Oyster Bay Inn & Suites

I’ve stayed here once a year for about 9 years. It’s “ok” at best. They have nearly doubled their prices this year. Room looks fairly clean but the dead bugs and cob webs on the window sill, and sticky tv remote say that the attention to detail is lacking. There are better options in the area.

Shower temp knob would not adjust off HOT. Took multiple tries. Breakfast is 5-9a, but better be there before 8 or there is no more food besides waffles. Snooze you lose. Many of us were very unhappy.

Such a beautiful place to stay. The hotel was very clean and the view was amazing. I was really impressed with the breakfast buffet. The staff was super friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Odd place. Small lobby with some sketchy people. Staff seemed nice, but he gave me the wrong type of room at first. He corrected it, and the room itself was pretty nice. But the rooms vary greatly. The bed was comfortable and everything went fine overall. And some nice aspects. But it was just an odd experience. Best for adventurous travelers.

The first thing I noticed upon entering the hallway from the parking lot was that the exterior door was broken, leaving it unlocked all night long. That, and a guy sitting in his car right outside that door for a few hours gave me chills. But I forgot all that once I walked into my room! What a NICE room! 2 beds just for me. My pet peeve of TV's that don't swivel was instantly relieved when I found theirs DO swivel. Very clean room, nice bathroom, 2 sinks, balcony with a view of the inlet, and very quiet room. My only "complaint" was their breakfast system. They have a huge dining room, but all the tables are covered with sheets. They make you either come down and pick up your breakfast OR have it delivered to your room. Pretty cheesy. And the biscuits and gravy were full biscuits, not cut in half like 90% of places that serve this. You don't put whole biscuits in and cover them with gravy, you cut ONE in half then cover them. My room had the most comfy pillows I've ever used in years!!! Nice adjustable shower head with plenty of water pressure! The elevator was an added bonus! I'll definitely stay here again! Nicest hotel I've stayed at in Kitsap County so far! A better TV remote would be a nice touch, the one I got had maybe 10 buttons. All the staff seemed pretty friendly. Yes, I would recommend this place to anyone! You can't see your car from your room, but if you can deal with that, you're fine.

This is a very nice and well cared for Hotel. The staff was really friendly and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised to have a room that looked out on the water and access to generous breakfast options. It was a great value for the price. The room was clean and quiet, and I really appreciate that it did not smell like air freshners or cleaning chemicals.

What would make the stay perfect is dining options vs just delivery or pickup for breakfast, even though that's fine in itself. Also, if possible, adding a pool for the kids for more enjoyable activities.

The Good: the room was clean and nice view from balcony. The OK: Breakfast was delivered hot, however, there was no knife and bagel didn't come toasted. Bedding was newer, but pillows were awful, bring your own. The Bad: first time running water and brown water came running from the sink. I gave it time and it cleared up, old building and rusty pipes... this I could get over, but not having hot water for a shower..unacceptable. water would get barely like warm, then turn cold. Tried to give it time and still luke warm. I didn't get to shower all weekend. I also letthe front desk know the chair in our room was broken when we turned in our breakfast voucher an hour after checking in and it was never fixed/replaced during our stay.

Water in bathroom did not work. Had to move. They wanted a 250 deposit for pet. I refused to pay. So they dropped to 100. I did get it back. Breakfast is a brown bag delivered. Rooms ha a nice view. Some people live there full time it looked like. Not staying there again

The next morning we went down about 6:45-7am to get our "free breakfast" and were told that in order to get breakfast we had to have filled out a menu by 10pm the night before. We weren't able to check in until after midnight. I informed the hotel of this prior. I explained to the day shift receptionist we were not told anything about filling out a menu at that time nor when we checked in even though I asked what time breakfast was and was told 5:30-9. The day shift receptionist didn't care nor did she even offer so much as an orange or apple to us. She just said "sorry". She could have said "sorry, I can't offer you any hot food but we do have pre packaged items." The guest guide in the room doesn't mention anything about having to fill out a menu either. It just simply states when breakfast is. We filled out a menu for the next day and there were definitely items on there that she could have offered such as: yogurt, prepackaged danish, orange, apple, banana, and juice. Also, toilet didn't want to flush completely. The cleaning person handed me a plunger to fix myself. Overall, I was not impressed with this property and won't be returning.

