    Got into our room and the comforter was dirty and had stains on it. The walls are super thin and heard everything. Bathtub looked like it was pieced together and the shower curtain was to small and water got all over the ground.

    We stayed here because it appeared to be the only hotel in the area that accepts cats. So please, unless you’re traveling with a feline, be sure to avoid this establishment! Oh, and it was expensive to boot!

    No elevators should be made clear. For guests in their 70s, it is very difficult to carry luggage up and down stairs not to mention the safety hazard it creates. Staff was friendly but room had chipped paint everywhere and didn’t smell good.

    This property was supposedly recently 'updated', but the couch/hide a bed in the room was very worn and uncomfortable to even sit on. The mattress was also worn so much you could see the indentations on the mattress where people normally sleep even with the bedspread on. You couldn't adjust the shower head spray at all. The AC in the room was OK once we found you needed to control it at the unit. There was a thermostat in the room but apparently not connected. Won't be staying there again.

    The room was clean and the staff were friendly. BUT ... I thought the hotel was closed and abandoned when we first drove up because it doesn't look like anyone has ever pulled a weed or done any maintenance to the exterior. The room was in need of repairs in several areas and the bed was just adequate. Not that we planned to use it, but the pool was shut down. My husband ventured down for the breakfast only the first morning and quickly returned because he said what was there didn't look edible and most of the areas weren't set up with food. It was very, very expensive for what it was but it was a place to sleep and that's all we needed. Thank God I felt the room was clean and trusted that or we wouldn't have stayed. Someone desperately needs to come overhaul this property and spruce things up.

    It was fine, but nothing special. Definitely dated, even though it appears maybe some recent paint. Curtains were yellowed, there was hair still in the tub and the shower curtain wasnt long enough to stay in the tub. Towels were terrible and bed had big sagging indentations. There was no water in the pool, even though we didnt intend on using it. For the cost of the room, I would have expected a nicer place. Only interacted with the check-in desk, but he was nice and welcoming and checkin was quick and easy. Overall, it was fine but not great.

    "Stairs only" is listed under accommodations on Expedia listing -- not under general property characteristics. If older, but you don't need special accommodation, you may not review the accommodation stmt. But you still may not be able to take a suitcase up a flight of stairs safely. Was I cranky due to the 9-hr drive or was the clerk a little smug when she asked me if I still wanted the room (at 7:30 pm far from home and destination)? Likely both. Someone said they would help with the suitcases, but were long coming -- hotel seemed minimally staffed (our luggage was next to an unlocked, unwatched outer door which was concerning). TV didn't work; got new controller battery; still didn't work; used TV manual buttons, but channel selector didn't work. Plumbing next door woke us when used. Well-used room (frayed furniture, chipped paint, not cleanest area rug; room phone static impossible). Received text welcoming me to Wyndham club saying I signed up (I did not, and the "unsubscribe" took me to a nonworking page). Breakfast was typical but no decaf, no lactose free, little gluten-free (scrambled eggs, yogurt, orange, spicy-hot sausages), hot water less than lukewarm. Pre-check-in required inline ID upload (stopped at that point); they could easily check this on arrival which is preferable for customer privacy/security.

    Overall, I had a pleasant experience at this hotel. The room was very nice and the receptionist was great. While I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, I was disappointed that the pool and hot tub were not available during my stay and the breakfast area was okay. Furthermore, my sink head was missing in my room. The hotel is located in a very pleasant neighborhood, and I would certainly recommend it to others.

    The easy chair in the room was comfortable but the fabric was frayed. Minor detail but programming on television was very basic and no instructions on the use of the two remotes or channel guide. The planting beds were weed infested and hadn’t been attended to for sometime. It’s like the owner does the minimum amount of maintenance to keep the place clean and comfortable.

    Front desk folks were wonderful. When I arrived on Friday, the gentleman at the desk went above and beyond to figure out what was going on with the room refrigerator (it had been plugged into a switched outlet by mistake). Great detective work with a smile. The front desk gal over the weekend was also very friendly and helpful.

    This hotel is dated and desperate need of a renovation. There is no elevator so if you are on floor 2 or 3, hope you like stairs. The pool and hot tub were closed by the Health Department in January. The chair in the room looked like a cat scratching post.

    It looks like maintenance is in need of a lot. So many dings in moldings, doors and furniture in room. Internet not working, could not use tv. Directions on how to use tv referred to a button to use on the remote to connect to tv, but no button by that name was on the remote. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was filthy. The paint job in the hallway ( dark blue) showed large drips on to door molding which was a lighter color. Will not stay there again.

