor is smal but great for small kids.
- 5/5
We booked first night with Expedia and decided to stay longer, we enjoyed our time very much.
- 5/5
The hotel was clean and housekeeping was very prompt.
- 1/5
Room is decent, safe in the room is broken. they’re extremely under staff. Upon arrival I requested a microwave, I called and checked with them in person at the lobby for 4 times. It took them more than 3 hrs to deliver the microwave up to my room. I have to say the staff at front desk is helpful, however he’s the only person around if you need help. The main reason we picked this hotel is the indoor pool. When we get there just to find out the pool water is super cloudy and no one is using it. It seems like they did not do a good job in the maintenance and keep it clean. We were afraid and did not want to touch the water in the pool. It was such a big mistake to have booked this place. I would not be going back there again.
- 5/5
The property was easy to find as it is conveniently located on the inner harbor where the main attractions are and it’s all walking distance. With the electric bikes and scooters we was able to get around the harbor quicker. NA
- 3/5
The room was clean, comfortable, and in a very convenient location. Check-in was smooth and the overall setup met my needs. However, the outside noise was quite noticeable, especially at night, which made it harder to get good rest. If you’re a light sleeper, this is something to keep in mind.

Saturday morning engineer, Friday evening restaurant server, morning housekeeping staffer and Front desk staff after 6 was horroble...the worst. I've never experienced such a service so alienating in my life. Front desk doesnt pick up the phones or ask you to hold and never come back. Restaurant server walked passed me so many times to give attention to this White family that I had to demand 2 menus, water, service, etc. I asked where could I sit and this Black older man (tall) ignored me so badly that other customers were attentive and startled. The room was tended to but there were no replacement of bath linen just old dirty used bath linen were left to reuse. I had to get dressed in the hallway because engineering took too long to come to fix the AC. Then he gets smart with me while I'm preparing to get dressed drenched in sweat and Im headed to bury my uncle. I will spread the news of the poor customer service of this hotel.

Amazing time I loved the experience
- 5/5
The pool and fitness center was great! Our room was spacious and overlooked the harbor. Best views!
- 4/5
Great location. Nice hotel. Great square footage in suites with a very large bath tub. Enjoyed the stay. Hotel in general could use maintenance and updating, but decor is classic.
- 5/5
The location is great and the building is incredibly clean, spacious, and well maintained. The size of a standard room is impressive and the gym is great!
- 3/5
The staff was very nice and the place was clean however the shower knob was not secure and kept falling off, the telephone did not work (the front desk stated they were sending someone immediately but no one came until 24 hours later to repair), and the vending machines were broken. The indoor pool was heated and efficient but not for young kids.
- 3/5
The interior of the hotel is dated.
- 5/5
Very clean and eclectically decorated. Loved the woodwork and retro stylings. It was a very unique style that was great compared to cookie-cutter modern chains. A great place with easy access to Inner Harbor and Federal Hill. Super close to both stadiums.
- 3/5
Hotel was nice. Staff was very friendly., My only complaint no microwaves in the room. There should be an age limit for kids being in the Jacuzzi., too many little kids, trying to get in the Jacuzzi heart to relax. Staff was accommodating
- 3/5
For the most part it was a pleasant stay. The pool was clean that I was very happy about. Valet parking perfect staff was great. I didn't care for the breakfast.
- 5/5
the room was very clean and front desk staff was friendly

When we checked in the valet, Anthony, was excellent!! Very helpful even though we self parked. The check-in was slow and eventually disappointing. There was one person answering the phone (taking a reservation while we waited). She took our license plate number so that we could go in and out of the garage anytime, and the gate would automatically go up plus we get a dicounted rate. We didn't go out until departure and then found she never passed on the plate number to the garage. We paid full price rather further delay our departure. Other than her, the stay was excellent!!! Would we go back? Maybe.

