    Friendly staff, good location. Breakfast is available if you pay extra, not within the hotel but the restaurant adjacent to the property. Parking is not part of the stay, it is $30 per night. The fridge in one of the rooms I reserved wasn't working and we needed it for medicine but the front desk staff was helpful in providing alternate options.

    To explore the city catch the airport shuttle to the train it’s cheaper and there is nothing around that area to do . Besides from that comfort stay at the hotel and the staff was amazing . I was happy for the Microwave in the room.

    The staff were pleasant, particularly Jennifer who worked the front desk. She was so nice and very informative. The cleanliness was another matter. The pool was very cloudy. In a pool 4.3 feet deep, I couldn't even see my own feet touching the bottom of the pool. At first, I didn't think anything of it. I trusted that the pool wouldn't be open unless it was safe enough to swim in. However, that wasn't so because after two days of swimming, my nephew wound up with a UTI.

    So the reason I gave low stars was due to check in and information not given. The staff also had an attitude well the first lady we saw. One the deposit was $100 per stay but showed a screenshot saying the deposit was $20/nt. Next, problem was if you're a guest and the primary guest you have to pay $30 a night for parking, which wasnt no where on hotels.com nor was it told to me until check in. Also even though me and my best friend ids don't say anything about living in IL. we were told we would have to pay for both cars. Which is crazy for out of town guests. Every hotel have out of town guestsSo the total came out to an extra $120 on top of the deposit being $100 as well as the hotel itself was around 500 for the weekend stay. Yes this made me and my friend highly upset because the hotel was already expensive but to have extra fees was ridiculous. The staff then tried to ask her manager but was being rude about it and it just made everything worse

    I’m retired now, only travel for enjoyment; but I spent many years traveling for business. Never in 30 years did I feel so dismissed and unappreciated as a customer. That woman working the desk needs to find a job that she enjoys! Unfortunately, Courtyard by Marriot Chicago Midway, will not be a future choice for me.

    The room was dirty, still had others belongings + stains in the bed. I was also not informed of a parking fee. I was not informed you had to pay to park outside of the building, it’s $25/a day & I was charged for 3 full days when I only booked 2 nights the same day & didn’t check in or come until night time & left 7am checkout day so I was really only parked for a day. I basically paid $400 at this place when I could’ve paid $200-$250 with free parking at the place I usually go to.

    Desk Staff- Perfect. Excellent. Room- 2 Kings (hard and dented on ntstand sides, full sz sofa bed. BIG TV-great. A/C Heat unit-Smelled. FILTERS WERE FILTHY. I tried to wipe off the worst, and then washed them in tub bc dirt/dust was flying. Well, the tub drain was clogged so water filled up and the dirt went everywhere and I couldnt get it down. I put the filters back. But- the A/C did not work well- temp wouldn't regulate and kept shutting off. SHOWER- TERRIBLE. NO PRESSURE. SLOPING TUB WALLS- NOT SAFE. Housekeeping- I left instructions to leave the bed linens and room alone. I bring my own to accommodate my stability leg and neck needs. It takes awhile to set it up and can be difficult to put it the way I need it to be if the hotel bedding is tucked tightly. Iasked them to ONLY clean the tub and empty the trash. I had also moved furniture & fixed the room with peepads for Annie (SD) and her food/water bowl. Hotel staff didn't honor my request and returned the room to original condition! I had returned to the room hoping for a nice leisurely nap bf the next obligation. I was exhausted. NOPE- I had to set the entire room up again and it took alot of effort for this disabled person. I was already worn out. Good points- Suzette and her friends took great care of us and did everything possible to make our stay pleasant, in spite of the room problems. I also loved the size of the room.

    Everything was fine save for the needed reconstruction at the front entrance, meaning we had to enter thru a small back door at the end of a hall. Also, the next time you and the allied hotels jointly buy a shuttle van, get one with more steps. The final one, from the van stairs to the pavement was a foot-and-a-half vertical drop. Even in daylight,it would have been a nazard. At night--when I arrived--it's downright dangerous.

    This was a last minute booking because the elevator at our original hotel was broken. This property is 5 minutes from the airport BUT I never heard a plane. It was very quiet. The beds were comfortable - 2 king bed room. It was spacious enough for adults. We also had a mini fridge and microwave which are always a bonus. I’ve never had a problem with a Marriott property and I was pleased with this one.

    The receptionist was terrible on replying for room change request. One receptionist was looking for any available options while the other one stopped and started saying there are no options, all rooms are booked or being cleaned even without looking in the system. When I asked what if we can change the room later. She said you can’t once you check in to this room. We were left with no choice to stay in the room. Very unwelcoming reception.

