Reviews
The hotel reviews are mixed, with guests praising the cleanliness of the rooms and friendliness of the staff, but also expressing disappointment with various aspects of the hotel. Many guests were unhappy with the lack of a pool, issues with the TVs, and problems with the bathrooms, such as poor lighting and slippery shower floors.

The room furniture was well used, sofa bed showed lots of wear and tear. Bed was comfortable. We had an issue with their "room service". I would never order from them again. Overall, if you are just staying the night, might be worth the discounted price.

Took a chance on this place with hardly any reviews. Neighborhood was a mix of sketchy and newer investments. The staff was helpful up to check-in, and then not so much. The bathroom sink was completely broken- no water and a broken sink itself (bottom front of sink was hanging off). The lights of the parking lot/property shine directly in to the unit all night, less than a foot away. My biggest issue was with the back door. The unit we stayed in was on the ground and had a back door that was completely uncovered, allowing anyone to see in. It opened to a patio with the parking lot being right there. While there was a guardrail enclosing the patio, the lack of privacy was an issue for me, and the biggest worry was that there was NO deadlock. Just a sliding lock (no chain) that goes into a drilled out hole about 1/8 inch securing the door shut from the outside. I didn’t discover this until after we arrived home after a concert around 130a, and by then, although I called and asked about the lock/moving units, the on-call help asked if I wanted to check out and that all the units were like this- and that was it. I said a prayer and went to bed. I would NOT recommended this unit, unless you’re okay with this. The manager would not refund anything, and I informed them through our third party booking company that I would be leaving this review- which still did not make a difference in any partial refund- only if we had left in the middle of the night. Not safe. Comfy beds though.

Other than that, it was a very pleasant stay.
- 3/5
We were on the 3rd floor and there was a continuous hum coming from the ceiling (maybe from the HVAC). We didn’t notice it until the tv was off late at night, but it was audible and strong enough that you could feel the ceiling vibrating. The tv remote only turned on the tv and changed the volume. So we were limited to the current channel. Luckily we were up for Friends reruns on TBS. Finally, note that there is no swimming pool.

Friendly staff and clean property. Breakfast , was good. Only complaint, lack of toiletries in room.
- 5/5
We've stayed at this property several times while our son was a student at ISU. The hotel is clean, safe, well maintained, and very comfortable for our needs. Friendly, helpful staff have always made our stays even better. Totally recommend this hotel!
- 2.5/5
The restaurant. There’s no place on the website that stated it was Korean food. We specifically selected this hotel because it had a restaurant. If we had known the menu was so limited would not have booked. T

Staff were great! We had a couple of minor problems but they were very quick to correct the issues! The Korean restaurant was very good too.

The motel was changing to a Clarion, in the process of remodeling so the property was in a disarray. The room was descent, but certainly not up to a 9.2 standard.

Breakfast was the same old same old, but it gets the job done. the lobby looked like they pulled their old furniture from their house. That green couch has to go.

Breakfast selection was ok, warmers are just for show. You'll need to utilize the microwave. What I didn't like..... 1. The hot water is at a dangerously high temp. Someone is going to be severely burned if they aren't aware. 2. The jets on the jacuzzi were not all functioning. Also, there were stains on the tub that appeared to be from ashes/smoking. 3. The couch in the room was ABSOLUTELY disgusting. I could not sit on it without a towel. The cushions are worn down to the point of sinking. 4. Fan nor air on the HVAC unit was in proper working conditions which made for a stuffy night of sleep. 5. There was a problem with Comcast so we were not able to watch any television. We were given a different remote to connect to the Internet but that didn't work either. I had to utilize my personal computer and hot spot. 6. THIS IS THE REASON WHY I'LL NEVER BOOK AGAIN (KRISHNA, if you're still the owner/manager I hope you get to see this) I booked for one night per usual. The room was a bit more costly than usual but I took that on the chin and booked anyway because my body was due for a good soak and jet massage. Even after the collective inconveniences, I decided to stay another night. Before having breakfast, I inquired at the front desk with Arjun about pricing and waiving the second incidental fee (which has been done before). He informed me that I would have to pay the additional incidental fee for the second booking which wasn't the problem. Arjun asked for my information, looked up my reservation and quoted me "$107, including tax". Sounded like a plan to me since that was much cheaper that the previous night; informed Arjun that I'd call from the room after discussing the idea with my husband. We ultimately decided to rebook and I sent my husband to the front desk to pay for the booking. He returned after several minutes telling me to find other accommodations because the tune at the desk changed in less than 20 minutes! $107 was now $185!!!

