Reviews
The Willows Hotel is a historic boutique hotel in a great location with friendly and helpful staff. However, some guests have complained about the small room sizes, outdated decor, and lack of amenities such as breakfast and parking.
- Great location in a safe and charming neighborhood
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Small room sizes
- Outdated decor and lack of amenities

We loved the location! We were able to walk around and feel safe and walked to wrigleyville.
- 3/5
I was not aware that my room was not larger than two feet on each side of a twin bed. Very disappointing when I saw another room I paid the same price for that was nearly twice the size. We had to put our suitcase on the minibar. Maybe okay for one. Great service, especially attentiveness from the staff.
- 5/5
So cozy. We felt like we went back in time. And very clean!!!
- 4/5
Great location for Cubs games or concerts at Wrigley.
- 5/5
Mostly a very nice staff. Property was great.
- 4/5
The room was smaller than expected. I won't book that size again! The staff checking us in was less than friendly, but the rest of the staff were very nice. They keep ice water stocked in the lobby, which was great! There were also fresh baked cookies one afternoon.

The cleanliness was actually pretty good. The building is a repurposed apartment building so room and layout could be better. Overall our stay was very pleasant. Close to small restaurants. Parking available in public parking building one block away.

The bathrooms are overdue for a redo. Grout in the tile floor does not seem to be able to get clean anymore. Bathroom was very small as well, difficult to maneuver in without shutting the door. Other fixtures in the hotel were in need of repainting. And the shades in the rooms barely kept out any sunlight.

Friendly staff and great location. Very clean but the finishes are tired and heavily worn. Past time for a refresh.

The hotel is in a great location and the staff were incredibly helpful. The room was large and clean but slightly dated. If you are looking to stay in Lincoln Park, I highly recommend the Willows Hotel.

I enjoyed my stay. The staff was incredibly nice and assisted me with directions.

The location of this property is amazing! I was 2 blocks from Lakeshore drive an amazing trail system! The rooms are small but they are enough. The warm cookies were very nice but breakfast, or something light for breakfast, would have been nice.

Love this cute little hotel!! Close to lots of yummy restaurants and walking distance to Lincoln Park zoo and Wrigley.

Overall 3 stars is the best I can do. Overpriced - but still the cheapest rooms around the area. Basic "dark" room. The shade for the only window in the room had one small tear. Rooms on the first floor look out into a parking lot with people walking around, so best not to open it. Carpet was ok with a few rips here and there, but were sewn. No exhaust fan in the tiny bathroom. Nice location - take a right out of the hotel entrance and walk straight to the lakefront for exercise and sightseeing. Wrigley field 1 mile walk north. Plenty of restaurants and a grocery store - Mariano's short walk. Mini fridge was stacked with approx. 20-25 hard liquor, soda and craft beer available for sale. You must empty the entire refrigerator to put your refrigerated items in and restock. Oh! snacks to buy covering the counter and small desk. I earned a free bottle of wine shown right on the Expedia receipt "1 Free bottle of wine per stay" never offered or received it at check-in. I don't drink wine, so not an issue. However, if you earned a bottle of wine - don't forget to ask for it because the front desk either does not know of the free gift or wait for you to ask. Bring Expedia receipt for proof.

Front desk was very helpful. Wifi worked just fine for work calls. Hotel is older, but kept clean.
- 2/5
The staff! They are the redeeming grace. The floors creak and croak. The place is stuck in the distant past. The staff really try, everything works but everything is so old it smells of old age.
- 4/5
The room was difficult to stay cool. The hotel is in a perfect location, close to restaurants & bars. We walked to Cubs game!

Such a wonderful area/place to stay. Also, the staff is always there to make sure your stay is nothing but the best! We are looking forward to our next visit:)

This charming, vintage hotel was exactly the stay of our dreams. It's a great price in a wonderful neighborhood. The staff was so kind and they even had cookies out in the lobby during the day. I'm thankful a hotel like the Willows exists in Chicago, staying there made our visit that much better.

