Reviews
The hotel staff is consistently praised for their friendliness and helpfulness. However, the hotel's cleanliness and condition are major concerns, with multiple reviews mentioning dirty rooms, old facilities, and a lack of maintenance. The breakfast provided is also a common complaint, with guests finding it inadequate and misrepresented.
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Convenient location
- Poor cleanliness and maintenance
- Inadequate breakfast

Helpful staff. Quiet. Maintenance requests went unaddressed for a month. Service occurred usually on 14thday but I ended up buying my own mop and broom and did best I was able even being ill and disabled. Otherwise restful.

We use to live in Bothell and this was a fancy hotel, we chose to stay so we could be close to family. The staff was less than friendly both on the phone and at check in. It is a “no smoking” property yet marijuana is billowing in the hallways. EVERY door is locked besides the front door, seems both unsafe and possibly not ADA compliant. The property is nasty, flys at the ONLY entrance, garbage full of what appears to be weeks of dog poop and cigarettes… very disappointing for the cost of the room!!! The absolute kicker- YOU CAN’T EVEN USE THE PHONE WITHOUT BEING CHARGED! So any issue, walk to the office, ABSURD!!

Nice room convenient location

My iPhone was faster as a hotspot than the crappy WiFi. Just a bad experience overall - no dishes, no plates, no ice maker or readily available ice. Shower leaks all over the floor into the bathroom as part of some open concept bullshit. TERRIBLE. GRADE: F. SIDE NOTE: There was one late night staff member who was sick but at least he tried and looked in on what I was asking for. Nice guy. The morning people just sucked - couldn't care less. Never staying there again. Already answered. Even these questions are inefficient
- 1/5
Woke up with some type of critter inside the sheets laying next to me and started moving when I touched it. Never going back to this place again
- 4.5/5
I liked the price. I liked the staff. I liked the location. Things beyond the facilities control... noisy neighbors, shady people in the area.

We were surprised at the sparseness of the room. No coffee maker, one USB port did not work, microwave disconnected. Although these were minor inconveniences the room was just a little below expectations, despite the price. Room was clean, safe and comfortable but I could have gotten a little better quality elsewhere for a similar price.

Property sits in a great location in the middle of North lake Washington All of the second floor in the stairwell, smell like cat pee, and each room has a stank to it that just makes ya wonder.

Then I had to go and pick it up. Only one of everything in the room. If I needed anything extra I had to go and pick it up! They were awesome about extending my stay due to weather! Definitely great for that!
- 2/5
Very friendly staff but the room needed some TLC. There were stains on both chairs and the restroom wasn’t clean.
- 5/5
The room was great. Benji at the front desk went beyond making sure we were taken care of. Hotel is lucky to have him and also Brooke, she was also great.
- 1/5
Breakfast is only grab and go. Unit is not supplied with kitchen items. You have to request it when you check in and pick up later at the front desk. Only one of the burners on the stove worked. Rod for shower curtain was yanked at an angle from its original position, making the curtain sag. Hard to keep from getting water on the floor while showering. Phone on desk in room work. Requested room on top floor to lessen noise from people above but it was only available for a premium price, which we didn’t want to pay.

Great long term stay.
- 5/5
Very clean rooms great for short stay or long term. Benjain is great person who keeps things running smooth and has local information you might need. Thanks Benji
- 5/5
Awesome place. Had a great stay. The room was extremely affordable and is basically an entire studio apartment. Clean and lovely. Already have another reservation for next time I’m in town.
- 5/5
Very courteous staff. Benji was great and always checking up on us . Hotel was clean.
- 0.5/5
Horrible. Very scary people walking in the hallways. The bed was sandy. I would not recommend. I’m a leisure and travel writer and have given a very bad review. People walking around were seedy. I left and never slept there.
- 1.5/5
The room was dirty and very small The room was durty
- 2/5
Location is good Very dirty. I was in a situation where I needed a place with a fridge and kitchen. I was horrified at how dirty the room was. I bought cleaning supplies and scrubbed so much dirt and gunk (sticky gross gunk on surfaces) took me a couple hours to get it clean. Also-it smelled so bad like dog. There was gross sticky gunk under the bed and a lot of dog hair

Benjamin was excellent at taking time toxtalk with with me over concerns i had with scheduling house keeping, shortage of linen availability for bedding which took hours to get done. Benji called in Vince to help get laundry washed. I am surprised that many duties are going undone by the staff and not enough staff to cover jobs. Kudos to Benjamin and Vince.

