I enjoyed my stay immensely! The Guesthouse Hotel is a hidden gem in Chicago, will be utilizing their accommodations on my return trips!

We stay here every time we come to Chicago. Great location, excellent rooms, the staff really make you feel at home. I wouldn’t ever consider staying anywhere else!

Absolutely beautiful property. Lovely views. Spacious apartments with everything you could need. One of our favorite places we have stayed.

Parking was easy close and secure - on the property with a garage door closer. We received an upgrade because of availability, and had an awesome covered patio overlooking the cemetery walking path. The location was within walking distance of many shops, restaurants and comfortable bars; we walked to a concert at the Riveria Theater and to the Magic Lounge for the cabaret magic show. So fun! Nice beds, bedding, and towels. Full size refrigerator for our beverages, coffee in the morning. Didn’t need the well equipped kitchen because we enjoyed going out. Loved the hotel and the neighborhood! Can’t wait to go back!

Everything was kept very nicely and I loved the spacious suites! Much better than a standard hotel room and definitely not more expensive. We were there as a large group so it allowed us to gather in one space and enjoy our time together even when we were not sightseeing. The bedding was super comfortable and the kitchen had all the essentials. The staff was very nice and always helpful.

Location was walking distance to our venue. Covered, private parking is a huge plus (make sure to reserve ahead). Room was great and the perfect size for 2, We enjoyed using the balcony. Location was quiet, no issues with neighbors.

From the front desk to the room to the neighborhood. All amazing.

The main television in the Living Room did not work and the staff could not fix it. Also, we called the front desk for assistance with the fireplace and asked four times if a staff person could assist, and instead the clerk kept reading the same directions we had. Thy would not come to address the issue. We eventually figured it out, but to beg for service was not pleasant.

My room was very large, like an apartment. The TV instructions were clear, the bed was comfortable as was the temperature.

There was only one bad thing, 4pm check in. We called months again to see if they could do 2pm / 3pm, they said there not much they can do. On the day of arriving, I tried to explain that we had an 445pm appt. I hope they can change to 3pm local time for others.

We love staying here. It is within walking distance of our daughter’s apartment and the full kitchen is a huge bonus as we are both on a special diet. The decor gives an added overall cozy feeling. We especially loved the huge throw in the closet!

The location was great, and the room we stayed in was fantastic! The staff were super nice, and overall it was a great experience. The paid parking was a great option, as it was a spot in an actual garage. I expected it to maybe be an open lot or something, so this was way more secure than I had thought it would be. Honestly, not much could be improved! The layout of the hotel is split up and so I did end up in the wrong hallway at one point, but it was easy enough to get myself back where I belonged.

Character and size of units We were told that the rate we received through booking was a mistake. The staff almost seemed upset of “error” and was unwilling to consider extending our stay by one day despite it being a weekday.

We loved everything about this hotel! It was so cute and rooms were spacious and the layout was incredibly kid friendly even with our chaotic one year old! They had everything we could have needed and more. We literally loved everything.

Super cute place, extremely clean, impeccable actually. The bed I found terribly uncomfortable. The pillows were amazing, the mattress was a big problem. The other issue was the water dispenser in the fridge, it didnt work, just an inconvenience having to go to the front desk for bottled water. The gentleman at the desk was helpful.

Incredible location! One of my favorite hotel stays ever. All needs were met! Everything you could need was provided in the kitchen. Great selection of local drinks for sale in the lobby, lovely touch! Lobby is so gorgeous and inviting!

My room was enormous - the size of an apartment! It was well appointed with snacks available for purchase and clear instructions posted for using DIRECT TV, hotel guidelines, etc. I appreciated how clean and comfortable everything was and the staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside was parking - while I appreciated it being covered and private (you are given a remote control and assigned a spot in a garage behind the hotel), the alley used to access it was covered in ice and it was challenging to navigate, especially when cars were coming in both directions. Hopefully when the weather is better, this is not an issue.

This was a beautiful hotel! We enjoyed walking to nearby restaurants and shopping. Plus, we had our private tour pick us up right in front of the hotel. It was also within walking distance to the Aragon Ballroom, where we attended a concert.

The staff was outstanding. The Luxury Suite was over the top wonderful. The location was / is perfect.

One of the French doors on the middle bedroom would not close. The door needs to be re-hung or the latch on the frame at the top of the door adjusted. My son just switched rooms. No big deal, but thought you should know.

Clean, large rooms with everything you need. Nice lobby and gifts available. Had a noisy neighbor above us that didn't get the memo on quiet hours. Constant running and stomping during odd hours.

