Free shuttle to the airport was helpful. Using the elevator required using your room key, but the elevator key pad was very sensitive. The room had a refrigerator, which was very nice, but would have been better if it had a freezer section,

There was no charging port in the room, the clock was not attached to anything and the cords were frayed. The room did not have a black out shade so my room was fully sun filled from 0515 till 2030. The hair dryer needs to be replaced. Room 320.

We stayed here six years ago and it's better this time! We came during Covid. No pool access or Hot breakfast. This breakfast was Amazing! I like strips of bacon not crumbles.

Every time we visit the facility the stay experience is superb and the family is always Happy.

I would have given all 10s if not for the ants in the dining area and the location. Although the location itself was great, it was too far from my purpose for the visit. A location on the south east side of the city would be great.

I love the location I always stay at the hotel and book through booking.com. I’ve never had an issue. However , I was told by the rep there were no queen beds available which this was what I booked. I then told her it was me and my daughter she than said she oh I have a room. The games. Unnecessary

The room was spacious, beds were comfortable and mini fridge came in handy. I didn't like the frosted sliding glass door for the bathroom. The shower pressure acted up every shower, not a huge deal. The staff was very accommodating. The breakfast was sufficient, more options would of been nice. Over nice stay for a weekend volleyball tournament at the Wintrust Sports Complex.

It was a wonderful place to stay and amazing rooms and they had a great breakfast selection. Parking was reasonable and the person that recommended with any help is Francisco.

As usual Hyatt is great but I still miss microwave in rooms. Staff was great and breakfast was nice. My kids loveed it. It's in a safe area with security guard present during night. Best thing is that they gave a shuttle which can take you to midway and runs 24*7. We did not use it but practically we could have taken shuttle to midway and then CTA to downtown. Chicago downtown is just 14 miles away with average travel time of 35 to 40 mins. Will stay again for sure if I am in the area and not staying downtown.

The hotel was really clean and the breakfast was great! The free shuttle there from MDW was amazing. My only complaint was that room service wasn't provided everyday since I only stayed 2 nights and the pool smelled of too much chlorine.

The Airport Shuttle they need to said only for Midway Airport not for O’hare. That’s why I reserved this hotel because is included the airport shuttle. The day I arrived to the airport they can’t pick me up because the hotel shuttle doesn’t go to that Airport. It’s was my first time in Chicago I need to take the train take 2 hours to get the hotel. Please specify which airport the hotel do the shuttle.

We were stuck at Midway due to flight cancellations. Finding a room so close with the free shuttle was priceless! All was good.

Restaturant could have been better

Booked and paid for a room. Called ahead to let them know I'd be coming in at 1am and was assure drhe room would be available. Arrived at 12.30 to be told they'd sold the room and were now sold out. Was told they'd refund the cost but had to chase them up to do so. At least the gut who got stuck with this was polite and got me abothee room at a different property. Inexcusable ineptitide for whoever was to blame.

I was exhausted and went to bed early the first night. My room was 306 and I had to contact the front desk several times on my first night, due to the room above me making noise and bumping. Also, the carpet in the room smelled like mildew.

Only one of the staff members were nice. He was a tall gentleman that worked night shift. Website says daily housekeeping but this is not true. Must stay more than two nights for housekeeping. They ran out of towels in the rooms and pool area. Majority of staff didn’t speak when spoken too.

Heat in the room was not constant for the full 3 days . Had to constantly report to the front deck that it was not working. Telephone going in an out even just to the front desk, had to go to the front desk to report the condition of the room. No cleaning of the room at all during the stay. Horrible will never stay at this or ant other name with Hyatt, service was horrible.

The hotel was beautiful, clean, and hospitable! When I checked in I was greeted with a smiling face and also surprised with being the “guest of the day” which honestly made my day 😊 after a long drive. The room was cozy and had a nice seating area. We were also able to park for the week and take a shuttle to the airport. The only complaint I have is how extremely loud the guests above us were, but that was not the hotels fault.

