Reviews
Guests generally have a positive experience at this hotel, appreciating its central location and friendly staff. However, some express dissatisfaction with hidden fees and the cleanliness of rooms.
- Central location

- Hidden fees
- Cleanliness issues in some rooms

During my stay the breakfast area was closed for a day, a little inconvenient but not tragic. On the whole good place to stay.

Great location
- 5/5
Great location. Within walking distance of shops, river tours and restaurants. Super safe area for walking, easy access to bus, taxi and train. Very friendly staff.
- 3/5
Overall it was a nice stay, very clean. The rooms are very average for the price you are paying. There is also a $30/day charge on top of your price for basically no reason that you do not get refunded. No complimentary breakfast or coffee. Only valet parking on site which is almost $100/night. There is a parking garage across the street you can park in for much cheaper. The location for downtown Chicago/mag mile is very good, within walking distance to any shop or restaurant. Area it is in is very nice and clean.

Great location, staff was helpful and non invasive! Would go back 100%

- 4/5
great location and good staff with positive attitudes
- 5/5
Great location, great hotel staff and the rooms have great views. Everything you need is in walking distance!
- 5/5
Stay was amazing, local to everything
- 3/5
Rooms were small and outdated, nice location but overpriced for amenities.
- 2/5
The hostess assisting us during check-in was quite rude and almost sarcastic when I inquired about the reservation details. She was not very helpful when I attempted to use my credit card; the card reader wasn't working, and she seemed hesitant to manually enter the numbers. Additionally, the beds were squeaky, and the sheets appeared worn and crumpled, suggesting they had been used frequently and were made of low-quality material.
- 5/5
The location is wonderful. Because have a lot restaurants and the oak beach near to the hotel.
- 5/5
Exceptional

I was charged for something new everyday. When I booked, my total was calculated but when I checked out it was way more than expected. We only charged the room once! When we asked what the extra charges were for we were told they were holds and will be returned to my card after checkout, they have not been returned! Just beware… lots of extra fees.

Room service - a joke
- 4/5
The resort fee went up to 30 and the credit went down to 15$ . Worse rip off.
- 5/5
It was very nice!! Staff were very helpful and friendly.
- 1/5
They will scam you with valet parking offers. Inexperienced staff and manager
- 4/5
Lamps had bulbs burned out and TV did not always work.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and good value
- 2/5
Dated rooms and bad service.
- 4/5
This is a very nice place. The staff was helpful and friendly. Old fashioned hotel coffee maker in the room makes bad coffee. There is a Starbucks in the lobby that is horribly understaffed.

The staff at the Westin on 900 north Michigan Avenue were super professional check in was fast and nice upgrade
- 2/5
Nice facilty with the worst service I have ever encountered in what was supposed to be an upscale hotel. I didn’t expect four seasons service but this was like a motel you can pay be the hour. The doormen were the only staff who cared about guests.
- 5/5
always very good Walk in

I spoke to front desk about my complaints and was told that my Hospitality Fee would be waived. That did not happen, I was still charged and have not gotten a call back from Management after calling multiple times. The facility is beautiful but staff is lacking In consistency of service. I do not recommend.
- 5/5
It was amazing stay the location was perfect. The bar and room clean safe . The staff is friendly on point. The door man friendly and informative on the city where to go to enjoy the Chicago lifestyle. I’m booking here again the hotel with Expedia.
- 4/5
The location Everything was good
- 4/5
Room had connecting door and we heard EVERYTHING that the people on the other side of the door said/did. Also, explaining what the special destination charge benefits were would have helped as we missed using them the first day.

