Very clean room, comfy beds, staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast area needs some remodeling, breakfast needs a little more variety. Otherwise very quiet and peaceful place to have good night rest!

We only stayed one night, but end up at a different hotel because we end up extending our trip. We should have gone back to this hotel. We had a good stay.

The lobby area was well maintained and welcoming. Upon entering the room, there was a musty smell that never went away even with the air on and windows open. The pool room smelled like mildew and the paint from the bottom of the pool was getting stuck to our feet and peeling off as we walked. There was no hot tub as advertised.

The beds were comfy. Slept very well. Was easy to access from the highway. Our room was likely one that had been refurbished with new furniture which was nice. A sign indicated that the hotel was going through renovations which it desperately needs. Changes feel/look like they are being done cheaply just to cover things up and make it look fresh.

Staff went out of there way to arrange for our large group to be close together and arranged the breakfast area in the evening so we could visit.

Breakfast was nice, but unfortunately the waffle mix was very thin & we couldn’t make a good one. According to other guests who were there, waffle mix was fine & they made a nice fluffy waffles the day before. Oh, well…

We arrived early and we were greeted a very nice gentleman. He was able to check and saw that our room was clean and ready for us. We were able to check in and relax before we went to a graduation. In the morning we just grabbed a cup of coffee from the coffee table and left. I had accidentally left my jacket in the closet. We called and spoke with a woman who was able to retrieve it and hold onto it. I had my daughter who was still nearby and she picked it up. I was very happy with the service there.

The beds were not comfortable - hard as a rock. They also said they were updating..which is needed. We still enjoyed our stay.

I left a bad review on their website. I got an email from a manager stating that they were sorry for the inconvenience, but that they did relocate us free of charge. I tried to reply and emphasize the fact that I was charged, but the email was from a no reply address. I want a refund, but don't know how to get a hold of anyone.

This is a very conveniently located hotel, modestly priced, clean and comfortable with a decent breakfast. The staff are very nice, and I have stayed here several times while passing through. I will stay here again the next time I need to stop in the Bloomington area.

Location is convenient. Bed was pretty comfortable. Breakfast room is tiny and eggs and coffee ran out without being replaced, despite being the middle of breakfast hours.

Clean Breakfast was good, but it was cold. Warmer for food was broken. They don't have a hot tub.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. They also have the most unique breakfast we have ever seen. In addition to the regular waffle, cereal, yogurt, pastry fare, they also had breakfast burrito type eggs, macaroni and cheese, egg McMuffins, and hamburgers with toppings!!

We had an event we were attending on Saturday and Sunday and booked the room for Saturday stay. Late Friday night two tornados went thru and our event was cancelled due to no electricity. When I went to cancel our room at 11 Saturday morning they would not allow it, said we still had to pay since we hadn’t cancelled 72 hours before the stay! We had not even checked in for our Saturday stay. So don’t book here because if an emergency comes up you won’t be able to cancel.

My problem was with Booking.com. They charged my credit card . When I got to the hotel booking . Com credit card declined. It was well in the hours before we got a room. The third party was awful. The property was find.

I could tell they have done some renovations to rooms and hallways; new carpets and furnishings, however, pool area needs lots of work and deep cleaning. Outside could use a fresh coat of paint and cleaning. Lots of drywall repairs needed in common areas.

Found 3 stink bugs in our room, hotel was very outdated & dirty. There were boxsprings in the hallway and headboards in the stairwell as if they just store things wherever they want. Pool has been out of order for over a week The so called breakfast was horrible and there was never anyone at the front desk.

The person that checked in was excellent. This review shouldn't reflect on her in any way. However, the pool being insanely cold (the room was 50-60 degrees and the thermostat in the pool room was broken.) The water was even colder. There should be something on the website showing the pool was out of order (and the hot tub is gone.) We would have gladly chosen another hotel that could accommodate our desires. This was the biggest reason we chose this hotel and were insanely disappointed.

Breakfast menu needs healthier options

The room felt pretty neglected, ie rust on the bathroom shelf, microwave cabinet door coming off the hinges. The pool was so cold it was unusable.

I booked at the last minute, just an overnight, so I was grateful they had a room (303) available. The room was clean, but there was no hot water. I didn’t discover this until the next morning when I tried to shower. I wanted to tell the front desk when I checked out, but there wasn’t anybody there and we were in a hurry to go. I would stay there again, but I’d check the water temperature upon arrival.

I always check the AC/heater unit screens to see if clean. They were. Indicates they pay attention to cleaning the room.