    Bed was not good, sagged so we rolled to middle. Bath water faucet was almost impossible to turn on. Indooor pool and hot tub were drained and not functional which was a disappointment. I did leave message at front desk of the 2 room issues needing resolved. The mattress should be replaced before anyone else is rented that room. The great news is it was a wonderful breakfast and breakfast room which really helped my overall feeling about the property.

    Best motel breakfast in Bend, selection, quality and very professionally attended to and maintained! Personable and helpful staff. As to the motel, no hot water at ‘rush hour’, thin noisy walls and noisy if occupied room is above you, barking dog, next door, no internet connection 4 out of 5 nights, in room heater failed to heat, sink stopper stuck in the closed position and would not drain. The staff kindly offered to change rooms which I accepted. I stayed 5 nights. There was no servicing the room at all. 2 bath towels were provided but no towel bars or hooks to hang towels for future use! Lastly, the outside grounds were not maintained. Trash that was in the parking lot was still there when I left. Not a positive first impression. Really great staff though.

    First room had non working television and they asked if we could just deal with it, which we didn’t so we were moved to another room. The pool and sauna (our main reason for booking), has been closed for two months and not advertised as such on Expedia. They said they have told Expedia for the length of the two months that it’s been closed. So room was decent but pool and hot tub being closed and not disclosed was very disheartening.

Couldn’t ask for a better breakfast at a non-premium hotel. The man who was servicing the breakfast area was extremely helpful and thorough at keeping everything clean.     The furniture was old and wore out. I started getting bug bites that night and continue to do so the drapes were unable to close and block out the light. The parking lot was gravel. The pet area was nothing but sand and gravel basically a rundown place.

    When I arrived and checked in, they gave me a room that hadn’t been cleaned. There was one person working the front desk and she finally unplugged the phones so she could check me in.made no sense to me that only one person at the front desk, everything was so disorganized. They require a $150 hold on your credit card which isn’t disclosed until you arrive. That is very steep. I have stayed in many hotels and have never had to leave that large of a deposit. The view in my room was a yard full of junk cars and garbage. Definitely not somewhere I would ever stay again. The breakfast was good and well stocked. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of the stay.

    Overall it was nice older La Quinta. The shower has a little too much water pressure. It was fine for an adult but it was too much for my daughter. The room was a little too warm even with the heater off so we had to have the window open to sleep. It would have been nice to have picture on the walls and not just the clips from where they used to be. The bed was ok, the mattress was lumpy and it slanted but whatever I survived. Definitely would stay again. It was a decent stay at the right price point.

    The bathroom/toilet/shower fan is connected to the light so you can’t have one without the other and the fan is VERY noisy. The shower control knob is very difficult to pull on and push off. The water at the bathroom sink sometimes only flows warm/hot - not cold! The room lighting is fairly dark for reading.

    Either, I didn’t not know how to get the room temperature regulated properly or the system and our room was not working properly. The hot tub was out of order. I was notified before my trip and offered a refund if that made a difference. It did not affect me since I was not planning on using it anyway. I appreciated them, letting me know ahead of time.

    Staff was amazing and very apologetic about the situation, but the first room we arrived in was a mess. There was hair in the tub, the sink was not cleaned, and the whole room was not vacuumed. Again service was great, they upgraded us to a Queen suite, but still it was a little messy but better than the previous room. But in the suite, the shower head was on its last life as well as the vent in the bathroom had severe lint build up.

    It’s an older unit that has had done updates. The room seemed clean but it did have a smell to it. Also the door to the stool/ shower area had a loose hinge which made the door hard to close properly. It should also be noted that there is no elevator on the premises so you have to carry suitcases up and down stairs. We didn’t use the pool area nor do we plan on trying the breakfast so no comment on those areas. If you are just looking for a place to crash it’s ok. Can’t say I’d stay there again.

    I have stayed at La Quinta several times over the years when doing a road trip to CA and back to WA. All previous stays were great. This time I woke up at 12:30 am to bug bites of some kind on various parts of my body. I am still feeling miserable from them. I did tell a staff member so that particular room could be accessed for any problems.

    My stay at LaQuinta can be rated as poor. Although the staff appeared to be nice, the environment around the hotel was unkept. The sink did not flush. The carpet was dirty. The shower curtain was too short. I asked the clerk to change my room. I was told that I would have to wait until the next day. Since did not have the time nor the patience, I checked out the following morning - cutting my stay at La Quinta short by 5 days.

    The only thing I liked was the ample parking. The hotel was way overpriced. No elevator and the stairs to the lower floor were steep and creepy. It was like our room was underground! The carpet was gross. I thought I could smell dog as all rooms are pet friendly...Really needs to be upgraded! It says it's close to the Hayden Home Amphitheater but it is not very convenient. Breakfast was just ok.

