Reviews
The hotel is highly praised for its proximity to Wrigley Field, with many guests staying for Cubs games or concerts. The staff is frequently commended for their kindness and attentiveness. However, several guests express dissatisfaction with the cost of parking and breakfast, and some find the rooms noisy.
- Excellent location near Wrigley Field
- Kind and helpful staff
- Expensive parking and breakfast
- Noisy rooms
- 3/5
It saddens me to leave a mediocre review for such a beautiful and expensive hotel. Unfortunately my experience wasn’t great. The bed was much too firm. So much so that I woke up several times with my arms asleep. Also there were a few very loud guests talking as they passed my room. I expected this at a lower end hotel.
- 4/5
No restaurant, bar closes at 11
- 5/5
Only issue is parking. Not clear signage but it’s off Clark street look for big on building. Once you leave u pre pay but pull all the way up to exit doors or they won’t open spent 15 minutes figuring out how to trigger the exit Fabulous pregame or other entertainment area for snacks and drinks pre game. Unassociates Mordecai is great for dinner and steingolds for bagels and coffee.
- 5/5
Great location and staff were very helpful.
- 5/5
The staff was incredible; friendly, accommodating, and helpful! The room was wonderful too, clean and so peaceful! The view of Wrigley Stadium is unmatched! The parking garage convenience made the stay even more comfortable with the ability to explore around the areas and still travel out to a same and secure parking and any time. Chicago as a whole was beautiful and next time I return I can’t think of staying anywhere else!
- 5/5
Amazing location to catch a game and walk around Wrigleyville. Rooms where clean and spacious.
- 5/5
Beautiful views of Wrigley field. N/A
- 4/5
Bed wasn't comfortable. Couldn't sleep. Also the noise from the bar area traveled through the vent in the bathroom and could here people talking all night.
- 5/5
Attentive staff--especially doormen and valet parking staff!
- 1/5
We had high expectations based upon the ungodly amount of money it costs to stay for just one night. Parking was difficult to get into as there were cones blocking it off. No valet service. We had to find someone to allow us into the garage. Check in was at 4pm, perfect for us as we had just ended the game at Wrigley Field. Our room wasn't ready until nearly 6pm. They gave us 4 free drinks from their bar. An hour into our wait they offered us 2 free appetizers, but only after I politely asked since our guests were getting hungry. As a result of this we missed our dinner reservation as we were not able to get into our room and freshen up after the game. The two appetizers held us over as we refused to spend more money in this hotel and was too tired to gonfind food. Once we got to our room it was warm. Thermostat read 65° but never kicked on until we had maintenance come up to check the unit. He instructed us to not touch the panel and he promises the room will cool down fast. They offered us a fan but the room never cooled off. Morning showers were nearly unbearable as the heat and moisture grew thicker and thicker. No windows to crack open. No microwave. No refrigerator. We loved the convenience of walking across the street to the ballpark. However, we will never pay to stay here again.
- 4/5
Loved the location for our event. I was a little sad the rooms did not have mini fridges.
- 4/5
The hotel is perfect for Cubs fans, nothing more convenient. Very clean, nice shower & bathroom. Beds are comfortable. Staff is friendly. For the price, not worth it for people who aren’t going to games. The room doesn’t have a fridge or coffee maker. Hotel bar is very cool, but also costly.
- 5/5
This hotel is so nice. It is the perfect location with the perfect view of Wrigley Field! We couldn't be happier.
- 5/5
Loved the free coffee and tea until 3pm. The bar on 2nd floor by the lobby was enjoyable for a quick drink and appetizer. Comfortable setting and overlooked Wrigley field. They offered a upgrade without us asking :) Room doors closed loudly. Noticed in early morning hours the most.
- 5/5
The hotel was very clean and a great location as I was in town to attend a Chicago Cubs game. Directly across the street from the stadium and great dinning establishments in walking distance.