It was a quiet night. Typically there's an event being hosted and the guests frolick through the hotel light all night long. Breakfast selection was ok, warmers are just for show. The breakfast did not have any of the selections that I enjoy. The gym was good and I utilized the area every day.
- 1/5
Did not use the. Gym, staff appeared “ non accommodating” Requested printed copies of my bill stated since paid via Expedia , they would issue a copy. Requested copy of form from hotel indicating that I had paid $100 dollars for incidentals again stated would send me a copy via email.Clerk didn’t ask for email address, I gave him my email address and requested that I receive a copy!!
- 5/5
Nice for a one night stay
- 3/5
Beds are very uncomfortable with scratchy sheets. Room heater/air conditioner makes a loud clunking noise when it turns on and off. Loud enough to startle you awake.
- 4/5
The room could use some extra sweeping in the bathroom but the room was clean & spelled good. The front desk clerk said he couldn't give me a better rate than going onto the app $146 compared to $117 because the hotel was at full copacity, BUT there were only about 12 cars in the parking lot all night. ??
- 4/5
Staff was courteous, room was clean. Jacuzzi in room worked great and my stay was quiet and relaxing.
- 3.5/5
Good
- 3/5
The room was nice. The whirlpool suite was much smaller than I thought it would be. The staff was kind. I did want to check-in at 1pm due to an early arrival and decided against the check-in at 1 because the front desk wanted an additional $50 for the 2 hours of extra time. That was surprising to me because there were not many guests in the entire hotel that night. It was no where near being a full house.
- 3/5
Room was fine, could have had a little more updating. One lamp had no bulb. Staff was good. Breakfast somewhat sparce for a buffet. No coffee one day. Never any juice.
- 3/5
Room had a smell that was not pleasing. Bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. Pillows were cheap. Linens felt scratchy. We had 2 showers and one just dripped. Elevator was extremely slow.

Bed is about due to be replaced.

The tv didn't work because it was not hooked up to the internet. The remote did not work for the tv. The room across from us was open all night with the towel in in the door unoccupied. There was no breakfast at 8:45 & it stopped at 9:30.
- 5/5
It was very conveniently located near where my family lives.
- 2/5
The bed was awful -- squishy, shaped like a hammock -- and, combined with the cheap pillows, made for rough nights.
- 3.5/5
In the morning the entire hotel was awoken by a fire alarm do to the kitchen burning something. After i was awake i noticed ants in my room on the table and whirlpool tub.

The hotel is clean and I like that it’s close to where my son lives.

Parking was easy but the breakfast was not great and our room was old and the TV was super touchy.

For breakfast, thank you to the hotel for using REAL dishes and silverware! Rooms need a current, modern refresh in order to maintain it's "boutique" character.

This place is amazing & beautiful! I would love to stay here again. Everything was above standard!

Amazing
- 2/5
Bed was terrible T.V. Didn’t work properly will never stay there again
- 3/5
Waited 30 minutes while they tried to find someone to check me in, one staff person who appeared to be in maintenance was extremely helpful. One person sat in the manager office the entire time they were running thru the building looking for the desk staff person. Room had zero toiletries - not even soap to wash your hands (had to use my body wash). That made me uneasy about their standards.
- 3.5/5
Location was fine Breakfast was blah. Rooms were dated and hallway carpets needed to be cleaned, especially the stairwells. Hot water was too hot in one room. My adult children had to use our shower because they were getting scalded. Person who came to check didn’t seem to be knowledgeable about the matter.
- 3/5
Convenient Beds need to be better
- 4/5
Not clean in some areas. Nice and helpful staff. Restaurant was also very good! Breakfast was fair but not great.
- 5/5
Exceptional service. Simple check in. Comfortable room. Clean and tidy environment. Love booking here.

