SpringHill Suites by Marriott Clearwater Beach

Breakfast buffet was very good. Hotel room bathrooms were very nice. Pool was not very clean, hotel hallways leading to the rooms were very dirty. Sharing elevators with employees with work carts was annoying especially when you had to wait for another elevator.

The air conditioning in the location was not cold enough and in our room it would not get cold enough to sleep comfortably. The pool was very nice but unfortunately the heater was on in the pool when it was already above 90 degrees outside. Although the booking said self parking was free, there was no where to self park so I was forced to pay $38 for parking.

Great hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, and fantastic location! I would definitely stay here again if I’m going to be in the area 😄

I booked 2 rooms with balcony and ocean view, but when arrived only one room is ready with no view. The other room is not ready until 7:30pm or around 8pm. The staff keep blaming that we booked it through a third party so they couldn’t do anything about it. They didn’t do anything for us. We just have to wait until they have the room available.

The view was nice. Outlets would not hold chargers. Kept falling out water pressure was horrid. Both me and my son woke up with bites on us. They did refund my remaining nights that were booked but we did switch hotels due to the issues.

Beds are super hard and old. Tv didn’t work couldn’t log in to our own accounts to stream tv. Room was decent. Valet was nice and helpful. Pool was nice, drinks was pricy. Hotel store super over priced. The free breakfast was amazing.

not cool down. We slept at 76 degrees for two days. The staff and maintenance team could not get it cooler. This seems to be a common issue at this hotel as our friend had poor ac and had to move rooms.

Love the location, this was our 2nd stay at this hotel. 1st stay AC in room was not working but we were able to change room and problem resolved. I was disappointed because 1st stay didn't have a balcony. This time I made sure I booked a room with a balcony! Unfortunately the balcony door was so difficult to open i thought I was going to throw my back out, after several attempts my husband managed to open it just enough to squeeze out to enjoy the outside and breeze, each day I went to reception and asked if someone could take a look and they would write it in the book but everyday it remained the same. Such a shame because we really do love the location but plenty of other locations close by to try. Coffee awesome that is available at breakfast and breakfast ok but choice of protein for 2 of our days were Canadian bacon and some other sausage... definitely not breakfast sausage. Ordered food from the bar one afternoon, the wings ok but the other food really not that good. Morning we were leaving water shut off with no warning... not sure what the issue was as no communication. Not sure if balcony door was ever looked at as other than me going to reception and requesting that maintenance check it and the reception person writing in a book every day. .. no other communication.

A beautiful hotel located in the heart of paradise. Breakfast has everything you could want. The pool is amazing. It’s literally across the street from the perfect beach to swim and relax. A couple minute walk from all the boat tours and jetski rentals. Couldn’t be happier with my stay

Very friendly and helpful folks at the front desk. Housekeeping was fantastic and quickly brought anything extra we needed. The pool area was very nice with lots of seating; loungers, couches, and chairs-also family friendly. The breakfast was wonderful and had many choices.

Overall, the Hotel is fine. The staff was wonderful, attentive and very helpful. Our room was okay.There was damage to our carpet damage to the bed frame.Obviously we did not get charged for it.Because it was previously existing damage. I did expect a little more.There are no views of the ocean.There is a view from the bay from one side of the hotel. Breakfast was good quality and there was a lot of options.We did appreciate that. One thing that I didn't see mentioned when I booked.It is that you cannot park your own car.It is valet only, and it is 38 dollars a day for parking plus a tip. I want to reiterate that the staff was excellent.The parking attendants were excellent.Everyone that works here was very nice, very attentive. It does claim to have beach access.And there is beach access.When you cross the street, go through a storefront, go out.The back of the store cross another street and then walk to the beach. I do not consider that beach access. Overall, this has been several Marriott that we've stayed at that are just getting worse and worse condition, and I do believe that we will no longer be staying at any Marriott managed hotels anymore. Also, there are multiple bars and nightclubs right next to the hotel, and it was very loud until about 2am.