I’m getting tired of these fees - resort fees!! Tell me the price - don’t add on when I arrive
- 5/5
Overall a beautiful hotel, the lobby looks and smells wonderful, the front desk employees were incredibly nice, and the view from the room was great! This was the second time we’ve stayed at this hotel and it’s one of the best in Chicago, especially for the price! The only complaints I have is the vallet is pricey at 89$ but it is super nice to just drop off the car and not have to worry and the breakfast is fantastic but INCREDIBLELY expensive (~100$ for two adults) so I recommend just going somewhere else for breakfast! 9/10 hotel!
- 5/5
Great hotel but shabby inside
- 5/5
Lovely and spacious room w/ a view of the lake (this was a King, not the traditional King). Staff very helpful and always friendly. Location perfect.
- 5/5
Limpio y en buen estado las habitaciones muy buena ubicación y servicio muy bueno
- 3/5
Was very disappointed in the extra charges that they charge you 35 a day extra destination fee smh then they want you to pay for Wi-Fi. I do not recommend that place. Yes it was very nice. $83 valet parking. They are ridiculous.
- 4/5
The hotel was nice overall and had a wonderful location but the rooms seem a little outdated.

- 3.5/5
The location was good to the things we were doing. We paid for a certain room and they downgraded us. Once I seen our rooms, went down and told them. After 10 minutes of waiting, they gave us the proper rooms. Our bathroom door handle didn't work either.
- 5/5
Location was great. Walking distance to everything
- 5/5
The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious and well maintained.
- 1/5
I stayed here while visiting Chicago. The location was nice, but be prepared—they charge for almost everything and taxes add up quickly. The room was pretty small, which wasn’t ideal. The room itself was clean overall, but the mirrors weren’t properly cleaned. It wasn’t a bad stay, just a bit overpriced for what you get.
- 3/5
mattresses needs to be replaced

also, I asked for a feather pillow and was told that they hotel only had foam pillows.

Ate in the hotel restaurant. Very good food and good service
- 2.5/5
The staff was fantastic. Everyone we interacted with was wonderfully warm and friendly. Especially the waiter in the restaurant Friday morning. The best! The room temp was too high and didn't seem to be adjustable without assistance. The TV remote also barely worked. It took incredible effort and patience to get any button press to be recognized.

Staff are very helpful and accommodating, there were a few problems which they put right fairly quickly. Great bar/restaurant much better than the usual hotel bar.
- 4/5
Very good
- 5/5
The staff was very welcoming and professional. I ordered room service and of course it was sky high.
- 5/5
Room was spotless, staff helpful, professional, extremely nice. I can't say enough good things about my stay!
- 2/5
Upon check-in, the staff was friendly. This is a return visit to the property, which is ideally located and was nice last time we stayed. The room itself was quite warm. I called the front desk and asked them why I couldn't adjust my thermostat in the room and was told "I'll call engineering and have them adjust it". 30 minutes later, no change, so I called back. "Oh yes, I meant to call you back. Engineering says the 'chiller' isn't working because we're in-between seasons, so we can't adjust it cooler. We can bring you a box fan." For a hotel room in this price range in downtown Chicago? Unacceptable. The rest of the room was run down. Outlets on the wall were loose. The floor lamp base was broken, so it leaned way over the bed. The desk chair was worn and tattered. The bathroom had rust spots coming through the wall coverings, and the paint was peeling over the tub. Just general upkeep was poor. The room was clean. I let Marriott know that my experience was poor, and they immediately replied with "Oh, well since you booked with Expedia, we can't do anything. You'll have to bring it up with them." Seriously? I'm guessing Expedia can't do anything to credit me for a below par experience, so I'm forced to review the property to let others know. I'm going back to the Intercontinental on the other end of Michigan Ave. next time.
- 3/5
They charge you a $35 destination fee thats supposed to include tickets to the art museum but when i asked they said they didn't have updated tickets. I think they should have to refund the destination fee if the things offered arent even available, seems like false advertising. Hotel was nice, quiet and convenient location to a lot of stuff on magnificent mile. Would stay again.

