Reviews
The hotel's location in Fells Point is highly praised, offering convenient access to shops, restaurants, and the harbor. However, the cleanliness and condition of the rooms are consistently criticized, with reports of stains, dirt, and outdated facilities. The staff is generally described as friendly and helpful, but the hotel's amenities, such as parking and breakfast, are often found lacking.

The William Fell is right in the middle of the action of Fells Point. Great location! Anything and everything you could want in terms of food, drink, dessert is right there. The rooms are super clean and the hotel staff, especially the valets, are friendly. My only “issue” was the noise outside the hotel late into the night. Bring a sound machine or earplugs if you want to fall asleep. AC could have been a little colder (it was 103 degrees, so I would say it was probably cranking all day). Definitely would stay here again.

Beautiful hotel! Great staff!

The room was beautiful, clean, spacious and had everything you could need. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Id definitely come back. Great location. Can't think of a thing.

We love staying at this property! It has a comfortable boutique feel and is in a great location! We traveled to Baltimore to see baseball games at Camden yards and enjoy spending time in Fells Point eating, shopping, etc.
- 4/5
Not sure the front steps are for everyone (tall and steep).
- 5/5
Staff so friendly and helpful. Decor is charming!
- 5/5
Excellent location with beautiful cobblestone streets. Walking distance to bars and restaurants Updated rooms with quirky angular walls since they combined many historical buildings. Short staircases on some floors.
- 5/5
The only thing that needed to be fixed was the faucet in the bathroom. It was fixed right away

The hotel is located in the historic Fell’s Point neighborhood, within walking distance of a wide variety of bars and restaurants. The room was cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated. There is also an inexpensive parking garage just a few blocks away. One of the biggest highlights of the hotel is the speakeasy bar in the basement and its bartender, Steve, who is truly a Baltimore ambassador. Every cocktail he made was genuinely a piece of art. I can honestly say I had the best cocktail of my life there. Cheers to Steve! Due to the abundance of bars in the district, it may feel too noisy at night. The rooms don't have great soundproofing.

The hotel is rather small but quaint ,lovely decorated, clean with a great location !

The staff is phenomenal, In particular Nick at the front desk. He was always so kind, helpful and ready with a smile! Thank you Nick for everything, you truly made our stay special!!! The snacks, and drinks that are put out throughout the day are a wonderful touch! The configuration of the room made it difficult to move around. And we would frequently bump into furniture, resulting in cuts and bruises.

The valet team were all very helpful and polite. We had a great stay overall. Location in Fells Point is such a quaint part of town. Would definitely book again.

The look from the outside It is loud at night and the windows aren’t noise-canceling. We did not like how expensive this place is for the overall experience and quality if the room and staff. The carpet in the rooms look dirty There’s no light where the desk is, which means we couldn’t work from there. I would not stay here again nor recommend it to anyone

Excellent location, wonderful hotel, and great staff!

Clean room. Staff was amazing. The only thing I don’t Ike was that the window was unlocked and there was no screen in the window. Everything was amazing.
- 5/5
Great speak easy bar in basement - hotel quaint & lots to do in the area
- 4/5
Good hotel in Fell's Point, Baltimore. Several restaurants and bars nearby. The shower water took around 10 minutes to get hot in the mornings.
- 2/5
Nice hotel BUT don't stay here when it's even slightly warm because the rooms are hot and stuffy. There is no way to control the temp in the room. The noise from fells point bars are right outside your room so if you don't plan to partake in the all night partying don't plan to sleep because it's impossible. The $65 valet parking is ridiculous. The valet was super nice but he needed help as it took a long time to get our car. I would not recommend this hotel.

The location of this hotel is ideal for the Fell Point neighborhood. Staff were wonderful and incredibly helpful. We did valet and service was prompt and professional when moving our car. The building is old, sounds travel through the hotel. This is not terrible but guests should expect given the age and design of the floors/rooms. The speakeasy in the lower level was a fun spot and the bartender (Steve) is fantastic. All the staff I interacted with provided top notch service. I cannot be more pleased with our stay.