    They have luggage carts, but we were on the 3rd floor and no elevators. So, for us, luggage carts were useless. Had to make three trips up and down the stairs. The first night our TV wasn't working. To their credit, they did come up and get it going in a timely manner. Second day .... NO HOT WATER. How annoying. Talked to front desk and they told me it was because "everyone was taking showers at the same time to get ready for the concert". Calling BS on this as: It was 1 PM in the afternoon and the concert didn't start until 730. Only twelve cars in their parking lot and probably at least four or five were employees. Waited an hour and still no hot water. Went back down to the front desk and no one was around. Called on ky phone and the phone was ringing, but no one around to answer. I could have reached over the counter and answered my own call!! Finally, Jackson shows up and I asked him if I could talk to the manager. Jackson said, "he's still working on water tank". Question: Why would he still be working on the hot water tank an hour later if it was only out of hot water and just needed time to re-heat. So, Jackson basically lied to me. Anyways, thanks for reading this book. Very disappointed. Lots of better options for hotels in Bend. Safe travels.

    The pet area is an area of dirt and weeds. Also you are not allow to leave your dogs in the rooms without you being there even if they are in crates. I was told multiple times it was a “non negotiable”.

    I showed up an hour after my check in time and still had to wait almost an hour to get to my room. The desk and housekeeping didn't seem to communicate. It seemed weird that there were no security cameras in the hall, the north entrance or the stairs wells. Maybe that was just me being a single female occupant. The cable was shut off and said to contact the provider. Room was clean. Breakfast smelled good and parking lot was well kept.

    The property is obviously very old, and you do NOT want a downstairs unit. They are basically in the basement, so the only window, (small), is situated about 6' from the ground. A previous guest must have left the window open during a rain storm, because the sliding window track was full of mud. Also, the window latch was broken, so apparently the staff just put a piece of wood in the track to prevent someone from crawling in. There was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, and only about 1/4 of a roll of toilet paper. The single bar of soap in the room was a tiny bar in the tub, about the size of an Oreo cookie. None for the sink. Also, the pillows are a joke. They appear to be small couch pillows, each about 16" square! The ceilings downstairs are only seven feet tall, and they used eight foot long drapes over the window, so they drag along the floor, and are frayed to tatters. Overall, this place is a DUMP!

    we requested a room on the main floor of the hotel & our request was denied. The motel has 3 floors & no elevators! we had a room in the basement & it felt like we were in the dungeon...dark & a view of the dirt mound in front of the window. we saw several spiders on the ceiling & in the bathroom. the area around the motel feels sketchy & right next to a main street...lots of noise & cars! I was expecting more for the $600 we paid for 3 nights!

    Issue with dirty stained carpet, possible animal stains. We had to ask for a change of bed sheets and comforter because the sheets were very rough, hard, stiff, awful. Why would they put warm comforters on during HOT summers. They were kind enough to put on soft sheets, and a nice blanket. So thankful because we were not able to sleep on the original bedding. Also, pillows were really over lumpy, this seems to be an issue with all LaQuinta Hotels. Upgrade please. The food area, could not do, very overcrowded and hot. Too small

    We were surprised that a La Quinta brand name hotel was so antiquated - and not in a good way. Our room was the size of a closet in the basement, located adjacent to the industrial laundry room. The breakfast was minimal. The door to the pantry was open and we were able to see how filthy the floor was.

    The bed was very comfortable but the pillows were not. The pet area was horrible. Like honestly it wasn’t even a pet area, but more of a dirt lot. The feces disposal was completely full and stunk and the poop bags were gone and were not refilled even after telling staff. The breakfast was convenient but could have been much better. All in all I likely wouldn’t stay again.

    Customer service is lacking at this property. Checked in after 8pm and no one was at the front desk. Found out it was the manager that worked the front and he was gone multiple times. My kids fell at the pool multiple times and I wanted to file an incident report because one fell on his head. Manager would not do one. He told me they just redid the pool. Pool was way too slippery. Some parts had texture and other parts were smooth. Manager didn’t care. He just assumed my kids were running. Would not stay due to staff lacking any empathy and any customer service.

    I am not rating the stay because we did not end up staying. We were turned down at the last minute, late at night, when we were so tired from the drive and our sports meet. It was frustrating that all the receptionist told us they had no other room for us after not checking that the room they booked us in was not prepared and ready. I even confirmed online ahead of time to ensure the security of the booking. Please revisit your process. I hope our experience will not be reciprocated to other families because it was no fun trying to figure out where to stay then.

