Reviews
The hotel receives mixed reviews with guests appreciating its proximity to the United Center and friendly staff, but expressing concerns about room cleanliness, size, and noise. Some guests also experienced issues with parking and hidden charges.
- Close proximity to the United Center
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Room cleanliness and size issues
- Noise from neighboring rooms and hallways

Great stay staff was very polite and helpful
- 2/5
Unfortunately our second room was next to a staff/supply area where we were treated to conversations among housekeeping staff and a steady run of slamming doors all morning. The room itself was just ok. The floors were not clean, body wash in shower was empty, and shower head was a hand held not standard shower head which is less than desirable. Overall this hotel feels like a bare bones hostel but not as well cared for. I will not stay again and was very disappointed and at times uncomfortable in this hotel.

We were able to check in early and the staff were very kind and helpful! Beds and rooms were a little smaller than expected but sufficient. Breakfast was just poptarts, apples, and oatmeal packs. Selection of sodas, waters, and ice cream for purchase was nice. Ended up buying bottled water because there was no drinking fountain and tap water didn't taste great. 30 minutes of walking and train rides to get downtown.

It was very centrally located! It was also within walking distance to a couple of bars and restaurants. Our AC didn't work in our hotel room, so it was a bit stuffy. They said they would send someone up to look at it but never did.

Hotel was in the queit place Not for the sum I payed. Too dark, a small space, far from the downtown
- 3/5
The hotel is clean, but in need of substantial refresh. Bed was fine, room and bath are very small. The provided "pick up" breakfast of poptarts and cereal bars breakfast was very disappointing. The automatic Latte/Espresso machine in the breakfast area, didn't produce good coffee. The neighborhood is almost completely devoid of any restaurants and shopping. On the plus side, there is a lone Mexican restaurant nearby that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and a few blocks away at the RUSH medical center is a Starbucks. Needless to say, we cut short our stay here.

The location of the property is not far away from nice restaurants and cool bars. Also the Metro (blue line) is within walking distance which takes you directly into Downtown Chicago and also to O’Hare Airport. Compared to other hotels, this was at least in a price range that is affordable. However, even for that amount of money it could have been a lot cleaner. The hotel room and also the hotel itself was not very clean, when we arrived in our room, the bathroom garbage can was full of hair. The stairway smells like urine. It’s very loud since you cannot close the window completely.

The room had everything we needed and the location had a good connection to lively areas. Check-In was easy. They had some snacks available at breakfast time. I wouldn't call it breakfast though. The room looked nothing like the pictures online and was significantly older than expected.

I was not told about the nightly deposit fee when I booked the hotel so I had to borrow money from my sister to pay for that. Maybe that was my ignorance. The room was in a corner where traffic from maintenance and other workers was a lot. Then right outside our window (1st floor) there was construction so we had to deal with that chaos as well. The room was not cleaned properly. When I noticed I wiped down everything with sanitizer wipes and sprayed the bed and other materials with disinfectant. The phone did not work so whenever I needed anything I had to go to the lobby.
- 5/5
What a wonderful stay! Our room was comfortable and spotless. Shout out to the cleaning staff! Great location with about a 10 minute walk to the United Center. The neighborhood is quiet and felt safe. They keep the front entrance locked which is a plus. About a block around the corner is where there is activity in the way of shops and traffic going into the city and hopping on/off 290. The hotel does have very limited parking for a fee that allows in/out privileges which was wonderful to have. I’d recommend staying here to everyone.

The value was great, and the neighborhood is totally safe. I was nervous before arrival but was pleasantly surprised and less intimidated about taking public transit to UIC. There was a touch of dust between the bed and the wall that I saw because the plugs are kind of hidden. It was also a little bright when I was trying to sleep between the door, microwave, and alarm clock. Small stuff.

Microwave and mini fridge They tried to scam me and charge my card the day I'm leaving. When my room was paid in full 5 days before arriving to the location and that was stated to me on arrival. Thankful i had my card locked. When confronting the front desk the manager ignored the situation (sitting in ear shot) and the clerk gave an excuse and blaming booking, which i had them on the phone. She couldn't figure out a good enough excuse to give me on why they tried it. And offered me a free pop for teething to scan me. I half proof they tried to charge it my last day hours before check out. And the bathroom sink leaked when turned on and shower head coming out of the wall. Construction right outside the window everyday at 7am.