Nice sitting area. Good supply of shampoo, conditioner and lotion. Good coffee and tea in room and lobby. Like being located in Andersonville. Some street noise in bedroom. Water could have been hotter for showers. One shower had low water pressure. No coffee or tea in lobby until 7 am - not good for early flights.

Lovely Maid walked in our room no knocking nothing at 9:30am wasn’t happy with that. Wasn’t offered compensation or anything.

It’s across a cemetery which made the stay a little eerie.

Coziness, cleanliness & location. Checkin time was too late at 4pm, yet check-out was earlier than industry standards at 10am. No 1 BR units were available, so we had to book a 2BR unit, and having a 6 hour difference between check-in and check-out seemed a bit excessive based on room rates.

The hotel itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and in a stunning location that made it easy to walk to so many great spots in the city. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially for families or anyone traveling with more than one person, as the space and amenities are perfect for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I’m truly grateful for such a positive experience and will absolutely return on my next trip to Chicago!

A very charming, conveniently located (Andersonville) boutique hotel. The suites are large, clean, & comfortable. Take note, however, that there are NO TVs in the bedrooms. The shower water pressure was pretty weak, as well. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The lobby and staff were very inviting. The suite itself was lovely and perfect walking distance from the venue of the show we came to see. Check out was a little earlier than I’m used to.

The Guesthouse Hotel is peaceful and spacious. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable. Everything is in excellent repair and aesthetically pleasing. Staff is sincerely friendly. Highly recommended.

The 3 bedroom apartment was awesome - very well equipped and beds were very comfortable. Extra points for the steam shower which was very welcome in the Chicago snowy weather

We have stayed here twice and absolutely love it. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. The staff is helpful and responsive. This area is very walkable and there are many great restaurants nearby.

Incredibly helpful and friendly staff. Check in and check out a breeze. Everything you could need for an overnight or an extended stay! Loved the collection of local items in the kitchen and the discount for showing your room key at the nearby Jeni’s!

I have only one complaint, and it is that the bed was a bit lumpy. Otherwise, it's a lovely property and the employees are friendly and helpful.

You're gonna say, "OMG across the street from a cemetery? next to an auto shop?" But this place is wonderful! Great library. Comfortable lounges. Spacious accommodations. Super friendly and helpful staff. Truly excellent accommodations. If luck is on my side, this will be my lodging whenever I visit Chicago.

Very spacious and open space

Spotlessly clean and very, very comfy. We walked in fresh from a stressful few weeks and walked out totally rested and ready for whatever’s next. The lobby is very pretty and welcoming. Everyone in the staff we had any contact with was delightful. Loved the neighborhood. Entire shopping up and down the street and music at Green Mill. Highly recommend all of it!

The hotel itself is limited in amenities. No breakfast or restaurant. No pool or gym. Otherwise, we loved our apartment.

Wonderful accommodations and staff. About 1.5 miles from Wrigley (we walked there), in a great neighborhood that is adjacent to other great neighborhoods, and close to the Montrose Beach. Helpful hint - all the crazy traffic for Wrigley is south of the stadium. Can take public transportation into the Loop but we found plenty in this area to do and see. Old Town School of Folk Music has amazing music in its performance hall nearly every night of the week - it is 1.5 miles away with easy parking in that neighborhood as well. We will be back!

I wish I could give 5 stars, but the windows do not block any noise from the street and so our sleep was not good at all. It honestly was so noisy it felt like the windows were open. :/ We would stay here again, but we'd bring a white noise machine and earplugs to block out street noise next time.

We stayed at 3 BR. Very clean and a main bathroom is amazing. A car is definitely needed.

It’s not just a hotel room, more like a beautiful condo. Staff was very friendly and cheerful. So many amenities in the area with so much to see and do. Within walking distance of the Aragon.

Home away from home is what you feel like when you enter in one of these lovely rooms. The garage was an extra nice bonus.

The place was cute enough, and the staff was great! The HVAC was terrible. There was no airflow, I felt like I couldn't breathe the entire time I was in the room. The overhead fans are set to pull air upwards instead of down, so they were no help. The bathroom lighting was terrible. Two lights over the sink, the sink was so large I couldn't get into the light. The bathroom was also very small, you couldn't stand at the sink and have anyone else enter the bathroom. The only room with natural light was the living room and there weren't any mirrors. Add some mirrors!

This property was great fantastic location, spacious and clean. We came for a visit to Loyola but it was also very easy to get to downtown Chicago. Will be back again.