The rooms are good and quiet but I do think the bathroom could be cleaner. Otherwise the hotel was what we needed for a quick overnight stay.

Interior seemed to be renovated. Very clean. Comfortable beds/bedding. Spacious rooms. Nice that they provide shampoo and conditioner instead of the 2 in 1. Having breakfast delivered to our room was convenient. Access to small beach is nice.

Booked a bayview, got a view of the parking lot. Front desk said I booked a room with a kitchen, which I did not. The TV didnt work and the kitchen sink was backed up. Going to try the hotel next door next time as we need a reliable place to stay in Bremerton, as my son lives there.

The negatives: We received absolutely no housekeeping service, which was so odd as when we left our room, the room next to us was being done. It's like the housekeeper just totally skipped over us and forgot about our room. The other huge negative is there doesn't seem to be any security roaming the hotel. We had people knock on our door at 4am and then run away, there rooms around us were blaring their tv's, people were shouting at each other loudly, which could be heard in our room and we could hear toilet flushing all through the night.

Very clean room. Delivered free breakfast to room. Fancy folded towels. Evening staff on new years eve was great with awesome local recommendations. Friendly morning staff as well. Great experience. Price was cheap for this nice of property with bay view balcony, and private beach.

Spent 4 nights. Rooms clean and recently updated. Enjoyed sitting on balcony and watching the otters and birds. Appreciated the option to have breakfast delivered to our room. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The rooms were much nicer than I expected

I needed a quiet place to stay for a couple days. The room was quiet, the air conditioning worked well and there was a nice view of the bay out the window. I had plenty of clean towels for showers. The microwave and refrigerator were a welcomed accommodation, for a heated snack and kept my drinks cold so I didn't have to leave late at night.

The location was great and the view to the water from the balcony was good. Our balcony had pipes going to the water but was not a huge deal. We had our breakfast delivered to our room as we were leaving early and had arrived late so we only asked for things easy to take - bagel, snail horn, etc. The pastries were like what you would buy from a quick shop, small sealed plastic wrapping, and tea was just a tea bag. Again, we were there for a short time and it was nice to have something delivered but was not exactly what we expected.

The to go breakfast was an amazing service!

Although it is an older buliding, it looks like this hotel has had recent updates (new carpets and furniture), which is nice. The view of the bay off the balcony is very peaceful. Breakfast is included, and they even deliver if you want! The bacon is very good (from a local supplier I believe). I would stay here again if I need to visit Bremerton in the future.

A little glitch, they checked me out a day early. Locked out of my room when returning from evening out. Had to go to front desk and have card reactivated.

The only drawback was the sewer line going into the bay was partially uncovered and exposed during the mid to low tide, which was unpleasant when outside for half an hour or so when there was an onshore breeze.

Had higher expectations for such an expensive hotel. Half-ass renovations. It was a disappointing experience.

The bathroom shower water adjuster needs to be replaced. No toilet paper holder i the bathroom. And not a big fan of the breakfast ways. Tou could at least have a coffee maker in the breakfast room. Not enough tables either.

I would have rated cleanliness a 5 star but our first day back after checking in to our room, the freshen up was bad. Bed was not made well, towels were thrown on the bathroom rack and after asking for an iron it was not left. I called a total of 3 times to request an iron and board. Other than that a beautiful view and front desk staff were very nice!! Thank you.

We had prepaid reservations for 6 rooms for friday and saturday nights. One of the people had car problems and did not get to the hotel until early morning and when he went to check in, they told him his reservation had been cancelled after 3am and would not let him check in, even tho the room was already prepaid for both nights. So he had to sleep in his car, but was able to talk to the manager the next day and get his room for saturday night. His room was prepaid for both nights so it should not have mattered what time her got there. We asked for refund for friday, but were told we would have to deal with expedia, since that is who we booked thru. What can be done, if anything?