Very quaint boutique hotel in a very quiet residential neighborhood. Staff was very friendly and helpful, always greeted us when we came in. Easy walk to all kinds of shops and restaurants. Room was clean and fairly updated for an old hotel.

Very nice, charming place to stay. Rooms are cozy and the neighborhood is great with lots of options to walk too. Parking is impossible so you will have to use the paid garage across the street.

The nighttime staff was the most rude and honestly scary individual ever. This hotel was a nightmare.
- 5/5
Parking is an issue but there are lots with availability and street parking
- 4/5
The staff were all very nice and attentive. The location is great! Because I was on the top floor, it was quite quiet. The hotel rooms need to be updated. The ironing board looked like it was 50 years old. It had stains and no padding left. Also the bathroom mirror was corroding, due to moisture. The room had a musty smell, as well. The tiny mini-fridge has so many mini-bar items inside that you can't use it for your own items, unless you take everything out and put it back in. No coffee maker in the room. The heat is also radiator heat and the A/C is a wall unit. Because the weather was rather cold during my stay, I was fine, but I wouldn't want to stay there in the summer time. The wall unit wouldn't have been enough.

- 4/5
Staff was great, rooms were clean. Walls are very thin.
- 3/5
Quiet Upon checking in the front desk staff(individual) was extremely rude.
- 5/5
The lack of central air was my main issue with my stay here. The room was hot and the cooler there wasnt very good at circulating fresh air in the room.
- 5/5
A cozy boutique hotel in a great location! There is no designated hotel parking, although, there is a public parking structure directly across the street that’s literally a 1 minute walk away from the hotel.
- 3/5
The location was good and it was clean. The house keepers were so nice and gave us clean sheets and towels every day per our request. Wifi is included. Some of the staff wasn’t friendly. There was no hot water and coffee most of the time. The bed sheets were horrible and my husband woke up on the mattress because sheets came off the mattress. They charged us for taking stuff from mini bar; however, we didn’t consume any item from the mini bar. There is no parking for the hotel, but there are public parking garages close to the hotel.
- 3.5/5
Location! Whimsical vibe! Parking close by Musty smell in hallways - probably due to very dated carpet
- 4/5
There was one front desk staff member who wasn’t the most pleasant, but luckily I only encountered him once. The other staff members more than made up for it with their great customer service. The amenities were fairly limited. There was no room service, housekeeping, or breakfast available, so it’s definitely more of a basic stay. Because of that, I think this hotel works really well for a quick trip or short stay. Overall, I had a positive experience and would stay here again for a short visit, but if you’re planning a longer stay and want more amenities, you might want to consider other options.
- 4/5
Other than that, it has a great location. The staff was friendly and it was clean. It is an older building.
- 5/5
Kind staff and very cleans rooms.
- 5/5
Friendly Staff, Great location!
- 3/5
I was surprised to see how close the bed was to the door. The room above ours was pretty noisy, it sounded like a herd of elephants stampeding around the room at different times in the night. It could definitely used some updating. The trim paint was peeling off in our bathroom. I asked at check in if I could have a late check out for Noon and the guy at the desk said that would be no problem. I received a rude call at 11:10 telling me checkout was supposed to be at 11:00am. I told her the desk last night said I could check out late and she said there were no notes of it but she did say ok, but then I felt rushed to get out of there.
- 4/5
The room was very clean and staff were helpful and polite. The only negative was the clanking sounds brought on by the radiator which were quite loud and obnoxious. Overall a good place to stay.
- 3.5/5

Room was spotless, nice and cozy.

