Flagship Inn

My husband stayed here while he attended a work conference. Similar to other reviews he said the property is definitely dated but everything was clean and comfortable. He also loved the balcony in his room and the view. He said the staff were helpful. The breakfast was continental…mostly pastries so he ate elsewhere. For a reasonable, no frills but nice view spot he said he would definitely stay again.

Just come for the view and location.

We ended up at the flagship after a different hotel we were at had mold covered bathrooms. We were skeptical but pleasantly surprised! The staff was very friendly, the view was beautiful, the bed was so comfortable, and the location is easy to find and surrounded by a lot of stores and restaurants. We didn’t try the breakfast, so I can’t speak to that, but there are freshly baked chocolate chip cookies put out every evening that are delicious!

This is what all hotels should strive to emulate- professional staff, immaculate rooms, fantastic view, reasonable cost. Just an exceptional experience all together. So glad we found it and would hope to return.

Older hotel beautifully maintained! A view to die for. Wanted to stay in the room all day it was that beautiful! Had every thing you could ask for and more. Room service every day; new towels, soap, shampoo, bed made, trash emptied, etc. every day. Sheets changed after the second night! Will definitely book again. Best hotel I have stayed in in years!

parking seemed adequate. we did not take advantage of the breakfast, but it looked appropriate. the room was clean, as were all the amenities inside the room. but truly the best thing is the view from the room!

Though dated the property has an aged charm and furnishings that reminds us baby boomers of our youth. Everything like the faucets, outlets, lighting doors etc., but not the hair dryer, works in the unit, which you usually only find in the Hilton set of hotels and up. It has sufficient electrical outlets for your devices, the water is immediately hot, the plumbing works great, the temps are comfortable and the unit was maintained and clean. The staff are experienced and very friendly. The balcony and view of the inlet is a plus. It isn't too far from Seattle if you take the ferry which is a very simple proposition. It is a good place to situate yourself if you want reasonably close access to the northern reaches of the state. We would definitely stay there again.

Basic hotel, nice view older but nice owner is very friendly very basic breakfast we would stay again.

Great property if you enjoy a great view of Oyster Bay, The best shower pressure I've ever experienced with a bit of nostalgia thrown in. Don't let the original MOTEL sign scare you, it's part of the charm. Breakfast is very adequate and the staff are great. I would recommend this Inn/Motel/Hotel to a family member. Request the 3rd floor if available, the view will knock your socks off!

This is an older hotel. That being said, it is a very well maintained hotel. Beds were comfortable. Furniture was comfortable. I enjoyed the balcony overlooking the water. I will definitely stay here next time I stay in Bremerton.

The staff is always nice, rooms clean, and always quiet at night. The view of Oyster Bay is beautiful, with mini balcony for each room. Anytime we stay in Bremerton,.this is our go to place.

Superb view of the water from room.

The view is as lovely as it looks in the pictures. Honestly, when we drove up I thought I might have made a mistake booking here - but the people were friendly and quick. They have fruit in a bowl and several different teas (not just black tea) all day long. We would definitely book here again if we are in the area again.

Sure the place is on the older end but solid price, cozy room, and really nice view from the balcony! Personally it worked perfectly since it made the drive to Olympic Natl Park shorter while still not being too far from Seattle. Nice staff who were fortunately able to check us in at 1:30AM after our flight got delayed two hours :) Overall cozy inn for a very reasonable price, would stay again!

The only complaint I have is the mediocre breakfast and subpar coffee, but I understand this standard is generally viewed as acceptable in hotels. Perhaps there could be an easy improvement by introducing a Keurig cup machine? It would probably be less labor for the staff, actually.

Phenomenal view! Clean older motel, AC/heat, micro, cold mini fridge, coffee maker, fast and plenty hot water, plenty of good shower pressure, comfy bed and pillows. I loved it!

Love this place with a balcony overlooking the bay. Clean, comfortable, just enough breakfast to get you going, good amenities. Will be back.

This staff is awesome, they are all so friendly and kind! My room was clean and cozy with a killer view of the water. There are restaurants and grocery stores right around the corner. I give it an 8 only because it could use renovations.

Really the best place to stay in Bremerton. A little worn, a little funky, but decent size, quiet, and the view can’t be beat.

Excellent furniture, bed, pillows (choice of firm and squishy), plush new carpet, real glasses and cups, nice towels and shower head, sweet balcony, perfect view, all in a quaint older building.

