It looks kinda funky and industrial, but the room was very comfortable with good functionality. The beer taps behind the front desk and the food truck in the parking lot were fun. Walkable to downtown for the motivated. The pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained but they are basically in the parking lot. More chairs and maybe some shade would be good, the pool deck was somewhat barren.
- 5/5
Rooms were great, parking was easy, staff was super kind… we enjoyed some drinks on the couches by the fire in the lobby after a day of adventuring and driving.

the place was modern and welcoming

Everything was smooth - room very large and worked great.
- 5/5
Small issue with water pressure in the shower, as it was very hard and no way to turn down the pressure without turning it to cold. But otherwise no issues!

Friendly staff. Close to downtown

Very good
- 5/5
Wonderful comfortable hotel in downtown Bend, had everything I needed. I would stay here again, staff very friendly and accommodating.
- 5/5
Super big rooms and it’s so nice with the fire pits in the main lobby area. Definitely will bring the kids back to this one to utilize the pool!
- 4/5
Room and bed were quite nice, clean and modern. Good TV selection as well (unlike some hotels). Overall, it was good and I'd stay there again. Staff was friendly. Only negative was that the room smelled slightly like pesticide - not sure if that was the cleaning supplies or if they had sprayed or something.
- 5/5
Kinda shady on the outside but very clean on the inside!!!

Everything was great. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the front desk clerk was especially friendly and welcoming. We were only there for a short stay — checking in late and leaving early — but we had a great night’s sleep and a very pleasant experience overall.

Nice new motel. Super clean. Large rooms. Convenient location. Very quiet at night. Lovely beds. Giant counter tops in bathroom and additional sink area. Coffee in room or walk to Ditch Bros or Starbucks. Restaurant next door and good truck in patking lot. Stay here, you won't regret it
- 5/5
Very Clean and easy to park. Loved how close it is to parks, the river and places to eat and drink. The staff was really friendly. I'll be coming back next time I visit Bend, Oregon.
- 4.5/5
Superb
- 5/5
The staff was amazing! Check in was a breeze. Our room was clean, bed was comfortable. Lobby bar was convenient. The weather dropped down into the low 50's so the fire pit was perfect! We stay here every time we come to Bend. Don't hesitate! You will enjoy your stay.
- 5/5
It was super clean, the soaps smelled fantastic, big pet area, had a bar inside the hotel as well as a little mini mart and next to a food truck and Black Bear Diner. Very quiet. Fencing in the pet area would be nice. Its on the back side of the building.

Friendly staff. Great room. Location was perfect. Easy to get around Bend! Pool looked nice but too cold to swim. Hotel lobby was very inviting!
- 5/5
The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and the showers were hot and had good pressure. Place was quiet at nice. Great updating! The pool was heated and the hot tub was great. The hot tub was small
- 5/5
We did a quick one night stay and it was a great room and location. We were close to some great breakfast and lunch spots and were able to make the most out of our short stay. Would stay here again!
- 5/5
We had a really great time at this resort and would definitely choose this place again on a future visit. Beautiful view of the beach and Haystack Rock. Perfect location to restaurants and cafes.
- 5/5
My girlfriends and I always stay here, a lot of things we wanted to do was in walking distance. Staff is always friendly and welcoming, the area and rooms were kept very clean.
- 5/5
Clean room, cozy feeling, staff was very friendly
- 3/5
Just a place to crash our heads. Came up to look at properties to purchase. Wouldn’t stay there on a vacation but it did the trick.
- 5/5
Nice spot
- 4/5
Rooms recently remodeled and nice. Pool was closed. Food and bar not so good. Beds comfy.