The breakfast and staff . Bed was very comfortable The bathroom sink was plugged when using and we ended up with a handicapped room. We are not handicapped? One day when we were leaving the back door by our room we ran in to two young men smoking pot and made us uncomfortable with lewd comments

Very courteous staff and clean rooms. The only thing i do not like with this hotel group is the ESA wifi service which has 3rd party sign in. It runs slow as well and goes out quite often.
- 3/5
The room was really good, the staff was very courteous and helpful, we had an issue with the upstairs neighbors making noise until after 10 pm and then again at 4ish am, and as a smoker, I was not a fan of the fact that you could exit but couldn't re-enter the various hallway doors and had to walk around to the lobby entrance to get back to our room.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly and helpful. Rates are reasonable because the facility is old and amenities limited. No hairdryer, no conditioner. Tidy but not sparkling clean.
- 3/5
Staff was great. 1st room heater wasnt working. Second room that we were moved to, tub was not draining.
- 5/5
Front desk guy was great
- 1/5
They would not allow us to check in
- 2/5
Rooms were dirty and garbage can was full of dirty diapers.
- 5/5
Good service
- 3/5
Not up to par with other extended stays I’ve stayed in but fine for a last minute stay. Staff friendly and helpful. Could use a refurbish but comfortable enough to stay in.
- 5/5
Great place to stay. The staff were amazing.
- 2/5
I checked in and went to my room. It was filthy and not cleaned from the previous user. It seemed like the staff (very nice and helpful) didn’t know where to put me after that. I was given a “Disabled” room. It felt like a hospital room and had the most uncomfortable bed.
- 2/5
AC did not work, electrical smell from the AC. Shower water was only warm. Windows did not open very far to cool off the room when it was hot. Laminate on the counter coming off.
- 4/5
The room was good size and the beds were very comfy.
- 1/5
It was dirty. We checked into a dirty room, and so we upgraded, there were pubes all over the shower and toe nails on the floor.
- 1/5
You can’t check form 11-2 because there system updates. What a joke. Will never stay again
- 1/5
After we had a cancelled flight from Baltimore to Seattle and had to take the next flight 12 hours later we had to check in to ESA hotel around midnight. Their computer systems were down while they sent their figures to headquarters from 12 midnight til 3AM so the clerk could not check us in till 3:00 am. Asked if we could use the bathroom while we waited and was told that the only bathrooms were in the rooms. I will never stay here again even though we have before!
- 2/5
Terrible parking, signs of unhoused people, didn’t feel safe parking there. Arrives to check in, had to wait around for 10-15 minutes as worker was gone to store. No ice machines, has a kitchenette but you have to go request dishes and supplies from front desk. Not a place I want to pay that price for, nor ever start again.
- 2/5
Breakfast is very minimal and I would not call it breakfast. There is not a hair dryer, lotion, hair conditioner…it is bare minimum and felt very cheap. I will not stay here again. It did not meet my needs.
- 1/5
The room was not good. Old furnishings. Bad odor and they refuse to refund me
- 3/5
The check in guy was not friendly, obviously hates his job. The elevator is filthy and sounds very unsafe especially going up, terrible. Breakfast was lame too. No coffee on first morning until I asked. The Manager Lady, she was nice and accommodating. Will spend the extra money and stay somewhere else next visit. Just being honest, not trying to be mean.
- 2/5
Minimal food options Parking lot closed due to maintenance Staff friendly Ac worked great

