Person who checked me in was rude had an attitude to begin with as soon as I arrived, I checked in and once I tried to open my room keys didn't work had to have another ee open my door, issue continues till the next day they had to send the maintenance person to put a new battery in the key 🔐 for it to work took about half of the morning when we had plans, also the pillowcases where dirty we took them off to sleep and put our own blankets only part that I would say was good was the breakfast and the lady in the kitchen she is sweet .also we had to ask for towels twice ,as well as for toilet paper it's a nice place but not I'm sure they can do better and give better service without attitude. Also the room I booked was supposed to be suite with a living room did not get that and when I asked of course the girl infront said oh I don't know...

We had a great stay for a couple of nights. My family and I were there for a quinceañera party. Is the second time we stayed at this hotel. The fire alarm went off a couple of times in our room no idea why.

Very nice hotel with reasonable price.

The room was clean and it was cleaned regularly during my extended stay. Their breakfast was the next level. M-F scrambled eggs, sausage and occasionally bacon instead of sausage. Refried beans and fresh pico de gallo. The also had enchiladas but I am trying to avoid carbs. My only issue is that they advertise a hot tub. I should have called. The tub hasn’t been working. To fix it, they would have to jackhammer the concrete. Their solution was to jackhammer the concrete, take out the parts, replace it with crushed stone and cover it with concrete. I was able to use the pool but I really wanted the hot tub too.

Taking off one star because the breakfast was very poor. The breakfast room was small and cramped, items kept running out constantly, and the items did not taste great. Coffee and juices tasted watered down. I recommend skipling the breakfast and going to the Denny's across the road.

Very clean, great breakfast great location and the best part was that I accidentally made my reservation for two days before I was actually arriving. I called the hotel and it really kind gentleman was able to change my reservation so fast without charging me any fees because he understood my situation. This is something that I truly appreciated so their staff is quite awesome. 100% recommend this place!

Ample parking. Excellent continental breakfast, including fresh eggs, sausage, and chilaquiles! Not to mention the waffles, so goood. Most of all, the friendly staff. Always there when we needed something.👍👍👍

House keeping is upon request and the rooms looked okay cleaned but my mom found a lot of hair still stuck to the tub when we got there. The bathroom was not fully clean so kind of doubt the rooms were completely cleaned. The lock was broken and cannot lock properly. The room keys had to constantly be replaced due to the magnetic issues when clashes with your phone etc. that was annoying. The parking smelled like weeds. But the staffs were pretty friendly. The host was nice to group us all to one floor.

El jacuzzi estaba sin servicio y fué por lo que decidimos hospedarnos ahi, en la pagina no decía, ni aviso ni nada. super mal, no pudimos disfrutar nuestra estadía como deseabamos.

It is conveniently located next to 805. If one is a light sleeper, ask for a room on the other side from the freeway. I was fine but some others might notice the freeway sound. There is a Circle K right across the street for filling rental cars before heading to the airport. It is only about 20 min from Gas lamp area downtown. Generous breakfast. I would stay here again

The overall stay was great. I stay here often whenever I come down to San Diego. However, I think the bath tub can be a bit more clean. The WiFi does what it needs but it can be slow at times. And the pool area needs some attention as towels were constantly out of stock.

The second hotel: it was very noise, the placed me on to of the laundry room and was noise all the time. Washing starting at 4am. They cleaned my room very well after the roach. And friendly employees.

We had a non working toilet, no water, no hot water, no water again. I was only given a discount for yesterday’s stay-which is not included in this price. I paid separately. This is ridiculous.

The only reason why I am not giving this a whole five is because we were without hot water for two days and the ice machine at the hotel was very moldy in the inside. Other than that my room was clean, the bedding was comfortable, but that’s the only reason why I do not list a full 5 star.

Room was great overall. Beds comfortable. It was clean. how to microwave small refrigerator and coffee maker with coffee. Bathroom was good, with the only exception that the toilet didn’t flush regularly. I would flush it and it wouldn’t really flush down. I’d wait 10 minutes to flush it and then it would flush down fully. I had a friend that was staying there as well in a separate room and she had the same issue. But staff was friendly. They had a little snack bar we can pick up frozen burritos, chips, cookies, etc. I will definitely stay here again.

I had a very pleasant stay here. Starting with management greeting us with warm smiles and had our reservations and our key cards all ready. I asked for some clean towels and didn’t have to wait at all for them. We stayed in a room with two rooms and two beds. The hotel was clean and smelled clean. For breakfast on Saturday morning was very delicious scrambled eggs with a delicious pico de gallo salsa. The chilaquiles where surprisingly amazing. (I cook good Mexican food) the DIY waffles was delicious and fun to make. Overall I enjoyed my stay and was able to rest like if I was at my own home! Thank you and I will definitely stay here again and very soon!

Our room had a Somewhat moldy smell from the a/c unit. Maintenance came in and told me the ac unit is new, and offered for room service to deep clean the carpets. Also ceiling had “popcorn” type material, don’t know if it’s asbestos.

