We stayed here one night while passing through Bend. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The motel is cute, I didn’t think any place still uses real keys, and that was a fun novelty for my daughter. Unfortunately the bathroom door didnt close and the toilet had trouble flushing. There also was no cable tv, but that wasn’t that big of a deal for us. Even with those issues we would probably stay here again.

That hotel required a $50 deposit and told me that if I paid it in cash I would get the full deposit, but if I used a card, I would only get $45 back, so I paid in cash. The office was closed the next morning when I checked out, so I dropped the key and left. I talked to the manager who said all I had to do was go by and pick up the cash. If I lived close enough to go by and pick up the cash, why on earth would I have stayed in his crappy hotel in the first place?!? He said he can’t mail it because he can’t be responsible for it getting lost in the mail. I told him that he’s just stealing my $50, and he repeated that I can just come by and pick it up. I’ve never been more angry about a hotel stay in my life. DO NOT STAY HERE. It’s dirty, poorly maintained, and the manager is a crook.
- 3/5
Loud AC, really close to the amphitheater. Not the best, not the worst.
- 5/5
The room was very clean. The check-in was seamless. I am a single female traveler and I felt safe.
- 5/5
omg literally way more then I was expecting you guys have strawberry waffles I've never seen that any where and I stay in hotel frequently. also the toilet paper with the little bow instead of being folded just triangular sooooo impressive. TV was a little small and every thing was a little dated
- 5/5
Great family runs this place and even gave us a better and bigger room when we had to come back the second week in a row to wait for our water heater to be fixed.
- 5/5
Yes, everything was fine, so i told them I will be back there again
- 5/5
Great place to stay and shower when I water hearter was being fixed. Lovely friendly people.
- 3/5
I was unable to stay for the dates that I paid for due to the deposit which I did not know had to be paid separate from the booking online when I apply for on the booking and pay for the room, it says this price is with taxes and fees all included that means the deposit is a tax or a fee I was unable to Get my money back.I was unable to get a return and I was unable to change the dates of my stay.So I don't, as far as the room goes, I'm going to call and ask to talk to them about something. And it depends on how they react or the answer me , on , what kind of review they get in the further future get off
- 5/5
Everything is wonderful
- 1/5
Absolutely filthy, grime and dripping unknown liquid on the walls, shower was disgusting. Walls and doors were shocking dirty! Pictures/video to prove. I did not stay. Never go here again, Ever!!
- 3/5
staff was half asleep when I checked in. also there is a 3$ non refundable credit card deposit charge that wasnt specified when booking.. its not the $ its the integrity of when you say its final price but its really not.
- 1/5
room was neglected smelled like smoke staff tried opening the door after we said we were naked it was 10:29am check out was 11:00am the bathroom sink had a bucket for the drain and the cabinet was moldy. after I left I felt sick.
- 4/5
Location is great . Close to shopping and restaurants. The linens were excellent and washed in something that made them smell excellent. The room was extremely clean without the overwhelming smell of cleaners. The shower was hot and had great pressure. I did not like the bed. It was too soft for my liking but that is personal. I like really firm beds. It is on the small side. It was just myself so I did not mind that.
- 5/5
No complaints!
- 5/5
I really loved how clean and comfortable everything was throughout the stay. The room and common areas were spotless and very well maintained. The location was absolutely perfect—convenient, central, and beyond my expectations. It made everything so easy to access. The staff was also incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a very comfortable, pleasant experience, and I would definitely stay here again. Honestly, everything was amazing during my stay. I don't have any complaints or suggestions. I think if you choose to stay here you will have a very pleasant stay.
- 4/5
It was a nice room for a typical motel
- 3/5
Is ok if you want a place to stay. Need a good pillow. No frills or thrills.
- 5/5
Extremely friendly front desk person. Room and bathroom very clean and neat. Bed very comfortable. Fridge in the room a welcome surprise. Lots of premium TV channels.
- 2/5
Good location, close to downtown and freeways. WiFi did not work. You couldn't connect or stay connected. No ice machine. Didn't empty trash containers, we had to do it ourselves.