We booked a Marriott due to the fact that we had stayed at other Marriott properties and they were always very nice. This hotel showed pictures of it being on a beautiful beach - totally false. On a busy street, no beach. More importantly this property has not been renovated for at least 25 years. Old smelly disgusting carpets throughout and most of the front desk people did not speak English. Ordered food out of desperation, burger with fries ( cardboard and bordering on being off) another chicken burger ordered- a chicken tender straight out the frozen section of Walmart - dried up, cold and on a stale bun with no condiments. Had to literally wave and call out the bartender to order the food as he was engrossed on his phone while customers waited. He then told me he was trying to figure out this bartending thing as he was a maintenance guy! Completely floored by the fact that gross people were walking around the hotel in bikinis, etc with no cover-ups of any kind. Even encountered a woman who was about 5 feet tall weighing about 250 lbs in a g- string bikini walking through the lobby and then sitting in the bar area with her bare ass on a barstool. This property should not be under the Marriott name. Our 1 night stay cost us over $500 - ridiculous for a 1 star hotel experience.

Rooms were very clean and staff very friendly and helpful especially the front desk. Felipe, Isabel, and Jose T. Were outstanding and made a huge difference to the hospitality we received. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic, it was beyond our expectations. The only negative we have to say is we were advised before our stay that we would have access to do Laundry and the Laundry room machines were out of service. We would recommend this hotel.

Slight hiccup in checking in as room was not ready. After checking back several times we were upgraded to a better room and received complimentary parking... a HUGE benefit thanks to the very wonderful KEVIN. Can't say enough about how very helpful and accommodating he was. Definitely made our stay great. Room was very clean, comfortable and taken care of daily. Breakfast was abundant with several selections. No one will go hungry! Pool was great. A short walk to the beach and you are all settled. All staff friendly and helpful. Multiple restaurants, attractions, shopping close by. 5-day trip was wonderful, definitely returning

Good location close to stores, restaurants and bars. A few minutes away from the Pier 61 and boat excursions. Our only complaint was the amount of screaming children at the pool and we had a dog that barked often on our floor that was disruptive at the wrong times. Probably will not stay here again for those two reasons only.

did not get the room i paid for. supposedly there was an air conditioning problem. the person at the desk could have cared less that i was unhappy not getting the room i reserved. you are forced into using valet parking. the app charges a fee for tipping.

Everything was excellent room was perfectly clean. Very spacious pool was excellent. Staff is excellent. The only complaint that I have is the music across the street coming from the other buildings.

Great parking valet staff, very good breakfast.

The room was not clean we arrived and the day bed was full of a white substance. When we called and asked for a different room they said no and offered a roll away bed. I had to push to get someone to come clean it and it took over an hour before they came… they cleaned it but the stains were still there after it dried. The restaurant was very expensive so we didn’t eat there. The bar tender was excellent very friendly and accommodating. Warning theres also a 38$ a day parking fee PLUS TAX. We wont be returning here.

The rooms in the property were very clean housekeeping was very cordial and willing to help. The breakfast buffet was very good every day and the front counter staff was always willing to help. The location of the hotel was in a perfect spot where we can walk up and down the beach.

Rooms were clean a comfortable. Reception staff were attentive and accommodating, breakfast staff were rude. There was a lot of loud noise though - adjacent doors, road noise, toilet flushing in other rooms, music.

The hotel was excellent. Close to the beach, just had to walk across the street and through the store to get to the beach. Just a FYI, you do have to pay $38 for valet parking.

From the Valet, to the front desk, to the housekeeping and amenities everythingvwas generously offered. The breakfast and nost staff in the food service were nice. The GM was on sight and integrated himself in everyaspect of the responsibilities of the establishment. We will be back.

Everything was great for the most part. The only thing I feel is unfair and a bit of an extra money making scheme is the fact that you have to pay $38 per day of your stay for parking . Parking should be free for hotel guests .

Room was older and not very clean. Mattress had a huge dip on one side. Refrigerator was broken, i called twice and gave up. They sre also still on the covid ruls of cleaning your room everyother day. No coffee refresh, towels you have to ask for. Parking is also $38.00 plus tax per day so keep that in mind while budgeting your trip.

Cons: we can hear the neighbouring bar and their nightly karaoke, you will hear the vehicles running on the street too. We had a good stay. Will book again but would like a room away from the street and away from the karaoke bar side of the building. Parking is convenient but expensive for $38/night.

This hotel has an unbeatable location right near the beach with everything you could need within walking distance. Restaurants, shops, and attractions are all nearby, making it incredibly convenient. The beachfront access combined with easy access to local amenities made our stay absolutely perfect. Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed staying here, very clean, affordable and the breakfast was really good! The in house grill was a bit over charged if ya ask me. The one thing that has me indecisive on whether to stay here again or not is I was charged for parking and NEVER informed that I would be, nor have I ever heard of being charged for parking at a hotel where YOU spend YOUR money to stay at their facility! Not sure if I will return to stay with Marriott again!

