Legacy Hotel at IMG Academy

I made reception aware and advised the lady at check out but she simply wrote a note but didn’t even acknowledge what I had said! I was charged $30 a day as a ‘Resort’ apparently for self parking, WIFI and the pool? Really??? I will not be back!!!!!

My room wasn't very clean, there was hair in the bathroom floor, toilet and shower. Maids forgot everyday to refill coffee creamer and give towels. Pool cabana was dirty with ants. Other than that the stay was nice and would rebook or stay.

Unfortunately, this was not a pleasant stay for us. The bathroom was not in good condition, and the TV was not working during our visit. The front desk staff were very kind and genuinely tried to help by finding us another room, but unfortunately they were unable to accommodate the change. We appreciate their effort and customer service, but overall this was the hotel where we felt the least comfortable and where we wanted to spend the least amount of time. We hope these issues can be addressed for future guests.

Staff was very helpful and professional. Room was clean. Swimming pool at the facility was a joy to swim in…large and just the right temperature for a good workout. Lunch salad was enormous and delicious. Thanks!

Lovely hotel , terrible gym and very unhealthy food at the restaurant.

The breakfast was not hot enough. We paid $18 for 1 small pancake & 2 bacon strips.. We sat by the pool to have coffee in the morning and observed two ducks bathing in it. I would stay here again.

Very spacious, clean, love that two rooms had two beds each in the three bedrooms villa. The ceiling started leaking from the above villa, the faucet was loose in one of the bathroom and one of the rooms the rack for the closet was broken.

The refrigerator was not working either. The toilet seat handle was broken, along with the self in the shower was hanging on by literally a thread. There was what seems to be rust or mold on the railing of the door in the restroom. Lastly when checking out I got charged $40.00 for breakfast (was not told when I got there it was not included in the $300.00) I already paid for one night. I would have understood $40 if the whole breakfast was available but the moment we got down there was no waffles no pancakes barely any sausage my mother an I asked if there was another batch coming out an they told us there is no more and where not making any. Overall I will not be staying there again.

Beautiful facility exactly like in the pictures. The staff were amazing parking was convenient. The breakfast was a little underwhelming, but everything else was fantastic. I would just get breakfast and go somewhere local. There’s so many great places nearby.

No microwaves in rooms, ice maker on floor was broken

They seem to be short staffed (on transport and hotel restaurant). Hotel also has problems with “HVAC noise”. Request for room change not uncommon. This last trip my room was perfect!

Everything was great. I just didn’t understand why we would have to pay for breakfast. Breakfast was only for people that was part of the IMG Academy sports training. Not for regular guests.

The staff here was the most hospitable I have met in my worldly travels! Chris, the night desk clerk, was so nice and friendly! Beautiful property and very clean!

My first experience with this hotel was OK. Having to deal with repairs at my house so I stayed a few nights. First night, fine and dandy. A little obnoxious that this hotel is overrun with teenagers but I can excuse it if everything else is right. Breakfast was disappointing and kind of disgusting. Surprised it wasn’t included with the room. My second and third night I’m in a different room and here’s where the experience takes a turn for the worst. The room is filthy. Just filthy and in terrible condition. I have to squish a silverfish within my first minute in the room. There’s a pair of someone’s literal used false eyelashes on the bed. Someone’s contact lazily thrown out is stuck to the bathroom wall. The air conditioner barely keeps the temperature below 72 degrees (in fl this is a NO.) When I take a shower I realize the silverfish are coming from a massive gap in the wall. I don’t see how they don’t fix these huge gaps in the baseboards and the wall. It’s actually disgusting, you’d think this hotel would be finished out. Mediocre everything. To top it off, every single day I was woken up before 10:30 am (checkout is at 12) by their staff, demanding to know when I was checking out. Ummm. Idk, maybe at CHECKOUT TIME?! it’s embarrassing to go through every morning, to the point where I feel apologetic for staying in my room that extra hour. I get that they need to turn down rooms but I had a do not disturb sign up, and checkout had not passed. Terribly run property. 1/10

Everything was great, we stayed at the Villas, a few minors details like not enough towels, bags for garbage, but that was it. The Villa was big for 6 guest, security to enter was awesome.

I’ve stayed at this hotel before. My daughter studies at IMG, so it’s very convenient—close by and it has everything. I highly recommend it.

The breakfast I believe should be complimentary to all athletes competing at the academy. Coaches should at least be giving a half price voucher. Some of the morning service staff are not very pleasant also. Maybe with some positive changes as mentioned above will lesson confusion and help the staff have a more pleasant attitude towards athletes and coaches or guests period.

