    Trash and wrappers and food all thrown in the walk way towards your room DOES NOT HAVE A ELEVATOR so don’t pack no more but one bag water leaking by the stair way and in the rooms, smells like dog piss near the rooms saw a few animals inside the building poorly cleaned and behind a sketchy place doors barley lock very unsafe !! would never recommend this place all though the service and employees were friendly but poorly doing the job I work at hotel so I know how it should look cleanliness even with low maintenance cleaning is part of the job you should not have a cover fee to stay in a place like this I will never be coming back .

    The room was spacious and the tv was big, we brought our own Roku so I’m not sure how it works also nice deep tub. They have daily house keeping which you don’t see often anymore. It’s not in the nicest area but not the worst, I liked that you had to have a keycard or be buzzed in to access the building. They gave us an hour and a half early check in after I called 3 times Cons: THEY WOULD NOT HOLD OUR BAGS WHEN WE FLEW IN. This was the worst thing it caused a plethora of issues for us. I’ve never heard of a hotel not holding bags for guests so we had to figure out things to do for 4 hours with 5 bags. Like I said not the best area, a LOT of homeless at the chicken box right by the hotel, not their fault but an observation. Hallways smelled of marijuana everytime we came in & out Lady said it would be a $50 deposit but charged my card $65, not sure if I got charged extra for early check in or what happened there but made me feel weird. Over all wouldn’t stay here again but got the job done

    CONS: The hallway/room had an odor of Marijuana, the walls are thin (you can clearly hear the TV from the next room) if your neighbors aren’t considerate. You can hear noise from above if you are on the 1st floor; like a toddler playing/running around at 1:00 am. With all this being said, my husband and I would stay here again. The staff was outstanding in dealing with the majority of the CONS listed. Bring a small bottle of Fabreeze for the room and the other CON is covered.

    We have stayed at Red Roofs many times before but this is by far the worst experience ever and it will be our last. The first room they put us in smell like fish we requested a change and we were next door to what sounded like two young men playing video games hollering back and forth on & cussing, my husband asked for extra pillows and we were told that we couldn't get any because they couldn't get to them, our room had chipped paint on the walls, the hair dryer Mount was off and the hair dryer was disgusting, there was mold on the ceiling, some kind of brown substance on the bathroom counter, the phone didn't work had to use my cell phone to call the front desk at like 11:30 at night to tell the kids next door to keep it down because they were still going at it. They turned it down a little bit but we could still hear then going on until about 3:00 in the morning. NEVER AGAIN ANYWHERE

    Room was stinking, smell like dogs. Couch need cleaning, paint peeling, pillows are the worst, so flat you get neck tramps and bed not comfortable all. If they had breakfast, I wouldn't have eaten it. Had tag on the door and cleaning staff still when in my room while I was gone.

    It was only moments before I realized he was right and I needed another hotel. Unfortunately, in my haste and not knowing the area I booked one in the same neighborhood. I pressed send and realized the mistake I made and immediate asked for a refund to book something in a safer spot. The front desk lady would not refund me for the night even after I explained the situation and pleaded with her. Keep in mind, I never went to the hotel and addressed it moments after booking. She never relented and I paid for the my mistake. Do not go to this neighborhood. It is very bad. There are other economy hotels that won’t get you killed.

    There were roaches in the bathroom, no refund was offered or an extra night free just a change of room, and the halls smelled disgusting. Staff was okay, except housecleaning did not clean my room once (or even offer to change my towels be serious right now) and the older Indian lady had bit of an attitude the days before but it got a bit better the next few days I guess. Breakfast was just cereal and apples, and some coffee and a microwave not very exciting. Would not stay here again, I recommend spending the extra bit of money or not staying at any hotel in this area if you can.

    The room was clean, the sheets were spotless but the comforter could have been cleaner. The heater worked well and I was able to run it at 68 degrees while I was gone so I didn't come back to a cold room on a sub-freezing night.

    Pee on the floor when I first checked in and there was roaches. The breakfast is not really breakfast it’s only cereal and milk. The WiFi connection was terrible I could not connect to my PS5 so if you’re a gamer this is not the place to be . It was not clean and had me paranoid of bugs I will not be staying here again

    The room was very hot and stuffy. We waited for an hour after adjusting the thermostat to 72°F. We turned on tge TV and we didn't have a internet connection or TV channels. We had to use our own streaming service from our account at our home to watch tv in our room. We were still hot and uncomfortable in our room. We called front desk for assistance with the AC. A gentleman from the front desk came to our room to reset the AC. We waited another 30 minutes for the temperature to get cooler, never happened... We were transfered to another room per my request, the handicapped room was cool and the AC worked. The TV did not work in our new room and we had to sign in to our home streaming service to watch the TV. Also, very limited front desk personnel, we were stuck in the entrance vestibule waiting to be buzzed in to lobby. I will never stay there again..

    it was great for the price. The rooms were spacious and the bed was comfortable. It was clean just not super well kept, there was scotch tape on one of our walls? The bathroom wasn’t the greatest either, the shower curtain didn’t fit the size of the tub and the water drained very slowly. It looks like there could be some potential sketchy activity around the outside of the hotel but it was honestly fine. Close to a few food places & close to the city so it was good for a weekend! Would come back if we’re looking for a cheaper option when we go to charlotte for a few nights!

    There was a car parked on the side of the front entrance from the moment we arrived to when we left. Not in a parking hole and had trash all around. The room was okay, the bed was clean. The bathroom was not. The shower was gross and so were the floors. The couch in the room was covered in stains. The room smelled weird and the air conditioner didnt work. Also we had a late checkout and were rudley interrupted THREE time's and the last time they didnt even bother to shut the door back all the way.