- 4/5
Shops outside of the Hotel were near by. The room was ok but very dusty. Never was showed where the Spa was. The checking in was good, but throughout our stay not once did the staff acknowledged us no Hi no smile was kind of surprised because normally that’s what hotel staffs do is acknowledged the guests not even the doorman. Had a situation with elevator we got stuck in it no one came to help us luckily the door opened and we were able to get out right away there was a lady at the desk as we came out my daughter explained to her what happened she was just like “oh ok”and asked if we were ok my daughter told her no “I think my mom is having a panic attack “I have never experienced a panic attack so I wasn’t sure if that’s what I was experiencing but if it was it was a terrible feeling. She just offered a bottle of water but didn’t asked if she needed to get help for us nothing. I wasn’t expecting special treatment but at least some sort of compassion. As for our checking out was a good experience the staff that was on were so bubbly and just happy people they checked us out and for the 1st time since our 6 days stay were told “thank you for staying with us and have a great day” Wow I told my daughter a good greeting on our last day OK we’ll take it. I don’t know about staying here our next trip to Chicago but it is very convenient to everything. 😉

Room was very good.Unfortunately it was cold.Did share at desk and they ask their engineers to adjust. Not able to adjust in the room?
- 4/5
Room was gorgeous and staff very kind.
- 5/5
Clean and quiet room and a very comfortable bed. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
Everything was good. Nice room, great view, staff always nice and helpful, fantastic location. My only issue was to see the “hold” ob my credit card increase after the first day and now dealing with reversing the “holds”, which are not actually that but just debits on my card, after a day of leaving.
- 5/5
Wonderful
- 5/5
Clean rooms
- 5/5
Great place to stay. Close to attractions. Great price. Great room. Friendly staff!!!
- 3/5
The 30 dollar a day resort fee was a rip off! Hair dryer did not work. I declined Maid service but received no reward as I have in other hotels. Place is looking shabby and decor dated.
- 4/5
Dated
- 3/5
Rooms are outdated and rooms are run down
- 5/5
Great location. Easy to walk along the Magnificent Mile. Rooms were clean and staff very friendly and helpful
- 5/5

Friendly staff, clean room, welcomed my doggie, great location.
- 5/5
All perfect!

The housekeeping staff are rude and aggressive constantly entering rooms even with the Do Not Disturb sign on. They are loud and not respect guest privacy. Will not be staying here again.
- 4/5
It was good overall
- 5/5
Great stay
- 4/5
Staff was not very nice
- 4/5
Staff was very accommodating and professional.
- 1/5
The biggest issue was the hidden fees that were never clearly disclosed in the stay description or explained during booking or check-in. What initially appeared to be an $800 stay nearly doubled once all the additional charges were added. We were charged for multiple unnecessary items and services, including being charged just to watch TV, which is unreasonable and not something you expect when booking a room. These extra charges felt excessive, misleading, and poorly communicated. At no point were we properly informed or given a clear breakdown of what these fees were for or why they were mandatory. This lack of transparency made the experience frustrating and stressful, as we constantly felt like we were being nickel-and-dimed. While the room itself was fine, the value was completely overshadowed by the unexpected costs. Because of the hidden fees and poor communication, the stay was not worth the price we ended up being charged. I would not recommend staying here unless all fees are clearly disclosed upfront and explained in advance.
- 5/5
Have stayed here a couple times, always very nice. Staff is great, nice bar scene, close to everything on Michigan Ave.
- 2/5
The tv did not work
- 5/5
The staff is so friendly the room very comfortable and the location is great

