As for the room a the bathrooms are nice and big but the beds could use new mattresses....very uncomfortable in the room given to us but the ones in the room on the second floor were great. Overall I would recommend staying there. Have another Graduation next year I'll be sure to book again

This location is perfect. Near many eateries and shops. Quiet area. Plenty of garage parking. The drinks at the bar were made to perfection. The staff is friendly and helpful. My room had all the things I needed, was clean and well maintained.

The icing on the cake is the location, which is very upmarket and close to a lot of very nice restaurants and brunch places with easy access to all parts of Charlotte. We truly enjoyed our stay here, even though we stayed only for one night.

Loved the Canopy! It was clean and stylish. The front desk guy Napoleon was knowledgeable and helpful in getting us around the city that weekend. The garage was also a nicely set up. A little tight but better than parking on the street.

We had the best stay at The Canopy!! From the time we arrived, the staff was friendly, accommodating, and even made it possible to check in a little bit early. The room was perfect and very clean!!

Napoleon and Maddy were the sweetest and always had smiles on their faces. They made me feel so welcome and were ready to help with anything I needed. I love how I was greeted when I walked into the hotel. Everyone was nice and friendly. My room was so nice. The only thing that I didn’t like was my parking area. I didn’t like being down in the garage but overall it was really nice. I plan on staying again. I didn’t like the parking garage

I would've given 5 stars however, the ONLY reason I didn't is housekeeping. They didn't do a great job of cleaning (i'm not messy by any means). But replacing basics in the bathroom and in the coffee bar didn't happen. Fixed my bed sheets but didn't left pillows a mess. Basically bare minimum efforts. Otherwise absolutely great spot and a beautiful walk to where I needed to be. Would recommend for travel!

After visiting this hotel many times over the years for the first time we found it lacking in cleanliness which was a disappointment. Rugs are stained and one of our bed covers had two large stains even though it appeared freshly washed. The duvet insert in one of our rooms was also stained. The bathrooms appeared clean except for the shower floors that had some hair in both rooms. You can tell they had been wiped but not thoroughly. Other than cleanliness, the hotel is very convenient to shops and restaurants and quiet enough that you can sleep soundly. They have a bar, restaurant which is ok and offer covered self parking for $15 per night. Some people have mentioned they had some cars broken in but we found the parking to be safe.

We’ve stayed at Canopy SouthPark countless times in the last few years and had always appreciated cleanliness and staff. This time we found a stained comforter and very dirty area rug. In our second room the rug was stained as well. It’s time for a deep cleaning or maybe rug replacement. Parking used to be free and now it’s $15 which for the area is reasonable. The restaurant is ok, service at the bar is pleasant and attentive, there’s shopping and dining nearby. The hotel is quiet even though is not isolated. Front desk was professional and polite.

Didn’t go to the bar

Upon arrival I was given a dirty room and the employee act as if it wasn’t a big deal … the second room I was out in had a odor as if a previous pet had used the restroom in the room . The area rug was dirty and our sheets wasn’t the best (clean)

We have stayed at the Canopy in Southpark several times since it first opened. The property has gone down substantially in regard to maintenance and the staff. We stayed in a suite this time. No refrigerator or microwave, but a huge dining area. The carpets and upholstery were dirty. Upon check in, the clerks were downright rude. We will not be staying at this hotel again.

This is probably one of my favorite hotel stays thus far! The room decor was beautiful, modern and extremely clean. And the staff was very kind and helpful. I had a car rental and the parking was free and easy to find - either street parking or a garage right across the street was available.

My room was not cleaned very each day, wasn’t supplied with towels one day and the bed wasn’t made and the room was vacuumed not once. Also things were left ajar after maid service. There were multiple holes in the wall that they really should have repaired.

Staff was warm & friendly. Lovely facility, had a meeting in the lobby...beautifully furnished and not busy. Room & bedding were great.

The property was clean and well staffed. The food at the restraunt was very good. The gym had adequate stations, though the water dispenser inside the gym didnt seem to work. There is a filtered water station juat outside the doors. The lack of a microwave in the room was a bit annoying. Overall, the experience was great.

From check out, to check in. The staff was friendly, helpful and professional. The rooms were clean and the hotel was very conveniently located. The barista also made a great chia tea! I will definitely return.

Only concern is the parking garage. Poorly designed makes parking and getting back out of space very challenging. Watched multiple cars give up trying.

Also no fridge/mini fridge was weird - had a “cooler drawer” that you could put ice in but then it would have to be refilled often and would leak on the floor. Possibly just that one in the room wasn’t sealed properly but it was fine for a weekend. Complementary coffee in the lobby was 10/10! Staff was incredibly warm and friendly each time we came and went and the area is top notch. So close to everything in SouthPark but in a quiet area with a nice permanent living buildings and a giant dog park across the way. Had a great time and this is now my new spot for weekends in charlotte :)

Comfortable bed excellent restraunt

Parking lot is super tight. Air conditioning didn’t work in room and they had nowhere to move us. “Eco friendly” apparently means no AC in Charlotte on an August evening.

I had an incident my first night I stayed at the hotel. The sliding door in the room fell on me while I tried to close it. The bed is very soft making it uncomfortable for me with back problems, there was hair in the shower and the toilet paper was not replaced from the last guest. The staff were helpful and polite though.

