Reviews
The hotel staff is consistently praised for their friendliness and helpfulness. The location is also a high point, with many guests appreciating its proximity to local attractions and restaurants. However, there are recurring issues with parking, including its cost and convenience. Some guests also express dissatisfaction with the cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms.

Hyde Park is gorgeous. This hotel respects the neighborhood. Staff is cool, rooms are clean. This is the spot.

so easy everything and staff so helpful, great hotel, great location
- 5/5
Great location, parking garage, breakfast and….. kid friendly!!!! Definitely can’t beat the price!!!!
- 5/5
Downside is parking if you have a car. Approximately $40 a day.
- 3/5
Staff was friendly, water pressure was good, and breakfast was pleasant. That said....the air conditioning in the room wasn't working properly. It was set for 65 when we got there. We bumped it up to 68. That said...the thermostat showed that it was actually 80 for most of the night. Did not sleep well as a result.
- 5/5
Staff is always awesome at this location!
- 4/5
Good hotel, everything was as expected. Staff very helpful and friendly.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing! We only stayed for one night, but the location was perfect. I highly recommend it if you’re planning a trip to Chicago and want to avoid staying downtown. The hotel was convenient, comfortable, and made for a great stay.
- 5/5
Very good stay! Close to everything and safe parking garage
- 4/5
Very good location for UChicago, friendly staff, car parking available, a decent hotel Not much really. Price was high for a 3 Star hotel, but all the hotels in Chicago were flying high at the time of stay. Breakfast is standard free breakfast at the Hotels in the US - nothing special.
- 5/5
Great place, great location just wish pool was bigger and easier to use. You have to make a reservation which we didnt know but luckily the people in there let us join the. Its a really small pool though
- 3/5
Hotel starting to show some wear--carpet and sofa in the room were stained, hall light burned out. Room smelled of cigarette smoke. Windows were dirty. Great location however. Breakfast was nice.
- 5/5
When I arrived at the property the staff was so welcoming and kind which made my check in process very pleasant and efficient. When i entered my room was it was clean and due to the weather at a very tolerable chill room temp. I enjoyed my stay and I will return soon.
- 3/5
Breakfast was excellent, the staff were courteous, the rooms were clean. Proximity to the University of Chicago was a plus. Regrettably, the hard, lumpy, prickly feather pillows were terrible - worst I've ever experienced- and the room temperature was uncontrollable and too hot for sleeping. The carpets in elevators and stairways were filthy. We do not plan to stay here again.
- 1.5/5
Parking was a nightmare, loading zone was impossible, and places we were sent to park were full. Pool was listed on hotel but then when we checked in we were told you have to have a reservation and they were already full.
- 4/5
Breakfast was good and had quite a few good options.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Beautiful hotel and close to tons of attractions!
- 5/5
This was a one night stay with the family. All the staff were very nice and helpful and the breakfast was better than a usual free breakfast. There isn't anything negative I could say about it
- 5/5
Breakfast was good and parking was safe and easy.

Breakfast would be better if the BACON was fully cooked crispy Access to a Microwave at Breakfast time would ha e been great.

- 5/5
The reason I rate the hotel as excellent when its services are just good is that the staff is largely local and takes a lot of pride in upholding their neighborhood. That is gratifying to me...
- 4/5
Affordable parking was difficult, we ended up using a third party for parking and got a ride to the hotel. The hotel itself was very clean and all the staff were extremely friendly. We were very happy with the room we got for the price we paid. Breakfast was decent, and there are plenty of restaurants surrounding the hotel for other meals.
- 5/5
Very friendly and helpful staff with restaurants all around.

Tight parking situation. Everything else from service and cleanliness 5 star!

One of the few options close to the University of Chicago More on the fair range of comfort at a luxury price. Great to be within walking distance to the University though. True story: I called for maintenance because the loo wasn't flushing, but instead of fixing it for us, they literally handed me a toilet plunger from the door. I was literally speechless! After paying $850 for 2 nights.... apparently I'm also expected to handle the maintenance issues myself. Just know your paying for the location, not quality.

This is an older part of town and so is the hotel, but it was a good place to rest. The neighborhood has may intriguing eateries and shops.
- 3.5/5
Location close to university of Chicago . Shops on street available. Very mediocre facility. Heating/cooling unit very outdated and uncomfortable. Blows on bed and noisy. Limited housekeeping. Expensive for what it is.