Clean overall .. we expected a nice view because of the reviews but my gosh it was better than we imagined! Loved everything about this place, staff was very kind as well.

Great view, staff was courteous, and the unit--minus a large mold/stain spot on the ceiling (#304)--seemed clean. Need to work on the cigarette smoking though. Although they have no smoking signs on the balconies guests don't seem to obey, and the fumes come right through the mini-splits upstairs. And one of the staff was smoking out front with the door open so the entire hallway smelled of smoke. As a former 24-year smoker, kind of tough to be in that environment.

Great inexpensive place to stay while traveling. EXTREMELY clean, good mattress and pillows, wonderful water view with a balcony and chairs, charming gentleman who checked me in, good coffee with real 1/2 and 1/2 and hard boiled eggs for breakfast, amazing water pressure, free parking, many outlets on bedside for your electronics, quiet & a landline phone in the bathroom (HA!). This hotel is well loved and I was a bit hesitant at first appearance. Not for everyone, but I thought it to be very cost effective and I would stay here again!

Extremely clean, which is even more impressive considering this is an older place. Felt very comfortable! And my wife cleans professionally so she notices anything and she was very pleased. Water pressure for the shower was the best I've ever experienced in a hotel! My one complaint is that the tub didn't drain fast enough for the water coming out of the shower so you were in a couple inches of water when the shower was done. If we ever stay in Bremerton again we are definitely going here! Very pleased.

I am writing regarding my reservation at the Flagship Motel. The location of the motel was significantly farther from the work area than represented, and essential services such as food and shipping were extremely limited without transportation. Due to these conditions, the reservation was not practical or usable for our needs. We purchased cancellation insurance specifically to protect against situations like this. However, Expedia refused to allow us to cancel the reservation online and instead directed us to the insurance provider. The insurance company then required us to answer unreasonable questions and submit unnecessary evidence simply to justify the cancellation. This process has been burdensome and unfair, especially given that the circumstances clearly made the stay unsuitable. I am requesting that the reservation be canceled and refunded in accordance with the insurance coverage purchased and the circumstances described. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

We love the Flagship. Brother Don's a few doors down with live music is always a good time. We stay and golf in the area. Trophy Lake, Gold Mountain and Mccormick Woods are great tracks near by.

This is a family owned business doing an excellent job. Check-in was easy and quick, and the price was reasonable. Every room has a beautiful water view. My room was so comfortable and exceptionally clean. Furnishings were top notch. I was appreciative of the drapery that was one piece, so didn't have that annoying area in the middle that doesn't completly close. Definitely would stay here again.

Excellent place! Definitely hasn't been updated since the late 80s, but what it does have is clean and functional! Absolutely can't beat the price!

The few from the room is incredible. Even in the rain and fog. Will come back and hope to enjoy again. Rooms are clean, quiet, and comfortable. It reminds me of a high end room from 50-60 years ago. All the materials seem new, just a old comfortable style. Much better for us than a run of the mill Marrott or Hilton.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Flag Ship Inn. The price was very fair. The decorative style of the hotel is dated but it was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was “continental”, no omelettes and bacon but the fruit and pastries were fresh. Coffee was hot and plentiful, juice and tea were available. The staff was great, a business center was available, my room was cleaned well daily, and there were affordable washers and dryers. I didn’t use the exercise equipment or pool.

The street isn't super nice, but the inn itself is super charming. Well-maintained and a little old-fashioned. You wouldn't know it from the front, but every room has a balcony with a lovely view of a lake. Fun retro VHS collection with VHS player in the room. We really enjoyed our stay here and hope to return!

Very retro looking from the outside, but inside it was very modern and comfortable. Every room has a view, the bed was comfortable, and the room was very clean. The staff was exceptional, and home made cookies were made available in the evening. VHS movies were available for viewing, but there were many channels on the tv to watch, we didn't have a chance to watch any. A very nice stay here, we will be back. Recommend!