The staff are all very nice, and helpful! Plus, the location being a few minute walk from the United Center makes it the perfect spot for shows or events! The rooms are a little small, but for the price, it was very comfortable

The hotel room did not look like the picture that was advertised on booking.com. The hotel room looked very low rated. The shower floor inside the bathroom was dirty. They hotel wanted 100 deposit damage fee fir the two days I was staying there and fir the costs of the room I paid $261 for and there was no complementary breakfast included. It's not what I expected.
- 5/5
No frills hotel, but had everything we needed and the staff was exceptional. Helped with our safe and were all very friendly. Location was perfect for walking to United Center. Our flight got cancelled and we ended up having to leave a day early and checking out at 6 am. The clerk at the desk said she would check with her manager about a partial refund. We were not holding out hope, and would have understood if we had not been reimbursed, but today we had a credit for the unused night. Exceptional customer service !
- 5/5
Location was great for the United center. Didn’t realize breakfast until last day. Was not discussed at check in. Wish more restaurants nearby in walking distance.
- 2.5/5
Location close to United Center. Came for the Big Ten basketball tournament. Friendly and responsive staff! Construction outside just outside my room started at 7 am, which seemed very early. Could not sleep in. Some smell of urine in the 2 floor hallway and one time there were several small garbage bags lining the hallway.

The night shift staff who assisted us did not provide a very pleasant welcome, and I was not informed about the $25 parking fee. Aside from that, the room was small but clean and comfortable, which was adequate for a one-night stay.

- 4/5
Staff member Sonia did her best to accommodate me with parking since I was staying for multiple nights. She left notes for the next front desk worker to tell them I was next for a spot, and it was ignored and all spots were given away. Again, Sonia was the only one to attempt to make it right. I’d only stay at this hotel again if I was going to the venue for a concert AND I was flying into town. Not worth the stress of parking.
- 3/5
nice renovated building near the United Center. walking was convenient to watch basketball game. There were 2 Mexican restaurants nearby and that was it for dining options. The nearby bar was closed by 9:30 p.m. Not much to do in the area. Parking was a bit confusing.

The staff was helpful. The room was very small and had only the bare necessities but the cleanliness of the room was great. The bed was awful! It was like sleeping on a brick. We were so uncomfortable we barely slept. There's no star rating for comfort, maybe there should be one.
- 5/5
I love this hotel. Stay here every time I come to Chicago.
- 5/5
Really nice
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable room. Great location! Staff were friendly! Coffee was good. Gym was nice and free bottled water was provided.
- 4/5
The 4 stars was for my needs. It was close to the United Center. There was a nice bar & grill down the street and a great Mexican cafe around the corner. The staff was kind, the bed comfortable, and the room clean. If you're picky, this is an old building. The floor was uneven. Some bathroom corners were old and in not great shape. I had a full mattress which probably wasn't an adult size so my toes could hang over the end. But I will stay there again.
- 5/5
Great location and awesome service! Really appreciated how friendly and helpful all the staff was, from the front desk to housekeeping! They made the whole trip much better!!
- 5/5
Property was nice. Very convenient when going to events at the United Center. Definitely walkable.

- 4/5
Very nondescript place, but it is clean and wasn’t too expensive .
- 3/5
staff was nice and room was clean

I was charged for the room three times: the first time to secure the rate, and then two more times when arriving. I was told I will “eventually get a credit in 35 days or more”
- 4/5
The parking is convenient and is a close walk to United Center. The building is older but clean.
- 3/5
Hallway going from lobby to the rooms really smelled bad, loud surrounding, expensive food choices, heater/ac didn’t really work
- 5/5
Very nice and clean option for anyone working in the area. Very nice host! Thank you for a simple and enjoyable stay!

Neighborhood was a little iffy. We walked from the train in the evening and it seemed a little sketchy. Parking lot was right outside our first floor window and there were some people playing music very loud very late at night.

- 5/5
Hotel Chicago was an ideal stay close to the United Center. The event was walking distance, the hotel was simple yet chic and the service was excellent.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was in the center of every where we wanted to go.
- 4/5
Proximity to the United Center is the best thing this hotel has going for it. No parking. No valet. Loud inside the rooms. Fairly priced though. Probably wouldn’t stay again but it wasn’t terrible. Very whelmed from the experience.
- 1/5
Our heat didn't work in our room and they didn't do anything for our issues!
- 3/5
We were charged for a queen bed room but the bed was definitely a full size. We felt very cramped all night. Other than that, great stay.
- 5/5
The staff were amazing. The lobby was very clean.
- 4/5
The reason we chose this location was to be near the United Center so we could walk there for a concert. It was perfect for that.
- 5/5
I was very suprised….it was quite lovely!

