Hilton Chicago/Magnificent Mile Suites

I absolutely love that they have an indoor pool. I was there every morning. Working out and swimming as best I could, the kids in the pool were pretty well behaved. Which always helps! Thank you parents! The rooms were spacious but the beds were a little soft, which is why I had to get up and move first thing! Overall, it was a nice hotel stay for a few nights.

The location of the hotel was convenient to many shopping areas. The room was clean. The water is a bit lukewarm despite the attempts that we make it warmer.

The Chapel Street Bar/Cafe in the hotel was wonderful! The service from the bartenders was top notch! The breakfast was really good too!

The hotel staff were friendly, and the rooms were mostly clean; however, the hotel itself is very dated. The tile in the shower is discolored, the sofa bed is extremely thin and miserable to sleep on, and the mattresses are subpar at best. Not to mention the microwave had a broken foot on it which made it tilt causing our food to be heated unevenly, and the refrigerator (despite us adjusting the temperature) kept our drinks, just slightly cooler than room temperature. The walls between rooms are also incredibly thin. Hilton definitely needs to spend some money on upkeep. I know we won’t be back until they do.

There's a little to much noise you can hear between the rooms. Otherwise no complaints at all.

Immaculately clean is totally inadequate to describe how all spaces looked!! And, “I’m here to serve YOU” tone and attitude of the staff was ever present!!!

Fitness facility is very nice with lots of options for cardio and strength-training. The lobby has a wonderful spa-like scent.

The property is an aging up Hilton from the 1990’s. Comfortable, brown and beige and in need of an overhaul. But the pool is rather majestic. Sky high, glass enclosed, well heated and open very early. That goes a long way for me.

It was great to be so close to Michigan Avenue and have walking access to many great places in Chicago. My one problem, though, was the bed. For me, it was too soft. I was able to sleep but I prefer harder bed and this was disappointment. However, the staff and cleanliness were superb.

Beautiful hotel and amazing staff. However, in my first night, I talked housekeeping concierge and front desk when I realized pillows were feather. I'm am terribly allergic . Fell asleep waiting. Noone ever came. Woke with hives and eyes swollen shut. Was corrected the next night. But really ruined my trip. Symptoms still nut fully resolved despite a visit to UC and frequent medicines. Terrible.

So the hotel was very clean and up to date. Check in was smooth and great staff then the issue. Our 2nd night the room next to us started with music and a party at 12:30 am called the front desk and asked for someone to call the room. An Hr later at 1:30am we had to make another call still going. Finally exhausted we fell sleep. Now the 2nd night it gets better 3:30 am the music and smoking weed felt like I got a contact high had enough checked out at 6:30 with the music and party still going. Felt like I was in a motel 6. Told the front clerk to have management to call me. Still have to received any kind of call!!! Hotel doesn’t care about guests!!!!

I can't say enough about this place. 5 stars all the way. The staff was fantastic from the moment we pulled up to check in until the moment we loaded the car to leave. Arriving in our room we were happy to find that there was a separate bedroom area. The view was phenomenal from our 15th floor room. The pool in the top floor also had stunning views. I can't wait to stay here again!!!

They had one parking lot attendant many times with 20 to 30 people waiting on cars to be delivered. Sofa had body fluid on it. It was filthy, the mattress was disgustingly lumpy bad and old. Terrible service at breakfast incompetent waiters and waitresses. I will never stay at that location again and I’m questioning Hilton from this point on.

I was most disappointed by the lack of room service, or any options for delivery of food to the room. The restaurant on the first floor has amazing food, but take-out must be picked up by the guest, rather than it being delivered to the room.

The view was amazing from the 26th floor. It was very clean. Could use a little update. Pullout couch was not comfortable but I didn't have to sleep on it. Very friendly staff. Excellent location for easy commute to all the sites.