We were very impressed by this hotel. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet and ALL of the options- wow! The pool area is beautiful and we appreciated the warm pool temp. Our room was spacious, and we enjoyed the balcony view of the harbor. Staff were amazing- polite, accommodating, and attentive. Our only concern was that we didn’t know that valet parking is pretty much your only option as parking is very limited in the area. It worked out great and we just felt that paying the $38/day saved us from additional stress and worry. This hotel is a very short walking distance from the beach and there were plenty of great shopping and dining options close by. We highly recommend if you are looking for a relaxing and stress free stay.

Breakfast was so good. Scrambled eggs, potatoes and black beans. There was also waffles, fruit and a variety of toasts and muffins. Great breakfast.

Everything was good, 2 things I can say when I checked in the room I was given smelled like smoke and service desk immediately changed my room which was great! I had view of the pool and ocean, no complaints. However, breakfast was cold.

The hotel was amazing and we had a wonderful experience. The only thing I didn’t expect was the required valet parking fee of $38/day. We had a rental car and didn’t need to use it a lot since a lot of places were walkable so a more affordable parking option would have been nice. Still, that didn’t take away from our overall experience! I would recommend!!

Had a very nice stay, staff was really helpful, my only issue was the shower, the water was pretty much one temp ( hot), and the floor in the shower felt like you were standing on a trampoline.

This has been my place to stay for several years. The beach is just a short walk away, there are restaurants nearby, the atmosphere is very pleasant, and the hotel facilities are of excellent quality

4 nights with 3 16 year olds and it was great. Love the daybed and the rollout! Only downfall was our bathroom sliding door. Had a hard time opening and closing.

Our stay was wonderful. The room was very clean and the free breakfast was one of the best we have had in a while. We did order drinks from the bar which were very pricey and not so great. We would definitely come back for another stay.

It’s a good experience

Paid for 2 rooms upfront. Nothing due at check in. 2nd day we were out apparently card kicked back when they tried to pay my daily parking. Called me said I was out all day and would take care of it when I got back. They said no problem see is at the lobby. We get back. Hands full of things collected and bought through the day. Try to take everything up to the room and head best down to the lobby to pay for parking.. Door Locked! Could not get in room at all. Had to set everything down and have family wait in hallway. They declined my room keys until I paid for the $38 dollar parking… Unbelievable. Told them to run card again and it worked. Had to issue new room keys. Still cannot believe this is the process and/or policy for the parking.

It has 2queen size bed and couch bed , the room was big and spacious bathrooms clean room clean, no bugs, roaches, they park the car for you, but keep in mind they charge for parking, and it's only 3 minutes to walk to beach it has roof side pool and free breakfast.

I liked that the beach was right across the street through the store. I liked that the bar COCO was right downstairs the drink deals cant be beat! The room was clean, the pillows were EXCELLENT, the staff was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was great cant complain. Overall definitely would stay there again

Hotel is nice, clean and very convenient! However if you have a pet, be aware they have one of the highest pet fees I have ever dealt with. $150 non refundable deposit + $20 pet fee.

We had a wonderful stay, the staff was very friendly, professional, and courteous. They will able to accommodate our early chicken request, held our Amazon packages until we arrived. They were always attentive to our requests. The breakfast was excellent and allow us to have a good start to the day. The pool was very nice.

Weather was amazing, hotel is not the best the first night we were put into a room that had a terrible humming sound that gave us all headaches. Told the front desk about it and they said they are aware of it and nothing they can do until the hvac people come out. Asked for a new room and all they said they have is just a single king. When our original room we have a double queen and pullout for 4 adults and 2 children. Told the front desk guy to have the manager contact me and I have not heard from the manager at all. Thankfully after a first night of no sleep we were able to get a new room for the rest of our stay finally

There is a mandatory $38 parking fee per day, but if you look around you can find cheaper parking.

No room available until 4:20 pm. The staff are not very helpful and friendly. Some one dropped food on the floor in the lobby, no one clean up after 1 hour.