Best hotel in the Baltimore Harbor
- 1/5
I didn’t stay 5 min , I booked what i was should have been a 4 star hotel but it was not . First to get from the sticky parking garage to the hotel was very inconvenient included stairs and with luggage it was very difficult the hotel did not have a great smell and the rooms smelled like mop water. Would not recommend
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, right next to the water. The view from my room was amazing. The staffing was short on check in and check out but they were so friendly, didn't seem flustered at all and got to everyone quickly.
- 1/5
We stayed here twice and this late stay will be our late. We couldn't sleep at all. Stayed up literally all night. Very noisey. Loud noise in the hallway by our room door and we could literally hear every conversation the valet workers was having outside. Checked out and was told by the receptionist that the manager would call when he got in at 11.30 only for me to call later and was told it wasn't a note left on my account to have a manager call me and he has left for the day. I dont recommend this hotel at all especially if you on vacation and want to relax peacefully. And communication is very poor among staff
- 2/5
Very nice staff, but had to leave early due to a few incidents. I had to move at 1 am due to “heavy adult activity” in the room next to me and then the second room I was in had a smell of marijuana. So at 2 am I finally was able to get into a room that worked. As I was leaving in a rush, I left my Apple Watch on my bed. They claim it was not there but my find my on Apple is showing it moving around the hotel. The front desk has been very kind and the baristas in the coffee shop attached made my morning. Other than that I definitely would not call it a 4 star as it is a bit outdated and on a busy road but it gets the job done.
- 5/5
Room was clean and as described. Check-in and parking was simple. Easy walk to stadiums and restaurants.

Room was large, clean, comfortable bed, nice bathroom and great view of the harbor. Busy street between hotel and harbor...lots of traffic noise to about 11 PM. Short walk to Aquarium and other harbor activities.

The property stated it had a rooftop fireplace. Which attracted me to the property. But it was not a fireplace . I asked the lady at the front desk. She stated check on the 7th floor. There wasn't a rooftop fireplace. This needs to be removed from part of the amenities.

Great hotel, and a very good location convenient to a lot of great restaurants sent to the convention center. The only issue I had was that the restaurant and bar were minimally staffed. I’d hoped to find a lot more lively a hospitality aspect at the hotel. But the rooms were nice and quiet.
- 5/5

First time staying Monday to Tuesday… pool was great, bar staff funny!!!!!

This hotel was beautiful! Everything was clean, the staff were friendly and welcoming. We celebrated my husband's birthday in the area at Angie's Seafood restaurant which was about 10 minutes away and everything was PERFECT starting with the arrival at the hotel's valet parking attendant to the front desk representative, they entire time of our one night trip was AMAZING! We will definitely be returning back to Royal Sonesta and Angie's seafood restaurant.

I did give my feedback to the hotel front desk. The room (751) is right next door to the elevator, and it's not properly sound insulated to the point I couldn't sleep and it sounded like explosions were happening. (I did call and tried to change rooms but you were sold out). Also, the shower water (both at night and in the morning) was never hot. It was warm, but not hot... probably only about 95 degrees (I own a hot tub so I know what 104+ feels like, most hotels operate at a max of 110 to even 120). So unfortunately, it was a pretty miserable experience for what it was supposed to be.

Perfect! Great Customer Service!
- 3/5
Besides the loud music the first night I was there everything was good
- 5/5
Staff was absolutely amazing and personable. Room was very clean and exactly as described. Very convenient location for walking around the harbor. The restaurant and bar was not only tasty but had a good vibe.
- 5/5
Seemless registration and found a perfect upgrade for me. View of the Harbor was EVERYTHING!

I complained and the brought a summer cotton blanket. That is unacceptable in the middle of winter. All of the electrical outlets in the bathroom were not working . The staff were mostly pleasant
- 5/5
Beautiful rooms and I can't say this enough. The staff were just unbelievably friendly and helpful. Thank you guys
- 5/5
Great hotel and staff.
- 5/5
Everything was lean in neat we loved it
- 4/5
The staff was Good
- 5/5
Nice hotel and great location.
- 5/5
This is a slightly older hotel. Although very comfortable, it could stand a tad of updating in places. Happy to overlook any older features, however, due to the floor to ceiling in-room views of the infamous Baltimore Harbor. Will definitely stay again.
- 1/5
Requested a king sized bed but was told there were none available, amenities were awful, poor service at the poor excuse for a restaurant/bar and the coffee shop didn’t have any ice for a simple iced latte. Awful stay and would never stay there again
- 5/5
Great staff amenities were good. Housekeeping was great
- 4/5
Very nice room/accommodations. Very clean. Only issue was there were a lot of kids still in the pool after 9pm. Another couple and me and my partner went down to relax after a long day and it looked like a pool party. Perhaps putting a time on children or parties in the pool would be more accommodating to other guest.
- 5/5
Big rooms, great location
- 5/5
Loved the pool and gym
- 5/5
Staff were wonderful , Clean rooms and great food!
- 5/5
I really enjoyed my stay this isn’t my first time here but each time I’ve had a better experience. I will be booking again soon thank you again for having me for Valentines weekend ❤️
- 5/5
Staff extremely nice
- 1/5
The second queen bed was slanted and extremely uncomfortable. Parking was expensive and not free at $30 a day and was only discounted by $2.00 from the hotel. The pool and hot tub were not clean. The wall of the pool and hot tub were moldy and the ceiling was falling apart with water damage. Breakfast was also not included. I wouldn’t recommend staying here and probably suggest there are better options.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff, spacious room, great amenities
- 5/5
This hotel is beautiful and a great value. My room was meticulously clean, staff are inviting & friendly and the location was perfect for my work meeting. I did not opt for a harbor view and will consider it next time. Parking was convenient and I will make sure to take advantage of the gym facilities next time.
- 4/5
Clean Room , staff was amazing

