    False advertisement on the Expedia app and red roof..Basically 76 dollars doesn't get you a microwave or fridge..but he did switch me to a room(with a 11.00 upgrade)50.00 deposit that did have it but had roaches scattered throughout the room including the tub and toilet and sink and walls..wake up to what we and my wife did at 6am would definitely have u act the front desk and checking out like we did at 6:00am 12th 0P0ll

    The room was very basic—it doesn’t even have a hair dryer. The mattress reminds me of the those from the 70’s with creaking metal springs. I was shocked to see that those types of mattresses is still being used.

    The facility is in a very good location and it's very clean. There is also free coffee in the morning. I arrived at 12:30am for the first night of my booking (most of the day had already passed). I asked the nightshift worker when checkout time was (I booked for 3 nights), and he said 11am. I asked if I could get my stay extended until 12pm, and he smiled and said that wouldn't be a problem (he made a note on the computer). The night shift worker was very friendly and amiable, which I thought was nice considering how late it was. The concern was when checkout time came. I came to the lobby at 11am and I asked the Indian gentleman who was working if they could hold my two bags (both were hand carry luggage sized) for 40 minutes (I wanted to walk across the street and get food). He told me no, so I told him that's fine and I will go back up to my room since checkout is at 12pm for me. He was very rude and said that I was already checked out and that I couldn't go back to the room. He proceeded to tell me that the room needs to get cleaned and that's it; I can't go back. While I waited in the lobby until 12pm for my ride, I saw him being very rude to another customer who was simply asking for a clean towel. I regularly visit Cary, but I will NEVER stay at this place again. A shame, to be honest.

This time we were put in an alternative building on the second floor with a non-working elevator. The desk person did not tell us that the elevator was not working. The bed was terrible in this room. We are a couple who are in our 60's traveling with luggage. He could have told us about the elevator or offered us a room in the main building.

    Red Roof is the exception!!!! Benefits I appreciated: - No pet fee for my parrot - Had fridge and microwave (many hotels charge extra for a microwave) - Elevator (I didn't have to drag all my stuff up stairs) - Easy to access wifi (it ACTUALLY worked without me going on a treasure hunt for the password) - key card worked ALL THE TIME! (I didn't have to go back to the front desk to have them 'rekey' my card!) - It actually was CLEAN! - VERY roomy and the bed was comfortable - A trash can in the bathroom AND the main room - the work desk in the room was LARGE - FREE coffee in the morning - Staff was friendly and helpful I can't recommend this Red Roof enough!!! (Too bad they're not everywhere I travel!)

    The air conditioner did not push out much air keeping the room stuffy. The TV did not work. The remote seemed to be broken or not the right kind to go with the tv in our room. The "nonslip" surface in our bathtub had been removed, leaving a dark line around where it used to be. The back of our door looked like it had caught fire at some point and the peep hole was stuffed with a plastic bag to keep it from being used.

    We typically LOVE Red Roof Inns ever since they remodeled and updated them. Everything was great until we sat on the beds and practically sank. We both had a very uncomfortable sleep. Pillows were like pancakes and the mattresses were the worst I've ever slept on at a hotel. I hope they replace the mattresses and pillows soon for future guests. Other than that, it was a nice stay.

    It was supposed to be a non-smoking section of the hotel but you can definitely smell the Marijuana and all other sorts of smell from the hallway to the elevator. On our hallway at the 3rd floor, it smelled like a dead rat for the entire stretch until we got to our room. Our room was clean but then when we got on the bed - it just creaked and the bed was rough on the springs already - needs to be replaced.

    Check-in was efficient and easy. But was met with overwhelming smell of air fresheners. The elevator was like stepping into a marijuana smoke bomb, likely from the people who got off just before I got on, hallway and room had the same air freshener smell. Room a/c was set to 60 when I walked in…way too cold. Room itself was decent, but holes in the curtain, damage to the HVAC wall unit but didn’t affect performance, shower water pressure was low but tolerable, the tub spout, diverted and drain were rusty. The shower curtain didn’t keep water in the tub, so the floor was covered in water after my shower. Cracks in plaster in bathroom. Check-out was efficient, but I wasn’t able to get a receipt, was told I’d have to get that from Travelocity. For a budget hotel it wasn’t horrible…I’ve stayed in worse.