    I stay in one of the hotels in the same plaza on Cicero every year for north coast music festival during Labor Day weekend, but it was my first time staying at the courtyard. Clean room and property all around, lobby was quiet. Despite the construction it wasn’t too bothersome. I want to acknowledge the lovely black lady (Susan or Suzanne? ) for being so wonderful and a great help during my stay. She added on my bonvoy member info because I forgot to include it during booking, helped with updating a late check out for the booking, and even offered snacks when I came back in the middle of the night from the festival on the way to my room. She was so sweet and a great help. On the last day when I was checking out, a front desk lady with red hair named analia was very kind and helpful as well with providing a smooth check out process. I will be coming back!

    I didn’t like that I arrived around 4:00 PM and was told that my type of room was not ready. I was told to take a seat. After 5 other guest came in and checked in, I was called back because the switched some rooms around. Still trying to process, I didn’t book a special room.

    When I checked in, though, the clerk didn't say anything about housekeeping not coming in unless I specifically asked for it (I overheard another clerk giving that info to another guest, via phone, who was calling to find out where housekeeping was). I never had my trashcans emptied while I was there.

    The property was really clean and the staff was extra nice. My room was nice and clean with a pleasant smell. Hallways were clean. The noise was minimum. The only downfall to my room was that the socket at the sink did not work. I had to curl my hair in the bedroom area. Otherwise, great stay. Great hotel.

    The Courtyard was under construction during our stay. It was not a good time. We were not aware of tthe construction when we booked our trip so it was quite shocking when we arrived to find no restaurant, no downstairs bathroom and paster and plastic covering everything.

    The stay was alright except they cut the water off at 9am because of remodeling the building then they had a power outage while we were watching Tv no type of warning at all couldn’t print out receipt because of printer down from power outage no offers of reimbursement for No water when check out wasn’t until noon smh recommend but not recommend during whole remodeling process if water continues to get shut off due to it!!

    Check in was 3. They were still cleaning rooms at that point. So they said we could not get in till like five or 6 PM. Then once we got to our room, it was not the room we requested and the toilet was disgusting. So then we had to change rooms. The pool was ice cold not heated. you can literally hear the wind whistling through the windows the whole night.

    I was surprised to see that I was charged for parking. There was hair on bathroom towel. A yellow stain on sink towel. Lamp shades were damaged and cracked. One of the drapes was hanging off rod. There was a piece of twiks candy on the floor by the foot of bed. It certainly didn’t feel like I booked a room at the Marriott. It certainly wasn’t worth the price I paid. I forgot to mention the smell of smoke outside my room

    When checking in I requested a 2:30am wakeup call, it never happened. My flight from Midway to Atlanta was departing at 6:00am and I needed the additional time. None the less it put me in a position that I was trying to avoid. Now it becomes a rushing event to get to the airport parking garage, catch a bus to the terminal, wait for a wheelchair to come and assist. It's not the way I wanted to start the holiday off.

    To our surprise, we had to pay $24 for parking. The people were friendly. The room and elevators could use some upgrades. The sofa was very hard and uncomfortable. The remote for the television didn’t work well. Very close to Midway Airport.

    When i booked our reservation for one night, i never saw anything that says you have to pay to park in the hotel parking lot. I went back and looked at confirmation emails and it wasnt on those either. The lady checking us in was very rude about it and had an attitude the more questions we asked. Very unhappy with our check in experience but other than that this place is a good stay.

    Please include any possible additional charges, such as for parking, up front or even include it in the price. Would have stayed somewhere else had we known we would have to pay an additional $24 just to park our car at the hotel. The lady at the front desk was polite and offered us "free" breakfast for the inconvenience. However the "free" breakfast only partially covered the cost of the breakfast, again misleading me into a decision I would have made differently had I known I would have to still pay.

    We enjoyed our stay. I did ask about a check in incidental deposit being that no one really uses those anymore. I was told that they could not waive those. Yet I never received mine back! Go figure. The bath tub backed up terribly during showers. No vents in the restroom so there's that. The bed was comfy, but pillows flatten quickly. Need to update that. I asked for room service from TGIFs which is connected, yet, still paid out of pocket for that delivery. Again, I ask, what was the incidental charge for and where did it go. There are a lot of properties within that vicinity right down from Midway Airport which is perfect. Parking seemed included which was nice as well. We still enjoyed our lovely stay in spite of my unanswered questions.

    The check in was great. Staff was very nice. Cleaning lady did not speak English well but she was very nice. Rooms were ok. Carpets in room either need to be cleaned or replaced. There were stains all over the carpet. The television that sits on the dresser needs to sit up higher because when you are lying in the bed it’s very uncomfortable trying to look at it. Suggestion, upon arrival and checking in, we should be reminded to request room service
