Reviews
The hotel is currently undergoing major renovations, which has led to a mix of positive and negative experiences for guests. The staff is generally friendly, but the management and customer service have room for improvement.

Overall it was a pleasant stay. We didn’t travel there for the hotel so there were no unexpected surprises. I wish the pool was heated since there is no spa. it would have been nice to take a dip and the water feel icy cold.

I wouldn’t stay there no more the bathroom was dirty The toilet had hairs in dry pee still the shower from here as well. The sofa bed was dirty had a lot of hair under the AC. The carpet was rid of water.

It’s a newer property so everything is modern and up to date. According to Booking.com, there were three beds total. A king bed in the bedroom along with a sofa bed, and a sofa bed in the living area. There was only the king and sofa bed in the living area. My two adult children had to share the sofa bed which isn’t that comfortable with two adult men. The hotel is also off the freeway. Our room was on the side where you hear all that freeway traffic. It was pretty loud and it was hard to get a good rest when you’re hearing traffic all night. We tried putting white noise on our phones but that didn’t mask the freeway noise. If you’re a light sleeper, consider that when booking or ask to be stay on the opposite side of the freeway.

First of all the room did not have a view, when checking in we were asked where we wanted at the end the room had no view. Secondly we were asked if we wanted to join membership, we received the 10 bucks credit but could not use as the cafeteria closes at 10am and our check out 11a , and thirdly the tub keeps getting clogged very gross.

The front desk was very good services, everyone make the best for me and my family. Everything was perfect mo complain.

Very new and clean, has an indoor pool, a bar, a nice lounge, and a 24 hour gym. The rooms are nice and comfortable too very clean There’s wasn’t anything I didn’t like
- 5/5
Hotel remodel was very nice and clean. The bar and starbucks is a great addition. Only down side is the $200 deposit. Other hotels in the area charge $20-50. $200 is a bit steep when that money is needed
- 5/5
I was given a room of the extra needs.

definitely a more dirty marriott compared to others i’ve been to. i hoped that the hotel theory of them not washing the comforters daily just the sheets was false but i guess that should be expected from big companies to do half butt things. grateful they had extra sheets in the closet almost like know……..

Staff was pleasant when arriving late at night from the airport. Enjoyed the soft bed, comforter, and plush pillows. The entire room, including bathroom, was clean. The temperature was perfect when walking into the room.

There is no Bonvoy amenities. No water in the rooms or robes. There is no balconies. It is a just ok hotel. Clean and polite staff. Lots of parking as well. And live streaming.

Liz, Rex, Lata were so nice and professional!

The rating showed a 6.2 but that had to have been before the remodel amd hotel chain buyout. VERY nice hotel, staff and services.
- 5/5
Room was perfect condition.
- 3/5
Everything was closed for a remodel. Their was no seating downstairs or outside. The bar and pool were closed as well.

Honestly, I’m not happy because on the Hotels app is showing breakfast and showing pool and Jacuzzi a drive two hours to a soccer tournament for my son and I was thinking after the games to go to Jacuzzi to relax you can even sit on the couches on checking area because they have a big sign where it says not allowed to use it

I reached out to this hotel the day of my reservation also to Expedia because I need to cancel Friday night and still go Saturday the weather did not permit us to travel. I am 5 hours from the hotel. I have stayed here multiple times the past 4 years. The manager gave me the run around, said she was not contacted I spoke to her 4 times in the phone. I drove all the way there Saturday because I was told via chat that hotels.com was going to get my reservation updated. None of that happened I arrived in Chino Hills with my children and was turned away by the manager that didn't"hear" from me or hotels.com (not true) I had to scramble to find a place and spend the money for Hotel Chino Hills AND a new hotel. Being a loyal customer means nothing to this hotel, again I have stayed here atleat 1-2 times monthly. Manager is a liar and lied right to my face knowing she answered my calls the day before, anything for a buck!
- 1/5
Manager is horrible
- 4/5
It was nice, but it was under construction and it smelled like paint every time i walked through. the bathroom wall was lifting a bit near the sink but overall it was clean and a nice stay.
- 5/5