- 5/5
Location
- 5/5
Clean room and great location
- 5/5
Within throwing distance of Wrigley Field.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel with a friendly staff and very clean rooms! We were there when the Cubs weren't playing, so it was easy to get around without game traffic. Also, unlike a lot of other hotels, they didn't treat the Expedia reservation as inferior. We had a nice room with a view of the field.
- 4/5
Very nice to walk to the ball game.
- 4/5
La persona que nos atendió al llegar fue muy frío, despota . Se sintió su xenofobia hacia nosotros ( somos latinos) No volvería
- 5/5
Room was clean and comfortable
- 5/5
Very friendly and clean
- 5/5
loved everything! everything was good for us!

- 4/5
Clean room, attentive staff
- 5/5
The location across the street from Wrigley is absolutely the BEST!!!!
- 5/5
We were visiting my son and the hotel is within walking distance to his home. Refrigerators available upon request, not one in the room unless you request.
- 5/5
Great location. Lots of character.
- 5/5
Clean spacious rooms. Everything works.

- 5/5
A favorite spot in Chicago. Excellent location and amenities. Staff is always professional and courteous.
- 5/5
The location to our venue was perfect!
- 4/5
The view was spectacular, the room was perfectly sized and roomy as well as very comfortable and conveniently located for our needs. Unfortunately, the elevator was not working once we returned from our outing and stopped at the bar for dessert. We notified the front desk and were instructed to use the stairs, which we did not locate and instead used the service elevator. However, this was not an issue, nor did we dislike the fact that we had to use another way to reach our room. The staff was great and everything was overall wonderful.
- 5/5
We enjoyed everything about Hotel Zachary - the location right across the street from Wrigley Field, the neighborhood, the room, the staff, the 2nd floor bar and gathering space, the bagel shop on the first floor.
- 5/5
We had a great view of Wrigley Field after they upgraded our room. The bar had a great selection was comfortable.
- 5/5
Quiet comfortable room. Very clean. All staff we interacted with were pleasant and helpful.
- 5/5
beautiful hotel with great room and bar. lots of walking distance restaurants and safe area.
- 5/5
The Zachary is where we always stay when we are in Chicago.
- 5/5
Room was clean and hotel was very nice! Did seem odd that there was no mini fridge but it was all good!!
- 3.5/5
The location and the view were perfect for what we were looking for. We got a an extended late checkout which was amazing and we are very greatful for that. There wasn’t a mini fridge or coffee maker already in the room. There were a lot of runnings and doors slamming from guests that kept waking us which we needed to be up at 4am so was quite a nuance.
- 5/5
The staff was awesome! Very welcoming and efficient. Our room was very clean and functional. The view of Wrigley Field was terrific. The ballpark decor/pictures were really neat. I grew up just down the street from the hotel - it was like a trip down memory lane. A bit confusing on how to access Valet parking. Also, would have liked a small refrigerator in room.
- 5/5
Room was clean and in great condition. Came with all the standard amenities and some very swanky furnishings. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is in a very convenient location and offers both in-room, on site, and nearby breakfast and dining options. I stayed here in January and, while I was highly pleased with how quiet it was, I cannot speak to whether the same would be true when the event calendar at Wrigley Stadium is active. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
Staff were wonderful as always! Room was comfortable
- 3.5/5
there was no mini fridge
- 1/5
Located in an extremely loud area, near a fire station. Can hear emergency services from room. Was not able to sleep at all and staff was unable to partially refund me after I checked out one night early.
- 5/5
Great staff, phenomenal location. Room was not ready on time, caused a delay in plans. Staff was very apologetic though and more than made up for it.
- 5/5
Great location. Clean room. Pleasant staff
- 5/5
Top notch experience.
- 5/5
Clean and nice place to stay. Parking was pricey but we enjoyed our stay
- 5/5
They should knock for food delivery.
- 5/5
Pleasant stay. Right next to Christmas market in Wrigleyville and bus and train lines for the CTA. Great water pressure in the shower. Breakfast buffet option at hotel was nice to have. Plenty of other options within walking distance. Very walkable part of town.
- 5/5
Clean room, great staff, convenient parking, plenty of restaurants & bars nearby.
