Didn’t actually spend the night the concert was canceled so I came home The freeway noise and the outside road noise was loud

I little on the older side exterior the rooms are updated with nice lights and flooring etc…for the price you can’t beat it Not that i didn’t like it , just exterior is outdated a bit I was happy to stay and will be staying again

Went out there on a work trip and they did not return deposit to my company card because they said rooms not like smoke neither me or my wife smoke called to speak with Matt to manager who I spoke with while I was there and he seemed like a cool guy but called him five times to get a hold of him in regards to the situation and never got her call back. I will never stay there again. I had to come out of my back his money for the deposit

The hotel is central to everything, the churches, Mercado, parks and vendors. Everything walking distance

Hotel set up is weird , elevator was complete opposite side of our room . Room was remodeled looked nice but you can tell it was a rushed job . Breakfast ends too early . Price was a little high for quality of hotel .

They were able to accommodate my request in putting me in the most quiet room, on the very backside on the top floor. No freeway noise or any noise at all. Perfect remodeled room, very clean and quiet, and great free breakfast! Make sure to try and ask for a room facing away from the freeway, or you will hear a lot of noise. Denny’s is right next door. Parking safe, as is everything. I highly recommend!

A lot of the hotel was under construction. Construction Workers were drinking openly in the parking lot. The parking lot itself was confusing. We went to dinner and came back to find no parking at all. Had to park almost outside on the street. Front desk staff were very nice, respectful, helpful and funny. No parking after dark. Overall it was nice. Only issue was no hot water, not even warm. It was evident three rooms by ours were under construction so upgrades were being done. Breakfast was good, staff at desk welcoming.

Property. Renovation is going on to Remodel units. My room had issues such as: Dog barking Shower/bath not working properly. Shampoo out in bathroom. Bathroom door lock not working Front door dead bolt not working Room was very clean and no odors. If you book, check if rooms on either side have pets. I would have changed rooms if I knew one side Neighbors had pets. Hotel is convenient to Bonita road And freeway. Dennys is walking distance from Hotel. Current owner is upgrading property.

Unless you are visiting family or need to be in South Bay I wouldn't recommend staying in Bonita for vacation. The water is gross in the city of Bonita. The closest beach has issues with Tijuana sewage. It's in San Diego South Bay. If you're on a trip to San Diego this is 10 min away from the city but as a former local I'd recommend staying in San Diego proper unless you need to be in the dog forsaken town of Bonita. Bonita is a safe area but the biggest local attraction is the cemetery! As an SD native I don't recommend South Bay, unless you have family there or have to be there for some reason. Stay in SD proper. If you want a budget hotel I recommend staying in Hotel Circle in SD. If you're looking for luxury there are better options by the beach. I hated my time living in South Bay so much we moved out of state and we were SD locals. It's sad SD crime is so high post COVID. Northern NV is much nicer. San Diego is not as nice as it used to be. Crime is higher, the only redeeming quality Bonita has is that it's safe. San Diego city used to be a safe beautiful city before COVID. It always has had a problem with homelessness which is even worse now. There are tents all over SD county.

I was leery when I pulled in and it was a 4-storey motel but with the elevator and being on the 3rd floor, you couldn't tell. There rooms are simply decorated and clean with no carpets.

Horrible experience reserved 2 rooms that should have been ready ay 3 checked in a little after 3 and 1 one was not ready theyvtold me ut was almost ready then i called to ask if it was ready the gentleman said he would call me back never did went to the lobby 3 hrs later and it turns out that our second room wasnt ready that something was wrong with it. I was never told they kept sayi g its almost ready then it turns out it had a maintamce issue and i was never told until i told them i been waiting for 3 hrs and they gave us a different room. Which i think we sould of been offered that since the beginning since it had maintenance issurs instead of making us wait 3hrs

My big complaint is I left my $300 hearing aid charger on the night table by the bed. It look like an iPod charger but won’t work for that. I called later that night and twice again during the next two days. First time they said the cleaning staff supervisor would be in the next day. Second time they said it hadn’t been found or turned in. Third time, still not turned in. There is no way it wasn’t found. I know exactly where I left it. I can only surmise the cleaning staff has a finders keepers attitude.

We had a great stay. Dog friendly, clean property, had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The complimentary breakfast was also really nice had waffles breakfast sandwiches and a lot of other options.

The rollaway bedding had hair all over it and a piece of rodent poop on it. A dog was barking all night in the next room and manager didn’t care at all. Unsafe area with people smoking pot and staring at females in the parking lot. Thankfully there was one caring staff member named Jeffery who made things right and convinced the uncaring manager to discount our stay. DONT STAY HERE!!!! No idea how they got an 8 rating. It’s loud, filthy, sketchy, and dirty. But thank you Jeffery for caring and going out of your way to help us out.