Clean, classy, well-equipped residence suites. Enclosed ground-level off-street in the rear. Each assigned garage door opens to two parking spots. Lots of local places to easy nearby. Nice gourmet deli/grocery half mile away.

The two-bedroom suite was spacious, comfortable, and nicely equipped and furnished. Even though it was only in the low 40s outside, I enjoyed having my morning coffee on the room's balcony overlooking a cemetery. Being able to park in the semi-private garage just behind the building added to feeling of staying at a home rather than a hotel.

The hotel was perfect for our weekend stay with friends. Clean, friendly, great location within walking distance of our destinations and the El stop! And in a neighborhood that felt safe. Would 100% stay there again.

They upgraded my room to a 2 bed 2 bath and it was lovely. Room was clean and quiet. Ceiling fans in both bedrooms, which I appreciated. Walking distance to Aragon Ballroom and several bars. Staff was friendly and helpful. I actually never saw another hotel guest during my stay.

This property is perfect for families that want the convenience of a hotel and the convenience of a home. We stayed in a 3 bedroom suite and had access to everything we needed at the property. Everything was clean. The instructions provided to access parking and any specific needs was easy to follow and perfect! Looking forward to staying there again next time we visit Chicago!!!

I absolutely enjoyed my stay at the Guest House. I will be staying again the next time I am in Chicago. Friendly staff and comfortable and clean housing. We could not ask for more!!!

Accommodations and room were excellent. Some hiccups with checking in, since the room I had reserved was not available, but was upgraded free. Room I was assigned unfortunately close to the stairwell, so during the nights I stayed my sleep was interrupted by the sound of people taking the stairs.

Loved staying here and look forward to doing it again the next time in Chicago!

Wonderful Hotel!!

The space was clean and contemporary. We were greeting by a lovely staff every time we came and went. Check in was easy and gave us some great advice for parking (we decided not to use there parking services). The location is a walk away from several restaurants, we were a quick uber ride away from Wrigley. We’d stay here again and bring friends along. Thanks Guesthouse for aiding in making my fathers 75th birthday trip successful and memorable.

Where to begin?? Best hotel experience I’ve ever had. Gorgeous, huge rooms with actual spaces and hallways and really cool art throughout the whole property. Parking is not just a space but a garage space and it’s an easy drive from ORD. AMAZING STAFF!! And a great neighborhood with lots of LOCAL businesses. Go to Simon’s for a beer… trust me.

It is a home away from home experience where everything under the sun was thought of :-)

Great little hotel

Zoe is the BEST! If she is at the front desk, be assured you'll be taken care of with awesome Chicago hospitality. I was able to check-in early without issue, which was important as I had several work calls to conduct. This is such a unique building really close to several lovely businesses. Street parking is free after certain hours, and the parking is ample. There are garage spaces at the rear of the building for an additional cost, which I did utilize. I walked to a local Italian restaurant for dinner and enjoyed the stroll in the neighborhood. The accommodations themselves were extremely well appointed, clean, well maintained. I even had a little covered balcony / patio which I sat on frequently during my stay. Cannot recommend enough!

Wow, what a cool place to stay! Was a little surprised it was right across the street from a cemetery, but no ghosts in this place. hehe The staff was welcoming, the room was VERY clean and spacious and the neighborhood is nice and walkable. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing stay here. The hotel is so adorable and cozy, we loved having the little patio/deck and the sun coming in through the front windows. Beds and pillows were perfect. There was quite a bit of noise from a downstairs (we believe outer door) closing all night when we were sleeping but other than that everything was fabulous. The staff was great!

Absolutely delightful! We stayed for 5 nights and felt like we were at home! Enjoyed the full kitchen and ability to cook. Downstairs library and lobby areas very comfortable. Spent one day working in the library as there was construction going on next to our apartment. Appreciated the dog friendly space and ability to have my granddog stay with us while my daughter moved from one apartment to another. Shout out for amazing hospitable staff! AND an amazing selection of wine, beer, spirits and gifts for purchase at good prices! Hoping to return again and again!

We had a quick one night stay in Chicago to see Beabadoobee and chose the Guesthouse hotel due to location to the riveria theater and it did not disappoint. The location was perfect but the hotel was also perfect. The staff were friendly and professional. The room was clean and spacious - so spacious we loved our little house. There are also plenty of food options near by and the train station is a quick walk, and never felt unsafe when walking at night. We would definitely come back to and choose to stay at the guesthouse hotel again.