Good location, cute lobby, nice staff, close to public parking. Difficult spot to get luggage in and out of.
- 4/5
Such a cute and convenient spot. We enjoyed the large room and the neighborhood. Quirky decor in an historic building.
- 3.5/5
Location Internet was inconsistent, no coffee in the room!! Had to get dressed to get my morning coffee. No continental breakfast- necessary in winter weather
- 4/5
Clean room and staff
- 4/5
Best sleep I had in Chicago hotels! Good room, soundproof windows, great location. Loved the presence of the doona covers. Loved that the housekeeping was on request, not mandatory. If I have to nitpick, the room was a bit dated and could do with a thorougher pre-arrival clean.
- 4/5
We really liked the location. A lot of restaurants in walking distance. Parking garage and metered parking close by. We didn't like the room configuration. The bed was close to the wall without a night stand so you had to scoot or climb down to the bottom of the bed to get out of it.

Clean. Friendly staff. Great location
- 5/5
Great location, clean room and welcoming hotel. Front desk staff was great and having snacks and mini bar in room for reasonable prices was awesome. We will definitely stay again.
- 4/5
Also, there is a misunderstanding about parking on the Expedia site. It is not near and not provided. It is a half a block walk in the dark, in the cold, with an extra charge. The hotel itself is nice, but this is a 4 star rating due to the issues mentioned.
- 1/5
They said they couldn’t move my room so I was stuck in the cold room. Place was old and run down.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly, room was spacious and clean. Location is close to a parking garage and a lot of good restaurants

Yes. It was great. Clean room, helpful staff.

The bugs in the room. Along with the room needing a serious remodel
- 2.5/5
Location was fantastic. Neighborhood is lovely. We got a standard room. It was very, very small. We will likely try again, but definitely get a larger room
- 4/5
The location was very close to so many restaurants, shops, transportation stops and other conveniences. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. Just small things such as creaking stairs and not enough light in the room.
- 4/5
The location was good. The room was clean You had to request housekeeping and when you did request it you didn’t get it. Our garbage cans were overflowing, we had to constantly ask for clean towels and there were 3 of us and they would only give us 2. We had to also ask for toilet paper
- 5/5
WiFi wasn't good, but thankfully I didn't have much work to do at the hotel.
- 5/5

I am writing to formally complain about my recent stay at The Willows Hotel, which was extremely disappointing due to both front desk staff behavior and unacceptable room conditions. Upon arrival, the front desk staff member was immediately rude and unprofessional. She answered a phone call while checking us in and left me standing there for an extended period without acknowledgment. When we politely asked whether a top-floor room was available, she responded that nothing was available because we had booked what she described as “the cheapest and smallest room.” The implication and tone were unnecessary and condescending. During check-in, I briefly stepped away while my wife remained at the desk. When I returned, I asked my wife whether she had received the room we requested. At that point, the front desk staff member interjected and told me, “You need to be patient.” This comment was entirely uncalled for, as I was not speaking to her, nor was there any impatience on my part. The entire check-in process was miserable, and despite the attitude we received, we were still not given a top-floor room because, as we were told again, we “get what we get” since we booked the cheapest room. Once we reached our room, it was extremely cold. We contacted the front desk and were told to turn the knob on the radiator and that the heat would come on. We did this correctly on both radiators, yet the room remained freezing. We were then forced t