- 5/5
Clean room. Great staff. Parking not the best
- 5/5
Great hotel and staff. The room was clean and perfect for my stay. Hotel is located near the United Center which is very convenient.
- 5/5
Great staff and within walking distance of our concert! Highly recommend!
- 4/5
Front desk staff was a 10. But the room is smaller than my kitchen at home and the tv barely worked . The sink and toilet had poor plumbing and the shower was like showering in a shoe box . Parking was ok . The staff made the stay a great one otherwise it’s not built for big people
- 5/5
It was close to local attractions
- 3/5
My air didnt work in the room and they wouldn't reassigned me a new room,so other than being hot,so uncomfortable to even sleep everything else was great
- 3/5
Good option when staying near United Centre as its walking distance. Also close to transit to get around the city. The wifi in my room barely worked. Staff didn't seem helpful
- 4/5
The lobby area could use a deep cleaning and better lighting. The staff was very kind and helpful!
- 5/5
The staff was very nice!
- 5/5
Perfect for my needs.
- 4/5
The stay was great and convenient for a concert at the United Center. Check-in/out was easy and the room was cozy and had all we needed plus a fridge and a microwave! Not to many stores around to walk quickly if you wants snacks etc but if you drive you can grab things and park in the lot. A few cosmetic things could be updated but not a deal breaker. Overall great for the value!
- 2/5
This property was unclean, noisy, understaffed, and old. I would not stay again.
- 5/5
Staff very helpful.
- 4/5
The hotel was in a convenient location close to the United Center where we attended a concert. Not a fancy hotel, but it was a pleasant stay and there are restaurants within walking distance.
- 2/5
the staff is great and the check in was fine but the hotel is NOT clean the sheets the duvet cover (had a large brownish/redish spot) it just felt gross! One of the bath towels had black streaks not sure from what the shower was semi clean (hair debris) we were not in chicago for fun(dealing with family emergency) so we just didnt say anything. But for the price we paid for each night at this hotel, never again would we stay here
- 3/5
You have to get there early for the parking passes, however there was free street parking in the area,so it worked out. Decent room for the price.
- 5/5
Nice clean property
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay here! Nice park nearby, walkable to Union Square and staff was wonderful!!!
- 5/5