- 5/5
It was ok
- 4/5
It was clean
- 5/5
Excellent hotel with great service and wonderful location
- 5/5
We love it there! The best
- 3/5
It was a busy fun weekend…but a dirty bathroom mirror, clothes from the previous guest hanging in my closet, and the hidden $30 “resort charge” at check in after we already paid Expedia was annoying.
- 3/5
Staff at the reception
- 3/5
Clean room. Bed not up to Westin quality staff ok
- 5/5
everything was excellent
- 4/5
Sufficient for our stay and a reasonable cost.
- 2/5
No TV working or Internet service, both requiring engineers in our room for an hour each. Token amount of points as compensation. This Hotel has definitely lost a step or two in quality as well
- 5/5
Great staff. Great location.
- 5/5
Just slept there overnight.
- 3/5
The resort fee is ridiculous! No pool, no nothing!
- 5/5
Room was clean and staff was good
- 4/5
Great location and staff was very accommodating. Rooms were on the small side.
- 5/5
I didn’t have breakfast. Just coffee from the Starbucks kiosk.
- 4/5
Would stay again
- 4/5
Great location, clean hotel
- 5/5
Loved it! Fabulous room. Amaaaaazing view. Perfect stay.
- 5/5
Great trip! Will stay again.
- 2/5
Started at Westin since my experience was always this was a higher end hotel. This hotel was tires. Dates, tires and just gross inside. Old tile, 90s decor and generally just not nice. Room service consisted of bringing food in paper bags. Just not worth the money.
- 5/5
location to everything
- 5/5
Excellent staff all around. I will return.
- 2/5
We were overcharged so check your bill for double taxes and double resort fees - beware! The hotel charges $25 per day on top of charging you to stay there. We were given access to a Club Lounge as we were staying for 7 nights and had nothing included other than the room, but honestly the lounge is not somewhere you’d want to eat breakfast, drink the coffee or spend any time. Some of the staff there are absolutely lovely though. The rooms have literally no creature comforts in them. Empty fridge, coffee machine but no milk, no spoons and just paper cups, there’s also no vanity kit just soap in the bathroom…. Also a seemingly small thing but every guest remarked how annoying the lifts are! Everyone has to race to one tiny touch pad in the corner of the lift to input their floor before it shoots up. When you have 8 people in a lift it’s just frustrating. Overall I’d say this is a poor experience from the Westin. Most of the staff are trying their hardest to give guests a nice experience but the hotel is so old and tired and the Westin appears to have cut costs on some basic comforts you expect from a top hotel - especially one that charges us over $3,000 for one week!!
- 4/5
Hotel in great location, would stay again
- 5/5
Everything is EXCELLENT. But don’t consider the hotel for breakfast lunch or dinner
- 5/5
The hotel was great! Location was ideal and our room was spacious.
- 2/5
The hotel needs a renovation to be charging those prices as if it was a brand new Westin Hotel.
- 3/5
There was a stain on our comforter and we let them know and put it outside. It was never replaced even when they “cleaned” the room. When they “cleaned” the room the bed was not remade just blankets straightened and pillows on the floor. The air conditioner didn’t stay on so it was warm and stuffy in the room.
- 2/5
Coming from Canada, we expected our 6 nights stay in the Chicago Magnificent Mile Westin to be equally good, if not better—but it felt only a notch above a motel. The hallways had an unpleasant odor, unclean, smelly carpeting, and clearly needed upgrading. Basic amenities like a tea kettle was missing, cofee machine was located in the washroom (!), and housekeeping service was inattentive. The toiletries were of poor quality, and despite our room overlooking rooftops, it was priced the same as rooms with much better views. Overall, a disappointing experience that didn’t live up to the Westin name.
- 4/5
Clean room. Early check in. Good location. Bathroom is outdated. Water pressure not great.
- 5/5
One bad part -drain in tub very slow. Called to fix it but even afterwards still slow. Also room was not cleaned one day, had to call to get it done.
- 5/5
I woke up this morning with terrible vertigo, but that wasn't your fault. I left my hat in the dining room, and it was there the next morning.
- 1/5
They give our room key to strangers and at one o'clock in the night, when we went back to our room and open the door we found two people inside.
- 4/5