Staff was nice and a great location

Room was clean and service was good. Good restaurants close by. Coffee machine in lobby could have been updated. M&M ‘s in room were old
- 4/5
Clean room. Very small, older, but cozy. Location was amazing. Actually the location was the best part. Lots of restaurants , shops… Very charming hotel with character. Kind of higher priced but definitely would stay here again. Friendly staff as well!
- 5/5
Perfect location. Love the neighborhood
- 5/5
No we had heating issues
- 5/5
The room was a great size and very clean. The downstairs is gorgeous as well, and it feels like a very safe hotel with the double locks! We had a very nice stay here.
- 2/5
I understand The Willlows is an old building, but the room was too small and not very clean. Also, the front desk person at check out provided poor customer service.
- 3/5
They made sure I initialed the section where you agree to not smoke in 3 different places. Went to my room and it literally reeked of smoke. I went back downstairs to be told they had no other queen rooms and I would have to upgrade for a king size which was extra $10 a night so I did even after being told it was difficult to do so. In general the place was very clean. But if you’re looking for a true boutique hotel this is not it! Bathrooms are old and need serious updating, pink tile! Carpets are also old. But I will say the bed was extremely comfortable and I had a good sleep.
- 4/5
Good price and very nice lobby. Rooms clean. Very small. Very old but ok for a couple nights.
- 2/5
The front desk staff were cool and not helpful when we asked about where parking was available. When I went to call the front desk because there was no shampoo, I found the phone unplugged with no cord to plug it in, so I had to go to the desk. The water in the shower was like warm. The whole property is tired.
- 5/5
Very clean, staff was super nice and the beds are big and comfy. The water pressure of the shower is literally perfect as well. I will definitely come back here in the future if I'm ever in Chicago.
- 5/5
Very nice stay.
- 5/5
Awesome in all areas,,,ESPECIALLY in office staff.
- 5/5
The hotel is a bit older, but the room was very nice and clean! In the BEST location. It was very convenient to walk around -- many food places and stores (CVS, target).
- 3/5
Not enough to do within walking distance
- 5/5
Center of many thing to do & parking was convenient
- 3/5
About the only thing we liked about this hotel was the location for a race at Montrose Harbor park. Definitely dated but the room was clean. Horrible motion activated fluorescent light in the bathroom that came on along with a very loud fan whenever you walked in or by the bathroom. Not great for a middle of the night visit. No coffee maker in the room. Lukewarm coffee in the lobby. A lot of bangs and creaks. Really crappy pillows and a super thick comforter on the bed. Woke up drenched. Shower water pressure very low in one of our two rooms. Parking not bad in a Park Chicago garage a 3 minute walk away.
- 5/5
The room was comfortable and the experience was nice. As an architect, I noticed a few small finishing details in the bathroom that could be improved, but other than that, everything was great.
- 5/5
The hotel was nice. The parking was safe and just across the street and very easy to navigate. There were plenty of eating options in the surrounding areas.
- 5/5
We stay there when in Chicago for Cubs games. Great neighborhood, good access to running area, and easy walk to Wrigley Field.
- 2/5
Area was walkable and staff were nice.
- 4/5
Stayed here multiple times. Great neighborhood.
- 5/5
Small quaint hotel in nice area with shops and restaurants.
- 5/5
Great place
- 5/5
We found our new Hotel while in Chicago. Front desk attendant very helpful and friendly. Quiet, clean and very charming.
- 4/5
Staff is great, building is old and tired and could use updating. Location is ideal in the Lakeview East neighborhood.
- 5/5
Everything was great, good nearby parking, easy check in, no issues, very safe area
- 3/5
Very safe
- 3/5
This is an old hotel building. While it has been renovated somewhat, it is not the same as modern hotels. The rooms are small and feel crowded with furniture. The bathroom fixtures are old. The room was fairly clean. The lobby was dusty. The tea and coffee available in the lobby was awful (just go out into the neighborhood, there are lots of options). There is the usual mix of overpriced mini-bar snacks in the room. The staff is disinterested. When I arrived for check-in there was no one at the front desk. Waited 7 minutes for someone to appear. The bed was comfortable and it was mostly quiet at night. You get what you pay for. If you are looking for luxury, it ain’t this place. If you don’t mind the small rooms and just need a safe place to sleep, it might work for you.
- 5/5
A hidden gem. Great location, great place to stay!
- 4/5
good
- 3/5
Property itself was quaint, but staff was not as warm or welcoming.
- 5/5
Clean room | Staff | Shops nearby
- 4/5
Good, solid, basic accommodation. No frills, no breakfast, room cleaned only on request. Pleasant, walkable neighbourhood close to bus lines. A decent choice if you want to be in North Eastern Chicago.
- 5/5
You cannot beat this location. Tucked into a gorgeous neighborhood & easy walk to Wrigley field. Staff feels like a friend. Seriously. Always felt very safe. - It feels like a well worn home. Not dirty but not quite clean? Not modern at all if you’re into that. No breakfast. No coffee pot in the room. We will definitely stay again based on staff & location