The staff was no where to be found for about 15 mins...When they did appear, they were very courteous! However they facility is old and dusty! Major construction was taking place to the ceiling of the lobby. The room is also old and very dingy! I had to turn the heater up to 78 degrees to get it to warm up. Definately overpriced!

Check-in was a disaster (clerk couldn't read the print on my ID or credit card and kept asking me if I knew what she had already asked me). Room was recently smoked in, and the curtains didn't fully close. Everything was old and worn.

Staff was apologetic and moved us to a different room, but only after my wife was bitten by fleas and our dog had them crawling all over him. We had to give our dog a bath and the next day we took him to a professional groomer for a flea treatment and also detailed our van so fleas wouldn’t be carried into our home.

By accident I found the unmarked property on my own. When I arrived, the teenaged girl at the desk ignored me while she was reading a book. I had to raise my voice to get her attention. AVOID this facility; save yourself unnecessary aggravation.

They advertised a hot tub, but they took it out, so that was disappointing. That is one reason i booked there or i would have went somewhere else. When you pay for that and expect it to be there, that is not right. The beds were hard as well.

Everything about the hotel was great-fresh rooms, clean property, nice area. Only issue was the woman that checked us in had issues with the computer system and from the time we walked through the door at 11:30pm it was about 30 minutes until we actually got to our room. After driving for 6 hours we just wanted to get to our room, we really didn’t want to listen to how terrible the system was an other negative chit chat. Breakfast was your typical continental waffle, cereal, yogurt which was as expected. Checkout was fast & easy.

Staff (especially Chrissy(?) at check in were phenomenal - sign said facility was being "refreshed", so maybe these are in the process of being addressed, but... Hotel problems: 1)room phone mislabeled and dysfunctional, 2)desk chair stuck at "pre-school " height ( replaced by staff), 3) bathroom sink didn't drain, 4) no tp holder, 5) no Kleenex, 6) mini fridge/micro cabinet not set up for easy access (hinges bent from awkward positioning, 7) indirect lighting horrible for reading and/or paperwork, and 8) outside ground spotlight shining in Through the curtains all night long... If these can be addressed, I'd be happy to return next year.

Staff was nowhere to be seen when we arrived. Rang the bell, called the phone, nothing for nearly 10 minutes. Then got to the room and the bathtub looked dirty, the paint job in the bathroom was sloppy with paint drips on the tile floor. There were crumbs in the bed when we pulled back the sheets and the nightstands had cup rings and also sticky stuff on them. We usually have great experienced with Country Inn & Suites which is why I prefer to book rooms with them. But this location is not great.

While I normally do not leave reviews, I was hoping for someone to reach back out to me after receiving a text from the property regarding my stay. It was stated that someone would follow-up with me, and no one has. I realize the property is going through upgrades, so I am assuming my king suite on the 3rd floor has not had any upgrades yet. The carpet was stained, the walls were dirty with sticky dripping spilled drinks near the fridge, the bathroom doors/floor were dirty, there was rusty mildew all over the bathroom door frame, the ceiling had a huge crack, there was a dead roach on the carpet by the bedside table, and the shower had zero pressure. I mentioned this at checkout and was simply apologized to. I have never had this many issues at a hotel before and would appreciate speaking to someone about a refund. I have photos of all of the above issues if needed. Thank you.

Black mold in the hallway. The room was so humid, our bedding was wet and so were our clothes in our suitcase when we woke up in the morning. Terrible, musty smell and damp air. We have stayed here before with no trouble, but we will not stay here again next year.

We enjoyed our stay. We had our dog with us and we were especially happy with how nice this dog friendly hotel was in cleanliness and atmosphere.

The staff were very nice but maybe understaffed (splitting time between front desk and breakfast service). The hotel was in the middle of a renew and not everything matched, but it was all clean and comfortable!

It was also freezing. Fine for somewhere to sleep while passing through. Would not recommend overall; spend the extra $30 and stay at one of the other hotels on the same road.

Breakfast was ok. Bathroom faucet in our room was not attached to sink. Waited at least 10 minutes for a staff person to finish smoking so I could check-in (the sign on the counter stated helping other customers!) But she was very friendly once present. Room was clean!

The elevator creaked and jerked so we declined to use it again, Our room was old, there were chips and holes in the walls, the cabinets were broken and there was hair in the bathtub. We have stayed in several Country Inns but this one was by far the worst one.

The Refrigerator did not work causing storage issues for my wife’s expensive diabetes medication. Also, the exhaust fan in the bathroom was broken. The staff seems to not really care saying they would let maintenance know. The pool was also not available either.