- 5/5
We stayed here to go to a concert at the United Center. It was very convenient and easy.
- 5/5
Hotel was near downtown and i had no issues parking on the street. Staff was so helpful and provided great recommendations.
- 1/5
The booking was deceiving. It says double queen bees and only 1 single queen available in the whole hotel. I tried to get a refund because I didn’t stay and I still got denied from hotel management and third party Expedia! Worst experience ever even though I’ve been a customer for years!! I would reconsider!
- 5/5
I wished i had known about the microwave. And the refrigerator was full size! These are great features to know about. I appreciate the fact that they have parking but it was inconvenient to find out their lot was full and I'd have to use a parking garage ($$). That was unexpected and not fun finding out after hours of traveling. I liked the amenities even if it was a take and go breakfast selection. Free bottles of water and coffee were also niceties to appreciate.
- 4/5
The room was nice but I normally don't spend that kind of money on a room. The parking garage next door takes a physical card or cash. I parked a few days overnight and that was little over $100.there was a safe which was nice if I needed it. Everything was clean. The microwave has a child lock on it and I overcooked my food trying to get the microwave open. Called the front desk and they sent someone right away and it took him 2 minutes to realize there was a lock. I wish I had more food to hear up but was worried the microwave would eat food again.
- 4/5
Within walking distance to United Center.
- 5/5
Make sure you get here before the night lady takes over the desk because she had no idea what she was doing and fought with like everyone checking in and ignored their reservations and couldn’t find it
- 4/5
It was ok. Noisy next door was under construction
- 5/5
Nice small and compact!
- 2/5
No free parking. Late at night trying to find parking was not fun.
- 3/5
the carpeted hallways. Parking was expensive and we had thought it would be part of our stay based upon other reviews we had read. Also, we thought breakfast was included, and no one told us about this or even where it was located. We could hear the people above us walking as well.
- 4/5
Not related to the hotel, but would make other visitors aware that it felt a little uncomfortable walking in the neighbourhood at night, but felt okay during the day.
- 5/5
I came for the Lady Gaga concert. This hotel not only made my trip better with their flexibility and kindness but they hosted a lively group of Little Monsters. Hands down recommend if you have a show at the Union center. Make friends, walk over, and enjoy a chill hotel.
- 3/5
We stayed for one night after a concert at the United Center. I booked the hotel far in advance as it was one that offered off-street parking. VERY LIMITED, I had to beg for a parking pass. Easy 4 block walk to the United Center. Not many dining options available. Room was very sloppy, headboard was torn from the bed, scuffs all over the walls and bed was very uncomfortable, plaster all over the floor. Staff was very friendly but limited information on the area.
- 5/5
Convenient, comfortable, and perfect for what I needed. I was staying for a single night to see a concert at the United Center. This hotel is perfectly located a very short walk away from the venue. I felt safe making this commute alone as a woman, as it was well lit, and the after concert crowds offered additional safety in numbers too. Ride share is also readily available. It is very easy to get to and from the airport using public transit, as there is a bus stop only yards from the front door. All you need do is take the orange line and #9 bus to get from midway to the hotel and I would recommend this as a cheaper alternative for those who don’t mind a little adventure. (It’ll cost about $5 each way). The rooms are compact, (I booked a full bed room) but for a solo traveler this is fine and I knew what I was getting. Everything was spotless and well maintained. The building was secure and well staffed at all times. And it was easy for me to order food via Grubhub/doordash, though I could have walked or bussed or ride shared to any assortment of lovely looking restaurants nearby. I enjoyed Spice Room Indian very much! I would eagerly stay again for all of the reasons mentioned though if I had my partner along I would book a larger room.
- 5/5
Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was small but clean. Call ahead for parking because apparently their parking lot fills up very quickly. We had to park in the garage next door due to them not having any parking spaces available.
- 2/5
Our wi-fi did not work and even though we mentioned several times it was not fixed nor were we offered any type of compensation since it was working everywhere else in the hotel. I would not have chosen this hotel if I knew there would be no wi-fi. Secondly, the hotel was listed as having parking available. There was none. We had to park in a garage and pay $40 for parking, trek our luggage theough the garage and down the street. A luggage trolley would have been helpful, too. We didn't even know that IF there had been available parking on site there was a charge for it, too. This isn't a hotel I will stay at again.
- 4/5
Hotel and room were clean. Staff was helpful and friendly.
- 4/5
The front desk people are very friendly and willing to assist with just about anything that comes up during the stay. They make up for some of the shortcomings of the physical building and the neighborhood. An extra special thank you to Mary!! I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the United Center. Parking is a major problem.
- 4/5
Our room was clean & looked like it was painted not to long ago. We were told our room would be ready by 4 but wasn't ready until 5. Otherwise it was a good experience.
- 3/5
The service was great! The room was very nice and clean. The bed and the pillows were not comfortable.