When, we arrived there were ant in the bathroom on the first night. Then the second night we had sheets that had a blood stain on them. The guy came up and corrected, said they were going to give me a refund, I'm still waiting.
- 4/5
Lower handicap bed great for senior
- 3/5
Breakfast unimpressive, paper plates no juices.
- 1.5/5
Easy to book a room Had to switch rooms 2 times due to the first 2 not being cleaned. The 3rd & final room had only 1 bed and had ants in the bathroom. I spent 3 days killing ants. No other room was as available according to staff. Was told my bill would be decreased due to the rooms not being clean & being switched to a smaller room ( 1 bed, not 2). Extremely loud music played in attached building until 1 AM. Not able to sleep.
- 3.5/5
The location was cool. I thought the restaurant looked good, but I didn’t get to eat there. They hiked up the price of this very simple hotel because it was family weekend at ISU. It is disgusting how hotels do that. Terrible. Taking advantage of people who need a place to stay. I wasn’t even in town for tbag. There were ants in the bathroom. The carpet felt like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The remotes were sticky. I didn’t watch tv because I didn’t want to touch the remotes. The staff made me feel uncomfortable. I was a solo woman traveler. They were all men and standing outside when I got back from dinner with friends. They looked at me weird when I walked in. One of them took the stairs while I took the elevator and was standing outside of the room across the hall from me when I got up to my room. He watched me walk into my room. I barricaded the door and slept with pepper spray. Also, I had to pay a $100 deposit for incidentals. They said I’d get my money back within 2-3 business days. It’s been 3 business days and I haven’t gotten it back yet.
- 4/5
Good location, very clean rooms and lobby
- 5/5
The staff was great, very friendly
- 2.5/5
The music was heard and felt into the morning. Did not get sleep the second night.
- 0.5/5
Nothing The room was filthy, and poorly maintained. Furniture was broken and dirty. It was obvious that only the garbage is being emptied and the bed made, absolutely no cleaning happening. Perhaps if there was lighting in the room the maid could see the filth. The couch belongs in the garbage with multiple stains and tears. The bed had terrible dips and the springs were ruined. Ants in the bathroom along with mold in the shower, grout was black instead of white. The air conditioner went on and off every three minutes. The room stunk of unknown origin. Also the conference center had a party going until 2AM, with music blasting and people in the courtyard outside our room yelling and partying. Horribly disappointed, we had no where else to go all hotels in the entire town were booked for family weekend at the college. We contemplated sleeping in our car or knocking on a strangers door and asking to sleep on their basement couch.

The hotel was great! Very friendly staff and the room was spacious and comfortable.