The hotel is remodeling, but that was never mentioned on their website or when I reserve the room. The pool was closed. The park lot torn up. Worst of all the mattress was so bad, making someone roll to the middle as soon as I laid down. I told the receptionist about a light out on my bedstand. She said she would come up but never came up to the room. The faucet in the shower would only run cold water. I turned it off and turned it back on, then it would only run hot water. Very frustrating.

Convenient clean location stop for our roadtrip

Great overnight stay as we continued our cross country road trip.

Housekeeping didnt vacuum our room after the last guests, noticeable crumbs on the floor and cough syrup cup on the floor behind the door. Tv didn't work, wouldn't connect to internet and no standard channels. Front desk never came to help.

Bedside lamp in second room did not work either but we just left it. Looks like they are trying to upgrade but just covering up and not fixing issues. Feels tired and outdated. Staff very friendly and helpful.

We stayed for a night passing through. The room was great. It was newly renovated and there was plenty of room for 2 adults, 2 kids and 2 small dogs. They are in the process of renovating which would bother some people but it’s part of business. This was a great value for the price.

This stay was absolutely terrible. The hotel was under construction, but not mentioned on website. The pool was not working and also not mentioned. The entire property was filthy and the massive dumpster overflowing. Awful experience and the staff was not helpful when we decided to leave and go to another hotel. No refund offered and no apology.

I booked this hotel for me and my two friends for tailgate n tallboys weekend. The first 12 hours was an absolute crap show. First, the two keys wouldn’t work I had to walk back down to the desk. Then when we get into the room I see it’s 2 double debs when I booked a king suite that had a pull out sofa bed. No big deal. 2 hours later they came up banging on the door kicking us out cause they put us in the wrong room. So we got moved to the king suite I booked. Only to discover it wasn’t even properly cleaned. The sheets on the pull out bed were still dirty and had a certain kind of stain from someone’s fun on the couch. There was garbage under the bed. And I found DOG FOOD KIBBLE BITS on the floor by the bathroom… so I went down to make a complaint only to find out I wasn’t even in their system even tho I already pre paid for the room. Then magically I was in the system later on. I was so upset after I made the complain and was never followed up with after the fact. THEN the toilet just starts flooding. I have had it I was livid. I went down and demanded a new room. I was a hot tamale let me tell you. So they had to clean ANOTHER suite for us. That’s literally 3 rooms in a matter of 12 hours. I should not have had to pay for that first nights stay with all the problems that weren’t even our fault.

Now the negative list: They did not have enough parking spaces for the number of rooms sold so if you were the last ones to the hotel at night, you did not have a place to park. Every night guests ended up parking at neighboring lots and we saw several get towed the next morning. The pool and hot tub were closed for ‘maintenance’ all weekend which was not disclosed at booking. Our room was not in good repair. The couch had stains on the cushions. The curtains and walls had huge stains. There was no bedding for the sofa bed. (They did give us some when we asked) When we asked for 4 new towels, they gave us 3 and said they were almost out of clean laundry so they couldn’t give us 4 even though we had 4 people in the room. Our toilet clogged and we called down and asked for a plunger. They brought it up but the two employees had a disagreement over which one would come in and help us until I said I would do it, I just needed the plunger. Then they told us that you aren’t allowed to put any toilet paper in their toilets. It all has to go in the garbage can or the toilets will overflow. Overall, I hope to not need to stay at this location again. It was by far the worst of any from this chain that I’ve stayed in.

No body wash in dispenser. Shampoo almost empty. No coffee packets for room coffee maker. Front desk didn't respond to request for more coffee, even after asking if we needed anything.

Room was humid. Set thermostat at 61 and felt like 75 in the room. Made it hard to sleep.

Our stay was clean. We were not told pool was not usable. Breakfast was the worst. I understand the food is heat and serve but it was the WORST! The toilet in our room was a very low to the ground. I always chose hotels with pools. Your site said there was a pool. The pool was closed under repairs. I would have stayed elsewhere. You should stay more up to date.

I m made a mistake booking there. The cheap toilet seat was broken, the shower had low water pressure, and didn't have hot water and one of two queen beds was against the wall making it difficult for two people to get in and out of the bed. The room was small and noisy too from machines nearby.

The bathroom and linen were very clean. The pool and spa are shut down for renovations, and we weren't made aware until check-in. Breakfast options are limited, and there no alternatives for those with dairy allergies. Curtains were dirty and there were holes in the window screens. The outlet by the windows needs to be refitted. The staff was very courteous and friendly, which made up for a lot.

