    This was solo 3 night trip for a family graduation. This is my 1st time at this location. I was just as happy with my stay as the Carowinds location. My king bed suite was perfect for one person. The bed was comfy and big TV that swivels was perfect. Hot water available, room was clean. Staff friendly and helpful. I missed free breakfast until the last day- it looked decent (standard spread). I will consider staying here again.

    Pool was not open and with small children expecting to swim, that was very disappointing and we would have selected somewhere else. Breakfast was very limited and in a tiny area of the hotel. Very crowded and selections were very limited. Nothing like the pictures listed on the website. The hotel was very clean however, we will not be staying here again.

    We love the room, it's nice and very comfortable. The teenagers running amok and knocking on doors and the foot stomping until late at night. The bathroom needs a smaller light by the toilet so you don't have to blind yourself getting up in the middle of the night or wake anyone else in the room from the lights.

    The room showed signs of wear and needed repairs: lose and missing tiles in the bathroom, tears on furniture. The staff was helpful after you got their attention. No one actively tried to help, including during checkin. The locion of the hotel does not have restraunts within walking distance, expect to drive for food.

    We got the room with the “sofa bed or trundled bed”, a family of 5. I do not recommend this room. No bedding for the extra bed nor enough towels like I requested before arrival. I called the front desk and was told I needed to come down and get the bedding and towels. As long as I stood at the front desk this shouldn’t been told to me. Also it looked like spitballs and another substance on the ceiling above the bed. It made sleeping a bit uncomfortable along with the people above me running back and forth. Breakfast was good. When we got to breakfast about 8am, the host politely told me a few of the options will be a few minutes, such as eggs and biscuits. Checkout was even longer with only one person working and I had a question about my account. She was extremely polite and I told her I understood she is only one person. They need some help in there. We didn’t get in the pool. It’s very small and is outdoors. Only one family probably would fit at a time.

    I paid extra choosing this hotel because I was traveling with several children and it advertised a swimming pool and breakfast, which would allow me to save money on food and activities while passing through. At check in, we were given a room and after opening the door, to our surprise was already occupied by another family. Which is DANGEROUS.. after getting our replacement room I ask about the pool and I find that the pool was closed and would not be opening during our stay so I had to find alternate activities which ended up costing me an additional $300+ the new room had stains on the couch and walls, the closet door was hard to open, I pulled a muscle in my stomach expecting it to open properly and worst of all, the bathroom door lock was broken. Maintenance came to fix it but before doing so offered the advice that I ask the kids to knock before entering. Once “fixed” the door still didn’t lock properly and could be pulled open while the lock was engaged which was extremely uncomfortable as every time I had to use the bathroom I was forced to sit and worry that some of the children would walk in.. which they did several times.. and then breakfast was horrible, the sausage taste like the bottom of a shoe, eggs were like bouncy balls.. it was all horrible so once again I had to spend more money on breakfast for the kids because no one would eat the terrible breakfast they offered. I ended up spending $450 extra just for choosing this hotel for one night. Will NOT return.

    Wonderful stay on the river. Several things were broken (like the rock elevator and the sauna), but we didn't mind that too much. The location was great, the room was great, and the restaurant was EXCELLENT. We would definitely stay again.

    The front desk staff was phenomenal, friendly, and attentive. Everything we needed was easily accessible, making our stay very comfortable and convenient. My only concern was with the kitchen staff, who were not as friendly as I would have expected. However, that was a small issue compared to an otherwise excellent experience. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely choose this property every time I visit my family in Charlotte!

    Facility was clean and as expected. Front desk staff could be alittle more customer service oriented. By that I mean, they could get the next person in line and let them know they'll be right with them as they're finishing up admin task for prior customer. Acknowledge presence. With that being said, they weren't unprofessional or anything, but that's a tidbit to improve service.

    Rooms are also modern. Bathroom needs a night light. Too much aeration with the sink and shower. Bedding, for the sofa bed, was missing from our room. Decent breakfast even though waffles were not offered. Good location and pretty easy to get around.

    The young woman who checked us in on the evening of March 19 was terrific. You could not ask for a better representative both professionally and personally speaking. She should be very proud of how she conducts herself and guests like myself greatly appreciate it. One thing I will add is we did have trouble accessing the internet. We tried many different ways and I thought I followed the front desks instructions but whether signing into Bonvoy or just clicking to access for free, nothing was working so we couldn’t use our IPads that require WiFi. That’s the only constructive thing to mention.

    The room was spacious. We had two queens and a trundle bed/couch. The walk-in closet was a great spot to keep all the clothes and luggage. The beds and pillows were comfortable and it was a quiet night. The black out curtains allowed for extra rest for the kids.

    The first room we were given was not cleaned well at all. It smelled pretty bad too. Unfortunately we were there so late no cleaning staff was available. We ended up waiting in the hallway for the next room to be assigned and for a key to be brought up to us. At a little after 8am we were surprisingly awaken by the fire alarm! After a slight panic and rushing down 4 flights of stairs we were told it was burnt toast in the toaster.