- 5/5
the shower was small but the water pressure was good. Great room for a good price.
- 4/5
Definitely stands out among the economic options in Bend. Highly recommended.
- 3/5
very noisy air conditioner that went on and off all night.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 5/5
Lovely little motor lodge!
- 3/5
Room smelled & looked old. Found a dead roach in room. AC unit in room cooled well but was very loud.
- 1/5
This place is NASTY. Other people hair on the clean towels. Holes in the walls. The smell…. We had to open all the windows and turn on a fan and leave for a while to even make it barable to sleep.
- 1.5/5
Like a Motel 6 but not quite as nice and way more expensive
- 1/5
Awful experience! The morning of my stay I got a call from the woman at the front desk. She claimed the room that I reserved was no longer available and was I willing to take a single bed instead. I reluctantly accepted being that I was leaving in just a couple hours to make the 3 hour drive to bend. Five minutes later, she called back and said never mind we have your original room it’s fine. This made me nervous, but what could I do? Hotels were sold out all over town. I arrived a couple of hours before the event I was to attend and when I got there she told me I cancelled and said there were no more rooms available. Liar! Instead of getting ready for my concert, I spent the next few hours looking for a place to stay. The woman was rude and unapologetic about her mistake or should I say intention cuz I don’t think it was a mistake. Don’t waste your time at this awful motel!
- 4/5
Nice clean no complaints
- 3/5
The mirrors in our room arent actually attached to the wall. The one above the beds cam crashing down and knocked a glass bottle off the nighstand so we had to sit here and pick up tony shards of glass. It also didnt say anywehere that there would be a 50 dollar depost AFTER the money already spend so that caught me off guard too and the lady in the office wasnt very kind. Theres also a bunch of dirt and extra stuff in the corners and its kind of gross. Theres also no screen on the window. Just not super impressed overall.
- 4/5
Just what we needed for the night, will stay here again
- 3/5
The staff does their best with what they have. NO: ice machine, WiFi, iron, hangers (we had two broken ones). You get what you pay for.
- 1/5
Surrounding area was bad! Homeless hanging around the parking lot!
- 5/5
Awesome value!
- 5/5
Service for check in and check out was quick and friendly. Room was clean, and though it smelled strongly of bleach I appreciated knowing it had been thoroughly cleaned!
- 4/5
Really clean and safe. Good for the price
- 2/5
I would not recommend this motel
- 4.5/5
Booking doesn't mention a $50 deposit for the room.
- 5/5
I had a wonderful time during my stay. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was very convenient having everything close by. I enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend others to stay here.
- 4/5
Good location at a good price
- 2.5/5
It was a bit pricey.
- 2.5/5
poor shower head too low bad angle. no vent fan in bath
- 5/5
Very clean. Nice people.
- 1/5
This place had bed bugs. Disgusting
- 3/5
The internet was poor. The signal was so weak I couldn’t even watch a YouTube video let alone get work done.
- 3/5
It was ok for the price, only stayed 2 nights, less than 12 hours total time in the room.
- 4.5/5
Peaceful and clean place. Staff is professional and kind
- 2.5/5
Surely not worth the price, last minute rental and everything else booked up.
- 4/5
Fine for the overnight stay, noisy with the squeaky floor up above. Needs to be renovated. Worn out floors and linens. Kind of spendy for a property in this condition but we were glad to stop for the night.
- 0.5/5
I was glad when we were out of there. I did not like anything about the motel.
- 5/5
Tiny little room at a VERY decent price. Was perfect for a night of passing through the town for a mini vacation.
- 4/5
Big room for the price, clean, comfortable beds.
- 3/5
Clean, but very worn out. The lamp switch was broken and it was unplugged. Toilet seat was for a smaller toilet. Best you're going to get for the price.
- 5/5
I had a fantastic stay at this place! The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The location is also very convenient—close to everything I needed during my trip. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would absolutely stay here again. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!
- 0.5/5
Everything.