We were in town for a concert at United Center. The hotel is OK, but their breakfast is possibly the worst we’ve ever seen. It is quite inadequate. Also, there is no hotel parking and the public parking garage next-door is locked down starting on Saturday at 3 PM and does not open up again until Monday morning at 5:30 AM
- 2/5
We went to our room after finally finding a parking spot on the street, and another patron's belongings were in our room. They had given us a room that was already occupied. They got us another room saying it was a queen like we paid for, but it was clearly a full size bed.
- 5/5
There were no issues with our stay at expect for lack of parking. Everything else was very nice!
- 3/5
We went back a half hour later and was told that rooms weren’t ready yet and it would be another 35 minutes. We waited almost an hour (& they started giving rooms to other people that were coming in before we pointed out that we had been waiting a long time, then they finally gave us our room.) The room was tiny but fine. We were late for our dinner reservation and frustrated by the whole experience. (And the front desk wasn’t at all apologetic for the delay, when we were going to miss our dinner reservation to them, they said “well, check in isn’t until 4.”…this was at 4:45.)
- 5/5
Very clean and modern. Staff let us check in early.
- 3/5
Decent
- 5/5
It was clean and ideal for solo travelers. I liked the area and the proximity to the United Center.
- 2/5
We checked in around 5pm, there was no parking available on site, so we were told to download an app and park away from the hotel. It was a 3 minute walk from the hotel. When we came back to our hotel, our key wouldn’t work. We got that fixed and then at 2:30 am we received a call from the hotel phone that woke us. The worker was asking why we didn’t check in and that she was about to cancel our reservation. We couldn’t fall asleep after that and it made our trip exhausting.
- 5/5
Nice hotel, close to the venue. The Mexican restaurant across the street is bomb!
- 3/5
Seems to have some sewer smell on the first floor. Does look like the attempted to fix the issue so shrug
- 4/5
Was supposed to have two beds but only got one bed so a bit smaller than anticipated but the only draw back is our tiny room was under a maintenance closet or something it was quite noisy in the morning.
- 5/5
It was nice and clean and the staff was wonderful.
- 5/5
The room was very nice and comfortable, all the staff we interacted with were very nice and helpful!
- 2/5
Staff completely unfriendly. Parking is awful. Staff directing customers to park in parking structure that would have left their vehicles stuck through the weekend. Definitely a LAST RESORT. Hotel in Chicago.
- 4/5
Conveniently located near the United Center. Friendly staff. Several restaurants within walking distance. I was there for two nights. Wi-Fi did not work in my room so they changed me to another room and the Wi-Fi did not work there either. I had to do my work in the lobby. Small room had a microwave oven and compact refrigerator. They provided coffee and snacks in the morning which included pop tarts, fruit, and instant oatmeal. Parking is available next to the hotel. I paid $56 for two nights.
- 4/5
The area seemed safe and was easily walkable to the United Center for a concert. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Check in time was 4 pm and they were cleaning my room at 5 pm. I didnt have to bring luggage on this trip and i didnt really need my room early so that was fine. Staff was very nice.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and helpful. Perfect walking distance to the United Center
- 2/5
The check in process was a disaster. I got told I couldn’t check in any earlier than 4 pm and then when I came back from using the restroom there was a line and they were checking people in. I asked about parking and the receptionist was rude and extremely unhelpful. The only thing good about this hotel was the fact that the United Center was within walking distance. The room was dirty and my socks that I wore while in the room were filthy after just a couple times walking in the small room.
- 4/5
The front desk person was incredibly kind. There has been a lot of effort to maintain this property. It is walkable and the most reasonably priced in the area. The room was small, but we were not there to hang in the room. I also felt safe in the area.
- 5/5
Ideal for being near United Center.

Pros: Walking distance to United Center Full sized fridge, microwave, keurig Roll-in shower Cons: Hair in drawers The sink water pressure was so extreme that it sprayed water absolutely everywhere. Meanwhile the shower had low water pressure. No table or desk at all. Nowhere to place food to eat. We had to eat in the bed which was not ideal. Can't eat at the counter cause it was high up. Questionable decor - a single Temu quality tapestry held up by push pins or something. Matress super soft (uncomfortably so), lumpy pillows that offered no support No soap in the soap dispensers If you or a member of your party are in a wheelchair and need an accessible room, know that the beds are way, WAY too high to transfer safely. Honestly it ends up being such a steep incline that it is impossible to transfer by oneself. Staff were not knowledgeable. We got there at 6 and were unable to get a key card until the next morning because the key card machine was broken all night. With only one accessible parking space in hotel lot that was totally empty but were told it was reserved, we had to park in the neighboring garage. However the staff knew absolutely nothing about it and told me I could go retrieve my vehicle on Sunday. They were wrong. I had to call for help for the parking lot owner so I could be rescued by security - otherwise I wouldn't have been able to leave at all! I will not be returning.

Short walk to United center

The internet did not work the Wi-Fi password never did work the floors inside the room were extremely slippery the bed linens were damp almost to the point where they were wet and uncomfortable would not recommend

Very quiet and comfortable. The staff was nice too.