Stayed three nights, room was spotless, comfortable, roomy, well-equipped, perfect heating and cooling, quiet. Pool and gym were very nice. Loved the hotel cafe. Valet staff very attentive. Highly recommend

We had a broken outlet to charge our phones. And the valet was not as helpful. They actually lost our vehicle but did eventually find it. The room was incredibly small and our window looked out to slum which was disappointing for paying what we did

The staff was exceptional from the curb to the maintenance staff! The onsite cafe was reasonably price and food was excellent! In room coffee was the best I’ve ever had in a hotel. Room was spacious, well appointed and clean. Beds (even the hid-a-bed were comfortable. Parking was a bit pricey, but it’s Chicago downtown!

Had a great stay! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. The location was perfect, close to everything we wanted to do, with lots of restaurants, shopping, and attractions nearby. It made getting around super easy.

Valet and bellmen were great as always. Polite and helpful. The staff brought up an extra valet for my kids on the pullout couch. Great setup for family with kids! And the restaurant on the corner has the best coffee. We stay here every time we visit, can’t beat location, price and separate space from the kids!

Very friendly and professional staff on all levels. Location in Chicago is second to none. The food in the restaurant was delicious. But it's obvious structure-wise that Hilton has cut corners with cheap room furniture, bathroom had loose and rusted shower head and handle etc. Lamps looked like garage sale items. TV froze constantly on cable. Our floor's elevator button was cracked and broken and reminded me of something a slumlord would ignore...Normally I would look past some of this stuff but when the hotel charges are through the roof I would expect some things different.

The hotel staff is excellent! Very friendly and very helpful. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The only issue I had was the charging ports and electrical sockets next to our bed did not work which made overnight charging of our phones and watches difficult.

To everything we wanted to do. Loved the view of the lake on higher floors. Pool was cute and perfect for kids, we will be back!

This room was a bargain for location. Overall the room was nice we were celebrating our honeymoon. Staff was excellent very nice and helpful. Parking was convenient we parked in the ramp across the street it was $62 per day in and out. The room itself overall could have been better. We booked a suite and the furnishings were uncomfortable such as the couch and pillows were very used. Bed and bedding were very subpar bed was low and a bit uncomfortable mattress was basic. We were there for 3 nights and we had lukewarm water to bathe in each night. Called the front desk and they said the pipes were old and we needed to run the sink water on hot in the bathroom to draw the hot water to the shower. That worked temporarily but the water never got hot hot and you had about 12min until it started to run cold. This was my second time in this hotel and while overall I consider it an economical choice I likely wouldn’t book again for my stay.

It’s really good

We had a suite, I.e. living room, bedroom, bathroom, which was very nice. For breakfast one morning we had a quiche with a small salad which was delicious. One of the elevators did not move, very minor touchups in the bathroom would have been desirable. Read the instructions for the coffee machine in the kitchen, it is easy to make a mistake when operating it

I had a reservation at Hilton Chicago/Magnificent Mile Suites, but shortly before my stay, I was diagnosed with COVID-19 and was physically unable to travel or check in. Due to my condition and recovery, I unfortunately missed the cancellation window. I fully explained the situation to the hotel, sincerely apologized, and even offered to provide medical documentation. However, despite the exceptional circumstances, the hotel refused any flexibility whatsoever — no partial refund, no future stay credit, and no goodwill consideration. I understand cancellation policies exist, but I expected at least some level of empathy and customer care for a genuine medical emergency. The response felt very rigid and indifferent. This experience left a very negative impression, and unfortunately I cannot recommend this hotel based on how they handled the situation.

Walking distance, to many cool places! The, card issues, for the rooms. Don't work sometimes with , the elevators. A few guests complained about this, including me. But, loved this place, maybe I would come again.....price depending!

You had to run the shower, the bathroom faucet, and the one in the room to get the hot water to turn on. The toilets throughout the hotel did not flush well. We had to call maintenance multiple times to.plunge the toilet and the toilet in the lobby had to be flushed multiple times just for tissue to go down for a number 1. The staff was definitely friendly and that was a plus and only plus.