Clean room , friendly staff ❤️
- 1/5
We stayed 3 nights and all 3 nights the fire alarms went off between 8:30-9:00 pm. our nephew got scared and we were startled and awoken. How can that happen 3 days in a row? The rooms had some stain on the couch the showers did not have the containers for the shampoo , soap etc. just the brackets, there were still drywall patches in the bath ceiling and the door to bath was falling off. No Blow dryer, iron, iron board or hangers were in the room. no extra blanket or pillows. When we called on the second day of the alarm, the staff did not even apologize. Total dissappointment for the 3 days we were there.
- 5/5
Great hotel! No amenities at the time due to the construction.
- 5/5
They are under construction so things were a little closed off but it was a beautiful hotel still and the room was great.
- 1/5
Under repair, remodeling whatever. We were never notified when we booked our stay. It never said that on the website. People at the want to be front desk said it was and continued to argue with us that it was. It wasn’t the case. The pictures on the website showed a completely different picture than what we saw. Nothing was available like stated. Lobby wasn’t even ready for guests, rooms were barely nice. Bed was horribly uncomfortable. Wires hanging out everywhere, construction workers everywhere with hazards everywhere. No pool like shown, no breakfast like shown. Overall awful stay. Very unhappy.
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff is super friendly. AC works very well. Building is under construction right now, but got a great rate.
- 4/5
Was woken up due to needing to move my car. Parking lot was under construction…
- 1/5
The facility was not adequate. It was still under construction. Breakfast was not provided like advertised on your application. Couldn't find ithe hotel because the name was changed or was called a another name before. And there was no information in regards to the name change. There was no shower curtain and staff had to bring one and put it in.
- 5/5
Very good location
- 1/5
Under remodeling.
- 3/5
The hotel was under serious construction and didnt mention this before hand
- 5/5
I always have. Great stay in this property. Staff are very nice and the check in is really fast. Thank you Chinohills hotel.
- 1/5
The dates for my reservation were wrong and they refused to let me change the dates. Also, no one answers the phone when you call.
- 3/5
I usually don’t write on reviews but I need it for this one . Front desk staff needs to be more friendly , smile a little more to their costumer . When I would ask for a question they would seem bother to answer you . Another then that even thought is under construction it was a good stayed .
- 3/5
First room I was given, the door latch was not working, door wouldn’t close. Second room, there was not even a mini bar of soap to wash your hands!! Definitely not what I was expecting
- 5/5
It was under renovation dust and construction everywhere only 1 floor available and nothing was else available
- 1/5
Hotel was under construction, dust everywhere. No facilities are available. No maid service. No clean towels.
- 1/5
This hotel is still under modification, the lobby and main entry are mess up due to construction and no sign to where to check in. it is unsafe.
- 1/5
Nothing
- 1/5
Condition of the hotel was horrible no breakfast pool was out of commission has been for months poor customer service zero reguard for safety or cleanliness horible place to stay will never return
- 1/5
It sure would have been nice to know the hotel is going through a complete renovation BEFORE I got there. Major to the point I couldn't use the front door. It won't happen again.
- 1/5
Reservation with Chino Hills Hotel. All markings on building said Marriot. Upon entering the lobby discovered that the entire hotel was undergoing major renovations. The lobby walls and celling were completely cover with bare sheetrock. The floor were covered with plastic. A single desk and computer served as the only furnishing. After registering went to my room to discover that there was no electricity. Went back down the hall and elevator both of which were covered in plastic to the front table. To the person there that I had no electricity in my room. She then told me I needed to put my room key in a slot in a box on the wall next to the door. I told her that would have been nice to know before I went upstairs to my room. Went to bed and around 12:30 a loud alarm sounded for about 10 seconds. Still not sure if it was the smoke detector or fire alarm. I checked out the hallway and out the window and didnot see nor hear anything. I then realized that there was no phonr in my room. after about 20-30 minutes i went back to sleep. Got up, showered and left never to retrun again.
- 1/5
Honestly it was terrible. The hotel was under construction and we never got informed. Never felt more unsafe in this hotel. Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night, not once but twice. No breakfast even though it says it’s included. The quality of the hotel room was okay, except from the drawers being broken. We kept hearing guests running thru the halls making noise at night, the hotels didn’t even give out water. Bad service wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
- 1/5
The hotel is under construction. Next time, I will not use it
- 1/5