- 2/5
I was quite disappointed with the room. It was closer to being a closet. There was very little space to put anything out for use and the bathroom was super small also. No parking was available at the hotel. In fact I can't say there were any amenities at all. On my way to Chicago, I stayed at another hotel that provided parking, pool, workout room, continental breakfast and a free beer coupon. Also the room was at least twice the size of the one at the Willows. And all that for 1/3 the price of the Willows. I see no reason to want to return.
- 4/5
Quiet and safe neighborhood.
- 4/5
Rooms can be cleaner.
- 2/5
The bed was horrible - sheets and mattress cover did not fit- too small! Bed was queen sheets and mattress cover appeared to be a full size. Mattress and pillows old and lumpy. You will wake up with back issues. Hallway and room rugs dirty. Desk clerks didn’t look up or acknowledge when we arrived or departed for day ( except today when we checked out at 6 am on 9/25.) 4 nites booked - really wanted to leave after 1 but we prepaid. Bathroom absolutely no place to hang clothes or put toiletries. We love the location but …Did I mention they have coffee in lobby - but it was put out at different times - one day 6:30 another day 6…
- 1/5
The only positive note came at checkout. The gentleman working the desk that morning (a white male, unfortunately I don’t remember his name) was polite, helpful, and professional. If I had been greeted by him when I first arrived, my experience could have been completely different. Sadly, because of the lack of hospitality at check-in, I will never stay at this hotel again. Chicago is a great city, but The Willows Hotel was not the right choice for me.
- 5/5
Nice room. Great location.
- 5/5
Room was nicely sized and very clean. Staff was attentive and friendly. Check in and out was simple. Would stay again.
- 3/5
This hotel is old so the toilet is not in the best shape, need to hold the flushing for 5 minutes but still toilet papers not going down so you will need to stand there and wait for the tank to refill water and flush again! Air conditioning is an older model so not much options to adjust the temperature…. It’s either low or high No parking unless you prepaid for overnight parking which is very close to the hotel
- 5/5
staff was welcoming and accommodating.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel in the middle of a residential neighborhood. Vintage charm. Very safe neighborhood. We will be back!
- 3/5
I would not recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
It was clean and quiet.
- 4/5
Nice Stay!
- 5/5
Hotel located in a wonderful area with lots of restaurants from which to choose. Immediate area is easily walkable
- 3/5
Neighborhood had unique buildings
- 5/5
The hotel was very comfortable - especially liked the robes!
- 3/5
Front desk guy appeared to care less about his job. It showed upon check in.
- 5/5
The Willows met my expectations, based on previous reviews that I looked at. Its an older boutique hotel, so expect some smaller rooms and bathrooms. Overall the room was clean and comfortable, and the air conditioner worked just fine. Overall a good option in the Lake View area if you're not looking for luxury.
- 5/5
This Hotel was cute and comfortable. I love that it si right in a great neighborhood, in Lincoln Park. Love Front night clerk, he was super cool. The room was nice and cool for
- 4/5
Some staff was friendly and helpful. Limited amenities. Quaint and convenient to where we need to be when visiting!
- 5/5
Friendly staff and very clean rooms.
- 5/5
Great location and clean
- 3/5
The room looked nothing like the photos.
- 5/5
Quirky small hotel in a great neighborhood of Chicago. Perfect to walk to Cubs game.
- 3/5
The hotel itself was okay, the front desk service upon check-in was very uncomfortable
- 2/5
Staff at front desk was rude repeatedly. No coffee pot in room. Steps inside the desk area so unable to take luggage cart to car outside. We’re elderly and it was very difficult. No assistance. On ice disperser for 4 floors of rooms. Disappointing. We will not stay here again!
- 5/5
We were only there for one night, but it was so clean and comfortable for our stay. It was the perfect size for the two of us and all our needs were provided for. The only thing I wished we had was a chain lock or another additional lock on the door for safety purposes.
- 5/5
Reasonable neighborhood hotel with a long history. Clean quiet, and accessible to many neighborhood venues, as well as easy walk to Lincoln Park.
- 4/5
There was a super sweet receptionist when we arrived (evening of 8/14) who assisted us with dining suggestions around the area & answered all of our questions (he was friendly and professional). This is how most of there staff was except for one woman who snapped at my friend for asking for extra towels (on the night of 8/15) maybe she was just having a bad day but she was not very helpful or hospitable (and actually came off as quite rude). Overall it was a clean and comfortable place to stay despite the interiors being a bit dated. I just wish they would update the bathrooms a bit and add some counter space or shelves to it for placing items. Otherwise, I would probably stay here again as the location was pretty neat!
- 5/5
Love staying at the Willows. Location is great. Lobby is very welcoming