- 4.5/5
Location and view No fridge or coffee maker in the room
- 5/5
The staff at the Hotel Zachary is amazing. Every person we met was friendly knowledgeable and helpful. The hotel was beautiful and super clean. The rooms are spacious and the views were phenomenal
- 5/5
Excellent accommodations. Fun vibe, great location. There is nothing like thenZachary for Christmas fun in Chicago
- 5/5
Room was spotless. Very nice staff
- 5/5
Love the surrounding Christmas village and the front desk staff willing to go the extra mule
- 4/5
I pay a lot of money every year to stay here for a few days to attend a concert—usually the first weekend in December. Me & 3-4 other family members stay at the hotel. This is the Christmas w/ Santa weekend & no breakfast for hotel guests is available. The majority of the people going to that breakfast appear to NOT be staying @‘the hotel. I think it is very inconsiderate & frankly a rip-off for the hotel to cater to “Santa breakfast” patrons & completely ignore hotel guest’s breakfast needs. The first year we did the breakfast on Saturday & it was around $25-30. Last year it was $75 & this year I was $60. Surely you can figure out how you can offer hotel guests not wanting to do Santa Breakfast some form of breakfast or the buffet at a reduced cost if not doing Santa photos etc. We would gladly pay $25-30 for breakfast. Really inconsiderate& frankly a slap in the face for there to be absolutely nothing for your hotel guests to have breakfast on Saturday & Sunday mornings. Makes me to NOT want to stay there next year! We are very frustrated with this rude & very greedy attitude the hotel takes towards their regular hotel guests during this time of year. BTW—we frequently stay @ the hotel throughout the year so I would call us “regulars”! R. Bobbitt
- 5/5
The Zachary Hotel is very clean and the staff is very pleasant and efficient. The room service menu is a little confusing but it wasxan overal great stay.
- 5/5
Spacious and clean.
- 5/5
The staff is ALWAYS super friendly and helpful, truly exceptional.!! Also, the location is awesome! Stayed many times and never had a bad experience!!
- 5/5
Everything was perfect!
- 5/5
Staff, amenities and location was awesome for game at Wrigley. Bars and restaurants were on point and the staff was tremendous.
- 5/5
Room was very nice, as usual. We stay there often & it is always enjoyable. We only stayed one night rather than the two nights we booked due to the snow coming in on Sunday night & TSA/flight issues. I am trying to get a refund for Sunday night.
- 5/5
Room was spotless, hotel was quiet, staff was friendly and helpful!
- 5/5
great room, great staff
- 5/5
Chris, the bell man was amazing. So helpful in every way!!!!
- 5/5
The staff was amazing! They went above and beyond for our anniversary! The hotel was so clean, room services was great! We will definitely be back!!!
- 5/5
Loved the view of Wrigley field. Lovely hotel. Just a bit on the expensive side.
- 5/5
Amazing location to Wrigley Field. Steps away. Pricey but worth it for the location.
- 5/5
Great hotel right across the street from Wrigley (and we suggest booking a room with a view of the stadium).
- 2/5
The location. Finding information about/timing of services is impossible to find. And when you ask, the staff was incredibly condescending. The front desk lady actually laughed when I asked when breakfast ended. Pillows were useless & the mattress was as hard as a rock.
- 5/5
The location is a life experience that you must do at least once. It is right across the street from wrigley. You can eat, shop, go back to the room then head to the game.
- 5/5
Staff and facilities were great as always!
- 5/5
Clean and very nice room with great view of Wrigley.
- 5/5
Centrally located
- 5/5
The design was fantastic in an amazing location with staff that was exceptional. There’s nothing I can say negative
- 5/5
Location to Wrigley Field N/A
- 5/5
We stayed for the location, Right across from Wrigley field. Since i have some trouble walking it is ideal
- 5/5
Nothing
- 3/5
First hotel we have stayed at that did not have a fridge or coffee maker in room. For the price I would of expected both as other hotels aways have a fridge and coffee maker in room.