Room felt unclean and a lot of the furniture and fixtures were outdated the metal rack in the room was rusted and un safe. Also the air conditioner was super dusty and had a very bad moldy smell while using it I had to keep it off to refrain from further discomfort. The staff were nice but didn’t seem to care about my room placement upon arrival, I definitely wish it was more discounted due to the lack of renovation in my current room.

Rooms and building looked not the cleanest mostly because of age and management (OLD SHOWERHEADS WITH THE PFTE TAPE SHOWING) checkin staff felt annoyed at us coming in since they were mid conversation with beach other and continued as we were being checked in. The parking area had men loitering or possibly hanging out blasting music until 1am right outside my windown. I had my mothers funeral service the following day to attend. Needed the rest after a long drive from out of State.

This hotel met my needs for this stay. It is very convenient with many restaurants, and for some light shopping. My only problem with the room is the light switch towards the entrance door doesn’t work, light do not come on.

Also, the asphalt in the parking lot is destroyed, just broken pieces almost impossible to roll your luggage on without ruining your wheels so we had to hand carry everything in for 16 people

Hotel location is great, and it appears to be a very safe neighborhood. Reception was great, and room looked clean, and smelled fresh. Until the middle of the night while using the bathroom, a cockroach showed up inside. Then by the bed side, a bunch of baby roaches started crawling up the couch. We could not sleep anymore. This was not as advertised. The room was dingy and old. The outlets were warn out and the AC unit gave off an unclean smell.

The hotel was terrible, it stunk so bad . We were in the second floor but we wandered through the first floor looking for the elevation and the first floor smelled so bad and the second floor worse. Our room smelled like feet and dirty and lien damp. Whole entire building is outdated . The linen was itch. The smoke alarm started beeping around 6am for like half an hour to an hour and then suddenly stopped. I was scheduled to stay two days and I just couldn’t. Yeh smell made my mom nauseas and she handle a lot. We couldn’t stay another night. My mom and I even contemplated leaving that same night but I had been driving for seven hours and I was really tired so we opted to stay but never again.

Worst experience here, got in a little pass 10pm, this hotel where is located looks very unsafe. There was a guy roaming around while looking for parking. I was checking in a guest came to ask front desk for near by restaurant guy smelled like alcohol. Checked in was on the 4th floor, rooms are thin walls people were screaming, laughing there was a baby that wouldn’t stop crying her cry gave me anxiety. My keys were not activated for the room, went down to get them activated waited to go back up and keys didn’t not work. Mind you they have human trafficking posters all over, they have signs to make sure you take all your personal values and not responsible if your car gets broken into. Also I never stayed at a hotel where they take cash deposit. It was $100 with card and $200 for cash. The front desk girl Cassandra not helpful at all. I grabbed my things and left, went to book another hotel. Expedia do better with putting realistic pictures, place sketchy, Smelled mildew in the hallway on 4th floor

Stayed here with my family. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly. Walking distance to Dennys or gas stations too.

Staff was ok. Not super friendly but nice. The room was very clean but the hotel was very old and the area was not the best.

The room was great, I always enjoy. Breakfast is included in free parking.

When first checked in receptionist was very rude and on the phone which was a personal call stating she was going to get her eye lashes done and talking about pricing and how she felt about going after work she was very unprofessional she made us feel like we were bothering her when we checked out receptionist was very nice

The hotel was clean, and my two queen room was spacious. Carpet looked new, everything looked pretty new. The breakfast room is a good size with lots of seating. There were multiple hot breakfast options, and some changed out daily. My room wasn't ready when I got there, so that was annoying. Luckily I didnt get in til after 5. It was ready soon after. The pool is a nice size, and the parking lot roomy. There's a Burger King in the same parking lot, two gas stations and a Denny's closeby. I would stay there again. Chula Vista Village near by with lots of places to grab a meal or a drink. Not too far from the Naval base.

Unfortunally it was unpleasent. We were given a room close to the elevator, and it was very noisy, and I had to beg the front desk lady to move us from that room. Then we went out, and when we came back at midnight, the hotel had no electricity until the next morning

There was a power outage in the late evening and we did not get power back until the morning. Doors remained unlocked due to the outage and it felt unsafe as there was no security or patrolling of the area even though the doors remained unlocked. Also didn’t like that nothing was communicated to us about the outage, we had no AC in the insane heat. The place overall is fair if you wanted something cheap and at a close distant to downtown SD but not sure I would book again due to the lack of communication from staff.

We had a very good stay at this hotel. The staff was kind and welcoming, always ready to help. A special thanks to the very friendly man working in the kitchen. On our last day, the hotel lost power due to a city outage, so the breakfast was very limited (only drinks and some pastries). Still, he did everything possible to make sure we didn’t leave hungry. He was very caring, cheerful, and made us smile even in this situation. Overall, the staff was extremely friendly, and we felt well taken care of.