Overall the hotel appeal is moderate. The cleanliness of the room and place was not so good. Dirty carpets in hallways. Room was dirty, stain on sheets, bathroom shower had stains in floor. Shower and vanity are very small. Staff said after seeing the room they cannot refund me. Emailed management and waiting to hear back.
- 2/5
There’s no water fountain if you plan on bringing a reusable water bottle. They do offer free water but it’s the mini ones and personally I felt judged grabbing more than one since they would stare you down. Didn’t try their breakfast but they have free coffee. In terms of the room, it was pretty decent compared to other reviews I’ve seen. Bathroom was clean but there were some mystery marks on the walls that could’ve been easily wiped down. WiFi is included but prepare for it to suck and either not work or be so slow that a simple website takes 5 minutes. We weren’t in the room that often since we came for lolla but it was still one of the more not so great hotels I’ve stayed at. If you can spend a little more money on a nicer hotel I’d definitely recommend it.
- 3/5
Truly just the definition of okay. The staff was friendly, but the facilities are just poor, dirty, and old. There were bugs in my room, trash in the shower train, and the baseboards were covered in dirt. So, I would only stay here if you need a cheap accomodation!
- 3/5
That didn’t happen, then I was told I would receive a refund for one night. That didn’t happen either. I guess I didn’t really expect that much from the place anyway.
- 3/5
Nice staff, great location and good parking but no amenities.
- 3/5
They did not provide much for comfort.
- 3/5
Staff was courteous but they charged two days parking for a one night stay. Next time I'll use public parking.
- 3/5
small rooms. Staff was unavailable when I got there and you can't get in without a keycard making it difficult to check in. Otherwise, staff was fine. Wifi was terrible.
- 1/5
Phone In room did not work, maid and cleaning staff did not show up until I personally asked a worker to please change my sheets and brin mg towels to which I then had to make my own bed and I stripped my own bed on more than one occasion. The front desk was found empty for long periods of time. Overall one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had.
- 5/5
The rooms are charming. Great for one or two people with a lot of storage you don't see in most hotels. The 24-hour coffee machine was also a boon!
- 2/5
We had to switch rooms because our air conditioning was broken then in our new room our toilet got plugged and there’s no bar there’s no pool. There’s no workout room. There is very limited anything in this hotel and it’s old and the price is ridiculous for what you get Plus you could smell skunk weed through the walls. It was awful just awful. The only thing that made it OK was the staff. Steve was wonderful but I think they realized what a crappy place they worked for.
- 5/5
Great place to stay, parking was included and very convenient
- 3/5
I loved that the room was ready hours before check-in time. I didn't love what they offered for "breakfast" just granola bars, fruit cups and oatmeal packets. That wasn't a breakfast. Also, my tv never worked during my stay.
- 4/5
Hotel needed some updating and rooms were small for the price but the staff was accommodating, answered my questions were consistent throughout my trip.
- 4/5
Rooms are very small but have everything you could need, fridge, microwave, spacious shower. The room wasn’t particularly clean (floors, baseboards, surfaces) but the value for the money is good.
- 5/5
This is such a great boutique hotel, very clean, staff us amazing
- 1/5
Was told there was 24 hour parking next to hotel if their lot was full via text when I requested parking. Garage was closed & staff was not helpful about where we could then park. Room smelled musty and felt damp even with the air on. The damp feeling never went away. Bathroom door couldn’t close because it was so swelled. Bed springs groaned whenever you moved and you fell towards the middle of the bed and felt like you were scrambling out of it all night. Worst stay I’ve had in Chicago.

The management of this property cancelled my reservation the morning of my stay and rebooked my room at a much higher rate to someone else. They were rude and refused to even speak with me. I had the reservation for 5 months in advance. They did not give me any notice they said that was up to expedia. I was forced to book a hotel miles away at a higher rate due to their predatory practices.
- 3/5
The employees were nice but I would not recommend staying at this hotel. They should renovate the entire space and add fresheners to the building. There's potential at this hotel, but I guess for the price it works out well for others.
- 3/5
Room was nice. Everything was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Staff were responsive but not super informative - initial Wi-Fi password they gave was wrong. Breakfast was very limited. Parking wasn’t free and quite expensive - paid $37 to park in the garage next to hotel.
- 4/5
Hotel Chicago West Loop was super convenient since it is walking distance to the United Center. The hotel was clean and the staff were extremely pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. The parking lot is kind of small but the parking garage next door is available so not a terrible option at only 12$ more than the 25$ for the hotel lot. All in All an excellent stay and I hope to recreate again for any future events at the United Center.
- 5/5
Nice hotel and short walk to the united center . Staff was very friendly. Felt like a pretty safe area
- 5/5
So glad I chose this hotel. It was the perfect location for the event we attended. We felt safe walking back and forth even in the late evening. The staff was friendly and acknowledged us every time we came or left.
- 3/5
I liked the beautiful shower and that's it. The mattress on the bed was like sleeping on a huge pillow. The bed that was supposed to sleep two was uncomfortable. The room was small. You couldn't get 8n contact with staff right away. This place was eerily quiet.
- 4/5
The room and bathroom was clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The front desk was very polite and friendly. The rooms arent very big but they have everything you need. They also offer a gated parking area.
- 4/5
Not bad for the price. It was near the event we were attending. Room was small, but comfortable. The only bad thing about our stay was there was ants in the shower it looks like they might’ve used bug spray because they were dying in the shower. Front desk associates were very nice.