I was lead to believe that the had a hot tub and the pic of it being a nice hotel but there was a lot of lose hanging
- 1/5
I stayed at this Hotel for 6 days. Requested housekeeping everyday and not once did they ever clean my room. I needed towels and there was no one to answer the phone for my request and when I went downstairs to the lobby there was nobody there. I couldn’t even take a shower on my final day there because no clean towels and no one to request them from. Horrible construction mess inside hotel with dust everywhere. Will never ever stay here again. I do not recommend. Highly unprofessional people.
- 3/5
Property is under construction. Front desk is messy and no breakfast during construction. There is nothing mentioned online or property is not informed ahead of time about construction.
- 1/5
They should be allowed to take customer when they are remodeling. It is dusty and awful. Never going back again.
- 3/5
no amenities and we were completely unaware the entire hotel is being renovated, sheets were not clean, room fridge was broken and desk was dirty and covered with stains. And yes, the hotel construction was very noisy throughout the stay.
- 1/5
Dirty bathroom pee on floor called the front desk asked for another room. She said they were sold out and would come up and clean the room 15 minutes later she came up with another set of keys for another room I feel I was lied to.
- 1/5
The whole place under construction 0 amenities down to some of the basics
- 1/5
They told us that the pool, gym are not in use and there is no breakfast as well, the workers started at 8am-5:30pm and most of it was under the room I was in. This was so unexpected and the property said that they would not refund or discount anything. I will not be staying there ever again and will not be using Expedia because they also did nothing afford me $50 credit on the website, unfortunately that does not help the situation now and for what I paid to stay at this location they should be doing something.
- 1/5
Not good
- 3/5
Carpet in my room was spotted in three places. Not enough toiletries for two people had to request them from the office no shower curtain and after a month, it’s still under construction.
- 1/5
Property was being remodeled and under construction, My first room was filthy, trash in the nightstands, pubic hair on the shower wall, and ants in the room (on the bed, walls, and desks)
- 1/5
Absolutely terrible! There was no ac or lights in the bathroom!!
- 1/5
Under construction dust everywhere
- 1/5
Don’t go!
- 1/5
This property is not what it says. Saying they are renovating is an under statement, you are in a full construction zone where you should require PPE. The rooms claim to be renovated, but are dirty with stained floors, hair in the shower and bathroom, and yellow pillows and dirty linens. They advertise a pool, fitness center, and free continental breakfast which is not available. The front desk is literally a desk with a printer on it. The front area is always empty with no one getting you. You have to go look for help around the corner where they are eating in what appears to be a break room or something. It was the worst property I have been to, once I found a replacement room we left. The manager Ruby is rude and claimed she would give a full refund, but then charged my card without even sending a receipt. The amount was more than one night plus tax and Expedia is not helping after repeated tries to get my money refunded, do not book here! Worst place ever!
- 1/5
Construction everywhere. No lobby, deck as checkin, rooms have no supplies. Sign states damage to vehicle around construction is not their liablity. All amenities are closed
- 5/5
Considering the construction at the hotel, we had a great stay. We would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
The stay at Chino Hotel was exactly what I expected. Very clean, staff was friendly and professional (and both hostesses were attractive) The hotel was doing some remodeling but I did not experience any noise from the contractors or remodeling staff. We will definitely stay at Chino Hills Hotel.
- 5/5
The room itself was modern and clean.
- 1/5
This property was under construction!
- 2/5
The pool was close to check in it took us about 20 min nobody was in the lobby i have to go look for someone to get help
- 1/5
This hotel is in heavy construction. Honestly this hotel shouldn’t be open yet. There was no lobby, no breakfast, the front desk clerk was using a pop out table and chair. I asked for extra towels and she told me we don’t have any. We tried taking a shower and the switch was backwards. Hot setting was actually cold and Cold was hot. I would avoid this hotel. Front desk clerk told me it’s been under construction for over 2 years. It’s shocking inside for $200 a night
- 4/5
We stayed for one night, staff was helpful and friendly, it was under construction at this time, we understand maybe not all services may be available but it was clean and we felt safe.
- 3/5
I enjoyed the room it was very clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
My room was quite nice and looked recently renovated. Paid $130 on a Friday on memorial day weekend. For that price, it was better than most hotels I use for business. The downside, the bottom floor and outside area was undergoing renovations so i didn't have access to anything but my room and parking space.
- 5/5
It was surprisingly pleasant, just ignore the construction lol