- 4/5
The room was comfortable and clean, location is excellent, and valet friendly and efficient (although pricey).
- 5/5
Wonderful friendly staff love the location of where it was at and such a wonderful area

We stayed for a girls weekend to explore Fells Point. The location could not be more perfect. Right on the main corner in the midst of all the shops and restaurants, and completely walkable. The decor is very cool, unique, and historic. We had a 2 queen bed room for a great price. The fitness room is smallish but completely sufficient, with a variety of weights and equipment. The staff was very friendly upon check in and throughout our stay. There are gorgeous views from the top floor, and a sitting area. The only very slight negative I can say is due to the older building, the floors are creaky, and you can easily hear walking around, doors opening and closing, and conversations in halls. The hotel was not busy so it wasn't too much of an issue, but I can imagine if the rooms are full and you have louder guests who stay up late and come and go at all hours it could be an issue for someone who is very noise sensitive like I am. We had a room on the back of the building not facing the street so there wasn't any outdoor noise, but I can imagine facing the street it may get loud due to the busy area.

Great location! We will be back.

The staff and location are second to none. Because the building is historically old, there isn't a modern heating and cooling system. This made for very uncomfortable sleeping. The site should consider fans for the rooms
- 1.5/5
The main problem is noice. We didn’t sleep either night until after 3am when the drunks finally went home.

The man from the front desk was super nice. The area where the hotel was located was charming. Not to mention, the coffee they offer in the room made our morning extra special. Super clean room and great size.
- 5/5
Expensive. But, worth every penny. The room is sizable, the design of the hotel is unique and beautiful. The food was delicious! The beds were comfortable! Everything was amazing!
- 5/5
Staff was informative, professional, and friendly. The building and rooms were charming and comfortable, but the windows did allow in a considerable amount of street noise. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and short Uber ride from most sites of interest.

In the heart of Fells Point with easy access to show and restaurants however on a Saturday evening expect street noise until 1 am

Room very nice however heat was cranked up and we could not get it cooler, room was like a sauna. Staff brushed it off. Great location
- 4/5
Hotel is a historic building in a vibrant neighborhood with lots to offer shopping, dining, and entertainment. Staff was very friendly and courteous, went extra mile with the Army Navy gift bags.