Some construction work

Can’t find one complaint. This hotel is gorgeous, rooms are very well laid out, have everything you could need. All of the essentials and then some. Immediately when I walked in I was met with the warmest reception. Tall guy at the desk, I hate I don’t remember his name- set the stay off right. Will only stay here when I’m in Charlotte!!

Staff and checking was wonderful however I requested extra wash clothes to be in room when arriving only 2 were present.I don't use same washing towel once use I use a new one

The rooms are absolutely stunning & very clean. I was truly blown away with the quality of my stay for the price. The location is amazing, too. I will definitely be rebooking here in the future!

Parking was both good and bad. Under the hotel - safe from the occasional downpour…but, the spaces were tight. The entrance to the elevator was supposed to open with your room key, but it was disabled. Coffee was fresh, hot and tasty every morning. Staff was friendly, and we loved our room! A door separating the beds from the bathroom ensured I got to sleep in when hubby arose early. The location is excellent for shopping, dining, or even sightseeing, if you have a rental car. Came for a romantic weekend getaway. Loved it; will stay here again!

What stood out even more was the price. It was incredibly affordable and absolutely worth every penny. You really feel like you’re getting great value without sacrificing quality. The staff was another highlight of my stay. Every person I encountered was warm, friendly, and readily available to answer any questions I had. Their hospitality made the entire stay even more comfortable and welcoming. Though this was just a short trip for me, I can confidently say this will be my go-to spot whenever I need a relaxing weekend escape. Highly recommend!

It's a minor thing, but frustrating to the point that it left an impression on us. When arriving, the front doors are huge solid wood doors so two things - 1) you can't see people on the other side and we got hit reaching for the door not knowing someone was coming through; and 2) they are nearly impossible to open single handily with rolling luggage in tow or multiple bags. They are so heavy and bulky with no clear access. It would be surprising if they're ADA compliant as I didn't see any buttons for automation. I find that odd for a hotel with so many people coming and going during prime checkout and check in times. Also, with a larger vehicle, parking the garage is extremely difficult. They did attempt to charge me for parking in the lot one night but we didn't as there was a party onsite and parking was completely full so something to be mindful of. Overall, good stay.

Had to park across the street in an overflow parking lot that wasn’t monitored or no cameras. 10 vehicles were broken into. We got no response from management. We had to pay out of pocket for the replacement of our window. Told they were working for a refund but as of 6/27 it hasn’t happened. Occurred on 6/6/25 Parking is horrendous. Not enough parking for guests

Loved my stay

We were met by an amazing young lady at the front desk named Kiana. She was so friendly and helpful that she got our stay started on the right foot from the start! The rooms were very nicely appointed and comfortable. We enjoyed a nice breakfast in the lobby restaurant. Overall a great place to stay!

No microwave in room, had to come downstairs to use a community microwave. Carpeting in room had stains. Noise level from our room was a bit much (ice machine, doors slamming, noisy guest at elevator) Room #411 Someone set the alarm for 6:30am on Sunday on the alarm clock. No fun to wake to after a late night. Did like the hand santizer stations throughout the facility.

They don't tell you about the $15/day parking fee though

The facility was very nice, clean and staff was great! The only thing was not great was that i paid for breakfast for the four adults (2 rooms) thinking it would be an a la carte type breakfast - unfortunately, we only had one choice from the menu which was not something we eat and drinks were not included. So i paid for breakfast for 4 adults/2 days but we didn't use the vouchers at all. A waste of our money!!

Clean nice get away

We stayed here for a staycation/date night-we live in Charlotte. If we had been staying for something other than that or with our kids, I would have asked for a new room. The carpet was filthy, the chaise in the room had a giant stain on it and we had to ask for new sheets because there were stains all over them. I should mention there was a guest asking for a new room because his was dirty when we asked for the sheets from the front desk. The light switches in our room did not work properly. We had gone to dinner and brought drinks and some dessert but the fridge was in a drawer and it was not working so we just skipped using it. For one quick night, it was fine-the rooms are in rough shape for being a newer hotel in Southpark. The common areas in the lobby looked nice enough but we didn’t get up close and we did not try any of the dining options. They have some goofy water bottle for spring water in your room that looks cute but doesn’t fit under the water dispenser where you are supposed to fill it. We could also hear every door close, people showering, the ice machine outside our door. The hotel could be cute but they need a major overhaul of the rooms.

My only thing is I wish they had a refrigerator and microwave inside the room so we could warm our leftovers back up. Still had to pay for parking even tho we didn’t use the lot that was connected to the hotel. But other than that the staff was nice and we enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend to others.

The room was lovely and well designed although the carpet and furniture need a deep clean. They only have an expresso machine in the room. Would have preferred refular coffee, although available in the lobby, and would like a tea option. Parking is limited and the spaces are small so larger vehicles could not park properly. The walls were thin and we had loud people there singing, playing music and talking loud. So not a good night. The first night was quite restful. The beds are low and firm. The room is spacious and well designed. The elevator could also be heard even though we were middle of the hall. Next, time I'll select an end unit. You cannot beat the location and walkability in the Southpark area. I will stay here again for the location and convenience. I'll be much more selective of my room.