Amazing staff all the way around! Enjoyed a swim, no hassle parking and a great cappuccino every morning from the cafe.

Great room, great service
- 5/5
Hotel is a really great location, staff was really nice and the rooms were nice and clean
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
The hotel smelled strongly of weed throughout our stay, and the staff was less than helpful and generally unfriendly. The bar and restaurant were out of several items, and service was extremely slow. On top of that, the parking situation was a major letdown—you have to walk outside to reach the actual hotel, which was inconvenient and unexpected.
- 3/5
Services at the restaurant was really slow! Food was not good. Had a handicap man working in the valet. Place smells old
- 4/5
No free breakfast and dinner wasn’t good
- 5/5
Clean room, great view and amazing staff
- 2/5
Room and ammenities
- 5/5
The hotel offers a great view, but the restaurant is a major disappointment. It closes early without any prior notice, leaving guests without a place to eat. The menu is limited, and the service is unfriendly.
- 5/5
Excelente, everything was great !
- 4/5
We initially booked a harbor view king suite but upgraded to a corner suite to accommodate guests who were meeting us there and celebrating our occasion with us. Although the room was very spacious, clean, and functional, there were some cosmetic issues that would remedy the less than 5 stars issue. There was broken wood on door frames, broken closet door handles, stains on many fabric chairs, and the shower door and drain cover in the master bathroom were both off track/broken. Other than those minor details, the room was gorgeous and the view was breathtaking! If I could offer 2 suggestions that would have enhanced my experience, update the TV’s (couldn’t see channel numbers or connect to apps) and provide ingredients for toiletries provided by you all (for folks with allergies). At no fault of the hotel, we did receive one noise complaint for our music which was a tad annoying because we were very careful not to play it loud enough to hear on the other side of the door or hallway. Maybe the adjacent walls are thin but I’m sure whoever complained wished they would’ve chosen the music over the sounds the music was masking. Oh well. Overall, great stay and can’t wait to come back!
- 5/5
This hotel was so beautiful and a great price!!! Staff was pleasant and the parking was so convenient.
- 5/5
Wonderful
- 5/5
Very clean and convenient location. We were able to walk across to the harbor. Staff were very polite and excellent customer service. Free parking. Definitely will be staying there again.
- 3/5
Ordered two filet mignon with sides, and all the food was cold. There was only enough masked potatoes to fill maybe two spoons. They told me twenty minutes and it took 40. The older gentleman went to see what was taking so long, so that was nice. But the food was still super cold. We also paid for parking by giving our license number to the front desk like all the signs tell you to do but still had to pay for parking. Tthey charged me 58 dollars and the parking garage price was only 30 dollars. So that’s an up charge of 28 dollars. Kinda ridiculous. Then when I get to the gate the gate won’t open. I called the front desk and was left on hold forever and told by the garage I had to pay again and I’d be reimbursed. Which still hasn’t happened. I paid a lot of money for my suite with a really good view and don’t see why someone couldn’t have cleaned the couch by the window.
- 5/5
Great hotel and great location
- 5/5
The room was spotless. Wish there was a microwave available in the room. I was very comfortable inside and outside the room.
- 5/5
I did not know they had breakfast there
- 4/5
The harbor view
- 5/5
Amenities and staff was very professional
- 5/5
Had a very enjoyable stay. Nice, clean and relaxing atmosphere. Will return again.
- 5/5
Other than the rude guy working the restaurant ALLLL other staff including security treated us literally like Royalty & made our stay beyond worthwhile. We definitely intend to return to this establishment. The food and coffee were exceptional.
- 3/5
Amenities, room, staff
- 5/5
Everything was great!
- 5/5
The room was spacious and very clean with a great view to watch the new years fireworks. The staff were very helpful and nice.
- 4/5
The New Year’s Eve dinner wasn’t that good. Previous years it was much better. Having one wait staff member is not good.
- 3/5