Will continue to stay at his location with great staff and amenities. This particular was off with renovations going on in hotel. HVAC in room would not work properly and assumed it was with ongoing work.

The breakfast menu was amazing. My problem was my room, the AC didn’t work, the temperature would not drop below 75 degrees, I had to keep resetting the furnace and it would only get cool for about 15 minutes then go out again. My tv kept losing the signal, it wasn’t even storming. I was told I would get free breakfast for signing up for the Hyatt program but I was really charged for that amazing breakfast
- 4/5
Breakfast was wonderful!

Always is a great experience in the Hotel. Thanks

Just the location Firstly I was charged on booking.com before arriving and still was charged again once I got to the property then the tv was skipping and searching for signal all night couldn’t enjoy that and lastly the pool looked dirty and has rust in it

The tv didn’t work, the toilet ran non stop, and the bathroom door wouldn’t shut completely. We also had to wait until 515 to check in!
- 4/5
Wonderful location, Great Staff, Great Breakfast…but AC unit was just Ok, really never cooled the room down.
- 4/5
Clean, friendly, talked to the front desk staff to pinpoint down the restaurant for our night out. 5 stars!! We came in for a concert, the staff was knowledgeable about the area which is always a plus. Helpful and knowledgeable is the benefit! Thanks

It was very clean. Parking options are an issue.

Very enjoyable stay. Great little restaurants nearby.
- 5/5
The staff members were all very accommodating and friendly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The area had lots of restaurants within walking distance and it was an easy drive to the hospital where my son was admitted.

