This Hotel is amazing, the staff are incredibly nice and kind, I would stay here again.

They have upgraded the hotel and it looks great

They are renovating the lobby, is dust everywhere and construction noises around 8am, really didnt bother us because we were up around 8am anyway and the all family slept good, the room clean and smell good, no noises at night and the hotel is in a good spot, the beach is 5 min walking, restaurants and bars are close that we didnt have to drive at all. We definitely coming back.

Hotel was being remodeled TV didn't work in our room and when we went for breakfast it was a muffin, breakfast bar in a bag with coffee or juice. Maybe after remodel it will be better.

The pictures on the website were very misleading. The room looked dingy and dirty and it was incredibly small.

the only good thing was the location of the hotel. The hotel was nasty, had mold and dirt on the beds, hair in the shower, paper thin walls neighbors having loud sex at 9 in the morning. not to mention they didn’t tell you about the construction they have going on until you get there which they start at 8 in the morning every day right above your room so you can forget sleeping in. snobby staff act like we’re stupid because of mold where we sleep. will not be coming back spend your money else where

Outside was nice. Inside is being renovated so we got an old room where the walls were kind of funky. The a/c was very noisy and couldn't use it. The shower head was awful looking, the lighting was terrible - great big fluorescent light over the entire bed, so if one wanted to read the other couldn't sleep. The two men at the front desk when we came in never cracked a smile. The woman the next day was very pleasant.

Bedding was covered in crusty stains and looked as if the comforter was just flipped over. Asked for late check out because I needed that extra time for sleep since we got in so late and was woken up at 10:30 when checkout wasn’t supposed to be until 12. Emailed management and all I got was a “i’m sorry, but in our defense housekeeping probably wasn’t communicated with” and complete disregard for the dirty sheets.

My sheets were dirty and had stains. The walls were so thin I felt like I had to whisper while talking to my wife.

Looks lovely outside & the reception was nice. People on reception were very friendly. Room was dated and colour scheme was awful. Furniture stained. Dead cockroach in room and building work (drilling & hammering) started at 8am. Couldn’t put air conditioner on at night as it was too loud.

When walk in door you smell the cleans. The Attendant(s)was very nice and helpful. I my like room because it did not have carpet on the floor(s). Queen size Bed very comfortable room cleanse, do not enter your room. They do not give out your information that you staying there. Safe for personal items in your room. In town from Seattle, WA staying their for weekend for my niece wedding on the beach. Most of ALL they had Grade A rate (100%)and close by business, eatery and main road

Nice location close to everything my only problem was that the heat did not work the first night I tried it no problem the temp. was not that cold but the second night I seen that the temp. was going to be 36 degrees so I told staff I needed to switch to a room where the heat worked no problem I was accommodated.

Hotel was nice but the shower water pressure was bad.

The motel was modern and up to date on design. Staff was very friendly and the room was very clean and neat

we arrived a little early and the lady at the desk made use come back at 3.came back later and there was a new lady i believe to be the manager our room smelled like smoke so we got another room she was very helpful

Very great hotel to stay with family members

The hotel was clean. There was only 1 outlet available to charge our phones. There were no cups in the room & no information about hotel amenities e.g. what time for breakfast. The desk clerk was very polite & professional.

The staff was lovely and very accommodating. The hotel is in a great location. The weekend we went to Carolina beach, there was king tide and flooding happened around other hotels but not ours :). Great parking, even better location.

The hotel was beautiful inside and out. After I located the building, I was met by a professional, attentive, friendly, and helpful staff member. I was given a clean gorgeous room, and local information that was beyond helpful. The hotel was spotless, refreshing, and charmingly decorated. My only issue and or concern was the weather......lol no one could change that. Absolutely wonderful stay, and I will visit again on my next trip to the area.

Satisfied with service, Tuesday afternoon attendant was superb. Room for a one night stay was okay.

Older property

I like the closeness to my venue but the outside lights kept me awake

The place is severely understaffed and they display a sign for it. The staff I dealt with were way that more generous and helping when an error occurred in my booking. I would stay again, have patience as the world works through this chaos.

ONLY THING I DID NOT LIKE WAS THE SHOWE HEAD LOOKED CRUSTY, WHICH MAY JUST BECAUSE IT WAS OLDER. BUT IT IS DEFINTLY A PLACE I WILL COME BACK TO!

This was my third time at Windstar.. One of the most Cleanest Hotel / Motel I have ever been to.