The city view rooms are great. Even though the hotel is in a busy area, the street it’s on is fairly quiet and has little traffic going through it. The hotel is conveniently placed and everything was walking distance. They also offered a credit for any service upon arrival along with free excursion activities. The only thing I’d change is having a microwave in the room so I didn’t waste as much food.
- 5/5
Great location and wonderful staff
- 5/5
Todo excelente, si pudieran cambiar las regaderas estaría mejor.
- 5/5
It was very clean.
- 2/5
Staff was wonderful across the board. Issues were with the mattress and a maintenance issue with the shower drain. The mattress was very different than at other Westin properties and did not have a heavenly bed feel and nor did the pillows. Not sure if other rooms have been updated / refreshed, but ours was very dated and likely needs to be fully refurbished. The drain issue was addressed same day which was appreciated, but really should not have been something that occurred and for a guest to discover. Location is good for shopping, some museums, some touristy attractions, but there are likely other locations to stay in the general area with more activities in a shorter walk. Would stay again if we have a need in this area and could be guranteed best in class bedding.
- 4/5
Location was why we liked the hotel. The staff and service was subpar.
- 5/5
Short walk to Lakeshore Drive and many bars/restaurants. Be mindful that you will be charged $25 resort fee per day. However, this is redeemed by availing of bar or restaurant on location.
- 4/5
Lovely time. Facility needs updates.
- 4/5
I liked the location
- 5/5
I always stay either at this Westin or at the W when I come to Chicago. This is the best area of the City in my opinion. Lots of dining and shopping options, bars, etc. I always feel at home here. Definitely recommend.
- 5/5
Top notch, as always. This hotel never disappoints
- 4/5
I enjoyed my stay as the location is convenient and the rooms were clean and the bed super comfortable. My only complaint is that my robe that was hanging for my use was soiled and there was no grab bar in the bath/shower. People should be aware that if they need grab bars, they should a room with accessibility. These should be standard (and i believe code) so this downgraded my rating.
- 5/5
Renaldo was a wonderful bell desk person. Very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Great hotel. Would be nice to have a map of first floor dining options and hours open.
- 5/5
The staff were very helpful and friendly. There wasn't an underground station close to hotel
- 4/5
Good location and good service
- 1/5
Had a terrible time at this hotel. The A/C didn't work well at all and we were incredibly hot even when it was just 70 degrees outside. The check-in process took over an hour even though it was 8:30pm on a Wednesday, the lines were so long and the support staff was limited. The room itself smelled so awful, it was like something was dead in there. The A/C was unable to go to normal levels so we sweat throughout the night. The worst part was that a housekeeper tried to enter our room without knocking or announcing she was entering, and this is while we were getting dressed in the morning. Overall, I was really unhappy with our stay and would advise people to not go here.
- 5/5
The hotel is very well located, the views are beautiful, service was very good. An excellent choice. They did not make our requested wake up call, but it happens more than enough to not trust any hotel wake up service to happen.
- 4/5
Great location
- 4/5
Great location. Room was not clean. Hairs in the bathroom. Bedding stained or dirty.
- 5/5
I would highly recommend the Westin Michigan Ave. It’s the perfect location. You can look out your window at the iconic Hancock building. Great shopping around. A lot of tours pick up right there at Water Tower place. On a little bit of a side street for easier taxi/uber pick up/drop off. Highly recommend.
- 4/5
Room needed to get colder
- 3/5
Where was the microwave? What was the Wifi password. Where could i have gotten utensils. MY TV didnt work neither did the lights in the room. Bare minimum stay no real accommodations.
- 4/5
Just a thought
- 5/5
Loved the location.
- 4/5
The ‘resort fee’ was explained at checkin. Nice to get some of it back as free Starbucks coffee or drinks but this resort fee is a scam and feels like way to get more money for nothing. Read the fine print as you book. It is not a resort with resort amenities.
- 5/5
Great place
- 5/5
From the check-in (with Jackson) to check out with the great lady (didn’t ask her name) and throughout our 5 nights stay, this place was phenomenal. Thanks for making our stay memorable. Two thumbs up.
- 4/5
Watch out for the resort fee of $30
- 5/5
Loved this property
- 5/5
Love the property and location