Great for our family of 6! We had availability of all meals at the hotel, but there were plenty of options within walking distance. Pier 60 was near and the beach was essentially across the street. Kids also love the pool! Room was a little tight since we had to use the pull out trundle bed (trundle under sofa), but overall comfortable and quiet throughout our stay. Would stay here again.

Kevin at the Check in desk was great. The breakfast was amazing and so was our room.

The stay started off well but the last day I noticed a bedbug and I took a picture and gathered my things and checked out super super early to go sleep at the airport because I did not want to be there after that. Well, when I got home, I noticed a bedbug on one of my shirts in my luggage and threw away all my clothes I’ve been requesting for a refund and everyone’s been ignoring me when I left out there was a young skinny white guy behind the counter and he told me that when the Manager gets in he would let her know and I would receive a phone call about the refund that I requested for Never got one and I’ve reached out to Expedia and Expedia said they have not gotten an answer from the hotel as well.

We paid for a room with balcony and marina view, but ended up with room that has no balcony and street view. Further more had to pay additional money for laundry/washer and dryer since we had no balcony access to leave towels and swimsuits to dry.

Breakfast not good. This is the second time we stay here and the first time we had a good experience second time not so much. We got two rooms and both had noisy ac units and for one room their was very loud neighbors all hours of the light two nights in a row we complained to the front desk and never received a call for a different room or room change so we decided to just stick it through the last night but will not be staying here again. We also got checked in after 4pm (late). Room service was only done once through our stay

The location was perfect – everything was within walking distance. The beach is just across the street, accessible through a surf store. Restaurants are only a few steps or minutes away. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, with options for everyone. The pool was great, never crowded, and offered stunning views. Plus, there were always plenty of chairs available.

Very modern rooms and hotel, excellent breakfast with many options, wonderful staff from front desk to valets. Again, the room was so nice but my ONLY complaint I would say is they need to steam clean the room sofa. Yuck!

This trip was a birthday gift with my family so first time visiting area and staying in Clearwater Beach. Hotel was decent and clean. They offered little doggie treats for fur babies which is nice. The complimentary breakfast offered a variety of choices and was overall good. They were prompt in responding to requests for extra towels etc. The staff were very friendly and patient and I appreciate the positive experience. Thinking about overall experience I wouldn’t change much, thank everyone who provided such great care.

We are a family of 3 that traveled 1100 miles for vacation and we come to CWB every year we are not high maintenance but do expect fresh towels and beds made we are at the beach and no matter how much you try you still track sand in! And the shower in our room was small that’s fine but the shower head couldn’t be adjusted and it literally felt like it was ripping your skin off and the door never shut properly so it soaked the floor.

Nice rooms and location was great a quick walk to Clearwater Beach. Happy with This property would stay and Recommend

Area close to the beach was nice. the restroom sliding door had to be fixed because it wouldn't slide open. I requested the room cleaning services 2 days after being there( I arrived Friday, asked to be clean on Sunday, but they said it was too busy.) I seen the same rooms on our floor get cleanup multiple times on our stat(5 nights). they finally came on Monday but 6 month old was sleep so I told them no. They came again on Tuesday but I told them no since we were already leaving Wednesday. I was not happy how that was handled.

It could’ve been better

We lived the room, the breakfast, the pool, the security of the hotel, and the hot water! We did not like the super expensive daily parking fee. It was outrageous!

Very accommodating. Approved late checkout for a late departing flight! Kids were very happy with amenities:). Will visit for sure again!

I liked everything

Great location, one block away from the white sand beach. The hotel is centrally located from everything and within walking distant.

Should ask if there are pets by your room. You will hear them.

Key cards did not work, 2 rooms in same entrance, a/c wasnt cold. No self parking, have to cross traffic to beach. Elevators are messed up, goes up when u want down.

I didn’t like that you have to valet almost $40 a day to park the car

The carpet in the room needed to be cleaned.

So convenient to everything. Clean room. Great little balcony. Coco’s is a great bar and grill next door. The breakfast at the restaurant was so so. There was a baseball team staying at the hotel so we opted to have breakfast elsewhere. We rented a golf cart and the valet let us come and go as we please and made it very easy. We are planning to stay here again in August

Great hotel

Upon arrival. They screwed our room up. Stuck us in a handicap room. Air conditioning stayed on 76 degrees. No exhaust in bathroom. Black mold above shower. They said they didn’t have anything else available. So that’s where we stayed.

Great stay! Close to the beach and walking distance to shopping and food and drinks!!!