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
This facility and its staff was so far above par that it will make all future endeavors lackluster. Can’t wait to stay here again! We recommend this place to any friend and family member. So wonderful. Hot and tasty snacks in the morning. Honestly, there was nothing I didn’t like! My experience was a straight 10 out of 10. The staff and the facility were top-notch. Wonderful policies.
- 5/5
Nice place the owner she was nice.nice room thank you.
- 4.5/5
No light in the shower and the bed was a little too firm for me
- 5/5
Very satisfied with the staff.
- 5/5
The man at the counter was understanding when I arrived late and also when I got there very early to check out a couple of days later. Much appreciated - hope business continues to prosper!
- 3/5
Economical for my needs , but TV did not work, too late to call manager, I didn't want to relocate
- 2/5
Sketchy people registering as we walked in to the office. Did not feel comfortable there. Will not stay again.
- 4/5
Good price, room was clean, and it’s easily accessible on the main strip in Bend. Staff was very friendly
- 4/5
Nice
- 3/5
Price for what you get was too high lots of noise
- 4/5
Check in Hostess was very friendly. Room smelled clean and it was clean and comfortable. Happy with our stay.
- 4/5
This is an older facility but essentially clean and maintained. We enjoyed our stay and found it convenient. Close proximity to Dutch Bros. for the teenager was also a positive!
- 3/5
I’m not sure if I got the best rate
- 2/5
The man at the front desk was very kind and helpful. I appreciated the conversation that we had. Humble area, it felt pretty safe, the bedding seemed clean but the room walls, doors and bathroom floor was dirty and run down. We decided to leave earlier than planned.
- 5/5
This is a nice clean lately remodeled facility. I was greeted with a friendly staff member, even though it was late at night. We were pleasantly surprised on the recent remodel. Definitely agreed to value in a comfortable bed and pillows.
- 3/5
The beds were ok but not great. The toilet was loosely connected to the bathroom floor. There were no hangers on the clothing bar. The price was pretty high for what you get, including no breakfast. Maybe the price was jacked up because it's 4th of July week, even though it was 4 days before the 4th?
- 5/5
Just what I needed, a safe comfortable clean place to stay the night for the best price after a show at the amphitheater.
- 5/5
I was looking for an economic place to sleep/shower for a couple of nights while enjoying hiking, breweries, and the amphitheater. This hit the mark. Service was nice, room was quite clean, shower was a bit small but had hot water with decent pressure, and it’s walkable to the Old Mill District. There were a couple of repairs that had been that were obvious (think wall or ceiling patch jobs that were noticeable) and the molding/trim could use some TLC, but this is aceitare for this type of establishment. There was no smell when I got there, the A/C was on and controls were available to set as I saw fit, and the fridge was pretty spacious and very cold. Microwave was there too. Overall I’ll give it a 4.5 star review for the price and expectation based on their offering, rounding up to 5.
- 3/5
It's located at an in odd spot. It's hard to navigate for certain folks.
- 5/5
Tiny shower. Very tiny shower.
- 5/5
Nice guy on check in.. nice room no fuss. Quiet and close to food outlets, Walmart. Lovely stay.
- 3/5
Biggest issue for us turned out to be weak or almost non-existent WiFi. Would have chosen another lodging if I had known.
- 1/5
They got mad because I asked for a blanket and blocked me in the Expedia site
- 1/5
They told me they would charge the expedia rate because the app selected the wrong date. Instead they charged me fifteen dollars extra, the owner came to the door and banged, he screamed at me whiel I was literally unconscious on the bed because of feeling sick and told me I ruined his bedhseets because something spilled, these people are always screaming and accusing, they should go back to India. We don't scream at customers here in America.
- 1/5
terrible
- 5/5
The people are amazing
- 3/5
The beds were very comfortable and it was quiet so we had a good nights sleep.
- 5/5
Amazing customer service, really clean and comfortable room.
- 5/5
Very clean and nicely decorated
- 5/5
Tons of dining in the neighborhood. Grocery pitlet just a block away. Our rooom was comfortable and roomy!