I booked a reservation in February 2026. I was to pay at the property however the day of my arrival, I received an email that my hotel room was canceled. I spoke to three different people regarding my reservation. I also let them know I had a friend traveling from another state who was to be checking . I was told they were sorry and no one at Expedia bothered to contact me if there was any type of issue. I was able to find another hotel that was extremely accommodating and empathetic to this unfortunate and unprofessional experience.

I don’t understand the excellent reviews at this hotel. The hotel was in a great location. However the room was very dated and smelled of mildew and mold. Shower was filthy. Furniture was falling apart. Would not stay here again.

The property was a bit dated, but the location made up for it. The room was spacious and the air conditioner worked perfectly!

Outdated for a hilton seemed old and dingy. Rooms had no proper ac. The lighting was poor. The bathroom was small, the shampoos were emoty poor attention to detail. I would soend my money elsewhere. Location was ok if your shopping. The restaurant was good but it is independently owned.

I’m paying just as much as the next guest, to be hit with such a stupid response. If I was interested in the occupancy of the hotel I would ask for a job in their front office. What I cared about was sleeping. To be told “we are almost sold out” is ridiculous when I’m telling you I couldn’t sleep the night prior. No inquiry of how the stay could be improved and still charged for a late check out of an hour. Overall, very disappointing stay

My husband and I loved staying at this property. The facility was clean and comfortable. The staff were nice and caring. I particularly loved how they handed us a couple of water bottles upon our arrival and departure. I am planning on going there again the next time I visit the city of Chicago.

The location is perfect, convenient and close to everything you need. My room was clean, comfortable, and had a truly luxurious feel. I would definitely stay here again!

The property is very clean and staff is wonderful and responsive. The property is starting to show its age some. Shower head sprayed all over the bathroom and handle fell off the bathroom sink. Staff immediately fixed the sink handle, but we had to tie a wash cloth around the back of the shower head to keep it from soaking the floor and toilet, including the toilet paper.

Everything was nice but they didn’t have complimentary breakfast and their deposit fee is 300. Insane amount. Parking is also charged by the hour, and the price was for a night of parking was outrageous

Our room was not clean and there was barely enough toilet paper. We came there to celebrate our Son’s 12th Birthday, and on the first night we missed our dinner reservations because valet had us waiting for over 45min and he had been looking forward to this restaurant all year smh and we weren’t able to rebook because they were already booked up! The microwave did not work and the bathroom was filthy. The neighbors kept trying to gain access to our connecting room which really made us all feel unsafe. I’m never coming back and feel we were ripped off and our poor son ultimately paid the price with all my efforts being in vain! I am highly upset and disgusted!

The rooms are dated, but ours separated the king sized “bedroom” from the living area where the pull out bed resided and was perfect for our mom! Overall the rooms were dark, quiet, and bed / pillows were super comfy!

The room was overheated and I could not turn the air system off. I put it on 60 and whether it was AC or heat (my options), the room was always at least 75 but I was able to open a window beside my bed which helped.

My only call out would be that the pool is outdated, could use some TLC. But otherwise, a great stay overall, kids enjoyed themselves!

Only 2 elevators worked and the hotel was full so we had to take the stairs a couple times and there is no clear indication of how to use them. That is dangerous!

The hotel staff was beyond exceptional. The room wasn't opulent, but very nice, exactly as described, and VERY comfortable. The location was great for US, because of what we were there to do. Other locations may be preferable to other travelers depending on what their needs are, but this Hilton has fantastic valet and concierge staff, and is close to excellent restaurants, and close enough to mass transit to reach anywhere in the city easily. Any complaint would be nitpicking, because we got more than we expected.