- 4/5
It was very clean great location but staff was HORRIBLE! Very very rude, asked for a Starbucks they legit but my head off and said well all we have is beans it won’t be fancy! It had a Starbucks sign so I assumed they made it wasn’t made very clear that they didn’t have a menu, so she then proceeded to make my coffee very angrily, I was very uncomfortable, then my family and I was woke up out of dead sleep at midnight with the next room screaming at their kids for well over an hour, I didn’t say anything till it continued to go on for about 45 min so I went down to the desk as our phone in the room doesn’t call the front desk, the same lady I dealt with the coffee was there and she legit acted annoyed as hell that it was 1am and my whole family was woke up, she didn’t do shit about it, didn’t move a muscle and basically made me feel like I just needed to deal with it, and this am I had another rude staff member, you should have some nice staff members because your hotel is amazing but I will not be back because of the 2 VERY RUDE staff members other than them my stay was great but they Ruined it with how very very angry rude they were! Read above comment I put it in the wrong part, I like everything but the staff
- 4/5
Staff were great. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Seemed like such a fun environment to work. Wish my stay was longer. Wish there was room service.
- 4/5
The staff were extremely nice and the room was modern. The only negatives was a dirty sofa and the reception/bar area was extremely cold. A lot of windows in a very cold climate.
- 4.5/5
The plumbing needed work. The water wasn’t that hot and the shower drained slow.
- 4/5
Good place.
- 1/5
I was double charged I was charged twice
- 4/5
The room was great. The size was nice Loved the bathroom. The lobby looks great, the staff was nice and friendly. Loved the location. Great place to get away and relax.
- 3.5/5
Window shade in the room could not be raised. This was pointed out to the front desk but was not repaired. The room was a bit pricey. The fitness gym is cramped and somewhat limited.
- 2.5/5
The location was excellent. A decent little walk to U Chicago campus, and it was a pretty safe for those unfamiliar with the cities. The hot breakfast was almost as bad as if it were to have come out of the microwave. If you're faced with a choice, don't pay for it and get breakfast elsewhere. The bathroom smelled pretty bad too as if there was back-ventilation from the drains.
- 5/5
The staff are great and the room was everything I needed - clean, comfortable, and quiet. Both times I’ve stayed at this hotel, I’ve had a good experience. Great location, too!
- 1/5
The bed was comfortable. When I arrived the room was in disarray and TV was in the middle of a movie like the room was in use. I called the desk and they said the room had just been checked and they leave it that way. The pull out couch was have open and cabinets and drawers open. TV on. It truly seemed in use. The front desk did not give us another room and it was creepy.
- 2.5/5
The front deck was very accommodating. We asked to move rooms because our room smelled musty. It was gross!! The front desk gave us a new room without any problem. That our first room smelled like mold, musty ,it was just gross. The room they moved us to had a view of construction. So we were woke up early. The parking garage was a complete mess to understand. There definitely needs to be better directions on the doors in the garage.
- 4/5
When front desk realized we needed parking, they could have told us we needed the room key to get out of the parking garage. Instead we had to ask another guest to help us get back onto retrieve the key we turned in and then back down again.
- 5/5
All great!
- 5/5
Very clean and Comfortable
- 5/5
Staff was extremely helpful, check in was excellent. Everything went smoothly!
- 5/5
It's always very clean and GREAT location
- 4/5
Staff was very helpful and my stay was wonderful.
- 3/5
The first day we went down at 9,10 and it was over at 9 am, second day we made it the 3rd day there was aproblem in the kitchen and no breakfast and we left a day earlier and both the hotel and Expedia refused to give us a credit, so not a winner experience.
- 5/5
The room was excellent clean and a nice view the breakfast was great 👍👍👍
- 4/5
Rooms on the other hand require attention , carpet smells dusty as soon as you walk innthe room.
- 5/5
Felt very welcome.
- 5/5
The staff was super friendly, and the room was clean! Great location.
- 3/5
Room dirty
- 5/5
My grandson and I stayed one night after my husband’s surgery at the University of Chicago Hospital. We had a wonderful stay. The room was spotless, comfortable, and the staff was very helpful.
- 2/5
No hot water available in our room. Only option we were given was to switch rooms to a queen room. Due to the fact that we are staying here for a follow up to my brain surgery 10 days ago, my husband and I cannot share a queen sized bed for fear of my head getting whacked. Now we are not even able to take showers in our room and were just told “sorry.”
- 4/5
Only complaint was the glass sliding bathroom door. The lock didn't work and it closed with a loud bang clang. More decorative than functional.
- 2/5