Upon check-in I was met with a young lady who was more interested in her phone in the back room than helping the guests who arrived around 8:00PM. The elevator smelled like Snoop was a long term guest and the room was less than clean. I wasn’t expecting a 5 star hotel but at bare minimum, clean. Breakfast was simple but decent and that area was pretty clean. 👍. We were told if we needed our room cleaned since we had a 3 day stay, we would need to call in the morning before 11:00 AM. I called in the morning after our first night, only asking for additional towels, they said they would be delivered before 4:00, which was fine since we were out and about during the day. NO CLEAN TOWELS. We went downstairs to 1) ask for clean towels and 2) for additional towels for the pool area. Was told we would get towels delivered to the room and was told the towels were out at the pool area. We went and looked, no towels. Came back at told the front counter rep and she said“maintance is on break and I don’t do their job!” I figured well if they are ok with me soaking wet coming into the halls of the hotel, so be it. After night two I called before 11:00 AM and asked for our room to be cleaned, was told “Will do…” returned around 4:00-4:30… Nothing was cleaned. If I could give zero stars, I would. Now to be fair, I chose this hotel for price, it was several hundreds less than a comfort Inn next to SDSU. Again I wasn’t expecting a grand hotel but at bare minimum, do what you say.

But this is not why my stay was miserable. The reason why my stay was miserable at about 11 o’clock all the power went out there was a blackout not once. Did I receive a call to ask if I had anyone handicapped in the room we were stuck on the third floor having to use the stairs not only that but no AC it was very muggy and sticky out no lights and no shower so instead of checking out at noon, which is checkout time I had to check out at 7:30 in the morning so I could go elsewhere to shower and to get ready for my day. It was the most miserable night sleep I ever had. I only had like one hour sleep to top it off. when I checked out, I asked the front desk for the inconvenience if they could knock off the $55 fee they said no it’s their policy to charge that fee that all hotels do it. All I can say is this year your policy come in you need to change your policy. You have a whole hotel full of guests that were miserable and I wasn’t even asking for a free room all I was asking for is the extra fee to be knocked off.

Fridge was broken mentioned it to the front desk and no one ever came to fix or check it. Wasted the food we bought.

The hotel could use a deep clean.

Location was not a good area. And receptionist were not helpful when checking in. I’d ask a bunch of questions and they would not answer explicitly. They were not helpful. It was a non smoking hotel but yet you can smell certain people smoking pot.

Close to family and venue. Several family members stayed at the same hotel. Very convenient.

Check in time was at 3pm. I got there after 5pm. Room was not available.I was asked to continue waiting until it became available. Not ok. Highly disappointed.

The entire hotel smelled very bad, I don’t know what it was but that’s why we didn’t stay there the other two nights in our trip we left, we could not stand the smell, also the noise of the freeway is not nice.

We had a good sleep at this hotel. I like the fact that the toilet was higher than the average, because I have back problems. They have a wide variety in the breakfast area. Only one elevator was working, the front desk staff assumed we had already stayed there before and didn’t provide information as to where everything was located. When I asked they were friendly and answered my questions. I would book it again in the future everything is near by.

Worst part of my stay when I first arrived at my door it was open. Scared us a little had to check the room to make sure no one was in it. After letting the front desk know about it. He said housekeeping just got done cleaning it and I guess she didn’t close the door. My keys didn’t work only one of them had to go down stairs 3 times to get keys made. Very annoying!!! At approximately 7:00am there was a loud buzzing strange noise that woke me up. Stopped and started off and on. I called downstairs and asked what was going on. The woman said they were working on the elevators. I was almost to the point of asking for a different room. So annoying had to ask for late check out to try to get more sleep as I had interrupted sleep all morning. I stay here often and have never had experienced anything like this before. So not the best stay this time around. ;(

People very kind

I really enjoyed my stay at the Comfort Inn. Everything was very clean and spacious and quiet but I especially liked the beds. The mattress was so comfortable in the sheets were white, clean and crisp and the pillows were so comfortable. I slept like a baby. I had a great experience here. I would definitely use them again. Also there is a Karina‘s restaurant next-door. If you like Mexican food there is also a Burger King in a gas station so very convenient.

The hotel was adequate for the price. The rooms were nice and clean. My chief complaint is the limit parking and freeway noise.

Easy check in

Room had either new or very clean carpet. Everything was in working condition. Cold fridge and shockingly a really hot breakfast that included really good tasting pinto beans slow cooked and freshly made salsa!! The breakfast was so good I opted to skip lunch at the restaurant across the parking lot that I’m told is really good as well.

Room was spacious and clea. And very affordable

Comfortable bed, clean rooms. It was weird that they gave wristbands for breakfast with the datea if the stays on them.

Nice breakfast. Arrived 2 hours before check in no rooms available. Built in 1978 and clearly no updates since. Shampoo, conditioner, lotion empty. Room smelled musty. Limited parking clise too freeway so can hear traffic. Couldn't get back in room keys wouldn't work and had to get security key to open the door. For almost $300 a night expected a better room.

Great location near gas stations, restaurants, shopping centers and freeways. Safe and quiet location.

The pool needed to be cleaned and the Jacuzzi did not work. Our bed was not comfortable. Only one elevator was working. Breakfast was very good and the staff was friendly.