It was a Family little get away to relax and do some fishing and we enjoyed the place

1st room they gave us was smokey and moldy. 2nd room was also moldy and the bathroom was outdated and everything was rusted and wallpaper was coming off the walls

-The windows don’t open in the room -there were about 8 empty water bottles in the desk area when I got inside -there was Several hair of another person around the Tub and on the floor -the beds blanket had a hole in the bottom, covered by the colorful addition at the foot of the bed. -no phone/no clock/ no iron in room (iron is available at desk though) -only outlet for plugging your phone is beneath the side table which is screwed to the wall (not good for elderly or those who can’t bend easily, better off to unplug microwave and use that) -sink handle was dirty on arrival (I wiped this with a tissue before using because there was a film on there and that’s how I noticed this) -the smoke detector was missing from the ceiling -there were also what looked like water damage on ceiling -saw 0 bugs in the room -close to the beach access (driving is about 8 minutes) -sandwich shop across the street -all staff were kind and accommodating

The property manager was very rude when I got there. I called ahead of time to see if I could do an early check in and I was told I could. When I got there the manager said I could not check in early even though I told her the name of the staff who said I could. Then she proceeded to smoke Cigarette right in front of me with the smoke going in my face. So I had to wait an hour and a half to check in. When I got to my room the bed felt like it had sand in it and I had to remove the sheets and dust it off. The back wall by the window had a hole in it and there was hole in the bathroom ceiling. There was dead roaches in the closet. They have a bagged breakfast which sucks because I called to ask if they had a hot breakfast and was told that they do but that wasn’t true.

Clean is the only nice thing I can say! SMALL SMALL SMALL! The elevator can only fit 2 people in it even! and the room is barely big enough for the bed! By far the smallest hotel room I have ever seen! And the floor would probably been more comfortable than the bed! Even the pillows were rock solid!

Sheets were clean but full of sand in both beds only 2 lights worked in room, microfridge would run 2 hours and cycle off, no hot water-they literally told the adjacent room to refrain from using their water so we could take a shower, continental breakfast was a white lunch bag with a muffin and trail mix and they only had a few and would not prepare anymore

We had a Wonderful stay here everything was In place Very clean close to everything we will be back soon 💯

The staff were extremely accommodating. When we needed extra towels, they were there. The only issue was the bathroom fan didn’t work but that wasn’t a big deal.

My husband and I took a few days to go to Carolina Beach and chose to stay at the Windstar. I would NOT recommend this place to ANYONE!!! The rate was too high for the type of facility this is, our room was NOT serviced any day that we were there. I asked if we could get it serviced and was told to Covid they were not servicing rooms. I asked if we could at least get clean towels and never got those either. We were told the pool closed at "dark", but we could still sit in the pool area, HOWEVER we were kept awake 2 nights by kids in the pool after 11pm. On the last night we were there my husband and I went down to the pool to take a quick dip and hang out. It was dusk, not dark and a lady who worked there came out and told us the pool closed at 8 pm and we needed to leave the pool area, not to mention the pool was full of frogs. This is not what we were told initially. She was EXTREMELY rude and hateful. We had seen several other times around the property and she had the same mean hateful snarl on her face and was rude and demeaning to people. As soon as someone left the pool area she would come out griping and complaining. Slamming chairs back into pace as if no one is supposed to sit down. If she does not like her job she needs to choose another profession.

Everything was fine , good service

Room and Hotel were clean, everything in the room worked. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful.

From the outside it looks very nice, the rooms not so much.

Once we checked in we never saw anyone all evening and had to wait in the morning for someone who appeared to be hiding in the back to turn our keys in. We were told breakfast was at 6:15, again no one was around finally someone came out around 6:45, we asked about breakfast and were handed a bag with a tiny muffin, granola bar and packet of fruit and nut mix. The room was very small microwave stacked on top of small fridge? TV was on TOP of a cabinet next to the ceiling, very few channels worked and there was long dark hair, not mine, in the little coverlet on the edge of the bed.

Nice over all, bathroom tub rod is broken. Air conditioner is loose so it makes noise.

Very dissapointed....left after one night to find a better place.

I was disappointed with the fact that there wasn't anyone on staff to make the beds during our stay. Granted it was a two night stay I still believe there should've been someone to tidy the room at the rate of $184 a night.

Fantastic trip and location!

During our first night, a staff member threatened that he could kick us off the property in 30minutes if there was a noise complaint made about us. We apologized and said we would lower our volume which was not loud to begin with. After we apologized he stared us down and kept threatening us to be quiet. This lasted for 7-8 minutes. This is extremely rude and unprofessional! I did not feel safe or welcome at all but I could not find another hotel to book for the weekend.

Easy check in, very helpful staff. Loved how close it was to some of the shops. The pool was clean and great to swim in.