- 5/5
Place was clean and quiet. They had complimentary make up remover packets, one of which had a wierd sticky substance on it. But sheets, blankets, towels, and floors were all clean and nothing smelled. Would stay there again
- 5/5
Great place to stay very friendly staff and we were able to get early check in
- 3/5
The room itself was great! Just like the pictures and definitely big. Not sure if there were pictures showing this or not, but I didn’t realize this wasn’t an indoor hotel…it’s more like a motel where it’s outdoors. Didn’t even use the hot tub bc the pool and hot tub are outside in the parking lot. It’s only 2 stories and you have to use stairs. I was also creeped out the first night or two bc not sure if it was a guest or not but someone was just always in their car outside of where our room was with their door open. Made me worried if they were trying to break into someone’s room. Also found it weird the door didn’t have like an extra deadbolt or something. Only thing I liked was the room itself and being able to walk across the parking lot to black bear diner. Location is also great. Don’t have to drive far for most things.
- 5/5
Great clean room! Awesome water pressure! They gave us a sheet for the bed as we traveled with our pup! Lovely little fire pits outside and an awesome dog area outside for our dog to do his business! Loved our stay!
- 5/5
Well kept property, nice little bar.
- 5/5
We stay at the Waypoint every time we visit family in Bend and are always so happy with our stay. The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious and the staff are always so friendly and very helpful. I can imagine wanting to stay anywhere else in Bend.
- 5/5
Quite a pleasant surprise. Staff and property, top drawer, highly recommend this property.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable room in a great location close to downtown. The lobby was especially welcoming and added to the overall positive experience.
- 2/5
Staff were LOVELY and the room was clean and comfortable. However, this is an updated motel. It is nicely updated but all rooms open to the outside, not onto a hallway and there is no elevator to the second floor which can be difficult for families or those with mobility challenges. For this level of accommodation i would not pay these rates again and had I not prepaid I would have cancelled and gone to a proper hotel for the same price. $95 maximum seems more appropriate.
- 4/5
Would stay again.
- 4/5
Not bad but little overpriced for what u get, loved the large rooms
- 5/5
Very friendly and helpful staff. Ski/snowboard tuning room came in handy, hot tub was clean, lobby bar is convenient, everything you would need for a budget-friendly Mt. Bachelor ski trip.
- 4/5
I liked the redesign of this classic hotel. The big beds were great. The lobby with the tap room were nice. The hot tub was small but nice. Nice location that was close to everything. Nice market to to get snacks and beverages.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel. Setup motel style, but also has an outdoor pool and hot tub. Room was very nice, very clean, great set up for skiiers. The lobby was very nice and had a bar. Staff were friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced.
- 5/5
The room was extremely clean, staff were very friendly, and we were really impressed all the way around. The price was reasonable, especially as we were here for a family member that was in the hospital. It’s about a mile from St. Charles and almost a straight shot from there to the hotel. Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Clean and ready for some winter play.
- 5/5
We've stayed at the Waypoint many times when visiting Bend and are never disappointed! The staff is wonderful and rooms are always exceptionally clean and comfortable. It's an amazing value and we will always choose to stay here when we're in town.
- 5/5
Clean rooms super friendly staff.
- 4/5
Yes
- 5/5
Great place to stay.
- 5/5
The room was clean, with comfy beds. Their staff was very kind and helpful. We drove in from California and I would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
clean room, friendly staff nice water pressure in shower, 2 story building parking is nice, out side hot tub and pool we didn’t use but also uber can access property for easy pick up and drop off no issues, mini fridge, microwave, and nice beds/tv
- 5/5
Check in was easy peasy, staff were great and my room had everything I needed for a bath after a very long drive from LA. They even texted me asking if I had a ground floor or second floor room. When I told them I wanted a bathtub they accommodated that request. Thank you for everything!
- 5/5
Check in and out was super easy via mobile phone. Clean and spacious room
- 5/5
Clean rooms that appear freshly updated. Staff was kind and accommodated an early check in.
- 4/5
When checking in, the staff was very friendly. The lobby had a fun, trendy vibe. The rooms were smaller. They were very clean and loved the mural on the main wall. However, the rooms feel a bit cold and sterile feeling. The rooms open to the outside giving more of a motel feeling. You can hear all the noise and traffic outside. The price was a good value.
- 3/5
I wasn’t able to check in to my room until 4:30pm
- 5/5
Spacious room, clean and quiet location. Right next to one of my favorite restaurant, Black Bear Dining.