The reason for the poor review is that the staff at front desk let homeless in whom helped themselves to breakfast buffet and coffee station. It is unsanitary and not fair to paying customers. Its not a public place as the woman at front desk told me. Thats ridiculous! I didnt pay to eat at a soup kitchen.
- 5/5
Kim, at the front desk, was welcoming and helpful. She was sooooo kind and considerate!
- 5/5
I love the staff, and how they make you feel like a valued customer. Clean, friendly, and accessible facilities in a nice part of town.
- 5/5
Everything is great. Ill be staying here again in my next visit.
- 5/5
As always fabulous experience. Great customer service.
- 5/5
the room was spotless, and it was quiet.
- 5/5
The staff is always courteous, helpful, professional, and genuinely nice. I am there on a weekly basis and always feel welcomed. I appreciate how they value my business. Most importantly I love that their eyes smile like their happy to help.
- 5/5
Very. Enjoyed my stay
- 5/5
Yes
- 4/5
didn't have breakfast, bar needs an upgrade! drink selection, didn't have the ingredients to make a martini. room was great, non traditional front desk was confusing at first. But good stay. If you are in the area worth a visit
- 5/5
Friendly staff, plus clean, big, comfortable room
- 4/5
We didn’t do breakfast
- 5/5
It was an extremely nice hotel in an amazing area with lots of different varieties of restaurants besides it. The breakfast menu is amazingly good
- 3/5
The room was okay and clean. Our door was hard to open and my husband didn't want to report it because he said they would have known and chose not to fit it. The stuff are very kind and friendly.
- 5/5
Clean room and great staff!
- 4/5
Staff very good and rooms too. Halls a bit tired.
- 5/5
Rooms were very nice, big and extremely clean. Will definitely be making that out go to for all future trips to the Chicago land area
- 5/5
The location was perfect. There are many dining options in walking distance and also supermarket, drug store etc. The room was spacious and clean. Access to the city is also good.
- 5/5
Friendly and helpful staff
- 4/5
Staff was great and hospitable. I felt safe traveling there. Facility was clean and kept up.
- 5/5
I stayed here for the Chicago marathon. It was cheaper than being closer to the start of the marathon. The staff was friendly and helpful. The property was clean. It is close to the 51st/53rd train station to be able to get to the expo at McCormick Place. Public transportation to the start of the marathon was also possible and easy. There was a Whole Foods close by. There were a few restaurants within 1 to 2 minutes outside of the door. I felt very safe walking around this area.
- 5/5
Pool needs some improvement, also water is a bit cold
- 5/5
I just slept there. The room was clean, roomy and comfortable. The staff were friendly.
- 5/5
Everyone at the Hyatt went out of their way to make sure that our stay was perfect!!!
- 5/5
We didn't eat at the hotel but we're able to utilize a plate and plastic ware to hear up leftovers. The room was spacious and had plenty of space for storage. The bathroom was a bit dark but everything else was terrific!
- 5/5
The hotel is located in the historical Hyde Park neighborhood and with plenty of places to visit.
- 4/5
Very secure hotel (key card needed to access lobby or move the elevators in any direction.) Staff very courteous and professional. Our room frig didn't work, but not a big deal.
- 5/5
Great hotel, great friendly staff
- 5/5
There are many restaurants near the hotel, making dining very convenient. If you have business at the University of Chicago, this hotel is undoubtedly the first choice. It is 1 mile away from the bookstore of the University of Chicago. The parking is self-park, at $40 per day, and you can enter and exit at any time. Considering the safety of the surrounding area and the parking fee, this price is undoubtedly very good.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
I love the staff! Courtesy, kind, and very professional
- 4/5
The room was clean but loud from street noise.
- 3/5
While the staff was exceedingly lovely and kind, the property needs work. The bathrooms/tubs are dated with cracks in the ceiling, the pillows are not pillows but rather sandbags, ceilings throughout the property look dirty, light fixtures in lobby had cobwebs and were broken, the fold out sofa had a “mattress” that was 1 inch thick and squeaked with any movement. Cold be a great place with some TLC
- 5/5
The kindness of the staff and the pleasant lobby made our stay here wonderful. I also enjoyed the breakfasts.
- 5/5
We enjoyed being able to go to restaurants and bars within walking distance
- 5/5
Loved it
- 5/5
Center of amenities and convenience
- 2/5
No onevto help. Front desk wzs vacant. Couldn't figure out what to do. Really confusing.
- 5/5
Parking under the hotel was sooo convenient. Plenty of coffee around, McDonald’s next door.
- 3/5
When we walked into our room, the sofa bed was completely taken apart. And just halfway pushed back in, and all the cabinets were wide open, including the.Refrigerator. it was like somebody tore through there, trying to clean, but then didn't finish. It was weird. The rest of the whole the hotel seemed nice and the people were nice but that was the only weird thing. Trafficking the area is absolutely crazy