- 5/5
Comfortable bed. Great location
- 4/5
Excellent staff, great location. Walking distance to shops, dining, etc. Room was fine, some furniture was tired. Overall, great location and value. Would stay again😊
- 1/5
They also could have communicated with me earlier to let me know and not when I checked in at 10:30pm at night.
- 5/5
The Westin is our favorite hotel when visiting Chicago. We truly appreciate the service, location and value it provides.
- 5/5
When we arrived, there was no remote for the TV in the room and the television was on. A quick call to room service and someone brought the remote up within minutes. Otherwise, the room was clean and comfortable, and even a great view. This time we had a city view last time we had a lake view they’re all great. When we checked in, I mentioned it was our 35th anniversary. The manager gave us two free drink tickets. We will definitely stay here again in fact, we just booked a night in November at the Westin and we often recommend it to many of our friends.
- 4/5
Great location, professional staff and clean.
- 5/5
Hotel was very crowded when we checked in on a Thursday night. There was basket ball tournaments going on. The location was perfect for all we wanted to do. 360 observation deck right across the street. Had a great time
- 5/5
Location was great - so many things (food, shopping, dining, sightseeing) in walking distance! And the staff was wonderful.
- 2/5
We usually stay at another property further south on Michigan Ave., but I decided to try the Westin all the way north. The Website says there is no parking at the hotel, so we had to park across the street at the Hancock Tower parking garage. It's a bit of a hassle, as you have to take two different elevators and pay via machine (one was out of order). The Westin itself...staff was friendly at check-in. The room smelled like a pet room that had been sprayed with deodorizer to cover it up (but it didn't). My daughter, who is allergic to cats, said her eyes were itching shortly after we got in the room. Other things...there were what appeared to be blood stains on the floor by my bed, in addition to white stains on my bed's headboard (don't want to know what those were...). Pretty gross. The toilet paper holder in the bathroom was broken, and the roll kept falling off. The toilet seat wouldn't stay up by itself (had to hold it). The shower head was one of those "rainfall" types, but it was clogged, so we had to use the handheld sprayer as the shower head. The T.V. remote was worn out, so you had to push each button really, really hard and aim it perfectly at the T.V. The HVAC control panel was cumbersome, and we had to hit multiple buttons multiple times to change any setting. Regardless of temperature, the room always felt kind of humid. My daughter put a pillow on the sitting chair in the room because of the stains on the cushion. It's not a great property. We won't return.
- 1/5
Arrived at 5:30. Told there were no clean rooms. I had to wait to check in. No apologies. Only housekeeping was to blame and being sold out. I had dinner reservations Had to go to dinner in the clothes I’d been traveling in all day. But I did get a drink ticket out of the deal. That I couldn’t use.
- 4/5
We are return customers to Westin. For the most part the stay was fine. However, we were very disappointed in the lack of cleanliness of our room. Even after a request for cleaning, the most that was ever done was making of the bed and emptying the trash. The toilet was not clean upon our arrival and was never cleaned, nor was the sink wiped down during our entire stay. I had to do this myself.
- 5/5
The views were spectacular!
- 5/5
Great hotel! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Bed was wonderful!
- 5/5
It was great
- 5/5
Friendly staff who strived to make our stay a pleasant experience.
- 5/5
Clean hotel, friendly people. Allowed early check in.
- 5/5
Great location!
- 5/5
The staff was easy to work with and the property was clean. There was a horrible incident a few blocks away , however, it didn’t affect my stay.
- 4/5
Very nice place to stay great location
- 4/5
The stay was just OK although the hotel good location and looked nice from the outside. The check-in staff was not very friendly or accommodating in anyway this was my first trip to Chicago and it was a quick overnight to watch the Cubs game with a friend. The room was small and we could not get it to cool down. There were no real amenities in the room. It was no different than a Holiday Inn or Hampton Inn so for the price it’s really not worth it. We checked in after the game and asked the staff if there was anywhere we could get dessert and the answer was no they had no suggestions for us. I asked him if the room had a nice view and they said “if you like, looking at the street”.