The hotel staff was exceptionally they all were helpful, friendly and ready to make my stay fabulous. The only issues we experienced was hair on the bathroom floor, which was hard to see but transferred to our socks and shoes. The refrigerator needed a bit of cleaning otherwise the rest of the room was good.

This was my second time staying at this hotel. I really appreciate the free parking, the good breakfast, and the clean room when we checked in. However, our room wasn’t cleaned on the second day, which was a bit disappointing. It would be great if housekeeping could be more consistent, but overall, it’s still a comfortable place to stay.

We used the airport shuttle to get to a train for downtown Chicago. Around an hour in total but getting back took a little longer. Otherwise good hotel with good local restaurant and shopping, particularly convenient for Midway airport.

The room that I had was great it was spacious enough for us. Other than that everything was a problem! It was a wait for towels to our room, no towels in the pool area. The pool is small and it’s very dark in there. They’re not many options for snacks i didn’t see one vending machine. The bar isn’t quite what you expect. Overall a one night stay is ok but for longer than one night I suggest the DoubleTree across the way

Very comfortable couches in the sitting area in the rooms. The frosted glass bathroom door was a little disconcerting though. The rooms are truly soundproof, which is important given how close the hotel is to the airport.

The staff was very professional and courteous. However, the elevator was down and they only offered rooms on the 5th FL. Later offered a room on the 2nd floor which I took as I was attending funeral services and did not have time to relocate. Elevator was not fixed by the morning time as stated. Room missing some minimal items like hand soap. Property was clean.

I got a call at 530 pm while I was on the rental car bus at the airport. They wanted to tell me the elevator was out and I would be on the 4th or 6th floor. Was that OK? How do you deal with this at this last minute. I thought well maybe it was a last minute issue. IT WAS NOT. THE ELEVATOR HAD BEEN OUT FOR 2 WEEKS. They could have allowed me an opportunity to change my plans in plenty of time but instead they waited until I really had no choice. The room was not very clean as well. Very disappointing experience that was avoidable.

When we arrived we were told the elevator was out of service and had been for several days. So we had to carry the luggage up the stairs. Then the tv wouldn’t work so I tried to call front desk phone wouldn’t work. So I go down the stairs again. They tell me oh you have to hit 7 and then so other thing to use phone and the tv you have to hold down menu button till it’s green then go to live tv. I said don’t you think directions of how to use tv and phone should be in the room. The gentleman said yes I’ve been thinking we should do that. The room was really nice the workers were great. But the elevator being out and no directions for tv or phone at 227. A night I think it should of been better

Flight canceled and had to spend night here. Got in at 11:30pm and left at 6:30. Only slept here. Comfortable bed and climate. I was most blessed by the compassionate clerk at check-in. It was a long and disappointing day. And I felt that, without me saying that, this clerk understood my pain. I have no complaints, but the empathy of that woman is what leads me to a 5-star rating of this hotel. Shuttle service also very good.

Everytbing was great for the Hyatt except 2 things. 1. Their elevator broke on day causing everyone to take the stairs for the ENTIRE weekend. And 2. They charged me incorrectly after an already expensive trip. Not good. Overall that makes the experience 3 out of 5 for me

We would 100% stay at the Hyatt Midway again! The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating, plus free short term onsite parking is a plus as other hotels charge nearby upwards of $30 even if you're parking for less than 12 hours! We did not get to use the pool or fitness center but they looked very nice and kept up with. The fitness center looked like it had plenty of room and wasnt squished like others i've seen. Its located in the back of a conglomerate of hotel chains, so its quiet in the heart of the airport. The free shuttle was nice too and ran every 15-20 mintues on the hour, very convenient!

Room for improvement: our fan was not working in the bathroom. So it was quite humid in our room after we took showers. We asked for extra towels 3 times before they were finally delivered to our room. But they allowed us to have an extra hour for later check-out due to the inconvenience. There was not a microwave in our room (that’s $20 extra if they bring it to you). But there was one in the lobby to use for free. At check-in they said breakfast was $11 plus tax per person. But maybe since we booked with hotels.com we ended up finding out that it was included in the price of our stay. Overall it was a very nice hotel aesthetically, but functionality could be improved.