- 2/5
I was unaware that this hotel was under renovation. A lot of the amenities were not available and there were many parking spots close to the building that left your vehicle at risk for damage.
- 3/5
Room was very clean. I was aware hotel was under construction.. and no breakfast or pool available..
- 1/5
Hella dirty open bottle of liquor in room and no pillows
- 4/5
The room was comfortable The Hotel is under renovation so it was a mess every!
- 1/5
Hotel is under renovation and I was not aware of it. Everywhere inside smells like paint.
- 1/5
The hotel was all under construction. Handles in the bathroom were broken. There’s was no soap in the bathroom. And the WiFi didn’t support any devices taken for the trip.
- 4/5
Nice property considering its really under construction, it will be very nice once it’s completed.
- 2/5
To much construction going on and cheap continental breakfast
- 4/5
Under renovation . Very Noisy, next to highway
- 1/5
I had an awful stay at this hotel. First off, the fire alarm was beeping every 30 seconds. So I went downstairs and told the front desk, which they gave me a battery to put in it. No problem there. The next mourning the fire alarm goes off in the mourning and wakes me up. I jump out of bed and run outside the room in my pajamas because I was scared only to see no smoke and no one else outside there room. I get no call from the front desk explaining what happened, so I went down there to he told that sometimes the fire alarm “just goes off”. So I was woken up for no reason. I had an important event planned for that day and I was exhausted after being woken up to the loud alarm going off. So I got terrible sleep. I was so traumatized from this that I checked out the next day earlier than intended because I didn’t feel comfortable staying there anymore. Seems like they have a few issues to fix with the property. To make matters worse there was also someone yelling about car keys in the hallway at 1 AM. Cannot recommend this place.
- 3/5
The outside and lobby is horrible. Under construction. Watch for nails and screws in the driveway.
- 1/5
The hotel is under construction and all amenities are unavailable. The hotel website just says breakfast isn’t available on the main splash page. When you arrive they have a sign on the door that is poorly written and has spelling errors saying everything is unavailable. They also have other signs saying they are not responsible for any parking issues that may occur. I find it insulting they are still charging full price. The room was also missing the tea/coffee machine and ice bucket as well as safe that is listed on other sites. I feel this place is under different management and they are trying to run as cheap as possible. This is unfortunate. I drove 5 hours just to be stuck with this. Not happy.
- 2/5
There were several issues with the first room that we were given. The toilet paper towel holder was crooked and would not hold the paper when you used it. The towel rack was bent and damaged. There were stains on the carpet, some look like somebody tried to clean up dog poop, and there was two spots that look like a dog had peed there, and it looked like there was another incident where either wine or some kind of red drink was spilled on the carpet as well. Then they offered a second room in that room was missing the towel rack completely, and the table counter had stains on it. The young lady was very accommodating however, the rules were not satisfactory, even though it wasn’t her fault. There was no breakfast offered when we were told that we would have breakfast bags available because of the reconstruction. I had to ask if there was some sort of breakfast available, and the lady brought out an apple bag of small cookies and a small thing of yogurt. We were allowed to believe that the entire second floor third and fourth floor completely renovated when we arrived. But it seems like there was an issue of quality control in inspecting each room.
- 5/5
Nice room, only complaint is it was scary looking in the beginning due to all the construction
- 5/5
The staff went out of their way to go to the store and buy us herb tea that we only asked for jokingly.
- 3/5
Under construction
- 1/5
When we arrived, the entire hotel was under constructions. construction waste and debris everywhere. Of course the pool is closed. I didn't see anywhere indicating the hotel was under construction. We needed some water and we called the front desk. The phone was not working. I went to the front desk and ask for water. They said they don't have any water in hotel. Really?? So I had to drive to closest gas station to buy the water. I would never go back to this hotel.
- 5/5
Good
- 1/5
I'm really disappointed the pictures they have on do not match a hotel. It is under construction. The pool doesn't work. The whole hotel is upside down. Dirt is everywhere. My room was dirty. We had to book somewhere else. We couldn't even stay there. They wouldn't even give me my money back. My lights didn't work in my room. My shower didn't get hot water. my TV did not work. The air conditioning did not work. This place is so unsafe. I do not understand how this place is still open. Do not ever stay there this was my first worst hotel ever in my life. I was so disappointed. I had to move my family at 7 o'clock at night and find a new hotel. They really need to update the pictures.
- 5/5
Place was great. Easy to find and friendly staff