    Staff courteous. Room clean, but slightly run down (wall by bed had exposed nails from possible picture off wall and thermostat off wall). No hand soap by sink.     When first entering our non-smoking room, we were greeted with the smell of cigarette odor. There apparently was an attempt to cover the oder with a deodorizer (something like Lysol or similar), but the odor was still present. The room carpet had multiple stains on it. The next morning there was absolutely no hot water, so my wife and I had to take a cold shower. When we expressed our disappointment with young woman at the front desk, she informed us that the facility was having issues with the boiler. She also stated that we were entitled to some sort of discount for the room, but that she did not have the authority to give us one. She suggested that we report the problems with Expedia (which we did). In short, the quality of our stay did not meet our expectations of La Quinta Inns. We stayed at much nicer La Quinta Inns in the past.

    The check out time in our room was listed as noon, but housekeeping staff started knocking at 11 telling us that was checkout time.     The rooms were spacious and the beds really comfortable. Staff was friendly at check in and check out. Breakfast was okay. The eggs weren’t really edible and the sausage is spicy but the waffles turned out good. I would recommend a fruit topping to go along with the canned whipped cream offered. Did not use the pool but nice it was available. Definitely would stay again. Dove bath products provided in the bathroom was appreciated.

    Very clean room and hotel. Close to some restaurants and conveniently in front of a supermarket. The pillows were a little old and lumpy. Linens are soft and great. WIFI is almost non existent in our room-120. They allowed us a late check out and we're grateful.

    The rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable with air-conditioning and heat. Staff were nice enough to give us a downstairs room since this property doesn't have an elevator for other floors. They let us check-in a half-hour early. The swimming pool is delightfully heated, not just 82 degrees but felt warm next to our skin. The spa pool was hot! The room seemed soundproof, since we didn't hear anything over our 3-night stay. Parking is easy, safe, and close to the entrance. The location in Bend was central enough so everything was within a 7-minute drive. The hot free breakfast each morning had a lot of choices and the supply was kept up by a monitoring person.

    We usually enjoy our stay at La Quinta but this time was very frustrating. We booked a room that said it sleeps 5. When we got inside it had only 2 beds so we asked for a roll away bed. We were then told that due to fire hazard they couldn’t put a roll away bed in our room. So one of our kids had to sleep on the floor for 3 nights. I would not have booked if I had known it didn’t comfortably fit all of us.

    The blanket on the bed reeked like someone’s unwashed armpit. I didn’t realize it until I pulled it over my face in the middle of the night—and immediately gagged. When I tucked my head fully under it, the stench got even worse. It was nauseating. Clearly, the sheets hadn’t been washed. Disgusting. And while the AC kept cutting out all night—which should’ve been the main issue—it says a lot that the foul-smelling blanket overshadowed even that. Staff did not offer anything in response to hearing about this - other than acknowledgement that someone else had mentioned the same thing, which to their credit, they noted on a piece of paper for someone.

    I did like that it is close to shopping area, but it was very noisy at night. paper thin walls, needs some kind of table to eat at in rooms. I did like that there was a person that stock the breakfast bar up. That was a change from the last time we were there, I felt sorry for the front desk person that had to take care of the breakfast area and also the front desk. Was a lot of homeless in the area so didn't feel safe on the ground floor.

    Our family has stayed at this hotel on average 2 times per year for the last 20 years, perfect location during our family visits in Bend. We've noticed the property slowly going down hill. The rooms are clean and the morning breakfast is always fresh so someone is doing their job. The owners should focus a little more on the exterior maintenance of the building and Landscaping. Looking a little tired.

    Good pet friendly option. Our go-to when traveling through Bend with our cat. Really good front desk service, nice enough facility, clean and comfortable. Fairly standard breakfast. The only thing I don’t like is the heating/cooling unit fan goes off and on and is a bit loud. Pillows are sad, but this is a good value for the money. I’ll stay again.

    It met our needs for an inexpensive one night stay with a nice hot tub and a free hot breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint was the mattress on the bed seemed pretty tired and worn out but I managed to get a good night's sleep on it. The bathtub was a little dated but overall the room was nice. It was helpful that they gave us a room that was on the main floor (2nd) and close to parking since we had a lot of baggage to bring in overnight. I think I heard there is not an elevator to the other floors.

    This is the place to avoid. The bed was lumpy and had 4" depressions in each side. Also the parking lot was unplowed with snow and ice. In the room next to mine was a fist fight and when I told the front desk they said that they could not help me. "I didn't know the room number" The worst hotel in town. I am still waiting for Expedia to refund the nights I didn't stay!

    issues getting into my room - had to get the front desk to open the door to my room whenever i needed to get inside. the climate control/thermostat was not functional, so the room was extremely cold. the room and shower were dated/very ghetto. it's a very expensive hotel for amenities and room comfort, especially compared to other hotels available in bend. do not recommend