We were tired when we got in but everything was very clean

The price of legacy is a resort price. but there is not enough pool chairs, they didn't light the firepits last night because the propane was out, the towels in the room are very thin and cheap. the restaurant is nice and convenient but closes at 10pm. and the hotel is isolated on the IMG campus, so you couldn't close the restaurant so early. they have a captive audience of teams coming to play in tournaments. but the hotel really should be so much nicer for the price

The pool is big and the grounds have some fun things like ping pong tables. The gym is nothing special considering the venue.

The staff was wonderful, but the property itself gives Holiday Inn Express—the towels were old and fraying (in the room and by the pool), the bathroom had mildew along all the caulking and the air conditioner rattled like a 1997 Dodge Neon. It was convenient and fine if you want proximity to fields, and, again, the staff are all incredible, but the facility itself is in need of some TLC.

The staff was amazing, especially the front desk. This hotel has the chance to be amazing and live up to the IMG reputation. It's contemporary, minimalist style is on point, but execution on some things needs attention. For a spot which caters to athletes ... OMGoodness, tiny towels and just two of them (for two people). If you are going to have such small towels, you need to load up the room with them ... LOL. The wire and power plugs running from the wall inside a corner, in front of the air handler closet, then to the desk (but not fitting the phone properly) was tacky and poor execution of room layout or installation of electrical/comms. Speaking of ...neither of the outlets on either side of the bed worked. Yes, the master switch was on ... the outlets were, in fact, broken. That is a big no-go in this day and age. Got to have working USB outlets.

The room needs a lot of attention. The ceiling paint was coming off and there is evident water damage in the ceilings. The carpet was wet by the AC. Paying so much for a room did not justify the quality we thought we would experience. The Frint Desk staff and valet were fantastic - greeted us warmly and showed great customer service. The dining team needs some customer service training. They looked unhappy and were very short and rude with us daily. One woman kept walking to our table making sure each person was accounted for breakfast and dropped our check before we even started our meal. A team member was charged $18 formujmy eating a banana. It just felt cold and welcoming. The grounds for the tournament were beautiful. An amazing experience for so many athletes, but an unfortunate disappointment that we were just treated like a number and not a guest for the amount of money it cost to stay there.

Had a great comfortable stay at Legacy hotel while my son got settled in at IMG. The hotel was clean, comfortable and had great views and amenities. I plan to stay at Legacy hotel each time I visit my son at IMG. It is so close to the campus and shopping. I would definitely recommend other parents to stay at legacy as well.

Room carpets. I do not think they were ever vacuumed in all days we were there. Small pieces of paper from our first or second day, were there 3 days later. But, most notoriously, the room smell like sweaty feet, midly, but still. If they have so many athletes around with sweaty shoes, socks and feet, they need to do a better job to vacuum the carpet and avoid keeping all those odors there.

My only little “oops” is that it would be nice if the clerk that checked us in made it a point to remind us concerning the 25% off a meal at the restaurant, we didn’t see it until we checked out. We also enjoy dining at the restaurant.

It is difficult to get the bill at the end of your stay emailed to you, but the stay and property was really nice. The young waitress was absolutely amazing with impeccable customer service. Loved the atmosphere and the beds are really spacious and not like other hotels that claim they gave you a queen and it looks like a double. I just wished room service gave the room a proper cleaning while we were there at least once or twice for the 8 nights we stayed and not just straightening up the room.

300 a night plus a $25.00 a night destination fee. Convenience for sports activities at the property doesn’t outweigh the cleanliness of the rooms. I went to set the alarm clock and I had to wash my hands three times because it’s sticky with some kind of goo all over it. Paper in the corner of the bathroom upon check in. Toilet not flushing how do you call the maintenance. Ordered from the grill, medium old burger and it was very dry and over cooked. Just not a good experience

The location was awesome. We stayed in the Villas. For the price I truly expect more. The villa was huge but a lot of old and outdated furniture and appliances. The floors were worn down, Tiles cracked, the walls was nasty (like a little kid blew his nose on the wall)! I informed the staff but it was just an ok. Nothing else. The front porch and back porch had big wasp nests over the doors.

While the property isn’t brand new, the core essentials are solid. I would love to see improvements in room cleanliness—some fixtures and finishes showed wear, and more attention here would elevate the overall experience. Still, given the options in the area, this hotel provides the best balance of convenience and value. I look forward to returning.

Be prepared for your final bill to be much higher than anticipated.

For anyone attending IMG, this is the only place to stay. It is the equivalent of a Holiday in express with the exception of the bar and restaurant. The staff there are exceptional and the food is first rate.