Comfortable mattress, lovely terrace/balcony. Amazing location - very walkable to many shops and bars/restaurants. Old building so there was a bit of an issue with heat and water temp (super old system, so likely had to do with the boiler and being able to regulate the temperatures. Krystal was lovely, she brought up 2 fans to help cool the room and recommended we turn off the HVAC all together which definitely helped. Housekeeping was lack luster but not a huge dealbreaker. I do wish they had offered to help get our luggage to the car (handicapped entrance was the only way to use the bell hop carts and it wasn’t the easiest to maneuver - and it popped you out to a side street). We parked off site at a close garage since valet was the only option at a whopping $75 A NIGHT! Total for the garage for 4 days was a little over $100. All in all we enjoyed the hotel and would stay again.
- 4/5
Front desk staff was courteous. Valet staff were helpful and courteous. Tim the bartender in the basement bar was wonderful. The bar stools need to be replaced and the brass footrest needs to be polished and fixed to meet Hilton standards.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff
- 5/5
We had stayed in this hotel, then called The Admiral Fell, many years ago. In its new incarnation as a Hilton, the hotel remains a terrific choice for a Baltimore trip. Fells Point (its location) has many restaurants, cafes, and little shops, and is very near by car from the Inner Harbor and museums. The staff at the hotel was lovely and efficient and the room was spotless and comfortable.
- 5/5
The location is GREAT. Right in the middle of Fells Point, everything super walkable. The hotel is very pretty and charming. It felt very clean and well taken care of. The hotel also has a nice-sized private courtyard in which you can smoke without bothering anyone. Two small issues: 1, On one day, housekeeping did not visit our room despite hanging a tag asking for service. Perhaps they were understaffed that day? The hotel felt clean in the common areas, and when housekeeping did visit, they did a wonderful job; and 2, parking is expensive ($65/night).
- 4/5
This is a gorgeous old building almost on the water. The rooms are nice and more spacious than the pictures suggest. The bathroom in my room was stunning. I do wish the room provided free water. There is both a separate restaurant and bar located in the hotel, with very different vibes with each. The staff were overall friendly, but they do seem to be a bit short-staffed.
- 5/5
Clean room, great view, fun neighborhood, friendly and professional staff
- 3/5
Room was ok but lighting was odd/too low, took 20 minutes to get hot water in the morning, and the worst part is the original windows. They have no sound insulation so was listening to tow trucks tow cars all evening and into the early hours of the morning.
- 5/5
Really enjoyed being so close to water and shops and restaurants
- 5/5
Spotless room, and staff was courteous, helpful, and responsive.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean
- 5/5
GREAT STAFF!
- 5/5
Staff was excellent. The location is unbeatable. The room was clean and comfortable with lovely amenities. Quiet despite being on main drag of Fells. And the rooms with a deck are next level!!!
- 4/5
Everyone was super friendly, and the bed and pillows were awesome. Could not regulate the temperature of the water in the bathroom shower was scolding hot and couldn’t reduce it.
- 5/5
Great stay, will stay again!
- 5/5
Excellent service, loved the lobby service (coffee and treats - especially the Goethe’s caramels!). Our electronic blinds weren’t working but Robert stopped by and made sure they were fixed and even followed up to make sure we were happy! Excellent communication around the festival and loved the dog cookies in the lobby entry, so sweet and welcoming!
- 5/5
Friendly and helpful staff, big clean rooms and very nice area.
- 5/5
Definitely a cool little spot. Right in the heart of Fell’s Point: cobblestone streets, cool bars, fly restaurants, right by the water. Baltimore is def a vibe. Didn’t know what to expect, but it certainly exceeded expectations.
- 4/5
and nostalgic, but definitely needs an overhaul with the infrastructure, especially the sewer systems.
- 1/5
Our room’s bathroom did not work and they did not fix it while we were there. Absolutely inexcusable.
- 4/5
Room was clean and the staff is amazing. Everyone was very accommodating! The only drawback is the constant smell of sewer but people in the area say it’s basically what Baltimore is starting to smell like. Really too bad it’s a beautiful city, especially the inner Harbor.
- 4/5
We love this hotel. Great location and our room was nice and quiet. Only downside was that housekeeping hadn’t done a great job in our room restocking things before we arrived. No shampoo, no coffee for the coffee maker and we had almost no toilet paper. We had to go to the front desk and ask for these items. Other than that, a great stay.
- 4/5
Great little hotel. Well placed next to restaurants and the port.
- 5/5
The location is Perfect. The Bars and Restaurants were within walking distance. The Staff was excellent.
- 5/5
This is the second time I've stayed there. It is a great place. I love that they are dog friendly. Very engaging and asking how things are going. Easy to find. Very helpful. Staff and I checked in. Just wish they would have fixed the sink drain so it didn't fall in every time and have to be pulled out.
- 5/5
We had a terrific stay, and the staff was lovely to interact with.
- 5/5
Staff was super friendly and helpful
- 5/5
Unique
- 5/5
Room was clean and comfortable, front desk staff was welcoming and accommodating.
- 5/5
The building itself is old and retrofitted, so the layout is maze like and a bit disorienting when you get off the elevator. The walls are on the thinner side so you do hear the TV in adjacent rooms. Since the hotel is situated in the middle of a lively district it can get noisy. You can hear conversations on the street if they are loud enough. Also, the roads are cobblestone so you do hear the cars roll by.
- 5/5
The hotel looks amazing and smells great! We stayed there last year before the remodel and what a positive difference this year. They have a courteous, friendly, attentive staff who are eager to help you. We can't wait for our next visit--Thank- you so much!
- 5/5
This property is in the heart of Fells Point and you can walk everywhere. Sparkle made our check in easy and fun!
- 5/5
IHG bought it and renovated it and it came out so nice. Love the little bar downstairs and also they bought the restaurant next door which was a nice place for brunch. We have stayed at admirals fell point (old name) many times and the renovation was a nice addition. Fells point is a nice fun place.
- 5/5
I lived in Baltimore 12 years ago and this was my first time returning to the area since leaving. This hotel was in a prime location in Fells Point and was absolutely beautiful. The room was a great size with a beautiful huge balcony overlooking all of the action. The shower had some of the best pressure I have experienced in a hotel! Check in/out was a breeze and staff made it really easy to make requests via text. I would highly recommend this hotel and location and will be back soon!
- 5/5
Great, modern hotel in the heart of Fells Point, a block from the waterfront, shops and restaurants.
- 5/5
The entire staff was so friendly and welcoming. Very clean throughout the entire place. Top notch! Definitely would stay again. The farmers market right outside the front door was an added bonus.