- 5/5
Loved the hot tub in room. The couch had stains they did not clean.
- 5/5
Excellent hotel.
- 2/5
The breakfast wasn’t much and no one served.
- 4/5
Hotel was nice & very clean but the beds are very uncomfortable, mattress were soooo soft. Thats my only complaint.
- 5/5
It was a pleasant experience. The clerks were very friendly and accommodating.
- 4/5
The price was average or better, than most in the area/ The room was neat and clean. Desk clerk was hard to locate on arrival and departure. The ice machine on my floor was not operational. First place I have stayed that required a $100 deposit. Clerk said it would be refunded in 3-5 billing days, clerk couldn't explain why the charge, and doesn't show up on the receipt. Not at all impressed. I will not be back.
- 1/5
Run down hotel. Left a night early because it was disgusting. Mold all around shower.
- 3/5
It’s starting to show its age. I had to find the phone cable and plug it in so I could call the front desk to get the wi-fi password. Room was clean, breakfast buffet was good!
- 3/5
The hallways we’re very hot, common areas we’re not clean like elevator and breakfast was understaffed.
- 4/5
The pool wasn’t operational
- 3/5
Convenient to the airport and clean room. Breakfast was disappointing with no fresh fruit or juices. The elevator certificate was expired, room safes were not working and pool was not filled. We had to complain about excessive noise in the room above us.
- 4/5
The property was warm and inviting. Room was generally comfortable, except for my constant complaint of overdone AC. Rajesh was friendly and professional.
- 5/5
Beds were very comfortable! Room was spacious! Breakfast buffet had many choices! Will stay every time we are in town!
- 5/5
Staff was awesome
- 5/5
I really liked Bonchon. I also liked the complimentary water upon arrival. The staff was wonderful.
- 2/5
The phone in room didn't work. The toilet leaked. The bathroom needed towel racks and hooks for clothes, robes, towels. Handicap bars were there, but they should not be interchangeable with towel racks. The main reason for staying there was for clean room, handicapped accessible bathroom and room and reasonable price and not too far from IL Wesleyan campus, although not truly convenient location-too far away. Price should have been less expensive to compensate, plus pool was under construction. The room was clean and beds comfortable, however bed was too high for my mother, who uses a cane/walker. She fell getting into bed on the last night and I had to call 911 from my mobile phone. Paramedics lifted her up and double-checked her. Issue because hotel phone didn't work and no one was at front desk at that time.
- 4/5
Cold
- 2/5
No sugar for the coffee. Rubber pancakes, no sausage or bacon. Very disappointing. Asked for a receipt, got an excuse. Matress was awful. No extra blanket.
- 3/5
The staff was hard working and lovely. The room was clean and fine except the phone and tv were not functioning and even after we asked nothing was done about it. And the “complimentary” breakfast was absolutely dreadful. Would not return.
- 5/5
A hot tub would have been nice and the breakfast was average at best.
- 3/5
I had an event at ISU this weekend that required an overnight stay. The hotel seemed clean and nice, but the walls are very thin and you can hear everything. The bed was not comfortable at all and sagged majorly to one side.
- 2/5
Someone was able to have a key of my room and walked in.
- 4/5
Very clean. TV did not work. Told the gal at front desk. She said a cable man would be in within the next hour or so. He never came.
- 5/5
I had a wonderful stay here this past few days. The property was very clean and well-maintained. The room was almost perfect, except there was no desk lamp. The breakfast was very basic and unappealing, however.
- 5/5
The hotel has been renovated and is very nice.
- 2/5
The only restaurant was Korean food. Morning breakfast did not even have hot coffee!! The machine was broke. Many usual condiments were missing as well. I will not be going back.
- 2/5
Front desk person was very nice, but check-in was awful. They could not find my reservation and it took 45 minutes on the phone to figure it out.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel in a nice, convenient area with nice restaurant options there and close by.
- 3/5
The room was updated. The breakfast team let me grab cereal after closing time which I appreciated. The bed was not comfortable- lumpy and the room wasn’t well vacuumed. The nightstand lamp didn’t work and the blower was loud. The overall cleanliness was lacking compared to prior visits. The workout room doesn’t have a key secure entry and no cell service, which felt unsafe to me.
- 4/5
Met my needs. The staff was very friendly and the shuttle service met my transportation needs from and to the airport.
- 3/5
People upstairs were very loud! Bed seemed broken with a huge dip in the top
- 2/5
Was not the best experience
- 2/5
A woman from this hotel called me the day of my check in and said there was no card on file for my room. I gave her my credit card information and within 3 days I had multiple fraud charges on that credit card. I was also charged $109 for "incidentals" that I had to call the hotel and argue to get a refund for. I've stayed here multiple times and this is the first time I've ever had a problem but unfortunately I will never go back here. My bank is investigating the woman who works there and sending all the info to the police department.
- 5/5
The hotel is very nice and clean. The staff was nice at check in/out. Room was quiet and the bed was comfortable.
- 5/5
I liked that everything was very clean and the room was gorgeous
- 5/5
Great place. Great price.
- 5/5
Breakfast was great! Wish there were more restaurants close.
- 2/5
As soon as we walked into the room it smelled strongly of cleaner and or some sort of strong air fresher.. not long after arriving we discovered rose petals and old soda bottles near the end of the bed..(as pictured). As well as garbage scattered through out places in the room.. When I took the garbage down the to man at the front desk he stated “okay I’ll document that”. That was the end of the conversation. The filter in the AC/Heat unit was so plugged it wasn’t blowing air.. my boyfriend had to remove the filter and clean it himself. The floor next to the jacuzzi had cigarette ashes on it. Which was weird considering this was supposed to be a smoke free room…Definitely not worth the money I paid and I will not be staying here in the future.
- 5/5
Thanks for a great stay!
- 4/5
Very helpful staff
- 5/5
Friendly and informative front desk staff. Parking was easy and free. The room was clean.
- 4/5
We had a great stay. The general manager welcomed us when we arrived, our rooms not ready due to a computer issue and he offered a beverage on the house. We dined at the restaurant on site twice and it was phenomenal. The rooms were clean and the hotel was quiet. Only room for improvement would be the selection of breakfast was mediocre and it was cold both mornings. Other than that our stay was great and staff was welcoming.
- 4/5
Will be staying here again
- 5/5
The hotel was very clean. The staff I encountered were very nice.
- 5/5
Very enjoyable stay for the price. Quiet friendly atmosphere. Continental breakfast would have been better but they were having an electrical issue so the items weren't really very warm. There was one employee that went above and beyond to make my child happy she went to the extent of taking the waffle maker to a room making a chocolate chip waffle and bringing it to us without our knowledge my kid couldn't have been happier.
- 4/5
Close to the airport and easy to find and get to. The staffs are excellent, friendly and helpful!! Love the breakfast it tasted good!!
- 3/5
At check-in, I was given a room that was already occupied. Got a new rom, but the key cards were wrong. After I woke up the first morning I looked up at the ceiling and saw that someone had taken the smoke detector. When I checked out the guy at the desk couldn't care less about it. He could have apologized.
- 5/5
The bathroom needed more lighting.
- 5/5
Extremely efficient and friendly staff.