    I’ve stayed at this chain in Hampton. The conditions are night and day. One in Raleigh has light switch damn near out the wall. Sheets and bed spread was 100 years old. Wash cloth must be from the Dollar Store.

    Took my wedding ring off to make sure I didn't loose it in the bed. Left it there along with my wife's meds and called 2 hours after and they kept it. Hassle at the front desk, dirty and unsafe. Never again.

    I've stayed at this hotel many years ago and at the time it was in great condition. Based on this past experience, I decided to book with Red Roof again. Well, to my surprise the place was pretty much beat up and the hallway rug was so filthy and smelly. The bedroom I received had pubes all over the bathroom floor. Needless to say, I will never stay here in the future.

    I stayed in the king size room, bed was cheap and uncomfortable! Very thin mattress for a king bed. I've stayed at other red roof inn's and their beds were nothing like this. Black mold in shower. Overall, room was clean and next to shopping centers. Location was great! I am STILL awaiting my INCIDENTAL DEPOSIT.

    Our tv in our room did not work so our rooms were switched. Our key wouldnt work so i went to the other building and the front desk agent gave me a hard time about a room key while my wife with dementia waited to get in. I was really mad! It takes alot to get me mad with filthy loud thugs unsafe conditions this place is a train wreck. Dont do it. It stinks literally! No mas!

    There was hair in the bathroom and a use q-tip on top of the fan when I entered. The most inconvenient was the fan and the refrigerator that made very loud noise, which made it hard to sleep through the night. I do not think I will stay there again.

    Keys did not work properly and we had to call the front desk to re-do these so we could enter the hotel & into our room! Most inconvenient . No cleaning of our room next day at all, after arriving back to find the trash, dirty towels, etc. not cleared and replaced i called front desk... Was told they did not do this but every 3 days??? My stay was for 2 nights only, and i had asked for room service to be done while i was out all day. How stupid & rude is this???

    I had forgotten my hair dryer and there was not one included in my room. I went to front desk to see if they had one I could borrow and was told no, they dont have extras. Front desk was great and friendly checking in and out, room and bathroom were great, clean, quiet, wand very comfortable. Location was great as well, very reasonable distance from everything I wanted to do and restaurants. Will absolutely stay here again whenever I come back to Raleigh.

    I stayed here for an event. Getting an Uber to and from was easy enough, but the issue here was missing the turn onto the road to the hotel. If you missed it, you had to make 2 U-turns. Even the Uber drivers missed it! That was really what made it inconvenient. The beds were a bit springy. The room was clean, and the air conditioner kept the room very cool. The staff kindly allowed us to extend our stay by one night and stay in the same room. Overall, it was a good, affordable option to stay here.

The king size bed squeaked like a cheap hotel so not too comfortable. We did get this room for less than other hotels due to my hotel rewards & for it being mothers day weekend. Could have paid $10 more a night for fridge but we were being frugal. 😆

    I waited last minute to book a one night stay for a comedy show in town and this place was so convenient. The room was clean, non-smoking, the bathroom was clean, very nice staff, easily accessible. Definitely a convenient location; gas stations and fast food chains were within 5-10 minutes of it. I felt very safe; even when I came back around 2a from the night out. You can’t beat that for $90!

    Every thing was fine. One annoying thing. Front desk guy handed me my room key. Tells me it's upstairs. Watched me walk to the elevator. I can't find the room on the 2nd floor. I come back down and tell him so and he tells me I'm in the wrong building and to go next door. Why didn't he tell me that when he handed me the key? Why didn't he stop me from getting in the wrong elevator? Really annoying.

    It's a Red Roof, so you essentially get what you pay for. No fridge in the room which was whatever. Overall room was decently clean and came with the essentials for a one night. Not a bad place to stay if you're on a budget and just need somewhere to stay for a night.