    I stayed for 5 nights. My room wasn't cleaned until night 4. They forgot to clean the sink. The last 2 nights, the people in the room next to me blared their TV all night. I couldn't sleep! I notified the front desk and they said they asked them to turn it down, but nothing changed. Not a restful stay

    I was told at check in that we were required to pay $4 per night to park in their parking lot, which was ridiculous to me. I honestly could not believe that. I proceeded to ask the girl at check in, well, if we don't want to pay the $4 then where would we park our vehicles, She had no answer for me. I will not be staying at this hotel again.

    love that the place is pet friendly however i didn't bring my fur baby as i was there to relax however the room next to ours had two fur babies one sounded small the other large as they barked for over two hours continuously . I reported that id been listening to them yap for hours attendant looked as if she couldn’t care less but thanked me for telling them . We went out to eat trying to get away from the noise 1 1/2 hours later you could still hear them barking from outside . After i realized no one cared but us I went next door and asked if they could try to get the dogs to stop . The family was nice and did do better with the continuous barking . we decided to not stay in the room as much we changed from a relaxing weekend to exploring the area so that we weren't so focused on the barking . Not that this place cares but other hotels could learn to put people with dogs on one corridor as with everyone with dogs maybe will not be disturbed so that people that come for relaxation don't have to be disturbed. Paid a good price for the room to not enjoy it .

    The hotel itself is okay, and the room is clean. I would not stay at this hotel again due to the room layout, and not getting a good nights rest - the whole purpose of staying at a hotel.The pillows were so soft they got almost flat. We layered two and still didn't help. We requested firmer pillows and they seemed to be like the ones we already had in the room? No difference at all. I kept waking up to fluff my pillows. The layout part is the big kicker. It was atrocious. The bathroom door is a sliding door with a frosted glass panel, and the bed is right in front of the bathroom. As we started to get ready, or had to use the bathroom during the night, the light was a nuassance to whoever was sleeping. It was annoying enough even if you were at the sofa bed at the room entrance. It seemed as if other lights were one but it was the bathroom light through the door panel. We asked about switching rooms, and were told they are all the same. The breakfast was subpar and coffee was burnt. I walked to the coffee place 2 min away and police were in the parking due to smashed car windows. This was at 8am. When we checked out at 13pm and left, the glass was still in the parking lot. Not a sense of safety for everyone else leaving or arriving who had otherwise not even known about the incident. I included photos of the room layout.

    Although the front desk rep requested housekeeping service at check in for me and I asked the housekeeper in the hall if she would just remove the trash from the night before and bring clean towels nothing was done after the room was empty for over 4 hrs.     New hotel with modern decorum and room was very clean and ready for use. Beds were comfortable and A/C worked perfectly. Outdoor pool was really nice, minus the temperature due to the recent rain. Towels were provided and linens in the room were nice and big. The walk-in closet was wonderful and very spacious.

    Easily the best hotel in the Charlotte area. Stayed at a few including some of the expensive ones Uptown for a conference. But this one was far and away the best hotel that I stayed at in the North Carolina area. Huge rooms, everything is clean and new. Highly recommend.

    The only thing I would change is the orientation of the bathroom in our room. When traveling with others and you have to share a bathroom, the door is transparent so the light shines through even when you are trying to sleep. Other than that the room was nice and spacious

    Property and staff were nice, however our rooms were not cleaned. Lots of misc. items paper, bottle caps, bandaid wrappers on the floor. We did notify staff, they sent a member to "Look" at it, She determined it did need to be cleaned and said someone would be up shortly. They never arrived. WE did notify them and the next day was told they "cleaned the room instead of a refresh. Bottle caps and bandaid wrappers remained on floor.

    When I first got there, the front desk person was amazing! She was kind and patient. However, the property needs to be maintained. On the elevator, there was broken tile that you could easily trip over, the shower head was barely in the wall and the bathroom door was physically coming off the wall. The bathroom door locked from the inside and I called front desk. I needed to get my soap out the bathroom to check out. After about 20-30 minutes after I called, I went down to the front desk for help because no one showed up, I was given a screwdriver to open the door and was told it happens often due to the doors design. Typically, Marriott’s have a pretty decent breakfast, not here. All you got was paper thin bacon and pre made omelets not made with real eggs. The yogurts were spoiled and the juice machine was broken. Is a great location if you’re going to Carowinds but I probably wouldn’t stay there again.

    The stay was great. The hotel was very clean and the staff very polite and accommodating. There is a parking fee - about $5. In the hotel, sound travels well near the stairs and there were people (kids, maybe?) running up and down the stairs until well after midnight. I sleep heavy, it didn't matter to me. Others heard it though. Breakfast was pretty healthy fare.

    At my stay one of the pillow cases had some many stains on it I couldn’t believe someone would put that pillow case on a pillow I went to the front desk to show the clerk she didn’t care all she did is write what room is was in so she can have someone remove the pillow case no apologies, no sorry for the inconvenience nothing. Normally Springhill Suites are really nice but this one in Charlotte. Southwest is a no go