    First the inn has no elevator and you have to walk up steps if your on another floor besodes the first floor. Room was dusty and we kept sneezing throughout the night, hand prints on the headboard, bathroom shower was dirty and the shower curtain had something nasty on it. Upon getting up around 2am to use the bathroom there was roaches crawling on the floor and in the tub. Luckily I always travel with my own cleaning supplies. The night served its purpose, but I will not book again.

    Horrible place to stay. The room smelled like cigarette smoke. There was hair in the “clean” bed. Cigarette burns in the bedding and even the shower curtain. The toilet DID NOT WORK AT ALL. The shower leaked all over the bathroom. No fan in the bathroom. Hallways were loud all night. I wouldn’t stay here EVER again. It was disgusting and I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. On the way out in the morning, it was evident that someone was smoking marijuana in their room. The odor was distinct and the hallway was hazy. Gross.

    I totally loved my stay, the front desk guy was very friendly during the check in and there was a lot of change since my last visit. The beds were super comfortable. I’ve seen a lot of negative reviews but I personally didn’t face any issues. I would totally recommend this one.

    The TV never worked. There were zero amenities. The reception area was completely bare. The pool was closed. The gym was closed. The staff barely spoke English. The keys were tricky. There was actually a used soap in the shower. Never, never, never, never again. And that's being nice.

    Room was large, clean and updated and had all the expected amenities. People working there were friendly. Location was convenient just off I-85. The only negative was that the entrance was always locked and the key card never worked to get in. No one stayed at the front desk and I had to bang loudly and yell to get someone to open the door. If the door is locked for safety, how safe is it that guests can't get in?

However, this particular one stands out because of the extraordinarily good customer service at the desk and how spotless my room was.

    The reason I booked was because of the heat and the swimming pool. The swimming pool was green and closed. As well the gym was advertised and it was closed. In addition the breakfast no longer offered could not even get coffee

    Walked in and the mini fridge was open and a huge puddle of water pouring out that we had to tiptoe around. The curtains were dirty and torn. Mold all over the bathroom ceiling. I took pictures and showed the guy and said we didn't want to stay there. He said he would refund our room. It's been almost a week and no refund so I think he forgot or lied. I think this hotel needs to be checked by the health department.

    Overall I probably wouldn’t stay again in this circumstance. I’ll probably take my chances with somewhere more expensive. This is a budget “hotel” inn. If you want/need something nice this is NOT the place. But it’s something better than nothing and it will do for 1 night or 2 if you push it.

    Cons: I think the clerk could have been a little more courteous. But he did get a little more respectful at the last minute for some reason. Tbh, he looked similar to the clerk that checked me in back in April 2020, who was rude. However, this clerk said he was only there for a few years when I asked. I asked because he looked and acted very similar. The mattress was no where near as soft as the average motel I've stayed in. If it were any harder, I would have thought I was sleeping on the boxspring. None of the lampstands had USB ports. Plus the clock was about 10 or 15 minutes slow, which could have caused me to miss check-out by 10 or 15 minutes, if I waited until the last minute to check out, like I usually do. I was in room 118. Right across the hall were these double doors, that were open. I smelled bad mop water coming from there. And we know what bad and dirty mop water smells like. Worst of all, the lack of sleep I got. I constantly heard motel doors slamming through the night. I only got two hours of strait sleep. Some of it could have been because I was right next to the exit. There was a little too much maintenance crew parked near my parking spaces, and near the entrance. Better, if they were security instead.

    Check in was quick and efficient. Guy that checked us in, greeted with a smile and very friendly and helpful. The guy that worked the late evening, possibly night shift on the 22nd ( our 2nd night stay) was rude and completely unhelpful. I guess I interrupted his playtime on his phone with a simple question about possibly extending our stay a couple more nights. He said, their policy is only a 3 night maximum stay. He said it was on the policy printed and placed on desk yet I read the whole entire paper while standing there with him and it never said anything about minimum or maximum nights allowed. He rudely went on to say "without me even asking" people even book rooms through third party's for 5 nights and we don't let them stay but 3 either. I have worked all areas in the hotel industry, under different programs and never heard of a maximum of 3 night stay. I would never speak to a guest the way he spoke to me, even when guest would be extremely rude to me. The way he spoke to me was uncalled for. I wasn't rude to him at anytime, I just asked a simple question and he lashed out on me. The room was extremely clean and very spacious!! It is indoor corridor and the locks on the entrance/ exit doors worked efficiently, so I felt safe. The night shift desk attendant is the only complaint I have. I guess the less guest they have the more time he has to play on his phone

    Just wasn’t a clean facility , they don’t clean the rooms well and it’s evident . But the staff was friendly and I had no issues my whole stay just not the cleanest place to stay and was expensive .

    Awful. The toilet had black mold inside and has not been cleaned in months. The bathroom is in need of serious renovation.

    The hotel was clean and accessible right off the highway. Gas stations and food stops located nearby. Great place for a quick getaway

    Property was in a very sketchy area. Our room smelled terrible!!! Some super strong colonge that made all of our belonging still smell that way when we got home. Only plus is it’s super cheap. But there is def a reason for that.

    The Host wasn’t the friendliest or easy to talk to, only other issue was some pillows look like they had blood stains. Which is extremely hazardous

    The man at the desk last night while checking in went above and beyond and was very kind i wish i knew his name to leave it in this review but he was there when we checked in at 9:30pm on sunday
