Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bend South by IHG

Waited a long time to check in which was frustrating, standing in the lobby with my bags while no one was at the desk for a while, the person in front of me went back to their car. The staff was nice when they finally came back though. Room was dirty. Decided against using the shower which was very frustrating after a long day of traveling. Dog hair all over the seating in the room. Stains all over carpet. Hair on the floor in the bathroom. All corners had black dirt and dust and crumbs. Dust on lighting fixtures. Lamp didn’t work. Fan in bathroom didn’t work. Fridge so loud had to unplug it to sleep. Smelled like perfume, not cleaning supplies. No trash bags in the trash cans. Definitely hasn’t been cleaned properly in a long time. I was too tired from traveling that I just dealt with it since I was only staying 1 night but will not stay again.

Everything I read about Holiday Inn Express Bend Oregon, turned out in person far better than what was in print. The hotel's Location: which made for easy trips to downtown for walking, shopping and food choices that will cram your mind till it hurts. All staff members seemed to possess a "Make it so" attitude; a front desk staff member was multi-tasking towels, answering phone calls and guests created a miracle for my sister. He found a way to approve my sister's spontaneous request to extend her stay one more night. One must remember that the hotel was nearly full at this time. I must not forget the parking lot, back door areas and fire escapes showed signs of motivated cleaning staff. I would most definitely stay at Holiday Inn Bend Oregon again. You won't be disappointed.

This hotel is on the southern fringe of Bend-but close to everything. Plenty of parking with nice sized rooms. Great value for the $. Their breakfasts are always consistently good-especially their cinnamon rolls.

The breakfast spread was pretty good, and the pool was perfect for my kid to play in. Abd the rooms were great! The only thing I wish was different was that there were smart TVs so I could link up my streaming services.

We stayed two separate nights with a week and the rooms were very clean both nights. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was different both nights we stayed which made it nice for our kids. Overall very nice place to stay.

I was so impressed with the staff's efficiency! Check in was a breeze and when we learned our TV wasn't working, Housekeeping was on it in a flash. Next morning at breakfast an employee was constantly working to ensure everything was stocked, clean, stirred, loaded and emptied. There were a lot of families and dogs during our stay.

Nice continental breakfast and friendly staff

This is a wonderful hotel! The night staff gentleman immediately changed our room to the type we needed, my mistake in booking, and gave us a choice of floors. The breakfast was phenomenal, it says buffet and they mean it! Warm full size cinnamon rolls, bacon, sausage, omelets, I could go on and on. Oh and freshly ground coffee!! It was very quiet and our granddaughter said the pool was just right and she had had a lot of experience with pools! And may I say thank you again to the staff person who caught that I left my purse at the table!! That would have ruined an already stressful trip for a funeral...this stay really helped a difficult few days.

The person on the front desk who checked us in was fantastic. I didn’t get her name but she was as the only one there that I could tell. She went above and beyond to make us and our service animal feel welcomed. Fast, efficient, and friendly. The rooms were thoughtfully set up and very clean. Lots of power options. Although our room was by the ice machine and elevator, it was quiet.

The room was clean, the beds made, and towels readily available in the bathroom. There was an extra roll of toilet paper, and lotions, soap, and other toiletries were available for use. The room had a nice coffeemaker accompanied with a selection of morning-type drinks (coffee, tea). The room had more than an adequate outlets for computer, cell phone, and other electronic to keep them charged. The TV was quite large with a nice, crisp picture. The general decor in the room was tasteful. The staff were all cordial and helpful. They all seemed to keep busy but would stop to answer questions or assist with something. The parking was plentiful, and I was pleased with the welcome dogs received.

The best part about this hotel was the staff because they were incredibly helpful, courteous, patient and super informative about the area. The hotel and grounds were very clean and well kept, and it was easy to get to from the main highway.

I was originally going to leave a 1 star review, but the hotel was in excellent shape and I'm not 100% sure who is responsible for my problem. I've used Hotels.com dozens of times to get rooms. I always got exactly what I've ordered. After an exhausting day of driving I arrived at the hotel. When I checked in and went to my room, I saw it was a double queen room. I pulled up my reservation and it clearly showed I had a paid-in-full King room reserved. I went back downstairs and was told "you ordered a standard room" (which is what 80% of the hotel's rooms are). "We don't guarantee the type of bed comes with that type of room” I tried several times to get the woman at the front desk to look at my reservation on my phone to prove my point. She refused. She said "I go by what's in my computer and it doesn't specify a room". I went to my room and contacted hotels.com. In my chat they confirmed I had reserved a king room and sent me a copy of it. They told me they would contact the hotel. The hotel told them that the reservation they had said two queens (I was told by the hotel it didn't specify any room type). hotels.com said all they could do was apologize and that they would send me a small credit towards future purchases. Later my wife went back down and the front desk repeted there was no room type on the reservation. I'm not sure where the fault is, but I do know that reserving and paying for a king bed at this hotel does not guarantee you will get one.

I gave a 3 star rating for a previous stay because of being in rm 101, next to the noisy stairwell. This time, Rm 102, had no issues. So, which room you have matters. On the eco issue, the hotel tries, but people have no concept of recycling, so it all turns out a waste. A people problem, not the hotel.

Overall was very pleased with our stay and bedding was very comfortable. The kids loved the pool, i did wish that they had a Jacuzzi but still had a pleasant stay!

Rm 102 is very noisy, due to people going up and down the next door stairs. Bed head boards are right against the shared wall with the stairs.

The room was spacious with room to store our stuff. We had our dog with us, and he tends to bark when people are at our door at home. So I was worried he would bark at sounds outside the hotel door. But the hotel was well insulated, so there weren't any loud sounds. The air conditioner was great. Most hotels have air conditioners that wake us up when they turn on or off. This one was so much better. It kept the room cool without being excessively loud at night. The shower had great water pressure and the bath products were Dove brand, so great for the skin. The breakfast had ample choices, plus the area had outdoor seating so we could eat outside with our dog. I don't understand hotels that allow dogs but don’t actually have space for them. This hotel thought of everything. The beds were very comfortable and each bed had 4 pillows, which was great. Very pleased with everything in this hotel!

The room is spacious, bed comfortable, tons of outlet for devices, table for luggages, continental breakfest, and only 15 min from beautiful downtown Bend. Plenty of free parking.

Internet not good

Not being a coffee drinker, I didn't notice the paper cups in the coffee nook, so I didn't think any cups or glasses were provided in the room. I found them when getting ready to check out. The hair dryer was in the closet rather than the bathroom, where I would expect it to be.
