We had 2 rooms at the Red Roof Inn. One room the A/C didnt work properly and would barely run. The rooms smelled like someone had smoked in them. The ceiling tiles in bathroom were broken and water stained.

I booked my son a room here a few times and he absolutely loved it. He said the guy that works nights is very helpful and customer service was very great. I know I felt safe booking my son a room there and very great ful to the guy that took care of his stay. And he said the breakfast was gr8t too. We recommend...

I think the price and ease of booking was fair for the accommodations. You receive some toiletries.close to restaurants (in walking distance). Room didn’t feel as clean. There was a stain on the bed. I saw an ant by the window. It was a little noisy from the person next door going in/out the room.

Dated and old rooms. Peeling paint, bubling drywall. Patched and unpainted walls. Breakfast was barely existent and woeful. Not what one would expext for a $100.00 plus room.Wake up Red Roof Inns. Yes we like value but this one failed. 1st room smelled of cat urine and quilt was stained. Poor conditions overall.

- 0.5/5
They had an open room. The hotel was terrible. When going to check in I had to wait at the door because it was locked. Finally the guy came out. Told me the TVs were all out. Fine, it's past midnight, I just need somewhere to sleep. Got to the room. The bed is a double at best. Reservation said it was queen. The inside of this room was horrible. The smell was bad but manageable. Again, it was past midnight. After sleeping as best I could. We woke up to find all of these other awful things. Broken bathroom door. Cockroaches. Black mold? See photos.
- 5/5
Only problem I had was there wasn't a security latch on the door. I reported it to staff and she said that the maintenance staff would take care of it on Monday.

They gave me a room where the shower was inoperable. I had to use the ice bucket to rinse off. They were not busy so why give me an inoperable room. Not pleased at all.

He did not stay once we saw the room. We left immediately. Do not stay in his hotel ever. I want to refund immediately. Bedbugs roaches, blood splatters, mold!!! Nasty, dirty, and not fit for any human too sleep in. This hotel should be condemned!
- 4/5
Bedding had stains on it, floors were old and appeared dirty. The TV remote did not allow us to switch channels but did turn the tv on.
- 2/5
The condition of the room was very bad. Water damage in the ceiling and the floor showed that there had been some kind of flooding problem. The heater smelled moldy as if it had been wet and not cleaned, making it unusable. The laminate flooring was buckled and black between the pieces of flooring. The worst part was the curtain to the room: some sort of white crusty something was stuck to it. To their credit, the staff cleaned the curtain when I asked, but I shouldn't have to ask. The breakfast was also substandard (stale white bread, plain bagels, apple juice, raisin bran and fruit loops were all that was available - no protein of any kind).
- 5/5
The room is sufficiently clean and maintained. It's not glamorous but it has everything needed. Most importantly, no bed bugs. Not much provided for breakfast but given the general price of the room, you can cross the street to McDonalds for breakfast. The managers are cordial, and the lady there in the evenings is nice.
- 5/5
Very convenient and nice staff. The room was nice and clean
- 1/5
I had to leave the room 2 days before my stay expired because there were bugs in my bed. I tried reaching out to get a refund, but they did not resolve anything for me. I changed rooms twice because there is always something not working such as heater, toilette, or shower/hot water.

Light above the sink didn't work at all and the floor wasn't as clean as it could be. The AC controls appeared to be in Celsius, which is fine for me, but may be a bigger issue for some. The room was cozy and fairly clean. The bedding had what appeared to be a couple of small stains, but was clean and comfortable otherwise. The bed allowed for a good night's sleep. Good value overall.

The Red Roof Inn needs some major updates and cleaning. Paint was chipping off the walls. The pillows had stains on them. The tub/ shower was dirty with hair left behind from previous guest.
- 1/5
Property was dirty. Garbage cans overflowing. Hair in the shower. Floors were filthy and cracks and bubbles in the laminate in the room. Stains on the towels. Loud and noisy from other guests partying in the parking lot until all hours of the night. Breakfast was a joke. Don’t do it!