The building itself has been there a long time, it's an old-school motel from the glory days of the American "motor inn," I honestly wouldnt have booked if not for the other glowing reviews, but they're very correct! The good: The view!! It's fantastic. the building is horseshoe shaped, so every room has the one, right over the water of Oyster Bay. All else is the good side of what you'd expect for a two-star property. Rooms are QUIET. Water pressure and heat VERY good. Great service - friendly staff dressed in shirt and tie, old-school welcoming to the living-room like lobby, with coffee, fruit, newspapers, and, yes, VHS cassettes. Rooms are old and never updated, but even if the table and bureau might be older than I am, but since it's clean, linens are newer and fine, it feels charming rather than ugh The bad, such as it is: kinda drafty, owing to the big glass for that amazing view. Heater / AC noisy and had to work pretty hard on account of being small. Poly blankets. Nothing dealbreaker, least of all for the price. Actual glass for water, ceramic coffee mugs and a Mr Coffe, none of those awful "one cup" cushions or pods, quality toiletries. Breafast was cold foods only, but good selection of pastries like danishes, cinammon rolls, muffins. I'll take that over powdered eggs! All in all, look forward to returning and recommending to others!

All aspects of my stay were outstanding; it's spotless, quiet, and super friendly - and the room rate is worth every penny. I stayed here 22 years ago, and nothing has changed - everything was consistent with that delightful visit. This is a gem of a place, and I told the staff that it was like (actually better than!) staying with family. I plan to visit about every 6 months now, and I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.

This was our first time staying at the Flagship Inn. We will definitely be staying again. It was much less expensive than other options and was a wonderful experience. You feel like you have stepped back in time. It was clean, cozy and just overall relaxing! The staff were friendly and extremely professional. It was just a overall pleasant stay!

This hotel is definitely older, but is very well maintained, clean and extremely comfortable. The front desk check-in lady was so helpful, spelled everything out very clearly and pleasantly. The balcony is wonderful. Breakfast was surprisingly plentiful and good for such a tiny space. I will definitely stay here again when I come to visit my grandchildren.

OLD but nice view

The rooms were clean. Beds were comfy. The staff was friendly. Not sure I would rate over 4 stars like many did but good stay for the price on our way to Olympic National Park.

We enjoyed our stay at the inn. The view was beautiful. The staff at the hotel were all friendly and kind. The bed was comfortable. We appreciated the charging ports being on the nightstands and easily accessible. The continental breakfast the inn provides is sufficient and varied enough to start the day…fruit, cereals, hard boiled eggs, pastries, and bagels. The coffee was good with tea and juice also provided.

We LOVED the balcony and view. We were TOTALLY impressed with the employees - all were attentive, polite, helpful, and NICE! Great bed - just the right firmness. Pillows need an upgrade. Breakfast was fine. Location really suited our needs. We stayed in a different hotel at the end of our trip and kept saying we wished it were more like the Flagship Inn!

Nice balcony overlooking a small bay. Very cushy plush carpets. Lots of flat surfaces to put things on near the sink outside the water closet and shower room. Great water pressure and hot water! The continental breakfast was better than we got at a more expensive hotel we stayed at a few days later! They have laundry facilities available which they have plans to update soon. The AC and Heater unit worked!

Classic hotel that might remind you of the Hollywood Roosevelt in the 80s. A time capsule with all the pros and cons that come with that comment. Next to brother Don’s, a very local bar with live music. Good views from all rooms.

Cozy and comfortable with beautiful views and a great heated pool

Excellent!! Very comfortable beds/pillows, new plush carpet and a gorgeous water view off the deck. The property is a bit dated but still one of our favorite stops on our trip.

The overall impression is of stepping back 50 years into the 1970s in terms of esthetics. Everything works well, the cleanliness is immaculate, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The hallways get a little getting used to as they are built of cinder block and resemble a naval training barracks (first floor gets a softer touch with artificial plants, but the second floor hallway is stark). Beyond that, however, the rooms are spacious, very clean, well-appointed, with comfortable beds, and the BEST view you can imagine of Oyster Bay and the natural surroundings from your own private balcony. Every room has a view! There is a flat screen TV with plenty of channels, and a DVD + VCR player: there is a large library of very good, older movies on video tape (!!) that you can borrow and play in your room if you wish. Breakfasts are good: on the continental side (English muffins, pastries, cereals, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, orange juice) and include hard boiled eggs. Overall, this was a surprise: a pleasant, priceworthy, and enjoyable stay.

This is an old motel that has been renovated and is in good condition however it has stairs and being 80 yrs old carrying our suitcases up and down was difficult. The breakfast that is included is very sparse and not a big area. However the view is lovely and the price for the area was reasonable. The staff were very nice and helpful.

We loved the view from our room. While the hotel is somewhat dated, it's not sterile like so many chain hotels. The staff was very friendly, and like others have said, the water pressure is outstanding. We'll probably stay there again next year.