- 5/5
I was in Baltimore for two nights with my daughters to see Wicked. We loved the Royal Sonesta! The location was great - overlooking the Inner Harbor and walking distance to lots of restaurants/kid-friendly attractions. Our room was clean and *very* quiet, beds were comfortable, and the bathroom well-stocked. The indoor pool and hot tub were both very nice, parking was easy, and the staff was very friendly. And my girls loved “hiding” on the sofa in front of the window.
- 5/5
Great hotel…
- 5/5
Everything was great !!
- 5/5
Was unable to control the temperature on the room

- 5/5
Clean room. Nice bathroom. Big room.
- 5/5
Great location. Close to everything
- 5/5
Adrienne in the coffee shop is lovely and kind. Gluten-free options would have been good. Michele at the front desk plus the valets Tony and James were great. Elena and the housekeeping staff were very reliable and efficient. Thank you!
- 5/5
Lovely staff and a fantastic health suite. My room was nice but noisy.
- 4/5
Friendly staff and decent room. Pool was heated and the hot tub is big. Bummer the sauna is under construction. Great location with harbor views!
- 5/5
The room was gorgeous. Very clean The view was spectacular especially at night! Overall, a great experience! Very pleased
- 5/5
Excellent service, Easy checkin. Very accommodating
- 5/5
Quick and courteous check in. Hotel was an easy walk to M&T stadium and restaurants after game. Very clean and comfortable room, handy and reasonably priced parking
- 4/5
The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. One thing that is not a favorite of mine is carpet in the room. Good central location. Parking is pricey. Breakfast is not included and there is fee charged for amenities. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!
- 5/5
Room was spotless and the staff was couteous as always.
- 5/5
The hotel is gorgeous. Great amenities. In formula espresso … I would encourage som gluten free breakfast options.
- 5/5
Yes the room was clean and the front desk was nice
- 5/5
Big room with great view!
- 5/5
Amazing view!
- 5/5
Hot tub and sauna were closed for repairs. Waiting time at the café for breakfast was ridiculous
- 5/5
Great room perfect for traveling to a Ravens or O's game.
- 4/5
It was ok
- 5/5
I always enjoy my stay here. It’s my getaway without having to go too far. It’s always peaceful, clean, and stress free. The only thing I would suggest is maybe having better access to the garage. I’ll definitely be back, I love it there!!
- 3/5
The staff was very nice, but the hotel has definitely seen better days. None of the outlets in the bathroom were working, one of the towels was dirty, and the toilet sounded like a wounded animal. Room was very specious though and location is great.
- 4/5
As I write this, Im listening to the pipes of the room above be. Every ounce of the shower…. Loud! This is my 3rd visit to this hotel and Ive never experienced this. Some noise but I was awoken by the shower and facilities above. Unacceptable. Oh and no microwave in the room-weird.
- 5/5
Thanks to staff
- 5/5
Room was clean and tidy, lovely view of the harbour. Food in the restaurant was good also.
- 5/5
Everything waaa
- 3/5
ABSOLUTLY ZERO WORKING VENDING MACHINES IN THE WHOLE HOTEL- THE ONE THEY HAVE ON FLOOR 7 AND NOT ON LY DOES IT JUST TAKE CARD BUT IT WAS EMPTY. THE FRONT DESK GIRL LOOKED ANNOYED WHEN I SAID SOMETHING TO HER ABOUT IT. NOT SURE HOW TO GET DRINKS AND SNACKS WITH NO VENDING MACHINES. IT IS NOT LIKE I CAN JUST RUN DOWN TO THE GAS STATION AT 11:30 AT NIGHT. THE SAUNA WAS NOT WORKING EITHER. WE ALWAYS STAY HERE WHEN WE COME TO BALTIMORE BUT WILL BE LOOKING FOR A NEW HOTEL TO TRY NEXT YEAR.
- 1/5
Horrible. The room next to us . Bother us all night with noise. 50 bucks extra for early check in wth really?
- 5/5
Clean room. Nice staff. Great location!
- 2/5
nice room but no amenities, walked next door to get food at another hotel
- 3/5
room was in good condition and CLEAN! downfall is no place to get coffee or snacks after 2:00 PM. Food is overpriced in dining area. Menu is dated!
- 5/5
Room was clean and the hotel employees were very nice to us. We had a great stay
- 3/5