I really enjoyed the King Suite. The room was spacious and clean. The lobby was nice and the morning breakfast was on par with similar chains. They do have better coffee options which is nice. This will be my preferred hotel while I’m the Chicago - Midway area.

This was a typical mid-range property. It was VERY clean, in fact I was greeted with the smell of bleach when I entered my room which not everyone might like but to me it's a very clean smell. The staff was excellent, friendly and engaging. There wasn't a single hiccup in my stay.

Enjoying my extended days at this hotel.

The staff took care of me fast and service was excellent. They gave me a good room that i didn't have to do to much walking and that was good for my ankle recently broke.

I have always enjoyed this property because of his customer service, is breakfast service, and the cleanliness of the hotel. This visit was nothing like that. When asked for assistance to print out an item, I was advised to call maintenance. That’s a business area that any manager could have assisted with the printer, not maintenance. When asked if I could heat up my own bagel, I was advised no I could not use the equipment only The microwave. To save the lease. This will be my last time at Hyatt Place.

Breakfast could be better.

No one at the desk when checking in. It was late to be fair but had to walk around to find someone. I had ants in my bathroom and my bedcovers were dirty.

It’s exactly like the description which is always great. The staff was really nice when we were checking in. Pool is amazing and I can’t wait to have their breakfast in the morning for $11.

Clean I needed somewhere to stay that was affordable before my checkin downtown. This is 5 mins or less to the airport. Staff nice breakfast only 11 bucks! Room spacious! Would stay again

We had a nice stay. Love that there’s a free shuttle to and from the airport where you can catch the CTA into downtown Chicago. Staff was extremely nice and courteous. We’ll be staying here again.

As expensive as this sysy was, it should have included breakfast. Instead, it was another $11.00 plus tax per day, after spending more than $400/night for a room. This is simply outrageous.

Great location and many wonderful things to eat

The check in and out were quick and easy. The room was clean and comfortable. The additional step of using the room key to use the elevator to upper floors added an extra safety element. I would stay there again.

I stayed for almost a week and the cleanliness and service waa consistent from day 1 to the end of my stay. Highly reccomend!

It was a great location with many shops and restaurants. I always stay here when visiting.

Average hotel. Some of the front desk workers could have been more polite.

The rooms were very clean and had plenty of space. The blackout blind didn't block out as much light as I was hoping. We could hear noise out in the hall in the morning; I'm not sure if it were guests or the cleaning crew. Overall, an enjoyable stay though- would definitely recommend for anyone flying out of Midway frequently. Also, some our rideshare drivers had a hard time finding the hotel, so just be aware.

I don’t like the fact that my room was cleaned only once for my four nights stay.

Overall it was a good stay! However I won’t be back.

breakfast was great, staff was pretty nice other than the fact it took us asking twice to get toilet paper and more towels with 3 adults and 2 children who use the restroom, worker wrote down all of our information for us to still not get toilet paper all day, which was okay because we went to do things but no one delivered our toilet paper and towels as they stated they would.. when we asked again waited about 20 mins before we still got it because worker had to go to another floor. the facility was clean don't get me wrong but when we came home from our trip my child had ended up with head lice… which i know for a fact my child DID NOT have any prior to the trip. was not

Nice location and free regular shuttle to airport was great. Pool was small and crowded and breakfast didnt have many options, particularly no waffle maker. Staff was very helpful and room was clean, bit difficult to lock bathroom sliding door.

I specifically asked for a quiet room and the front desk gives me a room next to an entire migrant family with 15 kids running down the hall screaming and talking loudly outside my door until 2am like they owned the hotel. Are people really this twisted and sick in the head to screw someome over every opportunity they get? And my bed had a huge dip in the middle. This place was not worth the price.