- 4/5
I was a bit cold in the middle of the night and I wasn’t sure if I was able to adjust the thermostat. A blanket would’ve been acceptable and comforting.
- 5/5
Room was much more for the money than used to paying, bed was comfortable and amenities were luxurious
- 5/5
It was a great experience! Staff were friendly. Rooms were clean and tidy.
- 5/5
The rooms are great,
- 3/5
Amenities- there were 2 cans of water in the room which we assumed were complimentary and we took
- 2/5
The heating system in the room was very noisy and rattled periodically through the night, waking us up. We requested a room change but we had the same problem in the second room. I hope they can fix it.
- 5/5
The room was spotless and well appointed. The front desk staff were great. Will definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
excellent cool modern hotel with a motel type layout. outstanding at this price point
- 5/5
This ismy new favorite lodging In Bend.
- 5/5
Remodeled rooms are upto date and clean.
- 4/5
Nice staff and clean modern rooms. Hotel is near train tracks and the heater in our room sounded like a popcorn machine every time it cycled on.
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable!
- 5/5
Check in was a breeze and my room was modern and appealing.
- 5/5
Very clean, comfortable and friendly to our dogs
- 5/5
The entire property is newly renovated. Things are new and fresh. Simple. Clean. Conveniently located. Pool/Hot Tub. Onsite bar with $3 pints. Friendly staff. Easy to do business with. Black Bear Diner right next door. I'll stay here again.
- 4/5
Bed was very comfortable. Glad there was regular tv and we didn’t have to sign into a streaming service!
- 5/5
Super clean and comfortable room. Everything updated and modern. Our second stay here. Dog friendly. Loved hanging out by the fire in the cozy lobby.
- 5/5
Easy check in, fun atmosphere, clean updated rooms, nearby food, shops.
- 5/5
Comfortable room. Clean sheets and nice shower! The room was cozy and modern. Loved having a small dining table to eat dinner inside the room after a long hike.
- 5/5
All the above, clean fresh room and the staff was great!
- 5/5
The room was spotless and extremely comfortable. We stayed 5 days and there was plenty of room to hang clothes as well as backpacks and outerwear. We also loved the fireplace (both indoor and outdoor!) Lovely to have a glass of wine or cup of coffee and just relax by the fire.
- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay. The property is clean, modern and close to downtown. The staff is friendly and polite, in fact, everyone in Bend was happy and polite, and I can see why because it’s such a beautiful place! The lobby has a bar which closes around 10, but front staff will serve you drinks until two in the morning. The beer and cider on rotation were decent choices! This is the second time we’ve stayed here, and we will definitely be back again.
- 5/5
Very clean room
- 5/5
Very nice place!
- 5/5
Clean room - friendly staff - great outdoor area with fire pits.
- 5/5
Loved this hotel! They were very nice and super accommodating! Theres a little burger truck outside that makes the best burgers! Room was very clean. Parking was easy.
- 5/5
Check in was easy, room was clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Such a gem! For this price, what a bargain. I submitted one request for an additional blanket on the website. I received an immediate acknowledgement, and 2 more follow up messages assuring me it was noted. On arrival, the desk clerk also mentioned my request, and asked if I needed anything else. So often those notes (extra pillow, blanket, etc.) are ignored. The room was huge, everything very clean, excellent water pressure and hot water. The bed, which I can be picky about, was lovely. Quiet, comfortable, friendly, economic. Don't miss out.
- 5/5
The staff were amazing, and the room was great as well!
- 4/5
Clean and safe
- 2/5
The lighting was too dark in the main area and the light around both mirrors was so bright I could barely see myself. The toilet paper and tissues were like sandpaper. There was only bar soap to wash. This was the first time I forgot my own. Wish I hadn't. The TV and remote are so old our only choice was cable. No options for apps like Netflix to even log into our own account to watch something current. $3 dollars for a can of water, yes can. Eco-friendly I guess but should be complimentary. Worst thing was the unnecessary bench at the end of the bed. Ran into it and fell twice in the night.
- 5/5
The hotel is beautiful and is within walking distance of downtown.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Staff nice & accommodating!