Unfortunately the entire pool/hot tub/spa/sauna was all closed during our visit and nowhere was this mentioned before we booked, so pretty disappointed in that, seeing as it was a big part of why we chose this reservation. The rest of the stay was otherwise great.
- 3/5
Room was nice but shower had little water pressure. Hall between parking garage and lobby smelled gross. Pool was out of commission.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
Beautiful view of the inner harbor!
- 3/5
Service in the restaurant very slow and the room was nice but faced the alley. Not many people at the hotel would had been nice if they gave us a room with the harbor view. Overall, nice accommodations.
- 5/5
Clean room, view was amazing, room was warm bathroom was spacious as well as the room.
- 5/5
The staff was very welcoming, our room was very clean, and the location was perfect. I just wanted to add that the hotel was very quiet as well (which we really appreciated)
- 3/5
The stafff was lovely, very kind and happy. The room was clean and a nice size for 4 people. I was disappointed because we got charged $50 for an early check in fee. We arrived to the hotel early. And our room was ready… which was great. We were not told about this fee ahead of time. I got an email from the hotel the day before about parking fees, etc. I also got several texts from the hotel leading up to our stay. Nothing mentioned an early check in fee. We honestly didn’t even need the room early. We dropped our bags off and went out for the day. I could have just left the bags and went out for the day and checked in once we returned. I was told about this fee when I went to check out. If it wasn’t for that our stay was very nice.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and quite spacious. The location on the water was beautiful,
- 5/5
The rooms were clean and VERY spacious… attached garage that you got a discount for from the hotel! Friendly/helpful staff
- 3/5
The location of the hotel is nice for exploring Baltimore's inner harbor and the hotel is beautiful. However, there is no place close by or in the hotel to buy a cold drink or snack between breakfast and dinner hours. A poorly stocked vending machine is available and, even with that, one man got something totally different than what he requested. The hotel room itself was very dark even with all the lights on.
- 4/5
The room was clean and view wonderful. The reason I didn’t select 5 stars was because of the restaurant staff and the housekeeping services. Everyone else went above and beyond to make our stay nice.
- 5/5
Very nice room and helpful staff.
- 2/5
Failed to issue a refund they said they would for parking
- 5/5
It was beautifully decorated and with great views. Walking distances to great sites and food
- 4/5
However: two elevators not working, hot tub not hot and jets didn’t work properly. Staff in restaurant were inattentive and service was slow ( so only went there once). Parking tower not managed by hotel, so issues difficult to get resolved.
- 5/5
Great mattress
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay here.
- 4/5
Only staying one night for business. Staff was great!
- 5/5
Beautiful property, close to harbor attractions, staff was very accommodating
- 5/5
Nice staff. Would stay here again!
- 5/5
Excellent hotel. 5 star in all respects.
- 3/5
Heat was not working. Maintenance was unable to get it to work. Not terrible temp outside so wasn’t too cold. Also cold water tap bathroom sink wasn’t functioning at all. Reception staff were excellent.
- 4/5
It was good
- 5/5
A local gem.
- 4/5
Clean the drapes
- 3/5
room 443 needs more light.......very dismal lighting. roo0m clean and orderly.....bed very lumpy...room temp cxontrol good....coffee service nice.... came to 2nd floor for breakfast...........room attendant.....no smile no good morning.............just said "just a minute" as she made us wait amid all empty tables.....disregarded fact we had appointments to make. Had a attitude.........you need to hire happy, friendly enthusiastic welcoming greeter and serveryou havew high end restaurnat environment with low end service staff
- 4/5
Main reason we chose this hotel was because of it proximity to the harbor.