Thoroughly enjoyed Fell area, hotel was really good value.
- 5/5
Please pass along my thanks to the entire staff, they were so fun and accommodating. This was a big day for me and I felt like I was among friends ❤️🍀💯
- 4/5
Had breakfast in the restaurant 2 mornings and was surprised that couldn’t get a Bloody Mary. The restaurant is open early but they don’t sell alcohol until 11am for some reason.
- 5/5
Great location and a very nice staff. Cute boutique hotel. The room is nice and the bed is comfy. Be prepared to pay $60 per night for valet parking at the hotel...which is steep. The sign outside the hotel notes $50 for parking however they add 20% tax on top of that, which is extreme and likely not passed on to the valet as a tip, so you tip..on top of that too. If you only travel with an overnight bag, it's definitely worth finding another garage/lot in the area, which would save you some money. Lastly, housekeeping was fine, room was clean, however they should leave an extra roll of TP as you are only left with, whatever was already on the roll. If you run out, you are literally SOL. So they need to either provide a fresh roll, or at the least leave an extra roll. Paying 20% taxes on parking, I shouldn't feel like the TP is being rationed out, nor should a guest have to ask for more as I overheard another guest do. Overall, great stay, not a deal breaker. When you know better you do better. I know better about the parking.
- 5/5
Front desk was super nice and the beds are the most comfortable beds. I’ve slept in a very long time!!
- 5/5
It's uniquely historic in appearance and locale
- 5/5
We worked with Krystal several times as she gave us directions, updated our reservation for late check-out and found restaurant menus for our convenience. We met other employees and all were gracious and welcoming.

We are absolutely staying at this hotel again next time we are in Baltimore
- 5/5
The history in this entire area was great. This hotel is in an area that has alot of restaurants and bars and is easy to walk everywhere. We will be back again.
- 3/5
The room was nice and very clean. Bed was very comfortable and provided great sleep. I was also pleasantly surprised that the room was cleaned daily like back before covid.
- 5/5
Super friendly staff and easy coming and going. Lots of food and drinks within walking distance!
- 5/5
Best location wonderfun
- 5/5
Great location with a tavern upstairs and a speakeasy downstairs. Variety of bars and restaurants all within walking distance. Recently updated and lovely decor. Will be back!

Parking in this place is not the best, vallet is quite expensive but other than the hotel is nice
- 5/5
The William Fell is a brand new hotel which opened in April of 2025. Located in Fell's Point in Baltimore, it is in the perfect location if you want to explore this neighborhood of fun shops, restaurants, bars, and attractions. The staff are really nice and very helpful. The room was pristine and the bed was comfortable. The TV enables a guest to access their Netflix, Disney, etc. accounts, besides access to live TV. My room was very quiet and I didn't hear other guests or hall noise. The William Fell is supposed to be one of the most haunted places in Baltimore, though I didn't experience anything.
- 5/5
Hotel was great. The front staff was not very helpful but everything else was great
- 5/5
The front desk staff all went above and beyond. The hotel was clean quiet and super comfortable bed. Valet parking made it very easy. Then we walked or ubered. We had an issue w our toilet but it was as we were leaving and the front desk was very gracious. The staff there made the visit and we would come back bc of the service. It was convenient to have the restaurant for breakkfast in the am
- 4/5
The hotel is completely renovated from the original admirals Fells inn. the lobby is beautiful now. I would give it five stars but the drain in the sink in the room. The stopper was inoperative and the door had a problem closing. It was a pleasant stay and would definitely go back . Everything is in walking distance
- 4/5
The restaurant was okay, service was great. The staff were very nice and attentive at all times. The only downside were the fruit flies and the smoke alarm was triggered by the shower steam.
- 5/5
This hotel is beautiful. Pictures online does no justice. Room and bathroom are nice and spacious.
- 5/5
So cute and in a great neighborhood. Will be back.
- 5/5
Excellent location great, STAFF great restaurants, great area
- 5/5
The property was a lovely and convenient place to stay for a visit to John’s Hopkins.
- 4/5
The hotel location was perfect. Close to everything. Shopping, the beautiful water, restaurants, bars, water taxi etc. the staff was wonderful. Krystal was warm and welcoming and everyone always asked how you were and if you needed anything. My only gripe was it was so loud in the room at night. You could hear people’s conversations, cars, the bar music. The tv wasnt even drowning out the noise. But other than that, it was clean, safe and a great place with alot to do. Just dont stay on the city side if you want quiet at night