Checked in late 1 AM, during night audit claimed that we were a no-show and they didn’t have a reservation for us. An hour and a half of trying to figure out where to stay, finally went back at 2:30 AM. Night audit was over and they had a room for us. Not clean, not comfortable, and oh yeah the elevator was broken.
- 2/5
Ugly, dogs all over
- 1/5
Got to the hotel to find out the elevators where out of order cool not a big problem then when I went to take a shower the water was ice cold called the front desk and was told they don’t have maintenance on the weekends nothing they can do about it so for 2 nights we had ice cold showers blankets where paper thin room only had one pillow on the bed and then to top it off I got a warning sticker put on my car window for being barley parked over the line more worried about parking then giving guest hot water was told no refunds or anything for the inconveniences bed mattresses where think and hard don’t let the pictures fool you this hotel is a hot mess
- 1/5
The room was terrible. The floors were covered in dust and hair. Not mopped at all. Then the bathroom was not cleaned, we had to do it ourselves. Also the inside of the toilet was not cleaned. It literally had poop stains still inside the toilet bowl
- 1/5
I was not able to check into my room when I showed up because of a night audit. This is not my problem. The guy at the front desk told me to come back at 3am but could not guarantee a room for me. We were exhausted. Please refund my money ASAP. We had no where to stay. This was such an inconvenience to us. We had to drive back home to Oregon in the middle of the night with my son.
- 4/5
pretty good room and area but staff don't have a service mind but that's fine overall is good
- 1/5
Honestly maybe the worst hotel experience i've ever had! Avoid this place at all costs!
- 2/5
Elevator was not working, had to haul our luggage up 4 flights of stairs. AC in room not great. This place is tired.
- 2/5
Went for a Festival and stayed one night. The check in was slow, there was no coffee maker in room, no hair dryer in room, no ice machine available, we were on the 4th floor and the elevators went out so we had to hump our bags up and down 4 floors. ARGH!! Very unhappy and no pleased with the facility. And the breakfast, a muffin and granola bar? WEAK! La Quinta had eggs, sausage and potatoes. I guess we know where to stay from now on.
- 1/5
I arrived shortly after midnight after a 18 1/2 hour drive. I was told that despite my reservation I or nobody else could check in until 3:00 AM because their system was auditing and computer systems would not permit guest check in. Staff admitted this information is not shared with guest or on their website prior to confirmation. Was offered to sit in 1 of 2 lobby chairs (all they had) or relax in my car until system completed almost 3 hours later. There was no manager to help, and I still had no place to stay at least until after 3 AM. I watched another customer come in with her child told the same thing and watched her angrily storm out. Was forced to find other hotel accommodations close by where I stayed. Just received an email from Expedia informing this property is refusing to return my money for the stay. For me, the name.EXTENDED STAY means a short part of your stay will be in the lobby or in your vehicle if you arrive after 12:00 AM (system audits every night at midnight) DO NOT STAY HERE, unless you bring sleeping bags. Parents with tired kids GOOD LUCK. I will NEVER be a guest here. I would say “again” but I was never had an opportunity to be a guest in the first place.
- 3/5
Under construction during visit. Unrelated, the elevator didn’t actually leave the floor after attempting to close it’s door,8 out of 10 times; making flights of stairs to the 4 Th floor a daily (multiple times per day) practice. Workout Bonus when staying here. Select ground floor, if desiring to avoid elevators.
- 1/5
There was trash bags everywhere. The trash room stunk and the door was open always. I have used hotels.com for years and years and this is the most awful hotel and I am disappointed I put my family there for the nights they were in town.
- 2/5
Front desk rep was great. Unfortunately the room was the opposite. Floors were “hardwood flooring” which is nice vs carpet. But they were dirty and sticky, the night stand was not wiped down, no toilet paper, bathroom sink was leaking, kitchen sick could have used a wipe down and fridge as well. Would not recommend.