Liked all
- 5/5
Clean rooms, decent location, various options for shopping / restaurants around the hotel.
- 3/5
Severe water damage on ceiling in our room
- 5/5
It was a nice stay for one night, clean hotel. As many hotels the shower had black mold in between the caulk but I guess that’s a problem that even the best hotels have. Coffee was good and they had a nice and hot breakfast too. It very well located close by restaurants and it actually has a good Korean chicken restaurant in the first floor.
- 5/5
Very nice and clean will be back
- 4/5
While I would like to see some cosmetic updates to the property, I was very pleased with the staff! They were so helpful in accommodating my Mom, who is disabled. They were so patient and kind to us. I appreciate that.
- 2/5
It wasn't terrible, but it certainly wasn't good. Especially given the price. The property needs some TLC. The pool has seemingly been out of commission for ages. Our mattresses were saggy, offering no support. There was a plumbing leak of some sort in the wall of our room, such that we heard a constant drip-drip-drip. The public areas and rooms generally looked nice and the "big stuff" was kept clean; but not a lot of care given to the details. At breakfast they had run out of some basics - e.g. sugar for coffee. Not terrible in a pinch and at off-peak pricing, but certainly not worth $200/night given alternatives in the area.
- 4/5
Pleasantly surprised by overall experience
- 5/5
Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff was excellent and helpful.
- 4/5
Good stay. People friendly