The bathroom was terrible. Things were falling apart. The sink faucet was coming apart. The main door lock was coming off and the door didn’t secure very well.

Disappointing experience with mold issues in multiple rooms. Staff didn't seem to prioritize resolving the problem. Not what I expected from a hotel. Might not be the best fit for everyone.

Nice place to stay.
- 3/5
Room was clean. Door lock was loose and the door didn't close tight. We asked about changing rooms, but was told that we would not be bothered. We moved the table in front of the door for peace of mind. A hole in the bathroom door and trim loose in bathroom with several water damaged ceiling tiles.

- 3/5
The staff was very friendly. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable; the pillows were very flat. Breakfast consisted of instant oatmeal, dry cereal, or toast/bagels. I would have liked some fresh fruit, a yogurt, or some hard-boiled eggs-something with protein.
- 1/5
The property was in disrepair. The floor in our room was in bad shape. The walls needed to be repainted. The air conditioning barely worked we couldn’t get it cool in our room. We couldn’t get a signal on the tv and when we told the front desk they never came to fix it. The stairwell had loose steps.
- 2/5
Stayed for one night for an event near by, the room and facility was so dirty.
- 1/5
Locks were broke on the doors. Floors were in very bad condition. Water damage to flooring and walls. For $60 a night you should still feel safe. I left after being checked in for only 4 hours. Would NOT recommend.
- 1/5
This trip was for my son's orient for college. They say started of great. My husband finally made it into town. He got settled in and then he spotted a bed bed bug. Went to the front desk to let them know, we got another room and guess what? Another bed bug!!!! We requested our money back and these people will not give us our money back. Talking about some rules and regulations!!! What rule and regulations as states that a person doesn't deserve their money back if an establishment has bed bugs!!! The rooms weren't all that anyway. Whatever you do, don't stay at the red roof inn in Bloomington, IL
- 3/5
We were not given any information about the breakfast time schedule, and there was no information in the room about it, or any area restaurants either. I just went there at a reasonable time to see what they had to offer. Breakfast offerings were bread and bagels -with a toaster, juice, coffee, and milk, green bananas and one flavor of yogurt. Oh and two sweetened cereals. Margarine -not butter, peanut butter, cream cheese and two jelly’s were offered to accompany the bread. The refrigerator in the room was not even cool when we opened it up to put our drinks in it, but it did cool down after I changed the temperature setting. Even though my reservation clearly was for two people, it only had towels & washcloths for one person. I have stayed in many Red Roof Inns before, and I can say this one was very disappointing.
- 3/5
the rust & water stains paired with loud tenants left me largely unrested unless i had earbuds to tune it out. no insect issues, and plenty of power solutions

- 1/5
Overall a very gross place to stay
- 2/5
The man working the front desk was very nice. The hotel looks nothing like the pictures. When we checked into the room the door looked like someone had tried breaking in with a crow bar. The wall was peeling off and the bathtub had black stuff all around on top. I wasn’t comfortable staying there so we left immediately.
- 1/5
Smelled like dog hair and mildew no bed bugs that I didn’t see but couldn’t stop itching remote control didn’t work hot water takes a while to heat up rooms needs to be remodeled felt like a crack wh*re in a sleezy hotel I left to find a better hotel within 10 minutes 👎👎👎 staff makes excuses for horrible rooms