This property has so much promise! The check in experience was easy. They upgraded our family to a 4 bedroom villa instead of the 3 bedroom we had booked, which was so nice! Lots of space. The villa is in a little cul de sac across from the actual hotel. The pool is in the hotel proper. The villa is huge, like a mansion home. The space and amount of bedrooms and square footage was wild. However, the house is a little beat up. The carpets were stained and lifting, especially the liners on the stairs leading up to the main house. Not the best first impression. The house was clean-ish. Kitchen was big, but missing a lot of basics like even a cookie sheet if you wanted to use the oven. The housekeepers did not replenish any soaps or dishwasher tabs, laundry soap, not coffee. We had to call and ask if we needed anything, though they did bring it. Beds were comfy. No extra pillows or blankets anywhere, nor even one hanger in any of the big closets. The pool was nice, though no hottub and when we tried to go on the weekend with our kids, it was full of young athletes who were very rambunctious and screaming and roughhousing. Sort of felt like we were at a frat party with no supervision; not idea for a family/young kids. Overall, it was nice! Just wish they’d do a few small things for comfort for longer stays like ours.

I stay here all the time and am disgusted each time by the lack of cleanliness and upkeep in rooms. It’s actually a motel at a nice school. The food is unhealthy and not cooked properly. The front desk is never theee you have to wait for them to come out. The internet and tvs barely work and it’s totally overpriced. Complete dump of a place.

Our king bedroom was very spacious and well set up. Bed was comfortable. Wasn't especially fond of the air conditioning setup....the fan was always running...needed to shut unit completely off. Also I had dropped something on the laminate flooring and when I wiped it up from the floor, I could see that the flooring hadn't been washed in a while. Breakfast buffet wasn't included and was $18 per person.

We had a soccer game at the IMG Academy early in the morning, and staying at their Hotel was a great experience.

The staff was kind. Thay took me in a cart to wherever I wanted to go within IMG Academy.

The breakfast was mediocre, it was not warm. Except for a pancake that I had the rest of it was on the cool side , the eggs , the sausage cold. I will never understand serving ice cold butter you can't spread it on a pancake or a waffle it's ridiculous.

The Villas haven’t been updated since the 90’s. Half of the rooms’ spectrum cable boxes didn’t work. The master suite had 2 double beds on different walls, which was awkward for my wife and I, and the king bed was in a smaller room for the kids. Giant closet in master suite, no hangers, room keys kept malfunctioning as did the QR code to access the area. Lots of weird decor mismatched from little fixes over the years. Overall just neglected over the years. Not worth the price

We had a reservation for the 3 bedroom villas. The first unit we were assigned had a broken bed. We noticed a slump in the middle and removed the mattress only to find broken slats and a spare tire that was attempting to hold the mattress up. We called maintenance the night we arrived and had to follow up the next day at the front desk to arrive. The unit also had a strong odor which I believed to be mold or mildew. The front desk and maintenance leader were very helpful and graciously assigned us to another unit. The unit had functioning beds and no smell but it was really beat up and not up to the standards I’d expect for $500 per night rate. Luckily we only had a 2 night reservation. The main hotel seemed nice but I definitely wouldn’t recommend a reservation at the villas.

Disappointed. It has all the trappings of a lovely hotel, with 0 follow through. The $18 breakfast was no better than most continental breakfasts, we had 0 extra towels, 0 extra blankets, had to call multiple times and finally go down to the front desk for that, 0 water pressure which they knew was an issue, there was a flashing light in the room all night. Bed was comfy.z

Rooms were not very well insulated from outside and hallway noise. Overall rooms were clean however shower curtain had evidence of mold, and curtain closing device had fallen off prior to arrival.

The property is very nice, the $18 breakfast was ok. If you wanted to have a machine cappuccino it was extra which it shouldn’t be. They supplied me with non gluten bread when I requested it which is good. The room was lovely except for the Motel 6 towels which if it was my hotel, I would be embarrassed to offer guests paying over $260 for the night including a $20 resort fee. Normally I would have stayed at the Best Western because of what they offer for the price but because of Milton it was booked out.

We were at Legacy due to the hurricane Helene. We were working on our family home. Everyone we met there was kind and gracious. All amenities were amazing. The food and drinks were great too.

Stayed for a local wedding with family and friends. Staff went above and beyond. Maybe the wedding less stressful having a consistent spot to recharge and meet up. Delicious food, wonderful pool and thoughtful staff.

Molly was exceptional!

Spotlessly clean, warm and friendly atmosphere. Pool was sparkling and grounds were impeccable. The restaurant on the property was very good, and we enjoyed Patrick’s care of us! Need more electric plugs in the room though. My husband and I both have CPAP’s and lucky we brought our own extension cords. That’s a very small complaint (not even a complaint; just a suggestion) Wonderful stay!

I love the cleaning staff!!! Very helpful and very polite. The front desk however was average. My arrival was to one person on her phone laughing and scrolling, the other, the one who checked me in, I believe would rather have been dead. Same person who checked me out. I asked for a printed receipt, and she tried convincing me that she would have to walk to the printer to get it. I had to ask for it twice.