- 5/5
The staff were very helpful and supportive of us, making sure that we were comfortable. The hotel features an outdoor pool that is gated and surrounded by the hotel complex. The room was very clean, open and comfortable. We will definitely be staying here again.
- 5/5
Great spot. Converted and update motel. It had two king beds that is perfect for our family of 4. The rooms were very nice, comfortable, and clean.
- 5/5
The rooms are big and updated, away from street noise. Lovely outdoor spaces with pool and patio with fire pits. Nice little bar with some food. Best part of this hotel is the staff. Always kind and helpful.
- 5/5
Really pleasant stay. Staff were great. Room had all we needed.
- 5/5
Checking in and out very convenient.
- 5/5
Nice clean room, large shower, diner in the parking lot. Quiet, staff friendly. A wonderful stay.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, large room with fun decor.
- 5/5
The Waypoint Hotel in Bend is one of our favorite places to stay. It is clean, attractive, quiet, and has very comfortable beds. Once we figured out how to control the heat, the room was very comfortable. The location is handy, too. The folks at the front desk are friendly and helpful. Because the Waypoint doesn’t serve breakfast, it may be helpful to know that an excellent breakfast may be had at the Victorian Cafe (on the higher end), or at Burgerville, where they serve a wonderful breakfast burrito, and good coffee.
- 5/5
Clean room. Love the updated look to the room. Shower that is made for people 6ft and taller
- 5/5
Fast and easy check-in. Clean room. Location is close to all the areas we wanted to see.
- 5/5
Perperry friendly
- 4/5
Lots of storage for luggage, lots of parking. Just off the main road so easy to come and go or pop out for something.
- 5/5
Very nice accomodations. Roomy.
- 5/5
Great staff - great rooms!
- 5/5
Clean room with a microwave (?) and refrigerator. Doesn't get much better than that.
- 5/5
Super friendly
- 5/5
I really enjoyed my stay.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, convenient parking, clean rooms
- 5/5
Great place to stay while I was in town for work. Super walkable area and close to most things!
- 2/5
Also, if you book more than one night no way to get out, they will charge you penalties and no refund
- 5/5
Exceeded our expectations. Spacious and very clean.
- 5/5
Nice clean and modern room. Staff was super-friendly and helpful at check-in. Easy 15 min walk to downtown areas and river.
- 4/5
The staff are all lovely, attentive, and welcoming. The beds are comfortable however I found the pillows extremely hard and not comfortable. Overall good value with a smile.
- 5/5
The only negative thing I can say is the traffic noise can be a bit intrusive in the late evening and early morning.
- 5/5
Newly renovated property, close to downtown. Fit our needs for a quick nights stay in Bend.
- 4/5
The lounge was alot of fun - great bartender and they played bingo. The rooms don't look out onto anything but a sidewalk which is different but clean rooms.
- 5/5
Not the nicest area of town, but the hotel is lovely.
- 5/5
The rooms are spacious and nicely appointed with a comfortable bed and nice chair. The pillows leave a bit to be desired but that’s a very individual matter. The only downside we encountered was the lighting in the outside staircase by rooms 130/230. They are on a timer but in the late afternoon it can be tricky when they’re not on.
- 5/5
Nice room, convenient to shopping and servies, quiet.
- 5/5
Clean, safe and close to everything
- 5/5
Great place to stay a few nights. Loved the lobby and small bar with beer and drinks.
- 5/5
Love this property! Very convenient and super service from everyone!
- 4/5
Very nice room and as clean as you can expect horrible coffee but overall I would stay again.
- 3/5
The hotel overall was a nice stay. The bed, however, was very uncomfortable.
- 5/5
Very nice and updated well!!!!
- 5/5
This hotel is excellent! Newly remodeled and offered great service. We appreciated the $3 taps for guests and took a swim in the pool. The room was comfortable, clean and adorable!
- 3/5
Clean. Nice staff. Weird bar. Noisy
- 4/5
price was right for the facilities
- 4/5
Rooms are tiny and very tired. Location is excellent for business. But it’s impossible not to think it is over priced for what it is
- 5/5
Awsome
- 5/5
Parking can be a pain if the hotel is fully booked. Other than that, great hotel. Nice clean rooms and centrally located.