Tv nor toilet worked in room
- 5/5
All around a very nice hotel.
- 4/5
Conference room had no AC
- 3/5
The rooms were outdated. Some peeling paint, ok for a night.
- 1/5
This is the worst hotel I have ever been to I would not ever stay here again and I would not recommend the hotel to anyone, I am disabled when I looked at this hotel it said low height beds which I really need I called this hotel after I booked and they informed me they would be able to make this happened we get to the hotel and the bed was about 4 ft high I couldn’t get in the bed the toilet was leaking everywhere. The refidgerator didn’t work either instead of the 3 nights we only stayed one night for all the inconvenious they offered NOTHING as this is part of IHG I would dump them from your list They do not know how to take care of their customers this is the worst place EVER

Everything
- 3/5
The facility overall has a tired, old feel to it. The first thing I noticed is the dirty floor mats at the entrance. The room was clean enough and absolutely fine for one night stay. It had a weird smell, not really unpleasant, just odd. The vending machine took my money without giving a drink. The pool is an absolute eye sore and a danger. There is only fencing around half of it and the water in it is completely gross with trash floating. I understand it's being worked on but it really was disgusting. That being said, the girl who checked us in was an absolute gem! Young but so professional, efficient, and very pleasant. An asset to this otherwise "tired" hotel.
- 1/5
The hallways did not have air. We had the air set on 65 when we were in there, but when we would leave and come back it would be set back on 85. We would need a new key card each time to re-enter the room because it would not let us in (no we did not keep the key by our phone). Housekeeping never came. The front desk would not answer. We were locked out of our room for 30 minutes because we could not find anyone at the desk to reactivate our card. The TV in the room was broke and staff could not fix it. We had no shower pressure in our room so we had to go to our friends room to use their shower.
- 5/5
The pool was closed but the staff was great!!! Room and beds were clean, large tv and a/c was cold.
- 4/5
This was a very nice place to stay. Clean, nice pressure on the shower with hot water. The biggest drawback was the breakfast - ended up eating out every morning.

I got charged for 3 nights instead of 2 and when I tried talking to the front desk she was not at all helpful. She just kept saying the same thing over and over “that’s not what my computer shows” I showed her my bank statement and my confirmation email and she didn’t even say anything she just stood there blankly. When my friend who was staying with me went down to ask for more pillows there was no one at the front desk so she stood there for 30 minutes waiting for someone. The hotel itself is fine but I found the staff to be less than helpful.

Impressed

Room was dimly lit. Only 2 lamps, no lamp on desk or on one side of bed. Light in bathroom was very dim, by wife could barely see to put on makeup. Bed was only about 12" from heat unit which made it a chore to get out of. Mattress was much too soft for me. Once I got into bed I sank into the mattress and could not move. No pool, "under construction".

Vending and ice machine out of order. Upon check in their system would not take any one of my cards, which is not a problem with my cards. I kept getting fraud alert texts which isn’t because I’m out of my home area. I notified my bank of travel plans. I had already paid for my room it was only for incidentals.

It smelled clean when we walked in

shower needs some kind of non-slip material on floor.

I worked on this hotel during original construction… It has been well maintained. Beds are very comfortable…Staff is great. The big negative was the pool is not available and is an eyesore. Possibly even danger as covering has rotted and degraded…

Very nice, clean hotel!

The check-in and out was very fast, room spotless clean and all appliances in working condition. I'd liked to have more light in the bathroom and the shower floor was very slippery. Decent breakfast. Will stay here again on my next trip

Greeted and welcomed by a very friendly manager. Check in and out was breeze. Great fresh food at a reasonable price right in hotel. Price was very reasonable. Very clean and room was a nice size not cramped. Will definitely say here again in the future

The stay was great, comfortable bed, great breakfast, cleaned and smelled nice. Lots of restaurants just across the street. The pool is being "redone" but has been since 2022. So was upset no pool.

The staff very helpful. He arranged the shuttle pickup for us although it was very late.

The staff is really good. It’s not often I can post this. I watched the General Manager interact with guests and staff. She was very welcoming and on top of a very busy lobby. The best hotels will always have their GM’s on the floor. The lobby was really pretty with very nice tile and lots of places to sit. There is a restaurant on site that’s good also. I’ll definitely stay there again when I am in Bloomington