Horrible! First the property shook me down for another $50.00 AFTER I had it paid for on Expedia. (Call me, I'll give you the details). The hotel had homeless people walking around it. The doorknob literally fell off from the inside of the door, I repaired it the best I could so we could exit quickly in an emergency. At night there was a strange noise coming from inside the wall in front of the bed. We couldn't decide if something was walking around in the wall or if it was something else. Nothing would have surprised me. STAY HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
- 3/5
This facility had a very good rating on your website but was to me the bare minimum for a hotel in today's market.
- 3/5
My bed had bugs, there was no light at the sink, hair dryer not working and the smell of the room. I always bring an air freshner which I seldom use and I use it that night and morning. The people working there were nice. They move us to a different room the next day. Better but the toilet flush was not working but they did fix it. It was just an inconvenience for a short stay. I am not expecting to be a 5 star. Just need a place to sleep without hassle.
- 2/5
Room was dirty. mold all over shower and sink. floor boards broken and pulling apart
- 2/5
Bed was broken
- 2/5
Definitely not the pictures shown online . Beds adequate. Made the best of it because we were tired , would not recommend.
- 1/5
Dirty, loud and unkept. Sheets stained and floors sticky! Never again!
- 5/5
Thick dust around the bed, pillows are flat and hard, bed is lumpy.
- 5/5
Staff was GREAT.Left a personable item was contacted, and item returned. 3 CHEERS
- 2/5
There was a man with a sign begging in the dark at 11pm at night on the corner where you turn in to the property. Rooms are outside access. I was traveling alone. The room had a horrible smell that had been masked (without success) by air freshener.
- 2/5
This hotel is rundown and needs a lot of work. Our shower did work very well because only about half the water was transferred to the showerhead when we pulled the water outlet switch. The room was also not as clean as we would expect and we found a couple of dead bugs in the bathroom and sink.
- 2/5
No hot water, and not enough of a discount on the room to make up for it.
- 2/5
We found stains on the sheets and bugs on the box spring.
- 2/5
Could use some updates, dead bolt would not work, toilet wasn't flushed drinks from previous guest left in the refrigerator, towels were stained and there where bugs crawling around. will not ever return to stay
- 1/5
I was told if i wanted hot water to start. Then i was given the key go and inspect the room. We went smelled bad the ceiling tile missing, just bad. Aftet calling a few places eveything was booked due to parent week for ISU. We had to suck it up and stay just to sleep a few hours. Will never stay at any red roof locations.
- 1/5
Bad experience! No hot water, ice machine broken, toilet was wobbly. Asked 3 times for a few extra pillows, for my bad back. Never got them, ended up sleeping in my van for half the night. We won’t be back!
- 1/5
Last minute to book for daughter college activities.
- 1/5
It consists of two buildings for guests, one had no hot water, the other was infested with cockroaches. When I arrived and saw the above I canceled my reservation.
- 1/5
We were unable to stay at this hotel. Upon check-in we were asked if we wanted hot water. Never have I ever been asked this question when staying ant an hotel. Apparently their hot water broke that day. We were not willing to stay in a room, at an inflated price due to parents weekend at ISU, without hot water. The desk attendant was very nice and said we could cancel our reservation but we’d need to also cancel it through Expedia. When I called Expedia (which was a whole fiasco) I was told that I would have to pay the penalty, which was the cost of the room, and not get a reimbursement because I was outside of the cancellation window. Once again I explained that the property didn’t have hot water and given a phone number to call, only to find when I called it was the same number I had already called. I was appalled that Expedia’s response to the hotel’s issue and was not accommodating. So if the property burned down and I didn’t cancel beforehand I would be subject to paying the price of my room? I DID find a much more understandable Expedia representative through the virtual chat. They apologized for the conditions at the hotel and worked with me to get a refund. It should take 24-48 hours so it’s not guaranteed yet. I will NEVER use Expedia again after this incident. We ended up driving back home late at night as we didn’t have a place to stay and hotels were booked because of parents weekend.
- 2/5
No hot water, room was generally fine and clean
- 1/5
This place was absolutely terrible. Room was not like it was on portrayed in the hotel pictures. Room looked dirty with stains all over the place, holes in wall and dead bugs and webbing on the window. Breakfast was supposedly included but not available.
- 3/5
Air did not work. Outside parking lot in disrepair.
- 4/5
Great location for easy on/off. Lots of restaurants nearby. I stop for a good rest and hot shower, which I did not get…the mattress is extremely uncomfortable and I tossed and turned all night. They have good water pressure but when you turn on the shower all you get is a trickle. The room was clean with new furniture, but the bathroom was subpar. I wouldn’t go back-definitely not worth the money spent

Where do I start. I came to my room and the door was opened...weird. The place is absolutely filthy, gross and disgusting!!! I have pictures to prove it. Microwave and refrigerator were not working. No coffee machine ( wouldn't use it anyway-gross! I have never written a negative comment about anywhere I have stayed and I travel a lot. I am so disgusted that I am going to try to get my money back .