- 2/5
It’s just a strange place, like your staying at a mental hospital. If you’re staying by yourself for work it’s not terrible. If you are with the fam wanting a nice stay with nice amenities, this is not the place.
- 2/5
The units were under renovation and it was loud with banging and pounding till after 10 pm
- 3/5
Check in was very slow. The person checking me in held my friend and I at the desk for 10-15 minutes telling us random stories before finally giving us our key. He also told us that there would be an extra $10 fee because they overbooked the hotel and had to move us to a newer room. The room had trim that was missing and didn’t seem like it was complete. Luckily, at check out, I explained this to a different clerk. She refunded me for $10 and apologized. I didn’t want to be held responsible for missing trim. I don’t know if I’d stay at this hotel again.
- 1/5
Long check in process, strange people just hanging out in parking lot, dirty shower with poor water pressure and moldy bathroom sink smell. Uncomfortable bed and no decor made it feel like an institution.
- 4/5
Convenient location. Restaurants nearby. Affordable. 4 stars
- 2/5
Room was really dirty and dusty. I have never stayed in an extended stay where there was no dishes no hairdryers no nothing in the room. If you wanted any of those kinds of items you had to go to the front desk and say I want a coffee pot I want a coffee cup I want a plate I want toaster etc
- 2/5
This was the worst place for cleanliness I've ever stayed in. We made the mistake of looking under the bed and there were two pairs of shoes, clothes, garbage and dog toys under there. The cabinets had crumbs all over in them, the refrigerator had lettuce and other greens still in the drawer. There was a pair of underwear stuffed in behind the dresser drawers(we had to remove one when we thought something had fallen behind there) and the floors were filthy(unswept).
- 4/5
After numerous flight delays, we found herself needing a hotel. I booked this the night before. It served its purpose, but the room was pretty basic not that I expected much more however, being said it was an extended stay with a fridge and a cooktop. We had a few Donald Trump items that need to go back in the fridge and in a the freezer until we further our way home the next day. The freezer didn't work at all nothing was frozen in the morning, slso there's no hairdryer in the room, after flying and being in an airport for over 12 hours having a shower was a much needed treat only fine the basics of a hair dryer was not there. As far as staying there for a night, putting your head on a pillow that was awesome. If I wanted to do an extended stay, I definitely wouldn't have stayed here. I did not feel it was somewhere I would want to stay for any amount of time another thing I will comment is thankfully I do carry a proper extra lock for the doors, but our door Lock was still bent. It was hard to put in place making it not feel as safe as it could've been if I didn't have my extra lock.
- 2/5
Staff was very nice. The bed wasn't very comfortable. The floor in the room was dirty like it hadn't been cleaned. The tv didn't work. Half of the lights in the room didn't work. Asked if I could get a different room and they said they don't have any empty rooms. The fridge was loud. The room was right next to the elevator and I had to listen to it going up and down all night which wouldn't have been that big of a deal if I would have had a tv that worked to drown out some of the noise
- 5/5
once again the staff was great. they are very patient and willing to help when my end had issues. thank you brooke for being chill when everything is hectic and for your kindness. i appreciate the customer service weather evening or mourning its outstanding. 20 stars
- 5/5
Benjamin did a great job and was very helpful!
- 5/5
I really appreciate the staff and hospitality. Ask for Benji if you need anything. Hes awsome. Everyone else is too,,he just went out of his way for me. 20 stars
- 5/5
Made me feel welcome which for me is rare so it was really appreciated.
- 5/5
My stay was excellent, and I’d especially like to highlight Benji at the front desk. Their compassion and genuine empathy for people from all walks of life truly stood out in every interaction. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and will absolutely return in the future.