- 5/5
Everything about this hotel was amazing! Will definitely stay again
- 5/5
Convenience
- 5/5
Everyone working was very friendly. The room was comfortable, and no issues.
- 5/5
Meticulous property and an awesome location right across from Wrigley. What a combination!!
- 5/5
Exceptional hotel in one of the best locations ever! Couldn’t have asked for much more!
- 5/5
The breakfast and the proximity to Wrigley Field.
- 5/5
I enjoyed that the hotel was so close to Wrigley. We stayed overnight for the Chris Brown concert. I also enjoyed the area surrounding the hotel. There were so many restaurants to choose from. Since there was a concert the parking was expensive and limited but I understand because of the surrounding area that parking was very limited. Over all it was a good experience.
- 5/5
It was always a place that I would like to stay at and it did not disappoint!
- 3/5
This beds wear very uncomfortable and my back was hurting the next day.
- 5/5
Our stay was perfect. Great people and great location!
- 5/5
Great decor. Lovely rooms with decent space. Good restaurant
- 5/5
Nice stay
- 5/5
Love!
- 5/5
Easy and allowed early check in. Valet was good.
- 2/5
For the money it cost you would think that everyroom had a fridge .they dont also why do fancy motels never have locks on bathroom door,or shower curtains clear glass is not everyones cup of tea.
- 5/5
Absolutely incredible. Paid for the view of wrigley field and did not regret it. As a life long cubs fan, this gave a new perspective to Wrigley and a tremendous fan experience.
- 5/5
Staff was wonderful. Bar and location was outstanding . Beautiful view of Wrigley Field
- 4/5
We choose the hotel because of the location across from Wrigley Field. We loved sitting outside on the deck and the service was great.
- 5/5
Great Place!
- 3/5
For the price paid, room was minimally equipped; no microwave, no refrigerator. Were not allowed into the bar after the Cubs game. Beds were very comfortable and we had a great view of Wrigley Field.
- 5/5
Only disappointment was not having a refrigerator in room
- 5/5
Great location and modern.
- 5/5
Under constructive suggestions; The hotel need to do a better job with a commissary. I can't be the only customer to not remember contact solution.
- 2/5
Never received room service

- 5/5
Nice place and convenient to Wrigley field. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
The establishment receives a five-star rating. The staff exhibited exceptional professionalism, providing a welcoming and amiable atmosphere. The assigned room was spacious, offering an optimal view, and maintained impeccable cleanliness and convenience. Their dedication was particularly evident during the week of the Stray Kids concert. The experience fostered a sense of comfort, enhanced by a complimentary breakfast and an extended stay for this initial visit. The location provided convenient access to various dining options, including restaurants and fast-food establishments. Future stays at this location are anticipated.
- 5/5
Beautiful and very well maintained hotel with spacious rooms and a very friendly staff.
- 5/5
Amazing Hotel! It was very cool to see all the staff wear Stray Kids merch while Stray Kids were in town!
- 5/5
Beautiful with a great location
- 5/5
Our stay was amazing they helped us get our car parked as we arrived really early for the game and they didn’t mind. They even held our bags in a safe place while we was at the game so we didn’t have to go out and get them later. Then they had the room ready early. The most I liked about it would be we didn’t realize my special needs son left his tablet and they was nice enough to mail it to us
- 5/5
Great and convenient
- 5/5
Room was spacious and well kept. Wasn't fond of the entry and lobby being open to LOUD club music. $28 for a cold breakfast buffet. Was only provided 1 human sized towel for the shower, but add'l towels were promptly delivered.
- 5/5
Absolutely amazing! Will be back and excited to enjoy another stay in Chicago
- 4/5
Also housekeeping knocked @ 8:30 am Woke me up - checkout wasn’t until 11am. Why?
- 5/5
Friendly and attentive hostess and serving staff at Alma.
- 5/5
When we booked, the only room choice was a "Junior Suite," which, I admit was larger than we needed. The balcony view was superb, but it was a bother to walk so far from bed to desk to closet to bath...just sayin'. I suppose it is a distinction to have a stereo system, turntable and a few choices of vinyl in a hotel room, but it is more a novelty than something likely to be used. Still, it was a great stay, and I'd return when next in Chicago; I'd just try to book a standard room.