I was unable to enter my room at the end of each day without ending up at the front desk to have them rekey my room card. There were no instructions on getting breakfast. You have to order it the day before. When I checked in I ordered for the next day but then I didn’t get back to the hotel until after the deadline to offer for the following day which means I missed breakfast. I didn’t know if housekeeping would put order form in room but you had to request an order form from front desk each day instead of giving you one for each day of your stay at check in. Housekeeping came the first day and took garbage and replaced towels but didn’t make the bed which was odd and they disposed of my dogs travel bowls for their food and water.

Was nice to have breakfast brought to the room. Food was good and had a lot of choices.

Play simple it was easy access. The initial appeal was different than the overall experience. I got better experience than I thought and the location was a lot more accommodating than I thought and I’ll definitely be back.

Check in process was terrible. Felt more like an interrogation and the staff was very condescending. Construction was happening in the lobby and the worker liked to stare. Room had flies but besides that, was pretty good. Amazing water pressure

The property was clean, just dated. The staff was amazing with check in and out. Our “neighbors”were a little loud, and there was a smell in the hallways. In all my kids and I had a good time and the breakfast was delicious.

Loved the room and the view as always. Breakfast dine-in area was beautiful and the food and service overall very good. I liked the look of the lit-up hotel sign and freshly painted parking area and exterior. Have come here multiple times while in town for family visits. Coming back!

My room door didn’t fully shut. The only reason I stayed in the room was because it had a deadbolt. Felt worried all night. Towels were thin and itchy. The toilet paper was also rough. Upon checkout no one asked how I enjoyed my stay. Disappointing night.

We were thrilled to get off the Ferry and have this nice remodeled water front room at a decent price.

I stay here every visit and this time was placed in second building that was closed before. It has been “remodeled” and the whole room stunk of cigarettes awful! All they did was slap fresh paint on it and called it a remodel. We had a kitchenette room that had a non working garbage disposal with so much food in it that had obviously sat for months and smell was awful. The exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work. Towels, bedding and room was clean and comfortable other than the foul cigarette smell in a non-smoking room. These rooms used to be lived in long term so they are in pretty bad shape. I also called in advance to ask for a water view room and was disappointed to be dumped into this room with a view of the parking lot. I couldn’t even open my curtains because everyone could see straight in. I felt safe there as usual but was very disappointed with my stay overall. The breakfast used to be pretty good, but it was a fail on this visit. Food was very limited from their usual menu and they kept sending us some microwaved scrambled eggs instead of what we actually ordered (frittata) so it all ended up going in the garbage. Also, we only had one tiny garbage can in our room when usually there are several which meant that trash was piled high after just one meal being eaten. I think the garbage cans in the rooms need to be much bigger. We ended up with 6 bags of trash lined up in our room almost everyday. Poor cleaning ladies.

The first room they put us in was in a constructive state with paint on half of the bathroom door. Because I’d asked for a room with a balcony they moved us. The door to the room constantly was sticking making it so we had to slam into it to get it to open. When entering there was an odd scent. That didn’t change anywhere within. The breakfast that was boasted in other reviews must have been old. The breakfast was pre packaged and/or skimpy offerings. Offered delivery or to-go. Two days in a row the order was missing items that weren’t replaced. Had to eat elsewhere. Great outside view. Opportunity could be for them to put outdoor seats near the water.

The bed is very comfortable. The room is clean and well designed. I appreciate the comforter (not just a flimsy blanket), which helped tremendously esp. when the heater did not work Here is my gripe: I booked the room through Expedia which guaranteed a price that included tax. The hotel, however, charged me $12 ish more claiming the tax was not included in the original cost Expedia guaranteed. When I contacted the hotel, they pushed me to contact Expedia, claiming there was nothing they could do. I threw a fit and demanded to talk to a manager to get a refund. I don't care about the $12 but it's a matter of principle. At what point will I care? $20? $200? If neither Expedia nor the hotel honors the price I was told guaranteed the room, then they have lost all credibility. Who can trust them anymore?!! Also, they charge $100 upon check in. It was definitely in the fine print so far down their policy page that most people don't notice. Although it was refunded promptly upon check out, I wish they had been more explicit about this because when you check in, it's too late to change if you don't want to pay it.