My experience here at this hotel has been subpar. I would not recommend this hotel for any type of stay. My room did not have heat, and I was provided a desk heater. There was no option to change rooms. This was a two night stay, the second day I had to ask for a different room in which I requested for them to test the heat before moving. They advised that the room had heat although the thermostat never went above 69° on the second day I was only in the room for two hours and the hotel proceeded to only provide me with a 50% refund for the second night. I was not even in the room for 50% of the night. I would’ve advised to take your money elsewhere their other hotels that are more up-to-date with better amenities and can provide better service. My husband’s birthday trip ruined!
- 3/5
Really cool property with an early 1900’s, late 1800’s feel. The room was a little outdated but cozy. Very quiet property as well. Parking situation is pretty good via Metropolis. No room service was unfortunate AND I had a leaking toilet. Great location as well, walking distance from Phillips and the Inner Harbor.
- 5/5
Close to restaurants and some shopping and tourist activities
- 5/5
Clean convenient hotel. A little bit of street noise near the harbour but other than that perfectly fine hotel.
- 2/5
Clean
- 5/5
Everything was so nice! Clean spaces room with a beautiful view of the harbor. Will be booking again.
- 3/5
Three stars at best. I “upgraded” to a one bedroom suite. Either, I didn’t get the correct room or they don’t have one bedrooms suites. When I attempted to clear up the issue with my room the young lady at the desk was dismissive. I definitely would not recommend this hotel based on my experience. Paid alot to get very little in return. All in all a bad investment on my part.
- 4/5
I'm always greeted by a superb Valet team, that goes above and beyond. My requests are met in a very timely fashion, in dealing with the staff. Kev, The Bartender, TOP TIER 💯💯💯
- 5/5
The royal Sonesta was amazing. The room was very clean and the staff were very friendly. They made my Anniversary weekend special.

Excellent hotel. Rooms are clean and spacious. Convenient location on the harbour and close to the stadium

Very nice hotel in convenient location near the harbor and Federal Hill. Clean, comfortable and friendly staff.