After being delayed for hours at the airport, I finally landed in Chicago. I got to the hotel, my uber left, and I approached the door, in an area of Chicago that is relatively unsafe (like many in the city.) I had about $10k worth of camera gear in my backpack, keep in mind. The door is LOCKED, and though I had a clear view of the front desk, NO ONE is there. For at least 10-15 minutes, I'm stranded at night and feeling very unsafe. I call the front desk with the number listed. UNKNOWN NUMBER. I was starting to freak out a bit, and then the front desk guy FINALLY appeared out of the ether. He said he was the only one working and apologized, and I did feel bad for him, but that just wasn't an ok experience. Also, any time I needed to ring the front desk once I was in my very underwhelming room, I would just get this weird alarm type of tone in my ear. I never got through after a dozen attempts throughout my 2 night stay. Honestly - just pay the extra hundred or so for the Hyatt. It will pay dividends.
- 5/5
I chose this hotel so that I could be close to the United Center as i had 2 concerts to attend during my stay. The location is perfect for anyone wanting to be able to walk to the United Center and have a few food establishments close. The staff was extremely polite and made me feel comfortable. If you need parking they do have a limited amount of parking passes. These passes are purchased for $25 a day. I arrived Saturday and received mine but some ppl arriving on Monday were not able to park in the hotels lot. There is not a hot breakfast but they did have fruit cups, pop tarts, and maybe breakfast (I cant remember). The room was great for 1 person. Plenty of space to store things and hang your clothes. My only issues were the water pressure on the toilet and their pillows are so soft (i like mine firm).
- 2/5
Tv did not work and bed wasnt made properly!
- 5/5
Pulling up to the hotel you’re not sure what you’re getting but once inside he check in process was quick they were very nice the property was clean, Room was decent..it was walkable to United center. I’d stay there again.
- 2/5
The property is not up to standard, the rooms only have either full size beds or kings size. Rooms were dirty and the Manger has a I don’t care attitude. Only good things about this hotel it’s a few blocks over from the United Center. I wouldn’t stay at this hotel ever again.
- 1/5
terrible place
- 5/5
Wanted to thank the staff that were there the night we checked in. We had spent a long day at the hospital and my dad couldn't get the tv to work. A young man on the staff came upstairs and was patient and got it up and running. The kindness after a long couple of weeks was appreciated!
- 4/5
clean, accessible to other places, friendly staff
- 5/5
Loved all the mirrors in the hallway of each floor !
- 5/5
I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel.
- 2/5
Unfortunately, issues started the first night and didn’t get better. When we checked in there was no parking available, unlike what the website said. We were encouraged to use an app to find a parking spot close by. We did, and trudged our luggage .5 mile back to the hotel. Around 12:30 am, someone used their key card to get into our locked, room. Thankfully we had locked the door so the person couldn’t come totally in. When I spoke with the worker at the desk they said there was a glitch in the system that assigned our already occupied room to another guest. They offered us a free snack for the inconvenience. The next day our key stopped working to our room all together, along with the WiFi. Very disappointing.
- 2/5
Affordable prices. But the wifi did not work at all. Not recommended if you need to use wifi for work
- 4/5
My only complaint would be the shower. The shower head had very low water pressure
- 3/5
I enjoyed the simple check-in and parking process and the hotel itself wasn’t overly busy or loud. I didn’t like that it felt that the floor wasn’t cleaned in our room. I got out of the shower and walked to the bed to get dressed and I had blue glitter all over my feet. I also went to make coffee and there was blue glitter on the stirrer packets and the coffee maker wasn’t clean either.