- 5/5
Awesome atmosphere! Excellent service.
- 5/5
Very close to venue, nice bar area and room was nice
- 4/5
Interesting decorum, friendly staff, great location for a sports fan.
- 5/5
Fantastic all around
- 5/5
Loved the vibes and location
- 5/5
Great view of wrigley. Quiet on the 6th floor, comfortable chair!
- 5/5
The place was beautiful! The room was very cozy, and the common space was awesome, with the fireplace and the pool table! We went to a Cubs vs Phillies game, so the hotel was extremely Convenient to Wrigley field.
- 5/5
Excellent customer service, there to go to giants/cubs baseball game. Right across the street
- 5/5
Best place to stay when going to see the CUBS.
- 5/5
We love staying at the Zachary when we come to the city. We love its location and the room with an amazing view of Wrigley field. We also liked the food options in and around the hotel. We love this place and will be back!
- 4/5
It is a beautiful hotel in a great location. We have stayed there 4 times. I only gave it four stars because the vibe has been negative every time we checked in. It’s not the friendliest establishment. We plan to find a new spot for our regular trips to Chicago.
- 5/5
Loved being across from Wrigley Field!
- 5/5
Great place!!
- 5/5
Loved the boutique style and very clean and well maintained!
- 3/5
It is really a nice hotel. The problem is Noise! It is a very noisy area and the slamming of doors! The walls are thin! The price for rooms are not justified.
- 5/5
Only down side was that the cubs were not in town!
- 5/5
Great location. Service was very good. Rooms were very clean
- 5/5
Was in such a fun area of Chicago.
- 5/5
Hotel Zachary was very nice! Would stay there again.

- 5/5
Awesone stay. Great location.
- 5/5
Clean, quiet, nice decor, lounge
- 5/5
We went around Valentine's, and it was wonderful. Parking gave me a little sticker shock, but considering it was underground and secure, it was worth it. I brought my dog, and the staff was very welcoming. The hotel's location was perfect for walking to the bars and the Alamo Drafthouse.
- 5/5
Was a great place very welcoming
- 5/5
Loved the historic decor and baseball theme
- 5/5
The hotel is beautiful, but the real standout is the staff. They were just really nice.

We enjoyed the spacious rooms, the hotel bar, and the accessibility to our daughter’s apartment. We will definitely be coming back to stay at our next visit in Chicago.!
- 5/5
Incredible stay!!! Staff went above and beyond, amazing room and view! We loved our stay and will stay here every time.
- 4/5
Small room, expensive parking, drinks at the bar, and breakfast.
- 5/5
The staff is super friendly and helpful as well
- 5/5
Fabulous hotel and view of Wrigley!!
- 5/5
I loved the location and the amenities. We were in town for the frozen confines so the Zachary couldn't be beat. The parking was easy with the valet, and I liked the restaurant area in the hotel.
- 4/5
Beautiful hotel lobby and restaurant area. Modern, industrial vibe. Spacious room overlooking Wrigley Field. Good workout facility. We were on the third floor and could hear the bar music below us until midnight on a Saturday night. That was the only drawback of our stay. A room on a higher floor probably would have helped the sound issue.
- 5/5
Simply amazing!
- 5/5
Great local
- 5/5
The Zachary Hotel is top notch. From the moment you walk in to the time you leave. The rooms are very clean & comfortable. We will stay here again! Thank you.

- 5/5
Staff friendly and extremely helpful. Hotel beautiful and clean. Convenient to great restaurants and shopping. Will definitely be staying here again!
- 5/5
This was my second time staying at this hotel. The location was perfect for the activities I had planned. As a solo traveler, I appreciated how close it was to walk to my destinations and how easily accessible it was to the trains to get me there from the airport. I felt safe walking around alone, which is a huge selling point for me. Hotel staff was always around and cleaning. I love this place. I’ll definitely be back to stay again and again.

Everything was wonderful