Free breakfast was a joke and inedible. regular coffee was like tea. decaf was better but cold. bagels hard as rock. tv's were something from 15 years ago. one of the room's walls was.painted black. the tile in the bathroom was unfinished. nearly no water pressure in the shower. this place is an embarassment to Country Inn & Suite brand

Room was dirty,

We were just passing through, but the hotel made us want to stay longer. The room was excellent and very comfortable.

If you plan to make coffee, brush your teeth or take pills, be sure to bring your own water. The faucet water tastes like mold and is unusable. Also the bathroom mirror provides very little light for makeup and there is no hairdryer. In spite of those things, I enjoyed my stay and will stay again. It is a great value for the price.

The property is was undergoing renovation when we visited. Not everything was open. There was an odd smell which may have related to renovation. Service staff was polite and friendly.

Our room had cracked sinks basin that didn’t effect function just appearance. Bed was very uncomfortable with firm sides and soft sagging middle that pulled you in while sleeping. Staff was friendly and reminded us that hotel was under new ownership and going to get remolded (why pool and hot tub was not working during our stay)

The woman at the desk was great. Very friendly and service-oriented. The condition of the hotel was disgusting. Aside from the construction, our room itself smelled horrible- old and dusty. There was urine around the base of the toilet which I photographed. The bed was lumpy and very uncomfortable. There was debris and stains along the edges of floor as if someone didn’t clean up from the remodel. The water smelled awful. We took a sip of it and it literally made us sick. The woman at the front desk was so nice and hospitable I couldn’t bring myself to mention it to her.

It was very clean, quiet and both night person and morning person very helpul, professional and gave great customer service. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.

This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had in a hotel. Honestly it should be refunded. The TVs didn’t work. It was filthy. We had to ask the front desk lady 4 times for what we need but she seemed drunk and kept forgetting. Breakfast the bagels were hard as a rock.

Nothing amazing and hotel was under some renovations

clean, friendly and helpful reception, the guy I spoke to over the phone the previous day about a baby crib and parking the children’s bikes inside, he was terrible and said the hotel had no place for children’s bikes and no crib for a baby. However, when we were there, the lady evening staff and the guy the next morning were both super helpful and friendly.

Room was clean, beds comfortable, hot water for showers, hot and cold breakfast food selection. Checkout was quick and front desk person was friendly. I recommend staying here. Close to freeway, restaurants, convenience stores.

Great staff, room was great, the restaurant next door was within walking distance and food was decent. Not many more food options nearby.

The first room we got to the exhaust AND fridge were not working. We told the front desk and after a bit of argument they moved us. The second room was in working order but the laminate flooring that they had laid down over the carpet was coming up. The hotel has been “updated” but it’s a poorly done job. They need serious renovations

Absolutely the worst customer experience ever. I booked a 2 night stay for my 6 year old grandson for the weekend since this property has an indoor pool. Upon arrival, I noticed that the pool was closed due to maintenance. I told the lady at the front desk that I wanted to cancel my reservation since the reason I booked the room was because I wanted to stay at a property that had a pool. The clerk was extremely rude and told me that she would not refund my money. She stated that I would not be able to find a cheaper place to stay so I shouldn’t be so petty about the pool. I informed her that at this point I needed to stay at a place with a pool for my grandson to enjoy since we were staying two days. After over an hour of waiting she still refused to refund my money or let me transfer my reservation to another property. I ended up booking staying at the Chateau since it had a nice pool AND hot tub. I have stayed at other County Inn & Suites and have never had an issue. I will never stay at this hotel again or deal with such disagreeable people.

Easy check in and check out, employees were nice and helpful, plenty of parking, room was clean and quiet.

Good people, clean, good breakfast

The staff we came into contact with were very nice and helpful. Always friendly. Our beds were comfortable. The floor in our room could have been cleaner.

Rooms are relatively inexpensive. The air conditioner worked well. The bathroom had some of the elements/fixtures coming out from the wall. There was a ceiling leak in the fitness center which made some of the equipment unusable. But the staff was very friendly and accommodating. There was a nice selection at breakfast.

I think overall the hotel is nice. The rooms esthetic has been updated so that was a plus when I entered. My bathroom sink however, the plug what basically stuck in the drain which made washing hands/faces quite difficult since the water pressure is actually good (the sink filled up fast). Also, on my first day, the breakfast items weren't refilled the entire time I was down there. And on the second day, one of the employees was in line to get food (making customers wait for her) and then took it to the back. That seemed a little odd. Especially since the breakfast area was closing in less than 30 minutes, you would think she could have waited. But the front desk staff was very warm and welcoming. All things mentioned, I would stay here again.

The bed was comfortable & I loved the space. The employees were very good! I loved the hot breakfast.
