It was the coolest place I’ve ever stayed at in the USA. I loved the interior design, the attention to detail and the atmosphere there. Loved the size of the room. Also, really enjoyed the breakfast! It was delicious and I especially liked that it was cooked for each person, so less wasteful than a conventional buffet. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

On top of the beautiful decor, live plants, and unique rooms, the butler's pantry as perfect for grabbing and evening pot of tea to enjoy in the great room. Everything struck a great balance between high-end hotel and cozy B&B.

This was my fourth time staying at Publishing House, and I hope to return again soon (that is, when it isn't booked solid)! I love it at Publishing House: an ideal location, quiet, comfortable, and with the best possible breakfasts in a beautiful common area. My favorite place to stay in Chicago, really. The staff is also very friendly, and rooms are so beautifully appointed. Thank you, Publishing House!

Unfortunately, the main reason for my booking a stay there was the description of soundproofed rooms which couldn't be further from the truth. There was noise coming from all angles; banging from upstairs and next door, doors slamming from adjacent rooms, conversations heard through the walls, gurgling water from the over the bed heating unit and constant beeping and delivery drivers outside the window. Due to this, we never got a decent nights sleep during our stay. Now this description was from Hotels.com, but if it is not accurate, then the establishment should review and correct it. In addition, all communication with the staff can only be done via call or text. Neither of these methods ever produced a response. After an unanswered email, voice message and face to face request with one of the staff, requesting a late checkout to support a late train home, I was still left with no response. When I finally was able to speak with the owner, she reluctantly only let us stay an extra 30 minutes, claiming that they were quite busy. While we were allowed to leave our luggage and wait in the common area, I realized that "quite busy" meant taking down Christmas decorations in an unoccupied bed & breakfast. Pretty lame.

The Publishing House was easily one of our favorite stays in Chicago. The rooms and common areas are super comfortable, tastefully decorated and have a unique charm. We appreciate the one-of-a-kind feeling and personal touches. Breakfast was lovely, all the staff were thoughtful and kind. We look forward to returning.

This BnB was a rare find for us on our recent trip to Chicago. The location is perfect, on a quiet street, and within walking distance of great restaurants. We liked the music while we ate our tasty breakfast in the common area. Our room was very spacious and modern. A bonus was the Press Room wine bar downstairs! Would highly recommend.

Cozy stay in West Loop. Like an Airbnb but better because you get a freshly made breakfast every morning. They weren’t that accommodating with holding our luggage for the day but other than that great stay!

The common areas and rooms were beautiful and very clean. Staff was friendly and attentive when there. Food was tasty but could be difficult for picky eaters. We were bummed we didn't get to meet the pugs :( Great location to a lot of places and very secure/safe. The only downside was that on our 2nd day, all the parking spots were taken when we came back and we paid for a spot for the entirety of our stay. Luckily someone came and left after we waited for about 20 minutes but that would have been a big issue if it happened more than once. I think their needs to be a better set up for that for future guests.

I cannot say enough great things about this Airbnb! They made me feel right at home from the moment I checked in (very easy btw!) and gave me a lovely tour bf getting to my lovely room, The Audrey. The fresh backed pastries in the morning and breakfast was out of this world and my heart was so full playing the IN TUNE grand piano upstairs. Truly my favorite part. The Malin + Goetz products were a nice touch for someone like me who prioritizes clean products, so this really made me feel at home too. The self serve coffee, tea bar was welcoming and the co working area was very cozy for my calls. My favorite was the window nook on the second floor. This is the best Airbnb experience I’ve ever had. Thank you so much for creating such a memorable experience and having the kindest staff in the world! I can’t wait to come back ❤️❤️❤️

The only reason I didn’t give condition a 5 is that the toilet seat in Bellow doesn’t fit the toilet and every time you sit it slides to the right and you think either it is going to break or you are sliding to the floor. While nothing happened, this seat is the wrong size for the toilet and it is going to break especially if a large person uses this toilet!

This was the most cutest B&B we have stayed at. We loved the morning pressed coffee (which we have never done before), the soft comfy beds and all the amenities this place has to offer. We rented a car to get around easier, parking in the evening by the B&B was a breeze, always found one right on the street, safely. They have a living room lounge, where you can just sit and read a book or enjoy complimentary coffee, tea and sparkling water, surrounded by a variety of beautiful greenery. While most big hotels have removed daily cleaning, the girls here cleaned our room every day and replenished us with fresh towels and fluffed pillows. We had a wonderful experience and will be back. We will be buying a french press for our house now!

The place was beautiful with well appointed facilities and self service drinks. Breakfast was also delicious. My only feeling was that there wasn’t a lot of warmth or communication with the staff. Often there’s front desk was empty and the primary way to communicate is text with isn’t always responded to. A few times when walking in, the staff didn’t even say hello. It’s a great building but could do with a bit more warmth from the staff

A beautiful place and very cosy. Wonderful staff very helpful. Thw only problem was with the noise. The dining area on the 3rd floor is next to the room and i could hear a lot of noise disturbing the sleep. There are ways to reduce the noise to these rooms. Second, the price for thia room could have water bottles in each room, nowadays a must at all stays.

We loved it! Adorable place, great decor, lovely room, great vibe overall, super friendly and helpful staff, and Kimberly in particular was very attentive and welcoming and made us feel like she was just a text away. And she was! Glad we stayed during a time that free street parking is available, as we’re sure it won’t last much longer since the area is taking off in popularity.