- 3/5
The person at check-in was nice, but the room was not very clean. If you're looking for a cheap bed, it's okay but don't expect a lot.
- 4/5
Check in was fast and easy. The Lodge manager was very nice and friendly. The room was pretty basic, which is what we were looking for and the price was great. There was coffee available in the room and the usual soap, shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. The bedding was very pretty and the sheets were great!!--So much so, that I found them online and bought a set for home!! Convenient location so we didn't need to drive long to get to anywhere we wanted to go. We would definitely stay at Sonoma Lodge again.
- 4/5
Spacious room with a very comfortable bed at an affordable price. Just what I was looking for. It’s an older property but a good value.
- 5/5
Perfect for the venue we were going to
- 3/5
The room was clean. The bed was okay. I reserved the room on line and paid in advance, then they made us put a $50 deposit fee incase we damaged anything. The room was not that much better than a Motel 6 to need a deposit.
- 4/5
The check in process was great, fast and easy. The area in which the lodge is in however, I would not stay in again. There was racing up and down the road half the night and people walking around the parking lot over the night. We were very happy to see our car outside the next morning, with all parts attached.
- 2/5
Stay here at your own risk.
- 1/5
The room is big, but they are extremely sleazy with credit cards and a deposit. It's a worn down and unfriendly motel, but it's cheap.
- 2/5
The room on the other hand was ok because the main part of it had been cleaned (bathroom, carpet, clean bleach smell towels, etc) but the issue was that the bedspreads both had stains on them and a blanket also. One comforter had small blood stains. The other one had a large spot that I thought was a stain, but when I pulled it up it was very prominent on the other side and the blanket had the same exact spot matched up to the comforter on it also. This tells me that they didn't change the bedding at all. Not even the sheets! I went to turn the pillow cases inside out so we had something clean, and there was a couple black hairs on the pillow case & small blood stains on the actual pillow itself. So we put towels over the inside out pillow cases, threw their comforters on the floor, got our own blankets from car and slept on top of bedding. The office did give their apologies the next morning, but that doesn't make up for something they have full control over. A nasty bed and bedding is an absolute deal breaker for us. We would never stay there again.
- 5/5
Room is exceptionally clean!
- 2/5
Main problem was the leg on the bed was broken and collapsed when you sat on it, ok lying on it if you didn’t move much. Lack of plugs to charge items and the plugs that were there overloaded.
- 4/5
$100 cleaning deposit due on arrival, and returned a few days after with no issues. The room was definitely a bit rough around more than just the edges, there is some junk cars in the parking lot, people staying longer term in some of the rooms, and some noise at night. The beds were good for us and I felt like the linens were clean, the front desk was helpful when I asked for extra coffee etc. I would have no problem staying there again.
- 4/5
Curtains open to the south for sparkling sunlight. Mattress extremely comfortable. Owners not quite as as surly as others I have encountered. Room had good feng shui. Heard two men in earnest conversation in the snow outside, also feuding young lovers checked in which was entertaining. None of this was too loud. Maid comes by at 1030 with her cart and says OFFICE loudly, don't get in her way.
- 4/5
The bed was extremely comfortable and I had a south facing window. The managers were less menacing than most on this row of hotels. Was surprised by deposit requirement. There was plenty of light. It smelled strongly of some kind of perfumy scent when we entered. The shower was tiny and looked tiled with ancient fragments from Mesopotamia. Had to move coffee pot to plug in on the floor. Overall I found it homey and enjoyed the extreme comfort of the bed. Did not use shower but companion liked it.
- 2/5
You get what you pay for but I don’t understand why I got charged $50 for a deposit when I had no pets or an extra person. Wouldn’t give me they key for my already paid room. Might as well of gone paid an extra more for a nicer hotel. But it was close concert venue and a couple fast food restaurants (walking distance)
- 5/5
Great rates, clean and comfortable rooms and friendly staff!
- 3/5
It’s ok there…. With how ridiculously expensive hotels in bend are now it was the most affordable option for us… but just like most things you get what you pay for 😐
- 4/5
The property was perfect for our needs, basic, but reasonable and within walking distance to our concert.