The staff at the check in desk were amazing!!
- 5/5
This is my go to hotel when in Chicago. It is located in the Hyde Park area and I have stayed at this hotel 4 times and will not stay anywhere else. The staff are amazing, the location works for me and there is plenty of restaurants as well as a movie theatre across the street as well as coffee shops and breakfast in the hotel. There is also a very well known cafeteria around the corner with great prices. Very clean and staff is very helpful and nice. Love this hotel.
- 3/5
Rooms, especially bathroom was very dimly lit. Wasn’t able to check in at designated check in time, no available rooms. Parking was nice once you found it. Have to check in before you can access parking garage
- 3/5
The front decks staff were not that friendly. There were a lot of extra costs like parking that we did not know about parking in that area. Cost us about $50 just for one night. The train is pretty accessible, which was nice.
- 2/5
Checked in late at night and front desk worker was rude. Did not greet us at all and acted annoyed she had to do her job. There was a drunk person screaming in the lobby, the front door was broken, and someone was sleeping with a blanket on the couch in the lobby. Lots of drunk people trying to break into business across from the hotel. Parking was not convenient. We slept a few hours and left as soon as possible because my kids were terrified.
- 4/5
Breakfast should be included
- 4/5
I was here with a friend whose daughter was receiving a special surgery at University of Chicago Hospital. It was an easy drive of about 5-7 minutes back and forth to the hospital so the Hyatt was definitely convenient. Parking here was $40 a night but again it was a very easy in and out when I needed my car. Lots of good restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream, etc were within walking distance. We both felt safe walking around the neighborhood which was full of students from the University of Chicago.
- 4/5
Nice
- 5/5
The folks were very kind and the location was excellent
- 5/5
Fantastic hotel to stay. Very nice neighborhood with lots of dining options. Conveniently located to downtown area. Staff was very nice.
- 3/5
the house keeping skipped my room many times. the facility is quite 'average', though it might be one of the 'best choice' in town
- 5/5
Close to the University of Chicago. The folks at the hotel were so kind and genuine . Was getting one of my kids moved in and this place and these folks made it easy !! Thank you
- 3/5
I DON'T like that we have to pay for breakfast
- 5/5
Its a nice place
- 4/5
Amenities were good, staff friendly and efficient.
- 5/5
Nice visit
- 2/5
torn, ripped chair seat in the room, worn-out carpet, flies in lobby area, uneven floor in bathroom in room for handicapped posing a risk for falling.
- 5/5
It was a perfect location for our needs. Many great restaurants & shops nearby. The staff were friendly & helpful. The room was clean & comfortable. The only negatives were no microwave in the room & no light near the full length mirror or makeup mirror in the bathroom.
- 5/5
Very clean great staff! Rooms are nice beds comfortable only thing I don’t like is the parking garage don’t mind paying for the parking but it would be nice if they had valet parking
- 5/5
And the staff is excellent.
- 5/5
As a continuous customer I appreciate the familiarity in knowing my name. The staff always has a smile, helpful with issues, and shows genuine care. The floor I was in had an odd smell, but that did not overshadow my overall experience. Will continue to stay here for my travel visits.
- 2/5
It was extremely hot in the halls and the event facility was in terrible condition, with temperatures reaching 90 degrees and above. The fans provided little to no relief.
- 5/5
Very nice property. Breakfast was great!
- 5/5
I really enjoyed my stay here
- 4/5
I don’t like the smell of the room . Like wet or mildew
- 5/5
Nice and convenient location for visiting downtown and surrounding areas
- 5/5
The welcoming staff and comfortable environment in the lobby/lounge area made the visit!! We could gather with friends, family, strangers and enjoy ourselves in the cozy chairs and sofas...felt like a home away from home!!!
- 4/5
I appreciated the covered armored door parking garage accessible only to those with hotel keycards with an elevator to the hotel lobby. It was well worth the parking cost in a neighborhood with little street parking. I don't think a full size truck would be able to fit there without a few scrapes. Keycards required to use the elevators. Check in is challenging due to no circle drive lobby area. Convenient location to walk to places to eat and 25 min walk to University of Chicago. Excellent front desk staff. The main bed mattress was extremely hard, fold out bed also uncomfortable. A bit of mildew in the shower, otherwise clean. Breakfast is an add on cost , but there were many good coffee shops nearby so we didn't try the breakfast buffet.
- 5/5
It was a little bit of a trick figuring out how to get to their parking (you have to check in first, then use your key card to get in and get out), but I really appreciated that after we checked out we could leave the car there until 3, so we were able to leave the car there while we did stuff in the morning. It took a surprising amount of time to get an Uber (13 minutes). There were a lot of food options in easy walking distance. The hotel also sells breakfast, but we didn't try that.
- 2/5
Extremely loud people next door in the middle of the night, violently arguing and woke us up multiple times with screaming children. I was also locked in the bathroom when I first got checked in, and maintenance had to be called to fix the door. Maintenance was kind and helpful but I am lucky to be with my husband in the room, or I would have not been able to get out.
- 4/5
The pool is by reservations which we didn’t know about. Luckily we were able to get in right away and my kids didn’t have to wait. My kids were sad that other hotel kids couldn’t swim with them. We also were kicked out of the pool at the end of our time when we didn’t know. The kids swam for a while and I was preparing to give them notice to get out… but I had to abruptly pull them out. It was a small pool however we just didn’t know the rules. It just was different from any other place we stayed. Overall the majority of the staff were wonderful and kinds and seemed to enjoy their jobs. The hotel seemed clean over all. We really liked the closeness to the metra electric. Easy to head deeper in the city.
- 1/5
I arrive late and told the place is overbooked, how does that happen!,i have no idea.
- 5/5
Staff was amazing. Super friendly and accommodating! Also in a great area with lots of food within walking distance.
- 2/5
They don't provide enough information about parking. If you plan to visit with your car, this hotel is not good option. Also the front desk is not helpful.
- 3/5
Very hot inside and hallways.
- 3/5
Parking for this hotel was a nightmare. We drove around in circles for an hour trying to find the parking garage because the staff did not give good directions and it isn’t directly next to the hotel. When we did find it, the key fob they gave us to get in the garage did not work. The rooms could have been cleaner. There were stains on the carpet and you could tell they just did a quick wipe down and sheet change due to the dust and debree on walls/windows/curtains/furniture. It wasn’t the worst experience but I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
- 5/5
Great property!