The room was extremely hot. I asked staff what I could do. They stated only the heat was on in the building so they suggested to shut off the heat completely and open the windows. There were no screens on the windows so we had to just hope no bugs got in.

when i went to the front desk to ask for plates, the person at the front desk had an attitude because i requested 10 plates. he was more concerned as to why i needed 10 plates if only 5 people were allowed in the room. i had to take time to clarify that we had 2 rooms and were eating dinner together in 1 room.

Firstly I double booked my stay & was told that I could get a refund in which I DID NOT! I was given the run around for multiple days so I ended up keeping the reservation although I no longer wanted it. Also I had my 2 month old child with me in which they only had play pin beds available for her and it was entirely too big! Lastly when I came to check in they claimed they did not accept the card I was trying to use for check in which help up my check in process! Overall the hotel and room itself was nice but I am likely NEVER staying at this hotel ever again!

The shower floods into the bathroom floor into the living room carpet every time the shower is on. I had to lay all the extra towels on the floor.

Everything was excellent but a lot of the plugs in the room did not work. They were too loose, from things being pulled out of them. Staff did offer to have someone take a look but it was while we were out of the room and our purses were in there.

I had a fantastic stay at the Hilton Chicago/Magnificent Mile Suites! The customer service was phenomenal, a huge thank you to Tia and the manager for being extremely accommodating and quickly resolving any issues. I also received great service from Christian, the maintenance and housekeeping teams, and the cafe staff. My room was beautiful with an excellent view, and the location is perfect; so many attractions were within walking distance or just a short drive away. Highly recommend!

Worst customer service ive ever experienced. They had an attitude when i called to explain the pool was closed even though i specifically called to ask if it was open before booking. Microwave didnt work. The elevator stopped at the floor and then dropped two floors on me and a lady which scared both of us. The door for the room was not flush and wouldnt close all the way. This place is not cheap, you would think its a great hotel but its actually pretty terrible

The hotel was good but it could’ve been a bit cleaner. I had a bit of a musty smell, the toilet had a permanent stain and it was very dusty. I reached out to the front desk about the smell and they came to freshen up the room. The service and location are a big plus so I would probably stay again.

Rooms need updating. Beds were not comfortable as well as sofa bed, you could feel the metal frame. The pillows were flat, bathroom had signs of termites.

We had a handicap room because my husband had a handicap. The floor in the shower is not properly sloped and it flooded the bathroom and the staff was not properly responsive. We were not able to take a shower.

Me and my family came here for a one night stay, on the very first night of the stay 2 of my DoorDash orders came up missing. When I asked the staff what is their policy for drop off items

Amazing stay! The hotel was very clean and smelled so good. Our rooms were well kept. Slight plumbing issue with the shower was resolved right away by maintenance staff. The breakfast vouchers ($60 per guest) allowed us to have a wonderful and delicious selection of food to choose from at the Chapel street cafe which is inside the hotel lobby. The pool wasn’t open and was still being repaired, that was a bummer, however the gym was nice. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating, we had a very nice trip to Chicago to visit family.

Hotel is very convenient for shopping. I found it very difficult to get in/out of the hotel carrying luggage and pushing a stroller. The buttons to open/shut the doors were not working. The valet right outside never looked up or offered any assistance. The room was nice- nothing fancy but clean. I did mention to the front desk that the light switch in the bathroom sounded like it was shorting out and the bathroom light would flicker in/off. For an overnight stay it was okay, but I probably would not pick this hotel again on my next trip.

The lake view for my guest was not a lake view. More like a lake peek. The carpeting was old and wore (it looked filthy). The toilet was very low. -there was a draft near the bed close to the window. -I asked the front desk for water bottles a someone by the name of Damazo said he’d have those up right away. I didn’t get the water til almost 2hrs later -the toilet made a very loud noise after flushing, the noise would last about 30-40seconds, it was very annoying Other than that the hotel location and ambiance was great!