- 5/5
The property itself, it was like a motel resort. Beer on tap at reception, fire pits. Booked last minute, it was a nice surprise.
- 5/5
The rooms were fairly large, and appear to have been recently renovated. A sofa & chair sitting area was a nice amenity, as were the two large well-lighted counters, one inside the bathroom, and other just outside. The hotel location was a little farther than ideal from downtown Bend, but still walking distance.
- 5/5
While we tried a few places downtown our favorite place to dine is called “The Shipyard”, it’s a number of food trucks anchored by a bar, and is only two blocks from Waypoint. We slept comfortably and were grateful for the laundry room. Staff was very nice.
- 5/5
Great location and service.
- 4/5
It was clean
- 5/5
Very kind management and great prices
- 5/5
Modern looking cool design, huge TV in room, well appointed with ample thirsty towels and easy walk to downtown - a really nice option in pricey Bend!
- 5/5
Nice hotel within walking distance to anything you'd want to do!
- 4/5
It's fine, but they should disclose ahead that there is currently major construction going on behind the hotel that starts at 6am(!) with heavy machinery / trucks.
- 3/5
Not bad but the immediate area is very busy with traffic and had several sex shops. Didn’t feel super comfortable leaving the luggage in the brand new rental. No elevator to get to second floor. Tough with a lot of luggage.
- 4/5
It was a nice place and nice room but a bit pricey for the location and what they offer
- 3/5
This was a nice facility. Only complaint is that they have stairs instead of elevators, so lugging our bags up and down was a pain.
- 1/5
Our room reeked of chemical smell that burned the nostrils and made our clothes smell terrible. The ridiculously cheap bathtub faucet barely worked, we had to get hotel staff to show us how to operate it as it sticks really hard in the closed position. The ancient AC unit wouldn't turn, we had to get hotel staff to assist. The bathroom door didn't fit the door frame so it was extremely noisy when opened and closed. The soap that they provide is about the most inexpensive and least effective you could fathom. The nightly rate was over $400 for a crummy room. They obviously found a way to manipulate the Expedia rating system because WayPoint Hotel is definitely not a 9.1 out of 10 stars.
- 3/5
Clean.
- 4/5
Overall a nice place to stay.
- 1/5
Property is an updated motel. Pool is in the middle of the car park. Extremely over priced for what the property is. Breakfast was cheap packaged items. Would not stay again
- 5/5
Wonderful, clean room with very comfortable beds. Quick drive to the concert venue. Staff was awesome!
- 5/5
The front desk was outstanding! They made me feel at home and welcome, and allowed me to hang out at the lobby before my flight after checking out of my hotel. The bed was amazingly comfortable, the room was so cute with the decorations. 10/10.
- 5/5
The updates are very nice. The staff was exceptional.
- 4/5
Loved it
- 5/5
Perfect
- 3/5
The pictures looked better online. Clean hotel overall but not walking distance from downtown.
- 1/5
I wrote Expedia right when I arrived. This property is a re done motel 6. Same rooms and pool in the parking lot. Why to high of price. Picture are really deceiving. Would have not book if know more about property. Expedia did not to help occupy my concern.
- 5/5
The front office people were super friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Nice place to stay
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
thumbs up
- 4/5
we loved the room with 2 king beds - everything was comfy, clean, spacious. The motel is on a busy street and not really walkable, although there is a nice residential neighborhood not far. Liked the firepit area too. Dog was comfortable there also...would stay again.
- 4/5
Also, nice big room with lots of space.
- 1/5
I had an issue with my booking and was instructed to call customer service, I was told by the front desk this would be the only way to resolve the issue. I followed their instructions and went through all the necessary steps, but my request was still denied. Why was I told this was the required process if the request was going to be rejected anyway?
- 5/5
Very responsive front desk!
- 5/5
Our stay was great! Room was nice and clean and hotel was very nice. Great location we will definitely be back.