- 4/5
The hotel was nice
- 5/5
The hotel was very clean and quiet I felt very comfortable- staff was very respectable- shout out to the valet Guy Toney
- 5/5
This is a great hotel in the Inner Harbor in Baltimore! It's a classy, unique establishment. The room was very spacious with a separate entry way with a closet, the bathroom, and a fridge and counter. The room had a large TV and a desk/workspace area. The parking was extremely convenient. Be aware that there is a $100 per day incidentals charge and budget correctly! Overall, this is a great place to stay, and I'd highly recommend it if you want a comfortable, boutique hotel in Baltimore near the Inner Harbor and within walking distance of the ballpark and football stadium.
- 4/5
My room was not clean one of the days, although I told the housekeeper to come back. The free internet connection was weak. The staff were very nice when interacting with them
- 5/5
Very quiet and clean. The condition of the room, bed and furniture were the best we’ve ever encountered. Eating establishments were few and far between but great proximity to the Inner Harbor with views from our room and so close to Camden Yards. We walked to the Orioles game. Great job, Sonesta!
- 5/5
Great location. Staff were all awesome.
- 4/5
Clean room
- 4/5
Only complaint was the amenities that made me pick this hotel were not really up to par. Sauna wasn’t working and hot tub was not even a warm tub. Otherwise, the room, view and staff were great
- 3/5
Customer Service was less than satisfactory. Requested an extra roll of toilet paper and blanket but never received it despite multiple calls. Restaurant employee was not friendly and gave misinformation on dining hours. Tub drain barely worked and water pressure for toilet was low.
- 4/5
Yes
- 5/5
The location is perfect. It is right across from the Inner Harbor area and a less than 15 minute walk to Camden Yards.
- 5/5
All staff we encountered we're kind and cheerful.
- 5/5
Clean room, very nice
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and welcoming; the room was amazing and so comfortable. Thank you!
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
Great place looking forward to staying again
- 5/5
Excellent overall
- 2/5
Then the night manager gave us an idea for late night food. I ordered and paid for, never delivered. No vending and the ice machine on our floor was broken
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
Fast and freindly service. Excellent room. Exceeded expectations!
- 2/5
Needed extra pillows and blankets and it took 2 trips to rhe front desk after 11pm to get them over about 40 minutes. Vending machine was out of all drinks. We initially also made the reservation for a cheaper rate. When i had to shorten the stay they gave me a more expensive rate and didnt tell me. Can see myself going back.
- 5/5
On the Harbor. Great location!
- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay! The room was very nice. Checking in and out was easy. Parking was easy. They had a nice coffee shop and restaurant. Close to all activities just parked and was able to walk every where.
- 5/5
Fantastic staff and centrally located with beautiful zuites.
- 5/5
One of the best hotels in the inner harbor area. Excellent facilities and within walking distance of everything.
- 5/5
Staff was very accommodating, friendly & professional. Room was very clean & the bed was made perfectly.
- 1/5
the toilet kept not working the heat wasnt working we froze and we left a day early becasue of it and they still charged us
- 5/5
Have stayed multiple times at this property. Everything from the staff and amenities are top notch.
- 2/5
Had a huge cockroach in our room. It crawled up onto the nightstand and was by our heads in bed. We were given another room, but no compensation of even a free water for having to pack up and move, or even a sorry. Its a gorgeous property though.
- 4/5
The hotel is lovely and conveniently located. Very comfortable room. The restaurant morning staff left a lot to be desired. Waitess acted like she hated her job and the food needed some flavor. Overall. We would stay there again.
- 5/5
Very nice location
- 5/5
Was ok
- 5/5
Everything was just like it suppose to be and the staff was just amazing & friendly and friendly hen I tell you very helpful OMG. The room was so clean & housekeeping was amazing. I love the shuttle service that takes U to the famous “Moe’s Seafood Restaurant drop-off & pickup in a timely manner. The view was everything & it was in walking distance across from the habor. The hotel is just in the perfect location for everything. I love it & most definitely will be back. Oh & I almost forgot about the fine dining for breakfast & dinner. Staff was just amazing. I give a 10 out of a 10.
- 5/5
From check in to time we checked out, my husband and i really enjoyed the Royal Sonesta.. i code it because of the pictures and ratings, and it doesn't disappoint. My husband loved the gym, the pool and hot tub were super relaxing. The room so comfy and clean. When ever i come back to Baltimore, i will be staying at the Royal Sonesta!
- 5/5
Very good
- 3/5
There is only one place to eat, the food was not good. There was a coffee shop, it wasn't open, employee left. No complimentary breakfast, as most hotels. Front desk employees were not friendly. I expected better especially because of the cost.
- 4/5
The staff are completely professional and very pleasant.
- 5/5
This is the most comfortable place I have stayed at. Room was cleaned every day. Bed felt like a cloud. The sauna and pool was great, not smelly like other places I’ve stayed at. And the roof top courtyard was a peace place to sit.
- 5/5
I had a wonderful experience at the Royal Sonesta. The hotel is elegant and the location great. I had car trouble and the staff was very accommodating and helpful, especially Michelle.
- 5/5
The rooms were large, it was quiet, and clean!
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
The beds and pillows were fantastic! Beat night's sleep in a while!
- 3/5
Need to instruct front desk how far cruise terminal is from hotel. Answer was it's a couple blocks and you can walk. However, we find out it's almost 2 miles away. Even in stellar shape, and luggage it would have been one long ealk
- 1/5
The hotel itself was in terrible shape, nothing about it felt “premium” despite what they advertise. From the rundown condition of the room to the lack of basic hospitality, it was a complete letdown. I was so put off by the entire experience that I checked out the following morning, unable to tolerate another day. To make matters worse, I had a hard time getting my money back.
- 5/5
Had a great stay. Good location, friendly and helpful staff, clean and spacious rooms! Will be returning!
- 5/5
Large size rooms

- 3/5
Staff were excellent
- 5/5
Nice and quiet
- 3/5
People were nice but hotel was old and dated. We felt very unsafe in downtown Baltimore which was unfortunate.
- 4/5
I loved that the hotel desk I’m guessing manager when I checked in welcomed us to Baltimore by giving us an upgraded room considering it was our first time in Baltimore. Only thing I didn’t like was the parking situation I think we miscommunicated each other and ended up having to pay the fees for two days in the parking instead of the hotel rate. Definiwas a great experience.
- 5/5
Great Staff! Super friendly and informative. Excellent recommendations!
- 4/5
We had a great stay! With in walking distance to everything we wanted to do in our short stay
- 4/5
The only problem was the wifi wasnt working for some reason