    Was called by management 10am day of check in and was told if I was not there by 2pm then my reservation would be cancelled, mind you check-in is from 3pm-2am. My assumption is that they realized last minute there was a music festival in town and would be an influx of people and wanted to charge more for the rooms. Hallway has a bad odor, but other than that stay wasn’t bad. Good location

    I’ve stayed at this location afew times, and it’s always something. This time it was the bed to sheets obviously were not changed I found multiple pieces of hair woman a man all throughout the sheet set. Everything else was clean. But I’m done with this place

    Negatives: Bed was acceptable, but only fairly comfortable. Not all light fixtures worked. TV had lots of channels, but the channel guide was not very useful. No breakfast.

    Our overall stay at Red Roof Inn on 11/30/24 was very satisfactory, after a horrible check-in experience. When my daughter and I entered the lobby there was no sign of any employee. There was a bell, so I rang it. After three or four minutes of waiting, I rang it a second time. After another few minutes I rang it a third time. Finally, frustrated, I hollered out "Hello does anyone work here?" very loudly. Shortly after that a man entered the lobby from somewhere down the hall, carrying an open laptop. He did not look at us, let alone make eye contact, and did not greet us or apologize for the wait. He made it obvious that we were interrupting him. He checked us in quickly, not even stating the room number. I have never had a less pleasant interaction.

    I’d recommend being in the main building. First room (in adjacent building) smelled smoky (we requested a room change as there was only 1 bed. Not sure where the mix up happened but they were able to quickly offer another room). And the main building has a decent sitting area with coffee available.

    The hotel was very quiet, dark and gross. The bathroom in our room wasn’t cleaned and the light was actually burnt out so u couldn’t see. I asked for a refund from the nights we weren’t staying and they agreed but no refund has been given.

    The price is only slightly higher than a motel 6 yet the conditions inside are WAYYYYYY better. was it perfect? no, i saw some dust and hair on bathroom floor, but the bed and main room were very clean, there was no cigarette smell, and overall, for the price, what do you expect, there is almost nothing to complain about. would def stay again.

    I stay here periodically the location is good the staff are cool very easy to work with. This time around my top bed linings had stains on them and the floor wasn’t vacuumed I assume cause my sock had woman’s head on it. Other than that it was fine. Jus a fyi the main rooms when you check in are always cleaner and better the second building isn’t as pleasant but doable

    Run down, ceiling paint peeling off, stained sheets and comforters, pillows as thin as paper, beds make horrible noise due to a stupid metal base, mattress is super uncomfortable, lamp shades ripped or stained. All ice maker machines in the building I stayed in out of order. Water pressure NON EXISTENT in the shower. Honestly, they should refund me some money. This property needs to be gutted and remodeled.

    My biggest issue is that the second building first floor felt humid and damp as well as smelled moldy and of mildew. The room we stayed in had black mold on the ceiling and bathroom door frame. The “clean” towels they had in the room smelled musty and not clean, kind of like they have an old washing machine that’s moldy and needs cleaned or to be trashed. The worst part was that the entire first floor including our room was moist. Nothing was soaking wet but my clean clothes in my bag were the slightest bit damp when first put on. Also the bare floor area had me sliding around in my shoes as if there was a film on the floor. They should invest in an actual mop and not be using a broom with a wet towel wrapped around the brush bristles as a mop. There is no way that building would pass any kind of moisture or mold test. It’s bad! I would have asked to be moved rooms but since it’s seems to be a building issue it wouldn’t have made a difference. Since we only slept here and were out all day we just delt with it. However I would never stay here again as I’d rather pay more and stay in a room where I don’t wake up feeling damp and breathing in mold.

    Most noisy and uncomfortable mattress I’ve ever had in a hotel. The springs were loud with every movement. Constantly awakened us both. Mattress was also very saggy. Does Red Roof not have standards they enforce on their individual locations? We’ll not try this brand ever again.