The hotel rooms were old and very small bathrooms. No room at all in the bathroom to turn around. Every time we get back to the hotel never any water. The evening guy had zero customer service and no attention to detail. The rooms were musty ! Great location poor quality and not even close to a updated hotel.

Check in was great. The lobby was super cute. This is a very old building. There have been updates but the bathrooms are still dated. Walking in your room was muggy and stale. We turned up the window unit. When we got back it was better but still not great. The location was amazing. Lots of great restaurants in walkable distance. For the price I thought it was a good value.

Air conditioner ver noisy- kept cutting out then restarting

Excellent

Area around hotel was quiet and safe.
- 5/5
Loved it! Close to wrigley!

The age of this facility and what you receive was way below the value of $600/night that I paid. I was actually really shocked, but had limited options to find a place to stay in that area. I will not stay at this property again unless it is more like $150 per night. It is a dated facility, cold coffee and a bit musty because of the old carpet.
- 3/5
It was really hot outside and our room was not very cool so we were uncomfortable. Besides that it was a nice stay.

We loved this historic hotel. The staff was fantastic. It was clean. They had robes and a full and pretty reasonably-priced minibar and snack selection in the room. Our only issue was that the bathroom light was on a motion sensor that was set on a timer for about 3 minutes, so the lights kept going out when we were showering. Walkable to Wrigley. Great neighborhood. We felt safe. We would stay here again!

The hotel is well-maintained and the staff is very attentive. I would stay at The Willows Hotel again. Note: I am waiting a refund of the USD 100.00 deposit paid at check-in.

Great location. Lively neighborhood.

This is a great spot

We had some terrible luck with the hotels we booked on this trip - the first one was out of hot water, and the second one we couldn't even check into because there was no front desk staff and they tried to charge us an additional $130 on arrival thru text. We quickly booked the Willows Hotel at the last minute, and it was a night and day difference. The concierge was waiting for us when we arrived, and helped us get checked in fast and easily. The staff was friendly and the rooms had a lot of space. We were traveling with 2 young children so this was key - they loved it and want to come back to stay. We will definitely stay there again!

Great boutique hotel, right in the heart of Lakeview neighborhood. Very convenient for us on our trip. I highly recommend this property
- 5/5
Check in was fine and room spacious. Parking is sparse around area and parking garage charges $25 each time in or out.
- 4/5
An in-room coffee maker would be convenient

This is an older property, but it is still a nice place to stay. When we were assigned our room (309) is smelled really bad. I am not sure if it was mold or the room just wasn't clean, something was not right. We checked with the desk clerk who initially said that there were no other rooms available, but at our instance, he was able to find a room in the property. He was not exactly the most engaging or helpful staff member. The day shift guy was great, so take that for what it is worth. This property is located close to lots of shopping and dining. This is the second time I have stayed in this area of Chicago, and I would stay here again because it is safe and clean. The rooms have a mini bar if you like that and some treats for purchase in the room. Beds were very comfortable.