The hotel looks clean and decent overall, though a bit dated. Check-in was smooth, but the front desk woman wasn’t friendly—just professional. The room and building were clean, though the elevators showed their age. My biggest issue was the internet. It was so painfully slow I couldn’t check emails, make calls, or attend a Zoom meeting. I had to leave within two hours of checking in. There’s basically no signal or usable Wi-Fi. If you’re traveling for work or want to stream anything—even on vacation—this is not the place. I lost $125–$150 with no refund. Once you check in through Expedia, you’re stuck. Not Expedia’s fault, but this hotel desperately needs an internet upgrade. Total waste of money.

Nice rooms. Well furnished. No breakfast room requires eating in the guest's room. It worked but it's nice to have a gathering room in the morning, especially for a group.

It is pet friendly. Otherwise, I would not pick to stay here. The facility is old, the doors are broken. Noise above and outside.

Looks like they are going through a remodel. Had lovely service. Very much enjoy the breakfast option. There does seem to be smoking allowed and even in my non smoking room it was prevalent.

Staff was wonder, property was under construction but respectful and clean, room was great and bed super comfortable. Nice walk right down to the water. Had water view and balcony. Have stayed in quite a few budget hotels and this was by far my favorite. If in Bremerton again will absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately the hotel looked to be under construction and had debris and worker trucks blocking entrances to the building. The room did not have ANY toiletries including soap or additional toilet paper. The room itself was pretty beat up with soap scum on the shower wall. The shower/tub appeared to have caulking all over as well as if not maintained at all. Over all felt kinda dirty being there.

The property is dated, but clean and kept up decently. The rooms are huge and surprisingly well equipped. The star of the show are the balconies. They are exactly as described on the website: beautiful views of Oyster Bay right off the back balcony. We only stayed a night, but we liked this hotel very much for the rate and would stay here again if in the area.

Wasn’t so sure about it when we pulled up. Hotel is old however….. the rooms are brand new! New carpet, paint and bedding. Best nights sleep I have had at a hotel. Would do it again!

Loved the water view from our room

I was charged an additional deposit and then another unexplained charge after checking out. My reservation was confused with someone else's. They thought I had a service animal and wheelchair access.

Staff were extremely friendly and the rooms were comfy and clean. Their continental breakfast is also a nice way to wake up as it can be picked up at the front desk or delivered to the rooms.

Our stay was nice, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. They were doing some remodeling so we had our breakfast delivered up to our room it was ok I think if there had been a dining area we could have had a better variety to choose from.

My actual room was actually mostly pretty nice. The hallways tho were hideous and run down looking. Also I wasn't informed upon booking that they were so deeply under construction. They charged far more than they were worth..

Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the friendly lobby staff, who made me feel welcome. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient. Environment inside the hotel remarkably quiet—ideal for a relaxing retreat. Rooms are spacious and modern. The view from the balcony was simply unbelievable, offering a stunning panorama that turned every morning coffee and evening wind-down into a memorable experience. On top of that, they have a choise for breakfast - many healthy options. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and inspiring getaway.

i like the complementary breakfast but was shocked by the amount of wavers and regulations you had to sign and the general condition of the building is semi deteriorated

I stayed at the Oyster Bay Inn for a dog agility competition. I found the room very run down and the towels were poor quality. It seems that they house long-term workers there who hang around outside smoking in every corner. I will say that the staff are polite and helpful.

The staff was very friendly & helpful. We were in the lower level of the original building with an elevator (so access was OK with my limited mobility.) We had a nice view, but unfortunately no direct access to the lawn area overlooking the bay. Furniture was kind of beat up, but serviceable & bed was comfortable. Microwave, fridge & TV worked fine. Our room & linens were clean. Toiletries were unexpectedly nice. Free breakfast was great. Especially appreciated selecting from menu list the day before & having breakfast delivered to our room. The room was not listed as accessible, so I shouldn't complain; but the only really bad part for me, was the very low toilet. Other than that it was a great stay.