It was ok. We normally stay at the Hyatt, but chose this one as it’s closer to stores and we weren’t sure how walking would be with the weather. The room smelt very stale and almost sour. The material of the couch was awful it was so rough and itchy. There were stains on the bedside lamp shades. Our sheet had stains on it. Definitely won’t be staying here again, and will continue with our good faithful Hyatt in Chicago.

Location was great, but I'm starting to realized that bookings through sites like Expedia means we get a "crappy" room! We were on 8th floor and the noise from the fans right below us were unbelievably loud. We had to put the fan on high all night just to drown out the sound. The hotel itself is responsible for the cleanliness. We had poop splattered on the inside of the toilet and some type of rusty stain on the sheet. Maybe booking directly withe hotel would've resulted in a better room ?

I love the big asize of the room. The bed was comfortable. The room temperature was warm and pleasant even as it snowed outside the windows. The only downside would be when I went to watch the Sunday night Bears and Packers football game down at the bar. The young and bearded bartender swore like a drunken sailor. A huge turn off and certainly not meeting what I would expect to be a Hilton property standard of language behavior. After having one beer, I had to leave. I couldn’t sit there and listen to the bartender swear like that while thinking it was cool to use such language with the younger people at the bar.

Stay: The room was a bit worn (worn out chair arms, frayed, strings coming out, knocked/scratched furniture, paint peeling off bottom of bathroom doors) a few things broken (soap dish corners missing, vanity light). Despite the wear, the room was clean, plenty of towels and pillows, bed was very comfortable. quiet hotel, convenient location, staff friendly. Departure: Valet to leave was frustrating. Auto ticket system indicated standard 20 minutes but it took a SOLID hour to get the car. Timing was extremely important this trip, so accurate information would have helped. Sadly, No one at valet or front desk could provide an update, other than it was coming. Overall would stay again for the comfy beds and cleanliness, but would order the car an hour early every time.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Chicago. The room was clean and the staff was very nice. Housekeeping came and cleaned our room each morning which was amazing. We sat at the bar a few times during our stay and the drinks were great. We made it the hotel at 10 am and were allowed to check in early. We only had one issue with our key opening the room door and I honestly think we were not holding the keycard correctly toward the censor. However, we went to the check-in area and they switched the keys out immediately. Anytime we’re in Chicago, this will be our go to hotel.

Overall good. Rooms were a bit outdated and the beds are small for two adults. For a family of 5 our options are limited so this gave everyone a bed space. Lighting in the bedroom area was two small lights at the bedside and one didn't work. I told the staff twice but we were only there 2 nights so it didn't get fixed.

Overall great experience but wasn’t very modern. Bathroom was rusty but water was hot. Staff was nice and provided extra water. View was horrible looking at the window. Couldn’t use my Hilton rewards at this particular hotel. Has a nice vibrant bar/restaurant that was packed with people, met some new friends! Staff cleaned the room everyday which was nice. My only con is the bathroom they need to renovate the bathroom.

Clean but Outdated, very noisy at night. We called the front desk office. There were a bunch of kids in the next-door room, the walls apparently a paper thin - You could hear them all night, long screaming, and yelling past 1 AM.

The staff was very nice and friendly. However, the room had a strong smell of smoke. As a non-smoker, it was quite unpleasant. I’m not sure if the odor was coming from the carpet or if a previous guest had recently smoked in the room.

To begin check in was ok. I sent my parents for their birthday trip and I received a call as they walked in their room as it smelled like cigarettes. It was embarrassing as I wanted them to bring their birthday in relaxed. I did call the front desk to find out nobody assessed the situation. I let it go the next day the lady did clean good it didn’t smell as bad. While being in the shower there was no conditioner I called the front desk for conditioner and towels. We did get conditioner but no extra towels. Later more family arrived we had a total of 6 rooms three in which resulted in being infested with roaches and spiders. We went to try to eat at the restaurant downstairs where the owner gave many excuses as to why he could not accommodate us. Very unpleased with the entire situation.