Parking was convenient during the weekday, though it might be more challenging on weekends since several large containers were taking up parking spaces. The room itself was spotless, and I really liked the décor — very clean and welcoming. However, one of the two beds squeaked loudly with every movement, and being in room 354 near the stairwell made it a bit noisy at times. I could even feel the wall shake slightly when someone in the next room got into their bed, likely because the bed frames are mounted to the wall. It woke me up a couple of times during the night.The breakfast had a great selection! I especially liked the waffles and boiled eggs. Room service was friendly and quick to deliver extra pillows.

Not enough parking because there were connexes taking up parking spaces for remodeling the unused hotel rooms. The room I stayed in had carpet that smelled like pee and old water. The gym was so small, so only 1 person could use it at a time and the equipment was subpar. There should've been fresh eggs during breakfast, not just hardboiled eggs from the night before and then stuck in the fridge to be microwaved for breakfast. Of the two microwaves in the breakfast area, the one on the right was not working. I only found out when I waited for my food to heat up and found out it was still ice cold. Please put an 'out of order' sign up or something. The staff was nice and professional.

I don’t have any evidences so I didn’t say and complain about it. If customers really stay this hotel, I highly recommend you all lock it out all stuffs if the things are a little expensive.

Staff ignored my request for side-by-side rooms when I requested them 1 month ahead. I'm 93, and my companion is 80, and I have a service dog. They assigned one room around the corner and in a cellar, and then 10 minutes later assigned the room next to the companion to a newcomer. I complained to the desk about first-come first first-served and and they said yes, and I asked about my problem, and all they could do was give me a 2nd-floor room on the same side of the building. No care about my age or request, just too bad, I also wanted the quiet side of the Motel and got the front side, which, because of the freeway right next door, was extremely loud all night long. Then there was the bathroom, no Kleenex, no soap in the shower, a shower door that would not stay shut, and the TV sound was almost non-existent. We were told that we were given an upgrade to a new room at no extra cost, but I would have preferred an old room for what we got. The external aspect of the property was very dirty, with old dirt marks, old paint, and generally not very attractive. I would rate this Motel as a 0. And oh yes, about 15% of the parking lot was covered with construction materials, taking up a lot of the dog run area. I have travelled all over the world many times, crossed this country many times, and stayed at old Motel 6s, and I would rate this as one of the worst. I'm sure there is more, but I'm out of breath.

The overwhelming noise from the freeway overpass (25-50 yards away) was awful. Our renovated room had electric outlets next to the bed with the light fixture. Except that they were never connected. We were stretching CPAP cords across the room. We appreciated dog friendly rooms, but the grassy areas were small, unconnected patches. The young man working reception was delightful. The noise was not.

The staff was wonderful. Nice place, clean. The only problem were the bed frames or boxspring was very, very squeaky, making a lot of noise no matter how you moved. We supposedly had an upgraded room. It was a nice looking room overall.

Rooms were clean and updated. The door had gaps that let sunlight and noise through. Since it’s right next to the freeway it was really noisy. Felt like we were in NYC. The free breakfast was microwaveable breakfast sandwiches that you microwave yourself so if there are a lot of people get in line. Homeless roam the intersection right outside the hotel.

Still haven’t receive my deposit refund or an email that the front seat said I should get that day when I checked out

The location was perfect and the room was clean and large. The area was nice and quiet and also close to the freeway. The toilet broke in the middle of the night. The air conditioner did not work right. We could not turn it off or turn it down. The room was very cold, we put a towel over the vent so as not to freeze and we prefer cooler temperatures.

We loved this hotel. Out room was over the lobby, easily accessible with both elevator or stairs. The room nice size, morning food choices very good, staff exceptional. And the buikd, somewhat spanish mission style, a plus next to Denny's with a very cool interior & quality food

For the most part, stay was fine. The bathroom could use some improvements, like a toilet that seats a bit higher and if using shower curtains, please put in liners.

This will be our regular spot for SD getaways, and where we will stay when visiting friends or attending concerts. We'll always aim for the upgraded room

The property was not in an area I would have normally chosen; however, since it was a single night, we went ahead with it. It was conveniently located to the highway. And it was pet friendly, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the room we had contained the smell of previous pets and we woke up with a bunch of bite marks (bed bugs, I guess). Anyways, the staff was excellent, but the bug bites put a real damper on us for the trip. We'll not be re-visiting this particular location.

What I didn't like is young girls ,hookers walking around with hardly no clothes on .at all.

This was our go-to place whenever we visit San Diego but lately this time the floor

The rooms were musty, smelled moldy, asbestos ceilings, power went out they were not prepared not accommodating,no updates, no empathy, still charged the day worst night sleep ever, worst customer experience ever, homeless taking all the ice, no security, gangster's walking around with no shirt's durags, I busted a guy claiming to be doordash pulling on all the doors looking for an open one! Super disappointed, if you need just a bed, beds we're okay but who ever cleaned my room did do an amazing job!