Excellent property - clean, well maintained and fairly new. Excellent location for local travel.

The room add the floor could be cleaned much better.
- 1/5
Was NOT very quiet! To noise, no tv and was really dirty. I will not be staying here again!!!
- 1/5
Wet carpet, sticky floor, smelled like cat pee
- 3/5
The room didn't have any dishes despite having a kitchen. Not even cups for water aside from 1 flimsy plastic one in the bathroom. Breakfast was just some packaged muffins and coffee creamer was only the sweetened kind (what about people who can't have sugar??). The hotel itself is ok. Not bad. Not good. Stayed before and had a nicer and cleaner room, so maybe this was just bad luck with rooms in that it wasn't as clean as I might like but definitely have seen worse. I will probably stay at the other location next time (it isn't very far away).
- 4/5
Exceptionally clean and safe feeling
- 4/5
Bree and Vincent are exceptionally professional and made our stay seem like a Welcome home away from home
- 3/5
They do not service breakfast. The type of breakfast is coffee and muffin to go. There kitchenette is not what you see in the picture. Under there bed is dirty and their cleaners need to learn how to clean around. There not enough space for 4 people for two bed in a room. So don’t let the picture fool you!! They people who smokes not cigarettes and it stinks out to the hallway. I just think they need someone to walk through there aisle when not busy at the front.
- 3/5
The room was ok and provided accommodations needed. Nothing special. TV buffered often couldn't watch a football game. Very limited channels. Breakfast was a joke.
- 5/5
Awesome stay
- 4/5
Specifically, Bree and Vincent, who ste exceptionally incredible at their jobs
- 1/5
Walked into the room and it was soaked and smelled like an old shoe. COULD NOT STAY HERE. Nice staff contacted the property manager who was upset because I "ruined her dinner."
- 5/5
Everyone is super friendly and the area has everything you need for quick things or stuff needed! The beds are comfy too
- 1/5
The room was very dirty, including the kitchen. It was loud. Odorous. Hard to get someone at the front desk to respond. I was so disappointed to offer this to my family. I wanted to be proud of what I provided. My brother had to move out of his room because of the stench. The offered breakfast was totally inadequate. We stayed away from the hotel as much as possible.
- 2/5
multi times our room key card did not work! Very annoying when you have to go back the lobby for help getting in.
- 1/5
Less than zero stars. This hotel will give your room away to someone else even though you have a confirmed reservation and prepaid for the room. The employee at the front desk was extremely rude, unhelpful, walked away from the front desk and hid somewhere, and refused to help us. She told us the hotel over books all the time to make sure they are full. Don’t let this happen to you!!!
- 1/5
I know it's are allowed, we brought it I've dug, but there was dog hair EVERYWHERE. It had not been vacuumed. Dog hair all over the sheets. If it had been properly cleaned then someone left a dog in there for a while afterwards.
- 2/5
The room smelled like animals had lived there and the hallway smelled on urine.
- 1/5
staff was nice all time but room condition and smell was very bad
- 3/5
Building has some wear and tear. Old, worn carpets. Breakfast is coffee and a plastic-wrapped muffin (no cream, just coffee mate in a pump dispenser). Friendly staff. A fine place to overnight. Comfy bed and no road noise. But, imo overpriced for what you get.
- 1/5
Shower dribble on full,no hot water. Elevator broken.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly, room was clean and had a little kitchen. Felt safe coming and going and parking. Was easy access to restaurants and the freeway with out the noise.
- 2/5
They said they have breakfast but they dont it was a protein bar and a mini muffin, elevator didnt work and alot of smoke smell
- 2/5
The bed was very uncomfortable.
- 2/5
The hallway that my room was on, smelled like cat urine the entire time I was staying there. There was no room services or cleaning. In the morning, the breakfast consisted of questionable coffee and cheap packaged muffins. Very disappointing for the amount of money charged.
- 4/5
Rooms were old
- 3/5
When we first got to the room, we had several items to put in the fridge.... including ice cream. We noticed the fridge was warm. Tried turning the control knob to coldest setting. It appeared fridge did not work. We notified the clerk and she came to the home to have a look. Then, strangely, she asked us to leave the room while she checked out the situation. When she came out she told us that it was unplugged and that she plugged it in. That certainly did not help the situation with the ice cream that would now melt if we did not eat it all immediately. In the morning, while we were leaving, I thoroughly checked the room for anything we may have left behind like I always do and noticed several pieces of dried food under the bed which must have been there quite a while. Apparently, the room staff is not instructed to clean under beds. The rest of the room was acceptable even though the carpet had a few stains but it smelled OK. Quiet area and we slept well. Reason for bad review was for not giving us any compensation for the issues that we had to endure. Will not be staying there again.
- 3/5
gettng old
- 1/5
Rude staff at check in, dirty room, ridiculous limited breakfast, had to see desk clerk to get plates, cutlery and kitchen dish towels, no coffee maker until after first night there. Will never stay in this hotel chain again.
- 3/5
I think the property is old and outdated. Odd smell in room possibly form smoking. I arrived at the property late approx 11:30 p.m. but I could not check in until after 0030 due to computer update.
- 2/5
Nothing!
- 4/5
“Breakfast included” is a bit misleading. It was coffee, tea, prepackaged muffins & cereal bars.
- 3/5
Room hit us with a musty smell when we walked in. My feet got dirty walking around so I wipe the kitchen area floor with paper towels and they got filthy. I kept socks on in the room, and they got dirty too. Instructions were to call front desk to tell them what kitchen supplies we needed and they would bring to the room (i.e. dishes, flatware, cooking utensils, etc.) but phone didn't work. Not even dialtone, and when went to front desk to ask for what we needed I told reception the phone didn't work, and got a shrug. Also that room was really musty, another shrug. We could open windows part way which we did for a couple of hours, but didn't help. We kept the fan on even when we were out,, and when we left 5 days later might have been a bit better...or we were used to it. Would never recommend. It must be one of the older ones in this chain..
- 5/5
Full kitchens everything was clean and as advertised. No surprise
- 1/5
i checked in and the staff said the olnly available room stinks . this was a check in at 9:30 pm, i was tired and eager to retireddront desk clerk finally gave me another room, aircon was noisy, room looked but doesnt feel clean.
- 1/5
I’ve never stayed at a hotel that was so poorly run. Limited staff. Sketchy people around the property. The room was basic. AC was so loud you couldn’t sleep through it. Room had a kitchenette with no utensils, pans or plates to use. The bathtub was not cleaned well. The so called grab and go breakfast was a joke.. I went down at 8:00 AM and the was nothing left except coffee. Very disappointed with the price I paid vs the value. I will never stay at an Extended Stay again. Not sure I will use Hotels.com either in the future as I’ve had no response about my complaint.
- 5/5
Very quiet.
- 5/5
Simple and comfortable. Would stay there again!