We picked this place due to location. We were able to easily walk to a Cubs game! This place is super cute and quaint, though it needs updating which I read in previous reviews… overall it was still a good place to stay and we would stay again!

Great location! Great neighborhood! Reasonable price. Quiet.

I had great stay at property. I was only in town for 2 days the location was perfect
- 5/5
Loved everything about this place! Gorgeous room, fantastic location, very nice staff. Definitely will stay here again.

Service was awesome, everyone is friendly, the only bad experience i had was the first night i got locked out of my room because the door stopped working. I had to have someone manually come up and open my room manually every time until the next after noon where they called me and offer to change my room, the cost of the room for that first night was over $400 which was way over priced. The hotel is really old and you can tell from the hallways, elevator, and the restrooms. My rating is based solely on the hotel and not the staff. The staff was great and very helpful.

Helpful staff, clean room, terrific location!

It’s so damn cute!

Clean, older building, friendly staff. Very convenient. Nice location.
- 5/5
Stayed here to watch a Cubs game. Easy to get around and quiet, tree-lined street. GREAT AIR CONDITIONING! (It was 98 degrees when we were here!)
- 5/5
Good shower pressure, comfy bed, good location near restaurants that could be safely walked to. Parking garage across the street. 100 yr old hotel with decor to match. Overall good stay
- 3/5
Good location, lobby area pleasant, spacious room, appreciated the fitness access and free coffee/tea/cookies, radiant heating in bathroom nice but should not have been on during summer, AC in wall unit loud and didn’t cool room very well, shower pressure pretty low but serviceable, generally clean but a little run down.

Great location!
- 5/5
Cute & clean.
- 3/5
The old building gave it a quaint feel, but the room itself was tiny; very little room to move. The bathroom was very narrow and hard to move in, and it was very humid as the air didn’t flow well.
- 4/5
We liked the location of the hotel and it's old school charm. The hotel seems a little musty and needs to be freshened up a bit.

First day in

It would be nice if the bathroom light wasn’t on a motion sensor. Providing fruit, yogurt, juice and muffins at breakfast would be a huge plus.
- 3/5
Price was way to expensive
- 3/5
Age of property shows. For the price I would expect a better experience.

Great location and great staff!

Loved the atmosphere and the staff was very friendly.

Excellent boutique hotel. Great big rooms with charm, adorable lobby to relax in. Would def stay again.

Location

Clean in a nice area compared to a lot of areas in Chicago parking is close but not free. I on the Internet I signed up for a king size bed with a sofa. I got two queen size beds, so yeah covered everybody sleeping arrangements but it just wasn’t what I reserved.. VIP benefits. The bottle of wine wasn’t even cold or chilled and I didn’t even get a choice of a white or red it was just red wine. Staff was super friendly, helpful.
- 3/5
Very quaint and very very noisy. A little dingy but rooms were clean. Not a bad stay for the location/price.
- 4/5
Quiet, had what we needed.
- 5/5
Great boutique hotel. Great neighborhood.
- 4/5
Quiet area in a beautiful neighborhood. Many places to eat within a few blocks. Our room was clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are small and need to be updated. Staff was friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Lovely little hotel tucked away from all the hustle and bustle of the big city
- 5/5
The Willows has an older charm unlike other hotels. They were also very accommodating to our needs.
- 5/5
The gal at the front desk was amazing! The property had great history and character and slept like a dream. Walking distance to Wrigley Field, save neighborhood and convenient to other locations. Would stay here again and recommend to anyone.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and very comfortable beds. We enjoyed our stay here.
- 2/5
Bright white towels, always nice, but….the two wash cloths had stains on them. Really have to question the housekeeping here.
- 2/5
In the pocket of the bathrobe was a dirty razor. That itself is concerning but the fact it means they didn’t wash the robes before we got the room is most concerning.
- 5/5
Good experience