My overall trip was Great !! I will stay here again as when I pointed out issues they were addressed immediately!! The valet worker Tonya was Excellent!! The only down side was the vents in the room were dirty and I did not notice them until the last day as my sister kept coughing!! Valid thanks again to the two beautiful ladies that checked me out and addressed and issues I may have had!!
- 5/5
Amazing customer service
- 5/5
The entire staff was friendly and professional!!!!
- 5/5
Great stay with 2 of our grandchildren to see an Orioles game. The hotel had a beautiful view of the harbor, especially at night. The kids loved the pool and hot tub too. It was very convenient to the stadium. Would definitely recommend staying here!
- 5/5
Excellent staff and facility

Great stay
- 5/5
Friendly, courteous staff; convenient location; clean and nicely appointed rooms.
- 4/5
Great location at the harbor. The staff was very friendly. The room was nice and cleanliness was good. The rooms could use an update in the near future. If you need a microwave ask the front desk they will bring one to your room
- 1/5
The shower didn’t work. The hot tub was warm at best. Their restaurant had four star process for two star quality. Parking was twice the price of the garage down the street. They nickel and dimed your for ever amenity.
- 5/5
The staff was friendly, the breakfast was fantastic & our room overlooking the Inner Harbor was awesome!!
- 5/5
Loved everything
- 4/5
Very accommodating
- 4/5
Staff was welcoming and friendly the food at the restaurant inside was delicious We stayed 1 night but wished we could've stayed longer
- 5/5
Beautiful Inner Harbor view, helpful desk staff, easy access to free circulator bus, short walk to Camden Yards. Would definitely return if in Baltimore again.
- 5/5
FANTASTIC location!! Bed was comfy and room was spacious. They held our bags while we explored before check in. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating!
- 5/5
This is a nice hotel.
- 2/5
Very old and different from the photos on the website.
- 5/5
Our family & party of 3 arrived and were immediately greeted by Michelle & James who were at check in, and let me tell you they were awesome ! Super friendly, we’re ready to check us in but we were off to the aquarium first. When we got back they were on point again and had us set up in no time, meanwhile James made my son feel super important and told him about all the amenities esp the pool which he was most excited for. Super helpful and overly friendly and knowledgeable! Will be back to royal sonesta again because of their hospitality. Thank you both !

I am a very dissatisfied and disgruntled customer. My stay with with this hotel was spoiled by the staff. I do plan to reach out to seek a refund for this horrible experience. There were broken items in the room. There was dirt. I was we were accused it was just horrible.

But, absolutely no information about available restaurants, activities in nearby inner harbor area; Front desk manager. Not at all responding sieve or helpful in providing aforementioned information; Dining room service was slow, at best Overall, pleasant physical ambiance

I wasn't aware of how ghetto Baltimore is. Not a safe place to walk around at night. Even in the daytime, large groups of black youth are loitering or riding bikes like they own the sidewalks. The aquarium was nice but the fish looked nervous too.

Everything, including the water is right across the street.

We liked the convenience to the inner harbor which allowed us to explore the area.

The staff was very kind and helpful. And the room was very nice and very clean.

Hardly any staff on site to accommodate

We truly enjoyed our stay and would chose to stay there again. Our only advice is to please have some free coffee available in the lobby, an try to improve the breakfast at the restaurant on site - that was not a good experience (actually was a pretty bad experience) on what is an otherwise superb hotel!

The parking….OMG! It used to be awesome and you’d get a ticket that let you in and out. They now have everything done through your phone which means every time you leave the garage, you’re texted and asked to pay $84 but you actually don’t have to pay anything. But you do have to get out of your car while it’s sitting at the gate and try to find someone, ANYONE, that works in/at the garage, which takes a good 20 minutes at best.

Only suggestion would be better signage for ice machines

My stay was okay, all the staff were super friendly. However, I did pick this hotel for the hot tub amenity and after walking around Baltimore all day, we came back to enjoy the hot tub and i kid you not there was a woman with 10 kids all under the age of 10 in this hot tub…. We did see a staff member go over to her but she made no attempt to get her kids out of the hot tub. For the record, i too have kids but common sense would tell me not to let my kids splash around in a hot tub that they’re not supposed to be in especially when there were other guests besides us that would have liked to have gone in. I just wished this could have been taken care of.