- 3/5
Older property, clean, and good AC window unit.
- 4/5
Comfortable, clean, friendly reception, and budget friendly, the Sonoma Lodge was all we needed for a night’s rest.
- 4/5
Just a RElaxing two-day trip to Bend. Room was all we needed as we spent most of our time outside. Everything was clean and comfortable.
- 3/5
dislikes: very noisy neighbors and road noise was loud (even with windows closed), small rooms
- 1/5
Room was filthy. Noiese from adjacent rooms meant no sleep that night
- 3/5
Affordable budget lodging; acceptable for just essential stay in room but not for spending much time in the room. Fridge and Coffeemaker amenity in room was a plus. Maintenance required with sink and carpeting. Convenient location to visit attractions in Bend.
- 4/5
Nothing unique, just a good value for an overnight stay
- 4/5
It was a nice place. The bathroom was a little small. Being a big person it was Challenging.
- 5/5
While this is an older property, it is very well-maintained. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient.
- 4/5
Was clean and gave us a good place to sleep between playing in Central Oregon. Not a fancy place or a destination, but it met our needs.
- 2/5
The lodge seems to be so old and with cheap quality facility which doesn’t have any comforts.
- 3/5
Let’s be upfront this hotel is on a busy road and it’s actually listed as basically a state highway . The room was functionally ok . The owners weren’t around a lot and at one point I had to take out our own trash. The home was only made up once after the 3rd night there . But this is important Bend is an expensive town for everything and to find a hotel anywhere within close proximity which this hotel is for the price is decent value . Also there are a few hotels in this vicinity where they sit back from the road, if you can be 50 yards it can be a big deal
- 4/5
The staff were positive, prompt and friendly. One of the housekeepers took all my towels and the staff brought a fresh set right away. The climate control worked well. Unfortunately there were nail clippings on my bed table, and the toilet kept flushing weakly. I figured out how to clear it after several attempts. Overall it was a good stay.
- 5/5
Get what yah pay for!
- 4/5
I booked this hotel because it was in my budget while I was waiting to sign a lease in Bend. I was under the impression the landlord was going to have me move in the 1st, but provided me the keys on the 30th. With no issues whatsoever, the staff let me cancel my reservation early with a full refund of the remaining nights. It was greatly appreciated.
- 3/5
I did not get the room I booked. I booked a room with 2 queen beds, but only got a room with one bed. They just told me no more room, if you do not like we can return your money. Very bad experience
- 4/5
Clean, simple and inexpensive. Everything I needed but nothing special. Check in clerk did his job adequately but was not very friendly. But yeah, he did his job. Room was fine, other than some traffic noise.
- 4/5
Friendly, helpful staff. Drawback was loud AC.
- 4/5
Had to go to office to get ice.
- 3/5
Needs to paint
- 5/5
Freshly remodeled, new towels, good bed, clean & crisp sheets. Not anew hotel, no extras but great room for the price. Quiet
- 5/5
Our room was very clean & comfortable, and the staff were very helpful & cordial!
- 3/5
No problem with the stay but the setting is not that great. First there is no mirror in the room except the bathroom. The only bench/table in the room has the legs not that stable. There is no hocks in the bathroom for towels. The towel rack was cut off by a shelf with a tissue box.
- 5/5
Expedia confirmation stated check in was noon. We were told the room wasn’t ready and to come back at 3:00.
- 3/5
I was disappointed that there was no ice on the premise but there was a fridge. There was no outlet in bathroom.
- 5/5
Perfectly fine place to stay for a night while exploring Oregon.
- 1/5
run down, took a deposit did not refund
- 1/5
Staff were friendly and amenities were as advertised. Very convenient location. I was dissatisfied with the level of cleanliness, which is the thing most important to me. Our family was passing through Bend on a trip so we booked three rooms separately. Each room had unpleasant odor. I like to save money where I can, but I would advise spending extra and booking elsewhere.