- 4/5
Thank
- 5/5
I love this hotel, but the construction is a disturbance. I'm sure it willbe beautiful once it's complete
- 1/5
I don't recommend staying here. No where in the description does it say that there is a ton of construction going on. Theres barely an entrance. The front desk wasnt very pleasant. We got into the room and it was gross. Hair on the toilet, blood spots in the toilet, and blood on the door. There was something about using your key card to turn the power on in the room? the AC wasnt working so we had to go down and she told us we had to fully reset it. We were woken up at 8 am to hammering by our door. No continental breakfast. Housekeeping wasnt very friendly. All in all it felt very uncomfortable being there.
- 1/5
Horrible place do not stay here
- 4/5
Under renovation, but, they worked around it..
- 1/5
staff was never present when we needed them, stayed for three nights and had to replace the keys twice because it would stop working, lights kept flickering, poor management, would not recommend.
- 4/5
Overall was clean. But very limited hot water in shower. I will stay there in the future
- 5/5
Nice place
- 5/5
The lady at the front desk was excellent. She had wonderful customer service!
- 2/5
Hello Year 1999 Internet! Beyond SLOW and constantly disconnecting - I may have lost 1 year from my life trying to download an 8 min low res video in about 7 hours!!! Called front desk and she was saying maybe because they are at full capacity ! Yeah right half the hotel is under construction and parking lot is empty! Room was clean and new but otherwise everything else down for construction.
- 4/5
Rooms are fine, all of the construction is not a pretty site!
- 1/5
Under construction it's insulting and should be illegal to be open.
- 5/5
It’s convenient for us to live here.
- 1/5
Basically stole my money because I didn’t stay your site did not inform me of renovations in progress and it was not safe to even check in. Worst experience thus far
- 1/5
We didn’t stay. Rafters around the whole building. Large trash cans filled with junk around the building. Doing construction on the whole building. Looked very unsafe! Should not even be allowed to stay there. Flying plastic paper on some windows, just horrible. Wanted our money back. Reception said to contact Expedia, Expedia said it was up to the hotel. Never got our money back. Will never use Expedia again.
- 3/5
This property is under construction. The outside is very unsafe.
- 2/5
Remolding going on, lot of noise, super dirty
- 4/5
Renovated room
- 3/5
The room was good. I was disappointed that there was so much construction going on and no amenities available (pool, breakfast, gym). It would have been nice to post on the website so guest are aware. If you’re looking to just get some sleep then it’s fine but don’t expect to enjoy the hotel.
- 5/5
Nice to live
- 5/5
Good attention
- 1/5
Tooich construction
- 4/5
Nice
- 5/5
Work in progress
- 2/5
The property was under major renovation which eliminated a lot of the parking spots and was noisy at times. The room itself was nice, but the water pressure in the shower was weak.
- 5/5
People there are so nice from the maintenance man to the ladies in the front desk , house keeping very welcoming. Love the stay here rooms are nice new everything love it !
- 2/5
En remodelación y no hay nada
- 2/5
Open walls. Construction happening everywhere at the hotel, but wasn’t mentioned when booked through Expedia. So very disappointed about that
- 3/5
I would have liked to have known the hotel was going under a full renovation. The pictures on the listing were not indicative of what the property really looked like. I’m sure it will be great when it’s done but that probably should be disclosed before booking
- 1/5
Is under construction don’t Bother going been like that for more than 1 year . When I reserved it no where it said it was remodeling. No pool no food and heating the hammering at 7 am..
- 1/5
It was very dirty, i have pictures of the nasty room. I switched rooms and it was just as dirty.
- 5/5
The hotel is undergoing renovations throughout. My room was completed updated and the TV was almost 4 feet wide. The bathroom sparkled and the refrigerator was enclosed so very quiet. There was no road noise on my side of th hotel. No breakfast available. A great value for under $100.
- 5/5
Everything good and nice place to enjoy, live
- 3/5
Building has been under construction for 1.5 year and expected finish another year (per staff). Even though I got a new room, the quality of construction was shotty; running toilet, door won’t close unless I slammed it. Broken electrical switches. No internet during my 3 day stay.
- 5/5
I like professional staff and nice place to live
- 4/5
Currently going through renovation. Will be a very good property after renovation is complete.
- 4/5
It was under renovation when I was there, but overall I was bothered with any noise. Bed was comfy and will rebook again next time
- 1/5
Terrible Hotel
- 3/5
The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, but it remains open to the public. While the upgraded room was decent, the floor was noticeably dirty, and it did not seem to have been properly cleaned. I would consider staying here again solely because of the low price and the hotel's location in a quiet and pleasant area.
- 2/5
It’s being remodeled inside and outside, no Breakfast offerings due to remodeling