This property is very old and it just flat out smells like an old bar room. Stinks like cigarettes. The view of the bay is very nice until the tide goes out and exposes the sewer pipe running into the water. I don’t recommend this property to anyone with a sense of smell.

This is an old school motel. The beds were comfortable, the room was very clean, it was nice and quiet and the view was gorgeous. We had a very nice weekend stay.

This is an older property, but well-kept. They serve a nice continental breakfast and have free local and national newspapers for the guests to read. They also have a library of movies to borrow. Above all, I love the view! All rooms have a balcony and view of the incredibly beautiful small bay. We have stayed here many times. The view brings us back.

In town for a high school reunion. View was perfect, zipped over to Winco for wine and snacks to enjoy on the deck and chairs. . Beds were comfortable and room was quiet.

My favorite place to stay in Bremerton. It's easy to get to, quiet, clean, nice staff, and has a great view, with a private patio, table, and chairs. Fridge and microwave included.

I liked how well preserved and maintained the property was. They just seemed to have not upgraded the carpet since once allowing smoking.

The pool is great, clean rooms, awesome staff. I had a great visit with my nephew who loved the pool. Also, the laundry here works great!

I liked the ambience of this motel. The lobby was small but inviting. The gentlemen who did the registration were pleasant, polite, and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and felt homey. I, especially, liked the balcony that overlooked the “lake” and the gorgeous sunsets. I recommend this place.

We loved the retro vibe of this inn. Every detail was lovely from the glasses and ceramic cups in the room to the white shirt and tie on the desk staff. The pool was cold but very clean and a perfect size. The poolside chairs were in good condition and comfortable. The breakfast was carefully prepared and coffee and tea were available at all times. The view from our balcony was spectacular. We had a delicious dinner at Anthony’s near the ferry terminal.

Been staying here for many years. Consistently excellent.

It is an old Inn. However, the staff was nice and friendly. The room was clean and had all the traditional amenities. The two chairs were old but comfortable. The bed gave us a comfortable night sleep. The view from both inside the room and from the balcony was beautiful, especially the sunset. That made it worth it. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for budget travelers looking for a relaxing and soothing view of Oyster Bay.

even though it is an older property,it is by far one of the cleanest property we have stayed at. when you enter the room it has a fresh clean smell. Nice furniture, clean bathroom and nice linens. comfortable bed. AND, of course the view from the balcony is awesome. adequate continental breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Fun, quirky, and old-fashioned (in a charming way). Clean room and comfortable beds. Excellent service at check-in. Love that every room has a balcony with water view! Definitely recommend 3rd floor, if you can do stairs (no elevator!). Continental breakfast was sparse but edible. Seemed a little on the expensive side for an older property, but when compared with other brand-name hotels in the area, it was a good deal. I would stay here again.

Not big and fancy but very comfy like home. Been here the 4th time over last few years. Happy with excellent and friendly services. Convenient location, 24 hour supermarket is right around the corner. Happy stay as always. Thanks Flagship Inn!

Not fancy, but very clean. Our room was recently renovated, the carpet thick and soft, and the view is stupendous. Continental breakfast was fine, with many items wrapped in plastic, again, very clean.

The view over the water. Always had good coffee any time of day. Very clean room. Beds were comfy.

Nice place. As others have noted it is dated and could use a face lift but having said that, the room was comfortable. The view is nice. The staff were friendly and responsive.

This was our 2nd stay at the Flagship and it won't be our last. From the amazing view from our room to the home-made chocolate chip cookies at the front desk, this was a wonderful place to stay. Oh, and the breakfast that was provided each morning was perfect. Highly recommend this hotel.

While the property is admittedly very dated the plush sink your feet into comfort carpeting, excelent water pressure and above all the view scream luxury. Only real downsides were the lack of elevator and carb heavy breakfast

Perfect quiet lil spot for the family. Close to base so that was convenient. The morning view is breathtaking, I sat on my balcony and enjoyed my morning coffee to the beautiful lake view. And quiet! Was perfect for our weekend visit!

Although the hotel is dated, You can't deny the attraction of the balcony lake front rooms. This was a quaint and enjoyable place and the service given from all the staff was great.

We try to stay at the Flagship every time we visit Bremerton—usually about once a year for a week—and we always love it. It’s charming and old-timey, and the view is absolutely incredible! We've never had a single issue. This time, the pool was closed for the first half of our stay. It wasn’t a big deal at all, but they still went out of their way to give us a little something extra to make up for it. You can tell they truly care about their guests—even a loud crew like ours.