- 5/5
We really liked the layout of the room. Aside from it being spacious, the open shelving around the TV was smart and convenient. I wish we had more time because the lounge looked excellent, too.
- 4/5
A nice clean room with no carpet which I prefer so I didn’t have any off smell at all. Just a couple things I didn’t like which is small pillows and a low flow shower!
- 4/5
Had a nice stay while in town for a concert. Enjoyed the room, pool area could be nicer. Nice that they have bikes for rent.
- 5/5
Updated property. Used to be the Red Lion.
- 5/5
Great place to stay, more of a motel than a hotel but all in all great.
- 4/5
Great stay! Bend is amazing!
- 5/5
Excellent value for location, comfort and quality. The room is spacious and comfortable. Staffs are friendly and helpful, the $6 tap of local beer, cider and wine add the extra touch.
- 5/5
Thank you for allowing me to watch the Oilers Panthers game in the lounge/bar!!
- 5/5
Phenomenal gem in the heart of Bend. Close to so many good restaurants. The pool was perfect, the discounted tickets to the High Desert Museum were a nice bonus. Would stay here again next time we’re in town.
- 4/5
Well appointed rooms that have been updated. Close to downtown.
- 5/5
Nice, large rooms
- 4/5
Really nice hotel. Spacious parking and even more spacious rooms. Great for business travelers.
- 5/5
Loved how trendy and hip the rooms were while still feeling very useable. Nice pool and hot tub. The staff was super friendly!
- 5/5
First visit was excellent. I’ll be back!
- 4/5
Clean and quiet
- 4/5
Newly remodeled, clean and well appointed. Bed was comfortable and room had a great ductless heating system.
- 5/5
It was a great check in experience- everyone's super nice. Room was clean. Pool and hot tub looked nice too. I would stay here again for sure.
- 3/5
Pictures look nicer than the property was
- 5/5
Very clean and attractive alternative to the dump Motel 6 that could not find our reservation and without it had offered us a dingy dirty room for barely $25 less than this lovely place nearby. Not inexpensive but very nice and in a better quieter location. And Black Bear diner is just across the parking lot.
- 5/5
Hotel is a recent renovation. Very clean and up to date. Great value!
- 4/5
There was a good amount of parking that was well lit. They have a quiet little bar in the back that does comedy night on fridays.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, good location to downtown, clean and affordable.
- 4/5
Trendy style design interior and exterior, two-story motel style. Friendly check-in, quiet rooms. Vending machines for re-heat dinners and other food. Small liquor bar. Outdoor and indoor fireplaces with social seating.
- 5/5
This hotel has been nicely modernized with comfortable beds and new furniture. There is a small grassy area for pets and plenty of parking. We didn't get a chance to try the pool and there's no breakfast, but the Black Bear Diner is right next door. It's pretty close to the I-97 for convenience, but it's not too noisy. It's in a light industrial area but within walking distance of downtown Bend and breweries - about 20 minutes including going under the I-97. But you can just have a brew at the hotel! You don't see many front desks with a row of beer taps behind them, ready to serve thirsty guests.
- 5/5
I love staying at the Waypoint when visiting Bend!
- 4/5
No thrill stay. It's a motel.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, rooms were spacious, close to lots of food options, only drawback was pool wasn't open when it said it was open, but it was kinda chili that day so that might have been why.
- 5/5
Nice staff and makes it great for a large family
- 5/5
This is the second time I’ve stayed at the hotel. I absolutely love it. It’s not far from downtown bend and within walking distance from a few restaurants I love. And the last blockbuster!
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and very helpful
- 5/5
I like that they are dog friendly. The rooms are vinyl flooring so no carpet that hides icky stuff from previous stays. Very clean too!

Nice hotel but converted from old motel. As such there are limitations which cannot be overcome. location, on a busy street and not much sound insulation. Pool is just in the car park and was closed (off season) but wouldn't really want to hang out there due to how it's situated and then the noise/ pollution from the roads and car park traffic. staff we're very friendly and helpful with the rooms nice and clean. Loved the fire pit outdoor seating area.