Checked in right away, staff was very friendly. Room was priced very appropriately, comfortable and with the amenities we needed. Nice bathroom, decent shower. Television programming left a lot to be desired, though. And the television was way too small for the room. We did encounter a couple of roaches walking on top of the refrigerator near the microwave, which really did not please us. Understanding that they do come out during the warm weather, we did report it to the front desk. We appreciated their response and made a note to take care of it going forward. John at the front desk was terrific. If necessary to book another hotel in the near future in this particular area, I would consider this once again.

They offered a second room which was nice but it smelled like someone was smoking in it and they had to fabreeze it out. They had a power failure next day but to be fair, it's not their fault. It seemed fairly safe. But I would rather choose another option next time.

This hotel is fine for a quick overnight or two. However you can hear freeway noise and other guests walking by since rooms have exterior doors. The rooms are fairly dark, with not enough lighting in general. On the plus side, great shower, and comfortable beds.

During my stay, I had to request clean towels, washcloths, and extra soap, as the ones provided were very minimal 2 when there were 4 of us. The breakfast was a nice touch, but the options were very limited basically just waffles or a small pre-packaged sandwich. Overall, the hotel didn’t meet my expectations.

When I first try to register or check in, I was told I have to pay an extra $30 because I was one and a half hour early as in before 3 o’clock. That is after driving almost 4 hours to get here. I have never experienced this before and resent it. I chose not to pay the $30 and left only to come back after 3 o’clock. From that point on everything was fine.

Overall the cleaninness

Bathroom has problems. One has to let water go for 15 minutes before hot water starts, such a waste of water. Shower over tub is unsafe as it didn't provide a handle to hold on and get out from the tub which was also high. Walls in both room and bathroom were very old, with bare wood floor in the bathroom.

Our room was so close to the freeway thats all we heard for two nights was traffic, barely slept now we have to drive how in 2 hour traffic. As for the breakfast, I could have brought cereal, oatmeal and muffin from home. No protein options. For that many guest you have in that hotel, there needs to be more options instead of quick carb to grab. Thank god Dennys was in front. The only thing that was convenient about this hotel was we were able to bring our small dog. But I dont know if I would stay again.

Paid for late check out at 3pm because I had to work till 2 and our house was tented and not able to go in until 2 so I had my 78 mother in the room until I could get there to load her cat in the carrier and help her with her walker. They entered her room even with a do not disturb sign and a 3pm check out at 2pm. They told her she had to leave that the room was booked already. She can barely walk let alone handle a cat. She sustained major injuries and when I arrived was very upset and crying. When I went to front desk after I helped her to the car and asked why they even went to her room at 2 when I paod till 3. They said is was a damn miscommunication. The manager was there and no one could explain why this happened. I was in the lobby at 2:30 and asked my check out time and he said 3pm. I said it is 2:30 now, why was she asked to leave the room... Once again the best answer was sorry miscommunication. My 78 year old mother also sustained bruises from falling onto a chair with wooden arms

The hotel stay was an overall good experience. The room itself was ok. The bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast was average but the staff’s friendliness made up for it. Everyone was great and easy to approach. I’d stay here again.

The hotel has a $75 “refundable” fee upon check-in and you should receive the refund, once checked out. I was charged extra and was never properly refunded, and was already staying 3 nights for what I believe to be a little pricey for the location. I never smoked in the room or left it a mess and was still not properly compensated

Nice room, however the bed made a noise every time we moved. There was a weird substance on the handle to theb bathroom

This place is right next to the freeway and you can hear the cars, especially motorcycles, inside the room.

It was a very decent place to spend the night with my family. The breakfast was really good too.

We stayed there to a family get together the extra of the building looked aged. Once we checked in we were surprised how clean and modern the insides were. They obviously spent some money on the interior, which made it really nice

Nice hotel for a quick stay if you aren't going to be in the room much. Room was spacious.

We checked in after the appropriate time made us wait almost 45 minutes because the room wasn't ready checked into the room and smell nothing but pet urine in the middle of the night had to change rooms for what we paid was not worth the hotel never again ! The rooms they show on the website are the renovated upgraded rooms, which are definitely not the rooms that you get. Those are an extra fee which does not state on the website.

Dirty, rooms were not available, ended up staying somewhere else

The room was nice. But the room door is not sealed well. The noise from the freeway was so bad.

Staff was friendly, the bed was very comfortable. The setup it reminds me of Motel 6 or Lazy 8

I got one of the remodeled rooms which does make it look nice but they can at least mop the floors. I noticed my white socks were extremely black from walking around and I check google reviews and I guess I wasn’t the only one. Other than that nice room, great staff and service.