- 4/5
The rooms were fair to medley. However, temperature control was just difficult
- 3/5
This hotel cost us 4x the standard price because of graduation weekend for the University. $200 per night. That said, the room was clean and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. Don’t expect more than cereal and yogurt for breakfast, and the motel rooms next to the interstate will certainly not be sound proof. It’s not a resort. It will suffice for an overnight stay.
- 2/5
The lobby rest room was out of order. The bed felt like a box spring. The room floor wasn’t clean.
- 4/5
Night staff friendly
- 2/5
Was not impressed with the inn. Floors were cracked, breakfast was the bare minimum and the front desk staff was not of much help.
- 4/5
Nice friendly staff and clean rooms.
- 1/5
I do not recommend this place, unless there’s nothing else around. The room was very dirty, and the smell in the room was horrendous. The price has nothing to do with the value. Save your money elsewhere.
- 3/5
The area the hotel is in is not a good looking area. Little spooky. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling and the trim was pulled away.
- 2/5
Rooms definitely need to be repaired. Bed linens seemed to be clean. Walls needed to be replastered. Ceilings had water stains. Price was inflated because it was college graduation weekend. $200 for this room was unacceptable. We reserved a king bed, front desk called it a king size bed but it was definitely only a full size bed.
- 1/5
The Front desk attendant asked me how much i paid for the room when checking in. Then asked if i was paying with a card & gave me the last four digits of the card but that didnt match my card at all....Outside walls the paint is peeling & also from all exterior walkways & stairs. My room had a wet stain on ceiling & wallpaper peeling. Also the floor tile was chipped off & buckling at one place.
- 2/5
Sink emptied into an open bucket, rendering it totally unusable and disgusting.
- 1/5
Check out at 11 they was knocking on my door at 830 in the morning talking about housekeeping
- 1/5
We got into the room, it smelled like cigarettes, it was trash’s and garbage under the bed, horrible, we ended up not staying and getting another hotel at a different place. 0/10

Based on the photos online, we thought we would be staying in a hotel, but this Red Roof Inn is more like a motel, with two stories and doors to the rooms facing the parking lot. We were on the second floor, and there isn't an elevator. The room was fine, but the floors are vinyl/linoleum and could use a good sweep and mop. The bedskirt had gunk on it, and the fan in the bathroom was very loud and squeaky. The motel is close to the highway, and there was a loud rumble/vibration throughout the night, and I couldn't figure out if it came from the hotel itself or from the highway. Otherwise, the room was quiet. The motel does not have an ice maker, but the front desk will provide ice from an ice tray made in a freezer in one of the back rooms if you ask. Breakfast is starch-based (cereal, bagels/toast), coffee and juice but no protein (not even hard boiled eggs or yogurt) or fruit. The bed was comfortable and the linens were very nice. We appreciated the refrigerator, microwave, desk and coffee maker in the room. If you need a safe place to sleep on a limited budget, this is your place.
- 5/5
Great reception and room very clean
- 2/5
Ceiling drywall was wet and crumbled in front of the door entry. The ceiling fire alarm sensor was constantly beeping. On the bright side we asked for a new room and was given one. The enclosed middle entry by the stair well had no smoking signs and stank with smoke and the concrete floor was crumbly and needed to be refinished.
- 1/5
The front desk man opens your door without knocking at 11pm at night. I own a company so I have several employees that have stayed at this location. 2 of them complained about this situation.