Excellent room spacious, clean, quiet, personnel were very welcoming and thorough! I do miss having bottles of water in the room. For the price of the room it seems a small thing to ask.

Great.

There’s a metro station nearby that we can get to Wrigley field for Cubs game. Only that the parking fees stated in the hotel description on Expedia as $30 per night but it is $40. A bit surprised.

The staff are helpful and personalable. The complimentary breakfast is served with pride. Normally I dont eat complimentary breakfast to me it not prepared with care but at Hyatt that is not the case. Breakfast is serve with pride. The front desk manager and Chuck. These representatives made us feel at home.

Since we didn’t have an option and had already paid $500 for the 1 night, we stayed. Unfortunately when we opened the pull out bed we found blood stains on the mattress, the blanket in the closet was wet, and had no extra pillows. We called the desk again and asked for a new blanket and more pillows and were told “we don’t have any right now. We closed the pullout andy son slept on the couch cushions with a sweatshirt.

Work out facility a joke

The location is excellent and very convenient. During check-in, I noticed that the woman with glasses at the front desk—who I believe may have been a manager—was a bit short with the young man assisting me. When I checked out, she helped me directly. While she was efficient, her demeanor could have been warmer and more welcoming, both to guests and staff. That said, the rest of the team was very hospitable and contributed to a pleasant stay overall.

Outstanding Customer service

Our bathroom dispensers for shower gel and shampoo were empty so we let the front desk know about it. The maintenance guy couldn't replace the bottles, so he just left the new bottles on the bathtub rim. He said his supervisor had the keys and would change the bottles. No one came and we had bottles lying on the bathtub rim for 5 days.

Only place I will stay when in Chicago and plan to stay there again this summer.

I’ve stayed at this hotel 5+ times over the past decade, and sad to say, this hotel has really gone downhill. From the stained in-room furniture, to the dingy, worn (and stained) carpets, to the indeterminate smell in our room that they were trying to mask with some sort of very heavy air freshener - the signs of the lack of care are everywhere. To add insult to injury, we went downstairs on our first morning to get a bagel and some fruit from the previously free breakfast “buffet”, only to discover that they started charging $11 per person! $11 for the usual cheap breakfast buffet staples of yoghurt, unripe fruit, processed bread-like products, and sad hot items (scrambled “eggs”, paper thin bacon, etc.). You could tell that the staff at least had the good grace to be embarrassed about this recent development. Not beyond saving, as the location is great and the building itself in good condition, but they need to take steps ASAP to mitigate.

This is more of a self-serve kind of stay: if you need coffee packets or a refill of any room amenities, the receptionist instructs you to come down to the lobby to get them yourself. The one time staff delivered towels up to our room, they were moist and staff refused to take our used ones back, saying they would "grab them later." If you make no requests, though, everyone is very friendly!

Lady that checked us in was great.

The room was very nice and clean. Comfortable beds and pillows. The only thing was the toilet paper was very cheap and horrible. But everyone and everything else was perfect. Definitely will stay again!

This was a great property and friendly employees! The only issue was the air conditioning didn’t work great and it was a bit too warm in the room.

The property was nice

The staff were consistently friendly and helpful. My only complaint is how hot the hallways were, it seemed as though no air was flowing in the hallways on the guest floors. The breakfast was $11.00 and was surprisingly decent for a hotel buffet style breakfast.

I love how kind the entire staff is. You are greeted no matter what time of day you come into the hotel. The hotel is clean and smells good.

Location worked well for us working at the university. Parking was expensive and the garage is tight. You need a reservation to use the pool because apparently it’s “too small” to allow guests to just use it. Complimentary coffee & tea was out for a very limited time. No lotion in the rooms as part of the amenities. Just an overall average stay at an expensive rate. They really should try to do better for the price.

Lovely hotel in a wonderful area. Walkable with many restaurants and amenities nearby including an art gallery and a state-of-the-art workspace. The hotel staff members at Hyatt Place are kind and friendly and they will tell you where to find all the good food. Uber from ORD will cost around $50 midday on Friday. Great place to stay.