I could not get internet and then was charged for internet when it was supposed to be included in the resort fee. Lines to talk to staff were always long and at times the staff was chit chatting while people were waiting in line.

I hd an awesome 5 night stay, the front desk staff was excellent. The dinning credit was very useful and the food was delicious. The location was amazing, for shopping, attractions and plenty of restaurants close by or walking distance. I will definitely return to Chicago and stay at the Westin on North Michigan Ave and Delaware because it was so much to do and see, just didn't have enough time to experience it all.

The staff were great, friendly and helpful! The area was great for walking to the lake, shopping. The only thing that was a disappointment, was that the bed was not very comfortable.

I was booked from Friday till Monday yet left Sunday afternoon to return to all my belongings missing from my room. Was told housekeeping must have thought I checked out. No one seemed to take it serious and I had to continue to go down to ask to speak to someone just to be told they would do a report yet never gave me the claim number. I emailed corporate and have not heard anything yet.

Great staff- very nice bar and restaurant on site.

Recommend telling people about the “mandatory”destination fee or at least recommend they read the little card in the room key envelope. We were unaware of the fee or what comes with it. We had to pay it but lost out on the free food drinks and activities that come with it.

Ok. Annoyed by the extra site charges as well as $84 parking

I stayed here while attending a wedding in another hotel. The staff were lovely and the hotel the room was well presented, clean and quiet. No issues at all.

Beautiful hotel!! Rooms, spacious, clean and comfortable.Friendly staff. Great customer service. One particular employee April went over n beyond with customer service. Great representation for the Westin! We came in for my nephews birthday and enjoyed Chicago, everyone we met were friendly.

TV not working. Bathroom clogging. Room door jammed.

Easy check-in, friendly front office staff, and clean, quiet room! Location, location, location in Chicago! Great breakfast buffet, and cozy bar - both with great service! We enjoyed our family gathering for a college graduation. Thank you.

Very friendly

Staff was not good. Some of them rude and not willing to work. The only person helpful was Maria, front desk manager.

I do believe the Westin franchise is relying on their name and reputation at this point. The hotel felt dated. Lobby furniture was stained and old. You could tell it's in need of a renovation. The room was a decent size. I appreciated how spacious it was. However, you could see that the room was not the best quality or cleaned properly. Bathroom and carpet felt dated. Saw hair on the towels and make up stsins from previous guests. The refrigerator also had a smell that would not go away. For the price, i would recommend staying elsewhere.

On checking the receptionist did not do a good explaining my confirmation and simple things such as how to access the wifi and what of the amenities available at the hotel.

Absolutely top tier!! Definitely a whole vibe.

We had a great stay at this property! All staff members were so helpful, and it’s always a bonus when there’s a Starbucks kiosk in the lobby. Valet was really quick! Everything very clean!

Great Hotel and Location.

Location is excellent. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable. Pillows were like bricks. When I asked the front desk for a change of pillows, I was told there were none to be had.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel! Great area, great staff! Having a Starbucks in the hotel is extremely convenient. Parking was easy and the garage is close. I enjoyed my stay.
- 5/5
The location is perfect and I was able to go to all the main attractions at a walking distance.

Had a corner room with 2 beds. Went to lay down in one of them the first night and there was hair and cough drops in the bed. The furniture needs to be repaired/upgraded. It was not in good condition. For the price, there are better hotels in the area.
- 5/5
I would definitely stay here again!

Staff were very nice and always available. Food is great. I would suggest adding other meat for breakfast because some people don’t eat pork. Both the bacon and sausage were pork so I could not eat it. I did enjoy the rest of breakfast. I will recommend this hotel and visit it again in the future.

Enjoyed the details that go into making the stay comfortable. Robes, beds, amenities offered to stay on track with wellness goals

We had a great stay at the Westin Michigan Avenue in Chicago. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and professional. The room was excellent, the hotel restaurant and bar were great, and the valet/bell staff were friendly and helpful.
- 3/5
I love Westin, but this property is very dated. The bed was old and lumpy. The staff was kind enough to let us change rooms, but the beds in the second room were only marginally better. The pillows and bedding were also not “Heavenly”. It’s such a bummer to see the signature Westin quality drop so much. The Dearfield location is the same.
- 3/5
It was ok, though overpriced especially when the unexpected destination fee was added to the price. Did not meet my expectations of a Westin Hotel.
- 5/5
Clean comfortable rooms. The staff was friendly and very accommodating.

Great hotel!

The staff wasn't what might be considered "friendly" or welcoming. The resort fee is bogus. But great location and nice clean rooms.
